Genshin Impact events - all current and upcoming events

What are the current and upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.

There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. HoYoverse often launches a web event every update, which gives players a chance to learn about the latest Genshin Impact characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. Like all gacha games, the rewards for completing events in Genshin Impact range from in-game items like Primogems and Mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.

Genshin Impact codes February 2025 and how to redeem

What are the new Genshin Impact codes? Gathering Primogems and Mora in Genshin Impact can be quite the grind. Fortunately, developer Hoyoverse occasionally sends out gifts in the form of Genshin redeem codes. Most codes only work for a limited time, so it's best to redeem them as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Genshin Impact codes are released periodically, frequently appearing in Hoyoverse special programs: regular video updates detailing future updates to the free PC game. Redeem codes can also drop to celebrate milestones or to coincide with new Genshin Impact events. You can find all the active Genshin codes for February 2025 below, and we also detail what they get you, how to redeem them, and where you can look for more.

Dev behind 2024's greatest RPG has a new game, and it's smashed its funding goal

In just 21 days, Mashina, a new indie mixing platforming, strategy, and a supremely cozy stop-motion style, has been fully funded on Kickstarter, raising $23,172 / £18,523 - or £8k / £6.5k more than its target. Created by Talha and Jack Co., the studio's previous game Judero broke the mold last year, presenting a creepy, unsettling alternative to the big RPG releases like Path of Exile and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. From what we've seen so far, Mashina has just as much visual flair and a similarly novel setup.

Brutal survival game The Forever Winter is still alive, with big plans for 2025

Despite the name, many of the best survival games on Steam feel like they quickly push out of the need to 'survive' and into the 'thrive' state. The hostilities of the world might persist, but the likes of Palworld, Valheim, Rust, and Ark all give you tools to overcome and tackle them. The Forever Winter wants to be different. In a new community Q&A, developer Fun Dog Studios explains how it's working to lean away from typical power fantasies in search of an '80s and '90s sci-fi vibe "where survivability is basically zero."

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 32GB graphics card is reportedly coming, but with a catch

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is reportedly going to launch in a 32GB variant after the initial 16GB version launches, according to a new rumor. However, given what's been rumored so far about this gaming GPU's likely specs, it's unlikely this extra VRAM will make much difference to gaming performance.

While AMD did announce this new GPU at the CES trade show in January 2025, it hasn't said much since then. There's been no official announcement on the RX 9070 XT specs, and only an early March launch window teased by the GPU maker. Given that AMD is abandoning high-end gaming GPUs for this generation, we're not expecting AMD to challenge Nvidia when it comes to the very best graphics card performance, with the RX 9070 XT likely to offer mid-tier performance instead.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 reportedly won't be out for months now

If you were hoping to scoop up an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 any time soon, it looks as though you're going to be disappointed, as the new budget gaming GPU is reportedly being delayed. Although Nvidia hasn't officially confirmed the existence of the RTX 5060 yet, there was a lot of buzz about it being released in March, but this rumored release window has reportedly been pushed back.

The news comes shortly after rumors about an RTX 5070 release window rumor, with the mid-range Nvidia GPU reportedly now being set to come out in March, rather than the February window announced by the company at CES. Previous RTX 5060 release window rumors had pointed to a March release for the new budget gaming GPU as well, but it looks as though it's not expected until April now.

Avowed review - a high fantasy, low stakes RPG

Paradis. I'm told it's a city of opportunity; a beating heart, a roguish metropolis. Its streets are lined with merchants peddling their wares (ill-gotten or otherwise). According to my newfound companion Kai, a hulking gentleman with blue-scaled skin and pointed, yellowed teeth, Paradis is the embodiment of freedom. As we push open the city gates, ready to take on the world, I hear an ominous thunk. I look down and see a poisoned arrow comfortably wedged in my chest. Avowed begins much like Obsidian's New Vegas: you're dead, and then somehow you're not.

Solium Infernum is a better 4X game than Civilization 7, now cheaper than ever

With Civilization 7, Firaxis is trying to cut out a lot of the micromanagement and the noise of the conventional 4X game. For that, the studio deserves credit - given the series' history, and the endless success of Civilization 6, Firaxis could have rested on its laurels and just released a new, bigger version of the same thing. Civ 7 represents a vision. Alongside the likes of Stellaris and Manor Lords, it makes the strategy genre feel more varied than perhaps ever before. But there's a better, more original, and purer 4X game out there. If you haven't tried Solium Infernum before, it's now on sale for the lowest price in its history.

