"How do I play with you?" That's the first thing my friend asked when I got him hooked on Marvel Snap. "You can't," I answered. But that won't be the case for long. The developers behind the mega hit mobile card game say the ability to battle against friends will arrive within the next two months.

Genshin Impact players have been inadvertently locking themselves out of the newest major story update, and they're not happy. "Getting quest blocked while doing an archon quest is the new cockblock," tweeted one player. One even stopped their gaming session after getting "c0ckblocked." Frankly, they're right.

Street Fighter 6 roster – every confirmed and leaked character

Excited to find out who made it onto the Street Fighter 6 roster? While the Street Fighter 6 release date is penciled in for 2023, Capcom has plenty of time to announce a few more surprises to the roster. Looking back to older games in the series, Street Fighter 4 launched with 25 characters, but the lacklustre Street Fighter 5 featured just 16 characters on day one. Capcom appears to be learning from its past mistakes, so we're hoping for a large roster this time around.

In a surprising turn of events, Capcom has announced every character joining the Street Fighter 6 roster ahead of the game's launch next year at TGS 2022.

Best Modern Warfare 2 MCPR-300 loadout

The best Modern Warfare 2 MCPR-300 loadout is for those who enjoy a life of anonymity; a secret existence punctuated only by a sharp snap and the death chat of an enemy who didn't know what hit them. With exceptional range and bullet velocity, this is easily one of the best guns in Modern Warfare 2, and it has the added bonus of being the first sniper rifle you unlock.

Bolt-action rifles occasionally have difficulty following up on missed shots, further exacerbated by a long reload time. Fortunately, the MCPR-300 is fitted with a magazine so reloading is instant. With the attachments below boosting bullet velocity, you'll find hitting your targets as easy as pie.

Overwatch 2 pros are currently duking it out in the Overwatch League playoffs - the culmination of six months of competitive play in the Blizzard multiplayer game. The finals have already adopted the first post-release round of Overwatch 2 nerfs set to land in the live game later in November, leaving some fans concerned about the speed of Overwatch 2 updates.      Street Fighter 6 release date speculation, leaks, and more

Want to learn more about the Street Fighter 6 release date? After a successful closed beta period back in October, the fighting game community cannot wait to get their hands on the full game. Street Fighter 5 was heavily criticised at launch for its lack of playable content outside of Versus mode and while this satisfied most high-level players, casual players found there was very little to keep them entertained.

Capcom has taken its time developing Street Fighter 6 to ensure they don't repeat the same mistakes again. It features a brand new single-player story mode which gives players a chance to explore Metro City as a custom fighter. The Street Fighter 6 release date isn't set to launch until next year at the earliest, but it's clear the game is in a good place at this point in development.

Best Modern Warfare 2 TAQ-M loadout

The best Modern Warfare 2 TAQ-M loadout hones in on the rifle's accuracy and range, letting the superb bolt-action marksman rifle's base damage and handling do the rest of the work. Thanks to its high damage, range, and one-shot-kill potential, the TAQ-M is undoubtedly one of the best Modern Warfare 2 guns right now.

While some of the best sniper rifles in the FPS game are solid and reliable favourites, bolt-action marksman rifles like the TAQ-M offer a lighter and faster alternative in smaller 6v6 multiplayer maps. Unlike large sniper rifles, the TAQ-M can be used while on the move and can even deal some considerable damage when firing from the hip.

Here is our best RPK loadout in Modern Warfare 2.

Best Modern Warfare 2 Signal 50 loadout

The best Modern Warfare 2 Signal 50 loadout is a precise, immense danger to life. Being the only sniper rifle in MW2 with a semi-automatic receiver, it puts the Signal 50 in a class of its own in the FPS game. This receiver lets you follow up on shots quicker than the bolt-action alternatives, allowing you to take on more enemies at once.

Outfitting the best MW2 Signal 50 loadout with the fastest ADS and sprint to fire speeds lets you be more aggressive, especially on the smaller multiplayer maps where long sight lines aren't always available. You'll notice that there are only four attachments to this best Signal 50 loadout, and that's because we want to keep the negatives to a minimum, with some muzzle and underbarrel additions taking more than they give.

Fancy taking a chance with the best Modern Warfare 2 TAQ-V loadout? Not to be confused with the TAQ-56 assault rifle, the TAQ-V is a battle rifle variant of the Scar and, boy, it sure packs a punch. Unfortunately, his mum (sensibly) decides against taking him and his brother out in the oncoming storm, so now he's got to face a day stuck inside his grandma's house instead. FUN. Turns out, though, that there are still plenty of memories to be made in this small, cluttered space. All you need is a little imagination.

