PCGamesN Tuesday, June 17, 2025 3:58 PM Dead by Daylight has hosted crossovers with just about every fictional universe possible, horror or otherwise. In a recent interview with the development team of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles and some staff members of the original 1997 title, the director of the remaster, Kazutoyo Maehiro, said that the game has been in development since 2018. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
As part of the talk, the interviewer asked how did this upcoming definitive edition of Final Fantasy Tactics came to be, 28 years after the original game and 18 years after the War of the Lions PSP port. The project has been in the works since May 2018. Maehiro recalls how it all started with a Niconico Douga stream showcasing the original Final Fantasy Tactics, to celebrate the second part of the "Return to Ivalice" Alliance Raids.
During the second week of the streams, Maehiro recalls playing FFT for the first time in a while, accompanied by the original game's Director Yasumi Matsuno, and FFXIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida. Maehiro thought that the game was really interesting, but because of its age there were elements, such as the UI, that hindered his experience. This led him to want to relaunch the game in a state that could be enjoyed by players nowadays. However, Maehiro wasn't capable of putting his time into the Final Fantasy Tactics remaster until development of FFXVI came to an end.
Additionally, Director Kazutoyo Maehiro confirmed that Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will not include the extra content added for the War of the Lions PSP port. The director said that the development team preferred to make a Final Fantasy Tactics that new players in 2025 could enjoy, and decided that basing it on the original release would be more appropriate.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on September 30, 2025.

Crunchyroll announced it picked up the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid film that will debut in Japan on June 27, 2025, and the movie will appear in English as Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved. There's no exact release window for the worldwide release yet. However, we do know there will be no dub and the theatrical release will only feature the Japanese voice acting with English subtitles.
We do have some general idea of what the movie will cover. Prior announcements already confirmed it is part of the same continuity as the anime adaptation. Someone who watched that will then see everything pick up with Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna, and Iruru living together as a family. Kanna's father wants to take her away. So a big part of the themes will involve the definitions of families and cooperation between everyone who's come together so far as a result of Kobayashi and Tohru meeting in order to help bring balance between the Chaos and Order factions of dragons.

Atlus announced that when the Persona 5: The Phantom X mobile spin-off launches, we'll also see Ren "Joker" Amamiya appear as a playable character. He'll be able to be acquired, though the announcement didn't note if he'll be part of a limited time gacha banner. There will also be an event based on the mainline game.
So far, two screenshots appeared showing Joker and this event based on the console game in Persona 5: The Phantom X. One is a more cinematic sort of image of Joker with his arms spread out. In the other, we see original hero Wonder and his allies Lufel and Motoha Arai speaking to Ryuji "Skull" Sakamoto during a story segment.
Here's a gallery showing both of those images. Because the game already launched in places like China, we know he uses daggers and knives as a weapon. He'll also have Arsene as his Persona, just as he did in the original Persona 5.

Square Enix announced the next two figures in the Final Fantasy Adorable Arts collection, and they are FFIX members Zidane Tribal and Vivi Ornitier. Both will join the lineup on November 22, 2025. They'll cost 7,480円 (~$52) each. Both are in the Japanese e-Store, but the US shop doesn't show them yet as a result of President Donald Trump's tariffs.
While these types of figures aren't as posable as, say, a Nendoroid, they do come with extra parts and accessories for different looks. Zidane comes with items needed to make it look like he's about to attack with his daggers or like he's taking a knee to bow. His set doesn't include any extra face plates. However, Vivi comes with open and closed eye face parts, extra arms, and a staff for three possible poses.
Here are how the figures will look when they arrive later this year:

Good Smile Company announced that it will once again sell seven Disney Twisted Wonderland character Nendoroids. Azul Ashengrotto, Idia Shroud, Kalim Al-Asim, Leona Kingscholar, Malleus Draconia, Riddle Rosehearts, and Vil Schoenheir will be back. This means we'll once again get a chance to get the Housewarden characters from each of the in-game dorms. However, due to licensing and other issues, only the Japanese Good Smile Company store is selling them and someone might need to resort to an auction site or source in Japan to acquire one. They are all expected to debut in December 2025.
Each of these characters is identical to their original release. This means there'll be about three face plates for each one and a number of accessories based on their appearances in the game and manga. Prices vary, depending on the complexity of the figure and included extra features.
Here is the full price list for each of the Disney Twisted Wonderland Nendoroids, as well as direct links to the product pages.
As a note, because of the rarity and difficulty associated with finding them outside of Japan, expect reseller prices to be quite high.
Here are some official images of all the returning Disney Twisted Wonderland characters, in addition to a larger image of all the figures Good Smile Company shared. The characters appear in alphabetical order, with Azul Ashengrotto, Idia Shroud, Kalim Al-Asim, and Leona Kingscholar in the first row of the gallery, then Malleus Draconia, Riddle Rosehearts, and Vil Schoenheir in the second.

