Blizzard looking to replace World of Warcraft combat addons with its own tools

As any experienced World of Warcraft player will tell you, WoW addons have become an essential - some may say, necessary - asset when it comes to taking on certain aspects of the MMO. These third-party mods and tools come in all shapes and sizes, but those that assist players in high-difficulty combat encounters are among the most popular and widely used. Despite there being many years of acceptance from Blizzard about the use of addons, today the developer has revealed that it'll be changing tact. It wants to gradually outlaw the use of combat-focused addons, and instead replace them with its own in-house UI improvements, features, and tools.

Minecraft capes - How to get a cape in Java and Bedrock

How do you get a Minecraft cape? You've heard rumors, whispers of a mythical piece of cloth that adorns the shoulders of the most elite Minecraft players. Word on the block (sigh) is that capes also modify the appearance of Minecraft Elytra, the magical wings found in end ships, as they occupy the same space on a player's back. Needless to say, Minecraft capes are highly coveted, but they aren't easy to get.

An almost endless amount of customization options make Minecraft one of the best PC games around: from the world itself, to gameplay, graphics, and your skin. Minecraft capes sit on the back of your avatar skin in the sandbox game, so you can chop and change it at will - even easier than you can change your Minecraft skin. However, acquiring Minecraft capes is much harder than it seems. Here's how to get your very own Minecraft cape, and how to equip them when you finally get your hands on one.

     Best Oblivion Remastered mods

30/04/25 We have added more mods to the list below.

What are the best Oblivion Remastered mods? Closing shut the jaws of Oblivion is a herculean task. While the Virtuos team has smashed its modern recreation of Cyrodiil out of the park, there are always ways to make your journey a little easier and enhance the devs' immaculate work a little more. It's modding time, hero.

While Bethesda says Oblivion Remastered doesn't officially support mods, this is most likely an acknowledgement that it won't receive a Creation Kit like its open-world cousin, Starfield. It's a toughie, after all, considering the remaster runs a hybrid of the original Gamebryo engine and Unreal Engine 5. The good news is that, while the Daedra works hard, the modding community works harder, and some brilliant mods have already surfaced.

If Assassin's Creed Black Flag remains one of the most beloved games in the entire series, it's partly because it was the last time that AC had a full multiplayer mode. 12 years later, and the competitive sneaking and stabbing that first began with Brotherhood is yet to make a return. Hyper Light Breaker didn't have a great launch. Heart Machine's early-access roguelike was released with undercooked gameplay and mechanics, leaving the Steam reception at a firm 'mixed.' On the surface, Sea of Stars is an appeal to basic nostalgia, a kind of aesthetical victory lap for the likes of Chrono Trigger and Earthbound. But the longer you play it, the more it becomes a credible, modern RPG in its own right. Already one of the genre's most beloved, while Monster Hunter Wilds, Clair Obscur Expedition 33, and of course Oblivion Remastered occupy the charts, the new Sea of Stars DLC makes Sabotage's 2023 hit feel fresh again.      Best gaming CPU 2025

What is the best gaming CPU? Your choice of processor will fundamentally affect your PC's frame rates, so you want to make sure you buy the very best gaming CPU you can afford when you're speccing up a new rig. It's your CPU that sets up the frames for your GPU to render in games, making it the foundation of your gaming PC hardware.

Our current top choice is the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. It's the fastest chip available for gaming and is powerful for other tasks too, yet has quite low power consumption and a reasonable price. For a more budget choice, the Intel Core i5 12400F is a great option. Or, you can opt for the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X that lets you upgrade to a 9800X3D later on. For more options, including high-end and powerful integrated graphics choices, check out the list below. Towerborne was one of the biggest surprise winners from my time at Gamescom 2024. I'm hard to please when it comes to side-scrolling brawlers, but Stoic and Xbox's new co-op game quickly won me over. Its slick, rewarding, combo-driven combat takes cues from fighting games and soulslikes to great effect, and that's only amplified by the promise of plenty of gear and class customization in the vein of Diablo or Borderlands. Ding ding, it is AI-slop-alypse-O-Clock. Time for another helping of doom-ridden commentary upon the technologies that are busily scraping and remaking all the wit, lore and gibberish accumulated over 30 blessed years of the internet. Here's a cut from a Mustard Plays interview with Fortnite product management director Dan Walsh, in which he comments upon the issue of Fortnite players using latter-day generative AI tools to conjure up thumbnail images for their profiles.

While Epic aren't, Walsh says, about to use any genAI when creating their own assets such as character models for Fortnite, they don't really care if players do, as long as the resulting images don't break any rules around graphic violence or similar. Beyond that, Walsh argues that generated images are becoming so tricky to spot that the idea of banning their usage in a game like Fortnite is impractical. Hmmm.

"A beautifully made retro-inspired RPG that will instantly transport you back to the 16-bit golden years, for better or worse," was how Katherine Castle (RPS in peace) summarised Sea Of Stars, a Chrono Trigger-style pixelart sojourn down memory lane from Sabotage Studios, creators of The Messenger. I imagine it's better rather than worse for the addition of some sizeable, circus-themed free DLC, Throes Of The Watchmaker.

Out 20th May, the expansion adds a new playable character, Arty, together with an estimated eight hours of new areas, music, dungeons, minigames, enemies, bosses, puzzles, and playable classes for original protagonists Valere and Zale. Run your rose-tinted retinas over this trailer.

Lost Soul Aside Release Date Delayed by 3 Months

During the February 2025 State of Play, Ultizero and Sony assigned Lost Soul Aside a May 30, 2025 release date, but now it's delayed. While the Steam page still reflects that China Hero Project game's original date, a new announcement confirmed the developer pushed back its launch by three months. It will now appear on the PS5 and PC on August 29, 2025.

The official statement about Lost Soul Aside being delayed offered a very brief explanation for it not showing up when expected. Basically, it is about quality control. Ultizero wants to ensure the game will be in the best possible position at launch. This means the three months will be used to "polish" it.

Here's Yang Bing's official statement about Lost Soul Aside:

"We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

As a reminder, we follow Kaser in Lost Soul Aside. He and his sister were a part of the GLIMMER resistance group fighting against a corrupt emperor and his government, but the invasion of interdimensional invaders changed their entire focus. Especially since Louisa was lost in the process. Kaser now faces these new opponents to save his sister and all humankind.

The last trailer for the title offered a little more insight into its story and gameplay, and you can see it below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EKvNt4bijE

Now that Lost Soul Aside is delayed, the new release date for the PS5 and PC game is August 29, 2025.

Watch the Last Gawr Gura Graduation Mini Live Concert Today last

Gawr Gura announced her final concert performance, as the Hololive Vtuber will hold a Graduation Mini Live on YouTube at 5pm PT/8pm ET on April 30, 2025.  Her last day with the company is May 1, 2025.

Details about the Gawr Gura Graduation Mini Live concert are quite slim. She didn't note how long it will be or how many special guests might appear to sing with her. In the case of Nanashi Mumei's last concert, it mostly featured her performing solo. This also means we don't know if she'll perform her last original song that she released in April 2025, "Ash Again."

Here's the placeholder for that final performance:

https://www.youtube.com/live/EAdh6m3E3UI

Ahead of this upcoming concert performance, we saw two notable, recent streams from Gawr Gura ahead of her graduation. First, she appeared on Kiara Takanashi's Holotalk, and she performed an unarchived karaoke stream after that.

You can watch that "talk show" appearance below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ash9FVn3trc

Kiara also featured Mumei on Holotalk ahead of her graduation, with the two talking about various topics and sharing memories.

As a reminder, this marks the second Hololive English Myth departure. Amelia Watson left and stepped back to an affiliate role with the company in September 2024. However, because she is an affiliate, this means she can return sometimes. She showed up for Kiara's recent Kiara & Friends: Hip Cover Song Spring Concert to sing a song with her and Koseki Bijou. She showed up at the about the 11 minute mark.

Vtuber Gawr Gura will graduate from Hololive on May 1, 2025. The three remaining members of Myth, the first English generation of Vtubers Cover launched, are Calliope Mori, Kiara Takanashi, and Ninomae Ina'nis.

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley & Skytree Village Switch Release Date Set

We now know when the Switch versions of the 3DS original Harvest Moon games The Lost Valley and Skytree Village will launch, as Natsume shared the release date. It will debut on the system on July 3, 2025.

There aren't any special anniversaries associated with that date. The first original 3DS entry, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, first debuted in the US in November 2014, before showing up in Europe and Australia in June 2015. As a reminder, that installment doesn't offer an actual village to visit. Instead, you have to wait for folks from Hillsville to visit the valley where your cabin is to interact with them. Harvest Moon: Skytree Village followed that release in November 2016 in the US, followed by a 2017 debut in Australia and Europe.

The last update regarding this 3DS to Switch Harvest Moon collection involved its pre-order bonus. Instead of a plush toy, like ones that accompanied past releases, the incentive here is an acrylic standee featuring animals in front of a barn and the game's logo.

