It's bad enough that the Reality Tree has roots popping up all over the place, but things are changing a lot with older POIs infecting the Season 3 map too. It appears like things aren't slowing down anytime soon, and the next change could turn Fortnite Temple into Fortnite Tower. Well-renowned Fortnite leaker HypeX tweets that a new POI named 'The Tower' seems set to appear "in place of the Temple between Rocky Reels and The Joneses." Epic recently hinted that the Temple will change on July 5th. The specifics of this change are unknown for now, but they followed up that tweet by suggesting that the name of the POI could be Temple Bloom. To us, "Temple Bloom" suggests that the Reality Tree could be sprouting up here too. That could mean that we get a ruined tower strewn across a large tree, or it could mean that the area will be affected by the same area warping as Butter Barn and Logjam Lumberyard, which both now switch between different designs. While many Destiny 2 Exotics can be bought from Xûr or even in the world loot pool, the Exotics in these special Lost Sector instances cannot, forcing players to explore these dangerous areas if they want the best equipment available. To make matters worse, you have to complete them on your own to get a chance at the best rewards. The Destiny 2 Legendary Lost Sector location changes with the daily reset at 5pm UTC. Before you can take on Legend Lost Sectors, you need to complete all the normal Lost Sectors first. If you don't, the new Legend Lost Sectors will not appear on the map. Each day, the location, modifiers, and rewards rotate out for something new. As of Season of the Risen, the Legend and Master Lost Sector quests both take place in the same location. It's important to remember that Exotic drops are not guaranteed after completing these quests, so you may have to run through the same Lost Sector multiple times. They're essentially better versions of the basic Vault of Glass weapons, with an extra third and fourth perk slot and a slot for Adept weapon mods. To get this week's Destiny 2 Timelost weapon, you will need to complete its particular challenge in the Vault of Glass on Master difficulty. You can check out our Destiny 2 Vault of Glass walkthrough for tips on how to beat it. Five encounters in the raid have a challenge associated with them, which is basically an extra condition to meet when completing the fight (for example, the 'Wait For It' challenge on Confluxes requires you to wait until the Wyverns have started sacrificing themselves before you kill them). On normal difficulty, completing a challenge grants bonus loot, but on Master, this is how you get your Timelost weapon. Only one challenge is 'active' per week, and they rotate with the Destiny 2 weekly reset every Tuesday at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT / 6pm BST. The deal, which began in July 2019, sees the club featuring as one of the few fully-licensed partners in the sports game, alongside other major footballing franchises including Barcelona, Arsenal, Juventus, and Manchester United. Konami's European president Naoki Morita says, "To have been partners during a period where they have won multiple titles and become champions of Europe has been fantastic," referencing Bayern's ten-year consecutive foothold as champions of Germany's premier football league, the Bundesliga. FC Bayern's Andreas Jung adds, "The partnership with Konami is of great importance to us because this market is booming and is particularly popular with the young fans." This positivity, however, has not stopped eFootball 2022 from being one of the most critically and commercially panned football titles, becoming the worst-reviewed game on Steam at its launch. The reception to its first major update in April was slightly better, with fans calling it a step in the right direction, but responses to the new partnership announcement on Twitter are mostly clamouring for fixes and improvements to the game itself. |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 29, 2022 6:32 AM  A Doom mod two years in the making is now complete, and it overhauls 2019's Doom 64 PC remaster into more of a story-driven FPS game along the lines of Doom Eternal or 2016 - featuring new levels, cutscenes, secrets, remastered graphics, and more than double the number of songs on the soundtrack. While it might be a push to call Doom Eternal "story-driven" compared to the likes of Half-Life or Far Cry, the recent games certainly have way more of a plot than the '90s ones. Doom 64, in particular, had a bit of a story but it didn't really come through in-game between blasting demons in the dark. Doom 64 Reloaded is a mod that changes this to make it a little more in line with Eternal-style storytelling, and you can pick it up over at Doomworld. It patches the official release of Doom 64 and completely overhauls it, which becomes apparent the moment you start the game and are confronted with a new opening cutscene and an extended first level with jumpscares. To get this new look, you have to complete a list of challenges, and play a lot of matches. These challenges also give you experience points you use to level up the Halo Infinite battle pass. Challenges can be found in the battle pass menu and it lists the current active challenges and upcoming challenges, including the Halo Infinite ultimate challenge for that week. Each challenge is colour-coded by difficulty, so bright grey challenges are the easiest, the bluish-grey challenges are of medium difficulty, and the bright blue ones are the most challenging. One of the upcoming challenges will take its place when you complete a challenge, though which challenge it is, is random. Once you've completed each challenge, you're given one more challenge before you can claim your weekly reward. This challenge is the same for everyone. Capcom has revealed the last remaining monsters for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion, including Shagaru Magala. The announcement also revealed several new and returning monster variants, such as the Furious Rajang and Scorned Magnamalo. This gives fans a better idea of what to expect in terms of content for the next few months, once Sunbreak releases later this week. One key reveal of the announcement is the Shagaru Magala. As the name suggests, the six-limbed, winged Elder dragon is the adult form of the Gore Magala. The monster has appeared in earlier Monster Hunter titles, making its debut in Monster Hunter 4. The trailer gives a brief glimpse of the monster's movements and attacks. Furthermore, new and returning monster variants are set to appear both on Sunbreak's launch, as well as in the coming months. On launch, Capcom is bringing back the Furious Rajang, as well as adding a new Scorned Magnamalo variant. While Furious Rajang has been a staple in the Monster Hunter series for some time, the Scorned Magnamalo is new. Unlike its normal form, the Scorned Magnamalo is equipped with larger arm blades and is constantly covered in hellfire. In August, the Seething Bazelgeuse will join the roster. The Bazelgeuse variant will join alongside the previously announced Lucent Nargacuga. The Japanese Twitter account for NieR revealed that sales for NieR: Automata have exceeded 6.5 million copies. This news comes five years after the game's original release in February 2017. The number includes worldwide sales of both digital and physical copies. It also takes into account all three platforms the game is on. NieR: Automata serves as a sequel to NieR, which is itself a spin-off of the Drakengard series. However, one can understand the story without needing to play other games in the franchise. The game has won several awards over the years, as well as received nominations in various categories. These awards include Game of the Year, Best Storytelling, and Best Narrative. Within its first two months, sales for NieR: Automata exceeded one million units. In 2021, on the game's fourth anniversary, Square Enix announced that it had sold 5.5 million units worldwide. In Japan, a fan festival to commemorate the game's fifth anniversary will appear at the end of November 2022. You will be able to purchase tickets from June 28 until July 18, 2022, from the Square Enix website through a lottery system. Yosuke Saito, Yoko Taro, Keiichi Okabe, and Emi Evans are among the guests who will be at the event. NieR: Automata is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
