Destiny 2 fishing explained: How to catch Exotics, locations, rewards

How does Destiny 2 fishing work? Fishing is an all-new activity in Bungie's popular space-themed looter-shooter. There are a lot of details to catch in the minigame, so if you find yourself fishing for answers as well as a Kherprian Axehead or two, you've come to the right place.

Introduced in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep, the fishing activity allows your daily catches for loot, including Legendary weapons and armor. Fishing also grants the chance to earn several Triumphs in the FPS game, which you can redeem for more fishing bait and XP toward the season pass.

Here's what you need to know about fishing in Destiny 2 so you don't get baited into catching run-of-the-mill common fish.

V Rising has multi-floor castles, so why no basements?

I love vampires, I love building, I love crafting, and I love gathering. What better game for me to play, then, than V Rising? After its initial release, V Rising became one of my most beloved survival games almost immediately. It has managed to hook me like no other game has for years, keeping my eyes glued to its dark, gloomy world. I loved most of what it had to offer, even upon its initial launch, but I wanted more options while building my castle. I wanted mutliple floors and levels. I wanted basements.

Homeworld 3 release date speculation, gameplay, and news

Looking for the Homeworld 3 release date? Homeworld is back and this time Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing are at the helm of the project and aiming to deliver the long-awaited experience that meets fans' expectations. But, three years on from its announcement, what have we seen so far from the game and what can you expect from it once it releases?

Announced at PAX West 2019 Homeworld 3 quickly met its crowdfunding goal by one hundred million percent after Gearbox Publishing only asked for $1. But, with fans of the series waiting patiently for so long for their backer rewards and the next entry in the series, the game has seen some quiet periods and a delay, which has stalled excitement somewhat over the last year or so. But, with the release date finally on the horizon, expect to see a lot more on top of what we already know about what will hopefully be one of the best PC games of 2024.

Team Fortress 2 Sniper actor John Lowrie is back at Valve and working on a new project. With Team Fortress 2 now 16 years old (oof, that hurts), the thought of something new for the FPS game is tantalizing. But perhaps it's even bigger. Lowrie tells fans to "stay calm," but he's also lent his talents to Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead, and his partner and regular collaborator is of course, Ellen McLain, aka, GLaDOS from Portal. Most video games are too big. Their lands are too expansive, their histories over-explained, their playtimes too long. Most of everything is too long (songs, books, movies, everything) but it's especially felt in games, where the magical "What's next?" feeling of discovering a world often fades to leave the "What task must I complete now?" drudgery of playing a video game. So I hugely admire Cosmo D's Off-Peak series, which has built the feeling of a huge and fascinating city through only four tiny locations visited across four games with a combined playtime of under eight hours.

It is entirely irrational that I can see a hundred largely identical online shooters and not blink, but see a single game cover similar ground to something unique can make me go, "Oh, it's a Grounded knock-off".

It's also extremely unfair on Smalland Colon Survive The Wilds, a lovely survival game about being a teeny tiny person in the wilderness, where bottlecaps serve as tabletops and beetles are a deadly threat. It is absolutely comparable to Obsidian's garden adventure, but a peer rather than a pretender. I even prefer it in some ways, but they have such a different vibe that there's plenty of room for both.

Front Mission 2: Remake Delayed, Could Still Release in 2023

Back in March 2023, Forever Entertainment announced a June 2023 Front Mission 2: Remake release date, but the Nintendo Switch game is now delayed. It cited concerns about the quality and a desire to put more work into the title as the reason for the decision. It also noted while there is no new release date yet, the strategy game could still show up in Q3 2023.

Here is the full statement issued by Forever Entertainment regarding its decision to delay Front Mission 2: Remake:

As the premiere date for Front Mission 2: Remake approaches, we have made the decision to postpone the release of the game on Nintendo Switch. This decision was not taken lightly, but in collaboration with the development team, we want to ensure that we have sufficient time to add as many functionalities as possible while proceeding with proper implementation and tests, in order to meet your expectations for a modern-day remake.

We understand the anticipation surrounding Front Mission 2: Remake and the excitement you have shown throughout its development. Please rest assured that we are fully committed to delivering a polished and faithful remake of your beloved franchise.

While we are currently unable to provide a specific revised premiere date, we assure you that we are working tirelessly to complete the project as soon as possible, with the aim of releasing the game in the third quarter of this year.

Please stay updated on any development news by following our channels, including our social media profiles and Discord server.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Ahead of this decision, Forever Entertainment did show the game off. For example, new screenshots appeared back in October 2022. It is the second of three titles. The first remake already appeared. It is working on one of the third game as well.

