When we thought gaming couldn't get any better, 2024 raised the bar once again. Gamers have been eating well over the past year, and we have the excellent developers behind our favorite games to thank for that. This International Women's Day, we're honoring six game makers who made the year better via their contributions to our favorite video games. The list is by no means exhaustive, but hopefully shouting out just a few incredible women who work on games, it will encourage more people to look behind the curtain at just who brings these amazing experiences to life. Here's our list of six games you should check out below:
Pinki Li – Writer, 1000xResist
1000xResist is one of the standout releases of last year. Telling the story of a society cloned from a single teenage girl immune to a disease that devastated the planet, 1000xResist examines everything from Chinese diaspora in Canada, and the building of culture from nothing, to the internal struggle of burden, and loss.
It is not an easy story to tell, and even just playing through it you will need to take time to digest it. However, as one of the main writers on the project Pinki Li tackles these topics with grace, and nuance, while not shying away from showing a darker side to emmigration. 1000xResist's power comes from the strength of its narrative, and we have Pinki Li to thank for that. It is a powerful game, a powerful narrative, and a powerful experience, and one of the must play games of the last 12 months.
1000xResist launched on May 9, 2024, and is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
Azusa Kido – Director of daily events, Metaphor: ReFantazio
Metaphor: ReFantazio is indisputably one of the best games of last year. Developer Studio Zero took their work on the modern Persona series and elevated it to a whole new level with changes that go beyond the high-fantasy setting. Metaphor: ReFantazio splits the gameplay, and story between dungeon-crawling action, improving your Kingly Virtues, and forming tighter bonds with the people you meet.
Metaphor: ReFantazio's biggest improvement over the Persona series is the wider variety of actions you can do when not on the critical path, and the more lenient time frame you have to complete them. We can thank the director of daily events Azusa Kido for these improvements, as she worked to tweak the formula, make daily life more engaging, and give players more options to individualize their playthroughs. As one of the many amazing women in gaming, Kido's contribution to Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the most important additions to the game.
Metaphor: ReFantazio was released on October 11, 2024, and is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
Anna Todich and Anastasia Dyachuk – Actors, Indika
Indika is one of the most singular experiences of 2024. There is no other game I can compare it to. It tells the story of a Russian nun who is ostracized from her community as she suffers a mental health crisis. She begins to have a crisis of faith, and on her journey to deliver a letter, comes across a dying man, who believes he can be healed by visiting a holy artifact, the Kudets, and she decides to join him hoping to heal herself and reclaim her faith.
Anna Todich voices the titular Indika, and Anastasia Dyachuk worked as her face model making for a dynamic duo of women in gaming. With so few characters in the game, Indika's strength is in the skill of its actors. Indika's inner torment can be read through her facial expression and her voice, and as a character study, Indika would not be as incredible as it is without the work of these actors.
Indika launched on May 2, 2024, and is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Åsa Wallander – 2D artist, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes was developed by Simogo, the same team that created the rhythm-based acid trip Sayonara Wild Hearts. Before I talk about the game and Åsa Wallander's contributions, I want to shout out Simogo in general for highlighting each of its developers and giving them all the recognition they deserve. Developers are the lifeblood of the industry and they deserve so much more recognition than they receive.
If Celeste is the hardest platformer anyone can beat, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is the hardest puzzle game anyone can beat, if they put in the effort without immediately giving up the ghost. It will make you feel the smartest and dumbest you've ever been all at once. Åsa Wallander's work is not meant to be noticed; it's the type of work that players only notice when it's done poorly. The environmental art is a masterclass in style, sucking you into the world that is beholden to no particular period leaving you with a sense of unease. If you appreciated the atmosphere of Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Åsa Wallander is to thank.
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes was released on May 16, 2024, and is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5.
Saho Nishikawa – Producer, Fantasian: Neo Dimension
Square Enix and RPGs go hand-in-hand, and not only does the company love producing them, but it is excellent at doing so. Not only that but Fantasian: Neo Dimension was developed by Mistwalker, best known for creating the Wii cult classic, The Last Story. From this pedigree it seemed inevitable that Fantasian: Neo Dimension would be an excellent game, but there is something specific that sets it apart.
