A bunch of playtester footage for the next, modern-day-set Battlefield game has slipped past EA's non-disclosure agreements and erupted all over social media. The footage stems from the company's Battlefield Labs community testing program, and consists of multiple consecutive minutes of burly shootyfolks running down alleyways through showers of grit, firing very briefly at enemy troopers, and getting themselves bullet-bonked back to the lobby screen.

EA had been taking the videos down, but have seemingly now decided to let them roll. It's the kind of tactical withdrawal in the face of overwhelming numbers that seldom occurs to me when I play Battlefield, because I always play Battlefield in the character of a movie extra. I am here to cultivate the ambience for other players by prancing around yodelling "INCOMING", not contribute to our victory.

Silent Hill f

Konami announced a Silent Hill Transmission stream will include details about Silent Hill f. The broadcast will held on March 13, 2025 and will begin at 3PM PT/6PM ET/11PM CET. The announcement was revealed on X, with Konami stating that links to the stream would appear soon.

You can check out the announcement below:

https://twitter.com/Konami/status/1899218771350306859

In an interview published in December 2024, Producer of the Silent Hill 2 remake, and Silent Hill f, suggested that more information about f could appear in 2025. And it looks like that information is certainly on the way. However, Konami hasn't provided details as to what could appear during the broadcast, such as a prospective release date, or if players will get a glimpse at any kind of gameplay footage.

Silent Hill f was announced in 2022 during a Silent Hill Transmission stream. While it was shared that Ryukishi07, the creator and writer of the Umineko and Higurashi series, would be lending his talent to the game, other information has been scarce.

That said, Konami has been steadily releasing Silent Hill games and merchandise over the course of the past two years. Silent Hill: The Short Message, which is a free "experience" was released on the PlayStation 5, with the Silent Hill 2 remake released for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Silent Hill f is in development.

Meet the Zenless Zone Zero Character Hugo

HoYoVerse confirmed there will be two 1.7 Zenless Zone Zero characters belonging to the Mockingbird faction debuting in the near future, and one of them is Hugo. He's teased in the latest storyline, where he makes a cameo appearance. However, we won't get to use the Agent until after that update.

The initial information shared some insights into what we can expect from him. He'll be an Attack type character, so he'll be a DPS unit on a team. He'll also deal Ice element damage. However, we don't know if his weapon will be a Pierce, Slash, or Strike type. We also don't know for sure if he'll be an A-rank or S-rank player. When it came to comments from other individuals, the only recognizable one came from Lycaon. He criticized Hugo's methods for dealing with issues.

Here are all three infographics for Hugo that HoYoVerse shared.

An initial YouTube Short teaser for Hugo appeared. This offers a chance to see more of the character art and hear his voice actors. Here's the English version of that trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/P3Q217Qte8g

And his Japanese voice actor can be heard in this version of the short.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/_QrhtSsJWQE

Hugo is one of two Mockingbird faction characters revealed for Zenless Zone Zero so far. The other is Vivian. She's going to be not only an Anomaly unit, which isn't always as common as other types, but is tied to the unique Ether element.

Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 1.6 update arrives on March 12, 2025.

Super Mario Uniqlo UT Archive

Uniqlo has revealed that it will bring back some of its prior T-shirts with designs from Nintendo's Super Mario series. These shirts will appear under the UT Archive line, and the brand will resell them in its Japanese stores in late April 2025.

The apparel brand picked twelve designs from three prior collections: Super Mario 35th, Super Mario Family Museum, and Mario Kart Friendship. However, only half of them will be available for adults this time around. The remaining half will be exclusively available as children's shirts. All of the designs are unisex and available to be worn by anyone.

This selection has a specific focus on designs from the Super Mario Bros game series that appeared first in the NES in 1985, as well as the Mario Kart series that launched with Super Mario Kart for the SNES in 1992. That also means the Super Mario Bros Movie collection released in 2023 is not included in this lineup.

The following designs will be available for adults at ¥1,500 (~$10.20), with sizes ranging from XS to 4XL. If ordering for yourself, make sure to double-check the sizing to ensure they will fit properly.

And the children's designs below will cost less at just ¥990 (~$6.75), but they will exclusively appear for kids with sizes from 100 to 160:

The Super Mario series UT Archive T-shirts will be available in the Japanese Uniqlo physical and online stores in late April 2025.

