The Razer Hammerhead Pro Hyperspeed is Razer's current flagship wireless gaming earbuds set, or gamebuds, if you prefer. Like other gaming earbuds, their key differentiator from conventional wireless earbuds is that they include a USB dongle, so not only can you connect these to your Bluetooth devices, but you can also connect them to your gaming PC via a dedicated high-speed wireless connection.

This immensely useful utility means you can take a call while gaming, control your PC media via your earbuds, and of course use a single set of earbuds for both gaming and travel. Considering the cost of premium earbuds, potentially only needing to buy one set for all your uses is a major boon. Razer doesn't have this combination to itself, though. It's fighting with the likes of the SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds, Sony InZone Buds, and Turtle Beach Scout Air for a recommendation as the best gaming earbuds you can buy, as well as the best gaming headset. I've tested the Hammerhead Pro Hyperspeeds over several months, including home gaming and travel by train and plane, to see how they hold up.

A new high-end AMD graphics card is reportedly being tested in the company's labs right now, with significantly more powerful specs than the company's current crop of GPUs, including large quantities of GDDR7 VRAM and very high clock speeds. The latest speculation says that the new GPU could potentially beat the RTX 5080 Super and RTX 4090, and is likely to be called the AMD Radeon RX 9090 XT or 9080 XT.

As we've just found in our Radeon RX 9060 XT review, the latest AMD RDNA 4 architecture is extremely powerful, with the $349 16GB version being a much better buy than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060. However, AMD has previously stated that it plans to abandon high-end GPUs with this generation, which makes these latest rumors particularly surprising.

How do you unlock the hollow doors in the Alone in the Dark Chapel? The best horror survival games are filled with complex puzzles and conundrums - after all, a jump scare just wouldn't be the same if you didn't have to spend ten minutes unlocking the door in front of it first. As you explore Derceto Manor in Alone in the Dark, and another world entirely, there are plenty of brain-teasers to keep you distracted from what might be creeping around you.

Among the most terrifying locations in the horror game are the chapel crypts you enter directly from the Manor basement. Naturally filled with undead creatures, this area of Alone in the Dark has three separate doors that must be unlocked with gold medallions - very Resident Evil. To get these hollow doors open as quickly as possible, and avoid being devoured by monsters, here's where to find each of the Alone in the Dark chapel medallions and how to arrange them.

Certain characteristics of Dagger Directive might convince you that it's a milsim shooter in the vein of Ground Branch or Arma. Bullets are affected by distance and velocity. Both you and your enemies will die if you're hit even once. Weapons are expansively customizable and, especially without suppressors, plausibly, realistically loud. But this is something else. So far, the boomer shooter trend has been primarily built on our collective memories of Doom, Quake, and Half-Life. Dagger Directive, published by old-school PC icon Microprose, brings Novalogic's Delta Force, the original Rainbow Six, and 2001's Ghost Recon into the inspiration pool. But even then, it's more than just a tribute act.

What are the Alone in the Dark combination lock solutions? We've been here before. While Alone in the Dark is very much its own game, it's easy to draw similarities to other genre stalwarts like Resident Evil. These parallels are only aggravated by the similarity in some of the puzzles, and it's hard to think of a horror survival game without at least one combination lock.

The 1992 original Alone in the Dark is one of the games considered as having launched the genre, but the colorful, almost comical game never had quite the same grit and gore as, say, Resident Evil 1. That came a few years later, and its puzzles were far simpler. Utilizing everything the horror survival game genre is today, Alone in the Dark has many more head-scratchers to solve as we return to 1920s Deep South, including classic combination lock puzzles.

Remedy's highly anticipated co-op shooter is out soon, and the FBC Firebreak system requirements are looking very reasonable at first glance, but remarkably, we have another case of upscaling being used to possibly list older PC hardware, which is somewhat misleading.

You won't need the best graphics card to run this supernatural FPS, but you are going to need Nvidia DLSS or AMD FSR, just like the Hell is Us system requirements, which admit to using upscaling at all tiers. More baffling is the fact that FBC Firebreak is using a version of the Northlight Engine, Remedy's in-house creation that has been in use since 2016, so it's not like this decision is driven by the introduction of a powerful new engine.

After spending several GPU generations struggling to climb out of limbo, AMD is now determined to fight back. Thanks to some very aggressive pricing and its new supremely capable RDNA 4 graphics architecture, the Radeon RX 9070 XT has already made a big splash, despite its largely fictional MSRP, and now AMD has Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5060 series in its sights with its new GPU, which we're testing now for our AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT review.