Every background, every environment, every scene, is created physically before being put into the game. Everything except the sprites and the UI, including the towns and the battle grounds are dioramas; real life paper craft, and models that make up the backgrounds. It takes the 2D-HD art style that became popular with Octopath Traveler and pushes it to the next level. Producer Saho Nishikawa's work focused on the creation of these dioramas, alongside the special effects that make them blend so seamlessly into the game. We hope that more women in gaming push game art like this in the future.

Monster Hunter Wilds offers plenty of freedom when it comes to designing your Palico, and you can even make it appear like everyone's beloved Pikachu.
Thanks to the new code system, it's pretty easy to use a design made by another player. This applies to Hunter and Palico's designs; the community has already created some fantastic creations. The following guide will help you to make your Palico look like Pikachu as it travels with you and takes on the monsters.
Monster Hunter Wilds Palico Pikachu design code
The easiest way to make your Palico look just like Pikachu is to use a design code. When you opt for character creation, the game will ask if you want to customize the looks of your Palico or Hunter. Select Palico, and enter the following code to download the design: 3V54S9LG3YC8
Make sure to save the design once downloaded, and confirm your choice to turn your Palico into a Pikachu. This method works as if you're creating a new save game. You'll need Character Edit vouchers if you want to edit the appearance on a pre-existing save. You'll have to spend on microtransactions to get the vouchers.
Alternatively, you can design your character from scratch. While this method takes more time, it will allow you the utmost freedom when it comes to customizing the look of your Pikachu design.
With Symmetry on for Marking 1, you won't have to set anything different for Marking 2. That's pretty much all you have to do in order to make your Palico resemble Ash's best friend in Monster Hunter Wilds.

If you have purchased the WWE 2K25 Bloodline or Deadman Edition, you are probably busy enjoying the advanced access.
However, the seven days of early access isn't only the set of benefits to your account. Both editions have several in-game goodies that can be accessed from within the game. While the process is simple, new players might wonder where their entitled bonuses are.
If you also pre-ordered your copy, you'll receive an extra set of bonuses (available on all editions as long as they were ordered before the game's launch).
How to access Bloodline/Deadman Edition bonuses in WWE 2K25
For starters, you'll need to ensure the DLC has been installed. While the process is automatic on consoles, you might have to manually check it once on Steam if you use the PC version. The Bloodline and Deadman Editions have bonus items that can be unlocked from the MyFaction mode.
To do so, you'll need to complete the tutorial. This shouldn't take more than a few minutes and will teach you the very basics of the mode. Once the tutorial is complete, you can go to the unopened packs section. This section will feature any packs you have received but haven't opened.
The Pre-Order rewards include the Wyatt Sicks Pack, which consists of the Persona cards of five superstars: Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, and Uncle Howdy. The DLC content will be automatically installed, and you can access the cards from the packs section in the MyFaction mode.
The MyFaction mode also includes a host of different Persona cards, and some of them can be pretty hard to unlock. As of writing, all bonuses are available barring the WrestleMania 41 Pack and the Mattel Elite Collection Greatest Hits Undertaker card. It's unclear as to when they will be added, but I don't think it will be too long before we get our hands on the missing content.

We're flying high in the sky during BitLife's Defying Gravity challenge. Starting as a regular girl in Kansas, you'll spend time studying physics before becoming a pilot and flying your own personal airplane. You'll need time and plenty of in-game money to do it, but at least there's no crime involved.
BitLife Defying Gravity challenge guide
BitLife's Defying Gravity challenge has five tasks to complete:
You won't need any special career packs or expansions for this particular challenge. However, having the Golden Diploma can help you finish university quicker, especially since this challenge requires two degrees. You'll also need lots of money for an airplane, which you have several options to obtain.
Be born a female in Kansas
During BitLife's Defying Gravity challenge, your first goal is to be born a female in Kansas. To do this, pick female as your starting gender, the United States as your country, and Kansas City as your place. While you have other options like Wichita, Kansas City is always a safe bet.
