Epoch released a Super Mario toy that has you stacking the various characters' hats on a tower, which you can adjust for difficulty if needed. The toy costs 1980 JPY ($13.55) after tax in Japan, and you can play it with up to four people.
The Super Mario cap stacker toy comes with twelve cards, eight caps, a stand, and a bottom for the stand. If you want to make it a challenge, you can flip the bottom of the stand to make the tower wobbly, which will make it harder to adjust, move, or place the hats on the tower.
Epoch offers three ways to play the game. The simplest way is to place hats on the tower depending on which card you pull. For example, if you pull a Wario card, you have to place Wario's hat on the stand, and if you knock over the tower, you lose. The second way to play is to set the tower to wobbly mode and take turns putting hats on the tower. Whoever manages to stack the most before they topple over wins. Finally, the third way is similar to Twister in that all players draw cards, and take turns using their cards to direct another player to place the hat on the tower.
The difficulty of the game seems to come from the shapes of the hats. The guys' hats have a wide top and a smaller bottom, which means they don't fit together well. Meanwhile, the girls have crowns. So it looks like there will be some measure of strategy in the game from the order in which you place the hats.
The Super Mario hat stacker toy is available in Japan. You can check out some other toys that are based on Super Mario from this list here.

Bungie loves its ARGs. We got some good ones with Destiny, and Bungie has gone all out with yet another ARG to drum up hype for its shooter game, Marathon. Here's everything you need to know about the Marathon ARG and how it got solved.
Table of contents
What is the Marathon ARG?
![]()
ARG stands for Alternate Reality Game. It's an immersive storytelling technique that involves getting players to interact with the story using real world media (websites, social media, images) to solve puzzles and discover more clues to progress. For Marathon, things kicked off on April 3, when the Marathon X/Twitter account started posting cryptic videos and images related to the game.
The entire Marathon ARG took around six days to solve, and it required Twitch streamers, YouTubers, and players to all come together in a coordinated effort. It's honestly pretty impressive, so let's track this whole thing step by step.
The first clues
On April 3, we started seeing weird videos and images on the Marathon X account. Over the next couple days, the account posted more cryptic tweets, and players put them together to reveal the MIDA logo from the game itself. It also revealed the phrase, "Truth persists beyond their walls."
After the MIDA stuff was revealed, players found a link to a website simply called Our Silence, which redirected to a Twitch-linked overlay requiring streamers to authorize access. Twitch streamers would now be able to start streaming in the Marathon category with this overlay, and the viewer counts on these streams would determine how fast the new clues could be decrypted for more hidden messages.
Twitch works together
Once the Marathon streams reached 10,000 concurrent viewers, we unlocked the first clue "+714 Frontier." This would later be used for a satellite alignment site required to decode another message.
In addition to that, streamers Aztecross, Skarrow9, and MrRoflWaffles continued deciphering the clues, which involved breaking down ASCII art and discovering that they were actually made up of terminal commands which formed a Discord server link. A Traxus Global satellite map website was also uncovered, and this is where you'd input your coordinates to get to the next step.
Discord contracts
For folks who joined the secret Discord server, they were also able to complete contracts by interacting with a bot named Null Transmitter. These contracts mainly consisted of fairly tricky tasks, including translating hexadecimal codes, which would reveal phrases like "The stars align for those who persist."
As more contracts were completed, additional lore documents were also unlocked to help flesh out the world and lore of Marathon. For instance, there were documents detailing the in-game conflict between the corporations Traxus Global and Sekiguchi Genetics.
Finally, the remaining coordinates for the satellite adjustment were also revealed: -978 Transit, and -413 Core.
Satellite alignment
![]()
Over on the Traxus Global satellite map website, players needed to upload a DAC by clicking the button in the bottom right corner. In order to solve this step, the website required at least 2,000 players to upload an official .png image that had been uncovered in the Discord contracts.
Once that was done, players could then input the coordinates that were previously unlocked and start aligning the satellites. After aligning the satellite array, this triggered a countdown to April 12, as well as a Save the Date trailer that, well, teased the date for the proper game reveal trailer.
Results of the Marathon ARG
So to sum up, we got our Save the Date trailer letting us know that the proper Marathon reveal would be happening on April 12. We also got over 35 pages of lore and corporate documents detailing the corporate and political machinations of the world from the Discord contracts. All of that information has been put together in a neat Google Doc for your perusal.
The ARG was launched through the perspective of MIDA, an anti-capitalist faction that seeks to reveal corporate secrets from large companies like the aforementioned Traxus Global and Sekiguchi Genetics. It sets the stage for what's to come in Marathon, and also gives us an idea of the main conflicts that we'll be dealing with in the game.