Costing just $349 for the 16GB version, this new AMD GPU undercuts the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB by $80, at least in terms of MSRP, while the 8GB version has the same $299 price as the RTX 5060, while offering a lot more GPU power. Has AMD just made the best graphics card for gamers on a budget? I've been running the new GPU in loads of the latest games, as well as some older ones, to find out.

What are the best sports games on PC? For the longest time, publishers were reluctant to bring their best-selling sports games to PC. Besides EA's annual EA Sports FC release and Sports Interactive's Football Manager series, the sports genre on PC has been pretty sparse up until recently. Nowadays, no matter what sport you're into, you should find something to scratch that competitive itch.

There used to be a time when console versions of sports games used to be superior in terms of the player base, graphics, and more. Fortunately, crossplay has drastically changed everything for PC players, putting them on the same footing as their console brethren. The PC versions of sports games have much to offer, including support for high refresh rates and resolutions beyond 4K. If you want to expand your Steam Deck or ROG Ally storage, and want faster performance than a microSD card, this gaming SSD deal is perfect, with 1TB and 2TB models on offer. The Sabrent Rocket Q4 is a 2230 form factor SSD, meaning it's a lot smaller than traditional SSDs, but its smaller stature makes it perfect for gaming handhelds.

While the Steam Deck is still hands down the best gaming handheld for most, its storage options start from just 64GB and max out at 1TB, which in the modern gaming era is only enough space for a few big triple-A games. If you caught The Witcher 4's tech demo at yesterday's Unreal showcase, you likely spent an above-average amount of time for a Tuesday being impressed by horse muscles. Still, however excited you were about that horse, I'd wager you weren't quite as happy as Alice Ruppert - consultant on the upcoming Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori, and owner of the very best website about video game horses on the internet. Ruppert's initial reaction? "Tears of joy in my eyes when they showed the slow mo horse movement".

"I'm a big fan of the of the Witcher books, and so I knew that Ciri has a horse named Kelpie in the books," Ruppert tells me over a call, "so, that's part of it". But it's also the care that's been put in. "Like: here's our gorgeous horse. We care about it, and we know you care about it. And that made me feel very seen. I think that's what brought the tears to my eyes. Of course, I am so profoundly a horse girl that you can, depending on my mood of the day, you can show me a slow mo footage of a horse galloping and I will cry in any case. That's just my horse appreciation brain rot."

Glory Holes Of Oblivion is an Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered mod that lets you shoot arrows and cast spells through holes in gates, and also allows your enemies to do the same. Cheers Ex Research for the spot. NexusMods lists Glory Holes Of Oblivion as containing 'adult content'. This is surely because they're not scholars of glassblowing or drawers. More on this in a second. First, here's a good skeleton demonstrating the use of the mod.

I need help identifying an Ossic Ring. Whatever an Ossic Ring is, it's related to a serpent goddess and is great at keeping away vermin. Legend holds that you can hear it hissing. I'm not sure if the Ossic Ring is an actual ring, and if so, whether it's a ring for your finger or a ring necklace or a ring design found on something unhelpfully nonringular.

With time running short (I am playing the demo for Bad Viking's Strange Antiquities on the train), I grab weird knick knacks from my shelves at random and thrust them imperiously at the customer. Perhaps this berringed corpse's hand? No? How about this iron band enclosing a blue crystal tear? I get it wrong three times in a row and my character's brain saturates with Dread. To dispel the Dread, I must play a farkle-style dice game, matching faces to sigils before my soul collapses. Ah, this is just like recommending guest beers at the gastropub I worked in before getting my first job in the shitpost business. Do Strange Ales next, Bad Viking.

The one that very quickly had to patched because it wouldn't stop saying bad words, and has since become the subject of action from the SAG-AFTRA union? Well, it'll be getting some AI NPC siblings later this year, with Epic planning to give creators the tools to create their own.

3 More FFIX Songs Join Final Fantasy Music Box Collection

Square Enix announced its Final Fantasy music box collection will grow in October 2025, as three more songs from the FFIX soundtrack will be part of it. This is part of the ongoing nod to the 25th anniversary of this installment. Each one costs 2,750円 (~$19) in Japan. Only the e-Store features listings for them as of time of writing, but Square Enix sold past entries in its Online Store and on Amazon.

The three FFIX songs in the Final Fantasy music box lineup this time are "Not Alone," "A Place to Call Home," and "Roses of May." The first one, "Not Alone," is associated with the cast as a whole, and it relates to the way in which they support Zidane. "A Place to Call Home" comes up frequently throughout the game, and the top of that one features the game's logo and track name. As "Roses of May" is the theme for Beatrix, she's featured prominently on the top of that box. Finally, "You are not Alone."