What are the best games like Among Us? Nothing brings a group of buddies together like trying to figure out which of you is secretly a murderer. Social deduction games or imposter games are all about throwing a hidden baddie into a group of people and watching the social carnage play out as everyone becomes suspicious of one another.

As a traitor, your job is not only to commit horrible crimes while nobody is looking but also to manipulate your friends into blaming each other for your nefarious deeds. You'll need to lie convincingly and think ahead to conjure up alibis and a plan of attack to be the last one standing in games like Among Us. What are the Elden Ring system requirements? With the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion now in the rearview mirror, and an exciting new game in the Elden Ring universe on the horizon in Nightreign, you may be wondering what PC gaming hardware you need to get the best performance in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring supports a maximum resolution of native 4K with HDR if you have one of the best graphics cards, but the 60fps frame rate cap remains in place. As usual, this is circumvented through mods, and they're not difficult to install, so it's not a major obstacle to overcome for one of the best PC games.

Elden Ring Nightreign dev considering two player co-op, but not at launch

Elden Ring Nightreign is going to be completely different to FromSoftware's RPG opus. The core gameplay is the same, but the team's focus has shifted towards a more online, replayable experience that promises to challenge us in entirely new ways. You can play solo, but co-op is going to be a must if you want to succeed, and strangely enough you can only do this with three players - no more, no less. Avowed is almost good, but there's something so resigned and workmanlike to its quest design and storytelling that it often feels like dog-eared chorelist of Obsidian must-haves, ticked off so aimlessly that the result is a bit like having an RPG described to you by someone late for a bus.

And that should be that, really. I'd run through all the ways Obsidian's latest didn't quite do it for me, most of you would go play it anyway because it's on Games Pass, and we'd all go back to patiently waiting for the sun to explode.

But, god, what a devastatingly gorgeous open-zoned world this is. What a triumphantly weird, sprawling playground of fantasy naturalia. What a treat it is to just climb all over, its design ethos captured in the first magical ring I found offering a 15% buff to parkour speed.

Ignore two thirds of the weapons and just roll a wizard to witness the stodgy melee combat of other classes give way to crackling, cackling spell-slinging. There is such a gulf of quality here it's like playing two different games. I spent 27 hours having a meh ol' time until a reinstallation of Nvidia's loathsome app deleted 200 some screenshots and I had to restart. Why not play a wizard? I thought. Why not indeed. Suddenly, I'm frying whole families of lizards at once with chain lightning and grinning like Palpatine in a pet shop.

Tanita has been working on the production of a measuring device modeled after SNK's Neo Geo cabinets. The company has newly announced that the Neo Geo-like device, which will consist of a clock, thermometer, and hygrometer, will also contain BGMs from SNK's games like The King of Fighters '95.

In the Japanese announcement tweet, the company noted that it chose KOF '95 because its staff members considered the game to be a hallmark in the series for introducing the Team Edit System. The same staff members are also choosing specific tunes that would symbolize the entry.

The King of Fighters '95 will not be the only game to have its soundtrack featured on this device. Tanita has also shared teaser images for three more titles in the same announcement. As an example, the lower left image is based on the Japanese logo for Garou Densetsu Special, which is better known in the West as Fatal Fury Special.

Here is the source announcement tweet from Tanita's official X account:

https://twitter.com/TANITAofficial/status/1889618235382964607?&mx=2

Tanita has also been working on more game-themed measuring devices with SNK. Previously in late 2024, it revealed a body composition monitor with a playable copy of The King of Fighters '98 that cost 2.2 million yen or around $14,340.

The Neo Geo-shaped measuring device that can act as a clock, thermometer, and hygrometer is still undergoing production. SNK has given its approval to mass-produce the device on January 21, 2025. However, it will still take more time until Tanita is ready to put the product up for pre-orders.