I've been playing an awful lot of Overwatch 2 recently. As you'll know if you've played either of Blizzard's near-identical hero shooters, Overwatch 2 lets you queue up for a match as a particular hero role, which ensures balanced team compositions but also can mean a wait of several minutes before you get into a match. New Godzilla Movie

A new Godzilla movie will release on November 3, 2023. This information was shared through the official Godzilla Twitter account. However, details about the production are fairly scarce. What we do know is that Director Takashi Yamazaki will serve as both the writer and director on the upcoming film. Yamazaki's credits include the CGI Doraemon film, Stand by Me Doraemon, and the Parasyte adaptation. More information about the film will appear sometime in the future.

In other Godzilla related news, Studio Khara and TOHO teamed up to release a Godzilla and Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover in the form of a pachinko machine. The announcement trailer shows the EVA pilots going head to head with the iconic monster. King Ghidora was also shown in the footage. Additionally, the pachinko machine will also feature an entirely unique story, and include two new songs.

In January 2022, it was announced that another live action Godzilla adaptation would be appearing on Apple TV+. The adaptation will be handled by Legendary Entertainment. However, much like the new Godzilla film further details about the television show have yet to be announced. More information about the live action adaptation will appear in the future.

The new Godzilla movie will release on November 3, 2023.

Elden Ring official art book

With its release date closing in, Bandai Namco and From Software are giving Elden Ring fans a look at what they could get their hands on if they opt to pick up the Elden Ring Official Art Book. Announced in September, the book will release in two volumes on November 30, 2022 in Japan [Thanks, Famitsu!].

The art book will contain concept art and other pieces used in the development and marketing of Elden Ring. Both volumes will launch simultaneously. Between them, the Elden Ring Official Art Book will feature over 800 pieces of art from every stage of the game. There were so many pieces to include, the decision was made to split the release into two volumes released together rather than print a single larger book.

The first volume will contain art used to make the opening movie, as well as concepts for characters, armor, gear and landscapes. Its cover features a glimpse of the Erdtree. The second volume will focus on enemy designs, including the game's many boss characters. Its cover shows Queen Marika.

Buyers who pick up the set via retailer Ebten can also get the books as a special deluxe box set. The set comes with a box that holds both volumes. The box features a large-format illustration showing the battle between Malenia the Severed and General Radahn over Caelid. The deluxe pack also includes a high-resolution framed art piece showing Godfrey, the first Elden Lord.

The Elden Ring Official Art Book launches on November 30, 2022 in Japan. Each volume will cost 4,400 Yen each (about $32 USD) pre-tax. The Ebten Deluxe Edition wil cost 17,600 Yen (about $126 USD). Global release plans or publishers have not yet been announced.

Honkai Impact 3rd Palatinus Equinox Nibelungen Traumlied Outfit Teased

Durandal is about to get a new outfit in Honkai Impact 3rd, with Palatinus Equinox getting a Nibelungen Traumlied look. It is a 6.1 outfit that will not only change the clothes she is wearing, but add other effects. When equipped, there will also be different animations when she performs attacks. A HoYoVerse video went over the changes, showing the light and dark elements of it.

Here's the full video. It begins by showing how it looks in the Guardian and Knight versions. (Durandal has two forms she can switch between with Palatinus Equinox.) In the Guardian form, she'll wear a white outfit with her blue equipment. When she switches to Knight form, her and her horse Krishna get a new black look wit red and gold accents. Durandal also gets black horns on her head in that form. The description suggested that this "last Valkyrie" was reborn after Rhine Gold melted.

Palatinus Equinox's Nibelungen Traumlied isn't the only new outfit in Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update. It also added the Scorching Gravel Infinite Ouroboros outfit. That is one people can get without paying any extra money. Instead, someone can collect it by taking part in the Midnight Chronicle event.

Honkai Impact 3rd is immediately available for PC and mobile devices. People can now download the Windows client from Steam, Epic Games Store, or HoYoVerse directly.

Edwin Elden Ring Jacket

Japanese selvedge denim company Edwin is going to The Lands Between for some inspiration. It's making a denim Elden Ring jacket inspired by the art and characters from the hit game. The collaboration was first teased in September 2022 and confirmed in October 2022. Now the products themselves have been shown, along with their expected pricing and release window [Thanks Game*Spark!].