Here's how all three look. Square Enix didn't share YouTube videos that let us hear how they sound.

This isn't the only entry from this game in the Final Fantasy music box collection. A "Melodies of Life" one of the game's main theme is already available worldwide. It usually costs between $22 and $30, depending on where you find it and its age.

The next three entries FFIX music box releases will debut in Japan in October 31, 2025, with a worldwide launch following that. The game is available on the PlayStation, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster Teasers Show Agnes and Edea

Ahead of the debut of Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, Square Enix shared looks into the past lives of Agnes Oblige and Edea Lee. Each one highlights what they were doing just ahead of the events of the game, which debuts on the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. It also offers glimpses at other people we see throughout the game.

The first image involved a peek at Agnes before she headed out on her mission for the Crystal Orthodoxy in Bravely Default. She's the Wind Vestal devoted to that elemental crystal. As shown in her prequel art and story, she's working alongside another nun from the Temple of Wind to teach people in Ancheim about the importance of crystals.

The Bravely Default second image showed Edea Lee at the Duchy of Eternia back when she fought alongside the Sky Knights. This is before we meet and join up with her in the game following her mission to intercept Agnes. In the background we can see her father Braev Lee, Grand Marshall of the Council of Six, watching as she walks alongside Alternis Dim, another member of the order.

Here's how both images look. Each one features a brief story segment below it.

As a reminder, this is one of multiple JRPGs that are part of the Switch 2 launch window, with all of them being familiar faces.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster will come to the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, and the original game appeared on the 3DS.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX episode 9 is written by Hideaki Anno

Hideaki Anno was directly involved in writing the ninth episode of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The founder and president of Khara also published tweets explaining several details behind the episode's production on the studio's secondary social media account. Be advised that the rest of this article will contain Spoiler Warnings for the new episode.

Editor's Note: There will be spoilers regarding the involvement of Hideaki Anno in episode 9 of the Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime below.

In the first tweet, Anno described the amphibious Mobile Suits that appeared at the end of the ninth episode. He asked the show's director Kazuya Tsurumaki to have them appear with a minimal amount of work. The team only needed to depict the upper halves of the Mobile Suits, as they had just returned to the surface after working underwater.

https://twitter.com/khara_inc2/status/1929930377726144662

The second tweet covered the crux of the episode. Hideaki Anno noted that the earlier plot for GQuuuuuuX in November 2022 featured a different character from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. He also clarified that this character does not come from a specific island. However, when the studio made the first version of the script in July 2023, the story was completely changed to feature the specific girl instead.

Anno also revealed that he and Yoji Enokido made their own separate scripts for the new scenes inside the warship Sodon. Kazuya Tsurumaki would later combine both scripts for the final release.

https://twitter.com/khara_inc2/status/1930128688059744548

In the most recently published third tweet, Anno noted from the show's scripts that after the One Year War concluded in the GQuuuuuuX universe, Zeon established several exclaves in geopolitically important regions on Earth. It also set up military bases and arms factories to help safeguard those regions.

https://twitter.com/khara_inc2/status/1930136310968398321

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. The platform exclusively publishes new episodes, including the latest ninth episode, the earliest after the Japanese television premiere.

Interview: Hololive Vtuber Kiara Takanashi Talks About Her Music and Future

Among the most active Hololive English branch members is Kiara Takanashi, a Vtuber who is coming up on her fifth year performing with Cover. She's also quite prolific, working on original songs, covers, conducting interviews on Holotalk, and streaming games. Siliconera got a chance to catch up with her following the release of "Perfume" to talk about her latest song, other tracks, and plans for the future.

Jenni Lada: You just released your most recent song, "Perfume." How long was it in production, and what sorts of challenges did you face when preparing it?

Kiara Takanashi: There were some delays for the release, as I was originally gonna release it in December, so the song was already ready for quite a while. For my 3D music videos, my MV maker Kanauru usually speeds through it in only 1 month after I provide my recorded motion data! But 1-2 months before the MV making process starts, and a little bit into the process, I was also working on the creation of the 3D model. Designing it, illustrating it, and then supervising the process of it being turned into 3D.

Also, another thing being done simultaneously was the digital jacket design. I had a very specific image in my had of a perfume bottle standing right on the edge of a pool, with sunlight throwing some strong shadows and all that. The challenge throughout all of

this is handling so much on my own, due to not being with a music label! It gives me more creative freedom, but it is also a lot more stressful.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07alVKGB-Aw&ab_channel=TakanashiKiaraCh.hololive-EN

For the "Perfume" music video, you designed your outfit for it. How did you go through that process, and were there any specific real-world designs you used as inspiration for it?

