Sony has removed its interview with Neil Druckmann (creator of The Last of Us; executive producer for Uncharted) due to inaccuracies in the final edit. It apologizes to Druckmann for "misrepresenting his words," as well as any negative attention he may have gotten as a result of it.
The interview in question talked about animation, writing, technology, AI, and his future projects. However, Druckmann has since took to Twitter (X) to point out that Sony's interview removed a lot of nuance from his answer, as well as misrepresented his views. He also included his full answer to the question.
The issue stems from Sony asking Druckmann about a personal vision or dream project he hopes to see in the future of entertainment. He replies that he was lucky he worked on so many dream projects in the past. He also talks about how gaming has become something all age groups can enjoy. Druckmann mentions that the The Last of Us show has given more visibility to games and the rich experiences they can offer. Finally, he states that the popularity and success of The Last of Us (the show) can "redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming."
However, he then took to Twitter (X) to show his actual "rambling" response to the question. In his full response, he talks about how The Last of Us (the show) can make non-gamers realize the depth of storytelling and wealth of narratives in video games. Because of the show's success, even non-gamers are focusing on Naughty Dog to see what they'll put out next. At the end, he goes back to the original question and says that he was lucky work on his favorite gamers with "incredible collaborators." Sony's edits have retained the spirit of Druckmann's reply. But it failed to note that an editor paraphrased his replies.
Druckmann did not comment on or correct the mentions of AI in the interview.

A special Hello Kitty version of Licca-chan is available for pre-order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sanrio mascot. Pre-orders are open until June 30, 2024.
There are a lot of little motifs related to Hello Kitty and the 50th anniversary in this Licca-chan. Hello Kitty's ribbons are all over the design of the dress, which features 50 roses in total. She's also holding what appears to be a stick with Hello Kitty's head at the end, and there is a ribbon-like hair arrangement at the base of her ponytail. This Licca-chan will cost 24,200 JPY ($153.50) and she'll come out in late November 2024.
Licca-chan is almost like a Japanese version of the Barbie doll in that it enjoys the same level of popularity and fame as Barbie in the United States. Takara Tomy released the first Licca-chan doll on July 4, 1967, as well as provided a lot of background information on her age, favorite books, and parents. This makes Licca-chan older than Hello Kitty, who debuted in 1975 and was designed a year earlier.
Sanrio has released a lot of merchandise, as well as collaborated with multiple companies, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty. Some examples include a limited edition necklace and Crocs. There are also multiple events at Sanrio theme parks in Japan.
The Hello Kitty version of a premium Licca-chan doll is available for pre-order until June 30, 2024.

Hobby Stock has announced that a Hatsune Miku Expo 10th Anniversary figure based on her key visual for that event is in production. It will be a 1/7 scale figure.
There is virtually no information on the figure, including details on the pricing or release window. Judging by the Tweet, it's still much too early to tell. The figure seems like it's still in the planning stage without a prototype for people to see.
Illustrator Iwato was the one who designed this particular Miku. Iwato's Pixiv is full of their other Miku art, as well as artwork of original characters. The Hatsune Miku Expo 10th Anniversary version of her has more frills in her skirt and sleeves, as well as pink highlights in her hair. There's also a giant square ornament in her hair, complete with yellow ribbons. It seems like a modern and intricate take on her original design, with the additional colors providing a more futuristic look.
The Hatsune Miku Expo is usually a series of world tours in which a holographic display of Miku performs a concert. For the 10th anniversary, Crypton will also release an EP with songs from previous Miku Expos. This EP also features Iwato's design for Miku on the cover.
The Hatsune Miku Expo 10th Anniversary figure is in production. More details on it will appear in the future.

The Underwater Treasure Hunt online event is now live for Genshin Impact. Treasures you can obtain include Primogems, Sanctifying Unctions, and Mora.
You can access the event via the in-game menu or here. You'll have until June 11, 2024 to participate. In order to get your prizes, you simply need to log into Genshin Impact. This will give you three opportunities to use the Treasure Compass. Using the Treasure Compass will result in the game randomly giving you one of the available prizes. After you use all three attempts, you'll need to wait for the next day.
Genshin Impact is now in the final few days of Version 4.6 and the next patch will go live on June 5, 2024. The new characters who'll debut in that update are Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. Like Arlecchino, who became playable in 4.6, Clorinde and Sigewinne will use the Bond of Life mechanic that HoYoVerse introduced in Fontaine. While there won't be any story-based events, this update will also have the Clorinde and Sigewinne Story Quests so there's plenty of content for players to enjoy before Natlan, which will be the newest region to explore.
Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices.

TKGames has released VTuber Home Run Derby, a game in which you compete against a variety of Hololive and Nijisanji VTubers in baseball. You can play it for free on your web browser.
There are six difficulties in the game, with Houshou Marine as the easiest and the first one to challenge. In order to progress through the next level, you must hit a certain quota of home runs. However, you only have a limited number of chances. For example, Houshou Marine will pitch 20 balls at you and you only need to score 7 home runs. But you need to get a home run. Hitting the ball does not add to your score. As you progress through the levels, the VTubers start throwing more difficult and impossible (in real life) balls.
If this sounds familiar to you, then you probably experienced the trenches of Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby. Both games focus only on home runs and the more difficult pitchers are ludicrously unfair. Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby was originally on the Japanese DisneyGames website before it appeared on Yahoo Japan. It went viral in 2012 after years of relative silence due to how intensely difficult it is. Indeed, TKGames even referenced Puniki (the nickname for Winnie the Pooh; combines "Pooh" with "aniki" or "big bro") in the description for this. Puniki is not a nickname normal people use for Winnie the Pooh; only those who survived to tell the tale of Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby refer to him as that.
VTuber Home Run Derby is available via TKGames's website. You can also check out their other game, Holo no Suika.

