Path Of Exile 2 had an incredible Early Access launch last December, but the honeymoon period is clearly over.      Escape From Tarkov now has custom weapon skins thanks to EFT Arena's battle pass

Escape From Tarkov has never been one to chase live service trends. Its position as the king of extraction shooters and reputation as one of the most realistic, hardcore FPS games has served it well enough. However, its spinoff Escape From Tarkov Arena today rolls out its first ever battle pass, which - thanks to its connection to the main game - brings custom weapon skins to EFT for the first time.

Driveloop Survivors turns Mad Max into a chaotic, top-down horde shooter

The mesmerizing hordes, huge lineup of characters, and flashy weapons of Vampire Survivors make it one of the greatest bullet hell games we've ever seen. Many have tried, with mixed levels of success, to emulate its addictive chaos. Driveloop Survivors is the latest, and as the name suggests, it puts a vehicular, Mad Max-esque twist on the formula. Blending an Art Deco aesthetic with apocalyptic environments and barrages of flashy weapon effects, it's now available on Steam thanks to its early access launch.

tokimeki idol

Tokimeki Idol will no longer be available for download from May 16, 2025. The official X (formerly Twitter) social account for the game will also become inactive. This means the Tokimeki Memorial spin-off game, which only appeared in Japan, will be completely gone starting next month.

Though Tokimeki Idol ended service in January 2019, the offline version of the game is still available to download. Currently, only new players on iOS can download the game, whereas you have to have installed it in the past to get it for Android. After May 16, 2025, however, the game won't be available in the mobile storefronts, even if you previously downloaded it. Users who've already gotten Tokimeki Idol won't be affected, as the game is offline anyway. So if you're on iOS and are interested in the game, you should download it before it goes away forever.

Konami also reminds people that it won't provide any support after May 16, 2025. Should anything go wrong with your game after that date, you'll need to figure it out on your own.

Tokimeki Idol is based off the highly influential dating sim series, Tokimeki Memorial. The game came out in March 2018, but it ended online service less than a year later in January 2019. Like similar games in the genre, you can choose an idol out of fifteen possible choices and, as their producer, help them to achieve their dreams of performing on the big stage.

Tokimeki Idol is available on mobile devices, though you need to have installed it in the past if you want to get it now on Android. After May 16, 2025, the offline version will no longer be available in shops. However, you can still play it after that date if you have the game on your device.

nijisanji nui store

Anycolor will open its first physical Nijisanji Nui store with Vtuber merchandise at the Yokohama Vivre. Its grand opening will be on April 25, 2025. So far, only one Japanese location is confirmed for now, according to the official Anycolor press release found at PR Times.

The items you can get at the Nijisanji plush merchandise include designs from the Niji Puppet and Niji-Nui lines of goods. Advance sales of Niji Puppet photo goods will also be available at the store. These acrylic stand keychains and pins feature the dolls of Kanae, Kuzuha, Kenmochi Touya, Tsukino Mito, Hyakumantenbara Salome, and Hoshikawa Sara. If you buy these in advance at the Nijisanji Nui store, you'll only be able to buy a single item. So if you want more than one, you'll have to wait until the items appear in the official online shop.

As the Nijisanji Nui store doesn't have a website yet, it's hard to say what items will be available at launch. In the photo announcing the grand opening, we can see plush versions of ROF-MAO (Kagami Hayato, Kenmochi Touya, Fuwa Minato, and Kaida Haru) and Ayakaki (Kisara, Kozue Mone, Lunlun, Shiga Riko, and Tamanoi Nana). Like with the photo goods, you'll likely be able to buy goods other than simply the plushes.

Here's a closer look at the first pieces of Nijisanji Vtuber merchandise Anycolor will be selling at this location.

These sorts of items can be bought online, for those who can't get to Japan or this particular location. Even a Nijisanji English official site is open with both digital and physical types of Vtuber merchandise inspired by performers.

The Nijisanji Nui store will open at Yokohama Vivre from April 25, 2025. This will be a permanent fixture in Japan, unlike other temporary pop-up shops.

holowitches fubuki lamy

Shirakami Fubuki and Yukihana Lamy will be joining the roster of holoWitches, which is an alternate universe hololive multimedia project revolving around magical girl versions of the hololive VTubers. This comes after Sakamata Chloe left Magical Girl holoWitches when she graduated in late 2024.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for holoWitches has uploaded the character reference sheets for both Fubuki and Lamy as well. Fubuki is a fox holo with a very inquisitive personality. She's naturally adept and always puts her all into everything she does, though she still maintains a playful spirit. Despite her tendency to do what she does, she's also very considerate about other people.