Kiara Takanashi: I think this time I did not have anything as inspiration, I just knew from the start that I wanted a very flowy, cutesy, girly dress, with 2 layers in the skirt part so that when I would turn during a dance, you could see the 2 layers twirl separately.

I did have inspiration though for the hair, actually. I wanted really straight and long hair, because I had seen [Jang] Wonyoung from IVE slay with that kind of hairstyle a lot, and it looked so

sophisticated, so I thought this is what I need. I feel like a lot of the time we Vtubers will have big, fluffy, spikey or curly hair, with over the top design elements and all that, but I just wanted it

to look somewhat realistic and elegant for this purpose.

Finishing everything up with some pretty diamond accessories, because at least in 3D they do not cost millions to produce, I think I managed to bring the whole look of a sophisticated, cute

girl together quite well, and my fans hopefully saw a very different me this time.

You released your first album, Point of View, back in 2023. With "Chimera," "Mirage," and "Perfume" released in 2024 and 2025, are you currently working on a second one?

Kiara Takanashi: I am not - but I am thinking about it! Again, since I am not with a music label, making a single is already quite stressful sometimes, but a whole album was more challenging than I had anticipated. But who knows, I might want to give it a try again!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIOTD5ndZEE&ab_channel=TakanashiKiaraCh.hololive-EN

You applied for Eurovision 2024. Would you consider applying for the 2026 competition?

Kiara Takanashi: Perhaps yes! I think they may have not been quite ready yet for something like a Vtuber, because the logistics already seem difficult to produce for them, but I think it could make for some interesting headlines for them and for us, and I would love to be on such a big stage, at an event that is so important to that part of the world that I am from.

You worked on a number of duet covers recently with fellow Hololive members like La+ Darknesss and Sakamata Chloe. What does the process look like for preparing these performances?

Kiara Takanashi: Usually the one inviting the other handles the whole process, like finding an artist to draw the illustrations and giving them the instructions - also the music video creator. I was so focused the past 2 years on my original songs that I was not making many song covers, but there were some recent bangers from my favorite song creators that I could not just let go uncovered.

Sakamata Chloe had also announced her graduation, and since our performance of "WILDCARD" was so well received at holofes 2024, I wanted to make sure that people can listen to it publicly eternally. So, I decided to whip up a song cover version of it and I am so glad that she had time to record it!

For Laplus, people have been seeing some kind of connection between us for a while because she openly praises my music a lot, and both of us are quite the dancers. Recently we have been

bonding a bit more than usual, and there was this song, "FAKE HEART," that I really wanted to cover. It is originally already a duet song, and I thought her voice would fit the role of Kagamine Len perfectly! Maybe at some point, we can also perform it in 3D!?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEGbAKvSf1Q&ab_channel=TakanashiKiaraCh.hololive-EN

You recently participated in Enigmatic Recollection: The Chains of Fate with fellow Hololive English members. What kind of preparation goes into that type of roleplay? Are there any tricks you use on the fly to help keep up with lore and establish your character behind the scenes?

Kiara Takanashi: To be honest, this is the second time for this event, and I struggled both last time and this time with it, mostly due to language. I think my English is very fluent and for everyday streaming, there are no issues for me to find the words that I need to say. But ENReco is kind of in this medieval atmosphere, so I need to try to speak like that if I want to really blend in. I actually love that kind of medieval stuff, but talking like that in a foreign language is still a big challenge for me.

Regardless, I really committed this time and spent a lot of time streaming the project, even though the streams were at 3AM-7AM my time roughly, for 8 days in a row. Sunlight was not witnessed for a while, but many exciting and chaotic moments have been shared!

We've seen a number of Hololive Vtubers perform themes for projects like anime series, and in the past you acted as the Tales of Arise ambassador for Bandai Namco. How would you feel about getting to be the featured singer for an anime or game opening, and is there any specific title you'd consider a dream project?

Kiara Takanashi: Recently I actually had that honor, by singing an opening for One Piece - not alone though! Together with a couple others, but it was super cool to hear my voice through the TV throughout March 2025, when it was aired. It was a cover song of an older iconic opening song, "WE GO!," which was super fun to record.

But if I were able to do such a thing one day as the sole singer, that would of course be even more awesome. I would always be open for it, may it be for a game or for an anime. My own song have been mostly following a more western direction, but I used to sing in a more JPOP style too, and still love that kind of anison genre very much. It's just so much fun! So hopefully one day I get that chance again!

