Assassin's Creed's present day Abstergo storyline started out very well in the first game, shrouded in complete mystery and cautiously and deliberately moving forward step by step, grabbing the interest of those who paid the earlier games with attention. For a few instalments, that continued, as the story continued to ramp up. However, after it reached a tipping point at the end of Assassin's Creed 3, it just sort of… stopped.
