There are so many isekai manga and manhwa that involve an ordinary woman being reincarnated as a villainess of a series she is aware of, and Yen Press' Kill the Villainess is the latest one. However, there's a stark difference here, at least at the outset. Here, the heroine Eris doesn't want this new life and doesn't want to reform. Rather, she wants to do anything necessary to potentially end her time in this other world, which involves an interesting approach to embracing her role.
Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for the first volume of Kill the Villainess.
Eris Miserian's new life starts with her living a life in a palace as a fiance to a prince. It's one pulling from a romance novel she read, naturally. But she despises it. She considers this idealized world filled with royalty and magic to be too foreign and terrifying to her, and she wants out. She's about to be betrothed, but she wants to speedrun being eliminated. This means she's willing to do whatever is necessary to get herself killed so she can return to the type of life she preferred.
![]()
Now, Eris is aware of the plot since Kill the Villainess is similar to other isekai manga and manhwa. She knows she will eventually die. Her beloved Prince Alecto falls for the real heroine of the novel named Helena. The villainess originally went mad as a result and poisoned her rival. This led to her own execution and Helena's revival so she could have her happily ever after. But Eris wants that to happen sooner. And because of that, she's forgoing the jealous and bullying behavior the original character displayed toward Helena. Because she's exhausted! She doesn't want to be there! She wants to get out of everything as efficiently as possible.
One thing that's fascinating about this is that this Eris, that we follow, has sympathy for the original villainess from the story. That Eris was a childhood friend of both the crown prince and people like the noble Jason Kazaar and Helena. However, they don't extend any friendliness or care to her. As our heroine thinks when dealing with an awkward situation that also includes Helena, people consider her a "nuisance" and the real Eris would have been probably hurt by that behavior.
Also, throughout the first volume we learn about Eris' endeavors to get out of the story sooner. She actually goes through some of her suicide attempts, which seemed magically thwarted to keep the story on track. The story won't be sidetracked. This means she actually turns to something she is uncomfortable with — magic — to try and finally be free. Another method might mean actually turning to someone who'd be one of Eris' enemies in the story to possibly be set free.
Fascinatingly enough, it also means we get insights into Eris' past and that of other characters because of our "Eris" being an outsider. We learn more about Jason's quest to become a dragon slayer. A character who wasn't in the original novel appears. We see some insights from Eris' maid and father that flesh out who the original villainess was. It shows a little more depth than other villainess isekai manga and manhwa series.
There are so many villainess isekai series out there, but Kill the Villainess does feel a bit different than others due to the heroine's demeanor. She isn't happy to be there. She wants out. She sympathizes with the original villainess. Plus, there are hints that maybe she could go back and others could see something is going on. The first volume shows promise of a series that could be a unique take on the genre in some ways.
Volume 1 of Kill the Villainess will debut on February 18, 2025, and volume 2 of the manhwa will launch on May 20, 2025.

One of the best parts of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is how it greatly expanded upon the friendship and romance system from the original FFVII. In the original PS1 JRPG, players could complete certain actions to allow them to "romance" party members like Aerith, Tifa, and Barret in the Gold Saucer. This bonds feature needs to return in FFVII Remake Part 3 and be even better.
How the friendship system worked in Rebirth was players could complete certain quests and make choices that would raise your bond with various party members. If you could reach a certain level of friendship, you would be able to check out exclusive scenes in the Gold Saucer with that particular person. And if you maxed out that friendship, you could even see more special versions of those date scenes, including some surprisingly romantic ones.
![]()
While I really appreciated these scenes, there were some quirks about them that I wasn't a fan of. For one, you can only go on a date at the Gold Saucer with one person in your playthrough. Sure, that does allow you to stake your claim in the eternal waifu war of Aerith vs. Tifa, but it prevents you from seeing moments with others like Red XIII and Barret.
To Rebirth's credit, it does alleviate this issue in New Game+. Once you beat the main story, you can do chapter select. This allows you to see all of the date scenes with every character. It is a shame, though, that you have to complete the game to be able to enjoy this. With Part 3 in this trilogy, it doesn't have the shackles of the original to hold it back.
Since the Gold Saucer is now behind the party, the bonds system can return in a grander way. For this, I look to how other JRPGs like Persona 5 handle party member friendships. In those games, you are able to build your friendship with each character independently of one another. For instance, you might have rank 3 bond with Barret and rank 4 with Aerith.
The important part of this is your bond scenes aren't tied to certain story beats. Instead, reaching level 5 friendship with Tifa might allow you to see an optional scene. This doesn't prevent you from doing the same once you reach rank 5 with Yuffie. These scenes are all available so long as you take the time to raise your friendship levels.
![]()
This way, you won't have to rely on NG+ or anything like that. You can just seek out side quests and other content that raise your friendship levels as you go. It feels like a more complete system and it would be fitting, too, for this grand finale. There could be the option to learn more about the backstory of characters like Vincent Valentine in the process.
You could even help the characters to learn to move past certain issues as well. For example, you could help Tifa move further past the trauma of losing family and her town. However, this doesn't mean you miss out on those more "exclusive" parts that were in Rebirth's Gold Saucer.
Like Persona, I would like to see the bonds system in FFVII Remake Part 3 to have optional romance as well. Perhaps you could deepen your bond enough to make choices to romance someone like Tifa if you want or just keep a platonic friendship. This would still allow players to have some sort of agency in determining how Cloud's story goes.
The point of the FFVII Remake Part 3 friendship and romance system should be much more flexible and free. It should allow you to get to know the party members like Cait Sith and Cid on a deeper level without the restrictions featured in Rebirth. This would be the best way to cap off this wonderful Remake trilogy in a special and meaningful way.
Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth are available right now for PS5 and PC.

Even after all these decades, J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth remains one of the most expansive fictional worlds ever created, and the story of The Lord of the Rings holds up as a cornerstone of literary expression in the speculative genre.
From the lush landscape of Eriador in The Fellowship of the Ring, where the Ring-bearer originally sets out towards the Mountain of Fire, to the rolling hills of Beleriand where the Elves of the First Age contended with Morgoth the Black Foe and spun many tales of tragedy and triumph into existence, here are J.R.R. Tolkien's best Lord of the Rings and Middle-earth books, ranked.
![]()
10. The Fall of Númenor
One of the latest books to be posthumously published by the Tolkien Estate, The Fall of Númenor expands on the story already outlined in The Silmarillion of how the greatest kingdom of men succumbed to Sauron's evil machinations and destroyed itself from the inside.
At the beginning of the Second Age, the Valar granted the men of Middle Earth a heavenly island kingdom to live and flourish in as a reward for their assistance in the war against Morgoth, the Black Foe of the World. These were the Númenóreans, blessed with long life and great strength, from whom the line of Elendil survived into the Third Age and established the twin kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor. During the first centuries of their reign, the Numenoreans flourished under the wisdom of the Valar, protecting Middle-earth from the horrors that remained of the dark days of Morgoth's reign. And when they weren't doing that, the Númenóreans looked toward the West, beyond the sea, and wondered deep in their hearts if the gift of immortality and the light of Valinor would ever be theirs to cherish.
This was the weakness that Sauron the Deceiver exploited to bring about the fall of Numenor. Sauron was taken captive during the Second Age and brought into the Island Kingdom, where he dribbled poison into the ears of its kings, slowly twisting their minds towards the worship of Morgoth, his evil master. At first glance, The Fall of Númenor might come off as just another story that Tolkien wrote to expand on his mythology, but the most haunting thing about reading this book is the realization that we humans have a lot more in common with Númenóreans these days than we realize.
![]()
9. Unfinished Tales
Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth, or simply Unfinished Tales as it is more commonly known, comprises a collection of short stories and essays that Tolkien never got to polish during his lifetime. The stories center around Middle-earth and expand on the mythology already outlined in The Silmarillion, but unlike that book, Unfinished Tales can sometimes be inconsistent and incomplete, as Tolkien's son Christopher opted to publish the notes and essays as they were, with little to no modification except for character names.
The first part contains the story of Tuor and his arrival at the hidden city of Gondolin, as well as The Tale of the Children of Húrin, explaining how the curse of Morgoth dogged Túrin Turambar's footsteps through his tragic life. The book then launches into an account of Númenor and an extensive chronicle of all its kings. Lastly, we review certain tales from the Third Age, like how Isildur was killed in the River Anduin and the Ring of Power was lost, or what Gandalf did during the Quest for Erebor from his point of view. There's also another detailed account of how the Black Riders searched for the Ring in Eriador after Sauron released Gollum.
Unfinished Tales is a book for diehard Tolkien enthusiasts who would consume any bit of trivia that came their way. Together, Unfinished Tales and the 12-part History of Middle-earth give fans exactly what they need to fill in the gaps and become one of the Lambengolmor, who were the ancient loremasters of elves.