I know Japanese creations like games and animes also like make songs that feature german lyrics because they sound cool to them, so … Just as a reminder, German is my first language… Wink wink!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhnaWh2Rsas&ab_channel=TakanashiKiara-Topic

Your Holotalk show show essentially turned into not only a project to help better introduce people worldwide to people from other branches, but as something of a means of commemorating departing individuals like Gawr Gura, Nanashi Mumei, Fauna Ceres, and Amelia Watson. How do you feel about this project after conducting these interviews for coming up on five years, and do you have any other goals for the show going forward? Could we see some Indonesia branch members appear?

Kiara Takanashi: Even though I have already done so many episodes, I always feel super nervous during these. Preparing them is always a bit of work, and I want to do each talent justice with the questions and information shared. Recently I have done these graduation episodes too, which gives me that pressure even more so, but I am so glad I get a chance to take a deeper look into their

activities one last time and share it in both English and Japanese, so that Japanese fans of these girls may also understand a bit more, if they don't speak English.

Indonesian members, just like English members have been on my mind for this for a long time, I was just gonna do Japanese members first for the longest time - The only reason why I started

the English ones earlier than planned was the graduations… But! Perhaps it is finally time to get to my lovely friends from Indonesia soon!

Speaking of which, you're coming up on five years with Cover and Hololive. What kinds of goals would you like to pursue in 2025 and 2026?

Kiara Takanashi: 2025 is going by so fast, we are already halfway through… I am currently preparing for my 3D Birthday live concert - shortly after the big one I had at Easter!! And then soon after that, I will have to prepare for the 3D Anniversary concert with my genmates. The summer is packed!

2024 I had the honor to be part of the first World Tour of ours, so compared to that 2025 maybe looks to be less exciting in terms of concerts for me. Therefore, hopefully 2026 more opportunities will come my way!

Kiara Takanashi streams can be viewed on YouTube, and she's active on social media.

Best Switch 2 Launch Window JRPGs to Play

The Switch 2 launch is a pretty good one for fans of JRPGs. Aside from being largely compatible with many of the Switch games we already own, meaning we get access to a large selection of existing titles, the launch library also contains six JRPGs so far. I mean, it could be more. We do have Summer Game Fest 2025 this month, and that could mean shadowdrops. To help you keep up, here's all six of the JRPGs we know will be on the system as of June 4, 2025. (And I'll be sure to keep it updated throughout the first few months of its "life.")

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar-5abg3ut0&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster

Out of the entire Switch 2 lineup, Bravely Default HD Remaster is likely the first one you'll think of when the JRPG genre comes to mind. This is because it is the most traditional new game that fits that formula. A remastered version of the classic 3DS game, it's a turn-based adventure that is honestly very Final Fantasy due to its use of crystals and reliance on jobs for abilities. (It's basically a successor to the DS game Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.) Anyone playing it for the first time can look forward to a really interesting story!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN4ZcGJoZac&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Deltarune

Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4launch alongside the Switch 2, giving us the next part in the series to play when the new console debuts. Its turn-based battle system is very much like a JRPG. This means we can almost nearly complete the game, what with Chapter 5 being the final part. Even better is that you can test this out without paying first, as Chapters 1 and 2 are available for free.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ABhNnsO4Fw&ab_channel=LEVEL5ch%E3%80%90%E5%85%AC%E5%BC%8F%E3%80%91

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Level-5 only announced Fantasy Life i would be a Switch 2 launch title at basically the last minute. But don't take that as an indicator of the quality! This is an amazing game in which you take part in action-RPG battles and build up Lives (jobs) tied to combat, crafting, and gathering. The Switch 2 upgrade purchase gets you higher frame rates and better graphics. Go through three different time periods, build yourself up, do lots of crafting, and figure out what's going on with a mystery that goes all the way back into the past as well as the present.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUEWLLvgUTE&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army

Atlus has us covered for the Switch 2 launch with the return of a classic action-RPG from its Shin Megami Tensei JRPG library. Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is back just after the new console's debut. We follow Raidou Kuzunoha XIV during the Taisho era as he solves the supernatural disappearance of a young woman with demons by his side. There are lots of quality of life adjustments in this release too!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGq8brkpwwo&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

While there's a little light platforming that can be an issue, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is actually a fantastic JRPG for the Switch 2. It isn't as heavy on the farming as past installments, instead prioritizing fighting your way through different regions as you explore, help build up villages, and form relationships with different characters. This is all set against a storyline about awakening gods and saving a region from disaster. There's even a $10 Switch 2 upgrade for it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m7YHLlDq40&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster

While Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars did initially debut earlier in 2025, the compilation is also part of the Switch 2 launch window. This gives you the HD versions of two of the best JRPGs from the PlayStation era. It could easily keep you busy for 80 hours. It ran well on the original Switch, so it should be just as fantastic on the Switch 2 too.