The Edwin x Elden Ring jacket is the most distinctive piece of the crossover. It's similar to a denim coat, with a large hood and a wide, triangular silhouette. It is modeled after the cloak worn by the character Melina. On the back is the design of the Golden Order. The jacket also has a patch with Melina on it, and the Edwin x Elden Ring collaboration in text.

[gallery ids="938932,938933,938934" link="file"]

Known as the Kindling Maiden, Melina is one of the first characters the Tarnished meets upon beginning the game. She forms an alliance with the maidenless player, unlocking the power of runes in exchange for an escort to the foot of the Erdtree.

Another piece in the Edwin x Elden Ring jacket collaboration is a bit more generic in form: A dark denim shirt. The shirt is emblazoned with the Golden Order symbol on the back, and a patch showing an image of Queen Marika and the Erdtree.

[gallery ids="938936,938937,938938" link="file"]

Both items in the Edwin x Elden Ring jacket collaboration will go on sale in Japan on November 15, 2022. They can be purchased from this site, which serves Japan as well as the US, EU, UK, China, and Hong Kong. The denim jacket will cost 21,780 Yen (about $148 USD) and the shirt costs 10,780 Yen (about $73 USD).

USJ Sadako Tour

Universal Studios Japan is inviting guests to discover "The Seven Wonders of Sadako." A new promotion tied into the Ring franchise and its central attraction Sadako Yamamura will bring guests to the park during nighttime hours for a unique horror experience. Called the Sadako ~ The Forbidden Online Park Tour ~, the USJ Sadako Tour event kicks off in Japan on November 25, 2022, running through December 5, 2022.

One thing to note about the USJ Sadako Tour is that it's actually an online event. Participants join via their smartphone or PC rather than physically visit Universal Studios Japan.

Check out a teaser trailer for Sadako ~ The Forbidden Online Park Tour ~ below.

The tour is best seen as a combination of a livestream and group video call, where two to four participants experience the tour together (the system can support up to eight people, though). Participants join the Sadako tour via a livestreaming platform called Thumva. Once in a session, they can chat with each other and see each other on stream at the same time as the actual performance. The event involves active participation, so the participants will solve puzzles or have some agency in the performance, like if an escape room attraction were reformatted as an online event. Participants who use the LINE instant messaging app can also receive messages, clues, and other tips to enhance the experience.

The premise of the Universal Studios Japan Sadako Tour is that participants are visiting the park at night to uncover "The Seven Wonders of Sadako", and then fall prey to the ghost's unique video-based curse. With a time limit counting down the minutes before they die horribly, the guests must put their heads together and survive the terror.

The USJ Sadako Tours begin on November 25, 2022 and run through December 4, 2022 in Japan. Tickets cost 2,500 Yen (about $17 USD) per person.

FFVII Barret Wallace Gatling Gun arm

Square Enix shared information through the official FFVII Twitter account how Barret Wallace's gatling gun arm functions and works. The post actually goes into a fair amount of detail, revealing that Barret takes care in upkeeping his signature weapon. Additionally, it noted that its construction is accurately constructed just like a standard gatling gun. Also, parts from the gun can be dismantled, which makes sense given how players can equip different ones throughout Final Fantasy VII and its subsequent remake.

You can read our translation of Square Enix's FFVII Twitter post about Barret's gatling gun arm below:

The gatling gun on Barret's arm is a reproduction of the real thing, this includes the internal mechanisms and how ammunition is inserted. It's even motor powered! Additionally, each part of the gatling gun can be separately dismantled. After every mission, Barret makes sure to take care of his weapon and do some home repairs.

This isn't the first time Square Enix has shared design details from Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Previously, the developer took to Twitter to share some details about one of Aerith's dresses that could appear in Chapter 8.

Final Fantasy VII released on the PlayStation in 1997. Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PlayStation 4, while FFVII Remake Intergrade is out on the PlayStation 5 and PC.

evangelion stage play kabukicho impact

A stage play based on Neon Genesis Evangelion will appear from April 28, 2022 as part of the Evangelion Kabukicho Impact. The stage play will be one of the many Evangelion events that will be occurring around that time in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Other events include a special concert and a limited-time menu. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Tokyu Recreation's Tokyu Kabukicho Tower will open up on April 14, 2023, with the hotel opening on May 19, 2022. It will be a building that combines entertainment (restaurants, movie theaters, etc.) with hospitality. Since the concept of the building is to "push what you like to the limits," it has collaborated with Neon Genesis Evangelion. Not only is Evangelion highly popular worldwide, but it also has a connection to Tokyu Milano. Tokyu Milano was the predecessor to Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, and it aired basically all of the Neon Genesis Evangelion movies until it closed down.

