Stardew Valley mod lets you build a whole farming empire

A new addition to the ever-growing list of Stardew Valley mods lets you expand the farming game into an industrial-scale farming empire sim. Stardew Valley lets you create the farm of your dreams, but if you've ever wanted to make your farm just that little bit bigger (or, well, quite a lot bigger) then you're in luck, thanks to this user-created update for the life game.

The Stardew Realty mod, by mod maker Prism 99 (who goes by klatuprism on Nexus Mods), takes the basics of previous Farm Expansion mods that allowed users to slightly extend the size of their plot of land. The mod adds a total of ten additional plots of land to the backwoods area found over to the left hand side of the map.

In the initial version of the mod, the land is made available from the get-go for free so players can test the expansion out and see how it works. Prism says that their long-term plan is to eventually release four content packs with additional expansions that will show up as a for sale sign on a notice board in Pelican Town. As plots show up, players will be able to invest in expanding their farming property.

FFXIV fan video pays tribute to iconic LOTR meme creator

A new FFXIV fan video pays tribute to one of the most iconic and beloved Lord of the Rings memes in Square Enix's MMORPG, after the meme's creator passed away in March. If you were on the Internet in the mid-2000s, you will almost certainly be very familiar with Erwin 'Tron' Beekveld's Tolkien-themed earworm "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard" - first uploaded as a video to the Albino Blacksheep website in August 2005.

The original video remixes several scenes from the second Lord of the Rings movie, The Two Towers, into an unreasonably catchy dance anthem. As the title suggests, it centres on Orlando Bloom's character Legolas shouting, "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard!" The two-minute video gained huge popularity online, reaching the point where LOTR director Peter Jackson uploaded a video of Bloom singing along to the track.

Now, FFXIV creators Plam & Switch have created a Final Fantasy XIV spin on the video, reimagining it as "They're taking the Lalas to Garlemald." The video features a full re-imagining of the song and its video made in the multiplayer game. As you might have guessed, it replaces the Hobbits with Final Fantasy's diminutive Lalafell, and Isengard with Imperial homeland Garlemald. You can watch it on their YouTube channel, or down below - though be warned that the footage includes clips from the climax of the base A Realm Reborn campaign, as well as some minor Endwalker snippets.

Strangereal

Most of Bandai Namco's Ace Combat series is set in its own entirely fictional setting called Strangereal. A place of multiple continents, a variety of nations and cultures, and many, many wars, its timeline isn't too easy to grasp from the outside. But don't worry, Nugget is here to help. In a new video series, the new puppet mascot for Ace Combat explains Strangereal - and thus Ace Combat - history.

First introduced on video in April 2022, Nugget is a little chick, named after the slang term for rookie fighter pilots. Now Nugget is the official YouTuber for the Ace Combat official channel. Now Nugget's first presentation focuses on making Ace Combat history and Strangereal a little more "real" to fans new and old.

The first subject of Nugget's "Strangereal World Setting Commentary" focuses on 2001's Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. English subtitles are available via closed captions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnTFCyMaPNU

Nugget introduces the series setting by framing it from the perspective of the latest entry, Ace Combat 7: Skies UnknownAC7 takes place in 2019 (of the game timeline), but AC04 is set in 2003-2005. Strangereal's modern history hinges on the arrival of the Ulysses Comet, an asteroid found to be on a collision course with Earth. To face the threat, many nations cooperated to build the superweapon Stonehenge, a massive railgun battery. Stonehenge destroyed many incoming comet fragments, but those that got through wrought havoc upon the continent of Usea. The chaos of the disaster caused refugee surges, economic crises, and eventually prompted a new war.

Ace Combat history calls Ace Combat 04's central conflict, "The Continental War". During the war, the nation of Erusea fought against ISAF, an international military coalition. The player character, "Mobius 1" becomes a hero pilot of the Continental War, beating back the Erusean forces and defeating the infamous Yellow Squadron. They also destroy Stonehenge. The Eruseans had captured the facility to use as a powerful anti-aircraft defense system.

Ace Combat 7 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Bandai Namco celebrated its 3rd birthday with Idolmaster tie-in content.

Corsair 5000x Pc Case Rgb Atx Best Cooling Performance FansChoosing the right PC case is critical to a successful build. Aside from looks, it needs to be large enough to house your components, it needs to be easy to work on, and most importantly, it needs to provide enough airflow. Plenty of glass cases look cool, but don't always meet these criteria. Newegg has a sale running right now that slashes the price of the Corsair iCUE 5000X from the MSRP of $214.99 down to just $109.99.      Steam Joy-Con support rounds out Nintendo controller lineup

A new Steam client beta update from Valve adds Steam Joy-Con support for the Nintendo Switch controllers, meaning that they are now officially supported as a way to play your PC games. This addition rounds out the list of supported Switch pads, which includes the Switch Pro controller and Nintendo's range of classic style controllers.

The Steam client beta update for August 5 introduces official support for the small, paired controllers which are the mainstay for the Nintendo Switch console. Much like with the Switch itself, you can use the controllers individually - where they will be treated as a mini-gamepad - or pair them together to enable the functionality of a full-size controller.

While the Switch Joy-Con may not be most people's optimal way to play, they do offer some rather useful functionality. For example, instead of a traditional cross-shaped directional pad on the left, the Joy-Con features four distinct buttons much like those of the "face buttons" typically found on the right side of a controller. These separated buttons can come in handy for games that require tight directional precision, especially in classic titles such as Tetris or Pac-Man where an accidental wrong directional input can spell disaster.

