This aged series has changed a lot in the decades since its NES debut, but that blazing home village has become a running gag. Ninja Gaiden games are slicey-dicey outings of varying quality in which Ryu Hayabusa must kill everything he dislikes yet again. But in the upcoming Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, it's going back to 2D, largely without Ryu. I scuttled along to a demo session to play the "neo-retro" action platformer, and found that the familiar hero does show up as a tutorial mentor you can battle. In the case of the Azeyma outfit and hairstyle, the FFXIV The Warden's Attire and Modern Aesthetics - The Warden items are designed to allow someone to exactly replicate her look. The clothing can be dyed, with Square Enix showing how it looks, as can the hairdo. None of the items are gender-locked. If your avatar is a species with a tail, it won't appear with the outfit. Nintendo issued a reminder about the Mario Kart World Direct, which will air at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET on April 17, 2025 and cover the Switch 2 game. The latest note and update on the official site let us know how long it will be. This time, it's only a 15 minute showcase going over the racing game that now incorporates open-world elements.
The placeholder for the presentation is available on YouTube now. You can set up a notification there. It's also possible to watch via the embed below. No clues as to the content of the showcase appear in that teaser image, as it only shows Mario in a kart on an established track that already appeared in some of the earlier reveals. It looks like it could be Whistletop Summit, the track found in the Mushroom Cup.
The latest announcements also confirmed that the Mario Kart World Direct will show up in the Nintendo Today app. That's available on phones and tablets, and it highlights daily announcements about the company's titles and systems. It will also be an additional home for presentations.
We do know a number of new and returning characters will be playable in Mario Kart World. However, variants of them will be additional racers and not skins. It will also feature multiple modes, with one being a traditional Grand Prix that involves racing others on four courses in a row and another being the 24-player battle royale Knockout Tour that gradually narrows down competitors as people get through courses. There are also open world elements, as you can race around locations and explore when not partaking in a race.
Mario Kart World will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, and the Nintendo Direct about it will appear at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET on April 17, 2025.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is one of those games that ended up sort of exploding in an unexpected way! There's the base entry. Brace Yourself Games worked on The Legend of Zelda style entry called Cadence of Hyrule. Now we've got Rift of the NecroDancer, a more traditional type of rhythm game with characters and music from the series. It generally feels like a lot of fun, though the implementation of enemies as certain types of notes can be a lot to take in.
Rift of the NecroDancer begins with Candence on a fairly typical adventure. However, a mysterious rift sucks her into an alternate world. While she attempts to find a way home, she runs into other characters from Crypt of the NecroDancer who also found themselves pulled into the rift and forced to start living new lives. By meeting them and dealing with incoming enemies, she'll start to find the people responsible and perhaps find a way to save the day.
The majority of the Rift of the NecroDancer story mode and standard game involve going through tracks. Cadence has 10 health, which can be lost by missing hitting an enemy or replenished by eating food that might come down a track by "hitting" its note indicator. Your goal is to survive until the end of the song, hitting all of the enemies that come out of the rift during the track. In story mode, these are interspersed with segments going over what's going on in this alternate reality Cadence and other characters found themselves in and minigames going over their new daily lives and boss fights. For the most part, it works, and the story segments especially are far better and more engaging than I expected them to be.
The issue I have with Rift of the NecroDancer is that it sometimes feels like it is too busy. There is a reason that so many successful rhythm games feature note indicators that are relatively simple and clearly color-coded. Even when using licensed music or songs that are incredibly familiar, it can be a challenge to keep up. Here, we're forced to not only keep up with the beat and watch for indicators, we need to keep an eye on their shape, color, and direction. On the two easiest difficulty levels, it's completely fine and works great. On higher ones? I didn't have as much fun.
Let's use the bats as a first example. They come in blue, red, and yellow. Color tells you how many times you need to "hit" that indicator. Blue is two. Red and Yellow both need to be hit three times. However, the more concerning part is that you need to watch the direction they are facing, as that shows which lane it will go into after each hit. Blue always only moves left or right once. Red moves one row over, then back to the original row. Yellow moves to three different ones. Except when things start going really fast and there are multiple enemies to hit on notes at the same time, it gets problematic! Especially if you have a bat facing left on the leftmost row, indicating it will go to the rightmost row.
![]()
![]()
Another one that gets to be an issue is the Blademaster. This is because you need to watch and see when it raises its sword, because it'll immediately attack no matter how far back it is and need to be countered on the next beat after it does. And if it is a blue one, it'll need two hits to die. Even with an audio cue when it raises the sword, it's frustrating.
There are also shadows, which are another infuriating on Hard and Impossible difficulties. The type of shadow an opponent has will determine how it moves in time with the beat. Couple that with traps that can change movement types or mask characters, and it is so much to deal with as you play. I appreciate the idea and attempt to insert Crypt of the NecroDancer enemies into the game! On Easy and Normal difficulties, it's fine and can be novel. The execution makes me dread attempting higher difficulties sometimes.
![]()
![]()
![]()
While I'm not entirely sold on Brace Yourself Games and Tic Toc Games' Rift of the NecroDancer mechanics for standard tracks, I love the approach behind minigames and boss fights. These can feel more like Rhythm Heaven minigames. One of the earliest ones is a yoga class with Dove that involves button presses to perform poses in time with other students and making burgers at a diner with another familiar face in the same way with the same ingredients and timing. With the boss fights, you need to press in time to dodge attacks, then counter with your own hits if you did so successfully.
On top of that, these minigame and boss stages look incredible. The art direction is fantastic. They look smooth! Inputs are clearly defined! It's great. Characters are visibly recognizable too, even with the new art direction and AU looks. Plus, it means there's more characterization and personality for folks who didn't get that kind of attention in the first game.
Rift of the NecroDancer features some interesting ideas and a great story mode, which shows how well the concepts from Crypt of the NecroDancer work in a new genre. I'm not the biggest fan of how some enemies are implemented, especially given the difficulty they present on more challenging levels when a lot of concepts are tossed at the player at once. It's enjoyable and interesting, though how well you do while playing will be determined by your love of the series and music and willingness to really learn how to handle any type of attack. Those without a connection to the series might find themselves frustrated though, especially if they skip the tutorials.
Rift of the NecroDancer is available on the Nintendo Switch and PC.

