PCGamesN Thursday, May 22, 2025 5:45 AM The more I think about it, rather than the combat or the boss battles, it's the downtime that really defines the greatest JRPGs. When I remember Final Fantasy 8, I picture strolling through Balamb Garden; in FFX, it's those tranquil little sequences in Besaid and Kilika. Everyone loves going to the tavern in Monster Hunter. The entire Persona series is based on hanging out with your friends. Originally released in 2012, Fantasy Life is the epitome of the pastoral RPG. And now, more than a decade later, Fantasy Life is suddenly back with a totally new sequel that's already earned tens of thousands of players and close to immaculate reviews. PCGamesN Thursday, May 22, 2025 5:08 AM Is Metaphor ReFantazio on Game Pass? Some of Atlus' most successful games have launched on Microsoft's subscription service, including Persona 5 Royal and more recently Persona 3 Reload. It's unsurprising, then, that the studio's latest turn-based RPG, Metaphor ReFantazio, could also make an appearance. The love child of multiple Atlus IPs, including the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games, Persona, and Digital Devil Saga, Metaphor ReFantazio synthesizes the best the studio has to offer into its grandest adventure yet - at least, our sparkling Metaphor ReFantazio review reckons so. This bold new RPG marks a departure from the schoolyard antics we're used to in Atlus' most popular releases, plonking us in the middle of a fierce post-medieval election campaign for the crown. PCGamesN Thursday, May 22, 2025 5:07 AM A new, significant update for the latest AMD Radeon graphics cards has just been announced to help the company directly compete with the AI-powered performance of Nvidia DLSS 4. Due later this year, FSR Redstone (as it is currently codenamed) looks to be a serious effort by AMD to improve how games look and perform on its hardware, thanks to several new features. AMD FSR technology has only recently seen a major upgrade with FSR 4 which, as our AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT review shows, provides a huge improvement in image quality compared to older FSR upscaling and frame generation. With Redstone, AMD looks keen to take things up a notch, making sure that its best graphics card contenders are able to effectively compete with Nvidia's GPU technology across the board. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, May 22, 2025 5:46 AM ![]() Which sounds like the more intense experience to you, dear reader - "Butterfly's Guidance" or "Awakened Puppet"? No, this isn't me workshopping titles for my latest range of exotic fragrances. I'm referring to the new easier difficulty modes Neowiz will add to Pinnochio-powered soulslike Lies Of P alongside the game's Overture DLC this summer. The difficulty modes will arrive in a free Lies Of P update. The standard difficulty will be "Legendary Stalker", which honestly I think is a bit of a letdown, after "Butterfly's Guidance" and "Awakened Puppet". It barely sounds like an exotic fragrance at all. Possibly you could peddle it as some kind of feline musk. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, May 22, 2025 4:46 AM ![]() Borderlands boss Randy Pitchford submitted an-all timer entry into the pantheon of neoliberal thirst tweets earlier this week, telling a player concerned about a potential $80 asking price for Borderlands 4 that "if you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen", before telling an anecdote about how, when he were a lad, he used to lick the fleas from unwashed goats for quarters to play Bubble Bobble, or something. This went down about as well as you'd expect, prompting Pitchford to yesterday follow-up with a clip of him on a panel talking about a potential price increase in, wait for it, much more sober and considered terms. So, in the interest of not only reporting on Pitchford when he says something incredibly stupid (although, lets be real, only because it's related, I'm still muckraking here) here's the clip. |

Destructoid, is it just me, or are there way too many MMOs launching next month than there should be? As it feels like I look over the already busy June calendar of releases, such as the Switch 2, there are a handful of new MMOs launching that I thought were possible.
I've been looking over the calendar, and three already have struck me as big MMOs all trying to gain a large, fledgling community at the same time while competing with other big June releases. It feels a bit overwhelming if I'm honest.
To start, we have Dune: Awakening, which will have delayed early access starting June 5. It recently had a small beta that left many players concerned about the upcoming release, but it's still a big MMO based on a large IP that's launching at the same time the Switch 2 and Deltarune come out.
Following that, we have the indie MMO Bitcraft, which looks like if you took a basic survival crafting game and gave it Runescape-like elements with the freedom of Minecraft where players can build out towns and empires across the continent with their friends or clans.
Then we have Chrono Odyssey, an MMORPG that caught me off guard, and that is testing its world for new players next month with a CBT. It looks pretty breathtaking, even if I don't have a clue what it's about.
Not to mention, we also have Palia and other MMOs constantly churning out updates, new quests, it feels a bit overwhelming to have all these big time sinks launch at the same time, and I feel like I'm missing a couple smaller ones that I'll likely remember the moment I publish this article.
Doesn't it feel like a bit too much? Maybe the MMOs will pull a New World and flop after the first month, but it does all feel a bit overwhelming as an MMO fan trying to decide what I want to invest in. I guess I'll do what I usually do and wait to see which game is best designed for blacksmithing. I'm all about making those profits selling crafted gear, after all!