8. The Fall of Gondolin
One of the first stories that Tolkien ever wrote while fighting in the trenches of the Somme was the story of the fall of Gondobin, the hidden city of Elves that Morgoth burned to the ground through treachery and deceit, cementing his total victory over the Noldor in Middle-earth and perhaps even setting certain characters on a path that would spell his own ultimate doom.
The Silmarillion is undoubtedly one of the best books that Tolkien ever wrote, but the sheer scale of some of the stories that defined those early years makes it difficult for people to wrap their heads around how certain events came to pass. That is not to say The Silmarillion is inadequate in conveying those narratives, but the release of books like The Fall of Gondolin has given us fans a much more comprehensive look into the tales that mattered the most to Tolkien himself in his legendarium. This 2018 publication was the last book from Tolkien's three Great Tales to be published separately, the other two being 2007's The Children of Húrin and 2017's Beren and Lúthien.
![]()
7. Beren and Lúthien
The second independent retelling of the Great Tales takes us to the first age again, to a time when the Men and Elves of Middle-earth contended with the Black Foe and survived, quite literally, through unnumbered tears of sorrow and unimaginable death and destruction.
Amidst this chaos and bloodshed, there lived a mortal man named Beren, son of Barahir, who fought against the shadow of Angband to the north. After the deaths of his father and fellow guerilla fighters, Beren makes his way to the hidden, impregnable kingdom of Doriath under the rule of King Thingol. There, he meets Lúthien, the most beautiful of all of the children of the god Eru Ilúvatar, and immediately falls in love with her. Beren is doomed to live the waning life of the Atani, while Lúthien is immortal.
Their tales of woe as they travel together to the very court of Morgoth and wrest from him one of the Silmarils as Lúthien's bride price and the subsequent tragedies that befall them in their wanderings comprises most of Beren and Lúthien, though the chief difference between the tale told in The Silmarillion and the one you find in this book is that there are several versions and retellings of the same tale in the latter for those keen to know how the story evolved in Tolkien's mind.
![]()
6. The Hobbit
Fun, whimsical, and perhaps a little absurd. After living with this story for the better part of two decades, these are the only words with which I could describe The Hobbit and its mountainous legacy in shaping speculative fiction.
In a lot of ways, it was The Hobbit's success in 1937 that spurred Tolkien and his publishers to attempt a sequel, which would eventually be released as The Lord of the Rings in 1954. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit as a bedtime story for his children, and even the simple and humorous prose, so at odds with the stark, lyrical poetry of The Lord of the Rings, reflects the headspace of those humble beginnings.
The Hobbit remains one of the best-selling books of all time, and even after all these years, I still recommend it to people who want to get their kids into reading or are even looking for a light read themselves. If The Lord of the Rings was the birthplace of high fantasy as a genre in the speculative domain, then The Hobbit was, as Gandalf would say, "the falling of small stones that starts an avalanche in the mountains."
![]()
5. The Two Towers
The second book in The Lord of the Rings takes the foundations already established in The Fellowship and weaves together a perfect middle act for our characters to get their bearings and embark on that last leg of the journey. From the three hunters roaming the ridden vales of Rohan to Frodo and Sam slowly making their meandering way to the land of Shadow, The Two Towers is full of memorable moments like the meeting with Faramir or the Battle of Hornburg.
While The Two Towers is my least favorite Lord of the Rings volume (unlike the movie, which is my favorite in Jackson's trilogy), it nonetheless contains my favorite chapters in the entire work, namely when Frodo and Sam climb the stairs and enter Shelob's lair, with the former being taken away by Orcs and Samwise Gamgee — brave, brilliant, amazing Sam — deciding to rescue his master and the book ending with this somber yet electrifying sentence: "Frodo was alive but taken by the Enemy."
![]()
4. The Children of Húrin
The Children of Húrin is the first of the three Great Tales to receive its own outing. Not only that, but this 2007 novel is actually a continuous narrative, unlike the other two books. Out of all of Tolkien's writings, Narn i Chîn Húrin remained the most complete, and so it almost feels like a natural addition to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The story revolves around the most tragic hero in Tolkien's legendarium, Túrin Turambar.
Húrin Thalion, a great chieftain of men, had visited the city of Gondolin and befriended its king, Turgon. Years later, during the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, the Battle of Unnumbered Tears, Húrin came to Turgon's aid and covered his escape, getting captured in the process. Morgoth tortured Húrin to gain knowledge of Gondolin's location, but Húrin would not yield to the dark lord, causing him to curse Húrin and all his offspring. Morgoth then bound Húrin atop his mountain fortress and used sorcery to grant Húrin sight of all that would befall his kin. And so began the tragedy of the Children of Húrin, named Túrin and Nienor.
The former became a warrior of great renown, but his deeds often resulted in disaster for himself and those near him. Túrin is ultimately reunited with his sister Nienor, but ignorant of her real identity, he falls in love and marries her. The two kill themselves after learning the truth, Nienor by jumping into the river Taeglin and Túrin by falling on his black sword, Gurthang. Reading The Children of Húrin makes you grateful for the fact that Tolkien decided to go down a much more gentle and nuanced path with The Lord of the Rings because the tragedy of some of the stories that precede it is almost unpalatable.

3. The Return of the King
The Captains of the West are preparing for their final confrontation with Sauron's armies: To fight a battle before the walls of the White City that will decide the fate of Middle-earth for ages to come. Frodo and Sam are pushing on toward Mount Doom despite the increasingly heavy burden they carry, and the gloom of the land of Shadow has almost wholly sapped their strength of body and will.
The Return of the King is the culmination of one of the greatest stories ever told. We get to experience Tolkien's "Eucatastrophe" in earnest, learning that though "in all lands, love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater." Even the best-written, most carefully constructed tale will unravel if its author cannot pull off a satisfying ending, but Professor Tolkien, a true maestro of language and mythology, showed every author that would succeed him how it's done by giving us the perfect ending to his trilogy, and his legendarium.

2. The Fellowship of the Ring
Among newer generations, I've often found that there rarely is a middle ground when it comes to The Fellowship of the Ring, it being the first volume in The Lord of the Rings. Younger readers will either love this story and understand the kind of angle Tolkien was aiming for, or they will find that the plot moves too slowly for their liking. Maybe it's the over-descriptive language, not even bothering to hide Tolkien's love for nature and every tree, bough, and shade in it. Perhaps they don't know anything about the story and are put off by the ambiguous atmosphere of those first few chapters. Maybe it's all of it; the sheer scale of a fictional world thrust into your lap.
If you find yourself among the latter, then there's probably nothing I could write to sway your opinion, but if you are in the ranks of the former, then you understand why this book is one of the most magical books you could come across in your life. Sure, The Two Towers is contemplative. Granted, The Return of the King is epic and full of action. But The Fellowship of the Ring is, in one word, magical, even if that couldn't even begin to capture its essence. Mistifying, fantastical, and unabashed. Poetic, unruly, and insightful. I could go on and on.
I still remember the feeling of being utterly entranced by the depiction of Lothlórien, the fairest of the Elven havens remaining in Middle-earth when the Fellowship set foot in it. Even more so than Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring. And isn't it a testament to the power of an author's voice and prose that even one of the most acclaimed masterpieces in cinema history can't quite capture the magic found in his intricate words?

1. The Silmarillion
Narrative-wise, I might have given this first spot to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, but that would be to undersell J.R.R. Tolkien's crowning achievement, the magnum opus that defines him as one of the greats. The Silmarillion is a work that not many people will understand at first, but the captivating story of creation found therein is unlike anything we've seen before. Many authors pride themselves in the ability to create an immersive world and give it intricate details, but at the end of the day, those details, that history, are there to serve the plot. For Tolkien, the fictional world was an end in itself, and that's why, when it comes to worldbuilding, few other fantasy worlds, if any, have managed to rival Middle-earth and the larger Arda even after all these decades.
The Silmarillion details how the world was spun into being by the supreme Eru Ilúvatar, how the discordant angel Melkor and his jarring countermelody pushed back against the work of his brethren, and how these beatific creatures fought in Arda many thousands of years before the Elves and Men and Dwarves ever set foot on it. It then tells the story of Elves in full, how they woke up under the light of the stars, how they made the long journey to Valinor, and how the treachery of Melkor pushed them towards ruin. It tells the story of the Silmarils, prized jewels that left only suffering in their wake. And it tells of the fall of the hidden city, and Beren and Luthien, and the children of Hurin.
The Silmarillion contains in itself the greatest fictional world ever created, and I doubt that any writer or their creation could hope to come close to matching its sheer scale any time soon.

