Good Smile Company announced it is bringing back a Fire Emblem: Three Houses figma of Edelgard in 2026, with the figure of the heroine returning following her original 2020 debut. She'll show up first in Japan, as she'll return there in May 2026. The US release is tentatively Q4 2026. She costs ¥9,800/$69.99. As she was out of print, the second-hand price sometimes went from $100-200.
As with the original release, the Edelgard figma is based on her appearance in the first half of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the figure wears her Black Eagles school uniform. Her face plates allow her to be depicted either smiling or letting out an angry yell. She comes with two weapons she can equip. One is the generic Killer Axe. The other is her Crest Stone axe Aymr.
As a reminder, here's how that looks:

There is another version of the character available from Good Smile Company. That is based on her appearance after the timeskip in the latter half of the game. That's a scale figure, however, and as such is locked into one pose.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available for the Switch, and the Edelgard figma style figure will be back in Japan in May 2026 and worldwide in Q4 2026.

Shift Up announced on social media that it "optimized" the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE 1000 Days Together with the Commander web event based on player feedback and, as a result, also decided to send everyone a "Gift from the Director" in-game with items and like free Gems. This is in players' inboxes now, and we can claim them until August 12, 2025. It also reminded people they can generate a report through the official site via signing into it.
When someone logs into that Goddess of Victory: NIKKE 1000 Days Together with the Commander webs event site, it will show how many days people played. You can also see your Growth Path and other milestones, which notes if you did things like hit Commander Level 100, finished the Main Story's tenth chapter, reached certain bond levels, or got an SSR NIKKE through the Wishlist. It then generates a short message based on what you did and tagged. Shift-Up didn't explain how the event changed after the update.
As for the new "Gift from the Director" message in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, it means we get free 2,000 Gems, 5 Advanced Recruit Vouchers, 100 Growth Sets, and 5 Custom Modules. As a reminder, you need 3,000 Gems for a full 10-pull on the gacha. Those voucher tickets could be used on Special and Limited-Time Recruitment banners.

I know, I know. I'm sick of this age-old Battlefield-Call of Duty fight that's taken place over the past decade-plus. But we're headed for another clash of the FPS titans this fall.
Battlefield 6 will drop in October, followed shortly after by Black Ops 7 some time in November, so players will have to make a choice which game to give the most of their time and money to. And as for how early signs go, BF6 is showing it may be the more refined title already for one big reason.
![]()
Battlefield Labs has been an important part of BF6's development thus far. Many players have been testing the game since at least February, if not earlier, and feedback has already been implemented on some of the game's growing pains, according to EA.
For example, one of BF6's new gadgets is a Weapon Sling that allows players to carry multiple primary guns, but players haven't been fans of how it feels, so the developers are making a move to tweak it.
"Following feedback from Battlefield Labs participants, it was clear that players felt the earliest iterations of the Weapon Sling Gadget was intruding upon Class Identity with its ability to use Double Assault Rifles, or any other Signature Weapon and we agreed," DICE said today. "As stated in our second Community Update on Classes, this is being addressed."
With the feedback given, BF6 players will now no longer be able to use two assault rifles, LMGs, or sniper rifles, but Carbines, DMRs, and shotguns will be usable in that second slot. As ever, though, the BF6 devs say "balance continues to change throughout Battlefield Labs and beyond." This is good stuff from EA.
And in turn, this is a spot where BO7, and CoD games in general, are lacking. Sure, there are small-scale private playtests where players give feedback to help the games in development, but I can't help but feel like something more ongoing and similar to Battlefield Labs would help CoD launch more smoothly.
We've seen it time and time again when a yearly CoD game launches in a sorry state for one reason or another, and it takes several updates with player feedback in tow to help bring it in line with what the community wants. Something like CoD Labs would help alleviate these annual pains, I think. The situation is obviously exacerbated by a new CoD dropping every 12 months, but more feedback from a wider berth of players feels like it could help.
![]()
BO7 will follow BF6 with its own beta some time this fall, and both games will become better for it. But why not have some more assistance along the way with a Labs-like feature for CoD? Sure, leaks are going to happen, but let's be honest...they happen anyway.
Like the Splitgate 2 guy said, let's make FPS games "great again"...but with some help from the community. In theory, at least for now, BF6 is looking to be a better game because of it, so I wish CoD would follow suit.

