Monster Hunter Wilds quest list - all main missions and side quests

What are the Monster Hunter Wilds quests? There are a fair few ways to hunt monsters in Capcom's latest RPG juggernaut. You can find the monster you want to slay out in the wild, hunt it down during an optional quest, or stumble upon it during a main story mission. As such, keeping track of all these methods can be rather difficult, and if you're a completionist, you'll want to know that you've done everything the game has to offer.

Monster Hunter Wilds offers main story chapters with different sub-chapters within them, and within those are assignments to hunt certain monsters that in turn become optional quests later on. Yes, that's almost as confusing as remembering the names of all the Monster Hunter Wilds monsters or deciding which Monster Hunter Wilds weapon to main. Thankfully, we've created a complete list of every main mission, side quest, and assignment so you can keep on top of your to-do list.

How to capture monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds

How do you capture monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds? While slaying monsters is a foregone conclusion in Capcom's hunting RPG, it's not the only way to end a hunt. Instead, you can choose to capture rather than kill, letting you complete the quest without a carcass to carve up at the end.

While you won't receive quite as many rewards from captured MH Wilds monsters as you do slain ones, there are numerous benefits to this humane hunting method. Principally, capturing a monster in Monster Hunter Wilds is a great way to beat the timer or death penalty, letting you walk away with something rather than nothing. However, the ability to capture a monster is a little more complicated than just hacking away at it with your MH Wilds weapon. Here's how to do it without wasting your supplies.

How to level up your Monster Hunter Wilds Hunter Rank fast

How do you level up your Monster Hunter Wilds Hunter Rank fast? The leveling system in MH Wilds operates slightly differently than your typical RPG. Rather than leveling up your character directly, your progression is tied to your Hunter Rank (HR). This number increases with Hunter Rank Points, which you can earn from hunts.

The rank system in Monster Hunter Wilds includes a series of level gates that rise in tandem with the main story. If you focus your energies on side activities like the MH Wilds fishing quests, you may find yourself lingering at those low levels no matter how many MH Wilds monsters you slay. Here's how to level up fast without letting Hunter Rank Points go to waste.

Monster Hunter Wilds mounting explained - how to mount monsters

How do you mount monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds? With MH Wilds' new wound tech, it pays to keep targeting the same area of a monster as you're battling it out. There isn't a better way to do it than by jumping onto their back, where you can strike without the need to move. Mounting monsters is a great way to target specific areas, provided you can get up there in the first place.

Taking advantage of mounting in MH Wilds is key to defeating monsters, and the MH Wilds Insect Glaive is recommended as the best MH weapon to do so, but you can reach the height needed with every one of our MH Wilds builds. There are some important things you need to know before you start climbing on the backs of goliaths, so here's Monster Hunter Wilds mounting explained.

February 27, 2025: We added the latest GTA 6 news, which pertains to the game potentially having a metaverse like Fortnite and Roblox.

When is GTA 6 coming out? Given how many years it takes to create open worlds of the same caliber as GTA 5, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. Rockstar prefers to keep its secrets close to its chest until close to the end of development, but Take-Two has now confirmed when exactly we can expect it to arrive.

The layoffs were confirmed this week in a statement from parent company Krafton to PC Gamer, which you can find below. Apologies for spoiling anyone's game of official statement bingo but, yes, it contains the word "agile".

The are some discrepancies on the UK Nintendo store, however, with the release dates for each of the packs from the first set also listed as 25/03/2025.

Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Cooking meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. All you do is select ingredients, throw them in, and you get a whole meal out of it. However, cooking multiple meals can get tiresome because you need to do them individually.

This was somewhat rectified in the Rift in Time DLC with the addition of the Ancient Cooker, but this isn't useful if you don't own the DLC or don't have time to hoard up on the Mist needed to use it. Thankfully, there's now another option, thanks to the Tales of Agrabah update.

As of February 26, all players will gain access to something called a Slow Cooker that can be used for any of the hundreds of recipes currently included in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Here's how to unlock, craft, and use this god-tier piece of equipment.