The Legacy Collection of The Sims is finally here, and with it, you're free to enjoy the game that started it all. The very first Sims is filled with hijinks, love, and life, and it's all ready for you to explore.
However, enough time has gone by that you may have forgotten just how difficult the first entry in the franchise is. Just keeping your Sims alive and happy is a challenge, let alone having them accomplish anything. That's what mods are for, along with the best cheats, and we're here to show you the best ones that you can use in 2025.
The best mods for The Sims 1 in 2025
Leisure Plant
Keeping your Sims motives up in the first game is hard. Much harder than in any other game in the series. That's not even factoring in leaving your home lot, which has no guarantee of the objects you need to keep your Sims happy.
That's why the Leisure Plant is so necessary. Place it on any lot, including community lots, and all motives except for Fun, Social, and Hunger will be maximized for you. You can instead focus on having fun and making friends.
Buyable Baby
![]()
Having a baby in the first Sims is complicated. Instead of being able to try for one, you must wait for the prompt to show up, which can take forever. There's not even a specific interaction to trigger it. That's why the Buyable Baby mod is here.
Now, instead of waiting, your Sims can have a baby whenever they want. You even get to choose the skin tone and sex of the baby. No more waiting for that elusive prompt to get your story going.
Obsessed Fan Alarm
I don't care what anyone says. I still think fame was most fun when you were famous in the first Sims. There was something so glamorous about it, and you even got to choose from being an actor, model, or singer. The only not-great part was the obsessed fan.
This stalker will show up everywhere your Sim does, fawning over them, stealing their trophies, and leaving odd gifts. So, the Obsessed Fan Alarm object is a must-have if you want to keep him at bay. Simply place it on your home lot, and he won't bug you anymore.
Work From Home Computer
Perhaps the only good thing to come out of 2020 was the increased work-from-home options. Now, with the Work From Home Computer mod, your Sims can enjoy this leisure in-game, just like you.
Place the computer on your lot, and instead of leaving in that ugly carpool, your Sim can complete all of their work for their home lot instead. Now, your Sim won't disappear into a rabbit hole for all hours of the day.
Improved Genie Lamp
![]()
The Genie Lamp is one of the most frustrating objects in the game. Sure, it can reward you with riches, love, or expensive gifts, but more often than not, it just ends up burning your house down. And you're limited to how many times you can ask him to grant your wish.
With the Improved Genie Lamp, not only do your odds of success with the NPC increase from 40% to 50%, but you're able to attempt whenever you want. You can spend all day testing your luck with the genie and maybe be rewarded big time.
Bunk Beds
When you have limited space in your home, bunk beds are a lifesaver. It's too bad they weren't introduced to The Sims until later games. But, with the Bunk Beds mod, you can enjoy them in the Legacy Collection.
Simply place a bunk bed or loft bed, and your Sims will be able to claim the top bunk. With loft beds, you can even place objects underneath them to save on more space.
Vampires
The supernatural in The Sims is pretty limited, as the life states featured in later games hadn't been added in. Sure, you can cast spells and become a witch, but other than that, you're pretty limited.
The Vampires mod, or the Elixir of Eternity, lets you Sim join the army of the undead and become a vampire. You're able to sleep in coffins, bite other Sims, and more. How spooky.
Personality Bookcase
![]()
Personality is pretty rigid when you're playing the first game, but luckily, the Personality Bookcase mod gives you the freedom to change your Sim to suit your needs. With this bookcase, your Sim can study certain interests and personality traits to gain points in them.
Not only that, but the bookcase can also remove points from certain traits you don't want anymore. Is your Sim getting less neat over time? Simply remove the neatness points for them. It's as easy as that.
Working Calendar
When left to the base game, The Sims doesn't actually feature any sort of calendar. Instead, your Sims will simply go to work every single day without fail. Not only does this make the game substantially harder, but it's also not very realistic.
That's where the Working Calendar mod comes in. Days are now counted, and every few days, your Sims can enjoy the weekend and, eventually, a holiday. You can finally take a break from the grind.
Super Sculpture
![]()
The Super Sculpture object is the magnum opus of Sims 1 mods. Sadly, the first game doesn't include any testing cheats like later games that allow you to instantly max relationships, skills, and motives. That's why you need the Super Sculpture.
By placing this object anywhere on your lot, simply click on it, and you'll have a plethora of options to choose from to modify your game. Make Sims fall in love, reset their motives so they're happy, and improve their skills. If you only pick up one mod from this list, it should be this one.

Unlocking the option to play with other humans (multiplayer) increases the scope of Civilization 7 by a massive margin, as it allows you to test your wits and strategization powers to the fullest.
While the AI can prove to be a stern test, it can feel repetitive after a while. Thankfully, Civilization 7 fully supports multiplayer, as you can play with your friends to find out who's the best. In fact, the presence of online play also raises the scope for playing with strangers over the internet or organizing local events.
How to setup multiplayer in Civilization 7
To play online, you'll have to open a 2K account. This step is free, but it's mandatory for any online session. If you already have an account, just log in.
Once you're signed into your 2K account, you'll be able to join a lobby and participate in the game present on it. Alternatively, you can even create your own lobby and invite your friends/other players to participate. Civilization 7 offers you full control over your lobby, as you can tweak the basic rules, decide on the starting age, and more.
You can also enjoy an offline multiplayer mode, which works via a functioning LAN network. This is suitable if you and your friends are present at the same location and have multiple devices. It's a great alternative to the online system. If you're on a console, you'll need an applicable subscription to host/participate in the online sessions.
Does Civilization 7 have hot seat multiplayer?
As of the early access, there is no hot seat multiplayer function. Having the feature is perfect if you're looking to introduce the game to your friends, as they can play on the same device. There's always a chance for the feature to be introduced later as part of a future update.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a cozy life simulation game that revolves around building relationships with adorable characters. One of the key aspects of the game is gifting, as it lets you increase your Friendship levels. Here's the best gift for each character in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
Table of contents
How does gifting work in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
Before we delve into the specific gifts for each character, it's important to understand how gifts work in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Gifts are categorized based on the amount of Friendship Level Up Experience (FLUX) they provide. There are three categories of gifts:
How often can you give gifts in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
![]()
Hello Kitty Island Adventures has a maximum limit of three gifts per day. However, you can go beyond this limit by giving the character one of two items:
You can earn these Friendship flowers by completing Collections, including Clothing, Potions, and Food. It's also possible to receive them as a reward, from daily quests to story missions. Unfortunately, the flowers don't show up too often, as it will require a lot of playtime to unlock. Otherwise, you can check back daily and provide gifts to the characters bit by bit.
Now that we have a clear understanding of the gift categories and how often you can give gifts to each character let's explore the best gifts for each character in Hello Kitty Island Adventure and what you get for leveling up with each character.

Downloadable content such as Shadow Of The Erdtree or The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine prove to be good or even better than the already excellent title they came out of. It feels too bad that we have to contend with dozens of vile ones for each fantastic piece of DLC.
Let's look at some of the nastiest, meanest, and sometimes just the most hilariously bad DLC companies had the sheer audacity to ask money for.
![]()
Oblivion's Horse Armor DLC
The origins of many terrible things from real life will forever remain a mystery to the greater public. When it comes to the microtransaction-filled video game hellscape of nowadays, however, we can pinpoint the exact time and place in history when the future human resistance failed to send a Terminator to.
Back in 2005, Microsoft asked a bunch of studios if they'd like to begin introducing this totally harmless thing called "microtransactions" in their games, and only Bethesda refrained from hitting them with a big "No f*n way." The result was a piece of DLC from 2006 that, for a very experimental $2,5, would give Oblivion players a set of armor. To make matters worse, this armor set added nothing but a different look for the horse — one that nobody else could see, given Oblivion's single-player nature. Worse, it didn't even look good for the one person who could see it. Like, why are the horse's golden hairs going against the wind? It makes zero sense.
Everyone lambasted the idea back in the day — and we still do — but it has mostly become the norm. While it's true that most single-player games don't feature dumb cosmetics you can buy with real money, the idea of paying for unnecessary stuff sure did take hold of the industry. Hell, good luck even finding any piece of cosmetic DLC — even something uglier than that — for as low as $2.50 nowadays.
![]()
The Saboteur's DLC capitalizes on players' kinks
The Saboteur is a fantastic title that deserved way more attention than it got — so long as you ignore the existence of its pretty tasteless DLC. The Midnight Show DLC teases an entire nightclub filled with all sorts of debauchery. Ok, but this isn't a GTA clone where this kind of activity would be fitting. This is a game about sabotaging the plans of Nazis, so if you find this strange, it's because it totally is. This DLC's real reason for existing is that it allows players to have nudity in the game, and making it about a nightclub seemingly made it thematically appropriate to have players pay extra cash to get in.
This DLC managed to both the prudes and the people who are totally ok with lewd stuff in games, so long as they don't have to pay extra for that hot coffee.
![]()
Destiny 2's DLCs
This is less about the content of a specific DLC and more about the idea behind Destiny 2's DLCs. I began playing Destiny 2 after the release of Forsaken and got pretty disappointed that a lot of the stuff I needed to experience to understand the plot of the game — stuff you'd previously been able to play with no problem — had been locked behind the DLC's paywall. On top of this move being highly uninviting for new players, it feels like a betrayal towards existing members of the community who might've wanted to replay some classic mission and still hadn't had the opportunity to get the new stuff.
![]()
Asura's Wrath True Ending DLC
What sucks about many of these DLCs is how they exist in otherwise fantastic and original titles. Asura's Wrath is a blast — a completely unique experience from start to finish — but it's too bad one that ends on a note that's original only for the worst possible reason.
Completing the base campaign in Asura's Wrath will get you to watch an ending, but not the true final ending of the game. If you wanted to learn the ending of the story you'd already paid full price for back in 2012, you'd have to pay extra. Pretty nasty — and dumb, as YouTube had already been a thing for a while back then.
I understand how it must've been hard to market such a unique and ever-changing title, but this is definitely not it.
![]()
Dragon Age: Origins' has a living billboard advertising its DLC
When playing the original Dragon Age: Origins without having the DLC installed, you could come across an NPC in your camp who'd break any semblance of immersion by breaking up mid-dialogue to tell you to buy the DLC.
What kind of witchery was this? Did a vile witch curse an innocent to roam the land, pestering everyone to buy this DLC? Well, no, it's even worse, given how the devs created life seemingly just for that purpose.
Say what you will about The Veilguard, but at least that game doesn't feature people-shaped billboards.
![]()
The Last Of Us Part 2 shows money is important even during the zombie apocalypse
The Last Of Us 2 has received its fair and unfair share of criticism, but I didn't see many people complaining about its whack pre-order bonus. Yeah, while you can only argue The Last Of Us Part 2 proves a weirdly punishing experience for everyone, you can definitely say Naughty Dog got really weird with whom it favored by the game's launch.
If you were to pre-order the game, you'd get both a crafting manual as well as a weapon mod that would increase your pistol's ammo capacity by two rounds. Good thing the pay-to-survive model never took off.
![]()
Train Simulator has the most ridiculously expensive DLC in history
This game has one hell of a lot of stuff you can buy, like new locomotives, carts, and railways. Content is great, and I'm not knocking the quality of any of these DLCs, but they're all damn expensive. I'm not going to count exactly how many DLC items there are in this game, but getting them all would set you back by over $10,000.
I don't get how anyone who's not either Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII or a rich person who loves to spend money in ever more disheveled ways would care that much about this game.
![]()
Star Citizen's Ships are more expensive than actual cars
And if acquiring a bunch of trains in a game is expensive, getting a bunch of ultra-advanced starships would be even more expensive. The math is completely sound, is it not? So, if you want to acquire Star Citizen's Legatus 2953 Bundle, which contains 175 ships, you'll need to shell out $48,000.
While that sounds absolutely insane, there are also those who just donate money to the developers to get nothing — not even the full game — so touché, I guess.
It might sound unfair to clown on the extra content of a game that's not even really out yet, but I guess we're all willing to make an exception when they ask this much for DLC content.
![]()
Sonic Lost World's 25 DLC lives
Yes, the devs of Sonic Lost World asked players to pay extra to get 25 extra lives — something they can get on any Sonic game simply by pressing the reset button enough times — but it gets better.
If you don't know Sonic Last World, you'll probably find it extra weird and hilarious to learn that this is one of the least challenging Sonic titles in existence — one where getting extra lives is, well, extra easy. Before clowning on this one, however, please be mindful that the devs could've really ramped up the game's difficulty to make paying for those lives sound more tempting, and they just went for the bluff instead. I kind of have to respect their game.
![]()
Mortal Kombat X sells Easy Fatalities
Are you a good MK player who just happens to be incredibly afraid of choking when the "Finish Him!" screen pops up? Do you believe messing up a fatality is a bigger cause for shame than actually losing a Kombat? Ever wished you could have an easier time inputting the (relatively simple, actually) inputs required to perform a fatality on your friend? Well, NetherRealm had you in mind when they created the equivalent of training wheels for fatalities, which I'm guessing counts as the first instance of pay-to-flex in fighting game history. Best of all, nobody will know you paid for it. Everyone is just immediately gonna think you're so damn good at performing fatalities, something that everyone cares so deeply about.
Now, just think how hilarious it must be to see someone not skilled enough to perform a fatality attempt to play well enough to beat a serious opponent and get a chance to use said fatality.