Neither game of these two games appeared in Japan. This is because they marked the start of Natsume's original line of Harvest Moon games. Previously, it released Marvelous' Bokujou Monogatari titles under that name outside Japan. Since then, Marvelous handles them with XSEED as Story of Seasons, with the next mainline entry in that base series being the return of the DS game Grand Bazaarto the Switch as Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

Natsume's Cozy Bundle with Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley and Harvest Moon: Skytree Village will be on the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2025. Both games also appeared on the 3DS.

FFVII Ever Crisis Academy Sephiroth Weapon Is a Folding Ruler Tifa

The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis high school alternate universe Ever Crisis Academy Seven event kicked off on April 30, 2025, and the free weapon we can earn for young Sephiroth from FFVII The First Soldier is the Folding Ruler. This ties in with the other confirmed weapons, which include a harisen paper fan for Barret (Mr B) and a Class President's Bracelet for Tifa. In addition to the event being live, there is also a first FFVII Ever Crisis Academy banner with weapons for Tifa and Glenn and an Escalation Challenge boss fight with Mr B and Big Bad Aerith.

The storyline for the AU is called Ever Crisis Academy Seven: Episode - Brawler is how someone gets the new Sephiroth Folding Ruler weapon in FFVII Ever Crisis. While it is a folding item, it is fully extended so he can use it as a sword during a fight. It and another wallpaper of characters dressed in school uniforms will be rewards for going through this storyline and its missions. The Escalation Challenge fight will include Role Stream Noble Memories for upgrading characters. The Healer role is specifically mentioned, so it's uncertain if Attacker, Supporter, and Tank items will also appear as rewards.

As for the new Tifa FFVII Ever Crisis Ever Crisis Academy Seven banner, it features the Glenn Ogrekiller Ultimate weapon, her Class President's Bracelet, and her Seventh High School Uniform gear. Her new weapon features the Student Council Windstrike C Ability, which deals wind damage to a single enemy and increases all allies physical attack as long as her health is over 50%. The Seventh High School Uniform has a  Physical and Magic Ward R Ability that increases her phys and mag defense by 15%, and it references her costume's Chocobo heart earrings with a Class President's Earring R Ability that increases wind damage by 30% and gives a 20% boost to phys ability damage when her Attack Stance Command Gauge is maxed out.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available on the PC and mobile devices, and the FFVII Ever Crisis Academy high school AU event and banners will run until May 28, 2025.

New Quintessential Quintuplets Game Being Announced on Characters' Birthday

Mages announced it is working on another new The Quintessential Quintuplets game, and it will reveal it on the main characters' birthday next week. In the series, Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano were born on May 5, 2000. So at 9:45am JST on May 5, 2025, the Japanese showcase will appear on YouTube. That's 5:45pm PT/8:45pm ET on May 4, 2025.  It won't appear in English.

Details about this installment are quite slim at the moment. However, Mages has made multiple The Quintessential Quintuplets titles in the past, and it is likely the new one will be a visual novel like them. This new one will also appear on consoles, just like the last ones. The exact platforms weren't mentioned. However, previous games did show up on the PS4, Switch, and PC.

Past games offered opportunities for players to get close to the five Nakano sisters by stepping into Futaro Uesugi's shoes to experience memories with them. (In some cases, even his sister Raiha appears.) There also tend to be multiple endings exploring the possibilities of what happens if he ends up with each one of them.

There's no word yet regarding an English release for this new title Two of the three last ones did appear outside Japan. Spike Chunsoft picked them up, and it even released them as a possible dual pack at the same time. The first one was Memories of a Quintessential Summer, and it involved some stat raising to help the sisters prepare for exams in addition to spending time with them when trapped on an island getaway. That was followed by the more straightforward visual novel called Five Memories Spent with You. The most recent one that wasn't localized is Five Promises Made with Her.

We'll learn more about the next new The Quintessential Quintuplets game on the Nakano's sisters' birthday on May 5, 2025. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, and Kodansha handled the manga worldwide.

Tokyu Fortnite Project produces accurate Shibuya game map

Tenshabi revealed the Tokyu Fortnite Project, where it produces an accurate map of Shibuya using the same game. The company works on the project together with Tokyu Corporation, and they also plan to regularly update it by adding more features like mini-games and synchronizing with any real-life building updates.

The map will primarily cover the area in front of the Shibuya Station. People will be able to use Fortnite avatars to explore the virtual representation of the real-world area. Tenshabi and Tokyu also project the map to be utilized in educational use cases, including disaster evacuation simulations.

In addition, Tenshabi mentioned that it will also expand the project worldwide to let prospective foreign tourists experience the accurate Shibuya map. However, it added a disclaimer that it runs the project entirely on its own without any sponsorship or support from Epic Games.

Tenshabi has also published an official trailer for the Tokyu Fortnite Project's Shibuya map on its YouTube channel:

The original Fortnite is a battle royale shooting game available worldwide on Windows PC, macOS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, Android, and iOS. Epic Games will also release a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game on the same day the new console launches on June 5, 2025.

Tenshabi and Tokyu will showcase the Tokyu Fortnite Project's in-game Shibuya map with a playable tag game build at the SusHi (Sustainable High City) Tech Tokyo 2025 event, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight on May 8-10, 2025.

Sea of Stars Free DLC Release Date Set

The release date is set for the Sea of Stars free DLC expansion called Throes of the Watchmaker. We'll get access to a new storyline, character, and classes for Valere and Zale on May 20, 2025. This applies to every platform, so it will show up on consoles and PCs at the same time.

The announcement included some details about how this all will work. First, we will need to reach a certain point in the story to unlock it. There's a certain point in the story after defeating a Dweller boss that the party is able to fly to new locations on the world map, rather than sail there. Once you hit that point, The Vespertine crew can get you started with the Throes of the Watchmaker campaign. We'll head into the tiny town of Horloge and go through its campaign to learn new secrets. When we do, Artificer will become a playable character following the unit's NPC debut in the story. Valere will also gain acrobat abilities and Zale will become a juggler, to tie in with the cursed carnival theme of the new storyline.

Here's the latest trailer for the free Sea of Stars Throes of the Watchmaker DLC that confirms its release date. As a reminder, this additional add-on will last about eight hours.

Review: All in Abyss Gets as Gritty as Danganronpa

A number of games attempted to capitalize not only on the Danganronpa experience, but its vibe, and Acquire and WSS Playground's All in Abyss: Judge the Fake is the latest. It's not a courtroom drama with murder investigations in any way, mind you. However, there's still a death game going on, and this time the battlefield involves Texas hold'em Poker with some light visual novel and RPG elements. It leans hard into the grittiness! The result is a game that feels unique, but mechanically falters.

Asuha doesn't know who she is, but she believes she's the most gifted, luckiest gambler out there. To put that to the test, as well as experience a thrill, she heads to a dark and desperate city where gambling runs rampant and five Witches rule over every area and defeat anyone who dares challenge them in the Coliseum. After losing everything to the witch Ulu, Asuha doesn't back down, commits to another match, and prepares to expose and permanently defeat every Witch. It also means finding out what's going on behind the scenes in the city.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziVua87ZHBM&ab_channel=AllianceArts%2F%E3%82%A2%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%82%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B9%E3%83%BB%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%84

First, the general vibe and no hope, dismal atmosphere with extremely flawed people in All in Abyss absolutely calls to mind Danganronpa. Asuha is an edgy antihero who basically is a scammer herself. The humor is dark, though funny. It's typically very dark, though a few situations can be a bit warmer. In general, I'll say the story starts out promising, I feel like it ended up being at its best in the first three chapters. From there, I feel like it dwindled a bit due to pacing issues and repetition due to nature of the gameplay loop. Also, as this is a death game where lives are on the line, people are going to die and it will be dark. Like in the Kazutaka Kodaka series, there is a "scene" for each one in a Punishment Report. These can be sexualized and dark, which can get uncomfortable, and there's typically detailed, extended narration going over exactly what's being done to the victim. I hated it. The fanservice present outside of these Punishment Reports is pretty normal and expected from this sort of game, but I feel like these parts go too far.

As far as All in Abyss gameplay goes, it's divided into an investigation phase that also features NPC Texas hold'em matches and the big match against the chapter's Witch, which again might make things feel a little like Danganronpa. After you find out who Asuha will face that chapter, you need to figure out exactly how that person is cheating. This means meeting with certain people, collecting items, and going through NPC matches to gain the experiences and resources needed to unlock active and passive abilities for Asuha. It's okay, but the non-boss matches are rather easy to win and aren't exactly thrilling.

Speaking of, the Texas hold'em Poker hands in All in Abyss also feel a bit inspired by Danganronpa. This is mainly due to the exposition that happens during matches against Witches and the inclusion of passive and active skills. In general, it's standard Texas hold'em. You have two cards dealt to you. You look to the five community cards to make your hand. If your five cards between the two you hold and three face-up on the table make a hand that is better than the one your opponent can make, you win.

