A new and free update for The Sims 4, EA's uber-popular life sim, has added cosmetic options to the game that let you give your Sims vitiligo skin patches and patterns. To help celebrate this awesome addition, EA has brought in the world-famous model Winnie Harlow.
Free-to-play shooter Halo Infinite just got a long, long overdue update to one of its more troubled modes: Big Team Battle. Featuring 24 players at once, Infinite's large-scale playlist was always beleaguered by the fact that it had too few maps. Any session spent in large brawls would inevitably orbit the same…
It's Valentine's Day, which means love is in the air. Maybe you have someone to squeeze, or maybe you're holding on to an unrequested crush. And to be clear, we're talking about video game characters. Because let's be honest, for some of us who have been playing video games since we were kids, game characters helped…
Update: 2/14/24, 3:30 p.m.:Last week's demo for the hotly anticipated RPG Final Fantasy VII Rebirth hit digital shelves and although public perception remains positive, there has been some concern over the visuals, specifically when using the game's high frame rate "Performance" mode. That's hopefully going to change…
The start of February brought a short list of new games to PlayStation Plus, and while it did have some underrated gems, it was lacking big hitters. The subscription service is rectifying that in a big way as it approaches the end of February by adding a slew of new hugely popular titles for subscribers. It's an…
Sony announced its third-quarter earnings on February 14, and they weren't exactly full of glad tidings for PlayStation fans. For starters, the company revealed it doesn't plan to release any new titles in its major franchises for the remainder of 2024. Sony execs also said that its current-gen hardware, the PlayStatio…

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best sci-fi games around, especially now that most of its bugs have been stomped out and several of its systems have been overhauled alongside the Phantom Liberty expansion's launch. Beyond the neon-lit action sequences, it tells a genuinely moving story about the inevitability of death, the meaning of a life well lived, and coping with alienation in a technologically advanced society. The only problem is that, unlike creator CD Projekt's prior work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it doesn't have a card game built into it to help distract players between missions. Luckily, Into the Grid, a Steam game that combines cyberpunk aesthetics with Slay the Spire style deckbuilding, is here to fill that gap.
Diablo 4 launched with plenty of lofty expectations last year. It turned out to be a solid if unsurprising sequel, elevated throughout its single-player campaign by weighty, gory combat and an appropriately gloomy atmosphere that made exploring its Gothic dungeons, noxious swamps, and stretches of rolling desert more compelling than action RPG game competitors, like Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, or Torchlight. Still, its creator, Blizzard Entertainment, has diminished some of the enjoyment of reaching high levels and kitting out your characters in fancy gear by leaning heavily into microtransactions. The latest of these, a mount called Vitreous Scourge, is especially egregious, requiring players to spend more on getting it than the cost of Diablo 4 itself.
Eugen Systems has made a name for itself in the strategy game space by creating classic series like Steel Division, Wargame, and Act of War. Back in 2022, the French developer moved on and put out its latest RTS, Warno, on Steam Early Access and has been steadily working on adding to it ever since. Now, with its latest major update launched and a 25% discount helping to bring down its price, Warno has received a big boost to its player count.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is my current go-to high-end gaming CPU recommendation, on account of its brilliant top-tier performance at a mid-tier price. The CPU normally costs around £375, but today it's down to £350 at Amazon UK. This isn't the cheapest we've ever seen this model, but it's the best price recorded in 2024 so far and a solid £25 below the going rate.
The RTX 4070 Super is a rather good deal, offering a significant boost in gaming performance over the earlier RTX 4070 - in fact, it's closer to the 4070 Ti than the vanilla 4070. That makes it a great choice for gaming up to 4K, while costing just a bit over the £500 mark - £539 to be accurate after a £50 discount that puts it below the UK RRP of £579.
That price is for a relatively modest Zotac Twin Edge model which fits easily even into small form factor PC, but thanks to the efficiency of the Ada Lovelace architecture the card should still run quite cool and quiet.
Last time, we conducted citizen science with a rare suggestion from a reader, and you decided that being able to reroll your build is better than instant-death bottomless pits. May you live a long and happy live refining by degrees, rather than slamming into hard lessons. This week, in celebration of Valentine's Day, we turn to matters of the heart, of loves and organs. What's better: health pick-ups looking like hearts or Doomguy's pet rabbit, Daisy?
In Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, characters mostly appear as names, voices, and sometimes an attached giant robot, but that hasn't stopped fans falling in love with them. So much so that one fan is developing an unofficial Armored Core dating sim featuring the game's various pilots with original designs and illustrations called Amour'd Core.
Developed by Austin-based artist Beth Short, Amour'd Core is a fan-made dating sim currently featuring nine Armored Core VI characters as romance options, with more planned. These include fan favorites like Handler Walter and Rusty, less prevalent characters like Pater and Maeterlinck, and even non-human characters like Ayre and ALLMIND.
Currently, there is no release date or list of expected platforms, and as an unaffiliated fan work the game's development is supported by Short's Patreon. There are several tiers of support available that include exclusive content and illustrations, and even the chance to appear in the game's credits.
You can find the creator's Valentine's Day tweet below:
Here is some of the concept art for the game's characters and UI from Short:
Back in December, 2023, pre-orders opened for a Handler Walter themed hoodie produced by Mamegyorai. Meanwhile, a behind-the-scenes seminar detailing the development of Armored Core 6 aired in Japan on January 19, 2024, featuring speakers from FromSoftware itself.
There is currently no release date for the Armored Core themed dating sim Amour'd Core, however you can support the development via Patreon, or follow the creator's Instagram and Twitter accounts. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is immediately available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
There's a lot going on with Anycolor, the company behind the Nijisanji Vtuber agency, with the English branch seeming to fall apart in December 2023 and January 2024 following situations surrounding Selen Tatsuki. However, this is more than just some recent issue, as the decline could even start to be traced as far back as 2022 when the Korean and Indonesian branches were first folded. It's a lot! Especially if you're new to Vtubers.
What's going on with Anycolor, Nijisanji, Selen Tatsuki, and its other English and Indonesian Vtubers?
This timeline will only go over confirmed and known information and announcements as of February 14, 2024. As the Selen and Dokibird situation is a bit more specialized as a result of Doki specifically saying requesting people tell others "this is where I am now" on social media on February 5, 2024, that is the only performer identity that will be discussed out of respect to the people behind the Vtubers. In addition, not all Nijisanji graduations between 2022 and 2024 will be noted.
February 17, 2022: Anycolorannounced Nijisanji Indonesia (ID) and Korea (KR) will be folded into the Japanese branch.

