     Best gaming laptop 2025

What is the best gaming laptop? The answer to that question depends on your priorities, as well as your budget. The latest laptops pack Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 GPUs, alongside AMD Ryzen 9000 and Intel Core Ultra CPUs. Higher-spec models will typically run hot and loud under full load, as the components inside them pull the most power and require more active cooling.

Other factors such as the laptop's screen tech also greatly impact the experience of using it, as well as the price, with the resolution, refresh rate, and panel type all affecting usability, and new OLED panels costing considerably more money. We're constantly testing the latest gaming laptops so that you can buy the best one for your budget and needs.

Huge new medieval game is even bigger than Mordhau, already smashed funding goal

Bannerlords is getting a new DLC, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is still carving up Steam, and Manor Lords is becoming bigger and better thanks to dozens of successive updates. All told, medieval games are going strong, and if you've been eager for multiplayer hack-and-slash warfare in the vein of Mordhau and For Honor, today is definitely your day. Created by a small team of just over 20 people, Fiefdom pits up to 100 players against one another in sword-and-shield, magical, and even naval combat, and after just five days, it's already obliterated its funding goal.

How to install a GPU: your gaming graphics card upgrade made simple

How do you install a graphics card? Whether you're planning to build a whole new PC from scratch, or simply swap out your creaky old GPU for a shiny new model, there are several factors to consider. The actual process of physically slotting a graphics card into your motherboard is simple enough, but you also need to think about your chosen card's power requirements, and even whether there's room for it in your case. We're here to help you avoid any pitfalls, though, and you make your GPU upgrade easy.

If you're new to the whole process of constructing a new game rig, your first stop should be our intricately detailed guide on how to build a gaming PC, where we take you through every single step of the process. For GPU recommendations, you can also check our guide to the best graphics card, where we take you through all the models we recommend at a range of prices, including some of the latest Nvidia GeForce cards, as well as some AMD Radeon options.

If you don't know what GPU you're currently using, you can simply press Windows key + R and type "dxdiag" into the search bar. You then just need to click on the Display tab and all the details of your GPU will appear. You can then search for your GPU model online, and see how it compares to other models using online reviews. I recommend checking out my Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 review if you're looking for the fastest performance possible, and my Radeon RX 9070 XT review if you're looking to spend around $600.

Genshin Impact tier list - the best characters in 5.5

Looking for a Genshin Impact tier list? There are currently 97 Genshin Impact characters available, providing you with a wide variety of candidates to construct your dream team. But with so many weapons, elementals, talents, ascension bonuses, and constellation upgrades, finding your favorites can be challenging.

Don't let the placement of the characters on our Genshin Impact tier list deter you from pulling on the next character banner. While base stats and elemental abilities are important, the value of a character also depends on personal playstyle, available weapons and artifacts, and team composition. It doesn't matter if your favorite Genshin Impact character is on one of the lower tiers; you can still make it work with our recommended Genshin Impact builds. Being on a lower tier in the free PC game means that there are better alternatives, or the character needs a very specific build or team to shine. We've spent hundreds of hours trying different variations of teams in Spiral Abyss to establish who the best characters are in Genshin Impact.

Nvidia's new GeForce GPU drivers cause problems with inZOI and Khazan, say devs

In what has already been a very rough time for Nvidia's graphics card stability, fresh issues have arisen. Now, the developers of inZOI and The First Beserker Khazan have recommended reverting your drivers to older versions due to instability issues that cropped up with the latest driver.

Nvidia might still be dominating the GPU market, but the new RTX 5000 launch has been criticized for a calamity of errors and nightmarish prices for the new GPUs. In our RTX 5090 review, we acknowledge that it is the best graphics card for 4K gaming, and that Nvidia DLSS 4's multi-frame gen is amazing, but many gamers who got their hands on a card (likely at well-above MSRP), risked running into issues including missing ROPs or black screens caused by driver updates.

The Sinking City is getting a free remaster, and you can be in its sequel

There's something so alluring about H.P Lovecraft's work. Whether it's the contemporary turn-of-the-century setting, or sheer enormity of his cosmic creations, when Cthulhu calls, I can't help but listen. The Sinking City 2 and, of course, its predecessor, blend all of that eerie goodness with old-fashioned horror game mechanics and L.A. Noire-esque investigation, and it quickly cemented itself as one of my favorite indie series. Now that we've finally got a little more insight into the sequel, however, Frogwares has confirmed that the original game is getting a full remaster ahead its sister's launch, and I can't wait.

Doom The Dark Ages nails the essentials, but some of its new ideas fall short

If you're an FPS lover like myself, it's almost impossible not to get excited about a new Doom game. With Doom The Dark Ages, I've had my fingers crossed for something truly special. While I enjoyed Doom Eternal, iD Software has billed The Dark Ages as a departure from its fast-paced predecessor, featuring movement and gunplay more in line with traditional Doom. Throw in promises of more on-screen storytelling with high-quality cutscenes, a gnarly medieval aesthetic, some wild set pieces featuring mechs and dragons, and a freaking chainsaw shield, and you've got yourself an epic-sounding experience. After playing two and a half hours of Doom The Dark Ages at a preview event in Germany, I can say that iD has delivered on most of these promises to create a meaty, satisfying, stunning shooter, even if some of its new ideas didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Blending Cyberpunk 2077 with hybrid combat, brutal new roguelike hits Steam soon

There's a great mission near the beginning of Cyberpunk 2077, where you have to pick up the flathead robot from the cyberware-obsessed Maelstrom gang. Everyone in Night City has implants, but when you come face to face with Royce, Maelstrom's hyper-violent leader, the whole front of his head is missing, replaced with a robotic, cycloptic laser. It's when CDPR's world starts to feel authentically dystopian - technology has driven people to the extreme. However, if you are curious to know where this rumor originated and how it got so big, we've done a little digging to uncover one of the sources of the speculation. InZoi's early access release isn't a particularly good fit for the Steam Deck, primarily because it isn't a particularly good game. Even before you can dig into its sterile person-pushing, though, trying to run InZoi on Valve's hanhdheld involves involuntarily headbutting the kinds of compatibility problems and weird workarounds that haven't been common to the Deck since its early days in 2022.

This is frustrating in itself, and doubly so knowing that despite all those years of maturing, the Steam Deck doesn't really have a heavyweight life sim that slots in seamlessly to the handheld format. The Sims series, InZoi's clear inspiration and main rival, can be monkey-wrenched into playability, but even the most recent Sims 4 needs a community-made control modification to function – and that's more about replicating mouse controls on the trackpads than truly optimising for controller-style inputs. InZoi wants to look like the very model of a modern life simulator, but its own lack of portable rapport is, at best, a missed opportunity to plug this gap.

I recently got three hours of hands-on time with Doom: The Dark Ages, which included a ride on dragonback and a fist fight with a massive mech. But one other sequence saw me wrecking demon lads in one of the more expansive, explorey levels this newest FPS is promising. For a lark, I decided to throw all the difficulty sliders up in an effort to hurt myself spiritually and physically. In doing so I discovered there are some interesting options for players who want a brutal challenge. I also recorded it, so you can see how chaotic, silly, and abrupt it can get (and so you can say "I'd do better" than the disgusting journalist).

Ahead of this Friday's big content update for Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom have put out a new blog from director Yuya Tokuda, detailing more scaly, slimy, and shiny additions. The main theme here is "harder fights", with arch-tempered variants of monsters besides the announced Ray Dau. But there's plenty of other planned smaller tweaks and goodies, including a reduction in VRAM usage coming "very soon".

Friday's update includes long n' purple Mizutsune, plus repeatable fights with Zoh Shia, previously a one-off story monster. There's also a new gathering hub, which I'm especially happy about - I miss what I once referred to as "Astera's gung-ho trumpetbastardry". I want to see people and I want to see lights, and I also want to see virtuosic cat chefs.

If you handed me a deck of revolting Tarot cards and told me to heal a bunch of sickly, deranged medieval peasants, I would probably attempt to sew the cards together into bandages. Perhaps I would offer the nicer ones to children instead of lollipops, to distract them while I apply the leeches (lollipops did exist in the Middle Ages, I'm shocked to discover, but mostly in noble circles). Bloodletter has grander ambitions.

In this whispery, crazy-eyed deckbuilder, you'll play Tarot-style cards to purge foul spirits who are seeking to possess and kill your neighbours. "Evil entities have crept into the hearts of the common folk, who teeter upon the brink of madness and death," the developers explain. "Only thy bathhouse stands as a bastion against the creeping corruption." It sounds like a mixture of Pathologic and Black Book and Pentiment. Here be'est the trailer.

