Oh, and you can now see exactly what's changed for yourself thanks to Tainted Grail's new Steam demo.

Fancy a bit of Left 4 Dead in your Warhammer 40,000: Darktide? Oh, well that's convenient, as the game's Nightmare and Visions update just dropped today, adding in Mortis Trials, a new wave-based game mode. The wave-based nature really is what it says on the tin: scores of enemies come after you round after round, but in this mode you'll get Indulgences, which is just lorespeak for upgrades you can unlock on different runs.

The place for all of the best visual novels and dating sims used to be the PlayStation Vita, but following its tragic demise the Nintendo Switch has more than stepped up to the plate. Of all the modern consoles, the Switch is the place to go to play games with romance options, meaning that players are spoiled for choice. If you've been browsing the Switch's library looking for your next dating sim visual novel to play, we have ten of our favorites that we want to recommend.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

Screenshot of Natsuki hugging Yuri from behind from Doki Doki Literature Club Plus
Image via Team Salvato

The original Doki Doki Literature Club launched in 2017, so it's likely that you know the twist by now. Aside from being a romance visual novel, it's also a horror game with plenty of meta, and fourth-wall breaking techniques that work to make you feel uneasy, and chill your bones. However, the horror elements of Doki Doki Literature Club make for a more touching and overall more emotional story and game.

The original was free-to-play, but the Switch version Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! adds so many more touching moments. There are a number of additional episodes that show our four main characters interacting with each other outside of the titular literature club. You get to learn more about their backstories, as well as their relationships to each other. Doki Doki is so much more than a visual novel, and for those who love puzzles and easter eggs, you'll find a lot more by exploring the in-game PC.

Collar X Malice

Screenshot of the protagonist and Mineo shouting at each other from Collar X Malice
Images via Otomate

On the surface Collar X Malice is your standard otome visual novel, but the themes are intriguing enough to carry the story by itself even if you aren't into dudes. Collar X Malice is set in a time where mass police and government incompetence has led to the rise of a vigilante group, Adonis, which has pledged to sort out the crime and inequality that is rampant throughout the city. The group holds an eye-for-an-eye mentality, and Collar X Malice brings up the moral dilemma of how to get justice when the system doesn't work.

Our protagonist is a cop living at a time when confidence in the police is almost zero. She approaches a private agency and asks them for help getting to the bottom of the current vigilantism crisis. What's interesting is that the game doesn't tell you what to believe, instead it is portrayed as the morally gray topic it truly is. Each route leads to the true ending, giving you a sense of accomplishment as you make your way through the story. One of the best overarching stories in any romance game.

Chaos;Child

Key Art from the Chaos;Child Double Pack
Image via Mages

Chaos;Child is part of what I like to call the semicolon series that includes the hugely popular Steins;Gate. Just like Steins;Gate it has an intriguing story you can enjoy without the romance, but there are also romantic undertones between our protagonist, and the many women in his life. In Japan they released a side story that is exclusively a dating sim to tie in with the game called Chaos;Child Love Chu Chu. However, you can experience romance without learning another language.

Chaos;Child is set in a world where several people have awoken to their psychic abilities. While these superhuman talents should be seen as a benefit, a serial killer is on the loose targeting those who have these powers. Knowing several people with these special abilities, our protagonist is desperate to solve the murders before everyone he loves is gone. Just like Steins;Gate it has multiple endings, and you'll want to play through several times to see all of the positive and negative outcomes.

Nurse Love Addiction

Screenshot of two characters kissing from Nurse Love Addiction
Image via Kogado Studio

There are two games in this series available on Nintendo Switch, but they are both stand alone tales, and Nurse Love Addiction is our favorite of the two. The Nurse Love stories are yuri dating sims, meaning that they are based on the relationships between two women, and they play very differently to your standard heterosexual romance. Each route and romance shows a deep tenderness, and is (mostly) cemented in reality rather than an emotional rollercoaster.

Our protagonist Asuka is floating aimlessly through life like a jellyfish on the waves. She decides to join the nursing school where her younger sister studies. She even moves into the same dorm as her sister as she feels like she can't manage on her own. It's not just about the romantic partnerships that she forges along the way, but Asuka's personal growth as she tries to stand on her own for the first time.

