The idea is to get you all excited about next…

Yesterday, Xbox's Game Pass Twitter teased that it was going to get orange for the week. We were as disappointed as anyone to learn that this wasn't a dream team PCGN-plus-Game Pass crossover, I guess anime is the next best thing. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members are getting a free 75 day trial to Crunchyroll. A perfect reciprocation for the time Crunchroll gave out free Game Pass.
Game Pass Ultimate is the $14.99 USD version of the service, which includes both PC and console games, Gold membership on Xbox Live, and access to EA Play. It also includes an array of 'perks', which include things like bonus content in games and free subscriptions to services like Disney+ and Spotify.
Now those perks include a 75 day trial for Crunchyroll's premium mega fan plan, which includes the day one simulcasts and ad-free streaming of normal premium, plus offline viewing and access to four concurrent streams. Like most other Game Pass perks relating to third-party subscriptions, however, this is open only to new members.

The details so far have focused on ETS2, which is getting a new set of viewpoints and extra special transport routes to help fill out previously-released DLC.
Eight new routes for the special transport DLC will be added, bringing the more challenging loads to additional expansion areas. The new routes include Daugavpils to Rezekne, Soria to Teruel, Galati to Iasi, Cagliari to Sassari, Gothenburg to Helsinborg, Brest to Rennes, Bremen to Travemunde, and Warszawa to Katowice. Each route will feature multiple missions.
Near the end of October, the devs also revealed that a host of new viewpoints will be added to ETS2 as of patch 1.43. These cinematic bits were added with the Iberia expansion earlier this year, and 1.43 will introduce 35 more viewpoints across older ETS2 locations, including Cernavodă Bridge, Viaduct Poiana Teiului, the Steelworks of Pernik, and Civaux Nuclear Powerplant.

The special ridden, as they're called this time around, show up too frequently - even more often than developer Turtle Rock had intended, as it turns out. Back 4 Blood's latest patch should help correct that, thank goodness.
As Jordan points out in our Back 4 Blood review, special 'mini-boss' ridden show up right alongside the standard trash mob zombies who pack each of Back 4 Blood's lengthy levels. Particularly on higher difficulty levels, they can get overwhelming in the back half of the campaign, and Turtle Rock says it's identified a bug that was causing them to spawn in too frequently.
"We found an issue where specials would frequently duplicate their spawn cards, compounding as players progressed through levels," the studio writes in the latest update. "This would often result in an unfair among of specials overwhelming cleaner teams. In future patches, we are going to continue to dig into spawning issues to help further smooth out the experience."

You're no longer simply either a crewmember or imposter: now you can be assigned roles like scientist and engineer as well.
The video below features a cameo by Kevin the Fortnite Cube, and it provides a brief rundown of everything new in the patch - which, incidentally, you can download right now. Each new role has special abilities: Scientists can access crew vitals at any time, the engineer can use vents, while the shapeshifter can disguise themselves as other crewmembers. Ghosts now get the guardian angel role upon death, which allows them to protect surviving crewmembers from alien attacks.
The update also introduces an item shop and progression path. As you play Among Us, you'll earn beans, XP, and pods for completing daily challenges and just doing normal Among Us things, such as spacing your fellow players when they're acting sus. You can buy items, bundles, and new Cosmicubes with beans, or with stars purchased for real money.
Forza Horizon 5 is, er, driving players wild, it seems. According to the in-game leaderboards, the new racing game reached 800,000 players shortly after early access began, and now that it's officially out, that number has reached three million. And enough of those players have bought the game on Steam to bring it into the top ten of Valve's platform.
Forza Horizon 5's hall of fame leaderboard, which tracks every player who has logged into the game, reached the three million mark earlier today, as Stallion notes on Twitter, and that number is continuing to rise. That'll include everyone who's bought the game or logged in via Game Pass. We already know that nearly a million people picked up the $99 / £85 Premium Edition to get in during early access.
The Steam version, which is only available as a standalone purchase, has reached 68,743 concurrent players, as SteamDB shows, which currently makes it the tenth-biggest game on the platform, just behind GTA 5. Remember, that's concurrent Steam players. Over three million people have logged into Forza Horizon 5 across platforms since early access began. Nearly 70k are playing on Steam this very second.

The developer has updated the support section of its website to spell out when the remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas will be going live in your time zone.
The GTA: Trilogy release time is 7am PST / 10am EST / 3pm GMT on November 11, 2021. Rockstar confirms that this will be the same across all platforms and that it's aware of an issue on the PlayStation Store that's leading some people to see an inaccurate launch time.
While GTA: Trilogy preloads are already live for those who have purchased through the Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, or PlayStation Store, PC players will have to wait a while longer. Rockstar has confirmed that you won't be able to download the GTA: Trilogy remasters until launch day. If you do pre-order the game through the Rockstar launcher, though, you'll get $10 off any product priced at $15 or more. Keep in mind the discount expires on January 16, 2022.
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, perhaps the most inventive DLC in the Borderlands series, is now available as a standalone adventure, and better yet, it's a free game on the Epic Store until November 16. The 2013 DLC is also available on Steam, and it introduces the central conceit of Wonderlands: Tiny Tina as the game master in a Borderlands-flavoured spin on Dungeons & Dragons.
In Assault on Dragon Keep, Tina gets some friends together for a game of 'Bunkers and Badasses,' a tabletop RPG game that players then become fully immersed within. Since it's Tina calling the shots, the world changes as she tells the unfolding story. Tina adds characters and changes the appearance of places while you're moving through them, making the adventure a highly unpredictable one.
It was a surprising and delightful departure from the main story of Borderlands 2 when the DLC launched, and now it serves as the prelude to the upcoming Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which is due out in March 2022. Gearbox says it's added some new loot and cosmetics to earn in this version of Assault on Dragon Keep, but we're not sure whether you can import any existing Borderlands 2 characters into this standalone release, which is officially titled Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure.
Around nine months ago, a Dark Souls fan released a mod overhauling the original game's multiplayer while adding some maps, modes, and powerups from Halo. Not content to leave it there, Inferno Plus has spent six months creating an update that introduces Halo's array of weaponry.
The modder explains that he had to add 100 new custom animations to the game so players could hold each weapon correctly as each one of Halo's weapons has a different grip or is held in a unique position. Inferno Plus also spent time creating a new weapon category for the mod so he didn't have to rely on model swapping the crossbow. Don't worry, your Needler needles will pop after being stuck in the ground for a bit as 150 visual effects have also been created or recreated for the project.
The mod isn't all about guns, though, and features oodles of improvements to the original file. You're now getting 13 maps instead of three, new items like the Squirrel Ring that allows you to jump further, and a spell that sends you vaulting across the map.

It has been a long damn year, so I'd forgotten that people were making a grim Soulslike video game based on Pinocchio. Oh, but they are! And you can see that in the first gameplay trailer for Lies Of P. Some big Bloodborne vibes mixed with a bit of Sekiro, within an edgy murderworld based on the old story. As if anything could be scary than the bit in the Disney version where the kids get turned into donkeys. But come, watch the trailer.
It is a truth universally acknowledged (like the status of single men in possession of large fortunes viz. wanting wives) that moving house is one of the worst things to undertake in adult life. And you have to undertake it several times! The packing, the unpacking, the stuffing of old newspaper in gaps between fragile plates: it's all hell. And comes with the creeping realisation that your life has as much meaning as can be physically stuffed into a few cardboard boxes.
An extra special high-five, then, to Unpacking, which not only makes this stressful event a delightful puzzle, but also demonstrates that your life and things actually have incredible meaning.