An alleged cryptocurrency scam that models itself on Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launching on Steam this week, despite Valve's promises that they do not allow NFT or blockchain games to exist on the platform. Paradise has been advertised as an action game set in a sunny city which will allow players to drive cars, shoot enemies, and earn money. But its in-game currency is based on blockchain technology, and some reports allege it is a scam based in Russia which does not allow its crypto investors to withdraw funds. Shadows currently features four difficulty options for both stealth and combat, ranging from 'story' to 'expert', as well as the 'guaranteed assassination' toggle from recent previous entries, which ensures that when you stab a man in the neck with a large sharp piece of metal, he does not react with a blasé "ow! Coffee Stain remain dissatisfied with Satisfactory, their first-person factory sim, despite Matt Cox giving it the Cox's Orange Pippin Award in our Satisfactory 1.0 review. They're just about to release update 1.1 into public testing. This adds Photo Mode, programmable personnel elevators, and a bunch of twisty furnishings.

One thing it doesn't add is rain, which used to exist in Satisfactory but was removed because it wasn't working properly. Apparently, Coffee Stain need to do an Unreal Engine upgrade before they can restore the missing precipitation. Many players are sad about this. Ah, I think it's kind of poetic that there are people in the Satisfactory community who wish only to be rained upon.

"Alien Ant Farm or we boycott," reads the top comment on Activision's recent reveal of the next wave of tracks for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 - a response to the revelation that the upcoming remasters have both been hit and struck by some soundtrack changes, which hasn't gone down completely smoothly with fans. You could almost say they feel making alterations to such classics is criminal. OK, I'll stop. For now.

It turns out these changes come straight from the large Hawk himself. "It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in THPS3+4 OST," he wrote on Instagram, as spotted by Very Gary Computing. "I'm hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride. More to come… both old and new."

Rumours of a Final Fantasy IX remake have been remaking themselves part of the discourse for several years now, sparked by the announcement of an animated series and a Nvidia leak back in 2021, and stoked by manifestations of several other Squeenix games from the leaked Geforce list. Now, Square Enix have added a dedicated 25th anniversary page flogging figures, spectacles, and other charming tat to their website.

The JRPG's 25th cake day isn't until July 7th, but this new page lines up with claims from Oblivion remake leaker NateTheHate that we're getting closer to an announcement, if not a release. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has also claimed that the Final Final Tactics remaster is still being worked on - a rumour that's been twinned with the FF9 one for about as long as it's been floating about.

OK you gutless punks, you've had this coming for a long time and now, you're gonna get it. Time to pay the piper, you miserable freaks. Oh, excuse me! I should explain. We've been doing some research into boosting site engagement, and it turns out the quickest way to engage people is to abuse and threaten them. We've also been reading up on seduction techniques - frankly, I wanted to try these out first, but the genAI poltergeist in my phone camera keeps misidentifying my nudes as Edvard Munch's The Scream, and Sotheby's now claim I owe them 120 million dollars. Anyway, here's what's new in PC games this week.

Square Enix revealed merchandise to celebrate the Final Fantasy IX 25th anniversary, like FFIX figures, glasses, and a Vivi prequel book.

Square Enix published a new webpage to mark the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX. The company also simultaneously revealed several FFIX merchandise and collaboration projects that will appear to mark the major anniversary milestone, like Zoff glasses, a picture book that acts as a prequel for Vivi, and figures.

One of the highlights in the lineup will be the Timeless Tale vinyl record, which also comes with a serial code to download the MP3 files of the tracks included in the vinyl. Square Enix will release the vinyl in Japan on July 9, 2025, and it will cost ¥4,950 (~$30.15). However, the company will also make the product available on its North American and European web stores, as well as the rest of the world, via CDJapan.

Square Enix also put up multiple listings for Final Fantasy IX goods on its Japanese e-Store. The lineup will consist of FFIX Form-Ism figures of Zidane and Garnet. There will be ten chibi character plushies. These will consist of playable characters and other notable figures from the game. The company will also sell a picture book starring Vivi at ¥1,320 (~$8.80), which will be a prequel looking at what his life was like before FFIX. There will be replicas of Garnet's silver necklace at ¥38,500 (~$256.55) too.

In addition, Square Enix teased a couple more projects for the Final Fantasy IX 25th anniversary, with details to be revealed at a later time. The company will hold a kuji lottery in July 2025. It will also work with Zoff to produce three sets of glasses based on the FFIX characters. The latter brand had previously made crossover glasses themed after franchises like Honkai: Star Rail, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Gintama.

Here's a closer look at all of the FFIX merchandise that is on the way:

Final Fantasy IX originally came out for the PlayStation in Japan on July 7, 2000. That date will also serve as the game's 25th anniversary day in 2025. Square has since ported the RPG to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS. The PC version also has a fan-made Moguri Mod that can upscale the game's graphics.

New Genshin Impact Character Is a Chef From Fontaine Escoffier

Now that the 5.5 update for Genshin Impact is live, HoYoVerse started teasing a new character, and she's a chef from Fontaine named Escoffier. She'll debut in 5.6, though we don't know if she will end up being a four-star or five-star unit yet. We should see her in May 2025.

Escoffier's title is "Lead Goose of Precision Gastronomy," and her character is described as "Tasteful Excellence." She's a cook, though she isn't currently associated with any particular place. Previously, the new Genshin Impact Fontaine character worked as a chef for Hotel Debord. Now, she's a part of The Steambird newspaper alongside the four-star Cryo unit Charlotte. She's supposedly a controversial and critical figure, but one who is a genius in the kitchen. In the one social media post describing her, past Fontaine character Navia referred to her as the " Towering Tyrant of Taste."

While we don't know what kinds of attacks she'll use yet, her rank, or her role, we do know her type. She's a Cryo character. Her Constellation also references her background as a chef, as it is called Dulciaria Structura.

Here's the full art for Escoffier in Genshin Impact.

We've seen quite a few Fontaine Genshin Impact characters who are professionals of some sort. Navia is the Spina di Rosula president. Emilie is a perfumer from the region. While Chiori is from Inazuma, she currently runs the Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine. Many of the other characters from the region that are playable are tied to the government or worked alongside the Archon, Furina. Escoffier is one of the most recent people to hail from this particular region, as previously in the 5.0 series of updates HoYoVerse focused on folks from Natlan.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and Escoffier will debut during 5.6.

Monster Hunter Wilds Hammer buff coming in future update

Capcom's Yuya Tokuda published a public letter detailing planned future updates for Monster Hunter Wilds. The game's director also noted that the upcoming update patches for Monster Hunter Wilds will include gameplay balance adjustments that buff the Hammer and nerf the Corrupted Mantle, among others.

The first major title update, which primarily adds quests against Mizutsune and Zoh Shia on April 4, 2025, will also come with a balance update that nerfs the effects of the Corrupted Mantle. This item can increase the players' attack power and weapon affinity in exchange for a gradual health drain while being worn. Capcom will, in return, buff the effects for other Mantles in the same update. It will also simultaneously bring a stability update that reduces VRAM usage for the PC version.

Another balancing update in the future will focus on the weapons. While Capcom is considering buffing the Hammer, it will also scrutinize other weapons available in Monster Hunter Wilds and may add some nerf adjustments if they are too overpowered. The company is still contemplating whether to release the weapon balance update in the version 1.011 update in late May 2025 or the second major title update that adds the Lagiacrus in Summer 2025.

Yuya Tokuda published the director letter shortly after Capcom announced that it had sold over 10 million units of Monster Hunter Wilds. The company previously recorded 8 million units—including all pre-orders—sold during the game's launch weekend from February 28, 2025, to March 2, 2025. That means it took a month to add 2 million more units and round up the milestone.

Monster Hunter Wilds is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The first major title update is slated to appear on Friday, April 4, 2025.

The channel's home page also features lists that curate digital video game soundtracks available on YouTube Music. The primary categories feature Atlus' current big three franchises, which are Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Studio Zero's Metaphor: ReFantazio.

However, additional focus should be given to the "Other Titles" category that appears at the bottom of the page. This list features not only Shin Megami Tensei spin-off titles like Devil Survivor and Soul Hackers. It also includes soundtracks from Atlus' smaller titles like Princess Crown and Last Bible. In addition, the list has albums from games made by Sting, such as Yggdra Union, Knights in the Nightmare, and Riviera: The Promised Land.

Interview: Preparing Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is coming back, giving us a chance to once again start a new life in Zephyr town and balance farming and selling. It's been quite some time since it debuted on the DS as Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, and already a number of changes like new romance options and a glider appear. Siliconera spoke with Story of Seasons Manager Hikaru Nakano to learn more about what went into preparing this latest remake.