June 21, 2023: Nijisanji Vtuber Gundo Mirei graduates.
June 30, 2023: Anycolor announces four more Vtubers who started out with Nijisanji ID will graduate between August and October 2023.
July 8, 2023: Nijisanji EN Vtuber Nina Kosaka graduates. This marks the first English branch departure that is also accompanied by farewell streams due to the nature of Yugo's abrupt departure and Zaion's termination.
August 27, 2023: Nijisanji EN Vtuber Mysta Rias graduates.
August 20, 2023: Former Nijisanji ID Vtuber Azura Cecilla graduates.

October 29, 2023: Former Nijisanji ID Vtuber Hyona Elatiora graduates.
November 17, 2023: Former Nijisanji ID Vtuber Xia Ekavira graduates.
December 25, 2023: Nijisanji EN Vtuber Selen Tatsuki releases a cover of the Lilypichu song "Last Cup of Coffee." It is then set to private by Anycolor. Selen asks people on social media to share the cover. It is later uploaded by multiple fans online like Zero Kanao Ch.
December 28, 2023: Former Nijisanji ID Vtuber Mika Melatika graduates. A post appears on Selen's social media account that stated she'd been hospitalized to explain her sudden disappearance after December 25, 2023.

February 1, 2024: Anycolor announces Nijisanji EN Vtuber Kyo Kaneko will graduate on February 17, 2024.
February 5, 2024: Anycolor announces the termination of Nijisanji EN Vtuber Selen Tatsuki. Lilypichu confirms she gave permission for Selen's "Last Cup of Coffee" cover in August 2022 on social media. Multiple other members of the English branch announce breaks. Indie Vtuber Dokibird announces her return.
February 6, 2024: Anycolor releases a statement that states, in whole, "On February 5, 2024, ANYCOLOR made the decision to terminate our affiliation contract with the NIJISANJI EN Liver, Selen Tatsuki. The impact of this decision on our financial results will be negligible."

Anycolor releases a statement saying it didn't violate any confidentiality agreements by allowing its Vtubers to see the paperwork. Anycolor CEO Riku Tazumi addresses concerns regarding the "negligible" statement on February 6, 2024. All Nijisanji EN Vtubers except Kotoka Torahime, Kyo Kaneko, and Scarle Yonaguni share these statements on their social media accounts.

People playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink multiplayer on the PS4 or PS5 may notice improved matchmaking starting today or find they will see a higher drop rate when breaking foe parts thanks to a patch. The 1.0.4 update is now live and, while small, fixes two major issues people may have experienced when trying to play alone or with others.
After the game's launch, there were reports of people on the PS4 or PS5 not getting foe parts after breaking certain areas on enemies. For example, a friend of mine noticed an issue trying to get Vitality Hoof from Furycane when fighting it. Downloading and applying the Granblue Fantasy: Relink patch should fix the drop rate going forward.
As for Granblue Fantasy: Relink matchmaking, it only applies to a specific multiplayer situation. If someone has Power Adjustment on, they should see a different in ensuing match ups and fights. This change doesn't have any kind of effect on general matchmaking outside of that particular situation.
Granblue Fantasy Relink is now available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. People can now download the 1.0.4 update for the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. The next PC patch will appear on February 16, 2024.
Helldivers 2 is a game plagued by bugs, both intentional and unintentional. The latest problem to be found in the amazing liberation-spreading game is with the Helldivers armor rating being completely broken. In a new video released on YouTube, the problems are highlighted. No differences in light and heavy armor YouTube streamer Wulfrayne highlights the issues surrounding the damage ratings of the various types of armor. In his video he shows the amount of damage it takes to die using both light armor and heavy, and the amount is the same. With both sets of armor on, it takes six attacks to be downed in Helldivers 2. This bug will eventually be patched, but for now, it makes heavy armour completely redundant in Helldivers 2. It is better to simply play with light armor and make the most of the benefits that come with that. Light armor has much higher speed and much better stamina regeneration. In time, the patch for armor will be fixed, and the damage values will be ...

