Saying "history will not be kind to [thing or person]" is a practice that has always fascinated me. Who are we to judge the future's thoughts on the topics of today? That's the future's problem. All we can do in the present, as historians or otherwise, is evaluate what has come before us.

April 20, 2023: We checked for new Shinobi Life 2 codes.

What are the new Shinobi Life 2 codes? Shinobi Life 2, which was formerly known as Shindo Life, is among the most popular gacha games on the Roblox platform thanks to its lightning-fast action, wealth of unlockables, and Naruto-like vibes. Developer RellGames is also an extremely active creator, delivering a tight weekly update schedule and serving up regular codes for rellcoins, spins, double XP, and more.

If you want to stay ahead of the competition, you'd be wise to make use of our codes list down below, which we update on a regular basis to bring you the latest rewards before they're gone for good.      Punch Wall codes April 2023

April 20, 2023: We checked for new Punch Wall codes.

Want all the new Punch Wall codes? The hit Roblox game tasks you with destroying a series of walls in order to reach a trophy, with the catch being that each additional wall in your path has increased health, making it that much tougher to take down. Training is key here, as spending time in your base and wailing on the punch bags will increase the damage you inflict with each strike.

The free PC game has a gacha-style pet system, and you can trade all of your 'win' trophies for a chance at some interesting companions. Friendship isn't the only thing gained by risking your trophies; each pet offers you an increase in your training, so if you manage to pull a rare beast in the Roblox game, you'll be blasting those walls in no time. Luckily for you, there are several Punch Wall Simulator codes you can enter to bag yourself some free gifts - including pets. Here are all the currently active Punch Wall Simulator codes.

Creating a fresh character in the free PC game can be tough, and having to fight Hollow to level up can be a grindy process, so getting a bunch of gifts as you begin your journey will make the Bleach-inspired Roblox anime brawler a much more enjoyable experience.      Honkai Star Rail tier list April 2023 – the best characters

Looking for a Honkai Star Rail tier list for launch? Judging the best Star Rail characters is tricky. After all, the game's not properly out yet, and balancing will likely differ between recent beta tests and the first public version. In addition, its gacha mechanics make it challenging to circle in on getting the characters you want in your party outside of sheer luck. However, there are already some clear front runners to keep an eye on at launch.

The real point of a Honkai Star Rail tier list is to rank your pulls against the consensus from the free PC game's already burgeoning community. Even before the Honkai Star Rail release date, they've already begun speculating who will be the top characters overall, who will excel against bosses, and who's great when farming for materials. Of course, with more banners set to arrive in the future, similar to Genshin Impact, we'll see new Honkai Star Rail characters appear in the tier list. In the future, you'll also be able to redeem Honkai Star Rail codes to get some free pulls, but for now, here are the initial rankings for the launch cast.

Looking for the best Warzone 2 shotgun? The short-range weapons might not immediately spring to mind when you think about the sprawling Al Mazrah and its high, long-distance vantage points. Still, you may be surprised about just how well it might serve you. After all, the map is dense with buildings, and you're likely to run into an opponent tucked into the corner of a room eventually. You will also certainly get more up close and personal once the storm circles close in.

The best shotgun in Warzone 2 is the KV Broadside. With an exceptional rate of fire, this shotgun can decimate foes at close range in the battle royale game. However, we'd certainly recommend running Overkill so you can accompany your shotgun with one of the best Warzone 2 guns - ideally one with a bit more range.

Street Fighter 6 DLC Characters AKI Ed Rashid Akuma

During the Street Fighter 6 showcase, Capcom revealed that AKI, Ed, Akuma, and Rashid will appear in the game as DLC. They will appear as staggered releases throughout 2023 and 2024. However, only illustrations of the characters as they will appear in Street Fighter 6 was shown during the broadcast. This means that no gameplay footage or 3D renders were shown. These DLC characters will be available to obtain through a separate pass, or buy purchasing the Deluxe Edition of Street Fighter 6.

The first DLC characters that will appear in Street Fighter 6 is Rashid, who will arrive sometime in Summer 2023, with AKI to release in Autumn 2023, Ed to appear in Winter 2024, and Akuma to arrive sometime in Spring 2024. Outside of this, no other playable characters were mentioned.

https://twitter.com/StreetFighter/status/1649178469530738693?s=20

However, the showcase did reveal that characters from Final Fight, like Carlos Miyamoto, will appear in the World Tour mode. World Tour mode is one of several available game modes, but this one allows for players to create their very own character and experience a story set in the Street Fighter universe. Players will encounter significant characters like Chun-li, and even have their own rival.