How to unlock the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Tiana is your key to the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

Unlocking the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley is actually remarkably easy, and it seems that everyone will have access to the unlock quest as long as they've brought Tiana to the Village.

Once she's in the Village, you should be able to pick up a quest with her called "Slow and Steady." This is the quest that will eventually unlock the Slow Cooker in all of its glory, but you'll need to craft the appliance first.

How to craft the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Crafting the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Slow Cooker is an absolute godsend, but that does mean that there's a fairly hefty amount of resources needed to craft it:

  • 6 Iron Ingots

    • Crafted using 5 Iron Ore and 1 Coal Ore

  • 2 Tinkering Parts

    • Crafted using 2 Iron Ingots
    • Each craft will result in 3 Tinkering Parts

  • 20 Hardwood

    • Foraged from the ground in Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Frosted Heights
    • 20 can be purchased from Kristoff's Stall as part of his rotating stock
    • Dropped when removing Big Tree Stumps

  • 2,500 Dreamlight

    • Obtained by completing Dreamlight Duties
    • Crafted using 10 Dream Shards per 250 Dreamlight

Once you've got all of these resources, you can head to any Crafting Station and find the Slow Cooker under the "Functional Items" tab. Once you've crafted your Slow Cooker, you can then place it anywhere in the Valley.

How to use the Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Slow Cooker in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

Using the Slow Cooker is basically identical to using any other Cooking Station in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but you'll need to make sure you have enough ingredients to make multiple of whatever dish you plan to make.

After interacting with the Slow Cooker, the following menu will pop up:

Slow Cooker menu in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

Select "Select Ingredients", and then you can search through the recipes using the new search tool. When you've selected a recipe, throw in all of the ingredients and then select "Start Cooking" to be taken back to the original menu.

Now, select "Cook" on the right-hand side and choose how many of the dish you want to make. Like the Ancient Cooker, you'll need to spend some resources per dish, but in this case, its Dreamlight. It doesn't matter whether you're cooking a 1-star or a 5-star recipe, each dish costs 25 Dreamlight to make

Once you're happy, confirm your choice, and your chosen meals will be cooked in the background. Each recipe takes some time, so you'll need to leave the Slow Cooker working its magic while you go off and do other things. The process stops once you leave the game, and will resume again when you log back in.

A stealth assassination screenshot from Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Ubisoft's been having a rough time lately, with anticipated blockbusters such as Star Wars Outlaws failing to actually pull in audiences. The general sentiment is that the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows is a make-it-or-break-it moment for the company, and it seems like Ubisoft is embracing Steam for the job.

In case you haven't noticed yet, Ubisoft has already confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows is going to basically support all the baseline Steam features from day one onwards. Achievements, for example, will be earnable via Steam rather than funneling them via UPlay, which I categorically refuse to reference under its new Connect title. For context, Ubisoft has slowly been introducing Steam achievements to its legacy releases as of late, whereas this wasn't even on the docket just a few years back. This is on top of promising to publish new flagship titles on Steam on day one, which was unprecedented for Ubisoft. What does this all mean in the grand scheme of things, though?

Assassin's Creed Shadows has two protagonists and will release in March 2025
Image via Ubisoft

Is Ubisoft ever going to get rid of Ubisoft Connect/UPlay?

Make absolutely no mistake here: Assassin's Creed Shadows is the make-it-or-break-it moment for Ubisoft at this time. I was taken aback by how mild the reception to Star Wars Outlaws was, myself, as I do think it's a genuinely compelling and solidly executed title across the board. To say nothing of the fact that it's a Star Wars game, of all things. Yet, it failed to deliver the kind of success Ubisoft needed, and the fancy new ninja-focused Assassin's Creed is what it's all about now.

Why is this important in the context of Steam achievements, of all things? It's no accident that Ubisoft started bringing its attention back onto Steam after its flagship-tier releases started failing to deliver. Heck, Star Wars Outlaws specifically wasn't supposed to release on Steam as quickly as it did, but its subpar sales performance forced Ubisoft's hand in this respect. The publisher is already licensing out some of its legacy IPs to indie developers, if The Rogue Prince of Persia is anything to go by, and that was released on Steam day-one without any UPlay/Ubisoft Connect thingamadoodads to speak of.

