Tower of Fantasy AFK farm players are being trolled

Tower of Fantasy AFK farm players trying to earn rare drops while idle in the anime game are being trolled by some of their fellow adventurers. The Genshin Impact competitor launched to dramatic success, but has been plagued by Tower of Fantasy cheaters since its release. Thankfully, developer Hotta Studio has now banned and publicly named and shamed Tower of Fantasy hackers, and appears to be clamping down on such troublemakers.

One slightly more reasonable way that players are attempting to circumnavigate the intended systems is by AFK farming - that is, finding ways to repeatedly kill enemies for rare drops using passive effects that allow them to continue earning items while "away from keyboard." One particular trick uses the Tower of Fantasy character Zero, who can spawn floating orbs that hover around them and deal damage to nearby enemies. These can be used to stand near to an enemy spawn and just automatically kill mobs as they appear.

Players trying to get the Chaser Tower of Fantasy vehicle - imagine a floating sci-fi segway - have been attempting to get their hands on a particularly rare drop required to craft the mount. This has led to crowds of players all standing around in one spot, effectively teaming up to burn their way through enemies as they spawn in hopes of claiming the rare component.

Star Citizen ship size isn't everything, says developer

Star Citizen ships can be quite the contentious subject - the digital space vessels are sold for real money in a game that has been in the Alpha stages of development for around 6 years, with some believing that throwing potentially thousands of dollars at a game with no set release date to be a foolish endeavor.

I personally think that you can spend your money however you want to, but am concerned that I will always be trumped in Star Citizen, no matter my expertise or time played, by someone with a bigger wallet and a bigger ship.

Huge World of Warcraft Auction House bug fix will take

A game-breaking World of Warcraft auction house bug is leaving players unable to buy or sell items in the Blizzard MMORPG. The game-breaking issue has caused woes for many players who have reported losing hundreds of thousands of in-game gold when the auction house automatically purchased multiples of items, or in the reverse case are unable to buy items despite the auction house reporting that there are thousands available for sale.

World of Warcraft community manager Kaivax has responded to multiple forum posts clamouring for assistance, acknowledging the issue. "We're aware of a bug that is causing some items to get stuck in invalid listings," Kaivax says, "This is a priority for us to fix, however, we expect the fix to take 2-3 more days. We'll let you know as soon as the fix is deployed."

Responses to the thread have been a mixture of relief that the issue has been publicly acknowledged and despair that nothing was said about it for almost four days, with the first issues cropping up early in the week. Some fans also ask whether Blizzard will be doing anything to resolve the damage that has been dealt to the game's economy and progression systems during the last week.

Destiny 2 Fortnite skins leak ahead of potential crossover event

Destiny 2 and Fortnite skins - not really something I'd put together in my head without prompting, but considering Epic Game's behemoth has included everything from John Wick to Dragon Ball, I suppose nothing is off the table. Two separate leaks from data miners have pointed us in the direction of this crossover, although the extent of the potential event isn't clear just yet.

Ikki Unite by Sunsoft

Japanese game developer and publisher Sunsoft announced its return after a long period of hiatus. It will produce a new game for PCs while porting a couple of its classic games to current-generation platforms.

Sunsoft will release a new game titled Ikki Unite. The roguelike action game will feature a peasant uprising with multiplayer co-op of up to 16 players. The company has set up a Steam page for the game and opened applications for a closed beta test. The other two titles, Mr. Gimmick! and Ufouria The Saga, will be ports of the original NES games released in the early 1990s.

Sunsoft is also aware of the global audience as it publishes an English press release. It also uploaded another video separate from the Japanese version, where the mascot VTuber Sunsoft-nosuke explains the new games in English.

Sunsoft is also best known as the original publisher of the 1988 NES game Blaster Master. While it still owns the IP, Inti Creates worked with the company to reboot the franchise with the Blaster Master Zero trilogy. The new games are available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Ikki Unite will appear exclusively on PC via Steam by the end of 2022. Mr. Gimmick! Special Edition and Ufouria The Saga will both come to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Winter 2022 and Early 2023, respectively. A physical demo version of Mr. Gimmick! will be available at Gamescom 2022 in Germany.