Persona 3 Reload made me realize what a personal experience the original release provided. It's funny, what a difference nearly 18 years can make, and how little that amount of time changes the ingredients that make up a great interactive experience. When Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 arrived in North America in late 2006, building on fresh brand recognition produced by Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, it offered a compelling RPG experience like none I had ever experienced. I was utterly enthralled. While playing the revitalized remake, I felt the familiar magic at work once again. The reasons for my enchantment had changed sometimes, as had the game's finer details and presentation. Mostly, those differences make Persona 3 Reload the definitive edition of an already very good game. The exceptions to that happy rule warrant a special mention, so let's get that out of the way. Persona 3 has seen multiple enhanced releases over the years, in Persona 3 FES (also released on t...

Since Helldivers 2 is a live service game, you can expect a tiered currency system. You can earn badges by doing certain objectives during the missions that unlock weapons, gear, and other items that make you stand out. The other is Super Credits, the premium currency acquired one way — till now. To learn how to get Super Credits for free in Helldivers 2, you might want to read below. Helldivers 2: How to get Super Credits for free Super Credits are surprisingly inexpensive in Helldivers 2. Unlike most games that feature a premium currency, there's value behind them, and doesn't feel like you're being robbed. But having the option of getting them free is great as well. Related: How to increase mission difficulty in Helldivers 2 To get Super Credits for free must simply play any mission. However, while you're in the mission, look for orange or blue storage crates. They can be hard to come. But I found a handful by going to the many question marks scattered ...

Destiny 2 ain't no spring chicken. Bungie's popular intergalactic looter shooter has been around since 2017, and in that time, the game has received numerous updates and expansions. Now, a new deal collects almost all of those expansions and updates into one $40 Steam bundle making it easy for anyone to jump in and…
Overwatch 2's ninth season has begun, and while most players are talking about the reworks and sweeping changes Blizzard has made, there's a small subset of people whose most anticipated part of the seasonal drop is a heart. No, not the heart-shaped balloon Reaper pops in his Valentine's Day emote; the heart-shaped…
Overwatch 2's ninth season is underway, and it's bringing some sweeping changes to the hero shooter. On top of reworking Pharah and giving every hero both a health buff and a passive heal, Blizzard also increased the projectile size of most heroes' weapons. In layperson's terms, they made the bullets bigger. This…
After months of speculation, the cast for the upcoming Marvel film The Fantastic Four has been announced by way of adorable Valentine's Day-themed art. The art also revealed a release date: July 25, 2025.
On March 22, Princess Peach: Showtime! will give us a standalone Peach game, rather than relegating the princess to the role of side character in yet another Super Mario Bros. title. We haven't gotten a solo Peach game since 2005 (and that one was pretty shallow and insulting), so this is long overdue. The upcoming…
After the welcome reception of the Super Mario RPG remake just three months ago, Nintendo is back with another remake in the form of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. If you were wondering what Sony's up to after its latest State of Play presentation didn't have much in the way of first-party games, it sounds like there was a reason for that. It looks like PlayStation 5's 2024 will have a dearth of first-party games over the next year, as the company has confirmed it won't be…
In 2011, BioWare's Dragon Age II portrayed its four main romantic conquests as bisexual, allowing them to be pursued by either the male or female version of main character Hawke. Minecraft has been around for nearly 13 years now, but Mojang Studio's sandbox game still isn't showing any signs of slowing down with the development of new additions and tweaks. The latest of these comes as part of the 1.21 update, currently available to test through Java snapshot, and brings shambling swamp zombies called the bogged to the game as a new mob to contend with in-game. Horrible stink monsters, it seems, are the nicest Valentine's Day present a Minecraft player could ask for.
With Diablo 4 Season 3 well underway and the Last Epoch 1.0 launch just around the corner, 2024 is looking to be a big year for the action RPG. Path of Exile 2 is certainly set to be one of the headline acts, marking the launch of a full, standalone sequel that's set to run alongside the now decade-old champion. With the original PoE regarded by many as the go-to ARPG for hardcore players and those looking to truly invest themselves into buildcrafting and systems, its director takes a moment to talk about what the PoE 2 endgame will look like.
AMD is set to bring back its AMD Anti-Lag+ feature, three months after it had to pull the plug on the technology following many users reports of the feature triggering bans in online games.
The first version of AMD Anti-Lag+ was an ambitious attempt by the company to introduce a driver-level means by which to have games be able to reduce input lag through some clever CPU/GPU optimizations. Unfortunately, anti-cheat apps used by some of the most popular online games flagged the software as a cheat, resulting in users getting banned.
As such, AMD pulled the plug on the feature, removing it completely while it worked on a means to fix the issue. All has been quiet in the three months since that happened but today AMD's chief architect of gaming solutions & marketing, Frank Azor, confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that "yes, [the feature was] coming soon."
Modern racing games can be a bit overstuffed. Series like Forza Motorsport, Need for Speed, and Project Cars have tended toward offering players open-world activities and in-depth customization, extending the fantasy of digital racing in ways that alienate the kind of person who just prefers to hop into a level and smash into things at dangerously high speeds. Fortunately for those of us who fall into the latter category, older racing games still exist - and a great one from 2004, FlatOut, can be grabbed for free right now.