Jenni Lada: What Made you decide to return to Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

Hikaru Nakano: Out of all of the titles in the Story of Seasons series, Grand Bazaar is one that is particularly characteristic or unique in the content that it has in the game. It's also one that we think is quite easy to play as well. So it's easy to pick up and enjoy for players. Those are the reasons that we decided to choose this title.

But, looking at it from a wider lens, from the perspective of the player walking through the town and [by] the townsfolk, understanding their environment, and also interacting with animals, this was a title that we thought was good in those aspects in particular. So in our goal to make an easy to play and enjoyable experience for players that they can enjoy for a long time, we decided to go with Grand Bazaar.

Given this entry originally appeared on the Nintendo DS as Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, what challenges did you encounter when preparing Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for new platforms like the Switch and PC?

Nakano: Yes, we did face various difficulties when bringing the title from the DS to these modern Switch and PC platforms as well. In particular, all of the art and graphics on the DS were in 2D, so we actually recreated everything from the ground up for this title. It was completely remade graphically.

One example to dive into there is not just the art, but even animations for the various, like their eyes, their mouths, and that type of thing. The ways and styles of doing that back in the DS era were a lot, let's say simpler, than they are in the modern area just because of the limitations of the time. Now we have the ability to create a lot more detail in those kinds of animations and expressions. So we took great efforts into making sure that the expressions of characters were more detailed and filled with feelings so that we could create a more immersive experience for the player in the modern era.

What kind of quality-of-life adjustments did you come up with when creating this new version of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for modern platforms?

Nakano: There really are so many improvements that we have made that it is difficult to talk about all of them, but maybe one example that I can bring up as a representative is the way that we handle animals now. So first, I want to talk about maybe the graphical improvements with some of the animals and the gameplay as well.

We wanted to make the player feel closer to their animals as they raise them and help build relationships between them. We put a lot of effort into the way that the animals, the livestock and pets, will react to you when you interact with them. Whether it's like petting them, brushing them, or milking them. There are a lot of animations and interactions between the player and the animals in that way.

But specifically with quality-of-life stuff, an example that I can give is in the original Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you had to push them or corral them yourself to get them to go outside for the day. But now you can employ your pets, your dogs and your cats, to herd the livestock, the cows and the chickens, outside so that they'll go graze in the pasture on their own.

There are many examples like that [where] we endeavored to decrease the stress for the player and improve the gameplay experience.

There's one more related to animals that I thought of that I wanted to share as well. You may recall from that older era of Story of Seasons games that oftentimes you would need to, in other titles, put only the amount of feed that the animal would eat in the feeder each day. So you would have to put the feed out for them every single day. In the original Grand Bazaar, one thing that we thought was very good and was a quality-of-life [feature] at the time too was that that you could put feed in for multiple days at once so you didn't have to add the feed for the animal every day. So in that way, there are also things that we kept from the original title that we think were good for the time too.

I noticed one of those gameplay elements that you kept is that there is still no shipping bin in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. What made you decide to maintain that decision and not bring the shipping bin box.

Nakano: I mentioned at the beginning of our talk that Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is, among other things, quite unique and characteristic in some ways. Building on that, all of the titles you play as this farmer and you raise your cows and your chickens, you harvest your milk and your eggs, or perhaps you go to the field and you harvest your vegetables, or you go to your tree and you harvest your fruit. That is something that is shared, but what is unique about this title is that once per week you gather up all the things that you have produced and you bring them to the bazaar and then you interact with your customer directly to sell them and turn all of your hard work into your earnings that you can then use going forward.

We did actually consider adding the shipping box during development to this title as well, but we decided instead, that it would be best to maximize  what is the unique point of this title. You know, we put a lot of work into making the bazaar very fun for our players, and we definitely want them to experience that aspect of the game to the fullest. Because of that, we decided not to add this.

In the original Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, you were able to experience cooperative multiplayer with other players and they could see your farm, so is it still possible to have that online or multiplayer experience in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar?

Nakano: There is no multiplayer in this version of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

Is multiplayer something that you would perhaps explore in future Story of Seasons games?

Nakano: Essentially, yes, I would like to consider that kind of multiplayer again in the future, but with the caveat that we do want to make sure that it is chosen for the correct game and implemented in the right way so that it is a good and fun experience for the players.

There are certain games that are fun as single-player games, and certain games that are more fun as multiplayer games. We would like to consider the possibility of multiplayer on a title-by-title basis. It might be a little more complicated with the caveats that I just mentioned, but in essence yes. I would like to consider it for the future and would love to see how we can make that happen.

When it comes to romance and marriage elements, in the demo it seemed like there were no restrictions. So no matter what kind of character you play, you can romance everybody in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar?

Nakano: Yes, that is correct. That is something that we have implemented in our past few titles, like [Story of Seasons: Pioneers of] Olive Town. The way it works is that no matter the players' characters' gender, they are free to choose [whichever] marriage candidate that they would like. We don't want our players to have to worry about that kind of thing when they are enjoying the romance in our games.

Arata is one of the new romance options in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. How did you come up with his personality and what made you decide to make a connection between him and Samir?

Nakano: From the planning stages [when] creating this game, we knew that we wanted to add new marriage candidates. The way that we looked at it was looking at the current cast, as well as the setting of Zephyr Town. What kinds of characters would increase the overall appeal of the cast, as well as fit in well and exemplify the world of Zephyr Town. You know, with the connection with Samir, he is a student studying from abroad. So we knew that we wanted to create some kind of connection there to further build out the world of Zephyr town and make it feel more robust and alive.

As far as the kind of characterization that Arata has, he's got, compared to the other characters, more of like a wild side. When I say wild side, I don't mean crazy. I mean like outdoorsy. We also added like a mountain area in this game as well. So we thought Arata's outdoorsy side would fit with that kind of setting too.

Overall, we look at the whole picture and think of what will further exemplify the world and what will make the whole cast shine.

Likewise, when creating Diana, what was the inspiration for her and how did you decide to make her tied to the Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar bazaar?

Nakano: To explain her case, I actually need to talk a little bit about the original Grand Bazaar game. So in that game, just as in this one, the bazaar starts very small and it's run down. You work to make it bigger and prosper, and grow the bazaar. However, in that older game there really isn't a reason or explanation for that. There are no cutscenes. There's basically not a real story surrounding it, and that's something that we wanted to add and improve upon in this title as well.

So we knew that we wanted to create the story around the bazaar, and one way that we're doing that is improving upon Felix's character and his motivations too, drawing out his emotions as well. He has motivations to [build] the bazaar too, but we couldn't do it with just him. We also needed to have this other organization that would be pushing the story along too, so it wasn't just Felix as well. Putting [in] a character that could be like the face of that committee makes it more relatable.

We thought that it would be great to add a marriage candidate as the person that was involved with that committee so that we could better tell the story, then tell the story of the marriage candidate within that committee as well.

In the original Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar, you were only able to have one child, and the child had a default look to them. In Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, will it be possible to have more than one child? Will they be able to look like you and your partner?

Nakano: I believe that it is only one child in this title as well. However, the appearance is affected both by the appearance of the player character's avatar, as well as the partner. That's something that we've been doing in [Story of Seasons: Pioneers of] Olive Town and A Wonderful Life as well. We try to take in some elements of both of the parents.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar will come to the Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2025.

Preview: Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar Takes Us Back to Market

Marvelous revealed that Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is going to return and provide us a chance to play a former Nintendo DS exclusive game on the Switch and PC. It's always been one of the more unusual ones, due to the fact that there's a balance between farming and acting as an actual vendor. After getting some hands-on time with it, it still feels like that sense of balance is preserved.

In my first moments with Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, I first got to actually make a character. Like more recent entries, a player picks out every element of their avatar. You choose one of two body types, select the facial features, decide on the hair, and choose an outfit. You also name yourself, of course. After that, it's off to town and learn how Felix hopes your arrival can rejuvenate the bazaar they were once known for. This segment also led to a tutorial showing how that element is prioritized.

In Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you're attempting to build up a selection of products, which you will then sell at your booth whenever the bazaar opens. This means items foraged, things grown, products from farm animals, and whatever you make. Improving the quality can increase the value, so a big element also involves putting in the effort to constantly improve what you can offer. During the bazaar segment, I was also able to see how not only putting out products was enough, but ringing a bell to draw potential customers' attention and building up a gauge that would allow the Harvest Sprites to chime in and provide buffs and basically a "fever time" would make my time at each bazaar more valuable.