Why is Time to Kill (TTK) an essential factor in Warzone?
Most of the fights in Warzone take place in medium to long ranges, and how quickly a weapon can knock an enemy down becomes the deciding factor in successfully wiping squads. This also aids in increasing your chances of ending up in the top 10, if not emerging victorious, and that's why Time to Kill (TTK) plays a crucial role in Call of Duty, especially Warzone.

The once-terrifying Ghasts have now had a change of heart with Minecraft's new Happy variant. Through this update, you'll have the chance to approach this mob without worrying about being blown to bits. Here's how to find and ride Happy Ghasts in Minecraft.
Table of contents
Where to find Happy Ghasts in Minecraft
You can discover Happy Ghasts in the Java Snapshot version, which allows you to test unique features like the April Fools 2025 Launcher feature. Unfortunately Bedrock users, you'll likely have to wait until the mob's official release later this year.
There are two ways you can find a Happy Ghast: Use a Happy Ghast Spawn Egg or nurture a Ghastling. The former is the quickest approach, where you can utilize Creative mode's egg feature to spawn this creature instantly. But if you want to discover them naturally, you must raise a Ghastling.
![]()
How to raise a Ghastling in Minecraft
Ghastlings derive from Dried Ghast Blocks found in the Nether's Fossil structures. You can also craft these blocks with one Bone Block and eight Ghast Tears.
![]()
Whether you've found or crafted the Ghastling, you can nurture it by waterlogging. To do this, remove a block from the ground, place the Ghastling inside, and throw water on top. It takes about 20 minutes to grow fully, producing a green sparkly icon similar to Bone Meal growth. It's also possible to speed things up by throwing snowballs at it.
![]()
When the Ghastling finally spawns, it will follow players within a 16-block radius. Make sure to stick close to your little baby Ghastling to reach the next stage of your parenting journey.
How to ride Happy Ghast in Minecraft
The latest Minecraft Snapshot offers various harnesses to use for Happy Ghasts rides. You can make these harnesses using these resources:
When the Happy Ghast is nearby, place the harness to start riding it. Up to four players can ride this creature, and the user who hops on first will gain control of it. The mechanics are relatively similar to those of horses, where you can utilize the arrow keys to navigate. While the Jump key lets you fly higher, the Sneak button lets you dismount.
![]()
How to lure Happy Ghasts
Like many Minecraft mobs, you can lure the Happy Ghast with a specific object. To get its attention, hold a snowball in your hand.
![]()
You can throw it to lure the creature even more if it is too far away. It may hurt the Happy Ghast, but fortunately, it won't panic like some creatures. In return, you'll gain a unique ride for your Minecraft adventures, expanding your options beyond horses and pigs to something even more exciting and special for your journeys.