Cover is working on the first Hololive mobile rhythm game with project code Dreams

Cover revealed during the Hololive 6th Fes concert that it is working on the first-ever official Hololive mobile rhythm game. It is currently known by the project code Dreams, and the company plans to release the game simultaneously worldwide. However, there will be a few regional exceptions, though we don't know what those are yet.

Nothing much else was announced during the reveal. However, Cover added a major clue that this mobile game will let players "enjoy Hololive songs." That line makes this mobile game very likely to become a rhythm game featuring original songs performed by the group's Japanese, Indonesian, and English Vtubers.

The official teaser trailer is available to watch right below:

https://twitter.com/hololivetv/status/1898716902232612971

Cover also published a new Holo no Grafitti episode that covered the new mobile game announcement on YouTube. However, this video mostly contains the group Vtubers' own predictions about the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCuvClLuidM

Original songs performed by Hololive Vtubers have frequently been added to other established rhythm games, such as Taito's Groove Coaster and Konami's Jubeat and Sound Voltex. Dreams will thus be the first game to have an exclusive focus on Hololive Vtuber songs.

The official Hololive rhythm game for mobile devices is still under development with the project code Dreams. Cover will reveal more details about the mobile game, including its full title and worldwide release window, at a later time.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Anime Will Stream on Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll confirmed it will be the streaming home of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, an anime spin-off of the main manga and anime series. We already knew it would debut in April 2025, but now that's been pinned down to April 7, 2025. As usual, these will be simulcasts out of Japan, so only Japanese audio with English subtitles will be available when it first debuts. The original anime adaptation and two movies based on the series are already streaming on the service.

To go along with the reveal, there is a new trailer for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes that shows off the main characters in the new anime. You do need to turn on closed captions for the English translation. It starts by introducing Koichi "Nice Guy" Haimawari, the hero of the series and head vigilante. He meets Iwao "Knuckleduster" Oguro, a vigilante who takes him under his wing. Also in their group is Kazuho "Pop Star" Haneyama. The footage of them trying to be heroes in their own way is interspersed with moments in their college life. We also see their main opponent and goal to help wipe out a drug that enhances Quirks and makes people into villains.

Here's the full trailer. Toward the halfway mark, we get to hear the Kocchi no Kento theme song "Kekka Orai."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84F2-8QExiY

The new key art also appeared, which shows the three lead characters and other prominent figures in the show. Here's how that looks:

As for Japanese voice actors, here's who is part of the cast. Many performers are reprising their roles from the original My Hero Academia anime adaptation.

  • All Might: Kenta Miyake
  • Eraser Head: Junichi Suwabe
  • Ingenium: Masamichi Kitada
  • Knuckleduster: Yasuhiro Mamiya
  • Koichi Haimawari: Shuichiro Umeda
  • Midnight: Akeno Watanabe
  • Pop Step: Ikumi Hasegawa
  • Present Mic: Hiroyuki Yoshino

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime will be streaming on Crunchyroll starting on April 7, 2025. The original series and its movies are also on that service. Viz Media handles the manga and other spin-off books outside Japan.

New Hololive Vtuber Nendoroids Include Fuwamoco Fuwawa mococo

During Hololive Super Expo 2025 and Hololive 6th Fes, Good Smile Company shared its Vtuber Nendoroids, including the Fuwamoco figures of Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard. These are in various stages of development, and some appeared as painted prototypes. This means we could see pre-orders for a few appear in the next few weeks.

The Hololive Vtuber Nendoroids furthest along are ones in the casual clothes line. Concept art for these first debuted in March 2024 at last year's Hololive Super Expo. Pre-orders for the Houshou Marine Office Lady version that is part of this line already opened ahead of its September 2025 debut. The Usada Pekora and Oozora Subaru ones also appeared as painted prototypes at the event, so those pre-orders will likely open soon. However, the Shirakami Fubuki and Sakura Miko ones are still in the unpainted prototype phase, so they won't likely appear until perhaps 2026.

