Has it only been a week since we wrapped up CES? I barely had time to recover before we turned our attention to a trio of all-new Samsung Galaxy S24 phones that are – just as CES was – packed full of AI.
The good news is that the TechRadar team had ample opportunity to test-drive all the new phones, and sample their intelligent photo, video, audio, text, and search features. It’s an exciting time in Samsung Galaxy world, even if the company did reduce the optical zoom on its best flagship, and only give us a glimpse of its most interesting new upcoming device: the Galaxy Ring.
Elsewhere this week we've been looking at the rapid emergence of 'spatial computing' in the form of the soon-to-launch Apple Vision Pro. I got yet another demo session with the headset this week, and pre-orders are now live… which means we just learned a whole lot more about Apple’s insanely expensive headset.
All in all it's been a week of colliding tech companies and major product launches – you’re lucky that we’re here to sort it all out for you. So let’s relive the week, and then take a big breath as we prepare for the next…
This week's big reveal was the Galaxy S24 series from Samsung, with its latest flagship smartphones packing in a bunch of AI features, top-tier internal components, and superb screens – and we think they're good enough to have Google seriously worried.
After showing off its phones, Samsung teased the Galaxy Ring, a smart wearable that it's planning to launch in the not-too-distant future. In an exclusive chat with TechRadar, Samsung's Patrick Chomet shared more information about the upcoming device.
The Apple Vision Pro is available to preorder from today: our US Editor-in-Chief Lance Ulanoff has spent some more time using the new headset, and he says Apple is taking a big risk with the tech, as it tries to change the way we think about computing.
Apple has also been busy trying to keep its Apple Watch 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 devices on sale in the midst of a patent dispute – and refuting claims from its rival in said dispute that the blood oxygen sensor on its watches is less than perfectly reliable.
You've got a weekend coming up, and we've got some carefully picked recommendations about the best movies and shows to stream in your spare time. All the major platforms are covered, and there's enough variety here to include something for everyone.