Lamy is a snow holo who is very serious, which means she usually plays the straight man to the others. In reality, though, she likes to be spoiled. Though she knows that the world isn't all good, she still wants to believe in the beauty that lies in it, as well as in humans. She loves humans, her friends, and Japanese sake.

Magical Girl holoWitches is a multimedia project that Cover started in 2024. Content includes anime, manga, and live-streams. Aside from the new Fubuki and Lamy, VTubers like Houshou Marine, Amane Kanata, and Sakura Miko are also a part of this project.

More information on Magical Girl holoWitches, as well as content like the official comic, can be found on its official website.

Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion Soundtrack by Bandai Namco Sound Team

Marvelous shared a new statement on social media confirming that Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion, like the original game, will involve Bandai Namco Studio Sound Team working on the soundtrack. The team as a whole also shared a statement on the title and its goals for the music. The concept this time will play off "organic and inorganic" for the songs about the futuristic mech title.

Here is the Bandai Namco Studios Sound Team statement about the Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion soundtrack:

"The Bandai Namco Studio Sound Team returned to create music for this title as well. We brought our varied strengths and experiences to the table to contribute to bringing this world and story to life.

Drawing from the concepts of 'organic' and 'inorganic,' the music incorporates rock, classical, and electronic sounds in tandem with more traditional and mysterious elements. It has been an exciting and enjoyable experience to work on this project while watching the gameplay develop into something more and more captivating every day."

You can hear some of the Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion soundtrack in the first trailer, which came up during the April 2, 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 Direct.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urhYgrGmqsM&ab_channel=NintendoUK

These aren't the only recent development updates on the game. First, Marvelous shared a statement from Creator and Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda. That was followed by a note from Mechanical Concept Designer Shoji Kawamori. All of these are coming up on social media.

As a reminder, we did know about this sequel for quite a while ahead of its reappearance. Marvelous announced it in May 2023. More details then came up a year later in May 2024.

Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion will come to the Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on September 5, 2025. You can find the first game on the Switch and PC.

Minecraft Map Appears in Japanese Textbook

A Minecraft map has been featured in the 2025 edition of a Japanese mathematics textbook. The map in question is called Traditional Japanese House (or Machiya Kunpudo in Japanese). It was created by Team-KYO and is available in the Minecraft Marketplace. As such, it can be found in practically every version of the game for players to explore.

As the name indicates, the map is a reproduction of a Japanese-style machiya wooden townhouse like the ones found in Kyoto, Japan. The map has been praised for its capacity to clearly depict lines and planes in space through its use of tatami mats, pillars, and paper sliding doors within the Japanese-style rooms that appear in it.

The Minecraft map was used in the opening page for Chapter 6 Spacial Figures of the Japanese junior high school textbook "Mirai e Hirogaru Math 1," published by Keirinkan. The publishing house believes that incorporating Minecraft into the educational setting of a classroom textbook will help students become more familiar with the material they are studying. Even more so when considering how popular the video game is amongst elementary and junior high school students.

The popular sandbox video game has been used in Japan to engage with a younger audience in the past, with a Minecraft book teaching children how to clean up being released by Kadokawa back in March 12, 2025.

Minecraft is readily available for Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

The bachelors and bachelorettes of Stardew Valley

Romanceable characters are a staple of the cozy life-sim genre, and Stardew Valley is filled with choices when it comes to possible marriage candidates. Taking six bachelors and six bachelorettes and narrowing it down to just one to wed is no easy task.

Even if you have a preference for men or women, there are still six people to choose from in each category—and a surprise additional option in Krobus, even if he won't join you in holy matrimony. That's a big responsibility, so who do you choose?

To make things a little easier all around, here's a ranked list of every bachelor, bachelorette, and void-sent housemate you can pick from in Stardew Valley, using their loved gifts and post-marriage gifts to the player as factors.

All Stardew Valley bachelors, ranked

The bachelors of Stardew Valley

There are six bachelors to choose from in Stardew Valley. I wouldn't deem any of them a catch in real life, with character flaws aplenty, but they each have their perks.

6. Sam

If you want a man to cook you dinner or be thoughtful about gifts they give you, then Sam isn't a good choice. You'll only get instant Pancakes and ordered-in Pizza from him after you're married, and his other gifts are things he "found rolling around in the back of a drawer". Gee, thanks, I guess.

If you can look past that, he's pretty easy to romance once you've completed the Vault Bundle and gained access to the Desert because he loves Cactus Fruit.

5. Shane

Yes, Shane might be the town drunk. Yes, he might make empty promises about quitting drinking. However, both of those things can be ignored and should be if you want to get some blue Chickens for your farm.

