koei tecmo valentine's

Koei Tecmo put out an announcement about how it will not accept Valentine's Day and White Day gifts this year either. As per usual, it cites safety concerns and difficulties handling them as reasons for this restriction.

The statement opens with Koei Tecmo thanking fans for how they usually send gifts to the staff or characters who appear in the games. However, likely due to the sheer number of gifts they would receive for special holidays, it will not be accepting any Valentine's Day or White Day gifts. As mentioned earlier, this is for safety concerns and difficulties with processing them. For the latter, they would have to have someone or a group of people handling or organizing them, which would take away time from their everyday duties.

Last year, Koei Tecmo put out the same reminder. It used to accept gifts for characters in the past until 2021. That was when lockdowns occurred, and the COVID-19 pandemic caused Koei Tecmo (as well as many other companies) to place restrictions on things it allowed fans or events it would hold. Since 2021, Koei Tecmo has not yet once lifted this ban.

It's unclear if Koei Tecmo will accept Valentine's Day and White Day gifts in 2027.

Digimon Real Data Collection Tyrannomon figure by Plex

Plex has revealed that it will release a new Digimon Real Data Collection figure featuring Tyrannomon in May 2026. The company has opened pre-orders for the figure on the Japanese Premium Bandai website. [Thanks, Inside Games!]

The Digimon Real Data Collection figures will depict full 3D representations of Digimon creatures based on their official artwork, which also includes faithful reproductions of the manga-like shadow lines. This Tyrannomon figure will be the first one in the line. It will be available in Japan with a tax-inclusive price tag of ¥15,400 (~$100).

This figure will have an approximate height and width of 16 cm (~6.29 inches). It will also be around 17 cm (~6.69 inches) long.

Here are the sample images showing the Tyrannomon figure from different angles:

Tyrannomon is a Champion-level Digimon inspired by the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which also has Fire Breath as its signature attack. It has a Data attribute, which makes it strong to Vaccine types but weak to Virus types. This Digimon also appears frequently in the franchise's video games, such as Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

The Digimon Real Data Collection figure of Tyrannomon will be available in May 2026. Premium Bandai will close the pre-order window for this figure on March 2, 2026.

Welcome
The tech world never stands still, but sometimes in order to go forwards you have to make some tough decisions.

Take Tesla – which this week announced that it was ending production of the Model S and Model X in order to focus on AI and robots. The company also made some eye-opening claims about its newest robot, the Optimus 3 – although we’re not convinced that, as Tesla claims, you could “easily” mistake it for a person

Or there’s Microsoft, which admitted that “we need to improve Windows”, and that it intends to make that a major focus of its work in 2026. Or even Wordle – which will start repeating answers from next week in what may be the biggest change in the game’s history.

None of these changes will be easy, and in some cases they may draw large amounts of criticism – although I doubt too many people will complain about Windows improvements. But, if successful, they could open up a bright new future for each brand.

Netflix is another company that’s received its fair share of complaints in recent years, and based on the reactions to its Skyscraper Live event, that doesn’t look like changing in 2026. I can’t see it shifting focus to making robots instead – but maybe it could put a bit of focus on improving its sports commentary?

But let’s not end on a negative note. Scroll down and you’ll find our top tips to improve your iPhone experience, our suggestions for what to watch this weekend, and much, much more.

Enjoy!