Banning books is not a new concept. Powerful governing bodies and grassroots organizations have long advocated for the censorship or outright banning of books based on certain criteria. Attempts are hotly contested, typically by readers, schools, libraries, and anyone else who sees reading as an unassailable right.
Books continue to be challenged, even today. With that in mind, I've put together a list of banned books that are not only recommendations but also important literary milestones. There are way more books out there under constant threat of being ostracized, but I wanted to give a smattering of personal choices.
In no particular order, here are 10 banned books everyone needs to read.
1984 - George Orwell (1949)
![]()
Why it's so important: I'll start with one of my favorite books of all time, as I'm sure it is for many reading this. Orwell's nightmarish vision of a totalitarian state that places its citizens under constant surveillance resonates as much today as it did when it was first published more than 75 years ago.
Why it was banned: 1984's political and social themes are almost certainly one reason the book has been deemed controversial over the years (what corrupt power would want its populace to be exposed to a story that holds a mirror up to corrupt power, after all?). But its sexual content is certainly another reason for it being banned.
Tropic of Cancer - Henry Miller (1934)
![]()
Why it's so important: Not to be confused with playwright Arthur Miller (I've made that mistake), Henry Miller's classic text is an autobiographical account of the writer's time in France. Its explicit themes mean it's often considered a key moment in discussions on censorship and social controversy.
Why it was banned: If Orwell's 1984 was challenged (partly) for its sexual themes, then Tropic of Cancer was borderline pornographic. Even when I read it a few years ago, I could see why it would have been shocking to 1930s audiences. It's a wonderful novel, but it may still be considered crude, even today's standards.
The Satanic Verses - Salman Rushdie (1988)
![]()
Why it's so important: The attack on Salman Rushdie in 2022 is proof of the extreme impact a novel can have on the world. I read the book several years ago, curious as to why it was so controversial, but all I found was a beautifully crafted story of magical realism.
Why it was banned: The novel has been deemed "blasphemous," largely due to its depiction of the Islam prophet Muhammad. Rushdie himself was issued a fatwa (essentially a death warrant) by the then-Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. While much of the controversy has since died down, the attack on the author shows that some are still unwilling to forget.
Lord of the Flies - Sir William Golding (1954)
![]()
Why it's so important: Basically, you can thank Golding for any story you come across about an ad-hoc society that eventually descends into chaos. Everything from Stephen King novels to The Maze Runner to that one classic episode of The Simpsons has been inspired by Lord of the Flies.
Why it was banned: Despite Golding winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1983, his classic book has been the subject of much controversy over the decades. Some of the issues raised show concern for its depictions of violence and profanity, as well as some of the discriminatory language used in the story.
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee (1960)
![]()
Why it's so important: You'll be hard-pressed to find a stronger novel about racial inequality than Lee's iconic 1960 story. It's the quintessential tale about discrimination and disparity in the criminal justice system that, sadly, seems more relevant today than ever. Unsurprisingly, it won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
Why it was banned: Why, indeed? To Kill a Mockingbird has been challenged so many times that it's difficult to keep count. According to some sources, the book is often banned for its use of racial slurs and sexual themes. Not because it depicts a racist society that's prepared to condemn an innocent man based on the color of his skin? Not that, surely...
The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood (1985)
![]()
Why it's so important: Over the last few years, Atwood's dark tale about a society that treats women as subhuman has experienced renewed interest among readers. The novel was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1986, though it lost to Kingsley Amis' The Old Devils.
Why it was banned: A pattern emerges in the discussion on banned books. Sexual content and curse words are typically the reasons given, rather than them being stories that hold a mirror up to a cruel society run by the very people that benefit from said cruelty. The Handmaid's Tale, however, does appear to have been challenged precisely because of its feminist discourse. Go figure.
Frankenstein; Or, the Modern Prometheus - Mary Shelley (1818)
![]()
Why it's so important: At once recognizable, Shelley's legendary novel is one of the most important gothic stories in history. Adaptations may play fast and loose with the source material, but the 1818 original is not only considered the nexus of the sci-fi genre, it's also gone down as one of the most influential horror books ever written.
Why it was banned: It's hard to imagine something like Frankenstein being the subject of a banning. However, the central theme about the titular doctor essentially "playing god" seemed to be a hot button issue at the time of publication. It's also been banned in South Africa due to it being classed as "obscene."
Slaughterhouse-Five - Kurt Vonnegut (1969)
![]()
Why it's so important: Telling the semi-autobiographical story of an American soldier who frequently travels across time and space, it's considered something of a classic in anti-war rhetoric and a key text in post-modernism, while also alleging to be an important analysis on post-war trauma. So it goes.
Why it was banned: There's always a deeper reason behind a book being banned other than obscenities and sexual content. In the case of Slaughterhouse-Five, it was the depiction of homosexuals, in particular, it's said to be one of the first novels to acknowledge gay people among the victims of the Holocaust.
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley (1932)
![]()
Why it's so important: While Yevgeny Zamyatin's 1921 novel, We, is said to be a defining moment in dystopian fiction, Huxley's Brave New World made a huge impact in its own right. Orwell may have envisioned a society where people are controlled by fear, but Huxley imagined control through pleasure, which some may argue is more chilling.
Why it was banned: It has been argued that Brave New World glorifies drug use and sexual promiscuity. Suffice to say, it's been challenged by authorities for many years, though it's got a long way to go to be among some of the most banned books of all time.
The Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger (1951)
![]()
Why it's so important: The Catcher in the Rye's critique of a "phony" society that's prone to superficiality resonates with many readers, particularly younger people who see protagonist Holden Caulfield as the poster child of teenage rebellion. There's a reason it's sold more than 65 million copies since being published.
Why it's been banned: It's one of the most censored novels in America, with it also being briefly banned in some schools for its Communist leanings, not to mention its use of vulgar language. However, Salinger's classic is perhaps most notorious for its association with Mark David Chapman, who was said to be holding a copy when he was arrested for killing John Lennon in 1980.
Honorable mentions
![]()
There are way too many banned books to mention here, so I'll add a quick list of some more that I would personally recommend.