Plus, as one of the two town alcoholics (and the only romanceable one), Shane is easily wooed with Beer purchased at the Stardrop Saloon for 400 Gold.

4. Elliott

The good thing about Elliott is that he's not the hardest to romance because he loves Duck Feathers and Lobster. Sure, neither of these are 'easy' to get, but they're not the hardest either.

Elliott is let down by his post-marriage gift offerings, which include coffee and various fish-based dinners, but only on rainy days. On the plus side, he does give the player a bottle of Wine on Winter 28 every year after marriage, but that hardly makes up for the rest of the year.

3. Harvey

By rights, the town doctor should be the obvious choice for the ideal marriage candidate, but Harvey is difficult to win around because of his high standards for loved gifts. He will gladly take Truffle Oil or Coffee, neither of which are easy to get.

He's also somewhat let down by his post-marriage offerings. If he's home all day, he can offer a Complete Breakfast, and he might cook for you if it's raining, but that's about as far as his generosity goes.

2. Sebastian

Sebastian is everyone's favorite resident emo boy, so it might be surprising that he comes in second here. However, his post-marriage gift offerings are disappointing, including various Mines-based resources and occasionally some Coffee.

Sebastian has a memorable schedule and is usually found in the same places. He loves Frozen Tears, which are pretty easy to find in the Mines after floor 40, or Void Eggs, if you happen to have had a visit from the witch.

1. Alex

Alex is a strange one. He's a jock with an overinflated ego and is initially insufferably arrogant. But he offers an incredibly useful post-marriage gift, Dish O' The Sea, which will boost your Fishing skill level by +3.

The downside? He's very tough to romance because he only has three loved gifts, and none of them are easy to get. He loves Complete Breakfast and Salmon Dinner.

All Stardew Valley bachelorettes, ranked

The bachelorettes of Stardew Valley

If you want a more feminine spouse, there are six bachelorettes to choose from. As with the bachelors, they each have their perks and disadvantages.

6. Leah

Leah is let down by both her loved gifts and her post-marriage gifts to the player. All of her loved gifts are hard to get, with the easiest being Truffles, which are an expensive endeavor.

After marriage, the most common things you'll get from Leah are a selection of seasonally appropriate forageables, with a particular focus on mushrooms of different types.

5. Emily

Emily isn't the worst of the candidates, but you will need to get between her and Clint if you want to win her over. On the plus side, she loves getting Wool, Cloth, and various gems, so she's easy to woo if you don't mind being part of a love triangle.

After marriage, Emily will mostly offer various forageables as gifts on any given day, but she can occasionally give an Omni Geode.

4. Penny

Penny is sweet and has a good heart, but that's not what we're looking at here. Her loved gifts include Melons and Poppies, neither of which can be grown outside of Summer (unless you have the Greenhouse unlocked), so you'll need a stock of them if you want to win her heart.

Unfortunately, her post-marriage gifts are lackluster, including basic farm-found resources like Milk and Eggs.

3. Haley

Haley is widely known to be the easiest romanceable character to marry in Stardew, and it's technically possible to marry her before the Flower Dance if you know what you're doing. She likes Daffodils and loves Coconuts.

Again, she's not the most useful when it comes to gifts after marriage, but she does at least offer sweet treats for breakfast, which is never a bad thing.

2. Abigail

Abigail gives the rarest gifts of all bachelors of bachelorettes, including both Void Essence and Solar Essence, once you're married. She can also cook dinners, although this isn't guaranteed.

Her loved gifts include Amethyst and Pumpkins, so you'll need to go exploring in the Mines and get farming in the Fall if you want to gain her affection.

1. Maru

Maru is possibly the most useful spouse of all in Stardew, with her post-marriage gifts including Bombs, Warp Totems, Fertlizers, and other items made in her workshop.

Unfortunately, she's quite difficult to romance when it comes to gifts. The best bets are Cauliflower and Strawberries, but both are season-specific crops until you get the Greenhouse unlocked.

The bonus that is Krobus

Krobus in Stardew Valley

While Krobus isn't a romanceable character, that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a place on this list. If you're not up for the drama of a romantic relationship, you can build your friendship with Krobus and eventually ask him to move in with you as your Roommate.

He loves Wild Horseradish, and if you have a Void Chicken, he will gladly take Void Eggs or Void Mayonnaise as well. This makes it relatively easy to build your friendship with him, and you can still access his shop once he's become your roommate; he's just replaced by a chest down in the Sewers.

a figure wearing a space suit staring out at a desert

Obsidian Entertainment is on a roll, and all eyes are on The Outer Worlds 2 as their big RPG release for 2025. But when exactly is The Outer Worlds 2 set to come out? Here's what you need to know.

