Everything we know about Yunjin in Genshin Impact

While we only recently got update 2.2 in Genshin Impact, attention is starting to drift further afield as a long-rumoured character is reportedly coming to the anime game in the not-too-distant future.

Yunjin's name has popped up several times already in Genshin Impact, though the most recent update changes it to 'Yun Jin'. Back in January 2021, dataminer Lumie shared a render of the character on Twitter. Back then, leakers believed she was a five-star Polearm user with geo abilities. She has also appeared in the game, albeit scarcely. We caught a glimpse of her during a recent cutscene for the Moonchase Festival, and several existing characters mention her by name in their voice lines. She hails from Liyue and is a part of the Heyu Tea House troupe, becoming a particularly popular performer in the region.

As ever with datamines, though, keep in mind that Mihoyo hasn't revealed the content itself, and it could be subject to change if it is legitimate. Nevertheless, here's everything we know about Yun Jin so far.

The best New World great axe build for PvP and PvE

Want to know what the best New World great axe builds are for PvP and PvE? We've had time to test several different builds since the new MMO game launched, and we've concluded that outside of the magic weapons, one of the best New World weapons is the great axe. It may be slower to use than most other melee weapons, but it's a fantastic option for those wanting to chop away at foes in a DPS role.

To build an excellent loadout for New World, you need to spend time killing enemies to level up weapons, choose which skills to equip, and allocate attribute points. Therefore, you should assign your character's attribute points carefully to maximise the impact of both weapons in your build. While it takes more skill to use a great axe in combat than other weapons, the effort is most certainly worth it.

If you're running a powerful axe build, particularly the PvE build in this guide, you'll benefit from tackling dungeons and bosses alongside someone who is using the best New World tank build, using the sword and shield. We also have DPS build configurations for the best New World fire staff build. This guide will go over both of the best great axe builds, though if you'd rather spec into a different melee-focused build, why not try out our best New World war hammer buildbest New World hatchet build, or best New World rapier build instead.

Call of Duty Vanguard maps: every map at launch

Looking for a list of every multiplayer map in Call of Duty Vanguard? Activision surprised the Call of Duty community by announcing that Vanguard is going to launch with 16 multiplayer maps. To put this into perspective, Black Ops Cold War controversially featured just eight maps at launch. Additional maps eventually made their way to the game, but it took Cold War almost six months to reach the same number of maps Vanguard launches with.

One of Vanguard's new features is the destructible cover system which dynamically adjusts the map depending on where the action zones are. You might hide behind a wall in the first minute of the game only to find that it has been destroyed by the end of the match. Players can target specific pieces of cover by throwing a barrage of grenades at it, stopping anyone from taking refuge there.

All 16 maps in Vanguard are playable in 6v6, 12v12, and 24v24 configurations. Not all maps are the same size, and there are some particularly small maps which get absolutely demolished when played with 48 people. With Call of Duty Vanguard's release date right around the corner, this is the perfect time to study the new maps. Here are the multiplayer maps in Call of Duty Vanguard so far.

The best Genshin Impact Yoimiya build

Yoimiya joins the roster of new Genshin Impact characters as part of the current Genshin Impact banner alongside the four-star Sayu. If you're looking for the best Yoimiya build in Genshin Impact, then here's how to create the ideal build based on Yoimiya's abilities.

The Genshin Impact Yoimiya banner, Tapestry of Golden Flames, has dropped. You now have a chance to play as the five-star firework shop owner, also known as the Queen of the Summer Festival, who lives in Inazuma City in Hanamizaka. She is a five-star Pyro bow user, and although players may be hesitant to try her out due to her lack of AoE damage, it is possible to build Yoimiya as a powerful DPS character.

Alongside Yoimiya's banner, Epitome Invocation also boosts the drop-rate for the event-exclusive Thundering Pulse bow, as well as the four-star weapons Sacrificial Sword, Rainslasher claymore, Dragon's Bane polearm, Sacrificial Fragments catalyst, and Favonius Warbow. There's also a chance to pull Diona and Xinyan, alongside Yoimiya and Sayu.