All of this is to say that I think we may yet see Ubisoft fully embrace Steam before all is said and done. With full integration present and accounted for in AC: Shadows right off the bat, we're just one small step away from throwing UPlay into the abyss where it belongs, and who knows what happens next. Will it affect the game's sales/adoption rates on Steam? It very well might, but we'll have to wait and see what the hard data tells us.

Keeping all of the above in mind, it's not like early adoption necessarily means anything as far as Ubisoft is concerned. I'm comparing apples to oranges here, of course, but do remember that xDefiant was Ubisoft's fastest-growing title less than a year before it was shut down. The going is obviously tough at Ubisoft right now, and I wouldn't at all be surprised if UPlay got de-emphasized further. Good riddance, I say.

The Yellow Thunder is an incredibly powerful Clan moveset that is a bit awkward at first but becomes incredibly powerful with the last three moves. I'll guide you through all the moves and them talk about some PVP and PVE tips. Here's my complete Yellow Thunder guide in Ninja Time.

All Yellow Thunder Moves in Ninja Time

The Yellow Thunder Clan in Ninja Time requires a full investment of 25 ranks to be viable in PVP and PVE but in return, it's an S-Tier Clan moveset. All the moves combo so well together and while you only unlock the three damage moves at the end, they're exceptionally powerful. Here are all of them and then let's talk about tips.

Name Requirement Description

Yellow Kunai
Yellow Thunder 1 Throw a Kunai to mark a teleport location for Yellow Teleport. You can leave numerous Kunai across the open world as you explore and teleport to them with Yellow Teleport.

Yellow Teleport
Yellow Thunder 1 Teleport to any Yellow Kunai of your choice by clicking on the menu on your left that appears when pressing the keybind for this move.

Yellow Seal
Yellow Thunder 4 Summon a seal to absorb any projectile that hits you, negating that projectile.

Mark of the Storm
Yellow Thunder 4 This is a melee grab attack and if you hit you mark the target, then you can press Mark of the Storm again to teleport to your marked target instantly.

Yellow Blink Dash
Yellow Thunder 6 Throw out a quick straight-line Kunai and immediately teleport to where it lands.

Yellow Thunderous Flight
Yellow Thunder 8 Throw out a Kunai and if it hits a target immediately teleport above them and slam them down with a powerful Rasengan dealing high damage.

Yellow Tri-Kunai Assault
Yellow Thunder 10 Throw out a Kunai and if it hits a target immediately teleport to them and then throw out two more around them rapidly teleporting and slashing them for great single target damage.

Yellow Heavenly
Yellow Thunder 25 Throw out a Kunai and if it hits a target summon a shadow clone that teleports the target away and performs a Yellow Tri-Kunai Assault on them as you charge up a Rasengan. Then, the clone brings the target back to you and you slam it down with a massive damage Rasengan.

Best Family For Yellow Thunder in Ninja Time

The best Family for Yellow Thunder is of course the Yellow Thunder Family granting you three bonuses:

  • +10 Yellow Thunder Mastery
  • +40 Agility Mastery
  • +30% Chakra

This will drastically boost your mobility with that Agility enhancing our Chakra Jumps. It also allows you to get Tri-Kunai Assault and Yellow Heavenly faster. If you don't have this Family, any Family with a general boost like Money for Elements will do if you are using Elements. Grab some free Element rolls with our Ninja Time codes.

Best Element For Yellow Thunder in Ninja Time

Yellow Thunder is mostly focused on mobility so I would look for stun or DPS oriented Elements like Ice or Fire. Boost up your Ninjutsu and you have a powerful build since Yellow Thunder's Rasengan and other damage moves scale with Ninjutsu as well. You can also double up on mobility and get some nice stun moves with Thunder. Though it would be useful for PVP, it might be overkill for PVE.