Xbox is going all in with a suite of customization options for DOOM: The Dark Ages, which is due to launch in just under a month. And they capture the feeling and aesthetic of hell perfectly.
That is to say that the limited-edition controllers and Xbox Series X console wrap are ugly as hell, just as the game might suggest. But for DOOM fans, it's probably exactly what they're looking for when it comes to showing their love for the decades-old FPS franchise.
![]()
The regular Xbox wireless controller features a design similar to the demon-killing armor worn by the Doom Slayer himself, also sporting some blood splatters, a red right analog stick, and red LB and LT buttons to signify how important the game's new shield feature is.
And then there's the $200 Xbox Elite wireless controller, fully equipped with back buttons, grips, and all the accoutrements players expect from the premium gamepad, all with a sleek blood-red theme. I think I definitely like this one a bit more.
The controllers are one thing, really. I think there's a lot of room for expression when it comes to controllers, as I have several different funky designs myself. But I know many gamers care about their entertainment center aesthetic and like to have a matching scheme with their electronics, so the console wrap is just brutal.
I'm not sure how many gamers will be looking to drop this demonic rock-looking Series X onto their entertainment center and underneath their TV, but I bet there'll be plenty of DOOM fans looking to pick it up for $54.99.
I, for one, am definitely excited about the game itself, which looks to have a bit of a slower, heavier feel to fit the new setting of medieval times where the Doom Slayer uses a shield, flail, and other violent weaponry to stomp all over the hordes of hell in the prequel.
![]()
If you're pumped for DOOM: The Dark Ages and want to go for a rusty, bloody, medieval aesthetic throughout your living room or gamer cave, then head to the Xbox website for more info before the game launches on May 13.