The working title for the stage play is Stage: Evangelion Beyond. Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is the choreographer for it. Cherkaoui previously choreographed ballets for Les Ballets de Monte Carlo and the Bavarian State Opera. The movie theater will also air Evangelion movies. Meanwhile, Hotel Groove Shinjuku will have Evangelion-themed rooms and foods. Lastly, at Zepp Shinjuku, Yoko Takahashi will perform a live concert. Takahashi is the singer of A Cruel Angel's Thesis, which was the opening of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The Evangelion stage play will debut on April 28, 2023 as part of Evangelion Kabukicho Impact at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Tokyu Kabukicho Tower will be in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo, Japan.

In something of a surprise announcement, Square Enix revealed that Star Ocean: The Divine Force can now be streamed through NVIDIA GeForce. This means that users with the appropriate hardware can now stream Star Ocean: The Divine Force on any supported device. NVIDIA GeForce is a cloud gaming service that allows consumers to stream their games freely to a multitude of devices like smart TVs and Android devices.

Star Ocean The Divine Force joins the NVIDIA GeForce service alongside games like Genshin Impact, Cyberpunk 2077, and Control. However, the service does have varying subscription tiers. This will determine what range of service will be available.

As the latest entry in the series, Star Ocean: The Divine Force features a cast of new characters set on exploring another corner of a distant galaxy. The narrative is told from the perspectives of dual protagonists Princess Laeticia and Ray. Genshin Impact SMAA Anti-Aliasing Will Return on PCs

Following its removal with the 3.2 patch, HoYoVerse confirmed subpixel morphological anti-aliasing (SMAA) will return for the PC version of the game. When the update went live on November 2, 2022, people playing on computers found it was removed as an anti-aliasing option. However, the update summary in game reported this is a "known issue" and that HoYoVerse will restore it in the future. There's no exact date for its return yet.

As a reminder, all of the options involve anti-aliasing options that could make the game look better. For example, enabling one might result in smoother appearances. Prior to update 3.2, people playing Genshin Impact on a PC could go with SMAA, temporal anti-aliasing (TAA), or none. After the patch, only AMD Fidelity Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2) and none could be selected. Both SMAA and TAA were gone.

Here's the exact quote from the HoYoVerse update summary people can see under the "known issues" section when looking in-game.

In order to accommodate the configuration needs of different Travelers, we will restore the PC version's SMAA anti-aliasing option in a later update. After the update, the anti-aliasing options of the PC version will be adjusted to: "None," "FSR 2," and "SMAA." Please stay tuned for future notices.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. 3.2 is live now and adds the Shouki no Kami Weekly Boss and Nahida.

New Samurai Maiden Character Trailer Stars Iyo

D3 Publisher shared a new Samurai Maiden character trailer focusing on Iyo, kicking off a line of videos focusing on the cast. Iyo is a Nobunago ninja. She's dedicated to Tsumugi's cause and safety. In the video, she's shown throwing kunai, tossing bombs, and sharing a moment with Tsumugi so she can unleash an incredible attack.

Here's the trailer showing off Iyo in Samurai Maiden. It also offers an opportunity to hear Miku Ito's performance as the character. Ito also played Lorraine Lucksaw in The Diofield Chronicle and Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets. She'll be Akina Kubo in Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible's anime adaptation too.

Other trailers tended to focus on either Tsumugi, the heroine teleported into the past and declared the Priestess of Harmony, or general gameplay. For example, the 2022 Tokyo Game Show video ended up going over the time period in which the game is set. While it did show gameplay, it also discussed other historical elements.

However, one other recent trailer discussed another element of the game: DLC. It showed that the Deluxe Edition will also offer Tsumugi's Luminous Eliminator weapon, her Sengoku Samurai Girl costume, the Victory Swimsuit character costumes, and the Matching Uniform costumes for the cast.

Samurai Maiden will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 on December 1, 2022 in Japan and on December 8, 2022 worldwide. The PC version will show up on Steam worldwide on December 8, 2022.

