Bright Memory: Infinite has looked like an exciting prospect for a while, but when it was announced for the Xbox Series X earlier this year, the shooter truly caught the attention of the masses. It has looked slick and fast-paced in all that we've seen of it so far, and recently, we got another look at the game.

A brief new gameplay trailer was released at the Future Games Show, and those interested in the game will definitely want to check it out. It shows more of the frantic action of the game, of course, while also placing plenty of emphasis on its acrobatic traversal, from wall-running to power slides and more There's also plenty of melee combat shown off, and most notably, a glimpse at a boss fight against an overpowered teleporting samurai who comes at you with his katana. Sony Says it Wants to Make Advancements With PSVR

Sony's focus on PlayStation VR has been one of its most successful experiments in the PS4 era, with standout titles such as Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Blood and Truth, Resident Evil 7, and more proving the viability of the technology on a large scale, and it seems like that support will continue with the PS5 as well. Hitman 3 on the PS5 (and PS4) is going to be entirely playable in VR, while reports have suggested that the same will be true for Resident Evil Village as well.

Sony, meanwhile, have said that they have every intention to keep investing in VR, and recently, they re-iterated that. In its recent corporate report, the company said that it plans to drive user engagement even further in the coming years, and one of the ways it is going to do that is by innovating and make further advancements with virtual reality.

"Greater emphasis will be placed on user engagement," the company wrote. "SIE plans to provide content for a variety of game genres and formats, and
make advances in unique and immersive interactive experiences such as VR."

In this same report, Sony also talked about the possibility of bringing more first party exclusives to PC, about wanting to acquire more new studios, and about wanting to increase the output of exclusive content on the PS5. 

Last year, Sony said that it does not plan on releasing a new PSVR headset just yet, though rumours have suggested that the company will release a PSVR 2 for the PS5 following the console's launch.

Though there has been no substantial word on what improvements we might expect from a new VR headset, patent filings by Sony have pointed to Valve Index-style controllers, as well as stereoscopic 3D and a wireless headset.


Assassin's Creed Valhalla Will Reward Curious Players With Mythological Tidbits

Though the series is still grounded in history, Assassin's Creed has been leaning more heavily on mythological elements with recently instalments, especially with Assassin's Creed Odyssey and its Fate of Atlantis expansion. That's something that the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla will continue to do as well.

Recently, a new trailer of the game focused on exactly that, showcasing some of the mythological creatures and entities Eivor will be crossing paths with through the game, from the massive wolf known as the Black Shuck, to the three mystical beings known as the Daughters of Lerion, to the famous Viking warriors and followers of Ragnar Lothbrok known as the Lost Drengr.

During a recent interview with GamesRadar, narrative director Darby McDevitt spoke about the mythological side of things in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, saying that the game's world is full of fantastical elements borrowing from both British and Nordic folklore and mythologies, and curious players who go off the beaten path will be rewarded with several interesting stories and discoveries.

"We put a lot of care and effort into rewarding people who just want to get off the beaten path," McDevitt said. "For certain there are lots of main path quests in our game, there's a lot of heavy narrative. But there also a lot of world dressing, a lot of storytelling that goes on behind the scenes and behind closed doors. You'll have to look for it and search for it. The curious will be rewarded in our game."

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on November 17. It will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X when the two consoles launch.

Watch Dogs: Legion Gameplay Video Focuses on Recruitment Mission for a Beekeeper

Recruiting and playing as any NPC you can lay eyes on in its world is Watch Dogs: Legion's big hook, and it sounds suitably exciting on paper. Of late, Ubisoft have been doing their best to ensure everyone that it's exciting in terms of gameplay as well, thanks to the unique attributes and abilities each of these characters give you access to, and with a new gameplay video released during the Future Games Show, they did so yet again.

This time, they focused on a beekeeper and her recruitment mission. The beekeeper is an interesting prospect thanks to her unique abilities, which includes being able to shoot a swarm of nanotech bees at enemies. The recruitment mission for her sees the player tasked with destroying research data stolen by Albion – the game's main bad guys – following which she'll agree to join DedSec's cause. Scarlet Nexus Will Target 4K and 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Bandai Namco's upcoming action RPG Scarlet Nexus is looking to infuse its anime aesthetic with what seems like pretty high-octane action, and if you plan on playing the game on next-gen consoles, you're going to be able to enjoy that action with improved frame rates.