2025 has brought hit after hit, from Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Shadows to Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds. While triple-A giants typically dominate the Game of the Year race, the surprise contender Blue Prince, a brilliant indie puzzle game, might just claim the crown.
Although the title hasn't even been released yet, gamers across Twitter/X have quickly praised Blue Prince, with one post declaring, "Pretty sure I've played the GOTY for 2025, and its name is Blue Prince." Having experienced its brilliance firsthand during my review, I can confidently say it has all the qualities of the year's best. It's a refreshing, innovative addition to the puzzle genre, where you must constantly reshape your thinking.
![]()
At the heart of it all lies Blue Prince's distinctive approach to navigating the vast Mt. Holly manor, as the layouts and puzzles change on a daily basis. Because of this unique approach, Blue Prince has now taken the top spot on Metacritic's Best Games This Year, surpassing hits like Split Fiction, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Kingdom Come Deliverance: 2.
Blue Prince sits at a comfortable 92 out of 100 rating based on reviews from multiple gaming outlets. What's even more spectacular is that Blue Prince marks Dogubomb's first project, a remarkable achievement for an indie game developer so new to the scene.
I'm intrigued to see how the review scores will evolve once Blue Prince debuts on April 10. The player base is likely to be substantial as it will be available in both the Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus catalogs from Day One. Depending on the reception, it could even result in a higher score.
While Blue Prince is emerging as a strong contender for GOTY 2025, a few titles could still claim the title. By the end of April, the star-studded Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be released, followed by Doom: The Dark Ages in May. And, of course, we can't overlook the highly anticipated debut of Grand Theft Auto 6, a game so formidable that even Split Fiction's director, Josef Fares, believes it will be tough to rival for the GOTY title. Additionally, the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 games is poised to introduce a few potential hits of its own. We'll just have to see how the rest of the year unfolds.

In Schedule 1, you can imbue your product with a wide assortment of special effects to make it more appealing to your clientele. Many of these effects can lead to some wacky results, but none are as straight absurd as Anti-Gravity, which does exactly what you think it does.
As funny as it might sound, enabling your product to defy the fundamental law that holds the universe together is easy. So let's make Isaac Newton spin in his grave and make some anti-gravity drugs, shall we?