Making potions and delicious food in RuneScape Dragonwilds is surprisingly simple once you unlock a few ingredients and make yourself a brewing cauldron. One ingredient you'll encounter early on is Bittercap Mushroom, which you can cook or brew to make helpful potions.
Table of contents
Bittercap Mushroom location in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Bittercap Mushrooms are native to Whispering Swamp, a region directly north of Bramblemead Valley. As you advance through the main storyline, you'll venture into this area and find small mushrooms along the ground.
![]()
Bittercap Mushrooms are tiny orange-red fungi you'll find on the ground, particularly around water. They're tough to spot initially, so lay down a few torches throughout the region to make them easier to find. Traveling here during the day will make it easier to catch them, but the fog will still obscure your vision.
![]()
Aside from this vision obstacle, Bittercap Mushrooms are easy to find once you know what you want. Along the way, you'll often spot resources like clay and Marrentil, which are also useful for building and brewing and worth stockpiling for later.
How to use Bittercap Mushroom in RuneScape Dragonwilds
RuneScape Dragonwilds lets you use Bittercap Mushroom in cooking and brewing. On your campfire, you can use these alongside a piece of fuel to make Grilled Mushrooms, giving you temporary poison resistance and restoring hunger. With dragons flying around and spewing poison everywhere, having some of these on hand can save you in a pinch.
Alternatively, you can build a brewing cauldron using coarse thread, clay, logs, and Rune Essence. Here, you can make potions using Charcoal as fuel and ingredients you find within Whispering Swamp and beyond. One of the first options you'll discover as you explore later regions is Antipoison Potions made using Harralander, Bittercap Mushrooms, and Clay Vessel. You can also experiment with RuneScape Dragonwilds' Cauldron Brewing recipes to find more powerful mixtures that will help you later.

Fast-traveling is possible in RuneScape Dragonwilds, but to do so, you have to get your hands on Lodestone, the primary ingredient in saving travelling time in this survival game.
Table of contents
How to unlock Lodestone in RuneScape Dragonwilds?
The Lodestone is the main plinth that will enable fast-traveling in RuneScape Dragonwilds. You can unlock the structure by collecting special items called Vault Cores.
What you need to look for is a blue flag with white vertical stripes on the map and head inside them. Make sure you're wearing armor for protection and carrying a weapon for self-defense, since danger can arise from any corner.
These icons represent Dragonkin Vaults, and from these locations, you have to collect the Vault Cores. These items act as an energy source that will fuel the Lodestone for fast-traveling. You can find two Dragonkin Vaults to the north and south of Temple Woods.
After heading inside, you will find tall structures. Move towards them to collect a Vault Core.
How to craft a Lodestone in RuneScape Dragonwilds?
To craft a Lodestone, you need to collect the following ingredients first:
Stones and Rune Essence are spread all over Ashenfall, so you won't have a hard time collecting them, as they're available in abundance.
![]()
After crafting, place it in an open and easily accessible spot. This will come in handy for the rest of your survival journey. Crafting a Lodestone will also unlock the Summon Shelter Perk.
I recommend you to craft two Lodestones in two distant spots to utilize the feature properly.
How to teleport in RuneScape Dragonwilds?
Now that you have crafted Lodestones, move into it until the Teleport option pops up. If you're playing using an Xbox controller, you have to press the "X" button to fast-travel or teleport between the two Lodestones.
You have to be very careful in your Lodestone placements as Vault Cores are rare materials, and you'll have limited access to these items. Another thing to remember is that teleportation isn't free in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
How much Rune Altars does it cost to fast travel?
Fast travel or teleportation costs 10 Law Runes in RuneScape Dragonwilds. To be safe, make sure to craft enough of it from the Rune Altar beforehand so that you don't run out of it and ultimately travel back to your base on foot.
Throughout this entire process, you will also unlock several Skills. You can check our guide to get the full list of Skills in RuneScape Dragonwilds.

If you've played either Old School RuneScape or RuneScape 3, you'll know copper and tin are among the earliest resources you'll obtain for making bronze armor. While you can buy gear at shops, RuneScape Dragonwilds requires you to make everything yourself.
How things work in RuneScape Dragonwilds is slightly different. You'll start with basic stone tools and work your way up, using items like ores and animal bones to upgrade your gear. Here's how to find copper and tin ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds for bronze tool upgrades.
Table of contents
Copper and Tin locations in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You can find copper and tin in abundance in the Fractured Plains. You'll need at least a Bone Pickaxe to mine it, which you can craft at a crafting table after collecting animal bones, ash logs, and leather.
You can access Fractured Plains by heading north from Whispering Swamp. If you're still in the early game, you'll need to upgrade your gear enough to safely fight off the goblins of Bramblemead Valley and the enemies within the swamp before advancing this far.

Upon arriving in the Fractured Plains, you'll find copper and tin ore nodes in abundance. Copper ore rocks have a gray and orange exterior, while tin has yellow-green splotches on its surface. They're also noticeably larger than stone boulders and clay nodes, making them easy to differentiate from each other.
You won't be able to find this much copper and tin anywhere else. Early-game areas have mostly stone and clay, while late-game regions have more advanced resources up for grabs. If making bronze equipment is your next goal, stick to this area and set up a small base for smelting.
How to make Bronze bars in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Once you have your copper and tin, you'll need a furnace and smithing anvil to smelt and form bronze bars into tools and weapons. You'll need both materials to make bronze, which you can toss inside the furnace, smelt for a few seconds, and use on a smithing anvil to make your tools or armor.
Like other RuneScape games, you can make bronze axes, weapons, shields, and armor, giving you plenty of options for improving your power level and combat skills.