How do you install and play a Minecraft snapshot? These snapshots are the very first iteration of Minecraft updates, and are a way for Mojang to test out bug fixes, technical changes, and new mechanics before officially rolling them out. Anyone with the Java edition of the creative game can try these features without any risk to your current world, so let's find out how to be the first to try the next big Minecraft update.
During Minecraft Live each year, the next big Minecraft update is revealed to the community. In past years, we've had the likes of the Caves and Cliffs update, The Wild Update, and the Trails and Tales update - each of them overhauling the base game with new Minecraft biomes, blocks, and mobs. Since these updates come with so much new content, they need to be tested out first, and that's where Minecraft snapshots come in. What are the best Marvel Snap decks? We've had one week with both Black Swan and Supergiant and while they haven't set the meta alight, they are both solid cards that are worth picking up. Now Cull Obsidian has entered the fray and the consensus is split. Some people think he's the best card this month whereas others reckon his weakness to Shang-Chi makes him a bit useless. Either way, he's a very well statted card, so he should find a home somewhere, right?

In classic Ubisoft style, Star Wars Outlaws will be an open-world game with action-adventure elements and a single-player experience. The story itself takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, centering around Kay Vess and her companion, Nix, as they take on a huge heist in the galaxy.

What is the best Skull and Bones ship loadout? There are only two main types of ship in Skull and Bones, based on size: small and medium. Sounds simple, right? Well, there's a bunch of ships in each category, and then there's weapons and furniture to fit it with, so it gets a little trickier from there on out.
It's obvious - to be even a somewhat decent pirate, you need a ship that's up to the job, and the best Skull and Bones ships are going to do a lot of the work in helping you and your crew rule the seas. Want to know all the Terraria bosses in order? Terraria bosses pose a great challenge to players, as one of the many aspects that make the popular sandbox game so varied and keeps players coming back over a decade on. If you're looking to make your Terraria life that bit more difficult, you can summon these bosses, but make sure you've got sufficient armor and accessories equipped first.
You can usually trigger Terraria bosses to appear by reacting to the environment, but you can also summon them using specific items relating to each boss. Defeating them will reward you with several benefits. However, some - particularly hardmode bosses - won't go down easy, and to encounter them, you'll need to have finished your first playthrough of the adventure game.