In the case of All in Abyss, there are other elements to consider. The amount of chips you and your opponent have are your HP. Passive skills can do things like increase your luck, ensuring you'd get a card that would work for you and help you win, give you a hint about cards your opponent may hold, or help make certain sorts of hands for yourself better. Active skills can actually affect the battle, such as keeping them from folding and forcing them to fold. Certain actions can increase the multiplier of the bet, earning more money/damaging your opponent more. Folding gives you an out, but still sacrifices a substantial portion of cash.

The thing is that the balancing isn't great. Certain skills are much more useful than others. You always should equip Luck of the Draw and Sharp Eye, to hopefully set yourself up. Ace in the Hole is pretty essential, since it gives you a card you might need. Sweat 'em also ends up being really great, since it forces the enemy to fold. The standard, faceless opponents get to be too easy. The bosses sometimes will involve a gimmick that might force you to play in a way you haven't been for the entire game or lock out a skill you might rely on. If you really enjoy Poker, you'll probably have a good time with these matches. Especially the boss fights.

I know I'd have been be okay with those gameplay choices if wasn't for Poker Royale. This is an extended segment that comes up later. I feel like it drags things out, even though it was updated to be less frustrating. There are some good Texas hold'em matches in this later half, but I felt like the pacing, execution, and narrative choices meant it didn't feel as fun or satisfying as earlier ones. Especially given the narrative choices and there being no warning that your money doesn't carry over to chapters, so there's no sense in grinding.

Sometimes I feel like if All in Abyss: Judge the Fake ended after the third chapter, I'd like the game a lot more. After that point, it feels like the other characters didn't end up being as engaging and the Texas Hold'em hands and execution felt more tedious and uninteresting. I would say it's close to being the epitome of an uneven game. The idea is interesting! For the first few hours, the Poker parts can feel fun! Some of the early Witches and scenarios made me want to quickly get through to find out what happened. But I feel like the design directions and some choices make it fall apart at points.

All in Abyss: Judge the Fake is available for the Switch, PS5, and PC

Vahtacen's Secret pillar in Oblivion Remastered

The Mages Guild questline is one of the longest in all of Oblivion Remastered, but one of the toughest quests you'll complete for it is called "Vahtacen's Secret." This is the third quest you take on at Arcane University, and it will likely stump you more than anything else in Cyrodiil.

To learn how to complete Vahtacen's Secret and get past that magic pillar, check out the guide below.

How to start Vahtacen's Secret in Oblivion Remastered

You can only begin this quest after you've made your way to Arcane University with all seven Mages Guild recommendations and completed two quests for Raminus Polus. After an encounter with the Count of Skingrad, Polus will assign you the Vahtacen's Secret quest, which begins by speaking with another mage, Irlav Jarol, in another building at the university.

Speaking with Irlav Jarol about the quest

When you speak to Irlav Jarol, he'll tell you about a secret research project titled Vahtacen. Jarol tasks you with visiting its location at an Ayleid Ruin south of Cheydinhal. There, you'll meet the head of the project to learn more about it.

The location of Vahtacen's Secret on the map

The easiest way to reach the Vahtacen ruins is to fast travel to the Cheydinhal Stables in the northeast part of Cyrodiil and head southeast from there. The cave is marked on your HUD compass.

How to activate the magic pillar in Vahtacen in Oblivion Remastered

When you arrive at the ruins, head inside and travel down the narrow corridors while following the green quest marker.

Eventually, you'll reach a large cavern where you can speak to an Argonian named Skaleel, who is extremely annoyed at the project they've been tasked with, but they still fill you in on the details. Apparently, there's a large pillar in the ruins that has unknown magical properties, and none of the other mages have been able to crack the mystery behind it. All Skaleel can tell you is that you need to use single-effect spells to try and activate the pillar. Anything more complicated and you'll be quickly damaged.

Speaking to Skaleel

After Skaleel finishes talking, follow your green quest marker down a path through a gate to reach the cavern with the magical pillar in it. In each corner of the room, you can see four red crystals along with tablets on the wall that read different magical phrases when they're activated. The red crystals shoot lightning at you if you use an improper spell while in the room.

To crack the code of the pillar, here's what you need to do:

  • The tablets you can read on the walls translate to specific forms of magicka
  • You need to cast spells based on these specific magicka forms while doing it in the correct order
  • Cast the following spells in order:

    • Fire Damage spell (Flare, Weak Fireball)
    • Frost Damage spell (Cold Touch, Snowball)
    • Damage Magicka spell (Sever Magicka)
    • Fortify Magicka spell (Fortify Magicka, Elevate Magicka)

Spell scrolls inside a chest in the ruins

  • If you don't have some of these specific spells or you're not at the right level, head out the way you came in, and right next to a table, there's a chest. Look inside the chest to loot the spells you need.
  • With all the spells in your spellbook, use each one at the pillar in the order we've laid out above. You need to ensure you're standing basically on top of the pillar while casting these spells, otherwise they won't trigger. You'll know the spell worked if the pillar's walls move.

Stand as close as possible to the pillar. Screenshot by Destructoid

  • It's wise to save after successfully activating the pillar each time, as you might only have one of the necessary scrolls.
  • Once all four spells have been cast correctly, the pillar sinks into the ground, and you can now head down some stairs to a new door.

Finishing Vahtacen's Secret in Oblivion Remastered

Now that you're through the pillar, follow your quest marker to the next location. You'll have to go through some more caverns and tight hallways, most of which are filled with traps and ghosts, but just keep following the quest marker until you reach a huge room with an elevated stone platform.

Go past the platform and head up some stairs on the other side of the room. On the right side of those stairs, you can find a button to push that raises a stone staircase so you can access the elevated platform.

Head up to the platform and press a button on a pillar near the Ayleid Crate in the center. This lifts up the crate and reveals an Ancient Elven Helm, which you can take. You'll have to battle some ghosts here, so make sure you use magic to take them down.

Once you have the helm, head back up the stairs on the other end of the room to head through a newly revealed doorway. Keep going until you're back in the pillar room, and then make your way back to Skaleel. Tell her you found something, and she'll recommend you return to Arcane University to tell Jarol about it.

Fast travel to the university, follow the quest marker to Jarol, explain what you found, and then the Vahtacen's Secret quest is complete in Oblivion Remastered. You can now go to the Arch-Mage's Lobby to find Raminus Polus and accept your next quest for the Mages Guild.

If you want to stick around at the Mages Guild, you can make your own spells if you have enough gold.

The return to Verdansk has gone up in smoke, and now it's time to hop on the train to another fun-filled update with new features in battle royale like a new weapon, new modes, and even Hollywood action superstar Seth Rogen!

Here's what to expect from the newest update in Warzone when it goes live on May 1.

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded early patch notes

Weapon buffs and nerfs

When the new season goes live on May 1, expect buffs and nerfs to existing weapons to help shake things up, including a big nerf for the AK-74, but surprising buffs for older guns like the M4 and TAQ-56 from MWII.

For the full list of weapon changes, visit the CoD website.

Ranked Play

For the first time ever, Ranked Play comes to Verdansk. Rank up by getting kills and placing well to earn rewards and climb through the ranks. Here are all of the rewards to get this season:

  • Get five Eliminations: "Crownbreaker" Weapon Sticker
  • Get 50 Eliminations: "Ranked Renegade" Weapon Camo
  • Get 250 Eliminations: "Exile's Resolve" Assault Rifle Blueprint
  • Silver: "Platatag" Emblem

Train Station opens

Chugga chugga CHOO CHOO! The train is back in Verdansk, opening up Train Station as a POI for more looting opportunities. Plus, the train has embarked from the station and will now travel around the map carrying high-tier loot and contracts.

Seth Rogen and another "dope" event

Image via Activision

CoD's incessant need to harp on marijuana usage comes full circle in Season Three Reloaded, as Seth Rogen himself joins the roster of operators alongside the High Art event, which includes a $10 event pass to dress up as the actor for some reason.

New SMG: Ladra

Image via Activision

A new potential close-range meta weapon, the Ladra SMG, will be unlockable as part of the High Art event's free track.

"What this SMG lacks in power it more than makes up for with a blistering fire rate that's effective even in mid-range fights due to the weapon's low recoil," Activision said. "Consider an Extended Mag to cut down on reloads and aim for the head to improve your damage output. Pairs well with Scavenger and the Assault Pack, giving you the ammo reserves you need to keep up the pressure and continue spitting out damage."

Limited time modes

Image via Activision

High Trip Resurgence is a fun, "high" octane mode in Verdansk where players will "deploy with one of several predetermined weapons and their fists," but then be able to "seek out Shades found in supply caches, giving the operator various boosts, including faster reloads, super speed, and no fall damage."

And then there's Massive Resurgence, which ups the player count in the mode to 120, causing pure mayhem across Verdansk.

This article will be updated with more information when it becomes available.

Three new maps join BO6's multiplayer offerings with the update, including Signal (six-vs-six or two-vs-two), Haven (six-vs-six), and a pothead repainting of Nuketown called Blazetown. Signal is the most interesting one as it turns back the clock to Black Ops 1 and brings players back to the notorious Numbers Station from its legendary campaign.

New weapon: Ladra SMG

Image via Activision

The newest gun in BO6 is coming as a reward as an in-game event in Season Three Reloaded. According to Activision, the Ladra SMG has an "extreme rate of fire, excellent range, and low recoil," and "headshots can help offset lower base damage."