From there, I was able to explore. In addition to the farm area, where you can tend animals, have your pet herd your flocks, and care for crops, the mountain area provides foraging opportunities. During my session, I was able to see the mushroom log, which I was able to upgrade with materials in order to result in eventually higher quality mushrooms, and the beehives. It also was the perfect place to test out the glider. In this entry, you can jump around environments to cross rivers or go to higher or lower terrain. A new addition in the remake is a glider that lets you drift from one spot to another while in midair. This made it easier and faster to get from the outdoors back to town again, I found.

Part of these initial moments spent in Zephyr Town with Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar entailed getting to see some of the love interests. I got to see a heart event with Ivan, for example! He was easy to spot in town by the fountain, and this time there are no gender barriers around pursing characters. That event should feel familiar to those who played the original game, as it involved a talk about books. After walking a bit further, I was able to visit Sherry and Felix in their home for her heart event. There, it was possible to encourage the mayor to trust his daughter more and allow her to assist in running the town, and in return to assist in housework so she doesn't feel stuck indoors maintaining a home.

I also got to meet the two new love interests in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, which are the romance options Arata and Diana. He's connected to Samir, and he can be found training (and living) in the forest or running a booth at the bazaar. Diana is tied to the bazaar commission and, as such, can often be found at those grounds. The in-game compendium already seemed quite adept too, as I was able to look both up already and see she likes sweets and red items, but hates greasy foods. Meanwhile Arata enjoys hearty meals and blue items, but can't stand sour food.

Finally, the last part of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar I got to experience firsthand ended up involving preparations for dealing with bad weather. Hurricanes and other events can strike the town. While in some installments, that means hunkering down for a day and dealing with it, there are extra efforts to take here. In this case, I needed to go to my field, a mushroom log in the mountains, and the beehives in the mountains to put up precautionary screens to protect against the storm. If someone doesn't craft and place them, the crops, beehives, and mushroom log could all be destroyed, so there's a sense of purpose. This means you really need to check the weather and prepare to alter your schedule as needed.

Like the DS version of the game, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar feels like it will make selling at the weekly market a priority. The updated graphics seem to suit the area, while still preserving the European atmosphere and character designs. It also seems like it'll be fairly easy to set a schedule and get into a groove. We'll know more though, of course, when it debuts this summer.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar will come to the Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2025.

Schedule 1 Post Office

During your Schedule 1 playthrough, you'll quickly learn that you can run separate businesses that, although they don't make you any money, let you go beyond the ATM's weekly cash deposit limit. While the Laundromat is likely the first you'll unlock, the Post Office is a solid second option.

How to purchase a Post Office business in Schedule 1

You can purchase the Post Office from Ray's Realty in the southeast part of Hyland Plant. Ray will sell you the Post Office for $10,000, which you'll have to pay using your debit balance. Make sure to deposit some cash into an ATM or use your Laundromat if you've exceeded your weekly limit.

Schedule 1 Ray's Realty map location
Screenshot by Destructoid

As you progress through the main story, you'll naturally learn the location of Ray's Realty, the Hyland Auto shop, and a local car mechanic. You'll find all three businesses in the southern part of the map, south of locations like the Town Hall, Hyland Police Station, and Thrifty Threads.

Schedule 1 Post Office location

Schedule 1 Post Office map location

Fortunately, if you're already at Ray's Realty and just bought the Post Office, you'll find it directly west of the realtor shop's location. Otherwise, if you're familiar with the Laundromat's location, you can reach the Post Office by traveling toward Gas-Mart and Hyland Auto. At this plaza, head right to find the building directly south of the Town Hall.

How to use the Post Office in Schedule 1

Like the Laundromat, your goal with the Post Office isn't to profit from shipping parcels and mailing letters. Instead, your cash funds will drain quickly, as this is another of Schedule 1's money laundering methods. In short, you need this, the Laundromat, and other businesses to raise your ATM deposit limit.

Schedule 1 Post Office management screen
Screenshot by Destructoid

The ATM limits you to $10,000 worth of weekly deposits each week. By the time you unlock areas like Schedule 1's Bungalow, you'll likely make close to this amount daily, making these businesses essential for your upgrading and delivery purchases.

While the Laundromat has a $2,000 daily limit, the Post Office has a $4,000 cap. By combining both, you can triple your daily laundering operation limits to get up to $6,000 extra cash on your debit card every 24 in-game hours. If you're saving up for a new property, car, or bulk deliveries, this extra $4,000 a day or $28,000 a week will help, especially if you have other businesses to raise this further.

Flea Markets are one of the locations we can visit in inZOI, but unlike most other spots, they aren't marked on the map. Finding Flea Markets can be tricky, but your Zois will often desire to visit them, so you need to know where they are.

There are only a few Flea Markets available to visit throughout inZOI. They're all decently small and hidden on larger lots, so if you're having trouble tracking them down, here's where to find the Flea Market in inZOI.

Flea Market location in inZOI

There are three Flea Markets you can visit in inZOI. There's one in Central Park - Fountain lot in Dowon, one at Nuri Plaza in Dowon, and one at Liberty Square in Bliss Bay. They're all quite tiny and tough to find even when you know which lot to visit for them, but traveling to them is crucial for fulfilling urges, so here's a breakdown of how to visit each one.

Central Park Fountain Flea Market in inZOI

You can find a small Flea Market at the Central Park - Fountain lot near the north end of Dowon. At this lot, look for the massive circular fountain. Behind it, there's a row of benches by four Flea Market tables right under a bridge. Approach these tables to visit the Flea Market.

Nuri Plaza Flea Market in inZOI

The Nuri Plaza Flea Market in Dowon is massive, making it the easiest to find. Visit this lot from the map and look for the many Flea Market stalls situated in front of the giant cat statue. This market also has quite a few other interactive stalls situated around it.

Liberty Square Flea Market in inZOI

The last Flea Market you can find is situated at Liberty Square in Bliss Bay. This one is the toughest to find since there's only one Flea Market stall set up in the area, and it's quite hidden. If you need to visit one, it'll do the job, but the other two are far better options.

The Flea Market stall can be found by some pink balloons near a fountain on this lot. It's tucked away in a corner area near the many picnic tables with red umbrellas situated under some red awnings attached to a nearby building.

When do Flea Markets open in inZOI?

Flea Markets open at 9am in inZOI, although it usually takes Zois a bit of time to set up after this. Including the time it takes to get stalls running, you can usually start interacting with the stalls closer to 9:10 am.

Can you buy items from Flea Markets in inZOI?

Sadly, you can't buy items from the Flea Market stalls in inZOI, but you can purchase goods from certain other stalls that may appear nearby. Food stalls, for example, can usually be found fairly close to Flea Markets and can be interacted with to buy food. The only interaction available on Flea Market stalls is to ask the vendor about their product.

Can you sell items at Flea Markets in inZOI?

You can't sell items at the Flea Market in inZOI. If you want to sell items, you have to use other methods to do so. Since inZOI is in early access, it's possible the ability to sell at Flea Markets could be added in the future, but for now, you can't make money this way.

A Warzone operator with Kali Sticks overlooking the map

Activision's continual marketing department assault for Warzone culminated today in a bombastic launch trailer for Warzone's long-awaited return to its OG map, Verdansk, and it's sure to get the blood pumping.

For any Call of Duty players who still somehow haven't realized that the 2020 launch map for the free-to-play battle royale mode is coming back this week, this trailer is sure to do it. With all sorts of Verdansk shenanigans shown off to the tune of Queen's classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," this one is likely being sent off in text messages and group chats around the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqPCFUUbMiU

Warzone players who continue to play the BR or those who've long since moved on are all anticipating Thursday's arrival of Verdansk, the map where Warzone made its name and where tens of millions of players dropped in five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic to "escape from reality," as Freddy Mercury so eloquently puts it in the song.

While the pandemic may have come to an end for most, the world around us still sucks in other ways, so maybe a return to Verdansk is what we all need. I've already sent the trailer to my own group chats with friends, and pals who haven't touched CoD in years are getting ready to download updates tonight.

Verdansk coming back as the main BR map is just a part of the nostalgia that Activision is trying to prey on with this season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone. You can think of season three as an attempted full rollback of the past few years of updates to BR, which have largely been unpopular with a vast part of the player base.

For example, returning features that were stripped from the game include floating loot, vehicles like the helicopter and "Big Bertha" truck, re-worked player movement, several popular weapons like the CR-56 AMAX and Kilo 141, a similar UI for the Buy Station, and even the original announcer and cutscenes.