Yellow Thunder Tips in Ninja Time

Here are some useful tips for playing with Yellow Thunder in both PVE and PVP:

  • Yellow Thunder is awkward to use at first and might seem weak but it shines as you start unlocking the last three damage moves. Stick with it and practice teleporting around and it becomes one of the best PVP movesets in the game.
  • Place a lot of Yellow Kunai around the different mission areas and Yellow Teleport to them to avoid walking back and forth.
  • You can counter, interrupt, and dodge moves from other players with Yellow Thunderous Flight, Tri-Kunai Assault and Heavenly because hitting an enemy with the Kunai start-up immediately teleports you to them to perform the move.
  • Use stunning moves from Earth, Ice, or Thunder to set up the Kunai for Thunderous Flight, Tri-Kunai, and Heavenly.
  • The three damage moves have insane combo potential both in PVP and PVE so try to chain all of them together in quick succession. Just make sure you have enough Chakra to pull all three off without charging up.

That's it for my Yellow Thunder guide in Ninja Time. For more Ninja Time guides, here's how to get mounts.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Valentine's Sowrd

The Reliquary quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will send you on a search-and-find job, as you'll have to discover the sword of Sir Valentine.

However, there's a huge twist that you'll discover on the path to completing the quest. Let's take a look at how to obtain this legendary weapon, along with the shock you'll get along the way.

How to start the Reliquary quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Head to the northern area from Sedletz Monastery, and you'll find a knight camping on the hillside. He will explain to you about Sir Valentine and how he became a messiah for the commoners. If you choose to help him, a quest will begin that will require you to find Sir Valentine's weapon.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sir Valentine's Sword location

Take the road down the hill that leads you to the Monastery. You'll find an old monk on the grounds. Upon interacting with him, you'll be tasked with cleaning the holy place and stacking all the bones together. Once done, the main part of the quest will begin. (There's supposed to be an alternate path at reaching the room where the sarcophagus is located).

How to obtain Sir Valentine's Sword in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To stack the bones, you'll have to head inside the main building and start with your task. As you try to pile the bones, you'll realize that there aren't enough. You'll notice a crypt trapdoor in the middle of the room, which will lead you to an area with the remaining portions. You'll also find a sarcophagus that contains the last remains of Sir Valentine.

When you examine the sarcophagus, you'll realize that there is no sword. In fact, this is the point where I realized that there is no sword to find in the main place. However, you'll be able to create the iconic weapon on your own. To do so, you'll need to use the recipe titled 'Sword of Sir Valentine' at a forge.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sir Valentine's sarcophagus

The quality is insignificant; just ensure that the recipe you choose is the correct one. Here are all the ingredients that you'll require to complete the task.

  • Copper
  • Straight Sword Guard
  • Cow Skin
  • Coin Sword Pommel
  • Frankfurt Steel
  • Scrap Metal

You'll find most of these items from the blacksmith, so gathering them is certainly not a difficult task by any means.

Whimpering Wastes in Wuthering Waves

Whimpering Wastes is a brand-new endgame mode introduced with Wuthering Waves version 2.1, and it is quite difficult if you're not using the best Resonators for the job. Here's a list of the best ones for you to use.

Best Characters for Whimpering Waste in Wuthering Waves

Many players in the Wuthering Waves community are finding Whimpering Wastes to be rather hard to complete, even if they could completely clear Tower of Adversity without much issue. This is because Whimpering Wastes prioritizes and tests your ability to handle large groups of enemies in a wave-based format, which contrasts Tower of Adversity's single-target focus.

Some characters that can clear ToA might have trouble dealing with the hardest stages of Whimpering Wastes. Still, if you bring the right characters for the job, you'll be able to clear no problem.

Camellya

Camellya's Ultimate in Wuthering Waves
Screenshot by Destructoid

Camellya has one of the easiest-to-access nukes in the game, allowing her to wipe out waves with minimal setup instantly. Even after her nuke, Camellya boasts considerable and constant AoE DPS, meaning she has virtually no downtime, which is something most Resonators on this list cannot claim. Her ability to sustain high damage output throughout an entire battle makes her an invaluable asset in Whimpering Wastes, ensuring that each wave of enemies is efficiently cleared before they can overwhelm the player.

