PCGamesN Sunday, August 14, 2022 1:31 PM An ongoing Diablo Immortal bug is causing players of the RPG game to get locked out of quest progression in the Helliquary raids. Players are reporting that they are encountering a bug with the Lassal the Flame-Spun quest, which causes them to be unable to complete the quest after killing Lassal in the free-to-play game because a required character is occupied by another quest. User WhiteSin reported the bug to the Diablo Immortal bug report forum, and numerous users have responded echoing the issue with similar problems of their own. WhiteSin says that after killing Lassal, the game's first Helliquary boss, they are left unable to complete two yellow quests as "the character in this quest is occupied by another quest." The Frozen in Fear quest, which sets users against the second Helliquary boss Vitaath, appears to be taking priority and preventing the Lassal quest from being turned in. Another user, ECKoh, explains the resulting problem: "I am not getting any loot whenever I kill Lassal, while Vitaath is a much harder boss which my power rating is not high enough for yet." Essentially, it appears that players who run into this bug are unable to get their rewards for fighting Lassal the Flame-Spun, who is designed as the entry level raid, because the Vitaath quest is being prioritised despite being much higher level. PCGamesN Sunday, August 14, 2022 12:17 PM Recent changes to the early game pacing have left Apex Legends players wishing for a little more calm before the storm, with fans of the battle royale game saying that season 14 changes to the Ring are causing them to spend more time running than fighting. Apex Legends season 14 is off to a roaring start, pushing the FPS game to a record Steam concurrent player count with the arrival of new Legend Vantage and her adorable bat companion Echo. Among the other changes introduced in the season 14 update, which launched on August 9, were some hefty tweaks to the Ring mechanics. Much like its battle royale counterparts, the Ring in Apex Legends gradually closes in on a certain point on the map, slowly forcing players to move closer and closer to one another and forcing engagements to happen. Anyone who moves outside the Ring will take constant damage over time, starting at a low value early in the match but increasing dramatically with subsequent shrink periods to ensure that players are forced to move. Season 14 introduced three key changes to the Ring. Firstly, the 'preshrink time' - the amount of time after a round begins before the first ring starts closing - has been reduced from 180 seconds down to 60 seconds. The closing time on each map has been slightly increased, by about 20 seconds on most maps and by 50 seconds on World's Edge. Finally, the damage caused to players outside the Ring during its first period has been increased from 2hp to 3hp every tick (equivalent to every 1.5 seconds), bringing it in line with the second Ring period. PCGamesN Sunday, August 14, 2022 10:47 AM A Diablo 4 survey sent out by Activision Blizzard has given us a look at some of the potential microtransaction options and cosmetics we could be seeing when the RPG game arrives in 2023. As the Diablo 4 release date gets ever closer, fans are eagerly lapping up any details that might clue us in on what to expect from the next entry in the fantasy game series. Leaks from the ongoing internal beta tests have previously caused discussions about smart loot and trading in Diablo 4, and now attention has turned to possible launch editions, pre-order bonuses, and paid cosmetics that might appear in the action-RPG. A pricing survey reportedly sent out to players has been posted to the Diablo 4 subreddit. The survey is in German, but user BellasaurusRawr has helpfully translated it into English (the results of which we have corroborated). It's important to note that these surveys are pretty common - a similar one was recently sent out for cosmetic microtransactions in Overwatch 2 - and Blizzard has previously said that the prices listed are randomly generated per user in an attempt "to better understand player preferences." This means that you should of course take everything here with a healthy pinch of salt, especially when it comes to pricing. Nevertheless, the options on offer do give us some more insight into the types of microtransactions we are likely to see when Diablo 4 arrives. Diablo general Manager Rod Fergusson has previously stated that Diablo 4 eschews the model used by mobile crossover game Diablo Immortal, and instead will be a "full price game anchored around optional cosmetic items and full story-driven expansions." PCGamesN Sunday, August 14, 2022 8:15 AM Marvel's Spider-Man mods were an inevitability following the release of the previously PlayStation exclusive game on PC, and coming out of the gates swinging is this Symbiote suit mod that lets you wear the webslinger's iconic black and white costume in the superhero game. First seen in Amazing Spider-Man 252, and gaining fame for its starring role in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, the Symbiote costume has become among the most notable of Spidey's looks. However, the suit was