We're about to get our next peep at FromSoftware's upcoming action-RPG very soon. The studio has announced on Twitter that it'll show a generous 15 minutes of Elden Ring gameplay on streaming platforms this week. While it's not known what the devs will be revealing during those precious minutes just yet, with Elden Ring being one of the most excitedly anticipated games of recent years, safe to say it's going to be well worth tuning in.

First up, the when. According to FromSoft's tweet, the Elden Ring 15-minute gameplay stream will go live on November 4 at 7am PDT / 10am EDT / 2pm GMT / 3pm CET. The stream will be shown on Elden Ring's YouTube channel and publisher Bandai Namco's Twitch channel at those times, though you can get cosy and tune in with us here via the embed below if you like.

Far Cry 6 update removes a mission that was

The patch notes for Far Cry 6's latest patch, Title Update 2, have arrived. Alongside a bunch of gameplay and quality-of-life tweaks, and a round of bug fixes, the update brings a rather surprising change: it's removed one of the action-adventure game's missions, but that's because it was launched a bit earlier than planned.

"This update includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and upcoming content that will release in the coming weeks," Ubisoft community manager UbiKoality posts in the game's 'news and announcements' hub. "This update also removes the Dani and Danny vs Everybody mission as it was accidentally released too early," the post explains, adding that the studio "look[s] forward to players checking out the final version in the future".

Similarly, on Twitter, Ubisoft explains that the mission accidentally released early "is a work-in-progress", and apologises for any confusion, adding that it'll "follow up shortly with more information". It looks like we know roughly when the fully-complete mission will be released, though, as Far Cry 6's post-launch content roadmap lists Danny and Dani vs Everybody as a free crossover mission coming up sometime this December.

Red Dead Redemption 2 modders create their own Undead Nightmare

Halloween may have come and gone, but there are still plenty of spooky things going on in Red Dead Redemption 2 if you know where to look. Namely, one group of modders has created a mod inspired by Undead Nightmare, a popular expansion for Red Dead Redemption which, like the base game, Rockstar Games hasn't ported to PC.

Dick Hertz and Eki's Undead Nightmare 2 - Origins mod brings a plague to New Austin, limiting your visibility over foggy, darkened lands to the faint glow of a blood moon. The towns of Armadillo, Coot's Chapel, Blackwater, and others have been invaded by zombies, leading some residents to hide on roofs or boarded-up shops while the police duel the undead in the streets. The fighting isn't limited to Red Dead Redemption 2's towns, though, as many zombies have found their way into the wilderness.

The mod has other features, too. Alongside spooky music, there are some apparel items to let players dress the part. One of the modders also shares on Nexus Mods that there are hidden features, too, so it sounds like there's more to stumble across.

     Minecraft gets new

Minecraft has come to Xbox Game Pass for PC, with both the Bedrock and Java editions of the sandbox game now available for subscribers running Windows 10 or 11. This not only means those playing on PC through Game Pass get access to cross-play with others "regardless of platform" - there's also a new "unified Minecraft launcher" to help you start both versions of the game from the same place.

"We're introducing a special feature – the unified Minecraft launcher!" Mojang Studios creative writer Cristina Anderca announces in a blog post. "Instead of having separate launchers for the Bedrock and Java Edition, you will be able to start both versions of Minecraft from a single game launcher."

The post later reads: "Minecraft has never been easier to play on PC, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. So far, I've just been switching between the two editions and marvelling at how easy it is. Now if you'll excuse me, I must find out who came up with this idea so I can bury them in fan mail."

     Best Black Friday SSD deals

You've come home from a long day and want to kick back with your favourite videogame, only to find out there's an update so big it can no longer fit on your device - yes, we're looking at you, Call of Duty. It sounds like you might need a new SSD, which doesn't have to cost as much as you think.

Games are constantly getting bigger, whether you're paying attention to the intricate graphical details or getting lost in their sprawling worlds as Rockstar, Bethesda, and Ubisoft all compete for the largest map possible. Even Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War barely fits on a 250GB drive with all game modes taking up a hefty 175GB.

Your first thought might be to buy a new hard drive, and you wouldn't be wrong in thinking they offer more capacity for a significantly lower price. But unless you want to spend more time hanging around on a loading screen than playing the game, you're better off with a good SSD to speed things up. There are even plenty of deals from WD, Samsung, and Crucial that rival what we'll see on Black Friday if you don't want to wait around.

New Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU could combat Intel's Arc Alchemist chip

Recently, we learned that RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 GPUs with more VRAM could be coming next year. While recent Nvidia refresh rumours mostly relate to desktop Super variants, a fresh leak suggests a new RTX 3070 Ti mobile GPU could also emerge on the scene alongside a laptop RTX 3080 Ti in 2022.

Spotted by Videocardz, the laptop GPU variant reared its head on the PCI ID Repository with the label "NVIDIA GN20-E6". The new ID was then linked to Nvidia's unannounced RTX 3070 Ti mobile card by database user Faintsnow, meaning the green team could be preparing to release the SKU as part of its upcoming refresh.

The PC ID database doesn't include any specs for the mobile graphics card, but it should feature a higher core count than the standard RTX 3070 laptop model. If the new chip does venture beyond 5120 CUDA cores, it could leave Nvidia's existing RTX 3080 equivalent feeling a tad redundant, and it could even surpass low-powered Max-Q models.

Genshin Impact tier list: the best and worst characters

There are currently 42 Genshin Impact characters available, so there's no shortage of candidates for your dream team. But with so many different weapon, elementals, talents, ascension bonuses, and constellations upgrades, finding your favourites can be challenging.

In truth, it is difficult to find a truly bad Genshin Impact character. While base stats and elemental abilities are important, the value of a character also depends on personal playstyle, available weapons and artifacts, and team composition. That being said, if your favourite character is in C tier or below, you may struggle to get past some of the more challenging Spiral Abyss floors. Don't worry too much if your favourite character is on one of the lower tiers; you can still make it work with our recommended Genshin Impact builds.

In general, being on the highest tiers mean that the character is the best in their role, is not too difficult to build, and performs well regardless of teammates. Being on a lower tier means that there are better alternatives, or the character needs a very specific build or team to shine.  Just to note, the characters are not ranked within their own tier, and with that out of the way, let's take a look at our ranking of characters in our Genshin Impact tier list!

Here's the League of Legends 2021 patch schedule – every season 11 update release date

If you're a League of Legends fan you'll know that, approximately every couple of weeks, the multiplayer game receives a hefty update. Usually packed with shiny new Champion skins, a batch of Champion, item, and rune balance changes, fixes, and occasionally new or returning game modes, plus more, LoL patches are a hugely important part of the MOBA game. As such, it's worth knowing when they're due to launch. Handily, we now know when every patch of League of Legends season 11 is scheduled to debut.

As posted by Riot Games on the game's support site, the League of Legends 2021 patch schedule kicks off with League of Legends patch 11.1 on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

There are no exact release times detailed, but based on most of the 2020 updates, we can guess that - for the most part - the maintenance times will begin at around 3am PT for NA servers, 5am UK time for EUW servers, and 3am CET for EUNE servers, and last for approximately three hours. However, you'll need to check each set of patch notes to find out exact timings.

Call of Duty Vanguard release date and everything we know

Want to know when Call of Duty Vanguard's release date is? Call of Duty Vanguard arrives later this year. Just like Call of Duty: WWII, Vanguard is set during the second World War. Whereas WWII focused on European battles, Vanguard takes a closer look at battles on the Pacific Front, North Africa, and other locations.

While the integration process between Black Ops Cold War and Warzone took months to accomplish, it looks like Vanguard's integration won't be anywhere near as long, and will roll out when the new Warzone map launches later this year, alongside new weapons, vehicles, and a new anti-cheat system. Vanguard also features a new Vanguard Zombies game mode, which follows on from the Dark Aether story.

With only a week to go before the WW2 game launches, there's a lot to talk about with all the new multiplayer game modes, the new weapons and gear, and the campaign. Here's everything we know about Call of Duty Vanguard so far, including the open beta dates, what the story entails, and more.

How do Scenarios work in The Sims 4? There have been fan-made Sims challenges for as long as there have been Sims games, but now the makers of The Sims 4 have introduced Scenarios into official gameplay. This new type of gameplay challenge works a bit differently to existing Aspirations, Lot Challenges, and so on. Scenarios are attached to every Sim in a household, have a unique set of starting and victory conditions, and — crucially — are quite open-ended, leaving it to the player to work out the best way to complete them.