Disney Twisted Wonderland is available to play on mobile devices outside of Japan and Viz Media handled the English release of the manga. The anime adaptation is also on the way in 2025 and may be on Disney+ outside Japan. However, none of the Nendoroids officially launched in other regions. There are 22 of them in total, with some of the most recent ones being Diasomnia characters Lilia Vanrouge, Sebek Zigvolt, and Silver. The official English site does still keep track of them, despite the limited availability.

A text-based adventure linked to the real world of FNAF: Secret of the Mimic? Yes, please. Moon.exe is a mysterious program installed on all H.E.L.P.E.R terminals across Murray's Costume Manor. Tied directly to David Murray and the Mimic, Moon.exe is important not only for its lore, but for the secret ending.
Here's how to complete Moon.exe to get the best ending in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic. Sadly this conclusion cannot be a reality, for we all know where the Mimic ends up.
Table of contents
What is Moon.exe?
![]()
A programme on Murray's Costume Manor's H.E.L.P.E.R security terminals, Moon.exe is a text-based horror adventure game you can access during Secret of the Mimic at any time. You may struggle to complete it, however; there's a small matter of 25 collectibles you need to find and place inside Moon. The collectibles take the form of presents, little gifts scattered around the Manor, left behind by Sun. Finding these and placing them inside the Inventory Tube System sends them directly into the game. Transferred into code, these gifts turn into new options in Moon.exe, indicated by the yellow text.
Not all gifts are relevant to progressing through the text-based adventure, but you need these to achieve your goal: To get the Glitched Permission for Secret of the Mimic's secret ending. I interpret the cryptic story in Moon.exe to be through the eyes of the Mimic, who's copying different people (wearing their "masks"), and living through David Murray's memories as he starts in a form of prison, and ends at David's bedroom. I believe Moon is Edwin and Sun is Fiona, David's parents.

How to repair Freddy, Bonnie, and Foxy masks

You need to find three items to fix each iconic FNAF mask. Two are part of the 25 collectibles, but the last can be found inside the game, before you enter the Old Cabin.
Bowtie
![]()
Find and take the Bowtie off the ruined statue of the wedding couple (the Murrays) in the Dark Forest Ruins.
Sewing Kit
![]()
Find the locked door in the South Hall and input code 26294. You need Creator Permission to unlock the Cafeteria. This will take you to the other side of the shutter, next to the elevator that leads to Jackie in a Box. The Lil Sewing Kit is on the table in this shuttered area.
Pirate Foxy Puppet
![]()
![]()
Head back to Big Top Showroom after completing this area. Restore power at the Overflow machine so you can play the carnival games again. Go to the clown game and break the left side of the clown's teeth. Don't break all teeth otherwise the face will spin to a new set. Pass the game stand to freeze the game. Crouch-walk through the clown and hit the red button behind the game to enter the secret backstage area that leads into the off-limits Showroom.
The Mimic spawns in this backstage area. You need to use the generator downstairs and return to the entrance to take the lift. We've found purposely alerting the Mimic and hiding in the locker helps get through this section faster. You need Repair Permissions to enter the Showroom. The Mimic will patrol here too. Pull the lever to lift the moon and clouds set pieces so you can crouch-walk underneath them. Then take the list up and unlock the Staff Door. Through the Staff Door is one of the collectibles you need for Moon.exe. Opposite this door however is a Creator Permissions door, with the Pirate Foxy Puppet inside

The storybook in David's Room goes: "He bounced the moon, spelled his name in the stars, and ran through the snow with the silent hunter." You need to assign the three David toys, gifted to him on his birthdays, into the correct chests. The answer is:
Enter the Closet and use the Upgrade Machine for the last time. Once your Data Diver upgrades with the Glitched Permission, you may reach the end of the game on New Game+ (as the White Tiger Doll cannot be obtained in your first playthrough), and initiate Parachute.exe.