Street Fighter 6 will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 2, 2023. A demo is available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Street Fighter 6 Beta Announced

During the Street Fighter 6 Showcase, Capcom announced that a demo for the game is on the way. People will be able to test out the game on the PS4 and PS5 immediately. On April 26, 2023, it will come to other platforms. People's avatar will carry over, but saved progress will not. This comes after various leaks and rumors suggested one would happen at the end of April.

The teaser also announced some of what people can expect from it. The announcement noted that an avatar can be made and carried over to the full game. People can also test out World Tour mode. Ryu and Luke are confirmed Legendary Fighter masters for it.

Me & Roboco Netflix

The anime adaptation of Me & Roboco will appear on Netflix starting on May 1, 2023. As of the time of writing, there are already six episodes, since the show started airing in December 2022. Me & Roboco is sci-fi comedy about the misadventures of robot maid Roboco and ten-year-old everyman Bondo Taira. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

The general plot of Me & Roboco follows average boy Bondo and his robot maid Roboco. She is very clumsy, buff, and powerful, and generally makes Bondo's life weirder and more chaotic. Me & Roboco is like a combination between Amelia Bedelia and Doraemon. It's actually like a parody or modern homage of Doraemon, since all of the main characters take physical cues from the cast. Gachi Gorilla and Motsuo Kaneo are essentially much nicer versions of Gian and Suneo, for example. The series also makes lots of references and parodies to other works.

The anime is airing on TV Tokyo in Japan and the manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. Viz Media has licensed it in English. It is very popular in its native Japan. Over a million copies of the manga are in circulation as of 2023. As well, in 2022, it was #11 on a list of manga series recommended by bookstore employees around Japan.

Me & Roboco will start airing on Netflix from May 1, 2023.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Union Attacks and Ouroboros Powers

Nintendo has released a variety of short gameplay videos and details on new combat mechanics like the Ouroboros Powers and Union Attacks, in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC. While it seems characters won't be able to change classes, combine different Arts, or perform Interlink, these mechanics have been replaced with new systems for the first generation of Ouroboros..

Ouroboros Power seem to be Arts that characters can equip on the left side of the Art palette. When like Fusion Arts in the main game, it will create powerful combined moves. Additionally, when using fused Fused Ouroboros Powers, the faint aura of an Interlink form can be seen surrounding each character.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648941602323435520

In the video shared by Nintendo, several characters use their own Fused Ouroboros Powers. As an example, Matthew can be seen combining Raging Force and Mighty Strike, creating the unique Mighty Force attack. By equipping different arts in different slots of the Art palette, characters will use different and unique Fused Ouroboros Powers.

The Interlink mechanic has been replaced with Union Combos. These are special attacks, similar to the Level 4 Blade Specials present in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its DLC. However, this time around, players will be able to fully mix and match which two characters join for a Union Combo, as shown in the video below.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648942142046494720

Union Combos consist of two parts: the ability or attack performed. known as Union Skill; and the Union Combo effect. Union Combos apply no matter what when an enemy is Launched. This means that Burst combos or Knockback combos can be performed even on Launched enemies. A second video showed a healing Union Skill when combining Nikol and Shulk. It also showed different colored frames for the character combinations. This might indicate the existence of some sort of character affinity between party members.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648942540023029760

Nintendo also released a relationship chart for all the new and returning characters that will appear in the Future Redeemed expansion.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC will release on April 25, 2023. It will be the last wave of DLC for the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Community Board

Through the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC Japanese official website, Nintendo revealed that the Community Board from Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country will make a return. Additionally, the Collectopaedia from the original Xenoblade Chronicles and a new Enemypaedia will appear as new community systems in the DLC. These systems will grant the player Affinity Points, and they can be used to upgrade the character's abilities and stats.

In Future Redeemed, players can earn Affinity Points through various methods like exploring, meeting new people, collecting items, and defeating enemies. You can take a better look at some of the details about Affinity Points, and the Community Board shared in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC Japanese official website below.

[gallery link="file" ids="960159,960157,960158,960154,960155,960156"]

The Community Board will make a return, and it seems to work as it did in Torna – The Golden Country. During the course of Future Redeemed, players will interact with different people in the world of Aionios, and will be able to help them with problems. This will grant Affinity Points, and add them to the Community Board. It is unclear if reaching a certain level in the Community Board will be required to progress in the main story.

The Enemypaedia is a new feature similar to the Enemy Guide from Xenoblade Chronicles X. After a monster is defeated, it will be registered in the Enemypaedia. Similarly, the Collectopaedia will register the different items characters can encounter in the field. Affinity Points will be granted to players after collecting a certain number of each item, and after defeating a certain number of each type of monster.