Weapon buffs and nerfs

Some slight tweaks have come for new guns like the Kilo 141 and CR-56 AMAX, which have had minor reductions to their medium damage range. Meanwhile, big buffs are inbound for the C9's 10mm Auto 30-Round Mag attachment.

For the full list of weapon changes in BO6 for this update, visit the CoD website for all the info.

New Perk

A new Recon Perk for slot two, Vendetta will be up for grabs for free as an event reward.

"On respawn, mark your killer's last known position for a short duration," its description reads. "Get a bonus score for eliminating that enemy. The Vigilance Perk counters being marked by Vendetta."

New Goblin Mk2 attachment

Another event reward, the Goblin Mk2 7.62 Mini-Rocket Conversion turns the rifle into a full-auto weapon that fires rocket ammunition, offering splash damage at the expense of bullet velocity and fire rate.

New limited time events

Two events, Blaze of Glory and the Call of Duty Endowment Got Your Six event will be the main source of new content for players to grind through and unlock in the second half of season three, likely taking up the majority of May before a new season begins at the end of the month or beginning of June.

New BO6 Zombies content

Image via Activision

For Zombies fans, the newest map Shattered Veil will have its Directed Mode debut in the new update. But there will also be a limited-time event called Zombies Snacks and the introduction of a new Field Upgrade, Frost Blast.

This article will be updated with more information when it becomes available.

Combat Flannel Operator skin

Monster Energy and Call of Duty continue their standout collaboration with a new twist for the HusKerrs Howl tournament. Enter the Combat Flannel Operator skin—rugged, stylish, and completely free. Here's how to unlock this Monster Energy gear and other valuables.

How to unlock the Combat Flannel Operator in BO6

You can get the free Combat Flannel Operator by tuning into the HusKerr's Howls tournament on May 2 at 12pm PT/2pm CT/3pm ET. The stream will be available on Monster Energy's Twitch channel, where you can watch a high-stakes 2v2 challenge. It will serve as the finals day, following two qualifier rounds held in the days prior.

To prepare for the stream, ensure that your Twitch and Activision accounts are linked. Look under the Social Networks section on your account and set up your Twitch from there. Then, when the HusKerr's Howls event goes live, the new Operator skin will be yours for the taking, provided you've watched enough of the stream. At the time of writing, there's no official confirmation on how long you need to watch, but you can always check your Twitch Campaign page to see how much time you have left.

There's also no set duration for the stream; it will depend on how long the competitors play. Hopefully, it will last long enough to provide a decent window to claim rewards, as they're only available while the HusKerrs Howl event is live. Once the stream ends, the free Operator skin will likely become unavailable; however, there may be another opportunity later.

How to get the Monster Energy charm and weapon blueprint in BO6

Besides the sweet new Operator skin, you can earn two more rewards during the HusKerrs Howl tournament. Watch any of the participating livestream channels for 30 minutes to get the Monster Ice Cold Bling, followed by 45 minutes for the Monster Extended Energy weapon blueprint. Here's a list of the channels you can watch:

As long as one of the streamers is live, you should see a pop-up for the Monster Energy rewards. Select this notification, and it will take you to the Campaigns section to begin your Monster Energy x Call of Duty adventures. You can also check the Inventory section to track your progress toward claiming both cosmetics.

If one of the streamers is offline, I recommend switching to another channel until you find at least one that's live. Staying active and rotating between channels can help ensure steady progress. In return, you should receive the two Monster Energy rewards, provided your Twitch and Activision accounts are properly linked—so double-check that to avoid missing out. For those interested in unlocking more Operators, be sure to check out our guides on Season 3 Reloaded's Jay and Silent Bob and Seth Rogen skins, which tie in with the overall seasonal event themes.

Social media isn't purely toxic negativity and pain these days. Well... it mostly is, and no one can argue that. But every once in a while, a meme comes along that lets us feel joy again—if only for a little while.

Enter the "100 men vs. one gorilla" debate. Who would win in a fight to the death? One hundred normal human men or one silverback gorilla? The funny debate has raged for days, spanning media to include primatologists explaining the battle, and everyone chiming in about what would happen. It's been hilarious to see the memes and exchanges born from the prompt, and a wonderful change of pace from the normal dread we see on social media these days.

Mario in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Image via Nintendo

The argument over men vs. gorilla usually boils down to sheer numbers against pure strength (like, "would you rather fight one elephant-sized duck or 10 duck-sized gorillas?"). A gorilla has the strength and ability to snap a human like a twig, but would it be overwhelmed by so many men at once? And really, no battle like this ever turns out as planned, so variables must be considered.

Case in point, we have the video game version of this juggernaut battle in Super Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Or, regular Mario vs. Donkey Kong. What about 100 Marios vs. one Donkey Kong? Well, I asked Destructoid staffers about who they'd pick to win—and it got heated.

First, I laid down some ground rules. There are no power-ups allowed. This is all about numbers against strength. If any of the Marios could equip a Tanookie suit or pick up a flower and begin throwing fireballs (or, heaven forbid, turn into elephants like in Super Mario Wonder), then it wouldn't be much of a battle. Men vs. beast. As primal as it gets.

Here's what we came up with. And yes, this is our job.

DESTRUCTOID DEBATES: 100 Marios vs. one Donkey Kong

Mario vs Donkey Kong is a part of the February 2024 games list
Image via Nintendo

Scott Duwe (Staff Writer): No power-ups, pure numbers vs. strength. 100 Marios (normal size, no mushrooms!) vs. one Donkey Kong, who would win and why?

Rachel Samples (Editor-in-Chief): That man is little, but he's resourceful. I don't think he's gonna be blindly rushing in on an enraged DK. Unless his woman's in danger.

Scott: Yeah, I think not having Peach in the equation here favors DK, because Mario gets feral when it comes to his lady.

Madison Benson (Staff Writer): I would not put it past Mario to fight dirty to win, though. Poke DK in the eyes or something.

Adam Newell (Assigning Editor): You assume DK is just going to sit there and wait for them to plan? He's attacking first. No time to plan when a seven-foot gorilla is charging at you. If it's a strength contest as well, DK beats Mario purely by Bananza gameplay. Dude is punching through solid metal and blocks in seconds, whereas Mario can't break question blocks when they are hollowed out.

Kristina Ebanez (Staff Writer): I would say Donkey Kong, too. All the big ape has to do is constantly smash down, and the little men would just get an instant K.O. If the Marios had a fighting chance with power-ups, maybe they could win. But, since it's 100 Marios with no buffs, I don't think they could jump their way to victory.

Scott: But is there really no chance of DK being totally overwhelmed by the sheer number of tiny Italian men? Would he be able to just swat them all away? Could he do that if he were just being MAMA MIA'd and WAHOO'd by the dozen?

Kacee Fay (Staff Writer): Maybe Mario does have a chance. 100 is a lot, and that's 100 brains too, all of which would easily be committed to working together as a team since they're all the same person, so maybe there's a shot he'd be able to find some way to strategically overwhelm DK.

Scott: I agree. I really think we're not giving Mario enough credit here, because he is very resourceful, as Rachel said. He's a bit of a "MacGyver" when it comes to using what he has at his disposal to win, and I think the combined Mario army would figure out a way to make this a battle... even at the cost of several lives.

Image via Nintendo

Kacee: Yeah, I'd probably say Mario would win even though he's the underdog because I just think he's got a large team that could figure out a plan. Like you said, it would definitely cost some lives, but I think he could do it. Being underestimated is also an advantage, potentially if DK doesn't view him as a serious threat.

Rachel: Can DK use dead Marios as a weapon?

Scott: Um, doesn't Mario just kinda shrug and fall off the screen when he dies?

Adam: Depends. In 3D Marios, he does die and respawn at a fixed location, but there's still a body, like Odyssey and 64. 2D platformer Mario just jumps off screen.

Rachel: In Mario Kart, he gets returned to life via Koopa.

Scott: I don't think that applies. This isn't a kid's race, or even a demolition derby. It's war. It's a fight to the death.

Rachel: Also, DK can tornado his way through a crowd of Marios pretty easily, I think. Like his spin move. How does Mario even counter that? I guess hops?

Scott: All he can do is jump, now that I think about it. DK can jump and roll and swing his gorilla fists.

Madison: Does his jump go above DK? I could totally imagine the Marios trying to dodge DK, only to jump on each other's heads and kill 20 percent of their team instantly.

Mario and Luigi Brothership Bros attack kicking red shell
Image via Nintendo

Scott: I wonder how many jump boop hits it would take to kill the DK.

Rachel: Depends, how much does a 5'1" man weigh?

Scott: Well, he's portly.

Rachel: And that is a man who ain't missing no cannolis.

Scott: We're getting off track. Can the Marios kill DK before he kills all 100 of them? I think that's the important question here. And honestly, I don't know.

Rachel: They just need to stay alive long enough to create a Mario blanket and suffocate him. Also, don't forget he beat a hedgehog on speed at the Olympics.