The long-awaited Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's collab is finally here, bringing us new content, including an entirely new killer, Springtrap.
As a new addition to the vast roster of DBD killers, Springtrap naturally poses a new danger players will need some help fighting against. Thankfully, Springtrap has as many advantages as he has flaws, so here's our guide to countering this classic FNAF character.
Table of contents
Springtrap counter guide
Springtrap comes with numerous abilities that make him play sort of like a combination between The Huntress and The Xenomorph. He can move around the map using doors (as can the survivors, but more on that later) and sports a mighty hatchet that he throws at enemies, albeit not at the frequency The Huntress does it. In melee, he's a bog-standard killer with not much going on, meaning most of his gameplay is going to revolve around the axe and the doors.
Survivors can use the doors against him by travelling through them across the map, while also utilizing security cameras to see where Springtrap is on the map and potentially outline him for other players. This is a massive advantage for the Survivor team, though other gameplay maneuvers are necessary, so let's get into them.
Never look at him directly
![]()
In case the killer is using his own unique set of perks, he will have Phantom Fear equipped, which is a fantastic perk all-around. Whenever you look directly at Springtrap while within his Terror Radius, your survivor will scream and be revealed for several seconds, allowing him to easily figure out where you are even if you're not directly in his line of sight.
The best strategy here, then, is to not look straight into him, especially when he's coming close. Try to use the camera to maneuver around and use his red line of sight light as a guide to avoid triggering the perk and leaving yourself vulnerable.
Hide and run among as many obstacles as you can
![]()
While similar to The Huntress, Springtrap's Axe is far quicker and more powerful and needs to be removed for the Survivor to regain access to healing. The caveat here is that, unless removed, Springtrap will always see where his axe is, i.e. always know where you are. Therefore, it's crucial you use as many obstacles to your advantage as possible so as to make Springtrap embed his axe into the environment (it will be unavailable to him for a while) or to miss entirely.
Walking in pairs at all times is also advisable so you can remove the axe out of each other more effectively. The axe is quite difficult to remove, though, and the likelihood of your going down before succeeding in getting it out is quite high. Have your partner be nearby at least to get you off the hook if nothing else.
Use the security cameras to keep track of Springtrap
![]()
The security cameras are one massive advantage Survivors get when playing against Springtrap. Though he can move around using the Security Doors, the Survivors can take a look at the map through the camera system within the Doors themselves, allowing them to keep track of Springtrap's movements and even reveal his aura to the entire team.
The downside of this tactic is Springtrap is notified when he's being watched, so he'll likely make a run for the doors as soon as he notices. This means you'll have to leave and fast so as to avoid getting grabbed (if Springtrap passes through a Door while you're inside, you'll immediately be grabbed).
The cameras also have limited batteries, meaning you cannot spam them the entire time non-stop. If the batteries run out, you'll also lose the ability to move through the Doors, massively crippling your mobility. Springtrap, on the other hand, isn't limited by lack of battery power, so be mindful of when and how you use the cameras.
Assign roles to each team member and be efficient
![]()
This is usually the best strategy for most killers in the game, but particularly effective against the slower ones like Springtrap. He can be looped for ages by agile Survivors and generally be slow in how he manages the map. If you spread out and all know what you're doing in your particular field, Springtrap will be too torn apart to be able to effectively put you all down.
His movement through the Doors is a bit less intuitive than other mobility powers of other killers, and their positioning is usually predictable (near generators), allowing you to play around them. Utilizing proper efficiency and task assignments, alongside the killer-specific tactics I've outlined above, should get you a quick and easy win.
Failing to use his abilities and powers against him will prove a major detriment, however, so give him a few spins yourself to see how Survivors react to each of his actions.