The Outer Worlds 2 release date and window

At the time of writing, The Outer Worlds 2 has only been confirmed for a 2025 release window. Given that we're getting a proper showcase for it in June (which will dive into story and gameplay details), we can surmise that The Outer Worlds 2 will only come out in the second half of 2025, likely as a Fall title.

For now, though, we have the Xbox Games Showcase and The Outer Worlds 2 Direct to look forward to. This double feature will kick off Summer Game Fest in June. You'll be able to catch the presentations on Xbox's official Twitch and YouTube channels on June 8, 1 p.m. Eastern Time. I've also included a few different timezones below to give you an idea of when to tune in if you're outside of North America and Canada:

Timezone Time
USA - East Coast June 8, 1 p.m. EST
USA - West Coast June 8, 10 a.m. PST
UK June 8, 6 p.m. BST
Europe June 8, 7 p.m. CEST
Japan June 9, 2 a.m. JST
Australia June 9, 3 a.m. AEST

What platforms will The Outer Worlds 2 be available on?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOf2np-KBG8

The Outer Worlds 2 will release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. It was initially announced as an Xbox-exclusive title back in 2021, but a trailer shown at The Game Awards featured the PS5 logo at the end, confirming that it'll be a multi-platform release.

Just like its predecessor, The Outer Worlds 2 is played from the first-person perspective. You'll spend most of your time talking to NPCs, doing quests for them, and probably shooting a bunch of people. If Obsidian's track record is anything to go by, you'll likely also run into branching narratives based on the decisions you've made throughout the story.

And that's everything you need to know about The Outer Worlds 2's release date for now. Be sure to search up Destructoid for more news and information on the game, including our list of best RPGs like Avowed.

Warzone operators parachuting in to Verdansk

The dust has settled after nearly a week of Call of Duty: Warzone gamers being back "home" in Verdansk, and the reception has been largely positive about the experience.

But this drastic of a move back to what used to make the game so great could have been avoided. Top CoD talent are beginning to speak out about it, like former CoD esports world champion and current popular streamer Tyler "TeePee" Polchow.

Verdansk Warzone Ranked Play operators overlooking the map
Image via Activision

In a recent rant on his broadcast, TeePee lamented the fact that it took this long for Raven Software and Activision to give the players what they have been asking for over the past few years as Warzone features were added and removed to result in an experience that made most miss the heyday of Verdansk.

"They put all their fucking cards in the Resurgence basket, and it didn't fuckin' work," TeePee said. "And now they're going all the way back to what we wanted the whole god damn time, a better big-map experience. What the fuck are we doin'? Finally!"

TeePee especially felt scorned by the support, or lack thereof, for battle royale's Urzikstan map over the past couple of years in favor of the respawn-enabled Resurgence game mode on smaller maps like Rebirth Island or Area 99.

"We had it for too long," he said. "I don't even know why they made it. They didn't support it, they didn't update the metas, they didn't do shit. They didn't care about it."

Warzone is just a game to most players, but for a content creator like TeePee, a less-than-exciting experience on battle royale (which is how his Twitch channel truly blew up after years of streaming as a CoD pro) could affect the bottom line. But things are looking up with Verdansk, at least for now.

"Finally they're figuring it out," he continued. "Resurgence is fun for like an hour, and then everyone is ready to play fuckin' BR again. Why does it take us literal years to get what we actually fucking want? It's bullshit. God damn."

https://twitter.com/TylerTeeP/status/1909578062393479221

As TeePee's friend and Warzone duo Nio said, the streamer was indeed "spitting" when talking about his feelings on the subject. Thankfully, although it's taken long to get to this point, the slow-paced Verdansk experience has returned and players like TeePee and many others are enjoying themselves again for the time being.

Agar Agar Cookie, as shown in CookieRun Kingdom.

The Flame Awakens update is here, bringing to Cookie Run Kingdom two new faces in the legendary Fire Spirit Cookie and the epic Agar Agar Cookie, the latter of which shines through her ability to mimic the skills of many meta picks.

But given her multi-attribute focus and debuffer capabilities, finding the best toppings and beascuits for her can be tricky. To help you with that, here's the best Agar Agar Cookie build in Cookie Run Kingdom.

Agar Agar Cookie.

A heavily adaptable pick, Agar Agar Cookie is a Middle-Row Ambusher capable of mimicking the skills of five legendaries—Fire Spirit, Frost Queen, Wind Archer, Stormbringer, and Sea Fairy Cookie—while also applying a 25-percent ATK and MOV speed debuff to enemies hit and making the whole party immune to Shackles for 10 seconds.