Front Mission 2: Remake is in development for the Nintendo Switch, and it has a tentative Q3 2023 release window after being delayed.

Wo Long DLC

The first DLC pack for Koei Tecmo's Wo LongFallen Dynasty will be Battle of Zhongyuan. The DLC is set to release on June 29, 2023. It will add new stages, difficulties, enemies and a weapon type. The reveal included a key visual, however a price point has not yet been announced.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a historical-fantasy action title by Koei Tecmo, set in the legendary Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. After releasing back in March this year, Koei Tecmo reported strong sales for the title in their April financial report.

The historical battle of Zhongyuan was fought between warlords Cao Cao and Yuan Shao, who both appear in the main campaign of Wo Long. The key visual shows Cao Cao, as well as two upcoming characters. The designs for the new characters could suggest that the characters are Dian Wei and Xu Chu, two famed bodyguards of Cao Cao.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is immediately available on PC via Xbox Game Pass and Steam, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S. The Battle of Zhongyuan DLC is set to release on June 29th 2023. A price point has not been announced but you can follow the official twitter for more updates.

Evangelion Battlefields

The Evangelion Battlefields service will end on July 27, 2023, a little over three years after the mobile game debuted. For reference, it launched on April 2, 2020. The official website gives a brief explanation for why the game will end, with revenue seemingly to be the main reason. [Thanks, KaroshiMyriad!]

The Evangelion Battlefields site states that the development team worked hard since 2020 to provide a good gaming experience. However, after considering the current state of the game, the intellectual property, and profits, it made the decision to end service. It thanked the players for its long years of support, as well as promises to continue working on the game in the remaining two months to make sure that it's still a fun experience.

Items that require real-life currency will no longer be available from May 26, 2023. There also won't be a Battle Pass Elite for Season 20, which will run from May 26 to July 27, 2023. The game will leave the app stores at 12:00 PM JST of July 27, 2023, and then it'll end two hours later at 2:00 PM. Refunds will then be available from August 1 to September 30, 2023.

Evangelion Battlefields is a "cinematic battle action" and shooter game in 3D that focuses on Eva versus Eva combat. It is based on the Rebuild of Evangelion movie series. There were both PvP and PvE modes, and there wasn't much of a plot outside of the combat sections.

Evangelion Battlefields is available on mobile devices in Japan. It will end service on July 27, 2023.

Intelligent Systems will release a figure of Nohr Noble Corrin as she appears in Fire Emblem Fates. She is available for pre-order via Good Smile Company until September 28, 2023. Those in Japan will have to pay 28,600 JPY and can expect her in June 2024. Meanwhile, she costs $204.99 for those in North America and she'll come out some time in Q3 2024.

The Nohr Noble Corrin figure is a 1/7 scale one and she stands at around 255 millimeters in height. She holds her sword in her right hand and her Dragonstone in her left. It appears that she is in the middle of transforming into her dragon, as you can see the power swirling around her feet and making her cloak billow behind her.

Here are some more pictures of the Fire Emblem Fates Nohr Noble Corrin figure, as well as a trailer:

Corrin is not the first figure that Intelligent Systems produced. As a reminder, Intelligent Systems is the company that developed the Fire Emblem series. In the past, Intelligent Systems released figures of Lilina, Roy, and Veronica, who are all popular characters from Fire Emblem. Corrin is the protagonist of Fire Emblem Fates. You can only access the Nohr Noble class if you are playing the Conquest and Revelation routes, since Birthright will unlock the Hoshido Noble.

The Fire Emblem Fates Nohr Noble Corrin scale figure is open for pre-order until September 28, 2023.

One visual novel

One., a remake of the classic visual novel One: Kagayaku Kisetsu E, will come out on Steam on December 22, 2023. It'll be available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Nexton released the original game in 1998. Though there is a Steam page available where you can wishlist the game, it's unclear how much it will cost.

The remade version of One: Kagayaku Kisetsu E will come out for the 30th anniversary of Nexton, which is the company that developed the game. Since there is no warning on Steam, it likely will not have any erotic content, much like the PlayStation port. The original One: Kagayaku Kisetsu E for Windows PC was an adult visual novel.

One: Kagayaku Kisetsu E puts the player in the role of Kohei Orihara, who is a Japanese high school student. After the death of his father, Kohei becomes depressed and shuts himself in the Eternal World, which is a space inside of his mind. It becomes more and more difficult for him to leave, and there is a danger of being forgotten if you're stuck in the Eternal World. Through his relationships with the six heroines in the story, he starts to ground himself more in reality.