After being accused of pressuring Steam and itch.io to remove their more NSFW and explicit games, Mastercard has issued a statement denying the allegations. The company argues it did not urge either platform to remove any games and that it allows any legal transaction to take place.
"Mastercard has not evaluated any game or required restrictions of any activity on game creator sites and platforms," the company said in a statement (thanks GameSpot), adding that any "lawful purchases" are allowed to take place via its network. However, Mastercard says platforms using its services must ensure its payment network isn't used for illegal transactions, including purchases of illegal adult content.
The games deplatformed from Steam and itch.io haven't been proven illegal in any capacity as of yet, and what's more, some of them weren't even so explicit to begin with. Visa, too, denied policing legal content previously, making the whole situation rather unclear.
![]()
Both Steam and itch.io claimed their payment processing partners put pressure on them to remove particular games, after an Australian organization called Collective Shout allegedly campaigned for them to do so. The organization celebrated these sweeping measures, which have affected thousands of games it deemed to contain explicit themes, most notably sexual and heinous in nature.
With both Visa and Mastercard now denying participation, it is unclear who precisely is to blame for what can arguably be called the biggest wave of gaming censorship in recent memory.
Itch.io has slowly begun platforming NSFW games again by only allowing free ones on the platform, which should help avoid the ire of payment processors. Whether or not it'll also avoid Collective Shout's campaigns remains to be seen, though the organization's vehemence leads us to believe it almost certainly won't.
It has since started pushing for the removal of Detroit: Become Human, again, and locked its social media accounts.
This whole ordeal should never have happened in the first place, as no entity, private or public, should wield the power to completely deplatform whatever or whomever they deem immoral or unethical.
What do you think, Destructoid? What do you make of Mastercard and Visa's statements? Are they mere attempts at saving face? Let me know below.

I open Slay the Spire, pick a character, and immediately hit a wall: Neow's Blessing. Do I want gold? A card? A random relic? It's a simple choice that terrifies me.
It should be easy, right? Just pick whatever is best.
And it was this simple when I started playing the game. Some choices were just obvious: picking a relic is better than picking a card because I don't have to draw it. Picking 100 gold isn't good because it's not a lot of money, and losing max health for a big buff was always a good downside.
Then I got hooked on the game. I got to Ascension 20, completed it with all characters while defeating the Corrupt Heart multiple times.
And now, whenever I go back with all these accomplishments and look at Neow's Blessing choices, I think I got dumber. These choices are so much harder now.
"Ok, so if I 'Choose a card', I breeze past the first floors. More health for Elites, more relics, more gold, better cards. Great. But what if it's a mid common? Or some useless uncommon? It's dead in Act 2. It's a curse. But I could remove it later. But that's gold I might not even have. So why pick it? But if I don't, I can't go triple Elite, which means fewer relics, worse scaling, and then I need better cards later, which I didn't get now because I passed on the card, because I was worried it was bad, but maybe it wasn't. Maybe it is good. Maybe I should pick it."
![]()
This is how playing Slay the Spire feels after they've played enough. You weigh how every choice affects you now, later, and much later. The best players like Jorbs and Baalord have way less chaotic versions of this monologue in their videos, but they also take it all into account.
This extends to every other choice in the game. Slay the Spire's Discord server and Reddit forums have extremely complex and even diverging answers for simple questions, like "Which card should I pick here?", which are usually followed by "please show us your map and the other cards in your deck."
There are a bunch of ways of looking at these cards. I can look at Ironclad's Sword Boomerang, which deals three damage to a random enemy three times, and say it's amazing because it scales with Strength and that it sucks because it's almost useless in fights against multiple monsters or those with Thorns.
Each player has their own approach and a different method of analyzing things. So cards that may just seem like crap for new players—like I thought they were—can actually be good.
Slay the Spire pretty much becomes a game of looking at a card for what it's good at instead of what makes it bad.
And after 1,000 hours, you'd think I have enough experience to just look at these cards and answer the simple question: "Is this a good card?" But I can't. It's good, it's bad, and it's mid all at once because it depends.
It's a matter of choosing your approach to the game. That's why some players can feel so lost. And that's why you see other players, the true veterans like Lifecoach, Jorbs and Baalord having extremely long Slay the Spire runs.
The more you play, the more you realize how complex it is.
![]()
When you look at a card and think about when it's good or bad, you're also thinking about the synergies it has with potions, relics, specific monsters, stats, powers, debuffs, monster buffs, the map, the shop, your deck size, and countless other details.
This complexity feels like I'm dissecting the game to its very core. Not being able to answer simple questions is what makes the game so great. If the answer is as simple as "this is good," "this is bad," "yes or no," it gets boring. There would be nothing to talk about.
We already know a lot of what's coming to Slay the Spire 2. The Mega Crit devs are sharing monthly newsletters with their community, teasing some interesting changes, such as some powerful character-specific cards becoming colorless, which means they can now be picked by any character).
But it doesn't seem like the core of the game will change. And I love it. I hope Slay the Spire 2 is just as confusing as the first one, because the moment I can say 'this is good, this is bad' is when the fun ends.
The post Even with 1,000 hours in Slay the Spire I expect to be just as lost in the sequel appeared first on Destructoid. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