FFXIV Zero Attire, Hairstyle, and Scythe Added to Mog Station Store

Square Enix announced that we can all look like the Final Fantasy XIV supporting character Zero, as the FFXIV Mog Station Online Store is selling attire, a hairstyle, and a Reaper scythe based on the heroine. These pieces are all sold separately and not in a bundle, so it will cost $20 to completely copy her look. However, the weapon is limited to the Reaper Job class.

Zero's Attire costs $12 on the FFXIV Mog Station Online Store, for folks who want to dress like her, and that bundle includes four items. You get Zero's Order Chapeau, Zero's Order Cuirass, Zero's Order Earring, and Zero's Order Flanchard. This item isn't restricted by gender or race. All of the items, except the earring, can also be dyed.

First, here's a gallery of images looking at how Zero's Attire looks when worn by different types of Warriors of Light.

Next, this is how Zero's Modern Aesthetics - Voidswept Strands hairstyle looks in FFXIV. It costs $5 to add this to your aesthetician options. The final image shows how it looks in different colors on different races.

Finally, here's the Zero's Order Death Scythe. It costs $3. At level 1, it deals 9 physical damage, auto-attacks every 9.60 seconds, and has a 3.20 second delay. It can't be dyed.

Square Enix also shared a brief trailer on social media that looks at all the Zero items. You can first see it in its standard color on a Warrior of Light. However, at the end we can see it after it has been dyed into different colors and put on characters from other races.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

The company opened pre-orders for the new Zoids Sea Panther toy on its own Takara Tomy Mall website, but it does not support overseas shipping despite having a Buyee widget. This hermit crab toy will have a motor powerable by an N battery. Once attached and powered on, the toy will be able to move forward on its own while rotating its side cannon and fans. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Support Ends Over Unfixable Bug

The Apple iOS mobile version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is officially gone, due to a bug in the game that Square Enix can't fix. As it affected both the free and paid versions of the games, it officially pulled the title on February 13, 2025. However, not everyone can file for refunds now that it is gone. The Android version remains live on Google Play

The problem is tied to the in-app purchases system, and it is keeping lite and paid Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition players from getting through the game on iOS devices after grabbing it from the Apple App Store. This issue first arose on January 24, 2025, but Square Enix didn't make the move to completely remove the game until it determined the problem couldn't be fixed.

Refunds are available, but they only apply to a certain time period. So if you purchased the game back when it launched in August 2020, you aren't getting money back. However, anyone who bought it between January 2024 and it being removed can file for a refund with Apple Support. In addition to the Full Version of the game and Memory Crystal Pack being refunded, you can also get a refund for the following add-ons.

Here's everything that you can get your money back for buying:

  • Bel Dat's Crystal
  • Chelinka's Crystal
  • Chime's Crystal
  • Layle's Crystal
  • Leo's Crystal
  • Magic Wallet
  • Mira's Crystal
  • Moogle Arms
  • Relic Arms
  • Sapphire Earring
  • Special Arms Set
  • Sherlotta's Crystal
  • Yuri's Crystal

As a reminder, this version of the game featured a number of additions. A lite edition is available in addition to the full one, so you can play with others, and there is cross-play. It also added more difficulty options, a different UI, and the ability to use Mimic to resemble and play as certain characters.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Android devices, but the iOS mobile version of the game is now gone.

Silver Rathalos Prime is a new Monster Hunter - Transformers crossover action figure

Takara Tomy opened pre-orders for the new Monster Hunter - Transformers crossover action figure of the Silver Rathalos Prime. After initially revealing the product a week prior, the company has now let people place orders with an MSRP of 7,150 yen (~$46.50) ahead of its release in September 2025.

This new action figure takes inspiration from Optimus Prime and Silver Rathalos, the latter of which is the rare subspecies of Rathalos that also appeared in the original Monster Hunter games. However, it will mostly be a recolor of the original red Rathalos Prime, which is slated to appear earlier in July 2025. The Silver Rathalos Prime action figure will also come with a similar but differently colored set of a sword and a shield that can combine into a new weapon.

Takara Tomy originally put the action figure up for orders on its own Takara Tomy Mall website. But even though the site has a Buyee widget, the company does not make the product eligible for overseas shipping. People residing outside Japan can alternatively place orders on sites like AmiAmi, Hobby Search, and Hobby Link Japan with discounted prices.