Here's how all of those look so far:

As for the Hololive English Vtuber Nendoroids, there are some from the Promise group and the first two Fuwamoco Fuwawa and Mococo Advent figures. In the case of Promise, Ceres Fauna is absent as she graduated in 2024. However, the unpainted prototypes of Hakos Baelz, IRyS, Nanashi Mumei, and Ouro Kronii are all there. The Fuwamoco ones also showed up as unpainted prototypes.

Here's how all six of those are coming along:

Good Smile Company's released multiple Hololive figures of people from the English and Japanese. It's also released ones for other companies like Nijisanji and VShojo, in addition to indie performers.

There are no release windows for any of the Hololive Super Expo 2025 and Hololive 6th Fes Vtuber Nendoroids, though it's likely the new Usada Pekora and Oozora Subaru figures will be the next to release.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Art Portfolio

Konami has released an extensive concept art portfolio for the Silent Hill 2 remake, showing off the work of Bloober Team's artists. It is publicly available through the game's official website. This is available worldwide, and there's no language barrier when it comes to looking through the designs that shaped the game.

The new art portfolio shows off a wide variety of work for the Silent Hill 2 remake from people like members of Bloober Team's roster. It's separated by individual artists, organized alphabetically by their names. This also helps separate the types of art available. The work created by the concept artists shows off the early vision of the remake. Meanwhile, character and asset artists' pieces show off detailed images of in-game models.

For instance, the art portfolio of lead character artist Pablo Poliakov shows off detailed images of James Sunderland, Pyramid Head, and a nurse. Elsewhere, the work of asset artists such as Jan Kasperczyk and Aleksandra Zajac show off models of various in-game items such as the Great Knife or the hospital puzzle box. The work of concept artists like Aneta Bielas and Michal Salata show detailed sketches of how the team wanted the Silent Hill 2 remake looked early on.

It's not the first time Konami has shown off artwork for the Silent Hill 2 remake. The Collector's Edition of the game came with a digital artbook. That also contained concept artwork that helped shape the design of the title. However, this art portfolio has made much of this artwork available for a wider audience. It also helps with preservation efforts, since by sharing it online we have greater access to it even if something were to happen to the digital artbook due to storefront issues.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is out now for the PS5 and PC worldwide.

One of the player characters from Rogue: Genesia running on a light blue map that looks like tundra.

As it is tradition for the genre, going back even before Vampire Survivor, random equipment drops are an important element of Rogue: Genesia. And just like its inspiration, the most important part about random equipment drops is how they play together.

On the one hand, this means making sure your equipment card have some synergy. For example, if accumulate a big bonus on projectile speed, you should pick up a lot of projectile-based weapons. On the other hand, there's a much more direct way to optimize equipment: Evolved weapons.

If you've ever played Vampire Survivor, you will recognize those as Evolutions. Similar to Evolutions, Evolved Weapons in Rogue: Genesia like normal weapons, with two big differences. They're much better than a normal weapon, and they can't be found normally when leveling up. Instead, an Evolved weapon is more like an upgrade, or better yet a mix of two max level items, one of which is always a weapon. Here's how you can find Evolved weapons yourself.

Every Rogue: Genesia weapon evolution and how to get it

The soul-card selection screen from Rogue: Genesia, the player is selecting the evolved weapon Staff of Storms.

This is a list of every Evolved weapon in Rogue: Genesia. Keep in mind that you need to have all the weapon-type Requirement cards at max level before you can find the Evolved weapon as a random drop. Not every card that appears as a requirement will be available at the start of the game, but you can unlock the vast majority of them by playing the game normally.

Some weapons' requirement have requirements of their own. Those are highlighted with an asterisk (*) and described in detail below.

Requirement 1 Requirement 2 Requirement 3 Requirement 4 Evolved Weapon
Pike Light Spirit Arcane Beam Arcanic Lance
Ice Nova Arcane Beam Explosive Vial Angelic Prism
Shaman Staff Magic Wand Arcanist's Staff
Katana Fire Spirit Artificier's Katana
Crossbow Throwing Knife Ballista
Cleaver Swordrang Divine Smite* Death Scythe
Bow Explosive Vial Explosive Bow
Fire Ring Death Aura Jaald's Amulet
Shuriken Kunai Fuuma Shuriken
Katana Wind's Blade Silph's Blade
Worm Gland Void Spirit* Singularity Gland
Spear Light Spirit Sola's Lance
Thunder Staff Thunder Spirit Staff of Storm
Crystal Sword Fire Spirit Light Spirit Cleaver Sun Sword
Thunder Staff Explosive Vial Thunder Vial
Magic Wisp Void Spirit* Void Wisp

To craft Divine Smite, which is required to find Death Scythe, first find Absolute Focus and Analysis. Unlike weapons, you do not need to level up those cards to the maximum level before Void Spirit can appear.