Fisch has kicked off its Valentine's Update event, and while there aren't new rods, there are some lovely new Eels available. If you're planning to add these limited Eels to your Beastiary, this guide can help you. Here's how to catch the Lovestorm Eel in Roblox Fisch.
Before you catch a Lovestorm Eel
![]()
Before you catch these limited Eels, keep in mind that they can only be caught during the Lovestorm event. Simply log in during the Valntines event, do your usual thing, and wait for a message to pop at the top which says that the Lovestorm event has started. Head to the location, look for the fish pool (obviously, use a fish tracker to find the pool), and start casting.
How to catch a Lovestorm Eel
Lovestorm Eels are really difficult to catch. You'll know you hooked one if you get a whopping -90% Progression Speed. It's definitely going to be a long battle, so it's advised you equip yourself with a rod that boosts progression (A Zeus Rod, Kraken Rod, or the No-Life Rod are fantastic for this). Check out our Complete Fisch Roblox Rod List, Locations, & Crafting Recipes if you need help with finding any of these.
![]()
While the Lovestorm Eel is going to be a bright Valentine pink, you can also catch many of its mutated forms.
That's all there is to it. Good luck with catching a Lovestorm Eel, and don't forget about everything else in the Valentines Update. If you need a boost, check out our Fisch codes guide.

I think it's safe to assume that if you're here, then you're probably a gamer. Gaming offers a respite from reality, an escape from responsibility, and a challenge if you're feeling like nothing is pushing you hard enough.
However, life is hectic. It's not always possible to sit down and commit hours to grinding through an RPG or playing through other people's lives in life sims. Sure, you might want to curl up and spend your evenings trudging through warzones or building civilizations, but real life must take precedence and children, work, pets, and frankly, sleep are all more important even if they're not as much fun.
If that's the case, how can you stay up to date with recent releases in a deeper and more meaningful way than just watching the trailer? Well, YouTube has an answer to that. More specifically, Let's Play YouTubers are the answer to this predicament.
There are hundreds of people in the Let's Play corner of YouTube, playing games that others don't have the time to commit themselves to. If you want to live vicariously and understand a game, or you want to figure out if a game is worth buying, there's no better bunch of people to turn to.
As a busy parent, I've spent a lot of time watching Let's Play YouTubers while I clean the house, cook dinner, or otherwise just can't sit down to play. Here are 10 of the best that I've found over the years.
Jacksepticeye
30.9 million subscribers
Jack (Real name Seán) is without a doubt the most well-known YouTuber on this entire list, and he's been an absolute mainstay in the Let's Play sphere for over a decade now. Having discovered him when he had less than a million subscribers, I've watched his channel explode, and his self-growth is something to be impressed by.
Jack plays everything from niche indie titles to AAA releases, often in long-form, single-sitting videos. Among his most popular series are his single-sitting, full-game Soulsborne videos, Happy Wheels, Detroit: Become Human, and Undertale. There are hours of content to binge watch, and he truly has played something that will appeal to everyone.
Dan and Phil Games
2.9 million subscribers
Dan and Phil are, again, two people who I feel like I've grown up watching. Both of them have been making YouTube videos for over a decade and have come together to create Dan and Phil Games.
The channel is mostly known for its long-running Sims 4 series (they recently featured as part of The Sims 25 hour live stream to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of the franchise), so if you're a fan of the life sim, you'll find hours of content featuring their main Sim Dil and his now very large extended family. They also play a range of other PC and board/card games that are hilarious to watch.
Call Me Kevin
3.6 million subscribers
Call Me Kevin is a Let's Play YouTuber who ventures into the weird and wacky side of gaming. He's pitted AI against multiple games (Detroit: Become Human and Skyrim are definitely worth watching) and forces Sims to live in cursed situations just to see what happens.
From BitLife to Grand Theft Auto, Kevin has played a huge variety of games, so if you want a series to dive into, you'll find something on his channel. He also uploads a range of skits, music covers, and vlogs if you want to get to know the creator a little better.
Daz Black
9 million subscribers
Daz is, without a doubt, one of the funniest YouTubers to grace this list. He's a fan of horror games, even though he's absolutely terrified by every single one of them, so I'll warn you that watching him play is best done without headphones, or at least with them set to a low volume lest you end up going deaf via his screaming.
With that said, Daz doesn't just do Let's Plays. He also has an entire series of Ghost Hunt videos, regularly uploads reaction content, and also has a second channel that actually sees him go outside with his friend Will and touch grass. If you want something to brighten your day, or you're just a fan of niche horror games, I can't recommend Daz enough.
MadMorph
574 thousand subscribers
From someone who is likely to wake you up screaming to someone who actively tries to put you to sleep with his ASMR (mostly) cozy content. MadMorph is a huge name in the cozy gaming sphere, with his "Fall asleep while I play..." videos and previews of upcoming releases for the genre.
He doesn't exclusively stick to cozy games, mind you. He has done long-form playthrough videos of Until Dawn and Alan Wake 2 alongside his more niche cozy titles. If you want a relaxing voice to listen to while you try to relax but still want some gaming content, I recommend giving MadMorph a try.
Let's Game it Out
5.9 million subscribers
When it comes to gaming videos, it's always fun to see someone absolutely trash a game through overexertion of core mechanics, and that's something that you can rely on Let's Game it Out to do for you. He mostly plays life sims, although "play" might be a strong word. It's more like destroying the game through the mechanics that are meant to make it playable in the first place.
His most memorable attempts at this are through Zoo Tycoon and Planet Coaster, where he creates bizarre and nonsensical situations that inevitably descend into pure chaos. His videos regularly feature cuts where, when he returns, he discusses how he just spent hours of his life doing something completely insane.
Gudetama
332 thousand subscribers
Admittedly, this is a less serious entry, but as a lazy egg fan, I just can't not include him in this Let's Play YouTuber list. This cartoon egg has played Minecraft and Fall Guys, and while they're not exactly the most thrilling of playthroughs, it would entirely go against Gude's brand if they were actually exciting.
There's something weirdly soothing about watching a grumpy cartoon egg build a life in Minecraft or complain his way through a level in Fall Guys (all in Japanese with English subtitles). Plus, he's just adorable, and I'm fairly confident my spirit animal is an egg, so he's going on this list because I have the power to put him here.

RTGame has had a lot of long-running and successful series over the years, including a Minecraft series that he's gone back to after a decade away from the game and a bunch of Balatro content as well. Perhaps what he's best known for, though, is his "A man with no rhythm plays rhythm games" videos.
The overarching premise of his channel is trying things that he has no idea how to do, and that's appealing because it's how I go into most games these days. I love that RTGame doesn't focus on AAA titles, and also features niche games like Squirrel with a Gun and A Little to the Left in his roster.