That allows her to work as an excellent support/secondary damage dealer. Just don't expect her mimic skills to deal the same game-breaking DMG as the originals. Here's an overview of all of Agar Agar Cookie's mimic skills at level one.

  • Fire Spirit Mirror: Produces a Flame Explosion, dealing eight hits over 3.2 seconds. Each hit deals Fire DMG equal to 56.2 percent of her attack. The skill applies Burn, dealing 47.4 percent DMG per second for five seconds.
  • Frost Queen Mirror: Deals Ice DMG equal to 166.6 percent of her ATK. Can apply Freeze.
  • Wind Archer Mirror: Deals 290.5 percent of her attack as Wind DMG. Can Stun.
  • Sea Fairy Mirror: Deals Water DMG equal to 182.1 percent of her ATK. Can apply Sea Floam, dealing 188.6 percent DMG per second for five seconds.
  • Stormbringer Mirror: Deals Electricity DMG equal to 409.4 percent of her ATK. Can apply Zap, dealing 25.5 percent DMG per second for five seconds.

If on teams not featuring the mentioned Guardians of Nature, Agar Agar Cookie will instead use any of the skills above at random.

As her 15-second cooldown is definitely on the long side, the best Toppings and Tart for Agar Agar Cookie are a full set of Swift Chocolate, which will offer a massive CD decrease and boost her debuff's availability. If you want to mix things up, pairing the set with Searing Raspberry can also work wonders. Bonus-effect-wise, I recommend prioritizing Cooldown, CRIT%, DEF, and any type of Resist effect.

Agar Agar Cookie gains the most from using a Legendary Crispy Beascuit featuring Cooldown and damage-related bonus effects, such as DMG Resist Bypass, CRIT%, and Element DMG. The beascuit's main element, however, will change based on which Legendary Cookies you wish to pair Agar Agar with. For example, if going for the dream pair with Fire Spirit Cookie, a Burning Crispy Beascuit will be perfect. If using her in teams without or with multiple Guardians, go for a regular Crispy Beascuit.

With Agar Agar taken care of, why not take a chance and check out the best toppings and beascuits for Fire Spirit Cookie? I also recommend taking a look at the latest CookieRun Kingdom codes for a generous amount of rewards.

Cookie Run Kingdom how to leave a guild

Guilds in Cookie Run: Kingdom are great for gaining new cookies and treasures through its gacha system, fighting bosses for valuable rewards, and chatting with fellow community members. However, with thousands of guilds to join, you may eventually want to leave your current one in hopes of finding a more active group or creating your own.

Table of Contents

Screenshot by Destructoid

You need to clear Crispia Stages 3 - 6 in Story Mode to unlock guilds in Cookie Run Kingdom. This doesn't take place immediately, and you need to play the game a bit to get to that part. Out of the 28 Episodes present in World Exploration, 18 Episodes take place in Crispia.

The more you clear Stages and Episodes, the more you can earn rewards, such as Coins, Cookie and Kingdom EXP, and more. You can check by pressing the Friends button on the top right corner of the screen (just beside Diamonds) and then clicking on the Guilds tab from that screen.

Below are the exact steps to leaving your guild in Cookie Run Kingdom:

  1. Tap on your guild's banner in the top-left corner of your screen to head into its main menu.
  2. Tap the banner again to ring up the Guild Info menu.
  3. Press "Leave" and confirm your selection to leave your guild.

Once you leave a guild, you'll have to wait 24 hours to join or create another and wait seven days to rejoin the guild if you change your mind later. You'll also lose all your activity points and the opportunity to claim your Guild Battle reward, so make sure to complete everything you need to beforehand.

Leaving your guild as a Guild Leader is slightly more challenging, as you'll first have to transfer ownership to another member before leaving. In some cases, you might have to kick everyone out of the guild before leaving, but you'll only have to do this if giving ownership to someone else is impossible.

If you want to create your own guild, you can do so by entering the main Guild menu and tapping Create. Doing this brings up the Guild Creation menu, allowing you to input your guild name, description, and entry requirements. From here, you'll need to pay a 500 crystal fee to make the guild.

Be careful if you recently left a guild, though. You'll have to wait 24 hours to create a guild after leaving one, so be prepared to become a lone wolf temporarily.

Once you create your guild, you'll have free reign to customize it however you wish. You can also set it so your guild is invite-only or have it open for any player to join. Your choices from here are entirely up to you.