To craft Void Spirit, which is required to find Void Wisp and Singularity Gland, you have to first find Candle, Low Pressure, Student, and Void. Again, not all those cards need to be leveled up as high as possible.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

If you prefer your superheroes off the books, you've likely been keeping your eyes on the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime. The anime adaptation of the spinoff was previously lined up for an April 7 premiere, and now Crunchyroll has confirmed plans for a simulcast.

There's no exact time as of this writing, but Crunchyroll lists the following territories for streaming: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. In the meantime, a new Japanese trailer debuted along with the announcement that Kocchi no Kento will perform the opening theme song, "Kekka Orai."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84F2-8QExiY

There's also a new key visual:

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime was first announced during Jump Festa 2025 in December. Kenichi Suzuki (chief director of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) directs, with Yosuke Kuroda of My Hero Academia writing series composition and Takahiko Yoshida (Cells at Work) on character designs for the Bones production.

The story follows down-and-out college student Koichi Haimawairi, who has all but given up on his dream of being a superhero. Despite the fact that 80 percent of the population has powers known as Quirks, few are actually chosen to go down the path of the pro hero. Things change when Koichi and a young hero named Pop☆Step run into the vigilante Knuckleduster, who soon puts them both to work.

Shuichiro Umeda leads the voice cast as Koichi Haimawairi/The Crawler alongside Ikumi Hasegawa as Kazuho Haneyama/Pop☆Step and Yasuhiro Mamiya as Oguro Iwao/Knuckleduster.

Writer Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrator Betten Court launched the manga as a spinoff of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia back in August 2016. The anime adaptation comes just ahead of the eighth and final season of MHA proper, which drops this fall.

Using the Spirit Box in Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia's Speedrun Challenge is the ultimate thrill for ghost hunters. It's a pulse-pounding race against the clock as you face off against eerie spirits to earn significant rewards. To maximize your time, we'll show you how to complete this challenge quickly, including how to identify ghost types.

Phasmophobia Speedrun Weekly Challenge guide

The Speedrun! Challenges appear frequently on the weekly board as you try to find all ghost types on 6 Tanglewood Drive thrice. Be sure to select this contract and change it to Challenge Mode before starting a round.

Beginning the Speedrun Challenge in Phasmophobia

Best items to use in the Phasmophobia Speedrun Challenge

Fortunately, you'll have plenty of advantages to quickly get you through the challenge. This includes player speed increase, all Cursed Possessions, Tier 3 items, and activated Fuse boxes (turn on lights around the house). Once you're ready, grab the following items:

  • EMF Reader
  • UV Light
  • Thermometer
  • D.O.T.S. Projector
  • Tripod Camera
  • Spirit Box
  • Haunted Mirror

You first want to use the Haunted Mirror at 6 Tanglewood Drive, which will be near the master bedroom. Interact with it to see the ghost's favorite room, aka their preferred spot in the house. Don't use it for too long, or you may trigger a cursed haunt (breaking the mirror and eliminating you).

Haunted Mirror in 6 Tanglewood Drive
Screenshot by Destructoid

Enter the Haunted Mirror's room and start using any of the items mentioned above. Place the D.O.T. Projector on the wall to monitor any movement in its radius. Then, utilize the Thermometer and UV Light for any Ultraviolet or Freezing Temperature Evidence. You can also set up the Tripod and exit the room to monitor any movement via the Truck. You just want to throw in as much equipment as possible to gather three pieces of evidence in under five minutes or so.

Test out all the equipment to see what type of ghost it is, and then head to the Truck once you've acquired enough evidence. Sometimes, you'll get lucky and finish the task in a minute, while other times, you'll have to wait for more proof. To complete the Phasmophobia Speedrun challenge, you must identify the 6 Tanglewood Drive ghosts in three different playthroughs.