As you can see, there's no definitive Destructoid winner. Here's where you come in, dear readers, as we open the communication lines to you in the comments below. Who do you have in this epic fight of one big monkey against a legion of little plumbers?

Oblivion Remastered Hatreds Soul bow

For most Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered players, your playstyle will fall into some type of melee, archery, or magician category. While having a good bow is especially helpful for stealthy characters who want to pull off quick assassinations from afar, any character can benefit from acquiring one.

Although Oblivion Remastered has several great bow options for any character build, a few have long been considered the best, even before the remaster came out. Here's a detailed step-by-step guide on unlocking the best bow for your Oblivion character.

How to find the best bow in Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered

The best bow you can get your hands on in Oblivion Remastered is Hatreds Soul from the southern Chorrol Oblivion Gate. After completing the Dagon Shrine main story quest, you'll unlock this gate permanently until you go in and clear it out. Along the way, you'll pick up this bow by entering the gate's Fume Vaults, traveling to the Embers of Hatred, and reaching its top floor.

Oblivion Remastered Chorrol gate location
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your first step is traveling to Chorrol's Gate of Oblivion. You can find it directly south of the town, letting you discover it shortly after arriving here. Head out of the south gates or fast-travel to Chorrol to access the gate. However, if you want the best version of this bow available, wait until you're level 19 or higher before entering this gate, or hope you enter another version later in your playthrough.

How to find the Fume Vaults door

Once you arrive, you'll quickly notice that this is a large region. Fortunately, you can easily access the Hatreds Soul bow through the Fume Vaults door on the region's northwest side. Below is a complete step-by-step to accessing this spot:

  1. Enter the Chorrol Oblivion gate.
  2. Turn right and run northwest along the path.
  3. Continue forward until you spot a large metal bridge-like structure. Jump across the lava to the boulders just before it.
  4. Cross the metal bridge and continue directly north, avoiding the lava, until you reach the land's tip.
  5. Jump down the cliff onto some lower-level terrain. Turn 180 degrees to spot the Fume Vaults door hidden inside the rocks.

Before finding the Hatreds Soul bow, you'll need to navigate the Fume Vaults area until you find the Embers of Hatred door. This'll lead you to a tower like those you traverse during Oblivion's main story quests. Enter this door, defeat the two Dremora Hatred Keepers, and pick up their keys of Dark Hate.

Collecting both keys lets you visit the Embers of Hatred's second floor through the Halls of Dark Hate. Climb the ramp to step on a portal, bringing you directly to the Hatreds Soul Bow's prize sac. On the opposite side is the Hatreds Heart if you want a new weapon and have enough strength to effectively wield a mace.

Hatreds Soul bow stats

Oblivion Remastered's Hatreds Soul bow is the best in the game, with a base damage of 15 points at low levels and up to 24 when you're level 19 or higher. It also deals Fire Damage with every hit, alongside giving your opponent a speed reduction debuff for anywhere between 10 to 45 seconds, depending on your level. If you use the Hatred Soul arrows as well, you'll gain Soul Trap per strike, letting you absorb your enemy's souls into soul gems and making it easier to recharge your bow in the future.

Oblivion Remastered Hatreds Soul bow stats
Screenshot by Destructoid

Overall, this is a fantastic bow to pick up after you've progressed halfway through Oblivion's main story. While the level 19 version is the strongest in the game, picking it up at early levels can still be a massive upgrade, especially if you manage to find an upgraded version later through random gates.

Alternative bow options in Oblivion Remastered

You have a few extra bow options if your character isn't quite level 19 or you have a low-level version of the Hatreds Soul that you want to upgrade. Below are some alternative bow options and where to find them in Oblivion Remastered:

Bow Where to find Stats
Frostwyrm Defeat the Uderfrykte Matron at Dive Rock (north of Cheydinhal) Damage: 15+
Frost Damage on Strike (15 points)
Bow of Infliction Purchase from Daenlin at The Archer's Paradox in Bravil Damage: 14+
Damage Agility on Strike (5 points)
Drain Marksman on Strike (15 points for 60 seconds)
Bow of Infernal Frost Purchase from M'raaj-Dar in The Dark Brotherhood Damage: 8+
Fire Damage on Strike (10 points)
Frost Damage on Strike (10 points)

All three of these bows have pros and cons, from the Bow of Infliction having solid damage but mediocre enchantments to the Bow of Infernal Frost having the opposite problem. The Bow of Infernal Frost is also exclusive to The Dark Brotherhood members, while Frostwyrm is available as soon as you discover the Horror of Dive Rock quest and defeat the Uderfrykte Matron. Their effectiveness will also depend on your level and the elemental damage you need for your fight, making these all useful in their own ways.

AC: Shadows Claws of Awaji expansion

A month after launch, Assassin's Creed: Shadows is just beginning. Upcoming postgame quests promise deeper stories, from side character origins to Yasuke and Naoe's journey. However, as the past expands, the modern-day timeline grows more distant, leaving many wondering how it will fit into future installments.

When Assassin's Creed: Shadows was first released, the absence of a strong modern-day timeline quickly became a point of discussion. Players voiced their concerns that the game's focus had shifted too far into the past, leaving the present narrative largely unexplored. Even someone with a more casual understanding of the Assassin's Creed lore could feel this shift. With the upcoming updates, it seems Ubisoft is further solidifying this approach, as the emphasis continues to lie on expanding the rich history of the past, with only a few breadcrumbs on the game's modern side.

While the modern-day timeline remains sidelined, the upcoming postgame content still deserves attention. The first Story Drop in early May will introduce the fascinating tale of Jesuit scholar Luis Frois, shedding light on his historical connections to Japan. Additionally, parkour fans can look forward to the return of classic mechanics, such as back and side ejects with wall climbing, bringing back the traditional Assassin's Creed movement experience.

AC: Shadows postgame roadmap
Image via Ubisoft

By June, Assassin's Creed: Shadows will receive another Story Drop for the Summer, featuring a new ally, fresh difficulty settings, and the long-awaited removal of headgear in cutscenes. The rest of the year will bring a New Game+ mode, additional stories, and the free Claws of Awaji Expansion, continuing Yasuke and Naoe's adventures after the epilogue. While it may seem like the modern-day content is nowhere to be found, the roadmap does hint at "Animus content." I know it's a stretch, but it might just suggest a faint return to more present-day features.

Given that the roadmap trailer has been largely shaped by community feedback, there remains a glimmer of hope for the modern-day timeline, fueled by the desire of long-time fans. I believe there's a way Ubisoft could strike a balance between the past and present—something that wouldn't overwhelm newcomers with too much lore but would satisfy OG fans who crave that connection to the modern-day story. It could pave the way for the future of Assassin's Creed entries, where new and old fans alike can experience the game's wonders.

The post Assassin's Creed Shadows' postgame unpacks epilogue and NPC backstories, but no word on the modern-day timeline appeared first on Destructoid.

The Hero uses magic to fight in Oblivion Remastered.

Oblivion Remastered might have been a great launch for fans of the series, but the performance on PC has been less than desired.

FPS drops have been a consistent issue for PC users. Many players have reported issues with low FPS despite their system meeting the required standards. This guide will help you fix such issues if they pop up on your end. Doing so will help you to ensure that you get higher frames per second and enjoy better fidelity.

Best tips and tricks to fix low FPS in Oblivion Remastered

The main trick to increase the FPS is to ensure that your in-game settings are well-optimized. There are a few bugs in the game that can cause drops in the frame rate. Here are some potential solutions to the issue.

  • Upgrade to your system's graphics card driver. This becomes crucial if you're using a 50-series card, but the latest version will prevent drops in FPS when you're trying to run the game. It's also a great solution if you've been encountering crashes while loading the game.
  • Some users have reported incidents where they started encountering stutters and lags (due to low FPS) after they changed their in-game settings. There's a workaround for this problem. Always change any graphic settings from the main menu and then quit the game. It does take longer to play the game (since you've to quit and then reload the game), but it solves the stutters and frame drops that you might encounter.

Here are some more settings preferences that I have used daily to play Oblivion Remastered.

  • V-Sync has to be turned off. Turning it on does improve the visual fidelity, but it can also increase the load on your setup and result in potential crashes and frame drops.
  • I have been running the game with FPS capped at 60. While my system has handled higher frames, I have encountered occasional stutters. Capping it to 60 smoothed my in-game experience.

Oblivion Remastered promotional image
Image via Bethesda

Here's a full set of preferences I use, and so far, issues like FPS drops have been minimal (I use a Ryzen 5600G and RTX 3060).

  • Window Mode: Fullscreen
  • Display: 1920x1080
  • V-Sync: Off
  • Frame Limit: 60
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Screen Space Reflections: Off
  • View Distance: High
  • Effects Quality: Medium
  • Foliage Quality: Medium
  • Shadow Quality: Medium
  • Global Illumination Quality: Medium
  • Texture Quality: High
  • Reflection Quality: Medium
  • Post Processing Quality: Medium
  • Hair Quality: Medium
  • Cloth Quality: Medium
  • Lumen Hardware RT: Off
  • Lumen Software RT Quality: Low

Making these tweaks should allow you to ensure that there are minimal FPS drops and no incidents of loading crashes.