The Monster Hunter - Transformers crossover action figure of Silver Rathalos Prime will be available in September 2025.

holo8 is Hololive game inspired by The Exit 8

holo Indie and Frog Blend have released holo8 on the PC gaming platform Steam. The game's title is supposed to be read as "Holo-Hachi" with the Japanese word for "eight," and it is inspired by The Exit 8.

The reference is very clear when the game primarily takes place on the 8th floor of an office. The objective of this game will be to take the correct elevator to go down to the 1st floor. However, it will instruct players to take the blue elevator only if there are no anomalies in the office or the red one if there are any. They must thus explore the office floor to notice any unusual changes.

holo8 also has an Everyday Mode that does not feature any horror effects so that horror-averse players can also enjoy the game. However, some of the anomalies will be exclusively available in the regular Anomaly Mode, which also has special effects on a game over scene.

This game features a total of 76 characters. It includes alum Vtubers who have formally graduated, such as Kiryu Coco and Minato Aqua. Players will be able to see not only the Japanese Vtubers from the original and DEV_IS groups but also staff members and Vtubers from the English and Indonesian branches.

holo8 is now available worldwide on PC via Steam.

hangyodon 40th anniversary

Sanrio announced several campaigns to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Hangyodon, a mascot with a "mysterious charm" to him. Some special events include a new music video themed cafe, and even an audio to listen to when you can't fall asleep. [Thanks, PR Times!]

You can actually listen to the Hangyodon sleep video on YouTube. It's over an hour long, and it consists of quiet, healing music while Hangyodon reads random words at short intervals. The video is quite similar to whispered "trigger word" ASMR videos, which have a similar effect.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vML0tJ28KQ

A full version of "Mysterious Star," which is a music video for Hangyodon's theme song, is also on YouTube. The song has a retro vibe, and focuses on Hangyodon's more mysterious side. In the music video, we can see him working and living in modern society as a salaryman.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcCE-67h3Lg

Other campaigns Sanrio announced for the Hangyodon 40th anniversary include a collaboration cafe that'll run from March 6 to April 20, 2025 in four different cities around Japan. With "hanami" as the main concept, the key visual features Hangyodon and friends sitting under a blooming sakura tree. Village Vanguard will also release goods from March 14, 2025, with items like tote bags. There will also be a pop-up store, as well as limited edition merchandise in the Sanrio stores.

Hangyodon is a Sanrio mascot who debuted in 1985. He's a nice guy who enjoys making people laugh, and strives to be a hero, though his attempts to do so never really work out. Though he's not conventionally cute like Cinnamoroll or My Melody, Hangyodon has a large enough fanbase that he was in 8th place in the Sanrio popularity poll in 2022.

The Hangyodon 40th anniversary campaign is underway. Though you can only check out videos right now, stores for this event will start stocking goods from March 2025.

fate/grand order space ereshkigal

During the Chaldea Satellite Station 2024-2025 Okayama event, Lasengle revealed the top 10 Servants from 2024 that people raised to Level 100 in Fate/Grand Order, with Space Ereshkigal topping that list. It also announced some details about the current Valentine's Day 2025 event. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Of the 28 Servants that debuted in Fate/Grand Order in 2024, these are the top 10 Servants that people raised to Level 100:

  1. Space Ereshkigal
  2. Mysterious Executor C.I.E.L.
  3. Aozaki Aoko
  4. Phantasmoon
  5. Louhi
  6. Yamato Takeru
  7. The Count of Monte Cristo
  8. BB Dubai
  9. Miyamoto Iori
  10. Shizuki Soujuro

Space Ereshkigal in Fate/Grand Order is a popular unit not only for her strength, but also for her unique Friendship Level system. Her Noble Phantasm gains different animations and buffs depending on how much she likes her Master. Ereshkigal herself is also just a very popular character. Iori and Soujuro making it onto this list, even if they're near the bottom, is quite something, considering they were welfare Servants you could get for free from participating in their events.

Lasengle also discussed the new Valentine's Day 2025 event in Fate/Grand Order. Like in previous years, you can get event rewards to exchange for chocolates, which you can then gift to your Servants. In return, they'll give you a special Craft Essence in an event. As for the Valentine's Day Servant this year, we have Sparkling Caster, who is a Quick-oriented unit with a more offensive kit.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices, and this Valentine's Day 2025 event is only on the Japanese server.