You'll get 5,000 cash in return, allowing you to purchase more equipment in other modes. It's a pretty easy way to make cash, whether you're a veteran or a newcomer to the game. Plus, you can participate in this task again whenever it pops up. Just use the techniques above, and you should complete the round in a few minutes. For more Phasmophobia content, check out our guide on all Cursed Items in Bleasdale Farmhouse.

It's no wonder that Split Fiction sales seem to be strong as the developer behind it, Hazelight Studios, also created Game of the Year winner It Takes Two. It's fairly easy for people to get into the co-op experience because if one person buys the game, their friend can play it for free. The game also has a unique concept as it blends fantasy and sci-fi elements into the narrative and gameplay.

Split Fiction has received critical acclaim across the board due to its inspiring level design and innovative co-op gameplay, with a 90 OpenCritic score. "I wish I could go on about each level and its intricacies since I could easily ramble on numerous incredible moments," said our 9.5/10 review. "This is one of those games that thrives on surprising you at every corner, and hearing my friend's reactions was just as fulfilling as experiencing my own."

There seem to be three certainties we can rely on in the gaming industry. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe selling gangbusters after many years, Minecraft still hitting the Top 10 best sellers list, and the "F the Oscars" guy Josef Fares' developer killing it with each release.

Where to find all cursed items in Bleasdale Farmhouse in Phasmophobia

As of March 10, 2025, Phasmophobia has released the v0.12.0.1 Bleasdale Farmhouse Rework update that has revamped the map as well as where the cursed items are. Here is all the cursed item locations in Bleasdale Farmhouse in Phasmophobia with the rework update.

Screenshot by Destructoid

All Bleasdale Farmhouse cursed item locations

The Bleasdale Farmhouse rework update for Phasmophobia not only changed up the map layout itself, but it also moved around the location of the cursed items and other interactables. I recommend using the above map that shows all three floors so you know exactly where to look for each cursed item. Here's where you can find each of the seven cursed items on the reworked Bleasdale Farmhouse map.

Bleasdale Farmhouse Floor 1 cursed items

There are three cursed items located on the first floor of the reworked Bleasdale Farmhouse. Here is where you can find all three cursed items on Floor 1:

  • 1. Summoning Circle - Located on the western side of the Bleasdale Farmhouse first floor in the Utility Room.
  • 2. Music Box - Found on the wall stand on the northern wall of the Tea Room on the first floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse.
  • 3. Ouija Board - Sitting on the table next to the couch in the Living Room of the first floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse.

Bleasdale Farmhouse Floor 2 cursed items

Moving up to the second floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse you will find another three cursed items. This is where you want to look for all three cursed items on Floor 2 of the Bleasdale Farmhouse:

  • 4. Money Paw - You will find the Monkey Paw on the western wall stand of the Study on the second floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse.
  • 5. Voodoo Doll - The Voodoo Doll is sitting on the table on the western partition of the large Master Bedroom located on the second floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse.
  • 6. Haunted Mirror - Hanging on the wall in the Trophy Room on the southern side of the Second Floor of the Bleasdale Farmhouse is the Haunted Mirror.

Bleasdale Farmhouse Attic cursed items

The top floor, the attic, of the reworked Bleasdale Farmhouse map contains just a single cursed item, the Tarot Cards. You can find the Tarot Cards in the bottom part of the Attic Bedroom. Head up into the attic then head east through the Attic Space until you reach the bedroom, then down into the second smaller part of the room to find them.

The Hunter faces a group of Yian Kut-Ku in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Armorcharm and Powercharm are among two of the most valuable items you can use in Monster Hunter Wilds, and the two of them can significantly boost your base attack and defense.

There are different ways to boost your stats inside the game. One helpful way is to use different consumables, which temporarily boost your stats. Armorcharm and Powercharm's boosts work differently, and their locations can be confusing.

How to get Powercharm in Monster Hunter Wilds

Unlike most items in Monster Hunter Wilds, you can't craft Powercharm (or Armorcharm). You'll first need to reach High Rank and proceed along the main storyline. Once you have access to Chapter 4-2: Lurking Shadows, you'll gain access to Wounded Hollow. After completing Lurking Shadows, you'll meet an NPC called Cobb in Suja, Peaks of Accord.