Silent Hill 3 Princess Heart Transform Costume Joins Dead by Daylight

A memorable part of Silent Hill 3 history is now part of Dead by Daylight, as Princess Heart is now available in-game. This is a new costume for the Survivors Cheryl Mason and Feng Min. It is described as a Very Rare outfit for each character. People can purchase it from the in-game storefront for them.

For Cheryl, it is described as Princess Heart as a reference to her "alter ego" in Silent Hill 3. With Feng Min, her version of the outfit is referred to as "Princess Heart Cosplay."

Here's the full trailer showing the outfit off. It begins with a transformation sequence, like one from Sailor Moon before showing the characters wearing it in-game.

In Silent Hill 3, people could earn the Transform Costume stick to become Princess Heart. This was considered an alternate costume. To get it, you would need to enter the "PrincessHeart" code. (The option to do so would open up after beating the game once.)

As a reminder, the Silent Hill Chapter is an add-on available for the game. It gives people the Midwich Elementary School map, The Executioner (Pyramid Head) Killer, and Silent Hill 3's Cheryl Mason as a Survivor.

Dead by Daylight is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia, and its Silent Hill Chapter costs $6.99. Other crossovers involved Resident Evil and Attack on Titan.

Kratos in combat in God of War Ragnarok

It's 6:30 on a Saturday morning, and I am doing something I haven't done in years. At the age of 41, sleep is often more exciting than any new piece of media, but I hurried from my bed for a simple reason: I want to play a video game. I usually make better choices than this and will often ignore the desire to live like a younger version of myself to appease the needs of the current version. But, to put it bluntly, God of War Ragnarok has ruined that illusion of self-control. I am getting up too early and staying up too late. I am sorely tempted to put a few extra meetings in my calendar this week to buy more time for the adventures of Grumpy Dad and Boy, as I intend to start a second playthrough the moment this review is complete.

Like many others, I have been a fan of God of War since the first installment on PlayStation 2. My love for the series grew with each new title, and I made sure I snapped up the PSP games to get my fill of Kratos' special brand of badassery on the go. When the series underwent a total reboot with 2018's God of War, I was a little nervous about it. When I sat down with the game, all that washed away, and I now consider the title to be one of my favorite PlayStation games of all time. I tell you this so that when I say Ragnarok builds upon that foundation, I do so as a compliment. God of War Ragnarok is everything I loved about the reboot, with even more polish and ambition.

With years come wisdom, and with wisdom come both solace and fear.

God of War Ragnarok opens with the same subtle storytelling that made the reboot such a wonderful experience. Kratos and Atreus are a little older now, living at their house and going about their lives. They seem happy. While peace is not a constant, as their enemies still hunt them, they do not actively seek out conflict. Atreus is shown to be a capable hunter; the boy who failed to bring down his first deer is long gone, replaced by a young man coming into his own. Kratos' quick grunts and taciturn nature are now shown in a different light, as his grumbles and gruffness appear to have developed into an easy shorthand between the two. Where a grunt used to mean dismissal, it now implies agreement. An easy physical closeness also developed between the two; something fans watched slowly unfolding in the previous game.

Before, Kratos was shown as distant from Atreus, both of them slowly floating in different directions after the death of Faye, Atreus' mother. Kratos lacked the skills to bridge the gap between them, and it was only through an adventure that Faye orchestrated and a few near-death experiences that he learned to overcome his fears and communicate with his son. This bed of shared experienced has allowed a better relationship to blossom, and Kratos is attempting to let Atreus take the lead as he becomes a man.

Despite this, there is still cause for tension. Atreus is obsessed with the prophecy that revealed him to be Loki. With Baldur dead, Fimbulwinter here, and Ragnarok approaching, Kratos wishes to keep his son safe. Kratos is aware that the world is dangerous and filled with terrors and that he is destined to die, so his aim is to exist outside all the god-fueled rage and intrigue that has followed him his entire life. More than that, he wants to be a good father, and in order to do so, he commits to allowing his son to become his own person. Whether he believes the prophecy at the center of Atreus' obsession doesn't matter. He joins his son on an adventure to find someone who can stand up to Odin. He wishes to spend more time with his son and teach him lessons, as his chance to do so may be growing short.