not among the featured options in the 2018 Marvel's Spider-Man - presumably because of its rather unique nature. For those unfamiliar, the Symbiote suit gets its name because it is not merely a costume made of fabrics, rubber, and metal like the various other outfits donned by Spider-Man. Instead, the Symbiote is itself an alien life form, which, as the name suggests, forms a symbiotic bond with a host entity after attaching itself to it. As explained during the 1985 Secret Wars miniseries, Peter Parker discovers the true nature of the symbiote and rejects it - but upon trying to remove it, the symbiote binds itself to his body, only being removed via the use of strong sonic waves. After this, the symbiote is most well-known for its association with Eddie Brock, who becomes known as Venom when bonded with the creature. |

There is a short trailer announcing the new season and OVA. However, all of the scenes are from the first season. Siliconera Sunday, August 14, 2022 9:00 AM The Genshin Impact 3.0 update goes live soon. HoYoVerse uploaded a full trailer for the update, titled "The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings". It's full of new story details setting up the Traveler's adventure in Sumeru. Teases for planned events, gear sets, weapons, and activities are also visible. On launch, players will get a chance to recruit Collei for free. Check it out in English below. Some details from the trailer and HoYoVerse's briefing on the update follows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIxkKExpu94 Sumeru's Location and the Genshin Impact 3.0 StoryAccording to the trailer and accompanying data from HoYoVerse, Genshin Impact 3.0 will introduce Sumeru as a region west of Liyue. Hints in the direction of the game's map expansion suggest that it lies beyond the Chasm in southwest Liyue. It'll unlock gradually at first. When it launches, Travelers will be able to access the rainforest areas of Sumeru, including Sumeru City proper and Port Ormos. These areas are ruled by the Akademiya, founded by those loyal to the previous Dendro Archon, Rukkhadevata. The Lesser Lord Kusanali succeeded Rukkhadevata 500 years before the start of the game, making her the youngest of the Seven. The Akademiya manages knowledge like a resource to be allocated. The Sabzerus Festival is a key event in the Genshin Impact 3.0 story. The character Nilou, who devotes herself to art and dance to the consternation of the Akademiya, will perform a dance in it as a major attraction. New Characters, Enemies, and Dendro Elemental Reactions The Genshin Impact 3.0 trailer features lines from various Sumeru characters, as well as a snippets of gameplay featuring new characters. Tighnari and his student Collei are both Dendro-element bow users. Thus, they're likely the first playable Dendro characters in Genshin Impact. Dori, an elusive merchant, is a 4-Star Electro support character. Dendro is a new elemental type, which can trigger different reactions with the Pyro, Hydro, and Electro elements. Dendro and Hydro trigger Bloom reactions, spawning Dendro cores that can explode. If the cores touch Pyro or Electro energy before exploding, they can Burgeon, which increases their explosion damage, or Hyperbloom, which turns them into homing projectiles that hit enemies. Dendro and Electro together trigger Catalyze, which applies the Quicken effect to targets. This effect increases their damage taken. The enemies present in Sumeru's rainforest are also adapted to the Dendro-heavy environment, and can transform based on their contact with various elements. Some can even drop different items depending on how they're fought. New boss encounters include the Electro Regisvine and the Dendro-element Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Check out some screenshots of Sumeru and beyond in the gallery. Dori will arrive on a banner that features reruns for Kokomi and Ganyu in the latter part of the update. Players will be able to recruit Collei for free by completing the 3.0 Seasonal event, Graven Innocence. New Artifact sets include the Deepwood Memories set and Gilded Dreams set. Deepwood Memories boosts Dendro damage and reduces enemy Dendro resistance when hitting them with elemental skills or bursts. Gilded Dreams boosts Elemental Mastery and buff characters that trigger elemental reactions. New 4-Star Dendro-themed weapons in each class will become available, as will new named weapons, like the 5-Star bow Hunter's Path and the fish-themed 4-Star bow End of the Line. Other gadgets are planned to improve the experience of farming wood, cooking, and fishing easier. As for events, "Graven Innocence" is the main seasonal event of the update, and can reward a free copy of Collei on completion. "Tablet Analytics" is a combat challenge that uses unique elemental buff effects from "Remelting Tablet" nutritional supplements. "Lost Riches" brings back the treasure-seeking Seelie. Fayz Trials appears to be based on capturing images of enemy groups while time is stopped. Other minor events like Leyline Overflow will also make a return. Genshin Impact is available on iOS, Android, PS4, PS5, and PC. The Genshin Impact 3.0 update launches on August 24, 2022.