Alternatively, you can ignore the bundle and handpick some favorites to round out your collection.
Blending the samurai soulslike combat of Nioh and the undead hordes of The Last of Us and Dead Rising 2, Kingdom: The Blood is a new Steam game based on the popular Korean horror show Kingdom, which saw two successful season set in the zombie-infested medieval kingdom of Joseon. When it comes to choosing the best CPU cooler, there's a diverse range of options that cater to both casual users and PC gaming enthusiasts. For most home users, the key criteria of a good CPU cooler are that it should keep your CPU cool while remaining quiet, though some users may want all-out cooling performance over noise suppression or need a super low-profile cooler to fit in a tiny PC. Whatever your needs, we've got a CPU cooler for you.
The world of gaming PC CPU coolers may seem daunting, but fear not! We've assembled a list of the best CPU coolers from reliable brands like Noctua, Cooler Master, Be quiet!, MSI, and NZXT. We've crafted a dedicated guide just for the best AIO cooler options, and if you're wondering how to overclock your CPU, we can help with that too.
When picking a CPU cooler, ask yourself what your budget is, what space your case has, whether you care about making a fancy-looking interior to your case, and how much you care about noise. In general, quality air coolers are the best bet for most systems, as they can be quite cheap while being quiet. However, they can be big, bulky, and difficult to install. Instead, for a cleaner-looking build and an easier installation, all-in-one (AIO) water coolers are your best bet, but they can be a touch noisier and more costly too.
Keyboard and other gaming PC accessory maker, Drop, has just unveiled a pair of utterly gorgeous Lord of the Rings keycap holders that provide you with the perfect place to store or display the company's equally lovely LOTR keycaps.
Having previously dropped its stunning artisan Lord of the Rings keycaps, with designs including the Eye of Sauron, the One Ring, and a Rohan-themed display, Drop has now provided the ideal way to complete your best gaming keyboard accessorising.
With the Apple Vision Pro now out in the wild, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has now had a chance to don the VR/AR headset and experience it for himself. While he does have some positive things to say about the device, Zuckerberg has made it clear that he greatly prefers the Quest 3 in many respects. This isn't just corporate chest-beating at large, though, as the criticisms he offers seem mostly fair.
One thing I always wanted in Command and Conquer, specifically the older games, Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert, was a greater sense of taking care of my troops in between battles. In my head I might have grown attached to a particular infantry army or tank battalion, but as far as the game was concerned, the only thing that mattered was combat, and they were all disposable. A new WW2 strategy game, with elements from Company of Heroes 3, XCOM 2, and World of Tanks, blends tense and realistic battles with downtime and people management. Available to play as part of Steam Next Fest, it's already proven so popular that the demo has been extended.
A new update for The Sims 4 has added options to give characters vitiligo, the autoimmune disorder which causes patches of skin to lose pigmentation. Rather than a handful of preset full-body patterns, The Sims 4's vitiligo impressively comes as loads of patterns for separate bodyparts, so you can create a wide range of effects. And no, you don't need to buy an expansion for it.
We've eschewed any Valentine's theming this year, but Edwin put this in our news queue last night as a sort of dare for our evening shift, and let the record show I am less of a coward than Graham Smith. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, a visual novel Tarot-themed card game from perennial (perhaps perineal, in this case) favourites Deconstructeam, was praised by Edwin in his review, and I was going to use the same strapline for this news post had he not got there first. Because now, in time for the season of romance, they've teamed up with sex toy purveyors Uberrime to create a frankly prohibitively massive dildo as an official tie-in for the game, which can be won in a free competition by three lucky people living in either the UK, EU, US or Canada (as in, they each win their own dildo; they don't have to time share).
I mean I say "prohibitively", but I don't know your life.
A number of Ubisoft France employees are on strike today after the collapse of union negotiations with Ubisoft management, who have reportedly proposed a budget for wages "that would be lower than inflation for the second year in a row". The strikers are calling it a "badly balanced rewards system". Cheeky devils!
The news comes care of a post from Le Syndicat des Travailleurs et Travailleuses du Jeu Vidéo, who have evidently been doing their homework on videogame humour. That research has paid off, for here I am writing about the strikes, though I think I probably would have written about them anyway.
When it comes to co-op shooters and most other multiplayer games, it's often the case that friendly fire is switched off by default or there are endless systems in place to make it a punishable offence. In Helldivers 2 it isn't actively encouraged, nor is it punished. Accidentally vaporising your teammate with an air strike is all a part of the campaign for democracy and freedom, a hilarious byproduct of human error. I gushed about it in my review, and cheery RPS fanzine PC Gamer wrote up a quick piece on the specific ways it eeks out silliness.
But comedy isn't just accidental in Helldivers 2, oh no. I think it encourages playground behaviour of the worst order: smacking your mates into things.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a JRPG that is ticking off many of the action RPG tropes. It would be in danger of becoming workmanlike, such are the number of things you can tick off on your fingers like a plumber ordering parts: boss fights against improbably huge glowing monsters, an evil god, catboys, numbers popping off enemies, women who appreciate the combat applications of a thigh-high split skirt, anachronistic sunglasses, horned giants carrying halberds of the same approximate size as a caravan.
In practice, though, you sort of can't be mad at Granblue Fantasy: Relink. It's built around a layered combat system that seems impenetrable if you don't take some time to understand it. But really, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is just a game so committed to the rule of cool that the entire setting is physically impossible, and every battle is a disorientating Panic! At The Firework Factory that flirts with being a photosensitivity nightmare. I'm not selling it as such, but it's actually charming.
The Silent Hill 2 remake's State of Play trailer doesn't give a full and proper representation of the game, Bloober Team's president Piotr Babieno has observed in an apparent swipe at publisher Konami, who Babieno portrays as responsible for the upcoming horror game's marketing. If you missed it, the trailer in question focuses on the "modernised" combat. It shows alleged "everyman" protagonist James Sunderland getting all Gears of Warry with some maggoty marionettes and rancid demon nurses.
February's Steam Next Fest demo bonanza officially concluded on Monday, and Valve have now revealed the 50 most played games you all tucked into across the week-long event. Ordered by the number of unique players that spent time with them during Next Fest proper (meaning all those early demo plays from earlier in the month haven't been counted), the most popular game of the lot was one that was only formally announced right at the end of January. So congratulations Dungeonborne - your blend of PvPvE dungeon crawling and fantasy skelly monsters clearly struck a chord with this year's Next Festers.

