A 1/144 revival of a plastic model kit of the original 1980 Gundam is available on display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. The kit should be available for consumers to purchase and build some time in the future.
While the kit itself will allow us to build a model very similar to the original 1980 Gunpla, there are some improvements to the 2024 version. For starters, the parts are of higher quality and have color to them, making them easier to recognize and removing the necessity of painting. The parts also click together, reducing the need of glue. This makes the Gunpla a lot more approachable for even amateur hobbyists. Some more hardcore hobbyists may dislike this change, as some builders paint their own models to personalize them.
It is also a way to see how Bandai's technology has advanced since the 1980s. An ad for the set mentions this as well, stating that the Gunpla does not contain a miniature Amuro, but it contains Bandai's 45 years' of technological experience and progress. This revival kit is to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam, which came out in 1979.
The 1980 Gundam Gunpla kit is available as a display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. Other kits you can check out there include an Armored Core 6 Steel Haze Model kit and a Yu-Gi-Oh Winged Dragon of Ra.

In an online investors' Q&A with Nintendo, representatives have confirmed that the Switch 2 successor will continue to use the Nintendo account system. The entire Q&A is available in Japanese on the Nintendo website.
In total there were nine questions asked, all of which focused on Nintendo's current plans for the Switch 2. One of the questions brought up the Nintendo account system, which is how Nintendo intends on maintaining communications with consumers. The Nintendo account system was in development even before the Switch's release, and Nintendo plans on using it for the long-term. This implies that the Nintendo account system will be around even after the Nintendo Switch 2 becomes obsolete.
Nintendo also gives insight on its current and future development plans in other questions. While Nintendo will announce more games in the June direct, it has been diverting its resources on training new employees and working on the Switch 2. This may be why it feels like some of the recent Nintendo announcements seem a lot less exciting than before. Most of the questions focus on how Nintendo plans to continue selling the Nintendo Switch, as well as whether or not the Nintendo Switch 2 will affect sales of the current generation.
More information on the Nintendo Switch 2 will come out in the future.

Sunrise and Bandai Namco Filmworks opened a new website titled Sunrise Robot Laboratory. The studio will use this site to promote its classic robot anime titles outside the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.
The site's opening also has a specific focus on Aura Battler Dunbine. The title has also been frequently featured in the crossover game series Super Robot Wars.
Sunrise has also uploaded a new experimental video titled "Aura Battler Dunbine Side L" on its YouTube channel. This video includes remakes of the show's opening and ending animations, along with one of its renowned scenes.
According to the Japanese press release, the "L" in "Side L" can refer to "Legacy" or "Legend." Sunrise will later publish a "Side R" video based on the same show. With meanings like "Respect," "Refine," and "Revolution," the upcoming "Side R" video will showcase new weapons designed by Sunrise and new music from contemporary artists.
The Sunrise Robot Laboratory website is available in Japanese language. The first two titles that have appeared on the site are Aura Battler Dunbine and Invincible Super Man Zambot 3. Sunrise and Bandai Namco Filmworks will gradually add more titles in the near future.