Where Kratos feels trapped is that he wants his son to feel capable and strong, but to be able to do so without the need for war. In his own heart, Kratos realizes that the only thing that has ever truly died in his life is love. First, it was Lysandra and Calliope, his first wife and daughter, sacrificed on the altar of his rage when he was tricked by the gods. Next it was Faye, who fought her own battle against the wrongs of the world and who set Kratos on the path to being a better person. But, as much as he loved them all, their deaths were final. While he seems to be endlessly haunted by his old enemies, his old loves can never seem to comfort him. Kratos wishes more than anything to avoid this fate for Atreus. Whether or not a prophecy declares Atreus the victor, Kratos knows the price that must be paid for those wins, and he would do what he can to steer his son toward a better future.

The game's overall themes continue to be guilt, loss, and forgiveness. The matured Kratos also plays an extra role this time as a confidant to others who are dealing with their own fear, rage, or grief. He is well suited to the task, his attempts to connect with his own emotions and with those of his son priming him to develop deeper connections with others. These newly established relationships are built upon and threatened with a deft hand by the game's writers. Best of all are moments of joy, family, fun, and friendship that develop throughout the game. With some truly stunning voice-acting performances at play, all the characters become rich and deep, worth rooting for or railing against as you see fit. In Ragnarok, Kratos can still be the terrifying god-killer we all know, but he is also capable of unprompted kindness when someone needs it.

A man of means and he means to hurt you.

As much as Kratos wishes to avoid war, he is still up for a good fight, and you will be fighting a lot as you make your way through the 50-or-so hours of the God of War Ragnarok campaign. Combat is almost surgical, yet perfectly balanced between the folks who will want to hack and slash their way through the game and the defter dancers who wish to flit from enemy to enemy in a ballet of violence. No matter your skill level, this is a game you will be able to enjoy.

You begin the campaign armed with your Blades of Chaos and the Leviathan Axe. Chopping through enemies will earn you experience, and this experience can be spent on a range of skills and ability upgrades that make you even better at eviscerating enemies. Both weapons can equip Runes that allow for new abilities, while a number of armor pieces form the basis of your stats. Everything can be tweaked in small, but satisfying, ways until the Kratos and Atreus that you will play as will be very much your own. It is a testament to the designers that when traveling together, father and son form a skilled team of fighters, playing off each other in fun ways that add further depth to combat. And yet, should you find yourself exploring the world alone, the combat doesn't feel lacking.

As much fun as simply doing damage is, an important aspect of combat in God of War Ragnarok is Stun. This is a status effect you can build up on enemies, allowing you to stop them in their tracks and opening up a chance to inflict huge damage on them. You also gain access to a range of weapon-dependant finishers, brutal displays of destruction that can earn disturbed utterances from your companions. There is a range of elemental interactions between your own weapons and those of companions that can really dish out the damage, adding a further layer to combat as well.

Best of all, combat is used to build relationships between the characters. Some of the people you will meet will shy away from the use of force, while others will revel in it. All the while, dialogue will play out that helps to make the characters feel deep and well-constructed. For higher-level players, chaining moves and abilities together will feel intense. At more challenging difficulty levels, the game is as demanding and enjoyable as you could hope for. My favorite trick is throwing the axe at short range, bouncing it off an enemy's face, landing quick punches and strikes from other weapons, then recalling the axe before it can hit the ground for a killing blow.

When not burying an axe ins something, the two main ways that players will interact with the world of God of War Ragnarok is via environmental traversal and puzzle solving. The design of both aspects of the game are deeply intertwined. You often need to find new vantage points, items, or areas to make your way forward in the game. Some of these environmental puzzles were surprisingly challenging and lots of fun to solve. The different realms you visit are also all distinct and wonderfully designed, although somewhat familiar to fans of the 2018 game. This is actually a good thing, as the fact that you have already visited the Realms that make up the game means traveling through them can now be simplified. There are surprises in store, however, as the endless politics of the gods means not everything is at it was when Kratos and Atreus last visited.

A saga worth telling.

Santa Monica Studio is definitely taking advantage of all the power the PlayStation 5 has to offer with God of War Ragnarok, and the game looks absolutely stunning. The lighting, rich sky boxes, and incredible level detail all make the game a joy to watch. Much like the 2018 game, Ragnarok offers some beautiful sights to drink in as you explore the world and the story, but the tiny details to be found on each character are just as worthy of your attention.