After meeting the Wise Old Man at Bramblemead Village and claiming a bed of your own in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the sorcerer will give you another task: to hunt a wild deer and get an antler.
But that's easier said than done. Even if you manage to spot a deer early on, they can easily leave you in the dust if unprepared. Here's how to successfully hunt a deer in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

How to hunt a Deer in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
The best way to hunt a deer in RuneScape: Dragonwilds can be done by shooting it with any bow from a distance. The number of shots needed, however, is set to vary based on your arrows. For example, if you're like me and crafted a set of the starter but highly damaging Fang Arrows, you will be able to down your mark with around three well-placed shots.
![]()
Just make sure to not get too close to the animal, as although they won't react at all while being shot at, deer are known to scatter at the mere sight of you. To improve your chances of getting closer, I recommend crouching. Upon completing the task and hunting a deer, simply return to the Wise Old Man to complete the objective and advance in the Dragon Slayer quest.
You can craft a bow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds by heading to any available Working Table and expending 12 Ash Logs and three Coarse Threads. You can check out a more in-depth guide regarding how to get each of the materials needed to craft the bow and how to get the mentioned Fang Arrows in our how to craft a bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds guide.
Where to find a deer in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
For those currently struggling to find a deer, I found a set of three in the area highlighted below, at the lower portion of Temple Woods. You can easily reach the marked spot by either following the road ahead of the starting area or heading west from Bramblemead Village.

Apart from an antler, successfully hunting a deer in RuneScape: Dragonwilds will reward you with a couple of Animal Bones, as well as with around one Animal Hide and one Raw Game Meat.

RuneScape Dragonwilds has plenty of different spells to unlock, and players can start using them to make their in-game lives easier.
It doesn't take long to unlock the first spell, which should be Astral Projection (depends again on what activities you complete first). There's a fair bit of understanding required to understand how to unlock these spells in the first place. This guide will provide information about all the available spells as of writing and what you need to do in order to unlock them.
All spells in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Spells work similarly as skills in the game. While you can get new skills by leveling up different activities, spells require specific ingredients. Like skills, spells are of different categories, and you'll eventually want to pay attention to that while equipping them.
![]()
The job is simple: complete different tasks, and participate in as many of them as possible. Once you upgrade the skills, you'll get the chance to get access to different spells. The next step involves crafting the required runes in correct quantities to unlock the spells. Once done, you can then equip the options that go well with your build.

Getting high-rarity cards in Anime Card Clash can sometimes be a real struggle. However, that's precisely why the secret "Ladder" method was invented by the ACC community. If you want to find out everything there is to this secret technique, follow our Anime Card Clash Ladder method guide below.
Table of Contents
The History of the Ladder Method in Anime Card Clash
![]()
LMadara2 was the first player to use the Ladder method, and this was recorded on the official Anime Card Clash Discord server. According to them, they used it to gain a huge amount of high-rarity cards at once. However, they didn't elaborate further on the secret behind the Ladder method itself. Afterward, another user commented on the situation with, "another dude found out the ladder method ggs." This message implies that the Ladder method was known within a closed circle of Anime Card Clash players until its existence was leaked. Since then, more and more players have started posting their high-rarity card pulls while claiming that they used the Ladder method in the process.
Anime Card Clash Ladder Method Explained
![]()
To this day, the Ladder method is still a big mystery. However, there are some theories on how it actually works. According to an unverified claim made by a player on the Anime Card Clash Discord, the Ladder method involves opening Instant Roll packs in an unusual order. Instead of opening Instant Roll packs, starting with the largest packs, the Ladder Method requires you to open the smallest packs first (50, 100, 500, etc.). Keep in mind that if you do decide to use the Ladder method during the Eclipse or Monarch moon cycles, it might take you several of them to open all of your packs and get to the biggest ones.
Does the Ladder Method Actually Work?
The effectiveness of the Ladder method in Anime Card Clash is very questionable. After all, opening small Instant Roll packs does not guarantee that you will get any high-rarity cards. So, we can conclude that the Ladder method is more of a meme in the ACC community. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't also participate in it. So, when you get a high-rarity card, make sure to share it on the ACC Discord and claim that you used the Ladder method to get it.