The House in Fata Morgana

Key art of the Maid from The House in Fata Morgana lying in a field of roses
Image via Novectacle

The House in Fata Morgana is very strict on the meaning of visual novel. There is almost no player interaction with the game, but the story is so intricately woven, and expansive that you don't need to have an impact on it to improve the experience. The master of the house wakes up with no knowledge of their past, and the manor's maid by their side. She guides you through the doors of the titular house telling various stories from throughout the domicile's history.

The thread between the stories is a young person with albinism who appears in every tale no matter the time period. You have to figure out how your past ties to the house's other residents, and why history has repeated itself time after time. It is both one of the longest and highest-rated visual novels of all time, and once you have played it for yourself, you'll see why it is worth every word.

Muv-Luv

Screenshot of Sumika eating a burger from Muv-Luv
Image via age

People say that the Muv-Luv trilogy reaches its stride with the second game Muv-Luv Unlimited, however, we recommend that players start where it all begins with Muv-Luv. The first game in the series is a simple slice-of-life adventure where our protagonist Takeru can choose between the many women in his life. The main two love interests are Takeru's childhood best friend, and a rich but sheltered girl who is new to town, but there are other girls in his class he can date too.

This simple setup is vital for fully understanding and enjoying the next two entries, Muv-Luv Unlimited and Muv-Luv Alternative. It introduces you to most of the characters to the story, and lets you see Takeru's normal life before things go off the deep end. Without spoiling what is in store, it's an epic adventure dating sim that is worth sinking a hundred hours or so into.

Gnosia

Key art from Gnosia
Image via Petit Depotto

If you've ever played Among Us you know the basic plot of Gnosia. You are out on a space station with various others, and some of them are infected with Gnosia, which turns them against their crewmates. You use social deduction to figure out who has the disease and put them in cryogenic stasis before they wreak havoc on the ship. The twist here is that you will be reliving the experience over and over with increasingly more complicated mechanics.

Not everything continues between loops, but your knowledge of each crewmate, the things they like and the things they do will expand each time you meet them. This means that every loop your deductions – in theory – become more accurate as you get to know how people work, and how they would act in certain situations. Once you have met all the characters Gnosia opens up, and you can control different factors in each loop and get closer to certain cohabitees.

Jack Jeanne

Image of two characters dancing from Jack Jeanne
Screenshot by Siliconera

One of our favorite recent otome games, we almost considered putting it on the list of dating sims that aren't visual novels. Unlike many of the other games on this list, Jack Jeanne has a number of gameplay modes that don't surround player choice, most notably the numerous rhythm sections. You play a promising upcoming actor, but the best acting school where you live only accepts men, and you're a woman. However, amazed by your talent the director approaches you and asks you to enroll while disguising your gender.

In an all boys acting school, males have to take on the female roles in the performances. This is why students are split into the mascs, the Jacks, and the femmes, the Jeannes. Because of this the characters of Jack Jeanne are used to people challenging the typical gender norms, and a new normal emerges in this enclosed society. The play on gender, and inclusion of rhythm game elements leads to a truly unique otome experience.

Slay the Princess

Screenshot of the Princess after she has been slain in Slay the Princess
Image via Siliconera

Unlike Jack Jeanne the gameplay in Slay the Princess focuses heavily on the choices you make. That being said, it gives you seemingly endless options to choose from. Each fork in the road has literally dozens of options you can choose from, making you feel more in charge of where the story goes than most other games. Each decision you make has a drastic outcome on the story in a way that feels refreshing when compared to the majority of dating sims.

There are only three characters in Slay the Princess: the Princess, the Narrator, and you. The Princess changes based on things you say, how you treat her, and how you react to her. Sometimes you go past the point of no return, and there is no way to undo the things you have done, but that is the point. While the Princess and you wrestle over and over in ways that can range from sweet, to slaughterous, to sad, it truly is a love story.

VA-11 HALL-A

Screenshot of Dorothy crying with the drink mixing station on the right side from VA-11 HALL-A
Image via Sukeban Games

VA-11 HALL-A's catchphrase is "It's time to mix drinks and change lives" and that describes the game precisely. You play Jill, a bartender in a futuristic saloon, whose job is to make drinks and talk to customers. Players can influence the story by giving the customers the drinks they want, rather than the ones they ask for, because in the world of VA-11 HALL-A the customer isn't always right.