If that all seems a bit confusing, don't worry! In this guide we cover how to start a new Scenario in The Sims 4, the rewards for completing one, and tips on getting the best possible start in every Scenario that's currently available.

Fortnite Icy Grappler Exotic WeaponEver since it rolled out, Fortnite Season 8 has continued to add content. From donation boards allowing you to have a say in the war effort, to powerful weapons such as the Sideways Scythe, there is something for everyone here. Already, the battle royale has a range of exotic weapons that you can purchase from various NPCs dotted around the map. Now, a new exotic weapon has arrived in Fortnite named the Icy Grappler — and here's how to get it. To get your hands on the Icy Grappler in Fortnite, you will have to visit Fabio Sparklemane. This is the unicorn NPC who is located at Apres Ski, inside of the cabin on the mountain. You will have to give up 400 of your gold bars to get the exotic weapon, so make sure you have enough. If you need more gold bars, you can get them by completing bounty contracts, opening tills, and more.   What does the Icy Grappler do in Fortnite? The Icy Grappler works in the same way as a regular grapple gun, but with a twist. As usual, you ca...

Black Ops Cold War Season Six UpdateAlthough Call of Duty fans are looking ahead to the release of Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War Season Six is not over. Recently, developer Treyarch has added some new content to the game as post launch support wraps up. The Black Ops Cold War Season Six update adds some new Zombies content to play through on PC in the form of Onslaught, new player rewards, and much more. Firstly, bonus rewards have been added to the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies game modes. The 100 Percenter challenge reward will be given to players who have completed all challenges in each mode. It is important to note that this does not include Dark Ops challenges. The rewards you will get are animated master calling cards which you will be able to show off in matches. In addition, some new content has been added to the prestige shop. You can use your prestige keys to get the Vicarious Tactical Rifle weapon blueprint and some new calling cards.   Onslaught has arrived for all in the Black Ops Cold War Seaso...

Demon Turf Review 13D platformers aren't nearly as common as I wish they were. The genre is easily one of my favorites, but major new releases are few and far between. Of those, most either only have platforming as a single attribute out of multiple, or they do their best to hearken back to the classics without adding anything of their own. Demon Turf is a rare release in that it's not only entirely a 3D platformer, but it also does what it can to forge its own path. I've got some issues with it here and there, but between the excellent controls, unique aesthetic, and the plethora of compelling content, this is one of the best of its kind we've seen in a while. Demon Turf's story follows a demon girl named Beebz, who unfortunately has a moniker reminiscent of a Justin Bieber nickname. Beebz lives in Fork Town, which is a city in the demon realm ruled over by ugh… the demon king. Anime won't let that generic trope die, so now we're seeing it in Western pr...

Dubium 2022 sneak attackDeveloper Mumo Studio's co-founders have quite a bit of experience under their belts. Throughout the nearly 20 years they've spent in the industry, they helped put out several successful games on PC and mobile, which include Dead to Rights, Black Desert Online, and Boxing Star, among others. Soon enough, these developers will add yet another item to their resume in the form of Dubium, a social deduction game that sports a cartoony art style and allows for up to five players. You can try out Dubium once it arrives in Early Access in 2022. According to a recent press release, Dubium takes place "in a near-future sci-fi universe" and sees players — who assume "the role of Frontier or Traitor" — attempting to "escape from an abandoned space station." Frontiers have to work together "to repair solar panels that power the escape pod while trying to uncover the identity of the sole Traitor." Meanwhile, the Traitor has "to hi...

World of Warcraft Community CouncilMMOs are about many things, but one of the most important aspects is communication. Whether that be communication between friends, guildmates, or even between the developer and the players themselves. Today, Blizzard announced a new program to help bridge the gap between the developer and the players. The World of Warcraft Community Council will give players of all kinds a chance to communicate directly with the developer of the game. The first, and most important detail, is that the chance to join this council is available to all players of World of Warcraft. Blizzard is looking for players of all types with a wide variety of interests. Whether you prefer raids, WoW Classic, or love to collect transmogs. The 100 chosen players will become a part of a message board that will be visible to all players. Blizzard will ask players to share their thoughts and experiences about the game, and will even start conversations themselves.   Council members will also be able to message each...