Cobb will have an optional quest that involves hunting down two Hirabami. You'll face them together, so always focus on one to eliminate it. After killing both of them, return to Cobb, and he will reward you with the Powercharm.

How to get Armorcharm in Monster Hunter Wilds

Once you complete the optional quest from Cobb, another NPC called Rex will contact you at the exact location. Called As Gatekeeper, you'll have to hunt two Ajarakan at Wounded Hollow as part of the quest.

This is a tough fight (this monster tested me thoroughly in the main questline). Make sure to target one at first and keep them separated to boost your chances of success. Once you eliminate both, go back to Rex to get your Armorcharm.

After obtaining the items, go to your tent and move both objects to your inventory. The two items will boost your defense and offense by being in your inventory, which is an excellent set of buffs. While you'll need to make a fair bit of progress to get these items, both of them are essential for endgame builds.

Carmine Rosso and Rebel Oro skins

LEGO Fortnite underwent major changes since its inception, from the Odyssey name change to the launch of Grand Theft Auto-esque Brick Life. It'll get bigger and better with the March 2025 update, featuring a brand-new soccer stadium and crafting recipe.

Starting on March 11, Brick Life players can kick it on the soccer field, where they can take on the latest 90-second minigame. Score the most goals to win 1,000 Creds and a trophy to place in your home. Houses will also receive a new mailbox system allowing you to react to another player's designs for extra Creds. It'll be great for the Wishing Well challenge or if you want to become Brick Life's next millionaire.

In response to Brick Life's inventory limitation issues, earned or bought items will now be sent to your mailbox. No longer will you have to lose out on your precious rewards, previously inaccessible with an overloaded inventory. Plus, you don't have to go wee wee wee all the way home to get your valuables since they'll all be available via the public mailbox.

The spotlight will then shine on LEGO Fortnite Odyssey on March 25, introducing the new Recyler, Wall Mount change, and Storm King fixes. Any unwanted materials like Charms and weapons can be thrown into the Recyler, providing you with beneficial resources. You can also organize your materials better using Wall Mounts as a label, similar to Minecraft and Disney Dreamlight Valley's signs. I particularly look forward to this new feature in light of how messy my storage space can get.

There are a bunch of new attacks and movements to go around, including the upcoming sprint strike and jump changes. In the current patch, jump attacks have been pretty wonky with damage rates, but it'll be resolved with the March 25 update.

Like all LEGO Fortnite updates, March brings a new LEGO Pass, showcasing a Goldrush Gallery theme. Claim the two new outfits, Carmine Rosso and Rebel Oro, through a premium purchase. But if the new skins aren't really your style, you can anticipate the return of beloved bundles like Durr Burger, Beachy Boardwalk, and Mage's Favorites.

Even though the update has yet to come out, March is pretty jam-packed with goodies, and I can't wait to see what other new adventures arrive in the coming months.

an image of a player dropping in Verdansk in Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone had its fifth anniversary on March 10, 2025, and to celebrate the occasion, Activision will finally reintroduce the fan-favorite map, Verdansk.

It's time to mark the date on the calendar – Verdansk returns to Call of Duty: Warzone on April 3, 2025.

We will get to experience the original version of Verdansk, which came out in 2020. Yes, it will have all the fan-favorite hotdrop locations, including the TV Station, Military Base, Airport, Superstore, and more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX2LeqDlkBg

Verdansk was the first map in Warzone for many players, including me. Now that it's finally coming back, it will also bring a lot of memories from those early days of the game. As their post on X says, "It's time to revisit a place of unforgettable memories," things are about to get a lot more nostalgic for Warzone veterans.

This map will be a part of the Season 3 update, which also drops on the same date. So, at the time of writing, Verdansk is only 24 days away.

While the map is making a return, the gameplay mechanics from the original Warzone will not be coming back. It will stick to the mechanics from Black Ops 6. So, some things won't be the same as they used to be, it seems.

According to SteamCharts, Call of Duty has been facing a steady decline in the player count since December 2024. With the map coming back, hopefully, we hope to be able to see a rise in its player count.

EA FC 25 Dejan Kulusevski FUT Birthday card

The FUT Birthday Cup is now live in EA FC 25, and it offers everyone a chance to get Dejan Kulusevski's promo item for free of cost.