Once you create your character, age up until you attend school to prepare for the next objective. You'll have a few in-game years to finish it, but working fast will help give you one less thing to worry about.
Become best friends with a popular girl in school
Becoming best friends with a popular girl in school first requires finding someone who fits this criteria. Now that your character is in school, head to School, your school, and Class before selecting each of your classmates. You'll find a bar next to "Popularity" with your main goal being to find someone with an almost maxed-out stat.
After finding a popular girl at your character's school, befriend her before attempting to become her best friend. At first, she might say no, especially if your relationship isn't maxed. If this happens, go through your class list again and repeat the process until one becomes your best friend. You can change your status by heading into Relationships, selecting your friend, and picking Change Our Status.
Study Physics in university
With a best friend by your side, it's time to move on to university. Once your character turns 18 and graduates high school, enrol in a university program and pick physics as your major.
Completing this will knock out the third task, but it isn't enough for the fourth. Instead, after completing your physics program, enrol again and pick Engineering. You won't need it yet, but you will require it later.
Work as a pilot
After studying physics and engineering at university, you'll have one more requirement to fulfil: getting a pilot's license. To do this, head into Activities, License, and Flight School. You need 40 hours in Flight School, so be prepared to spend a few thousand.
Once you complete 40 hours of Flight School, select Pilot's License and answer the quiz question correctly. If you're unfamiliar with this quiz, we have a complete list of BitLife's Pilot License test answers. Correctly answering it will give you your license, making you eligible to apply for a Pilot Trainee position in the full-time job list.
Fly an airplane that you own
After applying for a pilot trainee position and passing the interview, you'll be ready to complete the final task of flying your own airplane. Thankfully, you already have a pilot's license, so you won't have to worry about that. Instead, the main obstacle is having the money to afford one.
You'll find a list of airplanes in Activities, Shopping, and Aircraft Brokers. If you're lucky, you'll find gliders for as low as $100,000, giving you an easy way to finish this objective without paying millions. Otherwise, don't be too surprised if the lowest price plane costs a few hundred thousand.
After buying a plane, you'll find it under Assets and Vehicles. From here, you can select it and fly it to knock out the final task of BitLife's Defying Gravity challenge, rewarding you with a mysterious prize box.

The Monster Hunter series is no stranger to odd collectibles, and Monster Hunter Wilds carries on that tradition with items like the Origin Wylk Gem. Knowing where to find these items not only nets you a healthy bit of investigation points but also helps you more easily stock up on rare items.
Where to get Origin Wylk Gem in Monster Hunter Wilds
Only one location in Monster Hunter Wilds generates Origin Wylk Gem: the Ruins of Wyveria. You don't earn access to that location until near the end of the Low Rank story campaign, and you have to re-earn access to the Ruins in High Rank, as well.
Origin Wylk Gem is a special item, meaning it has no use while in a hunt. You'll only find them by gathering from one of two points, called Whitegleam Gemstone, in the Ruins. The first is on the south end of Area 7 on the second floor of the zone. The second is on the southeastern end of Area 9, also on the second floor.
You can only gather one Origin Wylk Gem per attempt, and the gathering point goes on a 15-minute cooldown once used. That should net you at a hard limit of eight Gems per hour, but there's currently a (likely unintended) workaround.
After collecting, fast travel to any other region in the game, then immediately return to the Ruins of Wyveria. That should reset the timer, and you can gather Origin Wylk Gems again.
What to do with Origin Wylk Gems in Monster Hunter Wilds
As they're not consumables or crafting materials, there are only a few uses for Origin Wylk Gems. When used properly, however, they can be incredibly valuable. As of writing, there are two main uses for Origin Wylk Gems:
Now you know where to get and what to do with any Origin Wylk Gems you collect in your Monster Hunter Wilds adventure. It's not imperative you stock up on a massive stack of them, but having at least a dozen or so handy for the odd trade will save you that little bit of extra time.