It's a deep character study surrounding not just Jill, and the affection she holds for her boss, but each person that comes to the bar, and the effect that just having someone to talk to has on their lives. Outside of the story, you can use the wages from the bar to design your room and make things feel more homey, making Jill just a little more upbeat. It's a story about caring for others, but also taking care of yourself.

geoguessr steam

A Steam version of GeoGuessr will appear in Early Access in April 2025. The page for the game does not yet list the price.

According to the developer comments on the Steam page, GeoGuessr will be in Early Access so that it can evolve the game alongside its players, as the game is "best experienced with a thriving community." The full version of the game will include new game modes and customization options. Depending on player feedback, the game should be in Early Access for about six months, so the full version should come out in October 2025.

After the game launches in Early Access, it'll mostly focus on Solo and casual Team Duels. There will also be a progression system. From the screenshots and videos on the Steam page, we can see avatars that you can customize for yourself, so it's likely that you will have to earn parts for these avatars via said progression system.

GeoGuessr launched in 2013 as a browser-based geography game in which players must deduce a location using a photo from Google Street View. You can either play by yourself, or compete against others. Like the Animal Crossing boom, GeoGuessr became very popular during the COVID-19 pandemic when people were in quarantine, and it started using a subscription model in 2024.

GeoGuessr is readily available on Internet browsers, and the Steam version will enter Early Access in April 2025.

After the cutscene, exit the Koholasaurus form and indwell the nearby Qucusaurus. Next, leap into the air and follow the quest navigation to head to the top of the Skyfire Circlet. It is best to fly over the floating islands instead of going directly to the top since you can refill the Phlogiston bar and fly longer. In addition, it is highly advised to stay in the Qucusaurus form as the Phlogiston gas can drain your character's HP.

Once you reach the quest destination, a cutscene will begin in which a Qucusaur will steal the strange mechanism and dive into the crater.

In most cases, the maintenance lasts around three to four hours, giving you time to prepare for Chapter 6, Season 3 to begin. While occasional delays happen, they don't usually last more than an hour or two, so watch Epic Games' server status page for more updates as the season's end draws closer.

lava dragon statue unlock guide

Lava Dragon Statue is a world boss in Genshin Impact that drops character ascension materials. It is located inside an underground cavern that can be tricky to find when visiting for the first time.

This article briefly explains how to unlock the Pyro boss in Natlan and tips to beat it.

Lava Dragon Statue boss location guide

Lava dragon statue location and route
Screenshot by Destructoid

Teleport to the waypoint southeast of the Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker boss in "Masters of the Night-Wind" and head west to find a large hole in the ground. Next, jump in and interact with the Spiritscone to indwell a Tatankasaur before using its skill to break the Pulverite and enter the cave.

Finally, keep moving forward until you reach the Lava Dragon Statue boss. Make sure to unlock the nearby teleport waypoint on the way so you can use it later whenever you want to challenge the boss.

Tips to beat the Lava Dragon Statue

The new Natlan boss has mechanics similar to those of the Avatars of Lava enemies. You can hit the boss with enough Pyro attacks and cause it to change form. You can use this opportunity to unleash your strongest attacks and defeat the world boss. Another option is to just use brute force to beat it before collecting your rewards.

Rewards

Here is a list of all the rewards you can obtain by defeating the boss:

  • Sparkless Statue Core
  • Agnidus Agate Sliver
  • Agnidus Agate Fragment
  • Agnidus Agate Chunk
  • Agnidus Agate Gemstone
  • Adventurer artifact set
  • Berserker artifact set
  • Instructor artifact set
  • Prayers for Illumination artifact set
  • Gladiator's Finale artifact set
  • Wanderer's Troupe artifact set

Claiming the rewards will consume 40 Original Resin.

Sparkless Statue Core is a character ascension material. As of this writing, only Varesa needs this item for her ascension. Meanwhile, the remaining drops are regular artifact sets and elemental stones for leveling up Pyro characters.

Fortnite henchmen walkie talkie

It's always a joy to hear Fortnite characters have custom voice lines within and outside quests. This time, Fletcher Kane and his henchmen have some time in the spotlight as they exchange orders and intel through walkie-talkies.

Since we're fighting against Fletcher Kane and his henchmen, our goal is to eavesdrop on these walkie-talkies to learn more about their operations. Let's dive into the list of every walkie-talkie location in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2.