This one is purely for the Sims fans, and James Turner's channel is filled with Let's Plays, and speed builds focused entirely on The Sims 4. Anyone who plays The Sims 4 will know about James Turner, as he's the creator of multiple hugely popular challenges such as Rags to Riches and the Every Occult Challenge.
Since the re-release of both The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, he's also been attempting his own challenges within the older titles, which are going… Well, about as well as you'd expect them to. There are endless hours worth of the Sims content on his channel, so if you're a fan of the franchise, you should definitely check it out.

Dan is another huge name in the Let's Play YouTube sphere, and he's also been around for over a decade at this point. Over that time, he's made thousands of gaming videos on everything from niche indie titles to Five Nights at Freddy's, and the main core of his content is Minecraft-based.
He also posts sporadic vlog-style videos and reactionary content, so you've got some different styles of content if you want to mix it up. Dan also has a second channel where he regularly goes live, streaming content and interacting with viewers as he plays. Destructoid Saturday, February 8, 2025 10:13 AM The Pokemon series has 18 typings for its more than 1000 Pokemon to date. Of the typings, one of the original and most popular is the Electric-Type. Electric-Type Pokemon make up around 88 entries in the Pokédex. It is also the typing of the series mascot, Pikachu. With such a powerful force in this typing, it can be tough for some to counter it. After all, Electric-Type Pokemon are some of the most resistant in the series. They have few weaknesses and resist a fair bit of types at the same time. On the other hand, they are matched by a somewhat low number of Pokemon they are super effective against. In most cases, when you face off against an Electric-Type Pokemon, chances are you'll be in for a neutrally damaging battle. This is because only a single typing — Ground — is super effective against Electric. That is quite impressive, matched by the fact that only Electric, Grass, Dragon, and Ground are resistant or immune to its attacks. Meanwhile, it takes less damage from Electric, Steel, and Flying. What balances it out is the two lone typings it is dominant against: Water and Flying. Overall, Electric may not be as powerful as some other typings but it is one of the most balanced. Here are some strategies that you can use to help you out when you are taking on these generally fast and effective Electric foes. Option 1: Shut down its power with a weakness[caption id="attachment_356779" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] First off, your best option up against an Electric-Type Pokemon is its sole weakness: Ground. If you roll up with a Ground Pokemon, you'll be able to not only deal some super effective damage against the Electric-Type Pokemon but be immune to any of its Electric attacks. This means in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, going up against one of the Gym Leader Iono's Pokemon like Bellibolt means you are better off using a Pokemon like Clodsire. Or even a fellow Electric-Type Pokemon like Sandy Shocks that has Ground moves. What you'll need to worry about is that many Electric-Type Pokemon have extremely high Speed stats. This makes them generally go first in battle. While it is possible to try and combat this with a fast Pokemon of your own, few Ground Pokemon are capable of this. Most are quite slow, in fact. This means that you'll want a Pokemon that is bulky enough to withstand whatever attacks the Pokemon has, so you can knock it out in one hit on the next turn. If you have both Special Attack and Physical Attack moves, that would be even better, as it's split when it comes to which of the two defensive stats Electric-Type Pokemon generally have. Option 2: Avoid being a conductor[caption id="attachment_347415" align="aligncenter" width="1280"] The other method of going about taking down an Electric-Type Pokemon is to have something that is able to resist its strengths. Of course, you don't want anything that is a Water or Flying-Type since those are the only two types that Electric Pokemon can take advantage of with super-effective damage. But you also might want something that resists or is entirely immune to paralysis. This is a frustrating status effect that Electric moves can inflict, which has a decent chance of preventing you from making a move every turn. In this case, you may want to tackle an Electric Pokemon with another Electric if you have a Ground-Type attack or strong neutrally damaging move. Electric Pokemon are the only ones immune to paralysis, with the exception of Grass-Types that can avoid some spore-based ones. Alternatively, you could use a Dragon-Type Pokemon since it resists some Electric damage and usually has a wide enough move pool to combat against an Electric Pokemon. Option 3: Consider its secondary typingAnother option is to consider the second typing of the Electric-Type Pokemon. Less than half of all Electric-Type Pokemon are single-types. This is one typing that benefits a lot from a secondary one and is quite common. As such, most of the weaknesses and strategies for defeating an Electric-Type Pokemon come from its secondary typing. Take Pawmot again, for example. Because of its extra Fighting-Type, it is also weak to Psychic and Fairy, in addition to the expected Ground. Or the Violet box art legendary, Miraidon, with its extra weaknesses to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. This opens up the doorway for many more strategies than would normally be possible against a pure Electric-Type Pokemon. This is especially true when up against a Pokemon like Kilowattrel, which is Electric and Flying. That Flying-Type addition means that it is now immune to Ground, which would normally be your go-to super-effective typing. Now, you have to plan ahead and use Ice or Rock if you want to take down this swift-moving bird. As you can see, the Electric-Type Pokemon are quite varied and flexible. You'll want to keep on your toes and think of all possible scenarios ahead of time if you want to be dominant in your battles. Option 4: Rely on certain Pokemon abilitiesYou could snuff the power out of Electric-types using Pokemon with abilities like Lightning Rod, Motor Drive, and Volt Absorb. For the most part, these abilities are shared by Electric Pokemon, but Lightning Rod is the exception. The Rhyperior line naturally learns Lightning Rod, despite not being Electric. This allows you to both nullify Electric moves and set up your own Ground-type moves at the same time. If that isn't an option, you can even fight fire with fire, or Electric in this case. You can use an Electric-type Pokemon like Pawmot, Pachirisu, Kilowattrel, Jolteon, and others that have access to the Volt Absorb ability. If an Electric-type enemy foolishly hits you with an Electric move, you'll be healed for damage. You can then use neutral-damage moves, such as Fighting or Fire, to knock out your opponent. [caption id="attachment_369331" align="alignnone" width="1024"] Option 5: Exploit defensive optionsWhile this is more in the competitive territory, it's always good to know if the opponent's Pokémon is more susceptible to Sp. Atk or normal Atk damage. For example, some popular Pokémon would be Raging Bolt or Miraidon. Both have a double-type pairing, so make use of Option 3, but also take note of defensive stats. Raging Bolt is more even between Sp. Def and Defense, so you can go for either one here, though Sp. Def is slightly less in terms of stats. However, Miraidon has a significantly lower Defense stat compared to its Sp. Def stat, so you want to ideally use Atk moves. Knowing what a Pokémon's weaker defensive stat is will go such a long way. Even if you need to pull up a guide to see what you may be going up against, those few points between Sp. Def and normal Defense can be the difference between knocking an opponent's Pokémon out or not. Option 6: Set up a diverse partyAdding onto Option 5, it's always good to use Pokémon of different types and stats. If you have a team that has all physical moves, they may not do so well against others that have high Defense stats. Having a mix between Sp. Atk and physical Attackers can keep your opponents guessing what you might do next. In some cases too, having some kind of defensive backup can throw their game off. [caption id="attachment_629802" align="alignnone" width="1024"] Option 7: Counter with held items and switchingSay you have a Pokémon at your party that has a Lightning Rod or something to nullify the damage caused by an upcoming electric move. That can go a long way to either force your opponent to also switch or play more defensively. In a case like this, you can get a good setup going, like using Spikes or Stealth Rock to get some passive damage between switches or knockouts. If your opponent starts to use power-up abilities, that's your chance to wither them down. Alternatively, if you know you have some obvious Electric weaknesses or not the greatest counters, you can always give your Pokémon a held item like a Wacan Berry to mitigate some damage or a Cell Battery to up your attack power after being hit. Option 8: Pay attention to Tera TypesWith Tera Types flipping a lot of what we have been used to in Pokémon games, you can be blindsided by what type your opponent may Terastallize to. This is why it is important to have a diverse cast of Pokémon in your team so you can still possibly counter whatever your opponent throws at you. The Super Smash Bros. series was at first a love letter to Nintendo fans, but it grew into a celebration of video games in general with later entries. This fighting game franchise in and of itself has a storied history, starting with mascots brawling in a field and leading all the way up to Nintendo's infamous "Everyone is here!" cry with the marketing of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Here are all of the Super Smash Bros. games ranked based on content, gameplay, and character selection, among other factors.
6. Super Smash Bros.
The first Super Smash Bros. laid the groundwork for the incredible fighting game series we have today, but unfortunately, due to its age, it is the worst entry. There aren't as many characters or stages, and the controls on the Nintendo 64 controller feel stiff in comparison to later consoles' entries.
Most of the stages, despite a lack of them, all stand out. Saffron City is an exciting stage for Pokemon fans as it brings out random pocket monsters into the fray, like the exploding Electrode. The Donkey Kong-inspired stage, Kongo Jungle, is also thrilling as you can be sent to your demise or saved by the barrels below, just like the original game Donkey Kong Country (one of the best SNES games ever). The single-player content, however, is lacking, with no adventure mode to speak of, just the arcade-style Classic Mode. It's always fun to break the targets and launch the Polygon Fighters out of the arena, though.

5. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
At first, some were skeptical that a portable Super Smash Bros. would even work, but it flourished on the Nintendo 3DS. I remember playing against my friends on the bus while heading to college, taking them down with a Mario fist spike. It ran well and even had its own stages separate from the Wii U version. The roster is absolutely stacked, with characters like Pac-Man, Shulk, and Palutena joining the mix. Cloud Strife and Bayonetta also participated in the battle as DLC.
Unfortunately, just like the Nintendo 64 version, the game suffers from a lack of single-player content. It has a Classic mode of course, but it also had an unsatisfactory selection of 3DS exclusive modes called Smash Run and StreetSmash, which lacked engaging gameplay and replayability. All-Star mode is also included but feels too similar to the Classic Mode (Arcade).
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
This game arguably gets too much hate from the fanbase and added a lot to the Super Smash Bros. format we know and love today. It made the game slower, making it more accessible for newcomers to the series. There is a cool Stage Builder mode, which was basic but began our sense of creativity as to where these fighters could bring their next battle. It introduced the Final Smash and Assist Trophies into the mix. Final Smashes look incredible on screen as Mario blasts the screen with an astonishing wave of fire. Assist Trophies allowed for more obscure characters to show up that wouldn't have a chance to make it on the roster, like Waluigi.
What took our breath away was The Subspace Emissary, which features elaborate CG cutscenes and branching paths where players choose which characters to continue with. It was so cool to see characters like Snake, Pit, and Mario interact with each other and form relationships. It also had a sense of drama, especially between Ness and Lucas, as one gets taken in as a trophy by the bad guys. It's a shame we've never had a story mode like this again, which series director Masahiro Sakurai says is due to players uploading cutscenes to YouTube.
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee
To be completely transparent, Super Smash Bros. Melee has never been my personal favorite. The physics feel too loose and fast for my liking, making it hard to play. I did grow up playing Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so that could be why. However, I can't deny that it has a strong lineage within the competitive community. Many enjoy the fast-paced combos, and the stages are undeniably fantastic. It's exciting to watch players compete in this game as they make wombo-combos and let loose on each other.
Some of the most iconic stages derive from this GameCube game. The Fountain of Dreams is still one of the most beautiful stages to exist in a fighting game, while Hyrule Temple is perfect for four-player matches with its grand set-up. Super Smash Bros. Melee also introduces players to the Adventure Mode, which has you exploring a platforming section based on the Mario series. This later inspired the Subspace Emissary we know and love today.
It's exciting to watch players compete in this game as they make wombo-combos and let loose on each other. I also have to give a shoutout to the incredible introductory cutscene that showcases all of the major characters.

2. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is when the series really got a handle on its identity despite it lacking an original name. It had the perfect balance between Super Smash Bros. Brawl's slower but precise controls and Super Smash Bros. Melee's speed. The roster expanded to more third-party characters, including iconic heroes like Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife and Street Fighter's Ryu. The upgrade to full HD was like night and day, really making each of the character models and stages shine. Additionally, the online was smoother than the pitiful attempt that Brawl made.
This Smash Bros entry also added the ability to play with eight players at once, which was a thrilling chaos that only this series now provides. You could even connect a 3DS and play games that way if you so wanted, in addition to Wii remotes and GameCube controllers. It's honestly very accessible to play, and I played a lot of this during college between classes.
The hype behind who will join the roster next in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was so exciting, and Nintendo even let us vote for who we want to see in the game. Bayonetta ultimately got called up, but Sora was the #1 pick by fans, who was later added as the last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC. The amiibo support that was introduced with this version also brought a new collectible element and has you training them by fighting them.

1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate truly lives up to its name. Every character from the series' past joined, even including Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake, who was absent from the Wii U entry. The roster is so huge! Now, you could have Pichu fight Mega Man while Pac-Man chomped away at Mario. It is a true love letter to video games as you play on iconic stages like Kingdom Hearts' Hollow Bastion and Mega Man's Wily Castle. It has more than 100 stages available, and all of them could be changed to Final Destination or Battlefield versions, making them tournament-legal.
There is so much content to find in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. You could finish the World of Light adventure mode that will take you hours upon hours to complete with a fun premise of getting new gimmicks to each fight with the spirits you find and unlock. Classic Mode has a scaling difficulty, giving you more rewards for harder runs. 1,068 tracks are available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, letting you customize the music in the background. Player-created Mii skins and stages are also in abundance.
The online wasn't perfect when it came out, but has made improvements since then. Unlike Brawl, games were finally playable, especially if both players had solid internet speeds. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is nearly a perfect game, and it's hard to imagine how Nintendo will top it. I haven't even scratched the surface with the other content there is in this 9.5/10 rated game from our review. Nevertheless, it would be great if Subspace Emissary returned in the next entry with a more involved storyline than World of Light, so fingers crossed.

The Zone is a frighteningly lethal backdrop in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, so any scavenger worth their salt understands the value of packing serious heat.
GSC Game World's survival shooter offers trespassers 35 different firearms to meet their needs, and rare versions of these weapons are scattered across the game's anomalous locale. One of these "unique" guns is the Clusterfuck, a modified AR416 fitted with a sniper scope that amplifies its range over the base type. The gun is a bit tricky to find for the average adventurer, but it's worth the extra effort for its tremendous utility.
How to Get the Clusterfuck in Stalker 2
![]()
The Clusterfuck is located in the Zaton region in The Zone's southwest and is found during the side quest "Three Captains." Loners first travels to Zaton during the story mission "In Search of a Guide" to meet up with Richter at Skadovsk or Shevchenko. A trader in Skadovsk named Sonya Kalyna is the quest giver for "Three Captains," but two other side quests must be completed first before it can trigger.
Within the grounded cargo ships, killers get involved in the rivalry between Sultan and Beard, the respective leaders of the two communities. Kalyna explains the two men were allies before the Sultan exiled Beard, renaming Skadovsk after himself. Below is the shortened sequence of events that must be fulfilled to trigger "Three Captains":
![]()
A trader-ous plot
Explorers must run errands for the bosses in the form of two side quests: retrieving "The Mysterious Case" for Sultan and rescuing Beard's men in "Bullseye." Sultan accuses Beard of interfering with the case's retrieval, and Beard claims Sultan had his men captured. The head honchos arrange a meeting at a neutral location to settle the matter.
At this time, robbers learn Kalyna is responsible for the missing case and the abducted men. The traitorous trader asks stalkers to aid her plan to assassinate both community leaders during the meeting. Her goal is to grab power amidst the vacuum left by Sultan and Beard, unite Zaton, and expand her reach into neighboring regions.
Agreeing to assist Kalyna's plot begins "Three Captains" and directs scavengers to Port Cranes, where they'll find a sniper overseeing the meeting from atop a massive construction crane. The Clusterfuck is inside the sniper's nest at the top. After taking the sniper out, trespassers can decide to kill Sultan and Beard or Kalyna's men.
Clusterfuck Weapon Stats
The Clusterfuck essentially combines the best attributes of snipers, assault rifles, and shotguns in Stalker 2. An outstanding rate of fire and large magazine save adventurers from untimely reloads during firefights. Trading full auto-firing mode for a sniper scope boosts its damage, range, accuracy, and penetration. 5.56x45 caliber ammunition is incredibly abundant, keeping the weapon from weighing down your inventory. These attributes combine to make the Clusterfuck a ridiculously versatile juggernaut.

Love is in the air, and there's plenty of Fisch in the sea. Whether you are looking for your loved one or are lucky enough to have your own fishing partner, Fisch has got you covered with its Valentine's Update. While there aren't any new rods in this update, there are cool things to be won and, new boats, skins and bobbers, and even an event for all the lovers.
Fisch Valentines Update Notes
Here's everything new in this limited but wholesome update:
Catchable Love Eels from the Lovestorm event
While the Valentine's Update is active, keep an eye out for a special event called Lovestorm. It's an event like any other we've seen in Fisch. Simply sail to any location where the Lovestorm takes place and start fishing. Before long, you'll be able to own two variations of Love Eels. Not sure why the devs went with Eels, but it is what it is.
Valentines Reward System with 5 fishing goals
![]()
We really hope you're ready to reel in a big haul because you'll need to catch 5,000 fish in total to get all the prizes. However, you can make this process somewhat easier. If you have a dedicated friend or maybe even a significant other who plays Fish (lucky you), get them to team up with you for the event. The two of you can join forces and catch the 5,000 Fish together. Of course, you can catch everything on your own, but it's faster with a partner.
You get a reward for 50, 100, 500, 2,000, and 5,000 Fish you catch. You can get new bobbers, new skins, and a few rare fish, with the final reward being a Swan-like boat (presumably fit for two).
Chocolate Bait
Want some chocolate-flavored fish? We don't either, but maybe the Merchant will. During the event get yourself some Chocolate Fish Bait (a reward for catching 100 and 2,000 fish from the Valentine Rewards), which can fish out Chocolate Fish. Just like all mutated fish, these are worth more when sold.
A Valentine's Day Bundle
![]()
For those who are willing to spend a few more Robux, the Valentine Bundle offers a few premium items and some Server Luck. Get a Love Gondola, the Love Lantern, and 30 minutes of 2x Server Luck for 1299 Robux. We'll let you decide if that price is worth it.
Premium Valentine Themed skins, boats, and bobbers

If you want to bring some of that love energy to your fishing rods, you've also got some limited rod skins. Again, you get to be the judge on wether these are worth it or not. With that said, these do not, in any way, shape, or form, improve your fishing abilities. They are purely cosmetic.
That's all there is to it. Find a partner if you can, start fishing, and work towards getting that Swan Boat. If you need a boost, check out our Fisch codes.