To produce a best-selling novel is undoubtedly a staggering feat. Anyone who's ever tried to publish a book knows the drawn-out and thankless process that's involved -- assuming they can even get anything published at all.
But there are some novels out there that have not only stood the test of time but have gone on to become veritable staples in the literary world. These are stories that have had such an impact on readers and the public in general that they've basically influenced the cultural world that followed.
In honor of World Book Day, it's worth giving a shoutout to those novels and authors that have shaped reading over the years. Their work has been published in numerous languages, had endless reprints, and continued to inspire people.
I've compiled this list using a number of resources in order to make it as correct as possible, but it's still worth saying that sales figures are approximates. So, with that in mind, here are the 10 best-selling novels ever.
10) The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe - C.S. Lewis (85 million)
C.S. Lewis is not only one of the most influential fantasy authors of all time, but his Chronicles of Narnia series is also one of the most successful in children's fantasy. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe is the second of seven books in the whole series and has sold over 85 million copies since being published in 1950.
The story has enjoyed numerous adaptations to TV, an animated miniseries, theater productions, and the 2005 film co-produced by Walt Disney. The book's theme of religiosity is well-documented, with notable similarities to Christianity. Lewis was also close friends with legendary writer J.R.R. Tolkien, which leads me neatly into our next entry.
9) The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien (100 million)
Let's face it: without Tolkien's work, many people would unlikely be enjoying the fantasy genre as we understand it today. Telling the story of Bilbo Baggins, the author's 1937 book ticks every box in the genre: wizards, dragons, grand adventures, bravery.
By no means was The Hobbit the first-ever fantasy novel, but with over 100 million in sales since its publication, its impact on the genre cannot be overstated. One might even say it's something of a blueprint for what Tolkien would give the world next.
8) Dream of the Red Chamber - Cao Xueqin (100 million)
Published in 1791, Xueqin's epic family tale is not only the oldest book on this list but it's also said to be one of the best novels in Chinese literature ever written. Dream of the Red Chamber tells the story of the Qing dynasty, with themes of love and marriage, corruption, death, and financial ruin thrown into the mix. It's the fifth part in what is known as the Dreamer Awakes saga.
Don't worry if you're not overly familiar with this novel. It's possible that because of its deep roots in Chinese history, it may have skipped over a number of English-speaking readers. However, the fact that it's sold over 100 million copies worldwide shows that it's clearly had influence outside its country of origin, such that some consider it China's answer to Romeo and Juliet.
7) And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie (100 million)
It's nearly impossible not to mention the name Agatha Christie when talking about murder mystery novels. The author's name is practically synonymous with the genre, with her work giving rise to two of the most iconic names in English literature: Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
And Then There Were None – published in 1939 – centers around eight people arriving on an island off the coast of Devon, who are then killed off one by one. One of the novel's major plot elements is the use of a rhyme, which has caused contention over the years due to its use of what we now consider to be racially insensitive language (to put it mildly). Still, it hasn't stopped the book from becoming the world's best-selling mystery novel.
6) Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll (100 million)
I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that I was once in an amateur stage production of Carroll's iconic 1865 novel. I played one of the Queen's guards. I had one line: "or a tooth in the front row of your best smile" (if I recall). It's a wonder I never went pro, yeah?
Anyway, Alice's Adventure in Wonderland is a classic in children's literature. When you think of it, most of the best-selling novels of all time seem to be aimed mainly at younger readers. This either says something about the number of children that are keen on books or about how the more successful ones can transcend arbitrary concepts such as age and be proven popular among people from all walks of life.
5) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - J.K. Rowling (120 million)
The Sorcerer's Stone (called The Philosopher's Stone here in the UK) was published in 1997 and since then, the series has become a global sensation, spawning one of the most lucrative media franchises in recent history.
It boggles the mind to think that not only can your first book go on to become a worldwide rags-to-riches success story, but it can also sit comfortably as one of the best-selling novels of all time, rubbing elbows with some of the most renowned names in literature.