Toby Fox released a Valentine's Day Deltarune and Undertale newsletter that offered an update on Chapter 3 of the new game. A brief update on Chapters 4 and 5 also appeared, and there is a new producer involved in development.
Apparently, the team is now working on the Japanese localization before finishing up the project. This is one of the final steps before that portion of the game is done.
As for Deltarune Chapter 4 and 5, the update mentioned progress on both as well. The fourth part is now the primary focus, and there is an unnamed internal deadline for that. This portion of the announcement also mentioned the new producer, though the member of the team wasn't named.
Here's the full update from the newsletter:
Happy 2024, everyone! The Deltarune team (and I) were taking a break for the holidays to visit our families, but now everyone's back and excited to get back to the game.
Re: Chapter 3, we are working on the Japanese localization. Then we will begin porting and bugtesting the Chapter, after which it will be... totally complete!
As mentioned last time, the team is now mainly focusing on Chapter 4, with some minor work being done on Chapter 5. We've set an internal deadline for ourselves regarding Chapter 4 and our new producer is going to help us make the sweet sweet moves we need to make to meet it. I am confident this is going to be a really productive year!!!
The last major update on the game appeared back in October 2023. That announcement noted that Deltarune Chapter 3 of the game will be sold alongside Chapter 4.
Deltarune Chapters 3, 4, and 5 are in development for PCs and other platforms. People can sign up for the official mailing list on the website for additional updates.
There's another new Princess Peach: Showtime trailer, and this video introduces four different powers and roles for her, as the game will include dashing thief, figure skater, mermaid, and mighty forms of the character. Each one, as usual, has its own specialties.
Things begin with Figure Skater Peach. When playing as her, people will glide over icy platforms and rinks and attack enemies. The Dashing Thief Peach uses a grappling hook to maneuver. Meanwhile, Mermaid Peach sings to gather fish in that portion of the clip. Finally, Mighty Peach is a super hero. That segment shows her fighting enemies on foot as well as flying through the sky to tackle additional foes.
Here's the Princess Peach: Showtime trailer going over the figure skater, dashing thief, mermaid, and mighty roles.
Most of the new trailer tend to focus on her different roles and showing how they'll affect her abilities in the game. For example, the January 2023 video involved looks at six other roles Peach can take. It looked at her cowgirl, detective, kung fu, ninja, patissiere, and sword fighter classes. The two new abilities that debuted in that trailer were cowgirl and ninja.
Princess Peach: Showtime will launch on March 22, 2024 worldwide. Pre-orders are open. There will also be a new pair of Joy-Con controllers out that day that are a shade of pink.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed the FFVII remake demo update will add new content and a performance update. He shared the official announcement on social media, mentioning this is an issue that will be remedied in both the base game and trial.
Here's Hamaguchi's statement, which he made when sharing the announcement from Square Enix. The patch for the demo was confirmed both on the English and Japanese accounts.
When playing FFVII Rebirth, there are two modes you can choose between. One prioritizes graphics, while the other focuses on the game's performance and frame rate. People who were playing through the trial once it released back on February 6, 2024 pointed to visual issues when the Performance option was selected. This announcement confirms that the update appearing on February 21, 2024 that adds a Junon segment to the FFVII Rebirth demo will also improve the visuals in Performance mode.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024. The demo will update with Junon content on February 21, 2024. The PS5 exclusivity arrangement expires on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Ever Crisis is available on the PC and mobile devices.
HoYoVerse uploaded three pieces of artwork to its Genshin Impact social media account to celebrate Valentine's Day 2024, and this year Jeht, a notable NPC, appears among the characters.
This year's characters are Navia, Lynette, and Jeht. With the exception of Jeht, both Navia and Lynette are newer characters who debuted in 2023. All of the posts have an accompanying blurb that's written as if the character is talking to you. Navia gives you macarons, Lynette gives you a box of Cafe Lutece's new stacks, and Jeht gives you a little wrapped trinket.
You can check out all of the Valentine's Day 2024 for Genshin Impact below:
Jeht's inclusion in this year's batch of Valentine's Day is notable because this is the first time that a non-playable character has shown up. She was an NPC who showed up in the Golden Slumber World Quest series from Sumeru. Many fans on social media have talked about how much the writing in this series of quests, as well as how much they liked Jeht and her interactions with the Traveler. Time will tell if this means HoYoVerse is considering a playable version of Jeht or if this is a nod at her popularity.
As an aside, HoYoVerse has also released artwork of Beidou. However, this is because it's Beidou's birthday rather than because she's also giving you a Valentine's Day gift. If one wishes, they can pretend that Beidou is giving them a treasure map for Valentine's though.
Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