Wall-runners and jetpackers, I'm sorry. Activision just confirmed there won't be any of that sort of movement in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
In a new episode of the CODPOD (Call of Duty Podcast), CoD senior director of studio communications Stephanie Snowden broke the news that will sadden some and excite others. I'm unfortunately included in the former.
![]()
"I can confirm no wall-running, no jetpacks, but it will feature an evolution of [Black Ops 6's] omnimovement," she said. "Boom, there you go."
Man, I'm bummed. CoD has been burning me out bigtime over the past few years and omnimovement was a shot in the arm in BO6, at least in the first few months. I was hoping a return to some different movement mechanics, à la wall-running from Black Ops 3 or jetpacks from Advanced Warfare would be in the cards for BO7. But, alas.
Thankfully, CoD leaker @TheGhostofHope has provided some hope (hehe) for the movement fans, though, saying there won't be traditional wall-running but the game will have "wall jumping" instead, so that may be included in the omnimovement "evolution" teased by Snowden. This info is unconfirmed.
Snowden had the responsibility of also shooting down hopes of a Blackout battle royale revival. The BO7 reveal trailer showed characters flying into a big map with wingsuits, which the first (and many think to be superior) CoD BR included. Nope. That's just from the co-op campaign, according to Snowden.
The rest of the podcast included a lot of hints and winks towards CoD news coming "later this summer," which will hopefully be another Call of Duty Next event where Activision will host content creators to play and tease the new game.
Black Ops 7 still doesn't have a release date just yet, but odds are it will fall on a Friday at the end of October or beginning of November. Stay tuned.

Date Everything! is officially out on all platforms, and I'm dying to know who you're romancing first. There's no limit to how many characters you can fall in love with, but I'm sure you've got your favorites, and I do too.
There's really something to love about every single character, even if you only love to hate them, so picking favorites is a tough call with this one. And you can go back to romancing every single one of them soon, but first, let's talk about who we love just a bit more than the rest.
![]()
The first character I really fell in love with was Curt & Rod, the duo behind the curtains you find all around the house. Their banter is endlessly charming, and I genuinely laughed out loud at a lot of their dialogue. They've got impeccable chemistry, and I spent a charge every single day to build my relationship with them. If I had to choose one character, it'd be them, although it does feel a bit like cheating since they're a duo.
Sophia the safe, hidden up in the attic, is another one of my favorites. She reminds me a lot of Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals (same voice actor, so that makes even more sense now) and Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil. She's scary and intimidating, but also incredibly gorgeous and intriguing. Along the same theme, I feel like I have to mention Nightmare, the literal embodiment of nightmares, whom I can see a lot of players loving. Betty is another character who feels a bit similar, although she's got a real sweet side once you get to know her.
I'll admit, the moment I recognized Drysdale's voice during our first conversation, I knew he'd be one of my favorites, too. I can't help but fall in love with Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3 over and over again, no matter what form he takes, apparently. At least I can romance everyone else around the house, too, so I don't have to feel as bad about it.
![]()
I'm also a sucker for the characters with emotionally driven stories, like Eddie & Volt. I certainly didn't expect to get a bit teary-eyed while playing this game, but there's a specific scene involving these two that genuinely moved me.
I'm not really sure whether I love him or love to hate him, but Doug is another iconic character who comes to mind when I'm thinking of favorites. He seems like a real jerk at first, but there's actually a lot more to him, depending on how you respond to his dialogue, and he's also got some of the best genuinely funny lines. He even makes you play the worst game of Sudoku in the world, and it's as annoying as it is hilarious.
There are also lots of characters I enjoyed having as best friends, like Beverly, Dorian, Zoey Bennett, Reggie, Freddy, and Holly. Admittedly, I did try to romance Dorian the door, but it hasn't gone well, so I guess you could say he shut things down between us.
![]()
I could rave about every single character in this game endlessly, but now I want to know what you think. So, Destructoid, which Dateables are your favorites? Are they any of the ones I mentioned here, or someone I missed? There's something to love about all 100 characters you can meet around your house, so let us know your thoughts down in the comments!

Marvel Rivals' season two is coming to a close soon, but not without one last update for players to enjoy.
When the next update goes live at about 3am CT on June 19, it will add the Venom's Bubble Pop event, where players can unlock a pink Venom skin, hilariously adorable Jeff the Landshark emote, and a free Future Foundation skin for Human Torch.
This is likely the last update for the game before season three begins on July 11. The marketing for the new season should begin soon, with in-game lore hinting at Jean Grey/Phoenix joining the roster as the next hero and Knull taking center stage as the season's new villain.
Season three will likely bring sweeping changes to hero balancing, new team-ups, and more, alongside new events, a new battle pass, and new storyline missions for players to progress the game's overarching plot. There are a few solid changes to some heroes in this update, though.
Keep on scrolling to find out everything new and different coming to Marvel Rivals on June 19, and get ready for the new season coming in just a couple of weeks.