4) The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (140 million)
There seems to be some debate about how many copies of de Saint-Exupéry's 1943 fantasy novel has sold. However, I'm going to stick with more conservative estimates. For example, Harper Stacks (as well as some other sources) have it down as selling 140 million copies. Others suggest it could be way more. We'll stick with the former.
The Little Prince (or "Le Petit Prince" to give it its original French title) is a tale about a young prince's travels through space. Part science-fiction, part fantasy, this classic novel is beloved by millions of children from around the world, and I'd wager many adults as well.
3) The Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien (150 million)
If The Hobbit is a mere apéritif in the literary world, then The Lord of the Rings is a veritable banquet. It is, without question, the most influential high fantasy story of all time, an epic tale of a journey across Middle Earth that follows the titular ring that's fallen into the hands of Frodo Baggins.
That is a massively over-simplified version of the plot, I'll admit. The whole story spans three pretty dense tomes, which means a few of you may be wondering why it's on this list. Some don't even include it precisely because it's typically seen as a trilogy. However, it's said that Tolkien intended it as one complete novel, and it's allegedly managed to rack up an impressive 150 million in worldwide sales.
2) A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens (200 million)
Charles Dickens is easily one of the most famous names in English literature, on par with such other giants as Shakespeare or Stevenson. Some of his most notable works have maintained their significance despite how old they are and include the classics A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, and more.
But it seems A Tale of Two Cities bests them all in terms of sheer volumes sold. With over 200 million copies shifted since it was published in 1859, Dickens maintains his status as one of the most enduring authors of all time, more than 150 years after his death.
1) Don Quixote - Miguel de Cervantes (500 million)
As well as being the best-selling novel in history, Cervantes' 17th-century epic is also said to be the first modern novel ever written. With the first of two parts released in 1605, The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha has had about 420 years to accrue so many sales, but it's not just sheer time that's the reason it's sold half a billion copies.
Its metafictional narrative and epic storytelling had an enormous impact on the literary world, with a tale of chivalry that's said to have influenced such greats as Alexandre Dumas and Mark Twain. Salman Rushdie even attempted his own "quixotic" story with his 2019 novel Quichotte (and wonderful it is, too).

As we can see here, sadly, not all Races in Arcane Lineage were created equal. Excellent classes like Dullahan and Vydeer have a very low chance to drop, and some races are only obtainable after completing certain quests. We recommend following our Race Obtainment guide to ensure you play with your favorite class.
Arcane Lineage Race List
Each Race has its individual ups and downs, meaning none of them are bad. So do not despair if you do not get the top % ones right at the start. By playing and using strategy, you can unlock more and more Races, improving your adventure over time. Estella and Stultus are excellent beginner options, as they do not require much knowledge and they come with high stats.
How to Reroll your Race in Arcane Lineage
To reroll your Race in Arcane Lineage, you need to reach level 20 and use a special item called Lineage Shard. Upon using a Lineage Shard, you will delete your save and start a new character, giving you another chance to get your desired race. This item is being sold by one specific NPC that spawns every few hours, so make sure to check the time. Another way is to simply die. Once you die enough times and all your lives are lost, you will go to the Purgatory. There, you will have the option to be Born Anew, which will delete your save, and the option to start a new character for 125 Robux will be available. You can also just buy character slots from the main menu for 150 Robux.

If you love playing Rush mode in EA FC 25, the Christian Benteke FUT Birthday card is free to unlock.
The new card is part of the latest Rush objective, and you'll need to complete several tasks. Let's take a look at all the tasks and how to unlock the Benteke item in the end.
EA FC 25 Christian Benteke FUT Birthday objective guide
The new Rush objective has four tasks to complete, all of which are part of the Festive Fun Flash Rush event.
Once you complete all four tasks, you'll get the new 88-rated card. For a free item, it's not bad at all. The card's greatest strength is the presence of 5* Skill Moves and 5* Weak Foot, apart from 88 Shooting and 90 Physicality. Finesse Shot+ will also feel a lot of fun, but Acrobatic+ is a slight miss in the current meta (despite the broken Corner technique). The card might not be broken by any means, but it's always recommended to unlock any item that's available for free.