Raccoon companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are a lot of adorable critters running around the Valley and Eternity Isle in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and each of them has its own unique tastes and behaviour. Each critter can become a companion if they trust you enough, but earning that trust is easier said than done.

Whether you're desperate for a Raccoon to follow you everywhere you go or want a Cobra to be your best bud, you need to learn their likes and dislikes as well as how to approach each animal.

While some critters don't mind your presence, others will repeatedly run away and entice you into chasing them. There's a lot to remember, but it soon becomes second nature, especially for your personal favorites. Let's uncover every Disney Dreamlight Valley critter's favorite foods and some tips for approaching each animal.

How to befriend critters in Dreamlight Valley

How to feed Squirrels

Location Favorite food How to approach
Plaza Peanuts Squirrels don't run away, so you can simply approach them directly.

Squirrels are the first critters you'll encounter in Disney Dreamlight Valley. They live in the Plaza and have a preference for peanuts. You can purchase peanuts from Remy's restaurant shop. Squirrels won't run away from you when you approach them, letting you freely interact and feed them.

How to feed Rabbits

Location Favorite food How to approach
Peaceful Meadow Carrots Rabbits will run away three times. Chase after them until you can interact with them.

Next up is rabbits, who you'll mainly find in Peaceful Meadow early in your playthrough. Their favorite food is carrots, which you can purchase from Goofy's stall or grow from seeds you obtain from the Meadow's Night Thorns. Unlike squirrels, you'll have to chase rabbits around three times before they stop and let you feed them.

How to feed Turtles

Location Favorite food How to approach
Dazzle Beach Seaweed As you approach, a Turtle will hide inside its shell. Wait a few moments until it reappears before interacting with them.

On the right side of Disney Dreamlight Valley's map is Dazzle Beach, a coastal biome that houses adorable sea turtles. Their favorite food is seaweed, which you can find in any biome. Your best strategy for obtaining this resource is to avoid bubbling ripples while fishing.

The sea turtle is the first critter you need to be cautious around. As you approach it, it'll hide in its shell for a few second before reappearing. When the turtle hides, stop moving for a second and wait for it to reveal itself again before moving again. Repeat this until you're in range to feed it.

How to feed Raccoons

Location Favorite food How to approach
Forest of Valor Blueberries Approach only when the Raccoon's head is down, or they will run away. Interact once you are close enough.

Right above Dazzle Beach is the Forest of Valor, a wooded region full of raccoons. Raccoons love their regional food, with blueberries being their favorite. You'll find blueberries inside bushes scattered around the forest.

As you enter their detection range, they'll go on alert, searching the area for predators and fleeing when it finds one. In this case, it's you. As they do this, stop moving until their head's down before continuing to move, repeating until you're within the raccoon's range. It'll then become passive, letting you feed it some blueberries.

How to feed Crocodiles

Location Favorite food How to approach
Glade of Trust Lobster Approach only when the Crocodile's head is down, or they will run away. Interact once you are close enough.

On the opposite side of the map is our first mid-game region, the Glade of Trust. Within the glade, you'll find several crocodiles waiting to eat their favorite food, lobsters. You can find lobsters by fishing in orange fishing spots within the Glade of Trust.

The crocodile has an identical movement and detection pattern to raccoons. Its head will go up once you're in range, so you'll need to wait until relaxes before approaching.

How to feed Foxes

Location Favorite food How to approach
Frosted Heights White Sturgeon Foxes will run away three times. Chase after them until you can interact with them.

Directly north of the Forest of Valor is Frosted Heights, a frozen tundra where you'll find numerous foxes. The fox's favorite food is the White Sturgeon, a rare fish you catch by fishing in orange spots within Frosted Heights.

The fox has the same movement and detection pattern as rabbits. They'll run away as you approach, so keep chasing them down until they relax, allowing you to feed them some White Sturgeon and take one step closer to recruiting them as companions.

How to feed Sunbirds

Color variant Favorite food
Emerald Sunbird Green or yellow Houseleek
Golden Sunbird Orange or purple Houseleek
Orchid Sunbird Pink or purple Houseleek
Red Sunbird Red or purple Houseleek
Turquoise Sunbird Pink or green Houseleek

Sunbirds are a critter native to Sunlit Plateau, the desert-like region north of the Glade of Trust. They differ from other critters, as each differently colored Sunbird has it's own favorite food. Their favorite food is Houseleek, a flower also found on Sunlit Plateau, with the bird's wing color determining the exact type.

Sunbirds are friendly critters that will approach you without hesitation, much like squirrels. By the time you collect a few Houseleeks, you'll likely already have one nearby, ready to eat. If not, chase one down until it stops and lets you feed it some flowers.