If you've been playing Call of Duty: Warzone lately and found an item called a Red Access Card or Blue Access Card, it's hard to blame you for being confused.
The game doesn't explain what these items are used for. But once acquired, these cards can be used to obtain high-quality loot, so they're worth figuring out and locating to equip yourself for victory. This is a throwback to the original Verdansk map back in 2020, and they're back now with several ways to enter them.
We've got you covered with all the info you need below on Blue Access Cards, Red Access Cards, and all of Verdansk's bunker locations and how to get into them, even the mysterious Bunker Zero.
Table of contents
Warzone Verdansk bunker locations and codes
![]()
Each of the bunkers found around Verdansk has a number printed on the outside of its main door that you enter from. The above map shows all of the bunker locations, which number they are, and we've color-coded them to explain how to open them.
Once you've got a Red Access Card or Blue Access Card, you can use it to enter specific bunkers around the map. Some bunkers take a red card, while others take a blue, and others need specific codes to enter on a number pad to get inside.
Once in-game, it's great to know where these bunkers can be found when you have a Red Access Card or Blue Access Card, or to have a code on-hand to enter other bunkers that need a code to get in so you can get inside for some good, free, high tier loot to set you on your way as you chase down victories in BR.
The red numbered bunkers use a Red Access Card, the blue numbers use a Blue Access Card, and the yellow numbers need codes to open. The final bunker, bunker 11, requires an Easter Egg-like quest to unlock, but they all have the same randomized loot within.
Warzone Blue Access Card bunkers in Verdansk
Bunkers 2, 7, and 8 in Verdansk can be opened with Blue Access Cards.
Bunker 2 is found west of Storage Town, while Bunkers 7 and 8 are east of TV Station.

Live service games are very tough to pull off. Just ask any of the myriad titles that have tried and failed. But Marvel Rivals, even with a player count that rises and falls, seems to have cracked the code on having consistent content.
With Blade set to join the roster of playable heroes on Aug. 8 in the season 3.5 update, NetEase has now shown off what players can expect over the rest of season three's duration, along with officially confirming the launch date for season four. And it's closer than you may think.

Blade will kick off the new midseason update with another new event Queen's Codex, which will bring about multiple new skins including a symbiote skin for The Thing and Hela's Queen in Black costume, plus more.
The following week, two new incredible-looking costumes for Cloak & Dagger and Winter Soldier continue the theme of Phoenix Force vs. Symbiotes that season three sports, allowing players to spend their currencies if they choose to do so.
Aug. 22 adds another new event, Ancient Powers Awaken, which includes some more skins for Venom, Iron Man, Iron Fist, and more, but an all-new game mode called Resource Rumble will be added to the game with a new map, Throne of Knull, bringing players back into the fold if they stray too far from the free-to-play shooter as August winds down.
The season looks to close out with the Phoenix Chaos skin for Scarlet Witch on Aug. 29 and Peni Parker's Wasteland Mech outfit on Sept. 5 before coming to a head and ending the following week when season four begins.
Regardless of how I feel about the game's balancing or matchmaking (I am not a fan of either), you must hand it to the design team, who are cooking up amazing skins for Marvel's legendary heroes, reliably dropping them into the store every week or so.
The new season of Marvel Rivals is somehow already just a little over a month away, scheduled to begin on Sept. 12. In the weeks leading up to its arrival, more information about its new heroes, maps, modes, and more will be unveiled, and the content calendar will fill up once more.
This game has a way of making me come back pretty consistently, and this kind of content schedule is a big reason why.
