Blizzard responds to Diablo Immortal bug stopping purchases

Blizzard confirms that a Diablo Immortal bug affecting the fantasy game's in-game store has led to some purchases not processing correctly, meaning that players were not receiving items after buying Diablo Immortal microtransactions in a small number of cases. The team says that a hotfix has been deployed to prevent the issue from occurring in future, and that affected players will now have their items delivered in the ARPG game.

A number of players have recently reported an issue where purchases of Diablo Immortal Eternal Orbs were not being correctly delivered in-game. One player on the Diablo Immortal subreddit highlighted this issue in a post, saying, "I've made many purchases of 7,200 Eternal Orbs with all the transactions successful," referring to the most expensive bundle on offer (priced at $99.99 USD / £89.99 GBP). The player even notes that "I purchased the legitimate kind at $99.99 each," in a cheeky nod to a recent clampdown that saw Diablo Immortal whales punished for purchasing cheap orbs through third-party sellers.

The player then explains that a purchase made through the Google Play store "went through successfully for $99.99, but did not get delivered in-game. When you try to repurchase the orbs it says that the item is already owned and displays an error message." Several other players echoed this issue, saying they had run into a similar problem.

Summer is ebbing away, and I hate how it goes. I already miss long evenings, with sunset now before 8pm but sunrise still pointlessly at like 6:30? No thanks. I don't miss those 5am sunrises either. So we can surely all agree that the sensible course of action would be to lock sunrise to 7:30am and rotate the whole clock around that. Anyway! What are you playing this weekend? Here's what we're clicking on.

fate/grand order shin-yamataikoku

Lasengle has hinted at a new upcoming Gudaguda event for the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order. The event's name is "Overwhelming Tea Ceremony Battle: Gudaguda Shin Yamataikoku - The Man Who Returned from Hell -." It will debut in-game from mid-September 2022. [Thanks, Gamer!]

So far, there is very limited information on the new Gudaguda event. Gudaguda Servants such as Nobunaga, Ryoma, and Okita will receive bonuses. These bonuses will allow them to deal more damage, as well as gain more bond points per battle. More information will appear during the Gudaguda Shin Yamataikoku Chaldea broadcast. It will air on September 14, 2022 from 19:00 JST, which is 3:00 AM PST/6:00 AM EST.

Check out a teaser for the broadcast below.

The Shin Yamatai-koku event will be a continuation of the one that originally came out on the Japanese server in 2020. Coincidentally enough, the North American server will debut the localized version of the Yamataikoku event from September 14, 2022. This event will introduce new Servants Himiko (Ruler) and Saito Hajime (Saber).

In order to access the Shin Yamataikoku event, Masters will need to have first completed Lostbelt No. 4. It is unknown if there will be a free Servant to obtain from this event. Finishing the story for the first one did not garner players a new addition to their roster. Instead, the first Yamataikoku event placed Nobukatsu in the free summoning banner for a limited time.

The Overwhelming Tea Ceremony Battle: Gudaguda Shin Yamataikoku event will debut in mid-September 2022 on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order. More information will appear on September 14, 2022. Fate/Grand Order is available on mobile devices.

splatoon 3 save data

Nintendo has released a public warning of sorts in regards to transferring save data to Splatoon 3, which went on sale on September 9th. A single Nintendo account can only transfer save data once. Another thing to keep in mind that during the transfer process, if you choose 'cancel' at the confirmation screen, you will never be able to transfer it again. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Even if you try to delete your save data and create a new one, you cannot try again. Because each Nintendo account only has a single attempt, you must transfer it when you get to the confirmation screen. The save data screen will appear as soon as you start up Splatoon 3 so that is when you must move things over.

If you played Splatoon 2 on the same Switch console with the same user data, you can get bonuses when you start Splatoon 3. You will automatically get three "Gold Sheldon Licenses" redeemable for main weapons, as well as gain access to Anarchy Battles. These bonuses mainly allow Splatoon 2 veterans to get right into the fray. As well, depending on their rank in Splatoon 2, they will be able to match with players of an appropriate skill level from earlier. All players will naturally be able to obtain these weapons and play Anarchy Battles through playing the game normally, though.

Splatoon 3 is available on the Nintendo Switch.