Will it all be enough to get Warzone back on track after years of missteps and head-scratching decisions? That's what Activision is hoping, rolling out an assumedly large marketing budget that includes this trailer but also several influencer videos on social media including baseball player Juan Soto, recording artist Tinashe, and several others.

We'll know more once Warzone returns at 12pm ET on April 3 after 24 hours of server downtime to deploy the update. Players can play BO6 to level up weapons and continue to enjoy CoD in the meantime.

The four witches in ENA Dream BBQ.

After going through the Lonely Door in ENA Dream BBQ, you can meet a group of three witches who will ask for your help in finding their missing sister.

But just like everything else in the game's psychedelic world, and given the sisters' conflicting information, doing that can prove to be all but a straightforward affair. Here's how to find the witch and bring her back in ENA Dream BBQ.

How to find the witch in ENA Dream BBQ

After talking to the witches and accepting the Have You Seen This Witch job in ENA Dream BBQ , you can find the missing sister by heading to the path on their right and then going through the Torri gates. After exiting the gates, continue onward to find the missing witch trapped inside a building.

You will only be able to cross the Torri gates and meet the witch after completing the Kill that Man's Stare job. The job is automatically triggered after you attempt to go through the gates. To complete it, head southeast and buy a bottle of mayo from the vending machine NPC highlighted below.

With the product in hand, you can complete the job by heading to the NPC whose eyes you must cover, selecting "Block eyes with the mayonnaise", and returning to the job giver at the Torri gates. You can get the chocolates needed to buy the mayo by completing the Pets Come Home job.

How to reunite the witches and complete the Have You Seen This Witch job in ENA Dream BBQ

After talking to the trapped witch, you can return her to her sisters by retracing your steps until you spot the hard-to-miss crane controller below. Interact with it to start a minigame. Input the following in order: Down, right, up, left, down, right, down, right, up, left, down, right.

  • The crane in ENA Dream BBQ.
  • The crane game in ENA Dream BBQ.

If you make a wrong input, don't worry, as failing once does not lock you away from completing the minigame. Completing it in one go, however, allows you to net the Crone Operator achievement. Upon reuniting the witches, talk to the sisters to receive a Motherboard and complete the Have You Seen This Witch job.

How to start and complete Pets Come Home: All pet locations

You can trigger the Pets Come Home job in ENA Dream BBQ by talking to the NPC highlighted in the first image below, located to the left of the witch sisters. They will ask you to find their four missing pets. You can find the first pet behind the triangle-shaped rock highlighted in the second image.

  • The location of the Pets Come Home NPC in ENA Dream BBQ.
  • The location of the first pet in ENA Dream BBQ.

From the spot above, head to the cave below (you must crouch to enter). Now, follow the path until the environment changes before taking your first right, heading left, and continuing onward to spot the second pet.

Finally, the third pet can be found on the right portion of the gigantic cruise ship facing the plaza, while the fourth one will be located atop the building featuring the NPC whose eyes you must cover during Kill That Man's Stare.

  • The location of the third pet in ENA Dream BBQ.
  • The location of the fourth pet.

With all pets in tow, return to the quest giver to complete the job and get the 10 chocolates needed to progress in both Kill that Man's Stare and Have You Seen This Witch.

Khazan and Elamein walking toward the Devoured Village

In some cases, finding Soulstones in The First Berserker Khazan is as simple as progressing the level. Finding the four of them in the Devoured Village and its Sinister Prison is another matter. We'll go where to get them all in this guide.

All Soulstone locations in the Devoured Village in The First Berserker Khazan

The Devoured Village is split across three zones: the eponymous village, an underground waterway, and the Sinister Prison, a place of horrors best left unconsidered. The four Soulstones are similarly split, with one in the village, one in the waterway, and two in the Prison. The location of only one of them, the last, is obvious. The remaining ones are either hidden by tricks or in plain sight.

First Devoured Village Soulstone location

A Soulstone among rocks

In a novel twist from the likes of the Embars Ruins Soulstones, you'll find the first Soulstone in an area just before where you enter the level. Once Khazan opens the main gate, you can access the area and turn around. Follow the linear path to its end to find the Soulstone sitting in a small nook in the rock wall.

Second Devoured Village Soulstone location

A Soulstone in the waterways
Screenshot via Destructoid

The second Soulstone in the Devoured Village is a bit trickier to find. Start at the Underground Water Facility Blade Nexus and cross the waterway. You can ignore the enemies there. Climb the ladder on the other side, then follow the pipe around, keeping right at the intersection.

When you exit the pipe, go straight instead of turning left toward the spider nests.

Be on the lookout for a breakable barricade on the left side of the hallway, about midway up the path. Crash through it and keep heading left to find the Soulstone in the corner behind some boxes.

Now for the Sinister Prison Soulstone crystals. This crystal isn't too hard to find, but there is a trick to it. The path to the Soulstone is fairly straightforward: past your first Elite enemy, head up the stairs on the right side of the room. Clear the plague mobs that appear, and follow the path to the right.

You'll quickly come to an intersection where a hallway leads left. Head left to proceed toward the Soulstone. Head down the stairs and turn right, going around or through the dragonkin enemies until you reach a room filled with stone beds and corpses.

For now, head down the pipe on your left as you enter the room. Open the shortcut just beyond the end of the pipe, then head up the stairs to find Elamein captured. After the cutscene, head through the door to the right of the purple-glowing pipes.

Head up the stairs and keep left when you reach the first research study. Defeat the dual-ax-wielding dragonkin and follow the narrow path through the bookshelves. You should eventually see a single book glowing and emitting sparkles.

Interact with it to open the secret passage. Take a short left to find the Soulstone hiding amongst the stacks.

The fourth and final Soulstone crystal in the Devoured Village and SInister Prison is near the end of your adventures there. Progress through the level until you reach a smaller surgery room with stone beds and bloody corpses.

An elevator among corpses

The elevator at the back of the room is your key to reaching the final Soulstone. Step on the switch and take the elevator up, but instead of going all the way to the top, exit through the hole in the wall halfway up.

Drop down onto the pipes and follow them to the left, being careful not to fall off. Stay on the upper level and head around to the right until you see the Soulstone and the final energy lever waiting for you.

All that's really left for you to do is activate the strange experiment at the heart of the Sinister Prison and unlock the way to the area boss. The fight is more cinematic than difficult, especially compared to Maluca. If it does give you trouble, though, the ability to respec is readily available.

A close up of BG3's Ornate Mirror - which asks you questions about Balsam Ointment and old, powerful rulers.

Completing every Baldur's Gate 3 sidequest is a tall order, but don't let the Ornate Mirror and its tricky Balsam Ointment question throw you off. You'll need to pass its test or risk losing access to the Necromancy of Thay questline.

It's not a hard conversation to navigate, but the fancy furniture is quick to react. Here's a complete list of all of BG3's Ornate Mirror answers for those worried about passing its checks.

Where is the Ornate Mirror in BG3?

Upon reaching Act 1's Blighted Village, enter the building next to the glowing Waypoint and search for a wooden hatch behind the bar. Climb down into the cellar, proceed to the back northernmost wall, and flip the lever hidden behind a few crates.

Follow the tunnel, hugging along the wall curving right, and you'll encounter the Ornate Mirror. It's not too hard to find, and the space is small, so take a moment to snoop around, picking up more items and assorted junk.

Interacting with the Ornate Mirror triggers the usual Skill Checks, so save before proceeding. If you answer incorrectly, it'll lock you out of the secrets it guards.

When you correctly answer every Ornate Mirror question, it opens up this path to a secret passage.

Every BG3 Ornate Mirror Answer

Here are all of the Ornate Mirror's answers in BG3:

  • "Tell it your name" or "Yes, an ally! I'm an ally of your master's."
  • "Szass Tam is a foul, wretched creature" or "A foul lich. May he die a thousand more deaths."
  • "To clean a wound?"
  • Any answer except "I'd see the ones I love."

The BG3 Ornate Mirror is no normal mirror; it's a spooky spectral gateway blocking your path forward. For my playthrough, I chose a half-drow, half-elf warlock, and some prompts here reflected as much. Nonetheless, we'll use answers that any class or character can use.

Before you begin, you'll have options for bypassing Baldur's Gate 3's Ornate Mirror answer section. If you have high Charisma or Strength, you can attempt to pass DC 15 checks to threaten to destroy the mirror. You can also read the Dark Journal, the location of which we'll discuss later, and impersonate Ilyn Toth using a DC 15 Persuasion Check.

