The best Dragon's Dogma 2 mods and our wishlist

What are the best Dragon's Dogma 2 mods? It's early days for Dragon's Dogma 2, but the character creator demo released by Capcom weeks before the official launch has already sparked some interest from the modding community. If the other RE Engine games are anything to go by, there's going to be a lot to look forward to over the next few months.

Though we're disappointed to find that Dragon's Dogma 2 multiplayer isn't a thing, the RPG game being single-player only means it has plenty of modding potential. We've had a small snippet as to what we can expect from Dragon's Dogma 2 modders, and just for fun, we're also including a list of mods we'd like to see in the future.

One of the best indie soulslike games is back with a frosty sequel

Amid the many excellent 2D indie games that make use of soulslike exploration and combat, Odd Bug Studio's Tails of Iron is one of my personal favorites. Its beautiful art design and satisfying combat - especially in its boss fights - puts it up there with the likes of Blasphemous 2, Hollow Knight, and Salt and Sanctuary. I'm very excited, then, by the news that Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter will see the series make a triumphant return to Steam, along with its iconic narrator Doug Cockle, best known as the VA behind The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia and Bhaal in Baldur's Gate 3.

When I think of World of Warcraft right now, the word that comes to mind is 'stagnant.' With Dragonflight having run its course, feeling more like filler than an actual full-blown expansion, very little is pulling me back to Blizzard's mammoth MMO. The War Within still doesn't have an official launch date, and while Classic's Season of Discovery was a novelty for a while, it's not got that shiny new feeling anymore. genshin impact sprinting strategems

Genius Invokation TCG Heated Battle Mode: Sprinting Strategems will be a new Genshin Impact event that'll run from March 23 to April 8, 2024. As the name suggests, this is an event that centers around the Genius Invokation mini-game.

During this event, you can play the Sprinting Strategems mode. In this mode, you'll receive four Omni Dice and four random Elemental Dice when you first roll. The first Action Card you play will cost 2 fewer Elemental Dice, and switching Character Cards will always be a Fast Action.

Not only is this easier to manage your resources, but you can also remove certain Support Cards from your deck during this event. The "Katheryne" card, for example, will no longer be necessary, as the card's effect made character switching a Fast Action instead of a Combat Action.

Like previous Genius Invokation events, you will need to first reach Adventure Rank 32 at the minimum, complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III "Song of the Dragon and Freedom," and complete the World Quest "Battlefield of Dice, Cats, and Cards." This will unlock Genius Invokation and Cat's Tail for you. After the event starts, you can participate from the Invitation Board.

Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Heated Battle Mode: Sprinting Strategems event in Genshin Impact will go live on March 23 and end on April 8, 2024.

Aside from including various voice lines from Ryo Bakura and his counterparts, the ring also includes two tracks from the anime soundtrack, these being "The Impending" (迫りくるもの) and "Vague Apprehension" (胸騒ぎ.) In addition, the ring includes the fifth opening theme song of the original anime series "Overlap," that played between episodes 190 and 224 of the Millennium World Arc. The ring allows for the voice lines to be played at the same time as the three songs.

You can take a better look at the Millennium Ring toy replica from the Yu-Gi-Oh anime series here:

Similar to the ring, a replica of the Enemy Controller from Yu-Gi-Oh came out in November 2023, and it included over 50 voice lines from Seto Kaiba.

The hoodie also has a picture of Princess Peach on the back, as well as a "Thank you Mario! But our princess is on another adventure!" tag on the bottom. This tag also includes a pixellated picture of Mario and Toad.

The Princess Peach collection of clothing likely ties into Princess Peach: Showtime, which will come out on March 22, 2024 for the Nintendo Switch. You can check out our review of it here. It is an action-adventure game in which Princess Peach becomes the main protagonist for the first time since Super Princess Peach, which came out in 2005. mcdonald's game

McDonald's Japan is teasing a new game called Hirumakku Game, with "Himage" as the shortened form of the name. There is no information on the game as of yet.

The post shows a GIF of the name of the game in question, with the "ru," "kku," and "mu," part of the name smaller so that it looks like it's just saying "Himage." Incidentally, Hirumakku could mean eating McDonald's during lunch (with hiru meaning lunch and makku a shortened version of McDonald's). Himage could mean either "idle game" or "a game you play when you're bored." Hima means bored.

McDonald's first posted about making a game on March 20, 2024. The Tweet in question simply stated, "I think it's about time we made a game." Some commenters on the Himage post have joked that McDonald's moves very fast, as it's only been a day since it publicly decided to make a game. While there is virtually no information on how Himage will play, McDonald's made a post asking if anyone played Itotooshi. Itotooshi first came out in 2005. It's kind of like Flappy Bird, except you're playing as a string that you're trying to get through the hole in a needle. Himage might be something similar to Itotooshi.

McDonald's Japan is making a game called Hirumakku Game, or Himage. More information on it will come out in the future. Last year, McDonald's also made a game focusing on the Grimace character.

amano serafi

V&U, a Vtuber agency, posted that it terminated its contract with one of its livers, Amano Serafi of Solstice. According to V&U Official, this is because Serafi broke her contract.

In the statement, V&U stated that Serafi told the company on February 28, 2024 that she wanted to break her contract and refused direct communication. She would communicate with the agency through her lawyer. V&U explained that it never made this public because it wanted to continue working with Serafi. However, "the recent events have been damaging to the other talents currently working with V&U," and so it terminated its association with her. Serafi's membership closed after the announcement and V&U is working to refund Super Chats and YouTube membership fees that Serafi received since December 2023.

Reactions to this announcement have been very negative. People noted that V&U should have chosen to focus on supporting new talents rather than trying to "go after" Amano. The reason behind the negativity seems to stem from a Reddit post in which Serafi stated she graduated from V&U in late February 2024 due to mental health issues. After her birthday stream, she had to take a week off to recover mentally, during which time her managers talked to her. She mentioned that she did not feel like her managers were supporting her or giving her analytics during their weekly meetings, and wanted to graduate peacefully and early. Management then asked her for over $100,000 in order to leave early.

Serafi's Twitter has been inactive since early February 2024. Many people have been comparing this situation to recent fumbles Anycolor made at Nijisanji. Some have even commented that it's precisely because of the extreme backlash Nijisanji EN got over its handling of Selen Tatsuki's termination, as well as the negative reactions to a "leaked" contract from the company, that V&U decided to make this announcement.

As of March 20, 2024, Amano Serafi is officially no longer part of V&U. V&U will refund all memberships and Super Chats that people sent in or paid since December 2023.
