I usually think "Soulslike" is a loaded term; FromSoftware's legendarily grim and difficult 2011 role-playing game Dark Souls inspired a crowd of similarly grim, difficult games, but I don't think any of those imitators can compare to the regal original.      One Destiny 2 gun keeps appearing in cutscenes, and now we know why

A Destiny 2 gun called the Khvostov 7G-02 has been appearing in Lightfall cutscenes, leaving players wondering why this weapon, which players receive early on as part of the FPS game's New Light campaign, seems to appear without a good reason. This led some players to suspect it may return as an Exotic weapon, but Bungie implies that won't happen. In a recent post as part of the Destiny 2 team's This Week at Bungie blog post series, cinematics director James Meyers shared why this gun makes a seemingly random appearance.

All Resident Evil 4 Remake S Rank requirements

Want to know how to get the Resident Evil 4 Remake S Rank? Much like the original, and if we're honest, in every Resident Evil game, there is a speed-running element that rewards you with powerful items if you master the game's movement and efficiently kill the biologically altered monsters trying to eat your delicious brains. Despite the scores after each chapter saying otherwise, achieving this goal isn't as complex as it seems.

You see, the only two things that affect whether or not you get the S Rank in Resident Evil 4 Remake are the difficulty setting you set the game to at the beginning and your total completion time. However, what if we told you there is now an S+ Rank, and you have to start a fresh save to get it? It's a challenge only fans of one of the best PC games would even consider, and one we can try to help you achieve by listing the requirements.

Resident Evil 4 Remake cast and voice actors list

Recognise anyone from the Resident Evil 4 Remake cast? Capcom's iconic game strikes a fine line between cheesy and scary, thanks primarily to the performances of the excellent cast. There are only a few games in the world that have the audacity to end a long and intense fight with the line: "Where's everyone going? Bingo?".

Just like the other Resident Evil remakes, don't expect to see many returning voice actors from the original. While this is a remake of an eighteen-year-old horror game, we should clarify that there are spoilers in this guide just in case you want to avoid any potential surprises. If Capcom manages to work its magic yet again on the series, there's a good chance Resident Evil 4 Remake could become one of the best PC games to launch this year.      How many chapters are in the Resident Evil 4 Remake?

Compared to the original, the Resident Evil 4 Remake chapters are spread out a lot further. The story still follows the same beats as the original game, for the most part, anyway, but some extended sequences and new tweaks make it necessary for the game to add additional chapters. Heck, some throwaway boss fights and sequences in the remake are now entirely different, and if we're being honest, a lot more fun.

So for those wanting to know how long Resident Evil 4 Remake is, we have a list showing the distribution of the Resident Evil 4 Remake chapters. This can help those searching for all the collectibles, such as the Resident Evil 4 Remake blue medallions, to complete all the Resident Evil 4 Remake achievements. Since you can't return to each section afterwards, we have a short rundown of how the game splits chapters across the main story.

Since collecting Spinels in Resident Evil 4 Remake is so vital for grabbing valuable items from the Merchant, such as the stock for the Red9 handgun, you'll need to complete many requests in one of the best PC games of the year, and by far the simpler ones to complete are to shoot down all of the Resident Evil 4 Remake blue medallions.      Resident Evil 4 Remake Church puzzle solution

The Resident Evil 4 Church puzzle involves a gorgeous stained glass decorative piece, which you must align to reveal the Los Illuminados symbol which then unlocks a secret gate. While this puzzle may look incredible, with the stained glass bathing the church pews in red, blue, and green light, it can be frustrating if you're not sure where to look or what to do.

This puzzle comes early on in the horror survival game, and one of the best PC games of all time, before you've even found Ashley Graham who, as we discuss in our Resident Evil 4 Remake review, hasn't much improved from the damsel in distress she was in the original. Provided you've already completed both the Resident Evil 4 Remake combination lock puzzle and the Crystal Marble puzzle, you're then informed of Ashley's location, a church run by Los Illuminados. Once you get there though, another puzzle awaits you, in true Resident Evil fashion. There are three parts to this one, so here's everything you need to know to solve the Resident Evil 4 Remake church stained glass puzzle.

Puzzled by the Resident Evil 4 Remake combination lock puzzle? The solution is pretty simple, but the trouble is in knowing where to find it. Easily one of the best PC games right now, and of the last 20 years, the Resident Evil 4 Remake is here, and, as we discuss in our glowing Resident Evil 4 Remake review, does justice to the original. While there are fewer puzzles in the remake than the series' previous survival horror games, there are still plenty to keep you busy, and the combination lock puzzle in chapter two is just one of the first. If you're stuck in the Village Chief's Manor on your way to the church and can't progress, the item you need is hidden behind the combination lock on the ground floor, so here's how to solve the Resident Evil 4 Remake combination lock puzzle.