Sea of Stars Throes DLC

As a long-time fan of turn-based RPGs, it's been amazing to see Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and its devs get all sorts of praise. And now, I hope that praise can turn into more success for the genre, and here is an early chance for it to do so for one of its recent best titles.

Announced this morning, Throes of the Watchmaker is a free DLC expansion for the 2023 RPG Sea of Stars, featuring over eight hours of new areas, enemies, bosses, puzzles, and more, like new playable classes for existing characters and a new playable character named Arty.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgFi2jXwzVI&pp=0gcJCYQJAYcqIYzv

To put it plainly, Sea of Stars is a game that deserves your attention, much like Expedition 33. As many gamers have had a "wait, I like this" moment with the game after thinking they were not fans of turn-based RPGs, I think that Sea of Stars is another one that should get the same open-mindedness.

The similarities between Expedition 33 and Sea of Stars are pretty cool. Both are turn-based RPGs from small studios, both put a twist on the combat by adding timing and parrying, and both are priced lower than they probably should be (Expedition 33 is $49.99 and Sea of Stars is $34.99).

While Expedition 33 has made waves for being such a stellar game in the genre, and rightfully so, there hasn't been a shortage of really strong turn-based RPGs in recent years. Sea of Stars was one of my favorites that I played for a handful of hours after it launched, but I ended up in the hospital for a few weeks not long after that and have never found the time to go back and play it again. Hopefully, this DLC changes that.

Sea of Stars features a gorgeous retro aesthetic to go along with its turn-based battles, and it even has three-player couch co-op, which seems pretty unheard of these days. All of it makes for a very interesting prospect.

Throes of the Watchmaker is endgame content, so you won't be able to play it right away if you pick up Sea of Stars now, but it's most likely going to be a worthwhile investment. While its retro graphics may turn others away, especially considering how attractive Expedition 33's gorgeous AAA visuals are by comparison, I don't think it should. Give it a chance and you may find another favorite.

Image via Sabotage Studio

Sea of Stars is currently on sale on Xbox, but it's also included with Game Pass (and available on Steam and PS5 as well), so there's nothing to lose when it comes to giving it a shot. Throes of the Watchmaker launches on May 20.

The Widow running towards the portal in The Baron's Big Deal quest in Fortnite

Chapter Six, season two is nearly over in Fortnite, and there's just one quest left to tackle to bring an end to the overarching storyline. The Baron's Big Deal is the last story quest you can complete, and it's an essential one for understanding what happens next.

There are some decently tricky parts to this task, so successfully navigating through it can be a bit tough. Finishing it is crucial if you want to know how the storyline ends, though, so here's how to complete The Baron's Big Deal in Fortnite.

The Baron's Big Deal quest in Fortnite

To complete The Baron's Big Deal quest, you need to confront Daigo and Fletcher Kane to try and stop them from opening the portal. There are a few extra steps throughout this process, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to get done.

Witness Daigo and Fletcher Kane's scheme to enter the portal

The portal location on the map marked in Fortnite
Screenshot by Destructoid

To get this quest started, you need to travel to the portal northeast of Magic Mosses and northwest of Pumped Power. It's easiest to land there straight from the battle bus since there's a massive red beam in the sky guiding you to the right location. You also need to act fast since the next part of this quest tasks you with taking down the Baron.

Defeat the Baron before Daigo can enter the portal

Once you're at the right location, you need to take down the Baron as quickly as possible. Open any chests you find nearby to quickly stock up on loot, then jump right into battle. There will likely be other players trying to finish this task too, but just do your best to ignore them and focus on dealing damage against the Baron.

Defeating the Baron in Fortnite
Screenshot by Destructoid

There were two enemy players fighting him alongside me, and even though I wasn't the one who dealt the killing blow, this quest was still completed as soon as the Baron perished. It seems like you just need to be part of the crew taking him down to finish this task, so make sure you get at least one hit on him before he dies.

No matter how quickly you take down the Baron, Daigo will still make it through the portal. Defeating the Baron finishes the second main part of this quest, though, so you've now unlocked the Daigo's Fate Cinematic to learn what happens next.

If you arrive at the right spot and the Baron is missing, you'll have to wait until the next match to try again. He gets defeated pretty quickly since it's a key part of this task, and he drops a powerful Medallion, so head there from the battle bus for the best chance at getting this quest done.

How to view Daigo's Fate live event cinematic in Fortnite

You can view the Daigo's Fate cinematic from the Outlaws Story quest tab. It's granted as a reward once you've completed the other parts of The Baron's Big Deal quest, but it can only be viewed from the main menu. It's not a live event and instead is a short scene to complement the event you just witnessed.

The quest and cinematic are only available until the next season begins on May 2. You only have a short period of time to work through this special task, so get going on it as soon as you can.

Thieves Guild meeting in Oblivion Remastered.

So, you've acquired a few things that, maybe, weren't yours to take. While you may have gotten away scot-free, dealing with those stolen items is still worth considering. Thankfully, you can make some money with your five-finger discount; you just need to know who to sell to.

Oblivion Remastered allows players to live their best life in The Elder Scrolls' Imperial-controlled continent of Cyrodil. That means whether you want to be a noble knight of virtue or a dastardly scoundrel, you can play the game how you want. Naturally, that means players can lie, cheat, or steal to get ahead. And if you've joined the Dark Brotherhood, add assassinating innocents to that list.

Once you enter the world of thievery, you'll find that it can become quite a weight nuisance, as regular merchants want nothing to do with stolen goods. You'll need a special kind of merchant, a fence, to be precise. But every fence is locked behind association with a specific faction.

How to access fences

Waterfront beggar in Oblivion Remastered.
Screenshot by Destructoid

To start, players must seek out and join the Thieves Guild. But this organization doesn't work like the Fighter or Mages Guild. There are no guild halls, and the first task is really for players to go snooping around enough to figure out how to join the Thieves Guild.

Either through the wanted posters dotted around the Imperial City or by editions of the Black Horse Courier, The Gray Fox will eventually become a topic players can bring up with certain NPCs. The target here is the homeless of the Imperial City, with Puny Ancus at the Waterfront being a personal favorite. Players must convince the NPCs to part with the information, which means either bribes or the persuasion wheel.

Once the beggar is willing to talk about The Gray Fox, they'll ask what you want with the individual. Choose the option that says, "Yes. I want to work with him." In response to that, the NPC will inform players to seek out the Garden of Dareloth at midnight in the Waterfront district.

Joining the Thieves Guild

Arriving at the Garden of Dareloth, behind the Abandoned Shack in the Waterfront District, players will find Armand Christophe alongside other Thieves Guild aspirants. Ask the NPC about Gray Fox, and he'll offer a different description of the character than what you've heard thus far.

After, a dialogue option will appear that says, "Join the Thieves Guild." But just like getting the initial info for the meeting place out of the beggar, you'll need to persuade Armand to elaborate further. A disposition of around 75 should seal the deal.

With three initiates, Armand decides a test will determine who should get into the Thieves Guild. The task is to steal Amantius Allectus' diary without harming Allectus or the other competitors. If you have already worked on Puny Ancus' disposition towards you, you can immediately pay the beggar another visit right outside of the Garden of Dareloth and ask about Allectus. Ancus will happily tell you that Allectus lives on the far east side of the Temple District.

May the Best Thief Win

After fast-traveling to the Temple District, players can pull up their map and zoom in until it changes to the local map. Amantius Allectus' home should be easy enough to spot, and an easy-difficulty lock should seal the door. Once inside, the diary is in a writing desk on the first floor.

Even with the speedy acquisition of that knowledge, the other participants are still fast. It may be that you don't make it to the diary before another like Methredhel gets there first. If that happens, it's not the end of the world. There's still a chance to get the diary by pickpocketing it from whoever carries it.

Either way, return to Armand, and he'll congratulate you on your victory. After the fanfare concludes, inquire more about the Thieves Guild and ask, "Where can I find a fence?" Armand will let you know that better quality fences become available as your Thieves Guild rank improves. But for now, Ongar the World-Weary in the northern settlement of Bruma is your guy.

The Cheshire Cat in Chez Remy during the Chaos in the Kitchen quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Cheshire Cat is one of the trickiest villagers to unlock in Disney Dreamlight Valley. He has a series of hidden quests around the valley, and one of the ones you need to complete is called Chaos in the Kitchen.

Chaos has overtaken Remy's restaurant, and it's up to you to help clean it up and figure out what the Cheshire Cat is up to. Here's a complete quest walkthrough for Chaos in the Kitchen in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to start Chaos in the Kitchen in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Holding a lightsaber in Chez Remy surrounded by messy pawprints in disney dreamlight valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Chaos in the Kitchen quest can be unlocked and started by entering Chez Remy. This is Remy's restaurant, and it's located wherever you have it placed around the valley. If you're not sure where you have it set up, look for the fork and knife icon on the map.