The cup is part of the ongoing FUT Birthday promo, and you can complete all the tasks to earn some amazing rewards. This list includes a set of fodder packs, and all of it can be obtained for free of cost.

EA FC 25 FUT Birthday Cup rewards and tasks

The FUT Birthday Cup has a total of five tasks, and Kulusevski is part of the group reward.

Task How to Complete Rewards
Win 2 Win 2 matches in the Live Ultimate Team Friendly: FUT Birthday Cup. 82+ x7 Rare Gold Players Pack
Assist 6 Assist 6 goals in the Live Ultimate Team Friendly: FUT Birthday Cup. 83+ x5 Rare Gold Players Pack
Play 6 Play 6 matches in the Live Ultimate Team Friendly: FUT Birthday Cup. 84+ x5 Rare Gold Players Pack
Play 10 Play 10 matches in the Live Ultimate Team Friendly: FUT Birthday Cup. 86+ x2 Rare Gold Players Pack
Win 12 Win 12 matches in the Live Ultimate Team Friendly: FUT Birthday Cup to earn a Trickster PlayStyle and +1 WF Upgrade. Applicable to player items 88 OVR Max. Trickster and Weak Foot Upgrade

For a free card, there's not much to complaint. The new 89-rated Kulusevski item could certainly have been better, as Relentless+ is practically useless on it. Additionally, he also lacks good Pace (87) and Shooting (86), both of which requires a boost. Like all FUT Birthday cards, he offers 5* Skills and 5* Weak Foot. But the card certainly could have had better stats and playstyles.

There are some terrific items currently available in Ultimate Team. Make sure to check out our guide to complete them with the fodder you have in your club.

GTA VI official artwork

As we all wait patiently in the GTA 6 waiting room, some players are coming up with wild theories that might sound good at first but are pretty easy to see through for more experienced fans.

GTA 6 is set to release in Fall 2025, meaning sometime between September 22 and December 21 with Rockstar's release history hinting at when preorders could go live.

With no official gameplay details yet, we have no idea what systems will be added, removed, or changed compared to GTA 5. That hasn't stopped players from dreaming up ideas while waiting for a second trailer or an official gameplay reveal.

The idea of a more "realistic" weapon system in GTA 6

An idea that has returned recently in the GTA 6 community is a more realistic approach to weapon inventory. Since the start, GTA has always let players carry multiple weapons without any visible storage—your character can hold a pistol, a minigun, and everything in between, switching between them instantly like a personal cloud armory.

Some players are now suggesting that GTA 6 should follow a system more like Red Dead Redemption 2, where characters can only carry a limited number of weapons at a time—maybe a pistol and one or two larger weapons, plus an explosive if they have a backpack. Other weapons would need to be stored in a truck or car trunk. If a player needed to switch weapons mid-mission, they'd have to physically go back to their car, swap guns, and then continue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GTA6/comments/1j825pm/comment/mh1nl61/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

While that might sound appealing to fans of more realistic gameplay—especially as many recent games lean toward realism—it would obviously be one of the worst possible ideas for online gameplay, assuming GTA 6 continues the online experience.

Why a realistic inventory could ruin GTA 6 online

Imagine this realistic inventory, and that you've stored your best weapons in your car, and another player comes along and blows it up. Now, you're stuck with whatever weapons you were holding, and everything else is gone.

Of course, one way to fix this would be if GTA 6 automatically restores a player's weapons when they retrieve their car from insurance. But even then, it would completely change how GTA Online is played. It would likely lead to players going around the map blowing up cars just to troll others and leave them empty-handed for a while.

Personally, I don't like this idea because part of GTA's magic is its exaggerated realism. The fun of the series comes from the chaos—massive explosions, running over cars with trucks, and switching weapons on the go without worrying about how big they are. Adding this kind of realism would be a huge change, and I doubt many fans would welcome it. I wouldn't.

While this is just a wild suggestion from some fans looking for something different, it's unclear whether Rockstar will make major changes to core gameplay features. We'll likely have to wait for a second trailer, a gameplay reveal, or another major update as we get closer to GTA 6's Fall 2025 release window.