The Resident Evil Remake Crystal Marble puzzle is one that perhaps troubles people the most as it's pretty finickity - but then what would a Resident Evil game be without a puzzle or two to stop you in your tracks. There's no denying that Resident Evil 4 and its remake are more action heavy than its predecessors, but the early chapters at least feature a good few puzzles to flex your brain muscles to.

The first chapter of Videoverse took me right back to the early 00s last night. I can still remember sitting at the family PC in our living room, begging my parents for more internet time because I wanted chat to my friend on MSN Messenger. We had to buy hours of internet in those days, and between my young teenage self and my three brothers, we absolutely devoured those meagre weekly limits, always pleading for more, more, more as we became absolutely captivated by this new world of the online.

Luckily, Emmett doesn't have to contend with such antiquated restraints in Videoverse, as his portal to the internet is built right into his enormous Nintendo DS-like home console, the Kinmoku Shark. As well as using it to play games reminiscent of old 16-bit classics, there's also a Nintendo Miiverse-esque social network on the Shark that Emmett uses to chat to his friends, post fan art of his favourite game, Feudal Fantasy, and feel part of something bigger. What hasn't changed since those early internet days, however (or indeed, the internet today) are the types of people he interacts with - there are trolls, of course, but there are also plenty of nice people here to support him, and the emergence of seemingly new user (and budding fan artist) Vivi quickly becomes the main subject of Videoverse's current free demo that's available as part of Steam's Storyteller Festival.

With the solemnity of Samwise Gamgee informing Mr Frodo that one more step will take him the furthest he's ever been from home, I recently realised that it'll soon be the longest we've gone without a new Life Is Strange game since the franchise debuted in 2015. I looked into it and sure enough, the current record-holder is the gap between the season one finale of Life Is Strange and the first episode of its prequel Before The Storm: 1 year, 10 months, and 12 days. That means that come mid-August of this year — specifically, the 14th, which marks the 683rd day since True Colors' Wavelengths DLC released — LIS fans will be leaving the Shire whether we like it or not.

I suspect that Life Is Strange: Steph's Story — the first prose novel tie-in to the franchise, released on March 21st — was commissioned with fans like me in mind. Fans who work out useless trivia like the above because they need something to occupy them when there's no new game on the horizon and they've played all the existing ones to death. Fans who know every character's canonical middle name and birthday. Fans who complain that it feels like they never have time to read any more, but nevertheless finished the novel and wrote a silly supporter post about it within ten days of publication. Of course I really liked Life Is Strange: Steph's Story. But will you, as a person whose relationship with this franchise is statistically guaranteed to be more normal than mine?

Silent Hill 2 James statue

Figure and merchandise manufacturer Gecco announced a new 1/6 scale statue of James Sunderland, the main character of Silent Hill 2. The figure costs 42,000 JPY (roughly $316 USD), and it is expected to release between August and November 2023. James' worn-out military jacket is reproduced faithfully, down to the patches and his breast pocket flashlight. The base of the figure also includes some used health items. Gecco also revealed Maria as the upcoming third figure in the series, which can be displayed alongside James' figure to recreate their first meeting in Rosewater Park.

Princess Connect! Re: Dive Closes on April

Crunchyroll Games announced it is terminating services for the worldwide version of Princess Connect Re: Dive after two years. In preparation, the in-game shop closed and in-app purchases are no longer available. Players who already downloaded the game can still play as usual until April 30, 2023, when the game will finally shut down.

Current players can still use resources such as jewels and even claim two new characters before the game closes, Rin (Ranger) and Mahiru (Ranger). In reference to the end of service, Crunchyroll also commented that "countless stories (…) will be left untold." This alludes to the fact that services are continuing normally for the original Japanese version.

Below you can see the announcement by the Princess Connect Re: Dive English Twitter account.

https://twitter.com/priconne_en/status/1641606313150128128?s=20

Crunchyroll did not state a reason for ending support for the game. Furthermore, the game already appears as vaulted on the publisher's website, and a quick search on Android and iOS app stores shows no results. On the same note, many players expressed their frustration with Crunchyroll's treatment of the game.

Re: Dive was first launched by Cygames in Japan in 2018. It is a sequel to 2015's Princess Connect. Crunchyroll Games later published an English version globally in 2021. The game featured many collaborations with other mobile titles such as Granblue Fantasy and Dragalia Lost, the latter of which also shut down on November 2022.