Before you can work on this quest, you also need to unlock Alice and tackle Mannequin Madness. Navigating through the Wonderland Realm also involves several other quests like Wonders of Wonderland and Teeny, Tiny Problems.

How to complete Chaos in the Kitchen in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To finish the Chaos in the Kitchen quest and get one step closer to unlocking the Cheshire Cat, you need to help clean up the mess around Chez Remy and learn a new recipe straight from Wonderland. There are lots of additional steps you need to tackle throughout this process, so here's a breakdown of everything you need to do to finish this quest.

Talk to Remy in Chez Remy

After entering Chez Remy, approach Remy to discuss the mess in his restaurant. He doesn't know who left paw prints all over his restaurant, but you have a pretty good idea of who's behind this chaos.

Clear Remy's restaurant of the Cheshire Cat's messes

To investigate why the Cheshire Cat did this, you need to clean up his messes and look for any signs he might still be around. Approach the bright purple paw prints near the kitchen area and interact with them to clear them away. There are two sets of prints near the kitchen counter, one on the shelf back by the pantry in the kitchen, and one on the ground in the back left corner of the restaurant near the painting.

Clearing away the last set of paw prints causes an item to drop. It's a recipe book you need, so pick it up to add this item to your inventory. Use this book from your inventory to learn the Cheshire Cat Tail dessert.

Cook the Cheshire Cat Tail dessert

Head over to the kitchen in Chez Remy to get started with cooking the Cheshire Cat Tail dessert. To make this item, you need one Cocoa Bean, one Egg, one Wheat, and one Sugarcane. Throw them all together in the pot to cook up this dish.

When it's done, bring your freshly cooked meal to Remy. He's excited about the dish, but still a bit worried about the Cheshire Cat causing more chaos, so he has another task for you.

Return to Dreamlight Valley

Exit Chez Remy to return to the regular valley and check around to see if the Cheshire Cat has caused any other chaos. He's left more messes for you to find, so it's time for another clean-up project.

Search around Chez Remy for three messes left behind by the Cheshire Cat. The spawn location of these messes is random, so just circle around the building until you find each one. All three messes appear as a stack of gold and red chairs with purple paw prints on the ground beneath them.

Once you've removed all three of them, head back inside Chez Remy to chat with Remy. Someone else is waiting inside to talk with you instead, though.

The Cheshire Cat is waiting right inside Remy's restaurant for you, so chat with him once you're inside. He's got nothing but riddles to share with you, and before you know it, he's gone again and still not unlocked as a character. Head over to Remy to discuss the situation and officially finish the Chaos in the Kitchen quest.

Oblivion Remastered armor merchants

The Burning Trail quest is one of the few exclusives that come with the Oblivion Remastered Digital Deluxe Edition, and solving it is associated with a set of unique rewards.

Since the quest is part of the Deluxe Edition, you'll need to own it. If you're playing on the Game Pass version or own the base version, this quest will be unavailable. This guide will provide you with all the information required to complete this quest and unlock the associated rewards.

How to begin the Burning Trail quest in Oblivion Remastered

Owning the Digital Deluxe Edition is the first step. You'll have to find four pamphlets spread all over the map. The first one is located in the Talos Plaza District in the Imperial City. Go to the plaza district, and you'll come across a dragon statue.

You'll find a set of barrels close to the statue. Go close, and one of them will pop up as the Mythic Dawn Pamphlet 1. This pamphlet will reveal clues about the second one. It also marks the beginning of the quest, which involves finding all the pamphlets, and taking them to the required location.

All Mythic Dawn Pamphlet locations in Oblivion Remastered

We already have a fair idea about the location of the first pamphlet. Once you have obtained it from the Talos Plaza District, you will be prompted to go to Hircine's Shrine. At this location, look for the Wolf Statue. The statue will be turned towards a tree which contains the pamphlet.

The third one can be found in a tree at Molag Bal's Shrine. You'll have to head northwest from Hircine's Shrine and go south of Chorrol/west of the Imperial City. The pamphlet will be on the tree (like the second one) and provide you with hints for the final one.

Pamphlet 3 location in Oblivion Remastered

The final one can be found at Bravil near the Lucky Old Lady Statue in the center. Look for a stone barrier around the statue, and the fourth pamphlet will be directly inside it.

How to complete the Burning Trail quest in Oblivion Remastered

You'll have to head to The Lonely Suitor Lodge located in South Bravil. You'll to speak with Bogrum Gro-Galash to find out about the Shy Dunmer. He will ask you to speak with the cook, Ranaline. Tell Ranaline about all the Mythic Dawn notes that you found. You'll also need to pass a Persuasion check with 50 points of disposition.

If you manage to pull off this part successfully, it will mark the end of the Burning Trail quest and begin the next one called The Crimson Cave.

All Burning Trail quest rewards in Oblivion Remastered

Completing the quest will help you get the following items.

  • Mythic Dawn Robe
  • Mythic Dawn Hood

You can equip these items from your inventory after they have been added to the quest rewards. Like the quest itself, these items are only going to be available for those who own the Digital Deluxe edition of the game. This edition, despite being more expensive, offers a lot of additional benefits, including unique weapon collections and horse mounts.

To get the items, you'll have to complete The Crimson Cave quest. The quest requires you to head to the Mingo Cave and join other cultists from Mythic Dawn.

zzz ju fufu drip marketing

Ju Fufu is an upcoming playable character in Zenless Zone Zero and will be released in the upcoming version 2.0 update. She's expected to be an S-rank Agent, and her signature W-Engine has already been leaked.

If you're planning to get Ju Fufu's signature W-Engine, you can find its stats, effects, and materials needed to upgrade it below.

Ju Fufu signature W-Engine stats and effects in ZZZ leaked

Ju Fufu's signature W-Engine's name is currently unknown, but here are its stats and effects in ZZZ, as per leaks via @_hiragara_ on X:

  • Base ATK - 713
  • Advanced Stat - Impact 18 percent
  • Effect - The Daze value of the equipping character's EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, and Ultimate will be increased by 28 percent. When Chain Attack or Ultimate is activated, the entire party's damage increases by 10 percent for 12 seconds. This effect can be stacked up to two times, and each stack's duration is counted independently. This effect is also unique to the entire party.

The Yunkui Summit member is expected to be an S-rank Agent, so her signature W-Engine will also be S-rank. According to the Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 banner leaks by Seele and O, Ju Fufu and her W-Engine will be in the second half.

Level-up materials and where to farm them

ju fufu signature w-engine materials in zzz

Listed below are all the materials you will need to level up Ju Fufu's signature W-Engine in ZZZ:

  • 4 Stun Component
  • 32 Reinforced Stun Component
  • 30 Specialized Stun Component
  • 400,000 Denny

Stun Component, Reinforced Stun Component, and Specialized Stun Component are items needed to level up the Stun-model W-Engines. You can farm them in the Stun Diaphragm Test challenge in Combat Simulation. You can also use the Dismantle feature to get some drops.

Additionally, you will need Dennies for upgrading the W-Engine. You can farm the in-game currency in the Combat Simulation, complete Commissions, open the Video Store, and exchange it in the Signal Shop.

Based on the current update cycle, Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 will go live on June 4. Thus, you can expect Ju Fufu and the new S-rank W-Engine banners to be released on June 24. Their banners will likely run for three weeks, and 2.0 will be a major update, so you should have enough time and Polychromes for them.

A character wielding a lightsaber and posing under a starry sky at the beach with R2-D2 in disney dreamlight valley

Star Wars items have officially landed in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and these epic offerings unlock many new customization options for your avatar and village. If you're a Star Wars fan, you may be interested in adding these assets to your collection.

Since these items aren't always available, you might not know where to find them, how to unlock them, or how much each one costs. There are many important details to know about these special assets, so here are all Star Wars items in Disney Dreamlight Valley and how to get each one.

All Star Wars items in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are six Star Wars items you can get in DDV. Many of these are packs that include multiple items, so if you're counting all of the separate pieces you can acquire, the total number of items is 20.

If any additional Star Wars items are introduced in future updates, we'll add them here.

Name Type Items Image Price
R2-D2 Companion R2-D2 Companion R2-D2 in ddv 2,500 Moonstones
Naboo Villa Bundle House Style, Furniture Naboo Villa, Naboo Villa Wallpaper, Naboo Villa Flooring Naboo villa in ddv 3,750 Moonstones
Naboo Interior Furniture Bundle Furniture Naboo Holotable, Naboo Bed, Naboo Table, Naboo Chair, Naboo Sofa, Naboo Fireplace, Naboo Windows, Naboo Decor Naboo holotable in DDV 2,500 Moonstones
Padmé Amidala's Lakeside Ensemble Clothing Padmé Amidala's Lakeside Gown, Padmé Amidala Lakeside Hairstyle, Padmé Amidala's Lakeside Shoes Padme's ombre gown in ddv 1,750 Moonstones
Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Ensemble Clothing Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Robe, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Cloak, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Padawan Hairstyle, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Boots Jedi robes in ddv 1,750 Moonstones
Anakin Skywalker's Lightsaber Clothing Anakin Skywalker's Lightsaber lightsaber in ddv 1,750 Moonstones

How to get Star Wars items in Disney Dreamlight Valley

All Star Wars items in DDV are exclusively Premium Shop items, so you can only unlock them from this special store. Every item in this collection costs Moonstones, which is DDV's premium currency, so they're all fairly costly. All Star Wars content is completely optional for all players, so you don't have to have it in your valley unless you want to.