I'm convinced a Forza Horizon 6 announcement is on the horizon, if you'll excuse the shoddy pun. 2025 marks four years since the launch of Forza Horizon 5 -- longer than the gap between any Forza title ever. While a formal announcement has yet to be made, I think the hints are out there.
All cheekiness aside, there genuinely are reasons why one might expect Playground Games to finally come out and reveal that Forza Horizon 6 is in some stage of development. This is one of Xbox's most successful game series by far, and it stands tall even in the wake of Halo's failures and Gears of War's long absence. It's so successful that it's even being ported over to PlayStation 5.
This is one of the key reasons why I think we'll be getting a Forza Horizon 6 announcement in 2025. Before we get to that part of the equation, though, we've got to establish our timeline.
![]()
Forza Horizon 5 is done, for all intents and purposes
Though Playground Games hasn't come out and said it, it should be clear by now that Forza Horizon 5 is winding down its post-launch support outline. It's not done done in the same sense as its predecessor, Forza Horizon 4 (which was outright delisted), but the biggest chunks of bonus content have already been released, and we'll get way fewer goodies as we go. This may sound like a downer, but it really isn't. Forza Horizon 5 received the most substantial and comprehensive slew of content updates post-release of any other Forza game.
It surprised me to learn that it's been four whopping years since Horizon 5 was released. In that time, we received a total of 42 full-sized content updates, which more-or-less doubled FH5's vehicle roster. It's a huge boon if you're a lightweight gearhead with a penchant for collecting shiny baubles like I am. In context, the 43rd seasonal update, which is a bit smaller, doesn't look too bad, but it does present us with an obvious change of pace: Forza Horizon 5 is winding down.
Driving this point home further still is the fact that there will be no more new Festival Playlists coming to FH5. Instead, the community will now be able to vote on next month's seasonal theme, which will then feature an assortment of appropriate goodies and events for players to pursue. It's a good system on paper, of course, but it, too, shows us which way the winds are blowing.
![]()
With Forza Horizon 5 effectively wrapping up its content output, the next step is obvious
Keeping all of the above in mind, we can now circle back to the fact that Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5. Certainly, one could think of this as yet another in a long line of capitulations to Sony, but I think there may be an extra layer to what Xbox and Playground Games are doing here. Specifically, this may be an adaptation of the way Sony has been handling most of its PlayStation-exclusive games: single-player, non-live-service titles only released on PC after a reasonable period of exclusivity ran out.
I don't think it's an accident that Forza Horizon 5 is making its way to PlayStation now that its full-fledged live-service offerings have winded down. Xbox may instead be trying to expose an even greater number of players to Forza ahead of the franchise's next flagship release. Let's be honest: if you're just in for it for fun, casual driving and an open-world content bonanza, nothing beats Forza Horizon. And PlayStation, specifically, has never had a Forza game before.
Don't take this to mean that Forza Horizon 6 won't be released on PlayStation on day one: it very well might. Yet, it's also possible that Xbox will pursue a limited-time exclusivity setup in select cases. I feel that a franchise as prolific as Forza would definitely serve as the best possible guinea pig for this kind of approach.
![]()
Even though Playground Games' Fable is coming, there's no way Forza Horizon 6 isn't being actively developed
In summary, then, I think we're due to get an official confirmation and announcement of Forza Horizon 6 in 2025 because:
There's virtually no way Xbox won't announce a new Forza Horizon game in 2025, taking these factors into account. The single potential issue with my theory, as it were, is that Playground Games has also been working on a fancy new Fable game for the past couple of years. This means the studio's attention might've been divided to a greater degree than was otherwise expected. However, it should be obvious that the people working on Forza Horizon titles aren't also pulling double-duty producing an ARPG.
Playground Games has two separate studios operating under its umbrella in Leamington Spa: one is located at Rossmore House, and the other at St. Albans House. Some crossover between the two is to be expected, but there still is a dedicated in-house Forza team working on the franchise, and they've not been twiddling their thumbs in the years prior.
So, Fable or no Fable, we're getting a Forza Horizon 6 announcement in 2025, I'm sure of it. On a similar and entirely related note, do you reckon those car model fixes might be due for Forza Horizon 6 as well? Or am I just being highly optimistic here, again? Guess we'll find out!

The Egg Pan Station can be unlocked once you've reached level 8 friendship with Pekkle and completed his "Rockadoodle Round Up" quest. Upgrading the Egg Pan Station is more complicated than most Cooking Stations, as you'll need to take 102 unique Gudetama photos, which requires you to unlock Merry Meadow in its entirety. Even if you manage to find Tophat Gudetama each week, he doesn't count towards this total.
The main ingredient at the Egg Pan Station is, unsurprisingly, Eggs.

What are the best cooking recipes to make in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
Considering the fact that you'll only usually be making recipes for the purposes of gift-giving or filling out your collections, there are some recipes that are more worth preparing than others.
While just starting out and increasing your friendships with the villagers, you'll want some easy-to-make gifts that are at least two hearts. While not everyone appreciates edible goodies, some of the more difficult-to-level characters will happily take your baked or roasted goods off your hands.
Here are a few recipes to bear in mind during the early leveling process:

There are a lot of seasonal events in Hello Kitty Island Adventure sprinkled throughout the year, offering chances to get a staggering number of items and rewards. February is the season of love, and the residents of Friendship Island like to get into the spirit of things.
The Hugs & Hearts event is an annual celebration of love, friendship, and all things heart-shaped. This year, the event is taking place between February 8 and February 22, with a chance for new players to get their hands on items for the first time and veterans to grab anything they might have missed.
If you recently purchased the Deluxe edition of Island Adventure for PC or Switch, you'll have these items waiting for you once you unlock the Deluxe Event Bundle in-game after you complete the "Fish Noir" and "Comic Relief" quests.
Here's everything you need to know about the Hugs & Hearts event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, including how to take part, the rewards on offer, and all the details.

As soon as you open Island Adventure for the first time during the event's duration, Chococat will pull you to one side and tell you all about a new type of Critter that's shown up. It's called a Lovebug, and it can be found around Resort Plaza.
Lovebugs are little pink caterpillars, and you'll need to equip your net and try to track them down. You can capture one Lovebug per day during the event but don't worry if the first one you see gets spooked. More will show up until you catch your daily allowance, allowing you multiple chances to capture the Critter.
![]()
Once you've caught a Lovebug, you'll be able to place it in the Hugs & Hearts event stand, which is located between Pochacco's usual spot and the beach. Placing a Lovebug into the event stand will turn it into a Chrysalis, and you'll be able to select one reward per Lovebug you put into the building.
Shortly before the event ends, the Lovebug Chrysalises will turn into Heartwings, which will flutter around the island until the end of the event. When the event finishes, Keroppi will give you one Heartwing as a keepsake of the event.

Event rewards and items can be obtained through a few different sources, and it can be hard to keep track of everything to make sure you get the full collection. To help, here's everything broken down into individual sources.

Each day during the event, a new daily gift will be given. Not all of them are event-specific, but all of them are useful. Here's everything you'll get during the event, with exclusive event items highlighted in bold:

Both Tuxedosam and My Melody will have exclusive items available for purchase during the event, selling clothing and furniture items, respectively. As these items are not guaranteed to show up on any given day of the event, it's worth checking back daily and possibly hopping over to friends' islands if they happen to have an item you desperately want.
Clothing from Tuxedosam
These items are pretty resource-heavy to purchase, so you might need to do some grinding (particularly with giving gifts to Cinamoroll, who will provide you with the much-needed Candy Clouds) to get everything you need.
Furniture from My Melody
These items are all purchased from My Melody by exchanging resources. Again, purchasing them is a pretty resource-heavy experience, and there's no guarantee that any of these items will actually show up in your store during the event. You'll need more Candy Clouds, a hoard of Ingots, and a fair amount of Rubber if you want to buy the following items:

The rare Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab Disney Dreamlight Valley ingredient can help you make two kinds of fish dishes in Chez Remy or your home's stove. You can even make some furniture at the crafting station with this ingredient, such as the Agrabah Chair, the Autumn Mage Scarecrow, and more.
Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab Disney Dreamlight Valley ingredient location
The Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab in Disney Dreamlight Valley can only be retrieved with the A Rift in Time DLC. Otherwise, it can't be obtained. Head over to The Bind in Storybook Vale. Look around the water and try to spot orange ripples in the water. Thankfully, I was able to find one fairly quickly. Get your fishing rod out.
![]()
It may be difficult to catch the Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab, but after four or five rhythm beats, you should be able to catch this little guy. If you have a friend who has the fishing specialty, you'll have a chance to grab two of the Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab while also leveling up their friendship meter.
If you decide to sell the Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab to Goofy at his stall, you can get 800 Star Coins. You can also consume it raw for 1,500 Energy.
How to cook with this crab
The Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab can help you make the four-star meal Arcane Garlic Crab. You'll need the following ingredients:
![]()
Garlic can be retrieved from the grounds of Everafter's The Wild Woods and Teapot Falls. It can also be acquired in the Forest of Valor.
Salt Crystals can be picked up by fishing in areas outside ripples in The Wild Woods, Teapot Falls, The Fallen Fortress, and The Beanstalk Marshes.
You can easily get a spice like Oregano from The Plaza in the main valley, where our adventures began.
Bring all of these ingredients together at any cooking station from your home or Chez Remy by throwing them into the pot. You'll then have the Arcane Garlic Crab to sell for around 1,380 Star Coins or eat it for 3,393 Energy, depending on the ingredients you choose.