Princess Connect Re: Dive is currently available on mobile devices until April 30, 2023, when the global version's service will end.

fate/grail league

It's April Fools' Day once more, and Lasengle has prepared a baseball game version of FGO to celebrate. The title of the game is Fate/Grail League. Each Servant has their own stats when it comes to how well they play on the field. They also have skills that you can use to either pitch the ball or bat it out into the field.

The story starts when the mysterious Csejte Baseball Stadium appears as a small pseudo-Singularity. You can create your own dream team from over 370 Servants, each with their own skills and strengths. In order to get more players, you have to face off against different teams. One of the teams comprises of Bakumatsu era Servants, while another is full of Sakura faces.

As for how to play the game, it's very similar to other baseball games on mobile devices. When the ball flies at your batter, you have to time when to swing the bat to control which direction it flies to. The direction is very important, because if you hit it towards a defender who can catch it, you'll be out. There are also Hit Panels in the back to determine how many bases your players can advance or if it's a Home Run. As for the pitcher, you can throw a variety of balls, such as changeups or curveballs. A meter will show up for you to control how hard your Servant will pitch.

There's also an AR mode where you can choose your favorite Servants and take a picture of them. It's unknown how many characters you can have at each time.

Riyo drew some of the baseball Servants for Fate/Grail League. Not only is Riyo the character designer behind Bunyan, but he is also the mangaka for the Learning with Manga! FGO series. This is not the first time that the developers for Fate/Grand Order released a whole different game for April Fools'. Last year's game was Fate/Pixel Wars, also with art from Riyo.

Fate/Grail League is available on mobile devices in Japan, and it will only be playable on April 1, 2023. The actual FGO app is available on mobile devices as well.

FFVII Remake Scarlet footrest

Ever since the release of the game, Square Enix shared plenty of details and trivia about many major and minor characters that appear in Final Fantasy VII Remake. This time, the official FFVII Remake Twitter account shined the spotlight on none other than the Shinra Security Officer who is in charge of being Scarlet's footrest. Naturally, his name is Ottoman.

Even though Ottoman works as a Shinra Security Officer, his duties do not see him facing Avalanche or other enemies of Shinra on the front lines. Instead, he has the very important and special orders to serve as a footrest for Scarlet, Shinra's director of Advanced Weaponry, as seen in FFVII Remake Intermission, when she sits in her chair and heals her swollen feet.

Apparently, Ottoman's back is especially cushioned for maximum comfort. Because he is Scarlett's favorite employee, he is on duty almost 24 hours of the day. At the end of the tweet, Square Enix added the cheeky remark "I hope you all have a good rest of the weekend."

You can check out the original Japanese Tweet here:

Some other details that Square Enix recently shared include the reason why Cloud and other FFVII Remake characters could see the Whispers.

Cygames didn't show actual Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Siegfried gameplay at Evo Japan 2023. Instead, only a clip of footage of him appeared in the new trailer. It showed that this will be the unmasked version of the Dragon Knight. (In Granblue Fantasy proper, there's a masked and unmasked version, as well as other alts of him in outfits like a swimsuit or yukata.) The developer did confirm the Order of the Black Dragon Captain will use his sword and have access to Manigance for a risky attack buff that cuts his health.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 12 Key Item Glitch Prevents Progress, Will Be Patched

It is currently possible to hit a glitch in the Resident Evil 4 remake that keeps people from progressing and forces them to restart. Capcom announced the chapter 12 key item is broken in Resident Evil 4. It is preparing a patch. In the meantime, it did note a way that people can avoid triggering it if they haven't reached that point in the game yet.

Editor's Note: There will be Resident Evil 4 remake spoilers for the Chapter 12 key item behind this glitch below.

So the problem here revolves around Luis' Key in Resident Evil 4 remake. Technically, the event that kicks off your acquisition of it begins at the end of Chapter 11. However, when Chapter 12 of Resident Evil 4 begins is when you actually get the key item and can potentially experience the glitch. However, if someone performs an action at the start of Chapter 12 before seeing the notification on-screen that they have Luis' Key, then they won't get it. Capcom specifically mentioned attacking with the knife as a trigger for the glitch.

Until the patch for Resident Evil 4 remake appears, the only way to fix this issue is to load a past save. If you don't have one before Chapter 12, then that means restarting. If you don't have the key, then you can't access Luis' Lab in Chapter 15 and will be stuck.

This is one of multiple Resident Evil 4 remake glitches Capcom plans to fix with a patch. Another issue involved flickering lights in the game.

The Resident Evil 4 remake is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
