Shin Megami Tensei V might be coming to PC

It's looking very possible there may be a Shin Megami Tensei V PC release, despite most of the SMT series and Persona spin-offs having skipped PC. This is according to a listing datamined from the game's files, meaning that the current Switch-exclusive SMT5 could join the other great JRPGs on PC.

Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne actually came out on Steam earlier this year, and despite its age - it originally came out on PS2 and is almost twenty years old - it's pretty well regarded and is currently sitting on a "very positive" rating. Shin Megami Tensei IV was exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS so that isn't getting ported anytime soon, but Shin Megami Tensei V came out on Nintendo Switch on Friday, November 12.

Dataminers dug into the Switch game's files and discovered details of "target platforms", which are named as Switch, PS4, and Windows PC. There are also suggestions of various graphics settings that can be changed - such as resolution, post-processing, shadow quality, and texture quality - which you'd only find in a PC version.

War is easier now in New World

You'll soon be able to declare war more easily in New World, which will come as a big relief to anyone getting bored of this peacetime nonsense. Some companies in the MMO have found themselves unable to declare war on others, but Amazon is hopeful this issue is fixed now - although there are still other war-related matters to be dealt with.

Recently, players as part of companies in New World had discovered that they were seemingly unable to declare war on various territories, despite believing they were above the required 10% threshold for throwing the territory into conflict - which is currently hard to track so players often weren't sure.

Well, Amazon Game Studios reports in its latest dev blog that it believes it has "resolved most cases of this" - particularly in regards to fixing a bug in a recent update where "many players from a faction all turned in PvP missions at the same time" meant that the influence from these quests wasn't being counted properly. The team asks players to report if it's still going on, however.

     Back 4 Blood is

As anyone who's played it knows, Back 4 Blood can be an incredibly tough game - far more so than the game it's a spiritual successor to, Left 4 Dead. The team at Turtle Rock has admitted in a stream that Back 4 Blood is currently "far more difficult than intended" but it is "actively working on a solution" - particularly to the Specials spawning problem.

One of the biggest problems players are finding is that Special Ridden - the tougher mutated enemies - are spawning in too large a number, which we even noted in our review and makes parts of Back 4 Blood far too tougher.

Earlier this week, Turtle Rock deployed a patch specifically to counter this problem but now has admitted that it "spoke too soon" in suggesting it was fixed as it has now "identified another major cause of the unintended increased difficulty" and is working on fixing it. Other problems addressed on the stream include Trauma damage being "dealt out way too quickly", which should be fixed now, and speedrunning.