Marvel Snap's latest efforts to improve card acquisition in its game, Snap Packs, will be coming in just a few short weeks, and its developer Second Dinner today revealed more of what to expect from them.

In a lengthy new video, Marvel Snap detailed how Snap Packs will work when they drop in their now-confirmed release date of April 29, just a few short weeks away. And in theory, it sounds like a better system than what was in place before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLAKi4LLTR0

In place of the current Spotlight Cache system where players use Spotlight Keys to open a weekly cache that has one new card and other special variants, Snap Packs will give players more agency in what they are chasing after.

Snap Packs will appear in the Cards section of the shop, while cosmetics will stay in a new section named Offers. There will be Seasonal Series packs for Series Three, Four, and Five, which contain new cards from the last couple seasons of the game for players who want to catch up on whatever's newest and "meta," while Collector's Packs will field "older" cards for players who are trying to complete series and collections. You will be able to inspect and see what's possible to pull out of each pack before opening one.

The biggest question on players' minds is pricing, and the video revealed that the Snap Packs will be priced as such below:

Snap Pack type Price
Series 3 Collector 650 Tokens
Series 4 Collector 2,000 Tokens
Series 5 Collector 4,500 Tokens
Seasonal Series 4 2,500 Tokens
Seasonal Series 5 5,000 Tokens
Newest Series 5 card 6,000 Tokens

The new Tokens will be converted from existing Collector's Tokens, so the newest card of each week will retain the same price as a Spotlight Cache right now, but Token Packs can soon be bought for Gold, on top of 50 free Tokens per day.

It will be 1,300 Gold for 1,000 Tokens, 3,100 Gold for 2,500 Tokens, and 6,000 Gold for 5,000 Tokens, so it will remain pricy for those who are looking to "whale," but collecting Tokens as a free-to-play player will still be possible in this evolving new way of acquiring cards.

"This is the beginning of a new system that's very flexible and that we can build off of," said Matt Ricchetti, senior director of product at Second Dinner.

Ray Gun

Your choice of a weapon ultimately determines the fate of a Zombies round, either leading to chaos or making you feel like an undead-killing boss. Now that I've become familiar with the game, I've come across guns that lean more towards the latter.

I'm talking about the tools that help you dominate the higher rounds or even the formidable Easter Egg Main Quests. So if you want to ease the stress of this action-packed mode, here are the best weapons to use in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies.

BO6 Zombies weapons tier list for season 3

Black Ops 6 Zombies weapon tier list

This BO6 Zombies weapons tier list covers everything from the mighty Wonder Weapons to the classic standard guns. Fortunately, the S tier features some seriously powerful options, along with a few solid alternatives in the lower ranks.

S Tier

Mustang and Sally (GS45 Akimbo)

GS45
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 28 (Akimbo build by Level 31)
  • Weapon Type: Pistol
  • Pro: Pack-a-Punch turns this weapon into a grenade launcher
  • Con: Damage rates are relatively low with no Pack-a-Punch

The legendary Mustang and Sally, a fan favorite from The Walking Dead x Call of Duty Zombies crossover, returns in Black Ops 6 with its explosive power. Starting with the GS45 Pistol, a potent weapon in its own right, you'll gradually upgrade to the top-tier dual pistols of Mustang and Sally. This power-packed duo will make you feel like a force to be reckoned with, especially during the higher rounds.

ASG-89

ASG 89
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 31
  • Weapon Type: Shotgun
  • Pro: Unleashes tons of high-damaging bullets in seconds
  • Con: Only good for close-range attacks

Every time I delve into the Zombie forums, the ASG-89 Shotgun is a hot topic. Its robustness and rapid fire rates make it capable of dispatching hordes of zombies. The shotgun has even proved its worth in the challenging Terminus Easter Egg showdown, depleting the health of its frightening boss at an instant rate.

PU-21

PU-21
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: LMG
  • Pro: Extended magazine to wipe out hordes of zombies
  • Con: Longer reload times without Speed Cola

Light machine guns have always been my go-to in the world of Zombies. Since there are a ton of zombie heads to knock, you'll need all the bullets you can get. Fortunately, the PU-21 LMG helps out with this through its extended magazine size.

AS Val

AS Val Assault Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 55
  • Weapon Type: Assault Rifle
  • Pro: High DPS rates
  • Con: Recoil control can be difficult to handle

You'll notice there's no shortage of Assault Rifles in this Black Ops 6 Zombies weapons tier list, and that's because they're hands-down some of the best options to bring to the fight. The AS Val, in particular, is quickly becoming a crowd favorite in Season 3, tearing through zombies with relentless damage.