Speaking during a recent press keynote, the game's director Kenji Anabuki detailed the frame rates and resolutions players can expect from the game on all platforms (via Twinfinite). On the PS5 and Xbox Series X, Scarlet Nexus is targeting 4K and 60 FPS. Meanwhile, on the PS4 and Xbox One, it will unsurprisingly run at a 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second.

4K and 60 FPS is something that most have been hoping will become the standard with next-gen games, especially given the capabilities of the hardware both the PS5 and Xbox Series X are boasting, so it's good to know that Scarlet Nexus is aiming for that.

The game is currently in development for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC, but doesn't yet have a release date. It recently received a trailer focusing on the powers and abilities players will have access to in the game- check it out through here.


Sony Wants to "Accelerate" PS5-Exclusive Releases

Exclusives have been the bread and butter of PlayStation for as long as it has been around, and one of the primary reasons that the PS4 has seen such massive success across the world. That, of course, is something that Sony wants to keep going with the upcoming PS5 as well- in fact, they want to ensure that exclusive content is released at a faster clip.

In its recent corporate report, Sony talked about its goals to "innovate and evolve" the PlayStation platform, and one of the ways they plan to do that is by making "proactive investments to reinforce content IP." The company goes on to say that in order to do that, it will "accelerate the enhancement and rollout of its portfolio of exclusive PlayStation titles."

In the same report, Sony also talked about wanting to continue investing in and acquiring more studios to add to its first party lineup, which, of course, would be their primary way to ensure more exclusive content is released for the PS5.

Sony has already announced quite a few first party exclusives for the PlayStation 5, with Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales launching this Holiday, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West planned for 2021, and the likes of Destruction AllStars, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Gran Turismo 7, Returnal, and Demon's Souls also announced.

Meanwhile, third party exclusives such as Deathloop and GhostWire: Tokyo are also due out in 2021, with reports suggesting that Sony has deals in place for several more major third party exclusives to come to the PS5 as well.


Sony Plans to "Invest in or Acquire" More Studios to Add to First Party Lineup

Sony's lineup of first party studios is, to put it mildly, quite impressive, and though it's always been quite strong, the impressive growth it has seen over the last decade has probably been one of the biggest factors in the PS4's massive success this generation. It's possible, however, that Sony might be looking into expanding it even further.

In its recently published corporate report, the company talked about the importance of first party created content, and said that in order to ensure that that area keeps on growing, not only does Sony plan to improve "the personnel and work environment in its own studios", it's also open to invest in or acquire even more developers to add to the Sony Worldwide Studios lineup (which will become PlayStation Studios as we enter the PS5 generation). Notably, this is something that Sony has said earlier as well.

"First-party titles, developed and sold by the platform owner, are particularly important as content IP for future value-creation and earnings," the company wrote. "In addition to improving the personnel and work environment in its own studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) continues to invest in, or acquire, firms with abundant creativity and cutting-edge technologies to build up Worldwide Studios (WWS), an association of first-party title production studios."

The last studio Sony acquired was Insomniac Games back in August 2019, and it's fair to say that that was a massive get for them. With Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales launching alongside the PS5 this Holiday and Ratchet and Clank: Drift Apart due out for the next-gen console in its launch window, Insomniac are surely putting in plenty of work.


Sony Will "Explore" Bringing More First Party Games to PC

Seeing Sony's first party releases coming to any platform other than PlayStation seemed like an impossibility not to long ago, but it seems that the walls have at least come down around the PC gaming space. 2017's Guerrilla-developed action-RPG Horizon Zero Dawn released on PC earlier this month, and when rumours about the same were floating earlier this year, there were reports that were suggesting that it wouldn't be the only Sony first party game to be making the jump to PC either.

Recently, during its latest corporate report, Sony said something to that same effect, stating that in order to expand its audience and grow its profitability, Sony will be "exploring" the possibility of bring more first party games to PC.

"SIE aims to achieve robust revenue growth by accelerating the virtuous cycle that has been established for the PlayStation Platform," the company wrote. "This entails increasing active users and play time, enhancing network services and reinforcing content IP so that consumers select PlayStation as their platform of choice. Targeted outcomes include growth in active users, stronger retention and a shorter cash conversion cycle, from which expanded cash flow can be expected. We will explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability."

Recently, there have been a few leaks that have claimed that a remaster of Bloodborne is in development for PS5 and PC, while earlier this year, the developers of Dreams suggested that they would want the game to "migrate to whatever is relevant."

Nothing is confirmed yet, of course, but similar to how Horizon Zero Dawn made the jump to PC, it's entirely possibly that Sony will be willing to bring over more relatively older releases to a new audience, especially if they have a sequel for said release coming up that they want to generate interest for.


Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster Currently Planned for October, but Could be Delayed – Rumour

Mass Effect trilogy remaster collection has been in the rumour mill for the better part of 2020, and it's a rumour that just won't let up. We've been hearing about it quite a lot of late, with GamesBeat reporter Jeff Grubb in particular having leaked (quite conclusively) that it's definitely a thing that's supposed to launch later this year, and speaking recently on the GamesBeat podcast (which you can view below), he spoke about the matter once more.

Grubb says that until very recently, the plan at EA was to announce the trilogy remaster in early October and release it later that month, though it's possible that – owing to the kind of year 2020 has been so far with its constantly shifting plans and multitude of delays – EA could decide to push the release back.

"Up until like this last week, I know the plan for sure was to announce it in early October, release it late October," Grubb said. "It's 2020, maybe that could start to slip. It sounds like maybe that's a possibility. Nothing for sure yet."

"It's real," he added. "I know it's real, I've seen more than enough evidence to know it's real. But it's still 2020, and they haven't announced it yet."

Grubb continued that EA is internally positioning Mass Effect Trilogy as its big $60 Holiday release for the year, and so he's still "pretty confident" that the game will be out in October as intended. Though it's possible that the game could still get delayed, Grubb says that that's "not a guarantee yet", and based on what he heard about it last, it's still due out this October.

"[Star Wars] Squadrons is a $40 game, and I think they were planning for the Mass Effect trilogy to be this other big thing for $60 this Holiday," he said. "So that's why I'm pretty confident that it'll make it out. But with everything else falling apart across the board, I could see them also wanting to just delay. But that's not for sure. That's not a guarantee yet. That hasn't even been decided yet, it just seems like a possibility that's on the table. But last I heard, [it was] October."

Grubb also spoke about the nature of the remaster, discussing whether it would be an ambitious remake effort or more of a typical remaster upgrade, and he says that based on what he's hear, it's probably going to be the latter.

"People always ask me, 'is this gonna be like a full remake, or is it going to be more like an upgrade?'" he said. "I don't know that for sure, but I would probably lean towards upgrade. When I asked around about this, that was kind of the vibe I was getting, and I think that's what people should expect for sure."

There's no shortage of people who would want nothing more than seeing the original Mass Effect trilogy being remastered, so let's hope EA announces and releases it in October as Grubb is suggesting. Microsoft Flight Simulator Guide – How to Enable Autopilot and Assistance Settings for Easy Flying

Autopilot is an integral part of flights in the real world and can be a huge boon for new players in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Furthermore, it acts as a way for seasoned players to kick back, relax and let the AI handle everything. How do you enable autopilot though?

To immediately enable autopilot, press Ctrl+Alt+X. This lets the AI take over the plane until you press the same shortcut (and will even be active till the next flight). Other options for autopilot, which can be accessed from the AI Control menu, include Checklist Assist, which has the AI perform the complete pre-flight check; Manage Radio Comms, where all air traffic control communications are handled by the AI; and Control Aircraft which, as noted previously, lets the AI take over the plane.

Assistance Settings for Easy Flying

A number of other assistance settings can be toggled to make life that much easier for new players or less seasoned flyers. If you head into the Options menu and navigate to Assistance, there will be different fields. The first allows for changing the game's difficulty while the second is a drop-down menu that changes specific features.

What are some of the assistance settings that can make for a much more pleasant flying experience? First, in User Experience, ensure that the ATC UI Panel, VFR Map UI Panel and Nav Log UI Panel being open at the start are all switched off. Switch off the option for showing the message log in ATC menu as well. You can switch ATC Voices and the checklist in the UI panel being open at the start on.

Next, under Aircraft Systems, you'll want to turn on Automixture, Unlimited Fuel, Aircraft Lights and Gyro Drift Auto-calibration. Under Navigation Aids, switch Route and Waypoints, Landing Path, Taxi Ribbon, POI Markers, City Markers, Airport Markers and Fauna Markers on while setting the Smartcam Mode to Auto. Now head into Failure and Damage settings and disable Crash Damage, Aircraft Stress Damage and Engine Stress Damage while ensuring that Icing Effect is Visual Only.

Finally, under Notification, switch Software Tips, Objectives, Flying Tips, Aircraft System and Piloting and Controls Notifications on. Overall, these settings are a good way to ease in to the Microsoft Flight Simulator experience. You can choose to disable one at a time and slowly become more comfortable with flying as time goes by.
