Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake trailer has a cryptic, meaningful easter egg

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is real and it's headed to PC. But as Konami reveals the whole-new version of the seminal Hideo Kojima stealth game, formally titled Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, we're left pondering precisely why there's a picture of the triangular, delta symbol in the name. Do we call it Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Delta? Is this all part of some cryptic, ARG thing, that eventually plays out in the full game itself? It's a neat little easter egg, with a nice cryptic meaning. Konami outlines the MGS3 delta mystery.

The Lord of the Rings Gollum review – far from precious

I have always been a massive fan of J. R. R. Tolkien's creations. From experiencing The Hobbit as a young child with my father to writing up my university dissertation on women in Middle-earth, his writing has had a profound impact on me. Unfortunately, my quest to review The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has proved to be an unexpectedly perilous journey.

Ubisoft's Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time remake seems to be rewinding the clock on production since the game is still in the "conception" stage of development. The remake was originally supposed to come out four months after its reveal in 2021, tripped into 2022, and was then delayed indefinitely after switching developers. Essentially, this sounds like a Benjamin Button situation.

I didn't get as deep into The Lord of the Rings: Gollum as our reviewist Rachel, but I do share her view that it is not A Good Game. In fact, I've had about as much fun with it as I would on a spa day in the Barad-dûr sulfur pits. Between the soulless platforming, undercooked stealth, tedious storytelling, and framerate stuttering so bad it's got me killed twice, Gollum is perilously short on likeable qualities. Especially if you're not into LOTR lore, or fine hattery.

In my unclad head, then, Gollum's highlight so far has been DLSS 3. It's one of just a few dozen games to support the newest, most artificially intelligent version of Nvidia's deep learning-powered upscaler, and frankly makes a very compelling argument for switching it on. Graphics card allowing, obviously.

I don't like being mean about games, but I do like being honest about games, and, yeesh, is The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum putting me between a rock and a hard place. The bottom line here, folks, is that Gollum is not good. Just as the ring corrupted Sméagol, playing Gollum has made me a husk of a human being, a twisted and bitter shadow of what I used to be. Playing it for more than 30-minutes at a time would make me feel unsettled, prompting some kind of feral need to scoop my brain out of my skull.

Tower of Fantasy PS4 and PS5 Versions Announced

Another action-RPG that started on mobile devices and PCs is heading to Sony consoles. Tower of Fantasy PS4 and PS5 versions are on the way. There's no exact release date yet. However, it is expected to appear on consoles in Summer 2023. A first trailer appeared for these versions of the free-to-play game as well.

Here's the Tower of Fantasy PS4 and PS5 trailer. While it doesn't show any original content for the console releases, the description for the video mentions some "exclusive items for PlayStation users." Also, while there's no pre-order page on the PlayStation Store yet, the description mentioned "48-hour early access" if someone were to pay for a "premium" version.

Like games like Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy regularly gets new updates. For example, the Special Orders gacha system allows people to get new weapons, which in turn unlocks Simulacra (characters). Equipping one changes your avatar's appearance and abilities. We also see new locations in the game after new patches. The latest SSR Simulacrum added in May 2024 is Rubilia, tied to the Lost Melody weapon. In-game events appear as well, providing opportunities to return to the game to earn special rewards or take part in different sorts of quests or minigames.

Here's the trailer for Rubilia:

Tower of Fantasy is available on PCs via Steam and mobile devices.

Exotic Engram Focusing Destiny 2Season Passes in Destiny 2 have been a thing for almost as long as the game has been out. They allow you to strive to achieve more awards and try harder in each event to get that all-important loot at the end. There has always been a huge swathe of challenges and hoops to jump through to push forward with the progression. The Season Pass in Destiny 2 has rewards for players who have bought into the extra tier and rewards for those that don't. I have always enjoyed the little, and sometimes big, bonuses that come along with the season progression, which is why the choice to allow players to buy all Season Pass levels in Destiny 2 is a little controversial. You can now buy Season Pass levels in Destiny 2 Screenshot by PC Invasion Before Season of The Deep, it was only possible to progress through the Season Pass with the blood, sweat, and tears of gameplay. However, now, with the use of silver, the in-game currency, it is possible to buy your way through the Season Pass...

PlayStation Destiny Armor setThere are very few things I like more in the world than the feeling of getting loot in video games. This is one of the reasons that Destiny 2 hits the spot for me. Every little achievement, quest, and win rewards me with that sweet endorphin kick whenever I progress. Destiny 2 has even made it possible to get more bang for your buck with Deep Dive Keys. These keys award you with extra loot at the end of any Season of The Deep event. How to get the Deep Dive Key in Destiny 2 Deep Dive Keys and Salvage Keys are actually very easy to get your hands on in Destiny 2. They don't require any additional missions or events to be completed. You can get Deep Dive Keys by simply completing any event in Destiny 2. If you are finding that you're not receiving any Deep Dive Keys, you probably just need to play more. They do not drop as often as other keys, such as the Defiant Keys, do. Try entering into quick missions like the Crucible. You should be able to run through these even...

Totk Poe Souls In The DepthsThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lets you fashion all sorts of powerful weapons from twigs, rocks, monster horns, and more. However, there aren't a lot of options if you happen to prefer a more mystical approach. Here's our guide explaining how to get a Magic Rod in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom – how to get a Magic Rod There are a few ways to get the Magic Rod, which you can then combine with precious stones such as a Ruby or Sapphire to produce a truly powerful weapon. Screenshot by PC Invasion If you want a Magic Rod, you can sometimes get one by defeating a Wizzrobe enemy. They are the elemental magic users that flit about and leave trails of light you must follow to hit them when they briefly appear and fire magic in your direction. See the image above to get a good look at one. Unfortunately, the Magic Rod is a rare drop. I've only seen a Wizzrobe drop one a handful of times, despit...

Totk Moblin Farming Death Mountain Moblin Guts Item DropThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, like Breath of the Wild before it, features one of Link's oldest enemies: the Moblin. You can defeat them and scavenge their guts for hero purposes down the road. Here is our guide on how to farm Moblin Guts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom – how to farm Moblin Guts Besides looking and smelling pretty, Moblin Guts serve multiple purposes in the game. You can use them when cooking elixirs, or turn them in for a reward at the Fang and Bone. To farm Moblin Guts, you must kill as many Blue Moblins as possible. They sometimes lose their guts when defeated, but the regular red ones don't seem to. Knowing that, you should try to pick a fight with a Blue Moblin whenever it's convenient. I recommend bringing along healing items and strong armor. Screenshot by PC Invasion Blue Moblins are sturdy enemies that can put up a fight, especially if you have weak weapons w...