The creator of the classic JRPG series Suikoden and Eiyuden Chronicle, Yoshitaka Murayama died. The announcemet comes via a statement by Rabbit and Bear Studio, which is currently developing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
Murayama, who originally created Suikoden while working at Konami, passed away on February 6, 2024 due to complications from an illness. At the time, he was working as a scenario writer for Rabbit and Bear Studios to develop Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. That is set to release in April 2024.
The statement was signed by fellow designers Junichi Murakami and Osamu Komuta, as well as Junko Kawano. Kawano worked with Murayama on the original Suikoden. His colleagues expressed regret that he would not get to see the fan reaction to Eiyuden Chronicle, but vowed to press on with development nonetheless.
Hello everyone, It's with a heavy heart and deep sadness we must inform you that the scenario writer and head of Rabbit& Bear Studios, Yoshitaka Murayama, has passed away on February 6th due to complications with an ongoing illness.
Murayama first began this journey of the creation of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in 2020 through the support of his very loving fans on Kickstarter. Throughout the three-plus-year-development of the game, it was always the passion from his fans that continued to drive his creative vision and motivate him to put his all into the project.
His hard work on Eiyuden Chronicle as scenario writer was finished, but as his co-workers and friends, it saddens us to know that he won't get to see the reactions from his fans.
However, even with those feelings we need to accept the reality that he is no longer with us and continue to push his dream forward by releasing Eiyuden Chronicle to the world.
We want to maintain his legacy and vision with this game and know that he would have wanted the rich world he has created with Eiyuden Chronicle to live on.
His family sincerely appreciates your prayers and support but asks for privacy and that no flowers, mail, or other offerings be sent.
We will have more information on organizational changes to Rabbit & Bear as well as changes to some of the Kickstarter rewards in the near future. For now, we appreciate your continued support.
Back in December, 2023, Rabbit and Bear Studios announced in a Steam development log that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes had entered the bug-fixing stage of development ahead of its release on April 23, 2024. A short while before that, the studio also released 6 minute long trailer highlighting the features of the game, including combat systems and some of the characters.
Yoshitaka Murayama, creator of Suikoden and Eiyuden Chronicle series, died on February 6, 2024. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will release on April 23, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
HoYoVerse posted its first batch of pictures for Valentine's Day on the Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero social media accounts. This is the first year since the game launched and the other was announced that we're seeing Valentine's Day art for them.
This year, the Honkai: Star Rail characters that we receive gifts from are Sparkle, Kafka, and Ruan Mei. While the Genshin Impact Valentine's Day posts read like the characters are directly talking to the player as they hand out their gifts, the Honkai: Star Rail ones are descriptions in third-person. Kafka gives an exquisitely-wrapped box of handmade chocolates. Meanwhile, Ruan Mei has made some experimental pastries and Sparkle has a bag of varied chocolates.
Here are the Valentine's Day 2024 posts for Honkai: Star Rail:
While Kafka has been around the game since launch, serving as the very first character you can control, Ruan Mei and Sparkle are relatively new characters. Sparkle is not even playable as of the time of writing, yet she appeared in official seasonal art ahead of more familiar characters like Himeko or Serval. Granted, when Genshin Impact first started releasing Valentine's Day art in 2021, the characters HoYoVerse chose were Keqing and Ganyu (with Ganyu's playable debut being January 2021). Sparkle's inclusion could also be a way to hype her up, as her banner will be in the second phase of the current Version 2.0 patch.
Meanwhile, here is the Zenless Zone Zero Valentine's Day art. It shows Victoria Housekeeping characters Rina, Corin, and Ellen.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Zenless Zone Zero is expected to come to the PS5, PC, and mobile devices in 2024.
NIS America announced that it and Nihon Falcom will release Ys X: Nordics on the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC in English and French in Fall 2024. This comes after its September 2023 launch in Japan on consoles and Clouded Leopard announced it'd bring the Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese PC version to Steam on March 14, 2024.
Depending on the platform you pick, different text options will be available. Both consoles and PCs will have English and French, as well as English and Japanese voice acting. However, only Japanese text will be available as an option for the PC version. The PC version will also be available via three outlets at launch, as NISA confirmed Epic Games Store, GOG, and Steam will all offer it.
Once again, players will journey alongside Adol Christin. This time, there are more seafaring elements. This is partially because Adol and Karja, a pirate, are stuck together. (Don't worry, as Dogi will be back as well.)
There are also a number of initial screenshots showing what people can expect from the upcoming release. Here is the first patch NIS America shared with us.