How to feed Ravens

Location Favorite food How to approach
Forgotten Lands Any five-star meal Simply walk up to them, as Ravens don't fly away upon approaching them.

Our last critter within Disney Dreamlight Valley's base game is the raven, an animal only found within the Forgotten Lands. They have an expensive taste, with five-star meals being their favorite food. Like squirrels and sunbirds, you can easily walk up to them to feed them.

The easiest five-star meal to produce is a Large Seafood Platter, as it simply requires four Shellfish—Clams, Oysters or Scallops from Dazzle Beach's shores—and a Lemon, which can be foraged from trees in the Forest of Valor or Glade of Trust.

How to befriend critters on Eternity Isle

How to feed Monkeys

Location Favorite food How to approach
Ancient's Landing Banana Split A Monkey will run away when you approach. Chase after it until it allows you to interact with them.

Our first Rift in Time critter is monkeys that reside in Ancient's Landing. Their favorite food is the banana split, which you can create using the following ingredients:

  • Slush Ice
  • Banana
  • Milk
  • Sugarcane
  • Any sweets

They have the same movement pattern as rabbits and foxes. Once you approach them, they'll mischievously run away. Continue chasing it until it stops and lets you feed it some delicious banana splits.

How to feed Cobras

Location Favorite food How to approach
Glittering Dunes Eggs Approach only when the Cobra's head is down, or they will run away. Interact once you are close enough.

Next is the Cobra, a critter native to the Glittering Dunes. Their favorite food is eggs, which you can easily buy from the Chez Remy restaurant's kitchen shop. Like raccoons and crocodiles, you'll need to watch its head while approaching it.

How to feed Capybaras

Our final A Rift in Time critter is the capybaras of the Wild Tangle. Their favorite food is cabbages, available from Goofy's Wild Tangle stalls. Like the real world, capybaras are chill creatures. You don't need to watch for any special movement patterns with them. Just walk up to them and give them a cabbage to make them happy.

Our next set of animals are those from the Storybook Vale, with The Bind's owls being the first you'll encounter. Their favorite food is barley, a grain purchased from Goofy's stall in The Bind. Like regular birds in Disney Dreamlight Valley's base game, you can walk up to owls and feed them without them going on alert or flying away.

Mythopia Four-star vegetable-based meals The Pegasus will run away when you approach. Chase after it until you can interact with them.

Next is the Pegasus, an adorable critter that runs around Mythopia. They have a peculiar diet, eating only four-star or higher meals that are vegetable-based. If there's any meat within the dish, they won't be a fan.

Like rabbits and foxes, Pegasuses will run away as you approach them. You'll need to chase them down to tire them out, letting you feed them some food and get another step closer to unlocking every critter as a companion.

Everafter Pure Ice and Magma Approach only when the dragon's head is down, or they will run away. Interact once you are close enough.

Our last Storybook Vale critter is the baby dragons within Everafter. They have two favorite dishes—Pure Ice and Magma—that you can find within Everafter and Mythopia. Unlike owls and Pegasuses, they'll go on alert as you approach them, so watch their head patterns and move carefully to avoid scaring them.

Over time, you'll notice that every animal has different colors and appearances. Although this doesn't affect their behavior and favorite food, you can unlock each variant as unique companions. However, they only appear at specific times, so knowing every Disney Dreamlight Valley critter's schedule will help narrow down your search.

No Man's Sky Beacon key art

No Man's Sky continues its ever-evolving journey of free updates today with Beacon, but that's just part of the good news about the space exploration game.

Developer Hello Games also confirmed a free update is coming to enhance the existing game on Nintendo Switch for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, and it drops alongside the new console tomorrow, June 5.

"For the last year we've had this secret room with some Switch 2 dev-kits from Nintendo," the dev said. "New platforms are always exciting and our small team has loved pushing the new hardware to its limits."

For starters, the Switch 2 version of No Man's Sky will support cross save and cross play and add full multiplayer, high-res texture support, an increase in pixel density in both TV and handheld mode, an increase in the resolution of the UI, full support for touch screen, and gyro controls.

The free update for Switch owners on Switch 2 will also include Beacon, which "completely overhauls settlements, bringing towns and their management to the game, "including huge new robotic settlements to discover, with impossibly new sci-fi buildings."

"Players can become town mayor and take ownership of multiple settlements," Hello Games said. "You can construct buildings and upgrade each one, with new building types like jukebox bars where you can choose the music, merchants where you can build custom starships or even ponds you can chill and fish at. Each inhabitant can be conversed with, with their own abilities and attributes to manage. As town mayor you'll be enlisted to welcome new settlers, resolve disputes, and make choices to create prosperity."