How long are Star Wars items available in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The Star Wars items are all rotating assets included in the Premium Shop, which means they're only available sometimes. Each time they return, they'll be available for a full week since this special shop changes stock every Wednesday.

The very first batch of Star Wars items is only available until May 14. It's unclear if they'll return to the shop regularly, as all other items do, or if they won't be back until 2026 for the next May the Fourth celebration. If we learn any additional information about their availability, we'll update it here.

A character wielding a lightsaber while wearing padme's dress in ddv
Screenshot by Destructoid

Are the Star Wars items worth it in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Most of the Star Wars items are worth the price if you're a fan of both DDV and Star Wars. I've collected all of them since I have plenty of Moonstones to spare because I enter every weekly DreamSnaps challenge, but if you can only grab a couple of them, some items are a bit more worth the price than others.

Overall, the R2-D2 companion, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Ensemble, Padmé Amidala's Lakeside Ensemble, and Anakin Skywalker's Lightsaber are the most worth it for the price. These four items are some of my favorites in all of DDV. I enjoy all of the Naboo items, too, but they're not must-haves.

If you need more Moonstones to spend on these items, complete the Faith, Dust, and Pixel Dust quest to unlock DreamSnaps. Enter these challenges weekly to quickly earn lots of them. You can pin up to two items in the Premium Shop to save them for later, so choose your two favorite Star Wars items to unlock once you have enough.

murder mystery 2 perks tier list

Murder Mystery 2 is a hot new take on the good old, RPG-based, survival, and mystery-solving Roblox games we happen to love so much. No matter if you are an Innocent, a Sheriff, or a Murderer, we advise you to check out our Murder Mystery 2 perks tier list and get your bearings immediately for a successful start.

All Murder Mystery 2 Perks Ranked

murder mystery 2 perks tier list

Murder Mystery 2 powers come in different shapes and sizes, and while it may seem counterintuitive, being more expensive and rare does not necessarily translate into being more powerful. We ranked all Murder Mystery 2 perks according to their all-around usability and effectiveness in the long run, taking into account potential players' skill and experience. Without further ado, let's scan them out.

S-Tier Murder Mystery 2 Perks

Power Name Features How to Get Why S-Tier?
The X-Ray perk enables you to temporarily see through walls for 4 seconds. You can see dead bodies, remaining innocents, the sheriff, and the gun. It has a 26-second cooldown. You can get X-Ray in the Shop for 6.000 Coins or 800 Diamonds. Next to Ghost, this is the most expensive perk. X-Ray is an S-Tier perk because it grants the user one of the most powerful abilities in the game.
Haste enables you to move 10% faster with your knife out, making outrunning innocents quite easy. You can buy Haste from the Shop for 3.000 Coins or 400 Diamonds. Haste is an S-Tier perk due to increased speed, which is a huge asset in Murder Mystery 2.

A-Tier Murder Mystery 2 Perks

Power Name Features How to Get Why A-Tier?
Ghost gives you the ability to turn invisible for 5 seconds, with a cooldown of 30 seconds. Once you use your knife, the power automatically stops and makes you visible again. This power is known for breaking when Roblox updates its code. You can buy Ghost in the Shop for 6.000 Coins or 800 Diamonds. Ghost is an A-Tier because it offers a fantastic buff ability, albeit with a significant limitation.

B-Tier Murder Mystery 2 Perks

Power Name Features How to Get Why B-Tier?
Sprint gives you a 50% speed boost for 3 seconds, however, a bright strip of trail will follow the murderer when sprint is active. You can purchase Sprint in the Shop for 3.000 Coins or 400 Diamonds. Sprint is a B-Tier because it is a lifesaver perk, but it is nerfed slightly with a revealing trail.
Ninja perk makes your knife dead-silent, and no sound will be made when you kill another player. You can purchase Sprint in the Shop for 1.000 Coins or 100 Diamonds. Ninja is a B-Tier due to its useful sneak effect. However, it sounds more epic than it actually is.
Sleight enables the murderer to throw knives more quickly than usual. You can purchase Sprint in the Shop for 1.000 Coins or 100 Diamonds. Sleight is a B-Tier for its useful, but somewhat situational effect. Also, Sleight is near-useless on mobile devices played on touch-screens.

C-Tier Murder Mystery 2 Perks

Power Name Features How to Get Why C-Tier?
Trap enables you to place up to 3 traps that will freeze enemies for 4 seconds when stepped on. Cooldown between placing each trap is 2 seconds, but keep in mind that trapped heroes and the sheriff will still be able to shoot you. You can purchase Sprint in the Shop for 3.000 Coins or 400 Diamonds. Trap is a C-Tier perk because it is a neat utility that requires planning, but is not the ultimate problem solver.

D-Tier Murder Mystery 2 Perks

Power Name Features How to Get Why D-Tier?
Footsteps is a free power that everyone gets upon joining the game. It shows the footsteps of the Innocents and the Sheriff, which disappear after some time. Footsteps is a default power you get for free. Footsteps is a D-Tier power because, while quite handy, it offers zero defense or attack utilities.
Fake Gun gives your knife the appearance of a gun for 10 seconds, temporarily fooling innocents that you're the Sheriff, but not the Sheriff, obviously. It has a 30-second cooldown. You can purchase Sprint in the Shop for 3.000 Coins or 400 Diamonds. Fake Gun is a D-Tier power since it only offers a decent, but not superb, bluff.

Now that you know all there is to know about MM2 powers, thanks to our Murder Mystery 2 perks tier list, you can turn your attention to Murder Mystery 2 codes and get all the free stuff right away, before taking on those poor Innocents.

A player standing on the pitch in Project Egoist with the best style cards in front of them.

Having the best Style in Project Egoist can easily make a superstar out of you on the pitch. Now, because Styles differ significantly from one another, it can be hard to discern which ones are at the top of the meta. So, we prepared the following Project Egoist Styles tier list to help you roll for and use only the best Styles out there.

Project Egoist Styles and the Flow State Explained

Styles in Project Egoist let you use special skills that are unique to each one of them. Every Style has four skills (Z, X, C, V), and each skill can have several variations. The V skill is only available while you are in the Flow state, which you can enter after you fill your Flow bar. While you are in the Flow state, you can use the V skill once before you stop "Flowing."

Project Egoist Styles Tier List

Tier Styles
S Kaiser style from the Project Egoist Roblox experience.
A Sae style from the Project Egoist Roblox experience. Isagi style from the Project Egoist Roblox experience.
B Nagi style from the Project Egoist Roblox experience.
All Styles in Project Egoist, ranked from best to worst.

In the above Project Egoist Styles tier list, we ranked all currently available Styles based on how good they are at shooting, passing, dribbling, and keeping or regaining possession of the ball. In general, rarer Styles have better and more powerful skills. However, that doesn't necessarily mean they are good in the current Project Egoist meta, which we based the tier list on. Below is a list of all Styles in Project Egoist, their skills, and their pros and cons.

oricorio rare card tcg pocket

If you'd have told me that Oriocorio, of all Pokémon, would be one of the most devastating cards to come out of Pokémon TCG Pocket's latest expansion pass, Celestial Guardians, I'd have wished you a happy Alola! and then walked off to find someone sane to talk to—yet here we are.

It cannot be understated how demonic this little yellow pom-pom bird is. While on the surface it looks all nice and cute, underneath it hides a dark secret sure to shatter your many decks into a total rebuild for future encounters.

For TCG players, if I were to tell you this card was effectively the digital version of Mimikyu, I can already hear the number of uninstalls happening from physical card players. But for those unaware of the menace, allow me to explain.

Oricorio is a special card that deals a solid 50 damage for two energy cards, but where its simplicity is at full effect, the ability it has is pure chaos. Safeguard, the card's ability, prevents all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon ex. Again, complete immunity from all ex Pokémon attacks, making the bird a cheeky winged foul that could stall and lock out any decks that only run ex cards.

Sure, you can argue that cards like Sabrina could get it off the Active Spot, and Darkrai ex's ability isn't an attack, so it can damage the Pokémon. It's still a card that could fundamentally lock down lots of decks in ranked and at the top of the meta game by existing. It's a pure evil card, and I've already spent all morning changing most of my decks to make sure I have something that can deal with it, whether it's an extra Cyrus or a basic Pokémon that can hit its 70 HP quickly.

But its devilishness is only balanced by its usefulness. It purely existing forces trainers to think about potentially coming up against it and changing strategies and decks to counteract it. While it might be one of the most groan-inducing cards to come across, its existence has effectively turned the meta on its head, as now decks need to consider having something to deal with it, especially as it can fit into something like a Pikachu ex deck so easily without skipping a beat.

And if you don't have anything to deal with it? Prepare to either surrender or watch it slowly ZZZap you to death one 50 HP damage turn at a time.