Being an 88-rated card, chances are high for it to be eligible for one of the upcoming evolutions. You can also get plenty of interesting packs from completing the individual tasks and 1,000 SP. 2025 is in full swing, and Gacha fans already have more than enough reasons to be excited, as the year is expected to follow 2024's lineup of stellar Gacha games with a few heavy-hitting releases of its own. To help you keep track and find a new title to fall in love with, here are the biggest Gacha games set to be released in 2025 and beyond.

Arknights: Endfield
A sequel/spin-off to one of the genre's flagships, Arknights: Endfield brings all of the visual charm the franchise is known for to the 3D medium, and yes, it looks just as stunning as you can expect. Taking place in Talos-II, the game will see players take on the role of the Administrator as they and their operators explore and uncover the truth within this new world.
Edgefield will also mark a shift in the franchise's combat system in favor of a real-time tactical-based style set to make Xenoblade fans feel strangely at home. Ananta
Previously known as Project Mugen, Ananta is set to put players in the shoes of an elite Anti-Chaos Directorate agent as they fight to keep order in Nova City, a beautiful metropolis brimming with life and unique chaotic energy.
Much like Cyberpunk 2077's Night City, the setting also seems to be the star here, as players will be given the freedom to explore it to their hearts' content, be it by swinging among skyscrapers, joining in on a myriad of activities, or even taking the wheel in both leisure rides and epic chases. From combat to fell, I can only summarize Ananta as GTA meets Genshin Impact.
The Hidden Ones
Based on Dong Man Tang and Mi Er's The Outcast franchise, The Hidden Ones promises to bring a perfect balance of cinematic storytelling and pristine graphics, all paired with a fast-paced combat system that mixes mythical martial arts with the grounds set by arena fighters. The game also promises to provide a unique focus on skill-based PVP content, where knowing how to play and counter multiple characters will be the keys to victory.
Duet Night Abyss
The most unique among our shortlist, Duet Night Abyss earned the spotlight via its unique combat system, which focuses on mobility while mixing both action RPG and 3rd-person FPS elements. To be more specific, the latter is seen in the way all characters can freely switch between a wide array of melee and ranged weapons when in combat, all while still having access to unique kits featuring regular skills, ultimates, and passives.
The game's main story also shows a lot of promise. In it, players will take on the role of a duo of protagonists (the Proxyhunter and the Boy/Girl in the Dream) and experience two separate but still intertwined stories, each featuring a different feel and cast.
Black Beacon
Made by many developers known for their work in Kuro Games' Punishing Gray Raven, Black Beacon seems to keep the former's characteristic and eerie feel. The title also seems to add a new layer to its combo-based combat system. In the game, players will take on the role of the Seer, the Head Librarian of the Library of Babel, as they fight their way to uncover all of the secrets found within the library and its seemingly infinite Unknown Sector.

As you could see above, the sequel/spin-off is not the only highlight, though, with Ananta and Duet Night Abyss also set to make a splash via their high degree of freedom and novel approach to storytelling. I like that you can complete this with less than 200,000 coins worth of fodder. While the SBC is cheap, the card could have been better. It has decent stats but lacks Physicality (85). Intercept+ is excellent for an RB, but the same can't be said about Block+. She also has role+ as a Fullback, and a role++ would have been beneficial.
The SBC is certainly well-valued, but a better card would have been much more appreciable. The recent Cristiano Ronaldo Flashback SBC is a perfect example of how you can make an expensive card as long as the stats are alright.

If you've recently purchased and downloaded The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies, then you're probably looking forward to diving in and testing out all of the new gameplay elements introduced with the latest expansion pack.
However, for those who use Mods, this might be easier said than done. An issue can arise in modded installations when loading the new world of Nordhaven, preventing you from even selecting a house, let alone seeing any of the new features. If you've just dove in and found yourself facing a white screen, here's how to fix it.
How to fix Nordhaven white screen in The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies
You may have come across a few posts on Reddit or other forums saying you need to disable all of your CC and restart The Sims 4 to fix the issue. That can be pretty frustrating, especially if you have some much-loved CC that goes into every build.