Beacon is the latest in a long line of free, massive overhaul updates to No Man's Sky, which has undergone a laundry list of quality-of-life changes since its original launch way back in 2016 to become an impossibly large space spectacle. And now, you can play it on the newest console out there when it launches tomorrow.

But the Switch 2 is just one of many platforms where No Man's Sky can be played. The game, and Beacon, are also available on PC, PS4, PS5, PSVR, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PCVR, and Steam Deck.

Holding a Rabbit up in the air in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mirabel has some critter-related tasks for you to get done during Disney Dreamlight Valley's Parks Fest event. Tackling these quests is essential if you want to fully complete everything the event has to offer.

All of Mirabel's asks challenge you to find specific critters around the valley, which can be a pretty daunting task if you aren't familiar with interacting with them. If this task has you stumped, here's how to complete Dreamlight Parks Fest: Critter Snacks in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

To fully complete the Dreamlight Parks Fest: Critter Snacks quest, you need to find three Rabbits around the Peaceful Meadow biome and feed them their favorite food. There generally aren't three Rabbits wandering around this region at the same time, so knowing their schedules is crucial for getting this task done.

Rabbit schedule in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are five Rabbits that call the Peaceful Meadow biome home. Each one has a unique schedule and can only be found and interacted with on certain days within specific timeframes. Here are all of the Rabbits you can meet and when you can find each one.

Feed some Rabbits in the Peaceful Meadow their favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can feed some Rabbits in the Peaceful Meadow their favorite food for the Dreamlight Parks Fest: Critter Snacks duty by giving three different Rabbits a Carrot. To make progress in this quest, you need to select three unique Rabbits to interact with rather than feeding the same one multiple times.

Rabbits also like several other foods, including most grains, spices, fruits, and vegetables. Since Mirabel's quest specifically asks you to give them their favorite food, though, you must stick to only giving them Carrots to get it done.

Before you can feed each Rabbit, you need to play a game of tag and chase them around the biome until they allow you to interact with them. You generally need to chase after them around three to five times before they're ready to be fed.

With this quest out of the way, you can move on to tackling other important tasks in the Dreamlight Parks Fest event. Scrooge McDuck has several duties for you to get done, too, including Dreamlight Parks Fest: Dig It, Dreamlight Parks Fest: Ovals, and Dreamlight Parks Fest: Rectangles.

If you need a break from quests, you might want to tackle crafting some Popcorn Buckets instead. To do so, you need to complete tasks like Mine Time!, Oh, BotherSquirrel!, and A Shining Icon.

A ghost in front of a flaming cross in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia has been spooking ghost hunters since its initial release in an early access state back in 2020, and it's now bringing the haunts to Hollywood with a feature film. On June 3, it was announced that the Phasmophobia team is partnering with Blumhouse to develop a movie.

The film is already in development, but a timeline as to when we might expect to see it released hasn't been shared. It's likely at least a year or more out since it's in the very early stages of production, but we do already know a bit about it.

Blumhouse is the driving force behind this adaptation, and it's the company behind many massive horror films, including Get Out, The Conjuring, M3GAN, Happy Death Day, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Halloween. More recently, it's also the studio that brought the Five Nights at Freddy's game to the silver screen and is actively working to develop Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

Blumhouse is certainly familiar with adapting video games and is the powerhouse production company behind many of the most iconic and well-known horror movies, so it seems as though the Phasmophobia adaptation has landed in the right place.

Daniel Knight, the Director of Kinetic Games and Lead Developer of Phasmophobia, said this announcement is the "start of something really exciting" and that the team "never could've imagined the incredible heights this game would reach when it launched five years ago."

This reveal didn't come with any details on what the movie will entail, so it's unclear how exactly this adaptation will play out. Phasmophobia doesn't have a whole lot of lore, nor does it have a comprehensive storyline, so there's plenty of room for the movie to get creative with it. It'll be interesting to see what kind of approach Blumhouse takes with it.

"Working with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster marks an incredible new chapter for the game, and we can't wait to share more as the project develops," the lead developer also said.

Since its launch back in 2020, Phasmophobia has amassed over 23 million global sales despite still technically being in an early access state. It's consistently received massive updates and overhauls as the devs work on moving it toward official release, which is currently slated to happen sometime in 2026.

This news comes shortly after the Chronicle update announcement and the Horror 2.0 update moving into development, so it's been a pretty busy time for the ghost-hunting game recently, and there seems to be plenty to look forward to. Although we don't have much information about what this movie adaptation will entail, we'll certainly learn more as the development process continues.

If you want to learn a bit more about this news, you can check out the official press release.