Candy Cloud Machine in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

There are many different Cooking Stations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and each will produce a certain type of food when you put ingredients into it. The Candy Cloud Machine is a machine that unlocks at a fairly late-game stage.

As with all Cooking Stations in Island Adventure, the Candy Cloud Machine is locked behind a very lengthy process involving leveling up friendships and unlocking new areas. Here's how to unlock it and everything you can make once you've managed just that.

How to unlock the Candy Cloud Machine in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Lala in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

The Candy Cloud Machine is located on Cloud Island, which you won't be able to reach until you've progressed a decent way through the main story of Island Adventure. Before you can reach this new area, you'll need to complete the following rather long list of tasks:

  • Complete all Flower Crystal quests

    • "Power Up the Gate" (Chococat level 1)
    • "Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp" (Kuromi level 4)
    • "Comic Relief" (Hangyodon level 6)
    • "Bring Back the Swing" (Pekkle level 5)
    • "Enraging Ruins" (Retsuko level 7)

  • Complete all Star Fragment quests

    • "Open the Nature Reserve" (Keroppi level 2)
    • "Reef Revival" (Hello Kitty level 11)
    • "Revive the Oasis" (My Melody level 11)
    • "Fire up the Volcano" (Retsuko level 11)

  • Collect 15 Stamina Apple Slices to make three Stamina Apples
  • Reach level 17 with Hello Kitty and complete the "Baker's Assistant" quest
  • Complete the "Stargazing" quest

It's a rather daunting list at first glance. The good news is that you'll end up completing these naturally over time, and you'll soon find yourself unlocking Cloud Island, where you can begin to level up your friendship with Lala and unlock the Candy Cloud Machine once you reach level 2 with her.

How to upgrade the Candy Cloud Machine in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

As with most other Cooking Stations (except for the Egg Pan), the Candy Cloud Machine is upgraded automatically once you reach a certain level with a specific character. In this case, you'll need to befriend Kiki and level up your friendship to level 5.

Upgrading the Candy Cloud Machine will allow you to use two additional ingredients on top of the base Candy Cloud to make even more recipes.

All recipes made at the Candy Cloud Machine use Candy Cloud as their base ingredient. This resource can be obtained by giving gifts to Cinnamoroll, so make sure to stock up on this finite resource rather than giving it to other characters as a gift.

Here are all of the recipes you can make at the Candy Cloud Machine in Island Adventure:

Opened Gift Flower in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

When you first dive into Hello Kitty Island Adventure, it's hard to miss the big pink flowers that litter the map. They're permanently closed, at least to start with, and you can't seem to do anything with them, but they do eventually have a very important role to play.

These closed pink buds are called Gift Flowers. When you water a Gift Flower, it will open up and give you an otherwise hard-to-get item that can be used as a gift for one of the characters. Before you reach a point when you can make three-heart gifts yourself, this method to get them can be extremely useful.

How do Gift Flowers work in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

Watering a Gift Flower in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Screenshot by Destructoid

After you've unlocked the Watering Can by completing My Melody's level 14 quest, "Flower Power," you can start exploring Friendship Island with the new ability to open up these pink buds. Because the Watering Can is one of the tools that's always active, all you need to do is walk up to the Gift Flower and press the button in the bottom right of your screen.

When you water a Gift Flower, an item or cooking recipe will pop out, which you'll need to manually pick up just as you would any other resource. If you already have the recipe given by the flower, you will receive a pre-made version of that recipe instead.

Gift Flowers are only ever found on the land, so there's no point looking for them while you're adventuring around Rainbow Reef, and Gift Flowers do not respawn once you've watered them. These are a one-time helping hand, but you will at least end up with some pretty flowers decorating the place once you've watered them.

All Gift Flower locations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

There are 71 Gift Flowers dotted around the main areas of Friendship Island. To make this easier, I've separated the different locations and created maps to guide you to all the relevant locations.

EA FC 25 Diogo Jota Flashback SBC leaked

The Diogo Jota Flashback SBC has been leaked on X by leaker @FutSheriff, and he could be the next big striker for your EA FC 25 Ultimate Team squad.