Director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed through a post on his social media that Dragon's Dogma 2 will support variable framerate at launch. Itsuno hasn't specified which framerate modes the game will offer or how it will work on different platforms yet.
The post shared by Itsuno included an English and Japanese caption. While the English caption mentions "uncapped framerate," the Japanese caption specifies that the game will support variable framerates.
At the time of writing, it is unknown how Dragon's Dogma 2 will handle the variable framerate options. One possibility is that the game will include different modes that prioritize higher framerates and higher resolutions in PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, similar to other recent RE Engine games like the Resident Evil 4 remake. Meanwhile, the PC version should be more flexible in how to customize the framerate options.
You can check out the original post by Director Hideaki Itsuno here:
During the January 2024 Sony State of Play, Capcom revealed new details about Dragon's Dogma 2, like a new Warfarer vocation that can use all weapon types and abilities from other Vocations, as well as information on the Dragonsplague and Vocational maisters.
Dragon's Dogma 2 will come out for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on March 22, 2024.
Nintendo decided to remind people the Mario vs Donkey Kong games didn't always focus on puzzles with the Minis with a Switch port, and that's great! It's was a solid game before and, now that it's back on a modern console with a few quality of life changes and additions, it's once again a perfectly fine and enjoyable puzzle platformer.
Think of Mario vs Donkey Kong as an origin story for the Minis we see in subsequent installments. DK saw a commercial for cute Mario toys. He went to go buy some. They were sold out. So, like any reasonable individual subject to the supply and demand nature of corporate greed designed to incentivize splurging, he heads to the factory and steals all of the Minis. Mario happens to be walking past when this happens and assists the Toads by going to various worlds to reclaim the stolen figures and face DK.
Image via Nintendo
Each world progresses in a similar way. There are six levels. Each one has a first half that involves finding a key and getting it to a door, which is a puzzle platformer challenge. Once you do, you reach a second half of a level that has one Mini at the end. After collecting all six Minis, you go through a stage where you have to guide the six through obstacles and hazards by leading them as Mario, getting blocks that spell out "TOY" so they can eventually be returned to the box. The number of Minis you save this way become Mario's health points for the ensuing fight against DK in the final stage of each world. As with the original, finishing all the worlds means you unlock more difficult plus versions that involve leading a Mini Mario.
So really, some of the elements from the other Minis entries like Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis are here. You are just dealing with a time limit, limited health if you aren't playing on the easier Casual difficulty that eliminates the health and timer limitations. Rather than typical Super Mario platformers, a big part involves knowing how to reach additional platforms, determining when Mario should do a handstand to gain access to his higher jump or prevent projectile damage, working out when switches should be flipped, and managing the movement of the key across levels. That final one can be especially critical, as you have 15 second when you aren't holding it before it returns to its original placement and you often need to toss it into certain places and retrieve it later to progress.
Image via Nintendo
As far as being a remake, a lot of what's here in Mario vs Donkey Kong is designed to make it feel more comfortable on the Switch. The co-operative multiplayer feels like a nod to younger or newer players who might join with an older or more experienced one, given the base levels aren't all that difficult. The Casual mode, likewise, feels like a response to that. Plus, it of course looks a little spiffier than it did before.
I do appreciate that some of it does feel geared toward making the experience a little more challenging as well. The new Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit worlds are both great. So much so that it almost feels out of place when you consider how much fun some of the new wind-blowing-flower and ice-floor mechanics are compared to the other stages. This was most evident with Merry Mini-Land, since it comes in after two worlds that are much less usual and don't really stand out as much in terms of difficulty, while Slipper Summit is placed in such a way that the new mechanics and difficulty feel more appropriate when sandwiched in later. The new Time Attack feels like a nod to folks who know the game, get how to handle levels, and want to test themselves. Combine all this with the Expert levels, and it's solid.
Image via Nintendo
It's also nice to see some quality of life changes too. While it was always just me playing the game, knowing there are multiple save files in case I needed to be in a situation where I'd have to share was great. It's also much easier to scroll around and get a better view of the level. This is especially helpful once you get past the first two worlds, given the sizes of the stages. I also must admit that I really did appreciate the Casual Mode once I turned it on to test it. It helped me better appreciate and investigate the design of the new worlds.
Though while what is here is great, I do have to admit it sometimes felt a bit like the remake, as a whole, was unnecessary. The new worlds are well done and add the the experience for sure. I really appreciated Time Attack! But if someone does have the original Game Boy Advance game, I don't really see this as being the remake they need to play. Especially after the rather excellentAnother Code: Recollection collection. As I went through it, it felt like something of a placeholder while waiting for the next big Switch game.
Image via Nintendo
I like Mario vs Donkey Kong on the Switch a lot, mainly because I liked it a lot on the Game Boy Advance. This remake isn't all that dissimilar, and that's why I think it is so much fun. However, even with the new worlds and multiplayer option, it doesn't feel all that different. If you missed it before and have never played it, then it is absolutely worth picking up. However, it is probably okay to start saving up for whatever Nintendo has planned next if you owned the original.
Nijisanji EN Vtuber Scarle Yonaguni seems to have missed two streams as of February 13, 2024. One was apparently a member's stream, and the other was a public 8pm PT/11pm ET "Niji Pepe Adventures" stream on February 13, 2024. Update: The "Niji Pepe Adventures" stream was rescheduled for 10pm PT/1am ET on February 15, 2024.
This comes after Scarle Yonaguni was one of the few Nijisanji EN Vtubers to not share recent messages from Anycolor and fellow performers Elira Pendora, Ike Eveland, and Vox Akuma about the termination of Selen Tatsuki and events thereafter. Kyo Kaneko, who graduates on February 17, 2024, and Kotoka Torahime also did not.
Here's Scarle's most recent schedule, which she shared on February 10, 2024. Her next scheduled stream is supposed to be on February 14, 2024 at 10pm PT/1am ET and involve chocolate ramen.
There was no update from the Nijisanji Vtuber on her social media account initially. Her last activity was a February 12, 2024 reply to Larian Studios showing updated Baldur's Gate 3 kissing from the game's next patch.
However, Scarle updated on February 14, 2024 with a pinned message in the new rescheduled stream's chat with reactivated chat. She noted:
I'm terribly sorry for worrying everyone! I have been off social media all day today! And I forgot about the waiting rooms! I promise I'm ok! I'll see you all tomorrow!

How to clear fog in Helldivers 2 Once you enter the fog around the map, little will be able to be seen. Sometimes, the fog covers the entire map, and sometimes, just patches. Either way, it's debilitating. To clear the fog in Helldivers 2, you need to look for enormous glowing mushrooms towering out of the fog. These tall Mushrooms are what produce the mist. Once it has been destroyed, the fog should quickly clear. Screenshot by PC Invasion If you have managed to complete one of the R...