Nintendo recently shared new details about Matthew and his partner A, two new playable characters in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch. The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC releases on April 25, 2023.

Black Clover manga hiatus

Black Clover will go on hiatus for two Weekly Shonen Jump volumes. It will appear in the #21 and #22 combination issue, but will not be in #23 or #24. Then, it will restart from the Issue #25. Issue #25 will come out on May 22, 2023. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

Though the hiatus will only last for two volumes, it's technically going to last a month. There is no information as to the details behind the author's hiatus. Recent Black Clover manga chapters have introduced a few major twists, such as Lucius's return. So the timing of the break is slightly unfortunate for fans of the manga.

Hiatuses in manga are hardly a surprise. Yoshihiro Togashi, who also wrote manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, has had to go on frequent hiatuses during Hunter x Hunter's run due to health concerns. It's unclear if a decline in health is also the reason for Tabata's break. Western fans replying to the Shonen Jump News Twitter have been supportive, with many of the top comments hoping that he has a good break with his family.

Black Clover is available to read in Weekly Shonen Jump and the hiatus will last until Issue #25 (May 22, 2023). You can also watch the anime via streaming services such as Crunchyroll.

DNF Duel

DNF Duel looked incredible when it launched on PC, PS4, and PS5 back in June 2022. It had a solid roster of striking characters (even if their names were terrible), and everyone looked fantastic in action. They also looked totally ridiculous with their absurd movesets, too. While getting blasted with Troubleshooter's Get On Fire didn't feel good, it looked amazing. When it was announced that there was going to be a Switch release, I wondered how they would manage to get those gorgeous visuals to work on that console. The unfortunate answer? They didn't.

Don't get me wrong. For still shots, character portraits, and anime cutscenes, things look great. You still get to enjoy all of the bright, fun characters and places. It's when you see the actual 3D model of your fighter in a match or a story mode cutscene that you can see the sacrifices made to get this game running on Switch. The 3D models are all pretty blurry, seeming to float in a Summertime haze all the time. There's this unpleasant fuzziness to their appearance that makes me feel like I'd forgotten my glasses. It's not to the point where it's headache-inducing, but it's disappointing to look at.

That said, DNF Duel runs well in exchange for that visual cost. I flipped between PS5 and Switch matches on both systems, and while I have a feeling the Switch version is running slightly slower, it still felt like it was running at a good clip. Tossing out combos and filling the screen with fiery explosions doesn't cause any slowdown and appears to run very close to the same speed as the PS5 version. I played the PS5 version fairly extensively at launch and have picked at it over the last few months, so I am decently familiar with how it feels. To that point, they feel close enough that the difference in speed is negligible.

DNF Duel

The difficulties with the visuals melt away when the matches get going, too. This game's roster of sixteen fighters all feel quite varied, offering wild takes on zoners, grapplers, rushdown, and other archetypes. What I mean by "wild" is that full-screen attacks and grabs feel like the norm in this fighter. Troubleshooter's above-mentioned Get On Fire covers almost the entire screen with a cannon blast. Kunoichi can summon a flaming tornado that's the full height of the screen and the fling it all the way across the arena at you. It feels like EVERYONE has massive, long-range moves like this.

The result is that every DNF Duel match feels chaotic and explosive. When you're trying to rush in to smack Inquisitor, she suddenly drops a massive spinning saw wheel in the middle of the arena, cutting through your health. Take a step against Ranger and he'll just shoot you from most of the way across the screen. Or throw the guns at you which then shoot you as well. It seems like everyone is a bit of a zoner because they all have these massive hitboxes or can hit you from half-screen or further. I feel like you always have to be playing very carefully or extremely aggressively with little in-between.

I enjoy the mayhem, to be honest. You even have to learn to be aggressive in your defense, dash blocking (or using the game's defensive roll) to keep approaching to pull off your attacks, or doing so to bait out your enemy's slow moves so you can punish their recovery. It feels like I'm always pushing forward when I play it, as sitting around playing defensively will just get you beat down from these huge moves. Plus, it's not like you don't have your own wacky moveset that can stomp opponents from afar. It also means you really need to know what your foes can do, though, lest you walk into something that chews you to pieces. Not that this isn't true of most fighters, but it feels a bit more like a vital requirement here.

While just about everyone has a powerful moveset in DNF Duel (poor Grappler, being a grappler, feels short-changed in a game where he has to get close to all of these long-range fighters), there is a limit on what you can do. Each character has an MP gauge under their health bar that fuels many of your most damaging strikes. This starts at one hundred and drains fairly quickly as you use it, but will also refill back to one hundred over time. It charges pretty fast, and has a way to speed it up if you need access to your best abilities faster. You can't just spam your strongest abilities, so this MP bar does put SOME limitation on how hard you can go after someone.