Giant LEGO Elden Ring build recreates the Walking Mausoleum

A giant fan-made LEGO Elden Ring build recreates the Walking Mausoleum living structure from the RPG game. While most players are still working on honing their in-game Elden Ring builds, one FromSoftware fan had a rather different type of build in mind. The incredible LEGO structure is based on the wandering mausoleums that lumber around the open-world game's vast plains.

Creator HoboSapient shared their creation to the Elden Ring subreddit, garnering huge attention and tens of thousands of upvotes from users wowed by the gargantuan construction. HoboSapient says that the structure is built from an estimated 5000 - 6000 individual LEGO pieces, and weighs around 30 pounds (that's about as much as the average three-year-old child).

The internal structure is made from LEGO Technic, the range frequently used for more intricate sets with complex mechanisms or structures. HoboSapient says that the resulting figure is "pretty solid," and that they put it together out of pieces gathered over a 20+ year period of collecting LEGO.

Diablo 3 season 26 end date and when season 27 should start

Blizzard has announced the Diablo 3 season 26 end date for late August, which also gives us a pretty clear idea of when we can expect Diablo 3 season 27 to begin. With some fans of the fantasy game series and multiple prominent Diablo community members deciding to quit Diablo Immortal in the wake of its microtransactions and events schedule, many of them are returning to Blizzard's previous RPG game ahead of the Diablo 3 season 27 release date.

The new seasonal update has players excited for it after PTR testing ran throughout July. The most prominent feature of season 27 is a new item called Angelic Crucibles. These can be used to 'sanctify' any of your equippable legendary items - a special process which automatically applies perfect ancient-level stats on the item's affixes, and also adds a unique class-specific power from a list of three options per class.

Among the highlights from the PTR have been the Barbarian's Hammer of the Ancients, which has proven incredible for both solo and group play. Necromancer's Death Nova has also proven very strong, as has the Monk's new Wave of Light sanctified power. Witch Doctor's Bogadile build has also been popular with its ability to deal vast damage in a coordinated group using the Mundunugu's Regalia set.

The Walking Dead Humble Bundle

Telltale Games' adaptation of the The Walking Dead is ten years old in 2022. In fact, the series is available despite the sudden end of Telltale itself in 2018. Skybound Games, the series' new owner, has gathered the whole series and more in a new The Walking Dead Humble Bundle on PC. Money spent on purchases can be split between the charities SpecialEffect and Covenant House. SpecialEffect helps people with disabilities enjoy video games (such as by providing specialized controllers). Covenant House helps homeless and trafficked young people.

Like other Humble-managed media bundles, The Walking Dead Humble Bundle comes in multiple price points, determining how much a buyer gets out of the bundle. The pricing remains at "pay what you want" to start, with the bottom tier unlocking the first two seasons of Telltale's The Walking Dead and the 400 Days DLC chapter. The first season focuses on Lee Everett, a resident of Georgia, who encounters a young girl, Clementine, as the zombie outbreak takes over. The second season focuses on Clementine as she tries to survive alone.

The second tier of the bundle unlocks three more items in addition to the first tier, entitling the buyer to six of the eight items in the bundle. The other three items are further chapters of Telltale's series: The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and The Walking Dead: Michonne. The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is the third season of the series, with a new focal character, Javier Garcia. Michonne is a miniseries focused on the titular character from the comic series, and shows what she did after she departed from Rick Grimes' group in issue #126, and why she eventually returned in issue #139. The Final Season puts players back in control of Clementine, giving them the chance to see her long journey through to its end.

Interestingly, buyers of the Walking Dead Humble Bundle can opt to pay for this second tier (which starts at $8.05 USD or higher) and get all the content of the Telltale series. The final tier of the bundle, which unlocks at $11 USD or higher), unlocks two games. The first is a VR-exclusive title, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. A VR-based survival RPG, Saints & Sinners puts players in control of a survivor in New Orleans. The second is The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series. This game includes all of the Telltale series (including the DLC and Michonne), remastered and collected as a single title. It contains graphical enhancements to the earlier seasons, as well as extras like developer commentary, a sound track, and updated UI. In essence, players without a VR headset who opt for the highest tier will end up buying Telltale's The Walking Dead series twice: once in their original form, and once as a remaster.

The Walking Dead Humble Bundle is available via Humble's website until August 17, 2022. The games are sold separately on various platforms. Telltale's series is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devicesSaints & Sinners requires a VR headset, and is available on PC, Oculus Quest, and PlayStation 4 (via PSVR).

Expedition Agartha

Expedition Agartha is entering early access soon. Published by Snail Games under its Wandering Wizard label, the game was developed by Matrioshka Games as a multiplayer-oriented "hardcore looter survival game". The early access launch date on PC (via Steam) is set for August 18, 2022.

Check out the Expedition Agartha early access launch trailer below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVgk_TvjAnk

Though still in active development, Expedition Agartha has a story premise to rope players in. Its setting is a mysterious island set on the fabled Lost Continent of Mu. There players will launch expeditions into Agartha, a mystical land in the center of the earth. They'll go exploring solo or in teams of three. Along the way they'll face hostile NPCs and environments in search of secrets and treasure. Then, they'll need to find their way to a departure point to get away safely with their loot. This is in contrast to battle royal-style titles like Apex Legends, which typically end a round once a team has won.

Expedition Agartha is inspired by other "extraction-style" survival games, such as Escape from Tarkov and GTFO. These games place players in an unforgiving environment and challenge them to get in and get out alive, adding a sense of risk and reward. Unlike its inspirations, though, Expedition Agartha is a medieval fantasy-style game, and its developers plan to use a first-person melee style of combat.

The early access period for the game is expected to last one to two years. The game will launch into early access with three playable maps, with five or more maps planned by full release. Each update will bring players closer to Agartha.

Expedition Agartha launches into early access on August 18, 2022 on PC.