Guardian Ebony Armor in MH Wilds

The Guardian Ebony Plates come up frequently for several weapon and armor recipes. We're here to show you how to farm this material in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Where to find Guardian Ebony Plates in MH Wilds

You can get Guardian Ebony Plates through the following methods:

  • Participate in Optional Quests
  • Battle the Guardian Ebony Odogaron in the Ruins of Wyveria
  • Trade with Ren in Sild or the Village Intermediary

Sometimes, you can find the Guardian Ebony Odogaron while in the wilds. Check your Environment Overview while in the Ruins of Wyveria to see if the creature is lingering about. If you've reached the endgame and can no longer access this area, ensure to progress through the endgame to return to Wyveria once more. However, since the Guardian Ebony Odogaron spawn rate can be chancy, you can opt for the Optional Quests or Item Trades instead.

All quests with Guardian Ebony Plate drops in MH Wilds

You'll encounter the Guardian Ebony Odogaron during the main campaign, starting with a Low-Rank quest. All you need to do is hunt down the beast, and you may gain the Guardian Ebony Plate as a Quest Reward. Here's a list of missions that have Guardian Ebony Plates:

  • Red Eyes in the Night
  • White Walls
  • Purrfect Plundering
  • The Struggle to Survive

If you want more of a challenge, you can progress to Monster Hunter Wilds' postgame and face off against this enemy in the High-Rank quests.

How to get Guardian Ebony Plates through Item Trades

To avoid a battle altogether, you can use Item Trades to exchange goods for the Guardian Ebony Plates. Speak to Ren in Wyveria or Nata at the Base Camp to see if they have these particular plates available. You can also use the Farm, also known as Material Retrieval, to gain valuables for these trades.

Keep in mind that the Guardian Ebony Plates don't always show up, as the Item Trades inventory changes daily. If you don't see it, you can rest until the following day to hopefully trigger its appearance.

All Guardian Ebony Odogaron weaknesses

Eliminate the Guardian Ebony Odogaron quickly using these weaknesses and advantages:

  • Weakest Points: Tail and Foreleg
  • Recommended Elemental Attack: Water
  • Effective Status Effects:

    • Poison: Moderately effective
    • Sleep: Moderately effective
    • Paralysis: Highly effective
    • Blastblight: Moderately effective
    • Stun: Moderately effective

  • Effective Items:

    • Flash Pod
    • Shock Trap
    • Pitfall Trap

The Guardian Ebony Odogaron is relatively weak to all traps except for the Sonic Bomb. You should also avoid using the Exhaust Status Effect, considering that it won't damage this beast much. Use Paralysis attacks instead to immobilize this monster.

Apart from its weak points in the tail and foreleg, you can break its tail tip, head, and hind legs. That way, you'll increase the chances of a Guardian Ebony Plate drop in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Xbox logo for server status page

According to a report by Windows Central, Xbox appears to be targeting a 2027 release date for the successor to the Xbox Series X|S. Alongside the new "premium successor", Xbox also plans to launch its own Xbox gaming handheld as well as several new controller options.

Time sure flies when you're having fun, but here's a friendly reminder that the Xbox Series X|S will turn 5 later this year. Historically, console generations have lasted 5-7 years, although Sony has said before that they expect the PlayStation 5 to last a decade or more.

In the report, Xbox plans to continue releasing console-exclusive games onto other platforms, like the PlayStation, while still servicing its own Xbox audience with new hardware in the coming months and years. This starts with a codename "Keenan", an apparent PC gaming handheld being developed by a third-party OEM but will be very much Xbox-branded both in name and design. Think similar to the ASUS ROG Ally but running on Windows OS with full Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass support. The handheld device is expected to release later in 2025.

As for the new console, Windows Central indicates that the next-gen systems will be closer to Windows than ever before, with the goal of streamlining the process for devs to port them from PC. Despite the change in dev philosophy, the new consoles will also support backwards compatibility with legacy Xbox games, which has recently become a bigger focus at Xbox.

The new controllers being designed in tandem with the new console and handheld will also have direct-to-cloud connectivity, allowing players to easily swap between different devices using their controller, helping make the Xbox/PC ecosystem even more aligned and streamlined for players.

It's still too early to know the exact specs and pricing of all this new hardware, but with the handheld reportedly coming later this year, I imagine we'll be hearing some official news about it in the very near future.