There are some quirks to the bar, though. The game ties special moves to the usual quarter circle + button inputs, but you can also just hold a direction and hit your MP Skill Button to pull off those same powerful moves. The catch is that your MP bar will start to recharge faster if you do the more complex input. This is wonderful for beginners as they can do cool attacks very easily, and offers a small reward for people who'd rather do the full input or who are more practiced at those full inputs. It also allows skilled players the option to choose which they wish to use in a pinch, opting for the simpler, faster moves at the cost of some MP recharge if they need something that second. It's a sharp, flexible system that offers a lot regardless of skill level.

Your MP bar has a few more elements to it in DNF Duel. If you drain yourself of more MP than you have available, the game will typically still let you do the move as long as you have a few MP left to start it. However, you'll go into a temporary Exhaustion state where it takes a while before your MP recharges. This can put you in huge trouble, but you can also decide if it's worth the risk to go for that final haymaker if your opponent is low on health. Also, you can charge up to two hundred MP by taking damage in the fight, which can cause some unexpected upsets if you're getting paddled by your opponent and then just unload on them.

As you get roughed up, you'll note that some of the damage you take is represented by a white bar that doesn't immediately drain. This is White Health, and if you avoid getting hit for a bit, it will start to regenerate. Get smacked from an MP-based attack and you'll lose it all, though. Just the same, this encourages players to stay mentally invested in the fight, even if their health is getting low because a portion of it can be recovered if you make a few smart plays. And since you'll likely have extra MP since you've been getting hit, you can cause a big turnaround and gain most of your health back at surprising moments.

A further mechanic, Awakening, can also make the match swing back in your direction when you're losing. When players get to thirty percent health or below in DNF Duel, they enter Awakening state, which activates some skills unique to that character. Berserker starts absorbing life from the damage he deals (twenty percent). Striker does increased damage to the opponent's health and guard. You also gain access to a single powerful Awakening Skill that you can use once a round. They aren't invincible and they cancel out your Awakening state bonuses, so you want to be VERY sure you're going to hit with them. If you do, though, they tend to just maul your opponent's health, cutting through any lead they might have.

These mechanics really increase the mayhem as you play this fighter. You have moves that cover huge portions of the screen, players can easily get the drop on one another from across big distances. Even if someone does that to you, though, you might just take the damage as White Health and be able to recover it if you're careful. Your opponent can do the same, though, so you might drop them into Awakening state when you have a huge health lead and then get slammed with their most powerful move, bringing you right down to their level. It always feels like you're one mistake away from disaster and one smart move away from getting the upper hand. It keeps you fully engaged throughout each match.

That said, that chaos also seems to undo some of my interest in taking DNF Duel seriously. Since all of the fighters have long-range movesets and huge abilities that come out often, they don't feel quite as special. I know technique is still important to playing the game well at high levels, but at my skill level, it mainly feels like a race to do the biggest move, or that it can be a little too easy to juggle someone to death despite the systems. It feels a little too loose and wild for my tastes, which makes it great for something to play recreationally. It's just not something I feel I want to commit to and learn to play very well.

dnf duel

It's still very solid for that, though. As I said, the characters all feel pretty wild, so there's lots of fun to be had in just playing around with them and seeing who you like. You can take that knowledge to battle local opponents, or try out the single player Arcade, Story, and Survival Modes. Story mode is extremely dull, as the plot is utterly uninteresting fantasy drivel. It takes place over the same number of matches as Arcade Mode, but that story drags it down, so you're better off just playing Arcade Mode. Story Mode is also painfully easy, so if you want any kind of challenge, you'll want to do Arcade. Survival pits you against endless foes until you fall, so it's a good way to see if your skills are growing. They're serviceable modes that will do you well if you just want to goof off with the game alone.

As for the online matches, they unfortunately could not be tested at the time of this review. They run well on the PS5 from my personal experience, but that doesn't tell us much about how well they run on the Switch. However, it's been confirmed that the Switch version will not have rollback netcode, so you won't be seeing as smooth a performance on Switch Online as you do with other platforms. If online is a major concern for you, you'll want to look at playing on other consoles.

You do gain some currency and unlockables from playing through the various modes of DNF Duel. You can unlock artwork, avatars for online, and some videos, but it's not a whole lot that's very interesting. I earned enough for nearly half of the unlockable artwork after one run at story mode and one run at arcade mode, so it won't give you much to unlock. It's a little something, but don't expect to have much to work towards.