Square Enix has opened up pre-orders for Tarot cards and hanafuda cards based on Dragon Quest. These are exclusive to the Japanese Square Enix store, which means that those outside of Japan will need to find a proxy service of some kind to import them.
The Dragon Quest Tarot cards cost 2200 JPY ($14) and will ship out on June 30, 2024. As a purchase bonus, the Tarot cards come with a code that you can use in Dragon Quest X. This code will give you a Tarot Medal and Tarot card paintings that you can use to decorate your house. These Tarot cards look more like collector's items or hobbyists, as the art for the cards lacks a lot of symbols and motifs that are present on traditional decks.
The Dragon Quest Hanafuda cards cost 3300 JPY ($20.95) and will come out on September 29, 2024. You can actually use them to play Hanafuda, or you can keep them around as something to display. All of the cards feature classic monsters from the series, and Slimes, of course, appear the most. They still incorporate the Japanese imagery present on a traditional Hanafuda deck.
The Dragon Quest Tarot and Hanafuda cards are open for pre-order via the Japanese Square Enix store. The latest entry to the series, Dragon Quest XII, is still in development.

For years now, Kotobukiya has been releasing Mega Man model kits based on mainline installments and even entries in the Battle Network series. These tend to focus on Mega Man himself, though occasionally other characters like Roll appear. While they are expensive and can be rare, they're honestly relatively easy builds for people who are new to model kits and love the series.
What do I need to build a Mega Man model kit?
The thing about Kotobukiya kits is that most of them don't require paint or glue. Even if they are elaborate ones, like the Megami Device or Sousai Shojo Teien ones, they tend to snap together easily, come with accessories, and have waterslide decals for extra embellishments.
That said, I recommend getting a model tools kit with nippers, tweezers, and a file. A lot of the sprues will have exceptionally tiny parts, and the nippers will help you get pieces off cleanly. A good pair could even eliminate the need for filing down parts. Also, the tweezers will be essential for waterslide decals. The one I use is a BXQINLENX kit I bought back in 2019 and still use to this day. It's usually $7.99 to $13.99 on Amazon.
What kinds of Mega Man model kits are easily available and accessible?
Kotobukiya has made a ton of Mega Man model kits, but due to things like their age and availability, they can sell out swiftly. Also, it might feel like there's an overwhelming number of Mega Man X-series ones. But there is a constant stream of new ones coming up, so don't be discouraged if the entry or character you want isn't immediately available. For example, Axl, Bass, and Sigma ones are among many in the works!
A lot of Mega Man X ones are easily available on sites like Amazon now. Note that the armor for these models are often interchangeable. Their effect parts can be swapped. They will also all be articulated and may have extra face parts. Here is an example of some kits you can find:
And here's how those look:
There are also some general model kits based on other Mega Man games and characters available. So you could consider these options:
And here is how those two look:
Basically, there are a lot of options! Get started with a kit with a price you're comfortable paying or that is of a character you like a lot. From there, take your time and enjoy yourself! There's no rush, and since the plastic doesn't require painting, it will look great even if you build it and immediately display it.

There is also a coin charm attaching Numby to the keychain portion, with coins appearing as a common motif for both Numby and Topaz. As a note, HoYoVerse's Taobao store does seem to offer international shipping, but the prices will likely be on the more expensive side.

Game Freak has yet to announce a main series title in the Pokemon franchise, despite us being halfway through the year. This has led many players to ask: will we be getting a new Pokemon game in 2024? Here is everything we know so far about the Nintendo franchise's plans for this year.
Which Pokemon Game is being released in 2024?
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we are getting a main series Pokemon game in 2024. Instead, the Nintendo developer is releasing a mobile app titled Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. This game adapts the TCG game to mobile phones, where you can compete against other players.
It also has a gacha mechanic where you can open two free packs of cards a day to collect and trade cards. Some of the game's cards are called Immersive Cards, which feature specialized graphics and music to accompany them.
We don't have the exact date for when Pokémon TCG Pocket will be released, but it will be available on Android and iOS sometime later this fall. Based on previous years, Game Ferak would have announced a 2024 Pokemon title during the annual Pokemon Day celebration in February. However, the only thing that was announced was the new TCG app.
When Will the Next Main Series Pokemon Game Be Released?
Game Freak announced earlier this year that their next installment in the Legends series will be released sometime in 2025, called Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It serves as the follow-up to Legends: Arceus, which took place a few hundred years before the events of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
Legends: Z-A takes place in Lumios City in Kalos, where Lumios City is undergoing a redevelopment plan. It is unsure if it will be an open-world game like Legends: Arceus or now many of the first game's mechanics will carry over. Legends: Z-A will be released on the Switch.
Outside of Legends: Z-A, we don't know when any other main series Pokemon game will be released. The Pokemon Company has not yet announced the followup to Scarlet and Violet nor any remakes. Considering Pokemon's release history, we can likely expect remakes of Black and White next, but with the next Legends game taking place in Kalos, we might be looking at X and Y remakes instead.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now available on Nintendo Switch.