Jiyan

Jiyan has high AoE DPS when using his Liberation, which also gives him incredible grouping power, making him a perfect fit for Whimpering Wastes. His Liberation ability allows him to pull enemies together, creating ideal conditions for devastating AoE attacks. His fast and fluid attack patterns make him one of the best choices for those looking to deal consistent and overwhelming AoE damage to waves of enemies without much downtime.

Roccia

Roccia has the best grouping ability in the game, making her an incredible asset for Whimpering Wastes. She excels at pulling enemies together, allowing AoE-focused characters to maximize their damage potential. In addition to her unparalleled grouping mechanics, Roccia also boasts significant AoE damage output, ensuring that enemies are not only gathered but also swiftly eliminated. Her utility makes her an indispensable choice for crowd control and battlefield management in Whimpering Wastes.

Verina

Verina in Wuthering Waves

Verina is here due to her lightning-fast Concerto rotation, which allows her to enable Intro-based characters with ease. This makes her an essential support unit in Whimpering Wastes, where constant enemy waves require frequent rotations and quick access to high-damage skills. Verina's support capabilities ensure that DPS characters can shine, while also providing sustain and buffs to the team. Her presence in a team significantly enhances its overall efficiency, making fights much smoother and reducing unnecessary downtime.

Yinlin

Yinlin, as she appears in Wuthering Waves.

Yinlin does massive AoE damage consistently and is one of the few characters who gains more power the more enemies are on the field. Unlike many other characters whose damage remains static, Yinlin thrives in high-enemy-count situations, making her a natural fit for Whimpering Wastes' wave-based combat structure. Her off-field, mark-based attack patterns and unique scaling mechanics ensure that no enemy escapes unscathed, making her one of the top damage dealers for large-scale encounters.

Carlotta

Carlotta using her Ultimate in Wuthering Waves
Screenshot by Destructoid

Carlotta offers excellent crowd control, making it easier to keep enemies in check while maximizing damage output. While she doesn't have the best standalone AoE, when paired with other strong DPS AoE characters like Changli, she becomes a valuable asset to any team tackling this mode. Her synergy with AoE-heavy teammates ensures that no enemy stands a chance, as she helps create openings for high-damage bursts while maintaining control over enemy positioning.

Yangyang

Yangyang has great AoE and grouping capabilities, making her a powerful choice for Whimpering Wastes. Her ability to manipulate enemy positions while dealing strong area damage ensures that waves of enemies are efficiently managed and eliminated. Additionally, she provides excellent battery support for other DPS characters, allowing them to use their Liberations more often. Yangyang also has a fast Concerto rotation, enabling Intro-based mechanics to activate much easier, making her an incredibly versatile pick for Whimpering Wastes.

Jianxin

Jianxin in Wuthering Waves
Screenshot by Destructoid

Jianxin has great AoE and grouping capabilities, allowing her to control the battlefield while dealing consistent damage. Her ability to group enemies together makes it easier for other DPS characters to capitalize on their area attacks, making her an invaluable member of any team composition. Additionally, Jianxin provides some sustain with shields and healing, offering an extra layer of survivability that can help keep the team going through prolonged battles.

Xiangli Yao

Xiangli Yao pairs best with another DPS character to help him AoE down hordes of enemies via Quickswap rotations. He is at his best in this setup, despite being capable enough on his own. His ability to switch between attacks rapidly ensures that enemies are constantly pressured and defeated efficiently. When played optimally, he can chain devastating attacks with other characters, making him a highly flexible and reliable option for wave-based encounters.

Changli

Changli is one of the strongest AoE DPS Resonators in Whimpering Wastes, making her a must-have for clearing large groups of enemies quickly. She has multiple high-burst damage nukes that allow her to excel incredibly in this mode. Her high burst damage and strong synergy with characters like Carlotta make her an invaluable addition to any team composition focused on efficiency and damage output. With Changli in the lineup, you can expect some of the most consistent AoE damage in the game, allowing for rapid clears and smooth transitions between waves.