However, you don't need to disable all of your CC and mods, as the white screen issue seems to be caused by a single Mod, arguably one of the most popular and beloved Mods out there — T.O.O.L.
To make the world of Nordhaven load as it should, you'll need to live without T.O.O.L. for just a little while until it gets an update to keep it in line with the new pack. Here's how to remove it from your Mods folder:
After doing this, you should be free to reload The Sims 4, get to Nordhaven, and start living out your small business dreams.
What is the T.O.O.L. Mod?
T.O.O.L. stands for "Take Objects Off Lot," and it allows you to place any Sims 4 object or CC on or off any lot within a save file, making it excellent for designing entire worlds to suit your tastes. You usually can't add things outside of designated lots, so having the option to place cars on roads or extra trees or clutter around is a great option to have.
However, it's also useful for smaller things, such as interior decorating. Lord knows that decorating interiors can be finicky, and T.O.O.L. is another way to make things a little easier. You can change the size of objects using percentages to fine-tune the size in a more customizable way than the box bracket keys allow. You can also change the orientation of items, angle paintings against walls, and even create entire upside-down rooms if you feel like it.

While the card is pretty good in stats and playstyles, the SBC is far too expensive for my liking. It requires 1.4 million coins worth of fodder, which could have been lower. He's ideally suited for a CDM role, thanks to his 90 Defense and 92 Physicality. Sadly, the card could have been much better regarding playstyles, as it lacks silver Intercept.
In comparison, the recently released Connor Gallagher Fantasy SBC offers better value and could even match this card with upcoming upgrades.

Arachnophobia isn't something to mess around with, and while Monster Hunter Wilds doesn't have too many arachnid-like enemies and monsters, there are few of them roaming the Forbidden Lands.
Fortunately, the game offers an Arachnophobia Assistance option in the settings to make sure you don't see any arachnids on your screen. To see where that setting is and how to turn it on in Monster Hunter Wilds, check out the guide below.
Enabling Arachnophobia Assistance in Monster Hunter Wilds
The process to enable this setting is extremely simple. However, you can actually turn it on by default when you start a new save file in Monster Hunter Wilds. The game goes through all of its accessibility settings before you can create a new character, and Arachnophobia Assistance is one of those settings. This is somewhat easy to miss, though, so follow the steps below to turn on the setting:
By turning on Arachnophobia Assistance, you make any arachnid-like monster or enemy turn into a jumble of shapes. However, if you're fighting a large monster, you can still tell what they are even if they are clouded by some shapes. For smaller enemies, the Arachnophobia Assistance setting works great and you're given no indication as to what they really are.
When you enable the setting, you're only changing the appearance of these specific monsters that the developers have deemed as the most "arachnid-like." Turning on the setting does nothing in terms of altering the enemy's damage, health, or other elements.
How to increase the effectiveness of Arachnophobia Assistance in Monster Hunter Wilds
If you turn on Arachnophobia Assistance and find that it's not doing the job in the way you had hoped, there is another step you can take. One member of the community, TeaSharkLad, has created a mod that completely covers the more spider-like enemies and turns them into a faceless slime that features zero arachnid elements whatsoever. This mod is called "Temnophobia Mode" and it's available to download on NexusMods. The mod creator states the larger Temnocerans, Nerscylla, and Lala Barina enemies are the most affected by the mod.
Unfortunately, this boost to the Arachnophobia Assistance setting can only be used on PC, as consoles don't have the ability to access community mods. As with any mod, you download it at your own risk. If you follow the modder's instructions on how to install it, though, you'll be able to get it up and running with no issues. Mods are not illegal in Monster Hunter Wilds, so you can download them freely as long as you know the proper installation method.
With the default Arachnophobia Assistance setting and the community mod both working for you, Monster Hunter Wilds is pretty arachnid-free. Console players only have access to the default assistance setting, but hopefully, the developers at Capcom will make some updates to it to make it more effective with the larger monsters. If you're on PC, though, you're all set.