All henchmen walkie talkie locations in Fortnite

There are seven walkie-talkies you can find around the map. You'll encounter them in five major landmarks, with ones like Lonewolf Lair and Masked Meadows containing two each. Here's a complete list of every walkie-talkie for Fortnite's Espionage quest:

Shiny Shafts

You'll find Shiny Shafts' walkie-talkie inside the large tunnel on its south side. Using the grindable rail to enter it, jump off and head into one of the small rooms, following the white exclamation mark icon until you spot your first walkie on a desk.

Outlaw Oasis

Next is Outlaw Oasis' walkie-talkie. You'll find it inside a building near Valentina. As you enter this building, turn toward the wooden platforms on the ground to spot the walkie.

Crime City

Crime City has one walkie-talkie you can find inside the bank vault building. As you enter this main structure, head up to its third floor to find the walkie on a desk next to a PC monitor.

Lonewolf Lair - Outside

There are two walkie-talkies in Lonewolf Lair. The first is on top of a bench outside of the mansion. Mine was bugged during my initial playthrough, but this is just a visual glitch that won't affect your progress as long as you interact with the spot.

Lonewolf Lair - Inside

After collecting the walkie-talkie above, head inside Lonewolf Lair's mansion and climb up to the second floor. You'll find it on a desk near a laptop. Watch out for other players attempting to break into the POI's bank vault.

Masked Meadows - Outside

Masked Meadows also has two walkie-talkies you can find. The first is inside a building next to the bank vault's mansion. It'll appear as a small structure next to it, where you'll spot the walkie atop another desk.

Masked Meadows - Underground

Last but not least is Masked Meadows' underground network. Using the tunnel entrances scattered around the POI, head underground until you reach a large loot room to find the walkie-talkie atop a table full of gold bars.

Collecting all seven walkie-talkies and eavesdropping on Fletcher Kane's conversation will complete Fortnite's Espionage quest, rewarding you with some valuable XP.

    • 500 gems
    • 1,000 EXP

Open your map to discover the Wilderness, Mines, and the Outer Walls. Once you've conquered them all, you'll earn the Boots of Swiftness via the Dressing Room.

Transport to the Outer Walls to go against the deadly Ghasts. Approach the gate and whip out your bow and arrow to kill anything that comes out of the portals. The Farm Mobs, not Crops quest, works with any location with enemies inside. Use your bow and arrow or sword to eliminate 200 mobs. It'll undoubtedly take some time, but it'll all be worth it once you get the Yearn Cape and the Mushroom Hat from the Dressing Room.

Fortunately, other players will help you out here, where you can cover all sides of the Payload. Keep the Cart at 40 percent health, or you'll lose out on progress for this objective.

How to complete Low on Iron quest

Iron Golem at the Outer Walls

While you're defending the Outer Walls, you'll see a few Iron Golems on the ground. The Piglins will try to take them down, and it's best to use your bow and arrow to clear hordes of them (swords won't do much in this minigame). You only need two Iron Golems alive, so don't worry too much if enemies kill off one or more.

Complete Anime Card Clash guide and tier list

There are more than 150 cards in Anime Card Clash, and each one has a unique ability and several variations. Even though you would assume that the rarer cards are more powerful, that isn't always the case. So, if you want to find out everything there is to cards and which ones stand out from the rest, follow our ultimate Anime Card Clash card guide and tier list below.

Card Types and Versions Explained

Preview of the Deck menu in Anime Card Clash with all sorts of cards in it
You can recognize different card variations by their border color

Each card in Anime Card Clash has an ability and a certain amount of damage and HP. There are four different variations of each card, with each having a distinct border color. Essentially, every card has four strength tiers. You can merge cards to "upgrade" a card to a higher tier, but more on this later in the guide. Now, here are the four card tiers and their stat and rarity scaling:

  • Basic: Basic Stats, Basic Rarity
  • Gold: Basic Stats x4, Basic Rarity x100
  • Rainbow: Gold Stats x4, Gold Rarity x100
  • Secret: Rainbow Stats x4, Rainbow Rarity x100

Anime Card Clash Tier Lists

Anime Card Clash has a huge variety of cards. So, we decided to separate them into three categories: rare Regular cards, common Regular cards, and Support cards. Based on the same categorization, we made three different tier lists. Each Anime Card Clash tier list below ranks cards from best to worst primarily based on the strength of their abilities.