By using the right combination of these Resonators, you'll have a much easier time clearing Whimpering Wastes in Wuthering Waves. Make sure to build your team strategically and take advantage of each character's strengths to dominate this challenging mode.

World of Warcraft Undermine Goblin Cartels best pick

There are four goblin cartels to join in World of Warcraft: The War Within as you explore Undermine, but you'll have to pick one.

Naturally, these cartels are not the same, and they offer different rewards. Hence, you'll have to select one that matches your needs, and this guide will make it easier for you to decide.

How to Undermine Cartels Work in World of Warcraft: The War Within

As mentioned earlier, all the goblins in Undermine are looked after by four cartels: Blackwater, Bilgewater, Steamwheedle, and Venture. Once you join one of them, your World Quests will contribute towards increasing your reputation with your chosen cartel. As you level up your reputation, you'll be able to get a lot of cosmetic rewards.

To make your pick, go to the Incontinental Hotel in Kaydee Racketring and pick "I'm ready to sign a contract". You can select different cartels, which will eventually allow you to unlock all the rewards. However, you should be careful before making the decision: once you choose a cartel, it will be locked for an entire week. Whether you like it or not, you'll have to stick to your decision till you have another chance to switch.

The weekly reset happens every Tuesday in NA and every Wednesday in the EU.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXDdl5IDdKE

Which cartel should you pick?

This is one of the easiest decisions to make, as you can change your choice after every weekly reset. None of the cartels offer any rewards that implement in-game advantage. The idea is to unlock as many cosmetic rewards as you can.

If I were you, I would focus on the cartel I like the most. Once I have unlocked all the available rewards, I will switch to the next one. Ultimately, you can choose any cartel you want at the start and walk your way toward unlocking all the available rewards.

rune slayer crafting guide

Like any good MMORPG, Rune Slayer isn't only about leveling and picking the best race-class combo. How powerful you are is directly determined by your items, and unfortunately, not all of them drop from mobs and bosses—you must craft them on your own. But how do you craft items in the first place? Where to get the mats? We'll answer all this and much more in our Rune Slayer crafting guide

Rune Slayer Crafting Guide: What You Need to Craft Items

If you've played FFXIV, WoW or another Roblox MMO, the crafting system in Rune Slayer is pretty straightforward. You need the following:

Blacksmith: This NPC is key for crafting basic items and putting your first couple of recipes to the test.

rune slayer crafting guide blacksmith
Screenshot by Destructoid

Ore: You can gather ore by mining, for which you need a pickaxe. To start gathering ore in Rune Slayer, you should farm mobs in the Wilderness (the area south of Wayshire) and complete the quests. The mats you'll get should be enough to buy you a basic pickaxe. Then, head back to the wilderness and go to the first hill on the left. You'll find three Ore Deposits and some Vitalshrooms at the top.

Forge: Located just left of the blacksmith, you can dump your ores and smelt them to create the mads needed for crafting.

Craft table: Unlike the Blacksmith, the table is meant only for advanced crafts. You'll get to it around levels 5-7.

All Rune Slayer Crafting Recipes

If you're wondering how to unlock Rune Slayer crafting recipes, the answer is surprisingly simple—just play the game.

All recipes in the game are random drops, with the rarer ones having a lower drop late and being exclusive to bosses and higher-level areas. If you want to gather resources more easily, grab one of our Rune Slayer codes and you'll get a boost. Now, let's take a look at all the recipes available in the game, what they require and where they drop.

Rune Player Weapon Crafting Recipes Lifted

First things first, you should craft a stronger weapon after exploring the Wilderness. You'll need it for more efficient farming, and I'd advise you to always prioritize weapons over tools. Here are the weapon crafting recipes in Rune Slayer

Best Way to Farm Resources in Rune Slayer

As surprising as it sounds, there's no magic strategy to farm resources in Rune Slayer at lightning speed. You only need to be cognizant of all the caves, hidden areas and trees around you. I approach every area with a plan—mobs get killed first, I look for the ore, then I pick up the plants and finally, I chop down the trees. Because the mobs are cleared, I can go straight for the boss, if there is one.