XM4

XM4 Assault Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: Assault Rifle
  • Pro: One of the best starter builds in Zombies
  • Con: Time to kill rates may be slightly slow

Like many on this list, the XM4 is an exceptional Wall Buy weapon. As an Assault Rifle, it can do more damage than that of SMGs and Pistols. The gun also boasts incredible Accuracy stats to get those nice-and-easy headshot kills. The XM4 has pretty decent mobility, too, which can make it feel like a submachine gun.

GPMG-7

GPMG-7 Light Machine Gun
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 52
  • Weapon Type: LMG
  • Pro: This weapon turns into a deadly bullet machine when Pack-a-Punched
  • Con: Has a smaller magazine size than the PU-21

If you're on the hunt for a powerful alternative to the PU-21, the GPMG-7 is your weapon of choice for sheer destruction. While its magazine size starts off a bit smaller, don't worry—once you Pack-a-Punch it, you'll be unloading a jaw-dropping 500+ rounds of pure chaos.

Krig C

Krig C Assault Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Acquiring it through the Armory challenges
  • Weapon Type: Assault Rifle
  • Pro: High damage rates, especially when Pack-a-Punched
  • Con: Not as easily obtainable as the XM4

I know the S tier already has a few Assault Rifles, but I couldn't resist adding one more with the Krig C. This bad boy is the definition of reliable, delivering consistently high DPS across all maps. It's just a solid, no-nonsense weapon that always gets the job done, making it a must-have for any zombie-slaying session.

Sirin 9mm

Sirin 9mm Special weapon
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Acquiring it through the Armory challenges
  • Weapon Type: Special
  • Pro: Kills zombies almost instantly
  • Con: Fairly low magazine size

The Sirin 9mm is the standout Special weapon that earns its place in the S Tier. Why? Because it offers critical kills with almost every shot, effortlessly targeting zombie weak spots. Even though it's classified as a Secondary weapon, don't be surprised if it becomes your go-to main due to its insane power and precision.

AMR Mod 4

AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Acquiring it through the Armory challenges
  • Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle
  • Pro: Has the potential to take down mini bosses quickly
  • Con: Not very useful with its base version

I've never been much of a sniper rifle person in Call of Duty Zombies, but after seeing how others dominate with them, I'm fully convinced they're one of the best weapon classes in the game. Out of all the snipers, the AMR Mod 4 takes the crown. It almost feels like you're wielding a shotgun instead of a sniper rifle, thanks to its incredible firepower. And with a Pack-a-Punch version, high-value targets like Doppelghasts and Manglers go down instantly.

Ray Gun Mark 2

Ray Gun Mark 2 build
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Crafting it at the Shattered Veil map or through Mystery Box
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: It harnesses three variants that cater to distinct playstyles
  • Con: Doesn't have as much area of effect as the original Ray Gun

Season 3's Shattered Veil map finally brings back the beloved Ray Gun Mark 2, and it's nothing short of amazing. This weapon fires three-round bursts of energy, but its real appeal lies in its upgraded variant. Once enhanced, you can transform it into a shotgun, a Marksman rifle, or an SMG, giving you plenty of options for taking down the undead. Plus, it's a key element in completing the Shattered Veil Main Quest, where you'll need to use it to defeat specific zombies.

Wunderwaffe DG-2

Wunderwaffe DG-2 Wonder Weapon
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Mystery Box
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: Great for crowd control
  • Con: Relatively slow in movement speed

Alongside the Ray Gun Mark 2, the legendary Wunderwaffe DG-2 has returned to help you obliterate the endless waves of zombies. With its devastating chain-lightning attacks, this weapon can wipe out groups of the undead in the blink of an eye, making it a lifesaver when surrounded.

A Tier

Ray Gun

Ray Gun

  • Unlocked by: Mystery Box
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: Deadly splash damage
  • Cons: This weapon isn't as OP as it used to be in previous versions

Is it really a surprise to see the Ray Gun make it to this best BO6 Zombies weapon list? Of course not. I mean, come on. It's probably been on almost every Zombies iteration's list thus far, and rightfully so. This Wonder Weapon is all about power, bringing down zombies with its high-damaging blast.

Marine SP

Marine SP
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: Shotgun
  • Pro: Gets rid of zombies quickly at close range
  • Con: It doesn't have as much rapid fire as the ASG-89

While the Marine SP may not match the ASG-89 in ammo capacity, it's still an excellent choice. With the PAP version, you can further increase its magazine size, enhancing its effectiveness. Many Main Quest steps often involve protecting a particular object, which is the perfect time to use this shotgun.