For the most part, we didn't let base stats influence the ranking that much. Obviously, rarer cards have higher stats. Thus, they are stronger than more common cards on a base level. However, that stat gap between cards gets reduced when you upgrade cards to higher tiers. With that in mind, each Anime Card Clash tier list below is there to help you choose which cards to include in your party out of the best and rarest ones you currently have.

To showcase the logic behind every Anime Card Clash tier list further in the guide, we can compare the gold version of the Diamond Warrior (25,000,000 Rarity) and the basic version of the Limitless Master (20,000,000 Rarity). Gold Diamond Warrior and Basic Limitless Master have similar stats. However, the Diamond Warrior has a way better ability. Thus, the Diamond Warrior will be positioned higher on the tier list.

Anime Card Clash Regular Card Tier List for Infinite Tower and PvP (500,000+)

Anime Card Clash tier list of regular cards with rarity 500,000 and above, made via TierMaker that goes like this: S+-tier: Soul Queen, Awakened Limitless Master, Soul King, Awakened Pale Demon Lord, Combat Giant, Eternal Dragon, Armored Giant, Compass Demon, The Impure Ghost, Beast Giant; S-tier: Awakened Frost Demon, Cosmic Villain, Awakened Six-Eyed Slayer, Biscuit Warrior, Lunar Guardian, Shadow Duelist, Blade Captain, Berserker Shinigami, Awakened Earth's Strongest, Genie Commander, Awakened Promised Child; A-tier: Awakened Galactic Tyrant, Awakened Prideful Prince, Null, Cursed Fist, Eternal Mage, King of Curses, Forest Sage, Final Shinigami, Mochi Emperor, Blue Slime, Crimson Empress; B-tier: Cursed Doll, Terrible Tornado, Limitless Master, Rika's Blessing, Red Pilot, Blood Fiend, Namekian Sage, Survey Commander, Divine Guide, Candy Master, Ultimate Warrior, Ice Empress; C-tier: Blade Warrior, Ice Empress Shinigami, Esper Prodigy, Love Hashira, Six Paths of Pain, Body Switcher, Time Wizard, Childish Demon, Thunder Demon, Black Flame, Awakened Shadow Summoner, Juice Queen; D-tier: Seven Sea King, White Panther, Red Dragon Emperor, White Dragon Emperor, Insect Hashira, Red Emperor, Sun Lion, Snake Empress, Bijuu Beast, Mist Hashira, Dragon King, Stone Hashira; F-tier: Galactic Tyrant, Destroyer Deity, Nekomata, Sun Deity, Awakened Dark Avenger, Frost Demon, Sun Blaze Shinigami, Healing Fist, Sword Saint, Earth's Strongest, Bald Hero.
Regular cards of rarity 500,000 and above ranked — Image via TierMaker

To differentiate between "Rare" and "Common" cards, we drew the Rarity line at 1/500,000 chance. Most of the Anime Card Clash cards listed in the above tier list are useful in basically every game mode. However, some rarer ones are overkill for Story and Raids. For that reason, the cards are ranked based on how powerful they are in scenarios where you are fighting against multiple cards at the same time, like in the Infinite Tower and PvP.

Anime Card Clash Regular Card Tier List for Story and Raids (1–499,999)

Anime Card Clash tier list of all regular cards whose rarity is below 500,000, made via TierMaker and it goes like this: S+-tier: Ice Dragon, Masked Emperror, Straw Hat, Diamond Warrior; S-tier; Deranged Assassin, Crimson Eyes, Star Fist, Half-Demon Swordsman, Golden Vampire, Dark Avenger, Peaceful Swordsman; A-tier: Pale Demon Lord, Copy Ninja, Crimson Vampire, Lost Hunter, Lunar Angel, The Irregular, Bamboo Demon, Unstoppable Fist, Blood Fiend, Six-Eyed Slayer; B-tier: Sacred Ronin, Awakened Wild Hunter, Titania, Psycho Stalker, Surgeon of Death, Homeroom Teacher, Muscle Head, Black Swordsman, Crow Master, Light Admiral; C-tier: White Ghoul, Snake Hashira, Golden Wind, Ripple Knight, Death Log, Thunder Flash, Prideful Prince, Shadow Summoner, Water Hashira, Black Demon, Golden King; D-tier: Promised Child, Blade Rebel, Cat Burglar, Stark Gunner, Wild Hunter, Hero of Light, Metal Alchemist, Fire Dragon, Chainsaw Fiend, Space Cowboy, Science King, Green Bomber
Cards from 1–499,999 rarity ranked — Image via TierMaker