How to make Purple Cheese in Schedule 1
![]()
You only need two ingredients to mix a strain with the Anti-Gravity effect. The first is good old OG Kush. Albert Hoover has what you need, so call him if you don't have any OG Kush seeds on hand and grow a few plants. You don't have to use advanced lighting or pots; unrefined OG Kush will suit your needs just fine.
Next, you'll need some Mouthwash. You can buy Mouthwash for $4 a bottle from Gas Mart once you've reached Hoodlum 3 rank, so head to whichever one's closest to your current location and grab as much as you need.
Once you've got OG Kush and Mouthwash, combine them at the nearest Mixing Station. You'll end up with Purple Cheese, a product with the Anti-Gravity and Balding effects. Mixing this strain will also help you complete the Mixing Mania mission since Purple Cheese sells for $64 a pop.
How to give yourself the Anti-Gravity effect in Schedule 1
![]()
"Don't get high on your own supply" is a wise adage, but Purple Cheese and its variants are the rare exception to the rule. Watching your clients float through the sky like dry-eyed Kryptonians is one thing, but giving yourself the ability to reject your earthly tether is another.
To give yourself the Anti-Gravity effect, scroll over to the Purple Cheese in your inventory and hold the left mouse key to smoke it. If you plan on making extra cash by dealing after curfew, I'd recommend taking Purple Cheese first. Once it hits, you can scale roofs and walls with the greatest of ease, making it very easy to avoid the cops if they spot you out after dark.

It was originally dismissed as an April Fool's joke, but the Adventure Time collaboration in Fortnite is now confirmed to be real. Epic Games teased the crossover on April 8 with images of the popular Adventure Time characters.
The question now is, what specific Adventure Time skins and cosmetics are coming to Fortnite, and when will they be released?

All confirmed Adventure Time skins in Fortnite
At the time of writing, we know of two confirmed Adventure Time characters included in the Fortnite crossover. Thanks to a recent teaser from Epic Games depicting the two characters, we know Jake the Dog and Finn the Human are both making their way to the game in some capacity, most likely as skins.
While Jake and Finn are officially confirmed, it's also been leaked by popular data-miner FNBRIntel that Princess Bubblegum and Marceline the Vampire Queen will also be included in the crossover. Once again, we can assume these two characters will also receive skins and other cosmetics.
We have no details on what the skins and cosmetics could look like for the four main Adventure Time characters. Epic will likely have to change the dimensions of some of the characters, namely Jake and Finn, as both are short and would be nearly impossible to shoot at in a normal match of Fortnite. It's possible Jake's stretching ability from the TV show could make its way into Fortnite to give the character a little more height and width, but nothing is confirmed at this time.
We also have no information on the additional cosmetics the skins could come with or how much the skin bundles will cost in Fortnite. But we can likely expect some gliders, back blings, and other cosmetics that relate to Adventure Time to show up in some way.
When do the Adventure Time skins release in Fortnite?
When the Adventure Time crossover was originally datamined on April Fool's Day, many leakers assumed that it would launch with the next Fortnite update. But the date for that update was earlier today, on April 8, and no crossover appeared.
Fortunately, along with the teaser images that were released on social media, Epic Games let us know exactly when players can get their hands on the Adventure Time skins. According to Epic, the crossover goes live on Friday, April 11.
It's unclear exactly what time the crossover would go live, but if the Adventure Time skins are simply going into the item shop, we can expect them to arrive when the shop resets. This occurs at 8pm ET/5pm PT every day. Crossovers have been known to work differently than regular item shop resets, though, so we'll have to wait and see if Epic decides to drop the crossover skins earlier than that on Friday.
We'll update this guide when the Adventure Time crossover is live in Fortnite and list all of the cosmetics available to purchase.