It's not all the Ornate Mirror answers, but here's the moment you meet the entity and its first introduction.
Screenshot via Destructoid

Depending on your character's class, you'll encounter answers for these questions that, although worded differently, lead to the same correct result. For example, if you're playing an Origin character like Gale or Lae'zel, you'll find answers for the Balsam Ointment and third questions that are viable for this mini-quiz.

Similarly, if you're playing classes like wizard, ranger, or bard, you'll find class-exclusive answers you can use instead of the ones listed above. Generally speaking, as long as they're similar to the ones above, you're free to select those instead.

BG3 offers prompts like those here, allowing you to explain who Szass Tam is and what to do with Balsam Ointment.
Screenshot via Destructoid

Once you complete the Ornate Mirror's Q&A session, you'll be free to proceed into the laboratory and discover the room's biggest secret, the Necromancy of Thay. When you're done here, you can head northwest for another quest, Rescue the Trapped Man.

How to discover the Ornate Mirror answers

In BG3, you can read various books around the Apothecary's home and cellar if you're interested in learning more about Szass Tam, Balsam Ointment, and other miscellaneous lore pieces. While many of these books have flavor text, a few reveal some important details, including the answers to the Ornate Mirror questions:

  • The Apothecary's Ledger inside the house reveals the existence of the cellar.
  • The Healer's Log in the cellar that Balsam Ointment was used to clean a splinter wound before bandaging it.
  • The Dark Journal in the casket at coordinates (X-667, Y: -316) tells the story of someone being chased by the Zulkirs, implying distaste for them.

You can find multiple alchemical ingredients and potions alongside notes and books throughout the Apothecary's house. The cellar, in particular, has items such as a Potion of Healing recipe book, Elixir of Poison Resistance, and several other items to help you create alchemy mixtures.

A Zoi with brown pigtails and a green jacket standing in front of an apartment building in inZOI.

Since you have to decide where you want your Zoi to live in inZOI as soon as you're done making them, you may eventually want to relocate them elsewhere. It's possible to move to a different lot, although it can be a bit tricky to get done.

As you obtain more money, moving to a fresh location to start anew is a great way to continue building your Zoi's life. If you're struggling to figure out how to relocate, here's how to move houses in inZOI.

How to move your household in inZOI

The relocate here option for a Zoi moving in inZOI.
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can move houses in inZOI by selecting the "Relocate here" option on a different lot on the map. Finding it can be a bit tough the first time around, so here's a full breakdown of all the steps you need to follow to get your Zoi set up with a new home.

  • Load into your active Zoi household.
  • Open the map. There are two different ways to access this feature:

    • By pressing the "M" key to instantly load the world map.
    • By opening your smartphone and selecting the "City map" option.

  • Click on the lot you want to move into. This can be an empty lot or one that's occupied by other Zois. If you choose the latter, the Zois who live on the lot will move out.
  • Select the "Relocate here" option on your desired lot.
  • Choose the "Ok" option to confirm your move.

Once you finish these steps, the cost of your new home will be deducted, and a loading screen will play as your Zoi then moves to their new home. You can then get to work building a house or furnishing an existing one.

When you click on your Zois household to move them, there's also a "Relocate" option. It's always grayed out, though, and cannot be used to change their primary residence. This option is only available for other households throughout the world.

If you have your Zoi get married, you can also choose to move houses then. As soon as your Zoi is married, a special pop-up will appear asking if you want to look for a new house. If you do, you can click on this option to initiate the moving process.

How to move other Zois in inZOI

Screenshot by Destructoid. Remix by Destructoid

To move other Zois around the world outside of your active household, you need to select the "Relocate" option on them from the map. This is a different option than the one you use to move your own household, so here's how to access this feature.

  • Open the map through the "City map" app on your smartphone or by using the "M" key.
  • Click on the household you want to move.
  • Find the "Relocate" option near the top right corner of the page.
  • Select the "Relocate" option.
  • Click on the lot you want to move the household to.
  • Choose "Ok" to confirm the move.

Now that you know how to move your Zoi to a new home, you can get to work tackling other tricky tasks like fulfilling urges, selling items you've created, and driving a car. If your Zois life starts to feel lonely, you also might be interested in learning whether or not inZOI has multiplayer.

Sea LEviathan from the Second Sea update of the Fisch Roblox experience

There are a lot of difficult fish to catch in Fisch, but the Sea Leviathan might take the cake for being one of the most difficult, even among the other Second Sea fish. Follow along with our guide on how to find and catch the Sea Leviathan in Fisch to maximize your chance of completing your Bestiary before anyone else.

Sea Leviathan Location in Fisch

Spawn zone of the Sea leviathan in Fisch

To find the Sea Leviathan in Fisch, you first have to defeat Cthulu and reach the Second Sea. Once you are in the Second Sea, you will have to use the Fish Radar to see the spawning zones for all different types of fish. Now, the Sea Leviathan is a very rare spawn, and it will take some time before you can find its Abundance zone. It is similar to the Orca and Megalodon areas, as it is a gigantic red area where you can see the Sea Leviathan swimming around.

Fisch Sea Leviathan Tips & Tricks

To maximize your chance of finding the Sea Leviathan, we recommend stocking up on Sundial Totems. This event has a low chance to spawn each day, so changing the days is the most efficient way to get one to spawn. Once you spawn it in, you will need to sit and fish for a while until you are able to start reeling it in. It has a -90% progress speed, so it is among the hardest fish in Fisch to catch. You can only catch one Sea Leviathan per spawn event, and the zone disappears after the first player catches it.

Best Rod and Bait for Catching the Sea Leviathan

Best Rod Preferred Bait

Since the Sea Leviathan has -90% Progress Speed when being reeled in, we recommend using the Ethereal Prism Rod. It has an extremely high Luck stat of 195%, and you will definitely need that if you want to catch this behemoth effectively. It also has 40% Resilience, which will come in handy as the Sea Leviathan can be quite frantic and move the progress bar all over the place.

Shark Head Bait in Fisch
The Sea Leviathan has a very specific taste when it comes to baits: Shark Head. This is the preferred bait when catching this monster of a fish, as all other baits seem to be too small for the Sea Leviathan to pay attention. It has a very high Universal Luck stat of 30 and a good Resilience of 10, making it very effective when reeling it in. Sadly, it has a Lure Speed of -5, so it might take a few more clicks than usual, but that does not matter as the pros heavily outweigh this one con. You can easily get Shark Heads from the Quality Bait Crate, but if you do not have them, you can also use Seaweed or Weird Algae.

We recommend going through different servers and trying to find one that has a luck boost event, such as the Aurora Borealis. You can also go to a private server where you can freely change the time of day and have the highest chance to secure the Sea Leviathan for yourself.

Sea Leviathan Bestiary Entry

Once you enter the Sea Leviathan into your Bestiary, you will be able to see additional information, such as the Largest specimen you caught, the preferred bait, location, and details.

And that is everything you need to know about how to find and catch the Sea Leviathan in Fisch. Check out our Fisch Codes article for more goodies and more materials to help you catch this beast.

genshin impact escoffier official announcement

Genshin Impact has revealed a new Cryo character from Fontaine named Escoffier. She is a renowned chef from the Nation of Justice and will be released in the upcoming version 5.6 update. Read on for more details about the new chef on the roster.

Escoffier, the Fairy of Fondant Felicity

HoYoverse has announced a new playable character named Escoffier, a famous chef in Fontaine. She will debut in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.6 update, which is expected to go live on May 7, 2025.

Here are some details about Escoffier via her official drip marketing post on Genshin Impact's official X account:

  • Title: Tasteful Excellence
  • Lead Goose of Precision Gastronomy
  • Vision: Cryo
  • Constellation: Dulciaria Structura
  • Arkhe: Ousia

Escoffier is a Cryo character, but her rarity and weapon type are still up in the air. However, the information from the beta suggests that she is likely to be a 5-star unit that uses a Polearm. Additionally, Escoffier is expected to be an amazing Cryo support and sub-DPS unit.

More on Escoffier

Escoffier is a former Head Chef of Hotel Debord in the Court of Fontaine and is a very popular figure in the Hydro nation. According to Navia, Escoffier simply loves cooking but can be a little strict about it and is hardly the terror the papers make her out to be. However, the Fairy of Fondant Felicity also does not show any respect to those who don't take cooking seriously.

Escoffier expected release date

Version 5.6 is expected to be released on May 7, 2025, so you can expect Escoffier to debut on one of the following dates:

  • Phase 1 - Mar 7, 2025
  • Phase 2- May 27, 2025

That said, since Escoffier is the first character to be revealed for the new update, she is highly likely to be released in the first phase of version 5.6.