Both Raids and Story in ACC have one thing in common: you fight against only one card. Because of that, your party composition will mainly include cards that either inflict long-duration status effects or deal damage equal to a percentage of the opponent's maximum HP. So, the above tier list ranks common cards based on how useful they are at dealing with one card only.

By clearing the Story and Raids in ACC, you will get decent rare cards. Thus, every other game mode will become more accessible to you. Later on, you should form a party that is suited for fighting opponents that have the same number of cards as you. For example, that is the case in the Infinite Tower and PvP.

Anime Card Clash Support Card Tier List

Anime Card Clash tier list of support cards made via TierMaker that goes as follows: S-tier: Galaxy Hero, Slayer Mark, Shinobi Cells, Limitless; A-tier: Sacred Art Uzumaki, Sealed Cube, Heart of the Cards, Fallen Knight, Beast Contract; B-tier: Froststorm Blade, Null Blade, Red Thorn, Mech Contract; C-tier: Binding Light, Mystic Spheres, Vase of Greed, Berserk Mode, Dragon Sin Blades, Music Idol; D-tier: Fox Cloak, Ninja Vest, Holy Staff, Cursed Ledger, Substitution Log
All Support Cards ranked from best to worst — Image via TierMaker

The support card tier list above is applicable to every game mode in Anime Card Clash. However, there are a few exceptions to it, like the Shinobi Cells card, which has no use when fighting against a single card. In general, support cards that boost your stats and let you negate or survive enemy attacks are the strongest in Anime Card Clash.

List of Cards in Anime Card Clash

Below, you can find a list of all cards in Anime Card Clash, along with their rarity, ability, pros and cons, and their base damage and HP. We decided to classify ACC cards based on how you can obtain them, so we formed these categories:

  • Regular and Support cards — Obtainable from the start.
  • Pack-specific cards — Obtainable when you equip specific card packs.
  • Boss cards — Obtainable from regular rolls after you defeat Bosses in Story mode.
  • Moon Cycle cards — Obtainable only during specific Moon cycles.
  • Raid Boss cards — Obtainable in exchange for Boss Shards at the Raid exchange NPC.
  • Quest cards — Obtainable by completing quests.

Combat scene in The First Berserker: Khazan

Crafting is an important task in The First Berserker: Khazan, but you only get access to it later in the game.

Like in most video games, crafting depends on the use of certain materials that you find on your grind. You can then craft different items with those resources that will help you clear in-game content and complete the missions. This guide will help you understand the process and master the use of the resources.

How to start crafting in The First Berserker: Khazan

The first step towards unlocking crafting is to defeat Aratra, who is the fifth boss in the game. Defeating Aratra will give you access to Qazumaka, the blacksmith. Qazumaka will tell you about his hammer and start the Blacksmith's Heirloom side quest. Complete the quest, get the hammer, and you'll unlock the process of crafting.

To craft something, go to the blacksmith, and make sure to have the correct blueprint, and the required resources.

How does crafting work in The First Berserker: Khazan

You can craft armor and weapons with the use of Armor Set scrolls. To craft the items, you'll have to get the required blueprints. You can find them by grinding the game, and most are hidden in specific locations. Aside from the blueprints, you'll need crafting materials. Most of them can be obtained by breaking down your existing equipment.

The rare ones will require you to farm specific bosses, as these items are harder to find. You can concentrate on this aspect in the late game, so it's not something that you need to bother with immediately.

That said, always make time to clear bosses whenever possible. Dealing with these enemies won't be easy, but the time and energy will be worth the effort in the long run. You can make your job easier by using a weapon that suits your playstyle well.

To get more resources, you'll have to defeat the bosses, and leveling up will be crucial for that. Make sure to check out our guide to be on top of the game's leveling system and carve your way through the difficult set of enemies you encounter on the journey.