Regardless of how you feel about the game, Starfield at least offered something a bit different from Bethesda that wasn't under the Elder Scrolls or Fallout umbrella. And it scratched that sci-fi, space-faring itch when we weren't engrossing ourselves in No Man's Sky.
Now, if you really want to experience the awesome spectacle of space exploration, Bethesda is giving away the chance to see one up close. As noted in a recent blog post, you could be the lucky winner who will get a chance to take a trip to the Kennedy Space Center to watch Lonestar's upcoming Freedom Mission launch to the moon.
The launch will take place on February 26 and will give one person (plus a guest) the opportunity to rub elbows with astronauts and others in attendance.
Moony McMoonFace
As if that wasn't enough, the winner will also have the chance to transmit their own message to Earth's moon. Now, we all know that giving people on the internet the opportunity to deliver something special to the population is typically a recipe for disaster (or hilarity), so it stands to reason that this message will be massively vetted and made appropriate before launch.
Here's everything the winner will receive:
The mission itself is a chance for Lonestar to send the first-ever data center to the moon "for the future of humanity."
Sadly, according to the competition rules, it's only eligible for people who live in the US. If you do qualify to enter, you can fill out this form, which is also where you will get to suggest what message you'd like delivered. The sweepstake ends February 13 at 12 pm ET. Make sure you check the full rules before entering.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, A Feast for the Poor quest introduces you to Chenyek, who will test your abilities with a set of questions.
You'll first meet him when you arrive in Kuttenberg. Chenyek is part of the guild, and he will assign you certain tasks. But to complete them, you'll have to join the first crew, which will make it necessary for you to complete the quiz. The quiz can be completed successfully if you manage to answer all three questions successfully.
Chenyek's Guild Test correct answers in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Chenyek's quiz has three questions, and you won't get a second chance. If you fail to get the correct answer during the first attempt, you'll have to forego the quiz. When you make a wrong choice, Cheynek will tell you the correct answer. Thankfully, the quiz isn't reliant on your in-game stats and skills, and there are no skill checks as well. To solve the challenge, you'll have to answer all of them correctly in the first attempt.
Interestingly enough, getting a wrong answer will forfeit the quiz, but you will still be able to join the guild. I am not sure why Warhorse has designed the quest in this fashion, as answering wrongly doesn't appear to have a negative effect. However, the guide will certainly help you get all the correct answers.

In many ways, the quiz is pretty similar to Riddler Barley's riddles, which can help you to win Groschen by solving all of them. Here's a detailed guide that will help you crack all the riddles thrown at you by Barley. While he appears randomly in the game, some of his riddles can be pretty tricky to find the correct answers.

Poison recipes represent a special category of Alchemical potions that can be obtained in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and they can be extremely helpful in combat.
To craft these items, you'll first need to unlock the recipes. Then, you'll have to get the required ingredients in the right amounts to manufacture the items. Let's first take a look at all the available resources, followed by how to obtain them to use in the game.
All Poison Recipes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
So far, we have discovered three different recipes that belong to the Poison type.
How to use Poison on weapons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Once you have crafter a Poison recipe, it will be available along with your potions. Select the item you want to use. Then, select the item you want to use it on, and it will gain the effects. You can also use Poison on a food item, but make sure to not consume it (lest you want to feel its ill effects).
Thankfully, the process of crafting a Poison is pretty much the same as crafting any other potion. Most of the ingredients are easy to find, and they can be used in other Alchemy recipes as well.

Fairy tales are typically told to impart moral lessons to young, impressionable minds. But what if the story ends up true? That's the case with the Axe from the Lake in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and here's how to find it.
The Axe from the Lake is a side activity in Kingdom Come 2. To start it, travel to the town of Tachov and look for a man called "Zdenyek the Mouth" at the tavern. If he's not there, try waiting for the evening when he's eating with the other townsfolk.
![]()
How to begin the Axe from the Lake activity
Speak with Zdenyek and ask him about his reputation as the town storyteller. He'll make your acquaintance in his own special way before saying yes, he has some stories to share... for a price. You can convince him to tell you a story if you have the stats for it. He can also do it for a drink, but his fancy ass isn't keen on cheap booze. If you're early in the game, you can get him to sing by greasing his palms with 25 groschen. It's a small price to pay for the reward.
![]()
Zdenyek gives you three options for what kind of story you want to hear: something sad, scary, or informative. Choose "informative," and he'll launch into the tale of the woodcutter brothers Kuba and Matthias. The story is a tragic tale of jealousy and greed, leaving one brother dead, drowned in a nearby lake, and the other with a silver axe gifted by a water goblin.
In the tale, Matthias, the surviving brother, takes Kuba's body and buries it with the axe on a hill past an oak tree and a rock. Zdenyek swears that it's true, and dares you to find the axe if you don't believe him. He gives you the coordinates to Rocktower Pond and tells you to look for the water goblin's pier where the story began.
![]()
How to find the Silver Axe from the Lake
You must follow the short list of directions as told in Zdenyek's story. It starts with a pier hidden in the reeds at Rocktower Pond southwest of Tachov.
Here are the instructions:
You need a Spade to complete the final task. If you don't have a spade, you can purchase one from a merchant, such as Jurg Thomel in Troskowitz.
More: Where to find the merchant's tipped cart in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
When ready, head to the pond southwest of Tachov. You can zoom into your map to see the location of the pier.
![]()
Head to it to begin the hunt. Look for the shoddy pier among the reeds. You can have Henry look at the pier by pressing the LB button on a controller or the Left Alt key on PC.
![]()
Next, you must head up a nearby hill to look for the old oak tree where Matthias stopped. Turn around from the pier and walk north. Go past the road and look for a path heading up the hill. It goes past some large rocks.
![]()
Follow the path a short way and you'll run into the old oak tree.
![]()
Follow the path around the tree to the left. You'll soon find a large stone in a clearing surrounded by a ring of smaller stones left of the path.
![]()
Continue on the path but stop where it starts turning right at a dead tree. Look to the left for a grave under a tree with a full view of the river beyond. Press the button or key to unearth the grave.
![]()
Next to the corpse of Kuba is a sack with multiple items:
![]()
You can take the axe for the quest, but I'd suggest also looting the Gemstone Silver Ring. It provides a nice charisma boost.
How to repair the Silver Axe
You must take the Broken Axe to a blacksmith's forge to repair it. The closest is Radovan's smithy back at Tachov. You also must have completed the blacksmith tutorial by speaking with Radovan early in the game. Check out our guide on blacksmithing in Kingdom Come 2 for more.
Start blacksmithing and choose the Adorned Axe recipe. It requires Fastening Material, which you can purchase from the blacksmith if you need it. Craft the axe as you would normally, and soon the Silver Axe will be reborn as the Adorned Axe.
![]()
Here are the stats for the Adorned Axe (the price may differ based on quality):
Return to Zdenyek and tell him you found the axe to finish the quest.

While returning to the Hermit after fulfilling Ambrose's last wish in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Henry meets a few Order of The Cross knights, who after claiming that Konrad is guilty of betraying the brotherhood, enlist him to help in their quest.
But should you turn your back on the hermit and aid the knights or fight by his side? And above all else, where does the truth lie? Here's whether you should kill or save Konrad the Hermit in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Should you kill or save Konrad the Hermit in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Although the choice will ultimately lie in how you want to play, I believe saving Konrad is both the right choice and the one that leads to the best outcome. The reason for that? He was indeed telling the truth and was only being hunted for discovering the betrayal within the order.
Even though Konrad will claim the above during certain dialogues before and after facing the knights, you can get a clearer picture by reading his diary, located below a few sacks on the upper floor of his shack. Keep in mind that if the Hermit is saved, entering the shack will be considered trespassing.
How to approach Konrad after you meet the knights
![]()
After meeting the knights and either agreeing or being coerced to help, Konrad will be waiting for you with his crossbow at the ready. To approach him successfully and unlock the ability to save him, you must stop moving at the moment he tells you to and then hold "Look" before selecting "Try to get answers" and "I am not your enemy."
Once he agrees to talk, wait for Konrad to put away his crossbow before resuming and heading towards him. This is a must, as even if you did receive the go-ahead, moving forward before he holsters the weapon will cause him to become hostile. To save Konrad, simply talk to him again, select "I'll help you," and defeat the knights.
What do you get for saving the Hermit in KCD 2?
Apart from finally being given the location of Ambrose's Broken Sword —which, funnily enough, can be acquired from the get-go if you manage to stumble upon it— saving the Hermit in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will prompt him to offer to reward you for your help. Should you accept, Henry will receive 85 Groschen. You will also be able to get a good amount of items by looting the bodies of the fallen knights, including an Order of the Cross Knight Shield and a lot of valuables worth good sums when resold.
Now that you have everything you need, simply head back to Radovan to forge The Hermit's Sword and get one step closer to the main portion of the Wedding Crashers quest.