Ladder vs the Gojo Method
Lately, there has been a massive debate over which method is more effective, the Ladder or the Gojo one. As this topic is highly controversial, we do not want to take any side in it. However, the fact of the matter is that the Ladder method has not been confirmed to work. In contrast, the Gojo method is a real thing that we covered in our Anime Card Clash Nightmare Tower guide. So, we leave it up to you to decide which of the two methods is the real 🐐.
That sums up everything you need to know about the Ladder method in Anime Card Clash. If you want to get some free Trait Rerolls and Moon Cycle Potions, make sure to check out our Anime Card Clash codes.
FAQs
Is the Ladder method real? The Ladder method is still a big mystery. So, it is still uncertain whether it's real or not. Which method is better, Ladder or Gojo? Gojo, obviously. Are there any other secret card-rolling methods in Anime Card Clash? Lately, the "Lucky" method has been gaining some traction. However, we still don't know anything about it.

If you are playing RuneScape Dragonwilds and find yourself wanting to become a potion master, then knowing all the recipes is handy when deciding what to craft. It can be a bit tedious, though, to open the journal all the time, and keeping track of stuff is equally time-consuming, so we thought we would help you in your endeavors by listing every potion available.
Before you can even make a Potion, however, you need to create the Brewing Cauldron. To make one, you need to get the following items:
To access it, you need to build the Brewing Cauldron underneath a room. When you do, you'll be given a chance to put three ingredients together, and depending on your combinations, you'll be able to make some cool stuff to help you in your journey, including healing potions.

The following is a list of all the available Potions you can craft, alongside what ingredients and items you need to make them.
These only represent a small amount of the potions available that we have found, with more appearing as you play and complete quests. Equally, as the game is in early access, more potions will eventually be added to the game, and we will update the list accordingly.
Furthermore, while most of the potions are useful, the Weak Healing Potion is a must, especially as you venture to areas with stronger foes, as keeping your armor and health at full is the key to surviving against the eventual bosses and dragons you will face off against.

When you get a new Shadow in Arise Crossover, the first thing you want to do is level it up. This is especially important in the late game because most of the Shadows you arise will be weak compared to the ones you already have. So, to help you farm EXP quickly, we prepared the following guide on how to level up Shadows fast in Arise Crossover.
Table of Contents
How do Shadow Levels Work in Arise Crossover
In Arise Crossover, each Shadow can level up to a certain point, and with each level, it gains more damage. Now, Shadows can be of different ranks. That rank determines the maximum level of your Shadow and its maximum damage potential. You can check the potential damage of a Shadow in the index section. Also, here is a list of all Shadow ranks and their level caps:
Depending on your Hunter rank, the level cap of your Shadows will increase even further:
How to Farm EXP and Level Up Shadows Fast in Arise Crossover
To level up your Shadows in Arise Crossover fast, let it fight mobs that have HP equal to around x10 the damage of the Shadow. In essence, you want to let your Shadow fight for at least 10-15 seconds with a mob. When the Shadow starts killing mobs in just a few hits, move on to the next mob or the next island. By doing this, you will constantly keep leveling up your Shadow by ~10 levels or more.
Arise Crossover Mob List
Below is a list of all mobs in Arise Crossover, along with the HP values of their regular and brute versions. You can use it as a reference while leveling up your Shadows. All of the brute versions of each mob on the same island have similar HP. So, after you grind weaker mobs on an island, farm a single brute mob before moving on to the next island. This way, it should take you 10-15 minutes to level up a Shadow to the max on average.
Why are My Shadows Not Earning EXP and Leveling Up in Arise Crossover?
If you are defeating mobs but your Shadows are not leveling up in Arise Crossover, that means they are not dealing enough damage to get the EXP. A Shadow can earn EXP only if it deals damage equal to around 5% of the enemy's maximum HP.
Preferably, you want to level up multiple Shadows of equal strength at the same time. If you are leveling up a Shadow that is weaker than the rest of your party, unequip the other Shadows. Also, disable the auto-click option so that you don't deal damage with your weapon.
That does it for our guide on how to level up Shadows fast in Arise Crossover. If you want to know how to enhance them to the SS rank, check out our guide to upgrading Shadows in Arise Crossover.