DNF Duel excels at being over-the-top. With its huge moves and various turnabout mechanics, it makes each match feel like a wild spectacle where anyone can take the win in the end. It keeps you invested in each match, but at the same time, that chaos in each character starts to make things feel a little too chaotic for you to want to get a firm grip on it and do well at it. It's just a bit too wacky, which results in a fantastic game for some pick-up play, but not something I, personally, want to play long-term.

Specific to the Switch version, it plays at a fine pace, but its blurry characters can be hard on the eyes. That, and the lack of rollback netcode, make it the clearly inferior release out of all the platforms it's on. It's a solid release if you have no other choice, but if you DO have a choice, get it on anything but the Switch.

DNF Duel is available now on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.

Square Enix released a new crossover manga in English between Final Fantasy XIV and the mahjong manga Saki. Throughout its six chapters, this comicshows how Saki and her friends start playing the MMORPG and get used to its in-game mahjong. This manga collaboration first released in Japan in January 2021, but had not been officially translated until now.

Here's the announcement from the Final Fantasy XIV official Twitter account.

https://twitter.com/FF_XIV_EN/status/1648703065497939968?s=20

During the first few chapters, the members of the Kiyosumi High School mahjong club begin playing Final Fantasy XIV on the advice of the club president. This special prominently features elements such as getting used to the controls, learning about the game's many activities, and learning how to play the in-game mahjong minigame.

Saki follows the story of Saki Miyanaga, a high school girl who gradually discovers the fun of mahjong by joining the competitive scene at the invitation of a classmate. Both chapters 0 and 1 are free to read at Manga Up right now online on PC.

Final Fantasy XIV positioned itself as a platform for online multiplayer mahjong. As an example of the ongoing support in this area, Square Enix holds a mahjong tournament every year with special guests, such as Producer and Director Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida for the 2022 edition.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PC, PS4, and PS5. Players can unlock the in-game mahjong at level 15 in the Gold Saucer. The Saki & Final Fantasy XIV collaboration manga is currently available via Manga Up.

Rose and Camellia Switch port

The biggest slapfest of the Taisho era is nigh, as Playism has announced a Summer 2023 release for the Rose and Camellia Nintendo Switch port. This port will include the original Reiko campaign, as well as three new stories. You'll be able to play as other Tsubakikoji family members in these new scenarios. That means players will be slapping new characters in the game.

Indie World JP uploaded a trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of Rose and Camellia onto its Twitter account. There is a very retro and grainy filter over the voice-over. It also notes that this version of the game will have voice-overs as well. Each girl will say a pre-slap line or cry out in pain.

https://twitter.com/IndieWorldJP/status/1649012787077677056

Rose and Camellia was originally a 2008 Flash slapping game that you could play on your browser. In 2020, it appeared on mobile phones as an app. The story of Rose and Camellia follows Reiko Tsubakikoji, who is the widowed wife of the Tsubakikoji's eldest son. After his death, blood relatives of the family attempt to take her inheritance from her and she slaps them into submission.

The Rose and Camellia Nintendo Switch port (whose official title can translate to Rose and Camellia: Most Luxurious and Elegant Version) will come out in Japan in Summer 2023. There is no news on an English localization yet.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Matthew and A

Nintendo released new information about the combat abilities of Matthew and A, two of the main characters in the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC. Matthew is a Martial Artist that uses the Ouroboros Knuckle as his weapon of choice. Meanwhile, A is a Monado Fencer, and she can use her Monado to share Visions of the immediate future with the party.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648943974617591808

Matthew, the new protagonist in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC, can shower his enemies with a relentless barrage of blows. His Talent Art is Gigantic Beat, a downward thrusting ground punch that hits enemies in an area, and recharges his Arts cooldown by 50% on hit.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648944473764945921

A is a mysterious figure wielding a Monado and wearing Ontos' (also known as Alvis in Xenoblade Chronicles) Core Crystal as an earring. While her relationship to Alvis and the Trinity Processor is a mystery, her Talent Art allows her to share Visions of the future with the party, the same as Alvis did for Shulk. During the time of her Visions, her Talent Art changes to Vanishing End, a swift piercing attack that ignore enemy defenses.

A's Vanishing End Talent Art recharges normally by using role actions. However, she can also fully charge her Talent Art by using Light Field during Vision time. The number of Visions A can use are limited per encounter, as indicated by the blue charges above her Talent Art gauge.

Additionally, Nintendo also shared a video of the party in Future Redeemed walking somewhere on Aionios.

https://twitter.com/XenobladeJP/status/1648945143180050433

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed DLC will release with Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass on April 25, 2023. The base Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game is needed to play the expansion.