AK-74

AK-74
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 10
  • Weapon Type: Assault Rifle
  • Pro: Excellent damage rates
  • Con: Assault Rifles in the S tier are more robust than this build

The AK-74, another Assault Rifle in BO6 Zombies, is a weapon you can easily master. With its mid-to-long-range capabilities, targeting zombies will feel almost too easy. It's a well-balanced gun, covering Firepower, Accuracy, Mobility, and Handling stats.

Feng 82

Feng 82 LMG
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Acquiring it through the Armory challenges
  • Weapon Type: LMG
  • Pro: One of the most mobile LMGs
  • Con: Low magazine capacity

The Light Machine Gun class isn't exactly known for its mobility, but thankfully, the Feng 82 flips that script. This beast gives you the agility to outrun zombies, but it comes at a disadvantage with its lower magazine sizes.

LW3A1 Frostline

LW3A1 Frostline Sniper Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle
  • Pro: Power to one-hit kill the undead
  • Con: This weapon isn't the best for hordes of zombies

Even though the LW3A1 Frostline has a slower fire rate, one well-placed shot is all it takes to drop enemies at a fast rate. It doesn't matter if they're armored zombies—this rifle will tear through them like paper.

Swat 5.56

Swat 5.56 Marksman Rifle
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: Marksman Rifle
  • Pro: Superb accuracy and handling stats
  • Con: Low fire rates

Marksman Rifles aren't used all that much amongst the community, but if I had to pick one, the Swat 5.56 would be my top pick. Much like sniper rifles, it delivers one-shot kills to zombies. Additionally, its three-round burst allows you to take down multiple targets quickly and efficiently.

B Tier

C9

C9
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Automatically given to you
  • Weapon Type: SMG
  • Pro: Excellent for mobility
  • Con: Adequate damage rates

When the Mystery Box doesn't consistently deliver, you can rely on the Wall Buy weapons. The C9, available on most maps, is a dependable choice. I've experimented with other weapons, but some don't match the reliability of this SMG. If there's one thing you need in Zombies, it has to be fast movements, which is where the C9 comes into play.

Maelstrom

Maelstrom shotgun
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Acquiring it through the Armory challenges
  • Weapon Type: Shotgun
  • Pro: Decent range
  • Con: High recoil control

The Maelstrom had the potential to be a great addition to BO6 Zombies, but with weapons like the ASG-89 and Marine SP taking the lead, it didn't quite make the cut for the higher tiers. That said, this full-auto shotgun still offers solid range and handling.

Stryder .22

Stryder .22 pistol
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Level 40
  • Weapon Type: Pistol
  • Pro: Great rapid fire and mobility
  • Con: Low damage and range

With the exception of Mustang and Sally, pistols usually don't offer the firepower needed in Zombies, given their slower rate of fire. If you're still leaning towards a traditional pistol, the Stryder .22 is your best choice. It may not deal massive damage, but it offers fantastic mobility as you take on the undead.

C Tier

DRI-11 Beamsmasher

DR1-11 Beamsmasher
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Mystery Box or crafted at Terminus
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: Perfect for handling large groups of zombies
  • Con: It can slow you down with its heavy build

The Beamsmasher's Primary attack releases a destructive Aetheric beam of light, obliterating anything in its path. This unique ability, akin to the Aetherella Easter Egg's heat vision, gives you a sense of superhuman power. In addition to this damaging beam, the Beamsmasher harnesses the distinct skill to stop the enemy in their tracks. Unfortunately, now that other Wonder Weapons have entered the picture, this tool just doesn't quite hit the mark as much in season three.

Thrustodyne M23 (Jet Gun)

Thrustodyne M23
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Unlocked by: Crafted it Liberty Falls or found at Mystery Box
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: Deals with multiple zombies
  • Con: Long Secondary attack load times

The Jet Gun is an absolute blast to use in the Liberty Falls map. It's all thanks to its ability to suck zombies up and cause a devastating explosion with its Secondary Attack. Like the Beamsmasher, however, it won't really do you much good in the latest season, especially now that the Wunderwaffe DG-2 has returned.

Elemental Swords

Operators wielding the Elemental Swords
Image via Activision

  • Unlocked by: Craft at Citadelle des Morts
  • Weapon Type: Wonder Weapon
  • Pro: Provides unique elemental buffs
  • Con: Can only be used in Citadelle des Morts

If we were still in season one Reloaded of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, the Elemental Swords would be sitting much higher on this list. Nevertheless, since they're limited to just one map, their usefulness outside of Citadelle des Morts is minimal. Even so, you should definitely give these Wonder Weapons a try, especially if you're just starting out.