The game is an influential one, and Kinoko Nasu of Type-Moon specifically cites One as what inspired him to become a video game writer. Staff who worked on One would later go on to create Kanon under Key. Aside from its influence on other games, the story spawned a novel series, as well as two OVAs.

One. will come out on December 22, 2023 for Windows PC via Steam.

Good Smile Company kicked off WonHobbyG Spring with the reveal of multiple anime Nendoroids, with figures in various stages in development.

As usual from a WonHobbyG event, Good Smile Company announced a number of anime figures. On May 26, 2023 at WonHobbyG Spring, it showed off an array of Nendoroids from various anime series that are all in various stages of development. While some only showed up as concept art, like the My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 one, others are much farther along in the process. For example, the new Spy x Family Anya Forger figure is a painted prototype, which means the Nendoroid's orders could open soon.

Akito Yamada from My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 will become a Nendoroid. However, it's so early in development that only concept art appeared.

The "duke" from Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion will appear as a Nendoroid too. An unpainted prototype of Noah Voltaire Wynknight showed up.

We'll also eventually see a The Marginal Service Brian Nightraider Nendoroid. It appeared as an unpainted prototype.

There will be another Anya Forger Nendoroid. The Spy x Family daughter's painted prototype of her in winter clothing appeared. As it's this far along in development, we could see pre-orders open in the near future.

World Dai Star's Kokona Otori will become a Nendoroid.

So will Mitama from KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World. Like the Anya Nendoroid, this anime character is already showing up as a painted prototype, which means the figure's pre-orders could open soon.

A The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2 Nendoroid of Chise Hatori will join the Elias Ainsworth one that's already available to pre-order.

The Dangers in My Heart's Anna Yamada unpainted prototype Nendoroid showed up.

There's also a Mihari Oyama Nendoroid in the works, though only concept art of the figure of the character from the Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister anime showed up.

Mash Burnedead and Lance Crown Mashle: Magic and Muscles unpainted Nendoroid prototypes appeared.

The company also revealed a lot of figures from the series Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku and Bocchi the Rock.

Also, while he isn't an anime character, a Kamen Rider Nendoroid Nendoroid based on the Shin Kamen Rider appearance is coming eventually too.

All of Good Smile Company's WonHobbyG Spring 2023 Nendoroids are in various stages of development, and there are no release dates for any of these anime figures yet.

See Good Smile Companys New Hatsune Miku Figures and Nendoroid

Good Smile Company's WonHobbyG 2023 Spring announcements included three Hatsune Miku figures and one Nendoroid. They are all in various stages of development. For example, the Hatsune Miku Symphony: 2022 Ver one is furthest along, as it is a painted prototype. The other three all are unpainted figures, including the one of a more stylized Hatsune Miku appearing alongside the Sanrio character Cinnamoroll.

First, here's the Hatsune Miku Symphony: 2022 Ver one. It is a scale figure, though the announcement didn't note what scale she is. This means it's uncertain what size she'll be.

Next, here's Hatsune Miku with Cinnamoroll. For this one, her facial expression and hair are both designed to resemble his.

Finally, the Hatsune Miku Happy 16th Birthday release will appear as both a scale figure and a Nendoroid.

Figures of the Vocaloid appear very frequently. For example, pre-orders for a Digital Stars 2022 Version one just opened in Japan ahead of its December 2023 debut.

There's no release date yet for any of these Hatsune Miku figures from Good Smile Company. However, we'll likely see the Symphony: 2022 Ver appear first.

See the New Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Nendoroids and Figures

Four Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Nendoroids and Pop Up Parade figures appeared at WonHobbyG 2023 Spring. Good Smile Company is bringing two characters into the real world with its merchandise. Gabimaru and Yamada Asaemon Sagiri will be added to both lines. The Nendoroids appear to be further along in development, as those appear as painted prototypes. The two Pop Up Parade figures were unpainted prototypes.

First, here's a closer look at Gabimaru and Sagiri as Nendoroids. While none of his accessories are shown, she's wielding her sword.

Next, here are the Pop Up Parade figures of both characters. These are unpainted. As they are a part of Good Smile Company's "budget" line, we can expect them to cost around $34.99 at launch.

These aren't the first figures of the Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku characters to appear. Bandai Namco already announced SH Figuarts and Figuarts Mini versions of both.