Hyland Auto in Schedule 1

Inventory size is an area of concern in Schedule 1, and the lack of space becomes a big problem as you approach the endgame.

Once you start to unlock the advanced recipes, workstations, and more, you'll run out of space pretty quickly. The absence of some sort of backpack makes things harder, but there are simple tricks to manage your inventory limitation in the game.

Schedule 1 doesn't allow you to increase inventory

There's no known way to expand the default inventory in the base game. The only available option is the hot bar. We get eight slots, and items like skateboards take some of them up. This further reduces the number of items you can carry at a given time.

The presence of a backpack-like system would have made it easier to carry more items, but that's not the case. We might get something in the future, as the game's official Trello board has plenty of planned updates.

While you can't increase the inventory size, there are a couple of tricks that will allow you to carry more items together.

Car inventory in Schedule 1
Screenshot via Destructoid

How to carry more items in Schedule 1?

The first thing you'll need is a cabinet. You get one for free when you start the game, but there are better options available in the store. You can buy as many as you want from Dan's Hardware, and the best variant allows you four extra slots. From ingredients to final products, you can place anything you want in the cabinets.

Another trick is to buy a car, which can be done at Hyland Auto. The basic version is available for a low price, and they offer additional inventory space. Getting a car is perfect if you're going to town to get new items. You can place them in the car, which will allow you to carry more items together. This workaround allows me to reduce at least one additional trip to the town. You should get a car as soon as Hyland Auto gets unlocked. Hopefully, we end up getting a backpack in the future as part of an update.

Preview of the mobile and the keyboard control layout in the Azure Latch Roblox experience

Getting comfortable with the controls is tough when getting into a new Roblox game—the same counts for Azure Latch. Especially so if you take into consideration that you will face many veteran players. With that in mind, we prepared the following Azure Latch controls guide to help you get familiar with them in no time.

All Azure Latch Controls for Keyboard and Mobile

Below, you can check out all of the Azure Latch keyboard and mobile controls. The controls function in the same way, no matter what you prefer to play on. However, for optimal experience, you want to use a mouse and a keyboard if possible.

Azure Latch Keyboard Controls

A keyboard layout of all controls in Azure Latch Roblox experience
Controls in Azure Latch — Image by Destructoid

Besides the keyboard controls highlighted in the image above, the only other buttons you will need in Azure Latch are the movement ones (WASD). Two of those, A and D, also help you execute different moves like the Curve Shot.

Azure Latch Mobile Controls

The layout of mobile controls on the Azure Latch Roblox experience
Control layout on mobile in Azure Latch — Image by Destructoid

The control layout in Azure Latch for mobile is pretty basic. All of the buttons for regular moves are positioned on the right, while the style-specific moves are at the bottom of your screen.

Azure Latch Player and Goalkeeper Controls Explained

In Azure Latch, controls differ depending on whether you play as a player or a goalkeeper. Below, you can find all of the differences between the two, as well as a bit more information about each move on its own.

Azure Latch Player Controls

As a player, you have reduced movement speed while holding the ball. To curve your shots, hold either the A or the D key and aim slightly upwards. You can also switch between the "Normal" and the "Header" modes and adjust how your character reacts when hitting the ball in the air. In general, you will stay in the "Normal" mode for most of the game.

Move Details Cooldown iFrames
Normal/Header [E (Without Ball)] • Switch between the Normal and Header modes None No
Shoot [M1] • Shoot the ball forward None No
Curve Shot [A/D+M1 (Look Up)] • Shoot a curveball None No
Rainbow Flick [Space] • Flick the ball over your head 2.5s No
Dribble [E] • Dash forward and dribble past an opponent
• Breaks opponent's ankles
2.75s Yes
Tackle [Q] • You tackle forward and potentially steal the ball
• If successful, stuns the opponent
3.5s No
Side Dash [A/D+Q] • You dash to the side 2s No
Speed Burst [F] • You gain a burst of speed and dash forward 5s Yes
Flow/Awakening [G] • Temporarily unlocks Awakening Moves 50s Yes
Call Pass [R] • You ask for a pass 1.5s No

Azure Latch Goalkeeper Controls

As a goalkeeper, no one can tackle you or steal a ball away from you while inside the box. If you hold the ball for too long, eventually, you will use the Super Throw. Finally, while on the goal, you can see two things other players can't:

  • The yellow box that appears when the ball is in the air, which signifies where it will land.
  • The white line extending from a player currently in possession, which shows you where they are aiming.

Move Details Cooldown
Jump Block [Space] • Let's you block aerial balls None
Forward Dive [Q] • Intercept the ball in front of you 1.5s
Left Dive [A+Q] • Dive to the left and catch the ball None
Right Dive [D+Q] • Dive to the right and catch the ball None
Super Throw [T] • Throw the ball a long way forward None

Does Azure Latch Have Controller Support?

Unfortunately, even though Azure Latch does have controller support, all of the controls are bugged while using one. The only two things you can actually do are flick the ball and shoot, and that's about it. So, for now, play Azure Latch either on a mobile device or with a keyboard and a mouse. Hopefully, the developers will resolve the controller layout issue soon. When they do, we will update this article with more information.

That sums up everything you need to know about Azure Latch controls. Now, you are ready to get on the pitch and show everyone who is the real egoist. If you want to get yourself one of the best styles right away, then make sure to redeem our Azure Latch codes.

R.E.P.O screenshot showing a surplus of cash at an Extraction Point.

There is nothing more terrifying than going through a game of R.E.P.O. and praying your squad doesn't crash and burn, causing you to start everything from the beginning with none of your upgrades or purchases intact.

Out of fear, players are looking for ways to either manually save or back up save data so they can keep a run going if the worst comes to be. But how does saving in-game work, exactly?

How saving works in R.E.P.O.

REPO chef enemy
Don't blink. Screenshot by Destructoid.

There is no way to manually save your game in R.E.P.O., with the game automatically saving your progress anytime you finish a level or exit the store. The game saves each point at the start of a level, so if you were to exit mid-way through a level, you'd have to start at the beginning the next time you load your save file and might even spawn in an entirely new level, too.

The game also auto-saves the moment you die, so if you aren't quick enough or feel like you're in a desperate situation and don't immediately quit the game, the moment your character kicks the bucket the game auto-saves and deletes all your progress up until that point, forcing you to restart from the beginning no matter how far you were through the game.

As for backing up the saves of your game, there is a way to do it, but it's pretty convoluted at best, and most players might not be able to get it to work 100% of the time, so do so at your own risk.

It's also worth noting that any saves on gameplay are locked to players who were a part of the game from the first level, so if you want additional players to join an already existing game file, you can't. You'll need to make a new game from scratch to allow new players to join in and play together, which isn't ideal if you want to play with different people on the same file.

So to recap, if you want to keep your saves alive if you feel at any moment you are going to die or the last player alive isn't going to make it, quickly back out and quit the game to keep your progress intact and then reload the save and reinvite anyone in. The moment a player dies, your save file is gone for good, and as there are no manual saves, you'll be at the mercy of RNG to keep your hopes of a long, successful run alive.

A rod store in Fisch 2nd Sea selling the new rods

After much anticipation, the Second Sea is live in Fisch, bringing in a slew of new fish, new areas, and, YES, new rods. Whether you're into collecting rods, need a better one for reeling in fish, you're going to need some of these if you hope to survive the Second Sea. Adventurer's Rod from Fisch
Adventurer's Rod
Lure Speed: 1%
Luck: 5%
Control: 0

Two players with different classes standing next to each other in Dead Rails Roblox experience

Going without any starting items into your next run can be really tiresome in Dead Rails. Buying items that last you only for one life is arguably as bad. However, there is a way to start each journey loaded up, and that is by getting and equipping classes. So, without further ado, find out which classes are the best by following our ultimate Dead Rails class guide.

What are Classes in Dead Rails

Each class in Dead Rails lets you carry preset items into each run without having to buy those items with bonds. Also, some classes give you unique passive bonuses, like being able to revive other players without bandages. In general, you should save up all the bonds that you find and invest them into unlocking new classes. This way, you will always have a decent starting loadout and powerful passive abilities.

Dead Rails Class Tier List

A tier list of all Classes in Dead Rails made via TierMaker that goes as follows: S-tier: Vampire, Survivalist; A-tier: Conductor, Zombie, High Roller, Cowboy; B-tier: Miner, Ironclad, Priest; C-tier: The Alamo, Doctor, Arsonist
All classes in Dead Rails ranked from best to worst – Image via TierMaker

In the above Dead Rails class tier list, we ranked all classes from best to worst based on their overall strength, both when playing solo or with a party. In general, classes that cost more Bonds to unlock are stronger than the rest. However, that is not always the case. The Ironclad class is an excellent example of a relatively weak class that costs a lot of Bonds to unlock.