What truly resonated with me about God of War Ragnarok was just how good a job it does of drawing me into the stories of the main characters. At this point in my life, my primary fears revolve around the loss of loved ones and the idea of somehow letting down the people that rely on me. Ragnarok manages to deal with these heavy themes while using the opportunity provided by the previous games' world-building to find even more room for character development. It explores the delicate and tense spaces that exist between family members and friends who share similar fears, but do not wish to burden each other by expressing them. Even more interestingly, it does this in an engaging fashion while providing players with a terrifically designed combat system, deep world design, and stunning acting by the entire cast.

God of War Ragnarok is as slick and beautifully crafted a game as you will play this generation, and my experience with it has been delightfully bug-free. If you have been waiting through the months since Elden Ring for your next must-play game, then this is it. In 2018 Santa Monica Studio reinvented the way they make God of War games, but with Ragnarok, they may have just perfected it.

God of War Ragnarok will come to the PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022.

Fire Emblem Engage Weapon Triangle Weakness Chart Shared

The weapon triangle is a staple for Fire Emblem games, and now Nintendo shared details about the Fire Emblem Engage weakness chart. It took to Twitter to confirm which weapons are strong or weak against others. It also explained that taking advantage of that knowledge will let allies or enemies "break" each other.

First, here's the tweet going over the Fire Emblem Engage weakness chart, with the classic weapon triangle appearing on the left-side. As usual, swords best axes, axes are strong against lances, and lances will beat swords. On the right side is a second chart. It notes that special artes a character might know will be strong against an opponent who is using a bow, throwing knife, or tome to attack.

As for breaking, that's a side effect of taking advantage of weaknesses. In addition to dealing damage, a "break" can be triggered. When this happens, an enemy can't counter attack even if their speed would normally have allowed them to follow-up your attack. Likewise, if one of your allies is hit by an attack strong against them, they'll lose the ability to counter.

Fire Emblem Engage will come to the Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.

Genshin Impact Shouki no Kami Scaramouche Weekly Boss Detailed

When the 3.2 update arrived in Genshin Impact, it also finished the Sumeru Archon Quest series in Act V and introduced the Weekly Boss Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal. Now HoYoVerse offered additional details about each stage of the fight. It goes over what someone might need to do to make this Trounce Domain experience easier.

Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for the Genshin Impact Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal Weekly Boss Trounce Domain below.

First, to access the Genshin Impact Shouki no Kami fight and add it to your Weekly Boss Trounce Domain options, you must complete the Archon Quest Chapter 3 Act 5 quest "Where the Boat of Consciousness Lies." This means you must be at Adventure Rank 35 and caught up with the Sumeru questline.

Like other Weekly Bosses, there are two phases to Shouki no Kami. In each case, a Neo Akasha Terminal is around to aid the player. The first stage involves multi-element AOE attacks. In addition to attacking, someone could charge the Neo Akasha Terminal with the Energy Blocks that appear to remove negative effects from the boss' attack, possibly create a regen effect, or stun him. These are triggered by stepping on the Elemental Matrices circles that appear on the ground. So stepping on two of the Electro ones would stun the boss.

The second part of this Genshin Impact Trounce Domain involves Shouki no Kami putting up a shield and using a summoning a Nirvana Engine for a Setsuna Shoumetsu attack. Again, getting Energy Blocks, attacking minions, or attacking the boss will chargethe Neo Akasha Terminal so you can attack and destroy the shield. Once that drops, the boss will prepare the large-scale attack. Attacking the Nirvana Engine will let you charge the Neo Akasha Terminal, so you can stop the assault, stun the boss, and then get up closer to it to deal damage.

Shouki no Kami can be fought once each week for rewards. There are level 60, 70, 80, and 90 versions of it available. The unique talent level-up materials you can get from him are Daka's Bell, Mirror of Mushin, and Puppet Strings. You can also earn Ascension Gems and Artifact Set pieces from lines like Gladiator's Finale and Wanderer's Troupe.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. People can also face the Dendro Hypostasis now that patch 3.2 is here.

Yooka-Laylee Banjo-Kazooie Mushroom MarshIt does not come as a secret that developer Playtonic Games intended its 2017 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee to serve as a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie duology on the Nintendo 64. If Jess can cross some obstacle, then you'll just press the "use" key to cross it.   The Chant — Hints and beginner's guide Navigating the world of The Chant Two particular things you may want to be on the lookout for: open windows and cracks in the rocks/walls/between two stacks of crates. Jess can vault through the former and shimmy through the latter, but they can be easy to miss sometimes. I have it on good authority that Andrew got lost once by missing a climbab...