There's no release window yet for the Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku Gabimaru and Yamada Asaemon Sagiri Nendoroids and Pop Up Parade figures. The manga is handled by Viz Media, while the anime is now streaming on Crunchyroll.

pokemon tcg paldea evolved expansion

The Pokemon Trading Card Game's Paldea Evolved set, out in June 2023, is an interesting one to analyze. After all, the first set of a new era tends to be preoccupied with the obligations of representing starters and reprinting staples needed for basic deck construction. The second set, though? There's a bit more freedom. A bit more intent. And a slightly clearer peek into the design team's priorities.

The cover stars of the set are Scarlet and Violet's dark post-game legendaries: Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu. Each can be found by collecting a bunch of stakes across the land. Was that a pain? For sure. Was it easier than the roaming legendaries of the past? Also yes.

We're honestly surprised to see them featured so soon, as the game's main campaign species feel like they have enough left to sustain a few more sets. But here we are! Legendaries inevitably have strong abilities, and there are definitely some usable moves in the mix with these four. And if you're wondering what the Paldea Evolved set is all about, the mechanics on each are fairly representative.

In addition to charging up benched pals, Chi-Yu ex serves as a counter to... well, not a mechanic, exactly? But high-level competitive decks often see the deck as a resource to be expended, chewing through cards as fast as possible to get even an ounce of board advantage. The threat, even potential, of something like Chi-Yu's Jealously Singe discard ability? It can move the needle a bit. The TCG has been, and continues to be, wary of ways to deck your opponent. So is this ability small? Yeah. But in the context, it's significant.

Chien-Pao ex is a great example of The Pokemon Company's efforts to make basic energy more desirable in the wake of the Lugia V meta apocalypse. Along with fellow Paldea Evolved addition Baxcalibur, Chien-Pao can make for a highly efficient mono-Water deck that recalls the days of Base Set Blastoise. The two get all your energy into your hand, then onto your Pokemon. Left in your deck? A consistent feed of handy Trainers.

pokemon tcg paldea evolved expansion

Paldea Evolved also really wants you to consider healing. Ting-Lu ex benefits from spreading around small amounts of damage to disable abilities. This can be paired with those who hit damaged foes a lot harder. Healing hasn't exactly been cool lately, as most viable attacks are doing 200 or more damage that recovery speeds can only dent. But these new cards? Maybe they'll start to move the needle. If only a bit. Then again, it also just printed a new Abomasnow, with a Freezing Disaster ability that prevents healing entirely! So we'll see.

And as for Wo-Chien? The Pokemon Trading Card Game has long featured cards designed to get better when you're losing, offering benefits to having more Prize Cards remaining. With Paldea Evolved, though, the quantity of these cards is enough to start seriously considering "lose to win" as a strategy. New options like Wo-Chien ex, Iono and Reversal Energy — along with intentional KO options like Forretress ex, truly might work. Is it worth the risk? We'll have to see how the metagame shakes out.

Two of these legendaries also target the bench with their attacks. This seems to be an effort to further justify Tera Pokemon, a card type introduced in the previous set making them immune to bench damage. It seemed like kind of a throwaway effect for such a centerpiece game mechanic, but it's possible it'll feel a lot more consequential when competitive decks are increasingly full of ranged attacks.

All four are ex Pokemon, making them counterable with new strategies that help cards without Rule Boxes. Does it feel a bit gacha-game-like to simultaneously create a problem and offer players fixes? Yeah, and perhaps that makes sense for a CCG too. But all four are still Basics, meaning they can benefit from Items like the new Bravery Charm that boost HP by 50 and change the math a bit for opponents.

It should be mentioned that, as much as the set itself is about these four legendaries, your experience with it could be very much shaped by one more presence in the expansion. Polarizing gym leader Iono is here, and in no fewer than three incarnations. Eager fans looking to acquire her in normal, full art and Illustrator Rare forms caused huge supply issues for the set in Japan. Will there be the same problem in the West, or will The Pokemon Company International overcompensate to an audience that's not as obsessed with Iono as the Japanese one? Only time will tell, we suppose.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game Paldea Evolved expansion will release June 9, 2023. For more Pokemon TCG coverage, check out our archive.

Minions Nendoroids Are on the Way

Good Smile Company announced Minions Nendoroids at WonHobbyG 2023 Spring. These will be its first figures of characters tied to the Despicable Me franchise. Figures based on Bob, Kevin, and Stuart are planned. All three appeared in unpainted prototype form at the event.

Here's a closer look at all three. In order from left to right are Stuart, Kevin, and Bob. While Stuart and Kevin's figures don't feature any specific poses, Bob is accompanied by a teddy bear. So we at least know one accessory that will come with one of the Minions Nendoroids.