Best Dead Rails Classes for Solo Play

If you like to play alone and hog all the Bonds for yourself, then you should farm them up and get either Vampire, Survivalist, or Zombie. Vampire is the best Dead Rails class for solo play because of its survivability and speed. However, it has a very unique playstyle. So, you can't expect that other players will always conform to you unless all of you are playing as Vampires.

Dead Rails Class List

Below, you can find all the Dead Rails classes along with their cost, the starting items they give you, and the unique passive bonuses they provide you with. Also, we highlighted the pros and cons of each class to provide more context to the Dead Rails tier list above.

How to Get and Change Classes in Dead Rails

  • A player standing in front of the Tailor shop in the Dead Rails Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Tailor classes menu in the Dead Rails Roblox experience

In Dead Rails, you can get new classes and change your current class at the Tailor NPC in the main lobby. Each class costs some amount of bonds to unlock, and changing your class is possible only before you start a run. You can see your currently equipped class above your character's head while in the main lobby.

Farming Bonds in Dead Rails

If you want to unlock a class in Dead Rails, you first have to grind out quite a bit of bonds. Unfortunately, bonds can be hard to come by if you don't know where to look for them. In general, the best locations to find Bonds in Dead Rails are the castle at the 40km mark and Bank vaults in burning towns on the side of the rail. For more information on how to approach entering these places, check out our guide on how to farm bonds in Dead Rails.

That concludes our ultimate Dead Rails class guide. If you are still indecisive about picking your go-to weapon, check out our Dead Rails weapons tier list and find your new main.

luxurious chest and a secret source dragon mecha

You can find up to five Luxurious Chests while exploring Atocpan in Genshin Impact. Three of them can be obtained after solving three Secret Source Dragon Idol puzzles, and the remaining two can be accessed after opening the Shrines of Depths.

This guide covers the location of all five Atocpan Luxurious Chests and how to obtain them in Genshin Impact.

All 5 Luxurious Chest locations in Atocpan

Head to the dragon's location and defeat it by destroying all the launchers on its body. Once that is done, climb to the Lone Secret Source Dragon Idol's head and open the Exquisite Chest before activating the dragon again. This will take you to another small island southwest of the main Natlan map.

Once there, defeat the Vagrant Secret Source Dragon Idol using the launchers on the maze walls. This will give you a Luxurious Chest, worth 10 Primogems, and unlock the Shadows of the Colossi achievement in Genshin Impact.

Go to the Summoning Hall in the Ancient Sacred Mountain and follow the path to the mechanism to pick up the Secret Source Servant, That Which Was Once Ehecatl. Next, use the teleport waypoint in Fallingstar Fields and head straight to enter the ruins. Defeat the Hilichurls and place That Which Was Once Ehecatl on the shining spot to open a secret room. Enter the hidden area to obtain a Luxurious Chest.

  • Shrines of Depths west of the Remnants of Tetenanco

The R.E.P.O. logo with some grim and dark trees in the background.

If you ever play R.E.P.O. long enough, you'll go to the store after every level where you can spend your hard-earned cash. While there are a bunch of weapons, items, and upgrades, sometimes the game offers you the weirdest purchase choice of all — a Rubber Duck.

Most players might look past the Rubber Duck as a gag item or something useless to buy over, say, a Shotgun or Energy Crystal to charge your weapons. Or those insanely useful upgrades to your character to increase Stamina and strength.

But don't let it fool you, the Rubber Duck does have some chaotic uses.

What does the Rubber Duck do in R.E.P.O.?

R.E.P.O screenshot showing items at the shop.
Lots to buy. Image by Destructoid

The Rubber Duck can appear at the Service Station store on top of grenades and other items and definitely sticks out over everything else in there. Its easy to skip it, but for the curious chaos seekers out there, what does it exactly do?

The Rubber Duck is essentially a projectile you can toss down in any room that'll ricochet off of anything it hits, like walls, enemies, or even other players. It'll damage everything it hits and will continue to spiral out of control for what appears to be an eternity, making it a very unorthodox weapon that has some practical uses, but is mainly there to cause some mischief. It'll then explode after a little while to deal massive damage if it comes into contact with a large enemy.

As the item moves around completely randomly, you can't guarantee where it'll land and what it'll hit, but there is a way to make the most of that, too. If you are in a small room, for example, with a monster inside, you can throw the Rubber Duck into the room and hold the door shut to guarantee it'll do some damage. It can also be a saving grace item against a monster like the Alien, as when you're lifted into the air, you can throw it at the Alien to hopefully get it to drop you before it slams you down to the ground.

You can also line yourself up to throw the Rubber Duck to explode on larger enemies once you get used to how it works. Just make sure you don't drop it on the floor without any momentum, or you'll blow yourself up instead. Also, make sure you don't drop it next to any valuables or your cart unless you want all your money and effort to go up in smoke.

Personally, I never buy the Rubber Duck on a run with friends because of how chaotic and random it can be, I'd rather save my money to buy actual grenades or weapons as they become available for a more solid defense. But if you want to cause some mischief, hopefully, this helps you get a grasp on how to deal out more destruction.

Dream Puke in Schedule 1

The early game in Schedule 1 can be tricky, but this guide will help you increase your profits from the items sold. While the easy part is to sell the base product, the mixes listed in this guide are where the money's at.

They're all based around "green" products and are pretty easy to make. The mixers required to produce them are also readily available, allowing you to manufacture them on a Mixing Station.

Best early game mix in Schedule 1

All the mixes listed here are pretty cheap to make and usually involve between one and three mixtures. They add different effects to your base products, raising their sales value and boosting your profits.

Granddaddy Purple Banana (Gingeritis) Gingeritis, Sedative
MEth Cuke (Energizing)
Mega Bean (Foggy)
Viagra (Tropic Thunder)
Cyclopean, Foggy, Tropic Thunder

While the mixes mentioned here are mostly around Marijuana variants, I have also thrown in a recipe that involves Meth. This product requires a few hours of gameplay as you unlock the Westville region and gain access to Shirley Watts.

Shirley provides you with Pseudo, which is the main ingredient for making Meth. The one drug that's not on this list is Cocaine, which is an endgame recipe. Once you gain access to the Docks region, you'll unlock the required ingredients and recipes to make Cocaine.

If you are past the point of Schedule 1's early game, make sure to check out our full list of the best mixes for all drugs.

technoblade youtube icon

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has been honored in the upcoming Minecraft Movie, set to release worldwide on April 4, with a touching tribute easter egg.

The reveal comes from fellow content creator Tommyinnit leaking the tribute before the premiere, along with images that are starting their rounds on social media and online, showing a lone pig with Technoblade's famous crown walking around the village. Technoblade's Minecraft skin was a royal pig with a crown, so the tribute is subtle and fitting.

It is unknown at this time when the tribute will play on screen and for how long, but surely eagle-eyed fans will be on the lookout not just for the Technoblade homage, but for any other easter eggs or references to Minecraft's long history.

Spoilers ahead.

https://twitter.com/lukefer_1/status/1906472137353011346?s=46&t=eJmY99xyXgy2CJNq1541kA

The content creator, who died July 2022 after a battle with stage four cancer, was one of Minecraft's biggest stars and was one of the most beloved and cherished creators on the platform with over 10 million subscribers. Despite his diagnosis, Technoblade continued to create content and stream to his viewers, keeping his community updated as he received treatment.

His death came as a shock to both Minecraft players and content creators alike, who honored Technoblade as soon as his death was announced on June 30. A video with Techno's father narrated a final, posthumous message titled "so long nerds," written for such an occasion.

Shortly after his death, Mojang updated the Minecraft loading screen to have a pig with a similar crown appear for a few months in honor of Technoblade's legacy and commitment to Minecraft.

Technoblade isn't the only content creator reference in the movie either, with several content creators teasing that they have some form of cameo or appearance in the movie that appears to be a labor of love to Minecraft players and creators worldwide. Dantdm is one of many creators to announce they are in the film, asking fans to "see if you can spot us when you go see it."

The Minecraft Movie launches worldwide on April 4 in cinemas, but players can also take part in a Minecraft Live Event that ties into the movie right now to unlock special rewards, as well as get exclusive codes and items from various promotions, including one with McDonald's. So, there is a lot to sink your teeth into if you are a Minecraft fan this week and beyond.