Traits are one of the essential parts of your character progression in Verse Piece. Traits boost your damage and increase your stats, while some allow you to unlock weapons that make leveling a breeze. Find out which traits to go for when rerolling with our Verse Piece traits guide down below!
Verse Piece Trait Tier List
![]()
The above tier list ranks all Verse Piece traits from best to worst based on how much they increase your damage and stats overall. In general, higher damage multiplier values give you more DPS than flat Special and Sword stat bonuses. Defense stat bonuses are exponentially stronger if you pair them up with a race such as Contractor.
How do Verse Piece Traits Work?
In Verse Piece, traits multiply your damage no matter what Weapon, Spec, or Fruit you are using. This increase in damage becomes much more noticeable when you boost them with the right trait passives. Most traits in Verse Piece increase your stats as well. Some traits give you titles, like the Honored One, while others, such as Zenin and Heavenly Restriction, are used to acquire Maki and Toji weapons.
Complete Verse Piece Traits List
How to Get Traits in Verse Piece
![]()
You can reroll traits in Verse Piece by paying five gems to the Traits Reroll NPC. You can find them on the Frost Town island. There is a safety feature when rerolling that requires you to confirm if you want to reroll Legendary, Mythic, or Exotic traits, so reroll without worries. You can see your current trait in Verse Piece, the damage multiplier, and the stat points it gives you in your character menu.
How to Store Traits in Verse Piece
In Verse Piece, if you want to save one of the traits you rolled for later use in getting a weapon or a spec that requires it, you can store it in your trait storage. Keep in mind that you first need to unlock trait storage slots by using the Trait Storage material.
![]()
You can purchase Trait Storage from the Adventure Shop on the Merchant Island or trade for it with someone. Later, you will want to have at least one trait storage slot because it allows you to save your current trait before rerolling.
Verse Piece Trait Progression
When you just start out in the Verse Piece world, try to get traits like God-Like or Spiritual because of the stat boost they provide. For the mid-game, Zenin and Heavenly Restriction boost your damage while allowing you to obtain legendary-tier weapons, so go for them. However, later on, Mythic and Exotic tier traits are the way to go if you want to stay competitive in Verse Piece.
![]()
Honored One is the best Mythic trait because of the title you get with it, while Rage Revenge offers slightly more damage. Your end-game goals should be Monarch, Rejected Zenin, and the Betrayer, as they are the best traits in Verse Piece.
This is it for our Verse Piece traits guide. If you are looking to claim some freebies, including free Race Rerolls and Storage, then check out our list of Verse Piece codes.

Healweed and Vitalweed are two important resources in Fantasy Life i that will need to be found quite early in the game.
Once you reach the main island, you can find both of these items relatively easily. However, the items are not marked on the map, which makes it slightly confusing for the players. The job gets easier if you know where you need to look. The two shrubs have similar appearances, but you can tell which one is which.
How to find Healweed in Fantasy Life i
Healweed is pretty easy to get. Once you reach the main island in Fantasy Life i, look out for green-colored weeds that can typically be found in grassy areas. I have found them all over Eternia Village and Capital of Mysteria, so they're not that hard to get. They're also available in Faraway Island and Ginormosia once you get access to those regions.
Picking up the item also doesn't require any kind of special equipment. Just get close to the plant, and you can pick it up to add to the inventory. This particular alchemy material is also required to complete the "A Painkilling Herb" request. The request requires you to provide three Healweed in exchange for three SP Potions and 400 Dosh. Both resources have plenty of use in the long run, so make sure to collect as much Healweed as possible.
![]()
How to find Vitalweed in Fantasy Life i
Vitalweed, just like Healweed, can be found all over the main islands. I have found it to be more common in Capital of Mysteria compared to Eternia Village, and they typically grow more near the edges. They have a duller color, but are larger than Healweed (they have a blue color in inventory, but greener appearance in the wild).
You can buy Healweed and Vitalweed from in-game stores as well. Both of these items cost 30 Dosh, so they're not that expensive. If you require them in large amounts, it's better just to spend your Dosh. Both items are required later in Alchemy to make healing items, so it's always beneficial to have them in your inventory.