There have been two movies based on these Despicable Me mascots so far. One is Minions, and the other is Minions: The Rise of Gru. As for the mainline series, there are three films.

Aside from characters from western animation, we also saw plenty of other Nendoroids come out of this event. For example, there's going to be a Nendoroid of Chiaki from Danganronpa 2. Hollow Knight Nendoroids are also in the works.

There's no release date for the Minions Nendoroids of Bob, Kevin, and Stuart, as the three are still in development.

Red Pillar locations in Zelda: Tears of the KingdomOnce you have made your way through the hot, harsh sands of the desert to Gerudo town, you'll be ready for a cold shower and a glass of ice water. Sadly, there is no rest for Link. After finding Riju in the desert, it's straight back to work remedying all the problems of the sandy wasteland. A quick bit of city defense later, and it's time to solve the mysteries of the Red Pillar locations in Tears of The Kingdom. A stone slab in the basement of Gerudo town hints at the locations of three Red Pillars in the desert, which is up to you to find, of course. Red Pillar locations in Tears of The Kingdom Thankfully there are only three Red Pillar locations dotted around the map, and they're not too tricky to get to. Although the sand in the desert makes everything remarkably hard to see, there are updrafts you can use to get above it all. These, along with the beams of light, are what you should be using to get around. To start the mission, I suggest you head up to the...

Tears Of The Kingdom Zant's Helmet GuideThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess gave us a strange and cool villain with Zant. And his presence lives on in Tears of the Kingdom thanks to the fact that his Helmet can be found. It's not the easiest of the classic armor pieces to find though. In fact, you'll have to brave the fiery section of the Depths to acquire it. But if you want to get Zant's Helmet in Tears of the Kingdom, this is how you do it. Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find Zant's Helmet First things first, before we go off to find Zant's Helmet you'll need the full set of Flamebreaker armor. We're heading over to the Death Mountain region of the Depths. That means it's going to be very hot and the Flamebreaker armor is the easiest way to shrug the heat off. So make sure you grab that before moving on. Screenshot by PC Invasion Once you can handle the heat, we're ready to go after Zant's Helmet in Tears of the Kingdom. We need to go over to t...

Tears Of The Kingdom Hero Of Time GuideThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features plenty of classic armor sets. But it's hard not to get particularly attached to the Hero of Time outfit. Link's classic attire from Ocarina of Time fits perfectly into this incarnation of Hyrule. And it's a set that's surprisingly easy to get. You don't even need to have the amiibo this time around. Here's how you can find the Hero of Time armor set in Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom: How to find the Hero of Time armor As I just mentioned, you could use the Ocarina of Time Link amiibo to get the Hero of Time armor. However, since you can only use it once per day, getting all three pieces is a pain. So, even if you do have the amiibo, this guide should still prove useful. The only tricky part of this hunt is that it requires some exploration in the Depths. If you've already explored a fair bit of the Depths, then all is good. But if you've yet to venture down there, you may find...

Tears Of The Kingdom FaroshThe elemental dragons were one of the most mysterious aspects of Breath of the Wild, with them simply roaming the sky seemingly forever. You needed to get some items from them to upgrade your equipment in the original game too. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom also features the elemental dragons, with their items being needed for upgrades once again. With the expansion of the world of Hyrule in this sequel, it can be a lot harder to find the elemental dragon that you're after, with each one having a dedicated area that they roam. Here's our guide on how to find Farosh in Tears of the Kingdom. Where to find Farosh in Tears of the Kingdom Farosh is pretty easy to find once you know where he roams in Tears of the Kingdom. Farosh's roaming location is in the south-west of the map, near the Gerudo Desert. Farosh starts at the red pin, then circles around roughly the blue, then yellow pin locations until the elemental dragon eventually reaches where the gre...

Tears Of The Kingdom Light Dragon GuideThe Light Dragon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a very tricky creature to find. Unlike the three other Dragons roaming Hyrule, there's a bit more going on with this one. Additionally it seems that making progress in certain quests can have an affect on its location. So if you're trying to find it unprepared, it can be a real pain. So we're going to run through where to find the Light Dragon in Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find the Light Dragon The Light Dragon is strange in comparison to the other three. Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra all stick to particular regions both on the surface and in the Depths of Hyrule. Of course, it's still tricky to find them at the best of times. But you've got a much smaller area to search than the Light Dragon who roams the entirety of Hyrule's surface. I have spent countless hours attempting to track the Light Dragon down to upgrade the Champion's Leathers, and it's n...