The early patch notes for BO6 Zombies Season 4 have revealed some exciting content coming up for the players, and the Grief mode is making its return.
This unique mode is pretty different from other LTMs from previous seasons. It's a blend of PvEvP experience where players participate as teams and get involved in indirect combat. This guide will provide you with all the vital information required for you to master the upcoming mode in Season 4.
Table of contents
How will the Grief mode work in BO6 Zombies?
The Grief mode is a 4v4 competitive mode with the objective for teams to outlast their opponents. The mode will be available on all five Zombies maps, and players won't be directly contesting against one another. Instead, they will have to strategically capture different zones on the map, which will help them to outwit and outlast their opposition.
The two teams will be representing Director Richtofen and S.A.M., respectively, and they will be guided accordingly. Both teams will be dropped on either side of the same Grief Arena. Team members won't be able to eliminate each other, but they can obstruct the opponents by melee attacks, body blocks, or more.
![]()
BO6 Zombies Season 4 Grief arena explained
The Grief Arena will be an incredibly chaotic place for all players, as it will be filled with hordes of undead. The arena has an open environment in Season 4, and the required doors will be marked for the players to use. Downed players can be revived by their allies, but the revivals can be delayed with different tactics. Any eliminated enemies will be revived automatically at the end of the third round.
Combat will take place across multiple rounds, and players can join in before Round 10. There will be some similarities with the standard Zombies modes, as players will come across Essence and Salvage. However, Salvage belongs only to those who manage to pick it up first.
Once a Capture Zone appears on the map, players will have to stand on it to occupy it. Once done, it will apply a random debuff on the enemy, causing grief in the process. This job isn't going to be easy with zombies and your enemies trying to disrupt your attempts at every possible stage.
What is Grief in BO6 Zombies Season 4
![]()
Once you capture a zone, it will apply certain debuffs to your enemies. Here are all the possible griefs that will be available in the mode.
All Grief arenas in BO6 Zombies Season 4
11 Grief Arenas will be added to the game at the launch of Season 4.
The task will be pretty simple: survive by eliminating the zombies, and capture zones to cause grief to your opponents. The team applying the most grief will be declared the winners.

Dandelion puffs and cotton and among the most important resources you'll get your hands on in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time's early game. Although you'll find more advanced materials later, dandelion initially serves as a crucial component for armor and weapon crafting.
Table of contents
How to make Dandelion Cotton in Fantasy Life i
Making Dandelion Cotton requires starting or changing to the Tailor Life. If you didn't start as a tailor, you can change your Life through the Guild Office shortly after advancing partway through Fantasy Life i's Chapter One storyline. Once you become a tailor, you can make one Dandelion Cotton for every three Dandelion Puffs you have on hand.
![]()
Alternatively, you can purchase some from the Eternia Village General Store for 80 Dosh. Although it's relatively inexpensive in small amounts, buying dozens or hundreds of this resource will quickly eat up your cash.
Where to find Dandelion Puff in Fantasy Life i
Creating Dandelion Cotton requires getting your hands on Dandelion Puffs. You can purchase this resource from the general store for 30 Dosh per item or harvest it in the wild around Eternia Village. In particular, you're looking for small plants with a white puffball on top.
![]()
Although these aren't guaranteed to give you Dandelion Puffs every time you forage them, the odds are much higher than with other plant types. Similarly, harvest other plants usually gives you various weeds and flowers rather than Dandelion Puffs.
How to use Dandelion Cotton in Fantasy Life i
Dandelion Cotton is a crucial resource in the Tailor and Blacksmith Lives. In particular, you'll need it to make the following armor sets, among others:
Many early game Life armor sets will need Dandelion Cotton in some capacity. Even if you upgrade them, they'll often have Dandelion Cotton and other required ingredients. Having some on hand at all times will help you be prepared for anything.
You'll also often use Woven Straw Fabric, Dandelion Cotton, and other similar materials for creating decorations as a Tailor. At first, you'll primarily make rugs and carpets, with additional options available as you progress through your playthrough. That way, if you prefer customizing a house over adventures in the wild, you'll at least know to have this material readily available.