The latest leak has popped up on social media ahead of the upcoming Grassroots Great promo, but the card will be of a Flashback type. It will have stats and playstyles based on one of Jota's strengths in real-life.

So far, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about the card, but here are my predictions about when the SBC might be out, along with potential costs.

EA FC 25 Diogo Jota Flashback SBC release date (expected)

It's hard to predict when the Diogo Jota Flashback SBC might go live in Ultimate Team. Typically, Flashback cards are released randomly by EA Sports, but the frequency goes up on weekends. If that's the pattern, both February 15 and February 16 can be possible dates for the challenge to go live in Ultimate Team.

While the SBC could go live as early as tonight (February 13), Thursdays are usually always light on content, so I wouldn't expect the card to come out anytime soon.

Diogo Jota Flashback SBC costs (predicted)

So far, we don't have the official stats of the upcoming Jota item. However, I expect it to get 2 playstyle+, an overall rating between 91-92, and the presence of 5* Skills and 5* Weak Foot. If that's the case, it's better to keep a fodder budget of at least 500,000-600,000 coins.

Typically, Jota has always been a good card for Ultimate Team. His RTTK item still does well on the meta after receiving stat boosts, and the Flashback card shouldn't be any different. If you're looking to add a striker immediately and have a similar budget, the Fernando Torres Future Stars Icon SBC is a great option.

Fast Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

There is a whole underwater world to explore in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, filled with new resources to gather and quests to complete. Sadly, swimming under the water can be pretty slow, but there is a way to speed things along.

The underwater areas of Island Adventure open up for exploration once you've unlocked the basic Flippers through Keroppi and unlocked the Snorkel through Kuromi. It's a vast space, rivaling the landlocked areas in size and secrets, but it can take a long time to explore.

If you want to upgrade your Flippers to the faster version, here's what you need to know.

How to get Fast Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Rainfall Flower in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

However you look at it, Fast Flippers are a late-game upgrade. You'll only be able to get them once you've completed a long list of quests:

  • "Open the Nature Preserve" (Keroppi level 2)
  • "Comic Relief" (Hangyodon level 6)
  • "Bring Back the Swing" (Pekkle level 5)
  • "Fire Up the Volcano" (Retsuko level 11)
  • "Swimming Lessons" (Retsuko level 17)
  • "A Long Awaited Introduction" (after unlocking Merry Meadows)
  • "A Clue on the Shore" (after completing all of the above)
  • "Island Stone" (after completing "A Clue on the Shore")
  • "Rain or Shine" (after completing "Island Stone")

I know this looks like a dreadfully long process, and it is, but you'll be able to complete these quests through regular gameplay as a natural part of progression.

Completing "Rain or Shine" will unlock rain on Friendship Island, and it's this rain that you'll need if you want to unlock Fast Flippers because the rain will make Rainfall Flowers emerge in any area where it happens to be raining. These flowers can be watered using the Watering Can, just as you would water Gift Flowers.

Every time you water a Rainfall Flower, you stand a chance to get the Fast Flippers recipe. Once you've got that, you'll need to continue watering Raindrop Flowers to get 50 of their usual resource, Raindrops.

Once you've got the recipe and the required 50 Raindrops, you can craft Fast Flippers at either of the Crafting Tables in Seaside Resort or Gemstone Town. You only need your original Flippers and the 50 Raindrops to make Fast Flippers.

Are Fast Flippers worth it?

Swimming in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Screenshot by Destructoid

In a single word, yes. Fast Flippers dramatically increase your swimming speed both on the surface of the water and while diving. This is useful for underwater exploration because it means you'll be able to get further using less stamina.

The effect will also stack with character abilities and potions, so you can team up with Hangyodon, consume a Swimming Speed potion, and zip through the waters of Rainbow Reef at lightning speed.

Wearing the Zero Attire set in FFXIV

There's no shortage of optional glamour items available to purchase on the FFXIV Online Store. There really is something for everyone, regardless of personal styling preferences, and more items and sets are added all the time.

The latest set to be added to the Online Store on February 13 is a long-awaited addition — Zero's Attire. Now all players can fully emulate Zero's gothic look without resorting to grinding out endless runs of The Fell Court of Troia in the hopes of similar enough, but not quite perfect ,gear pieces.

Zero's outfit and hair on the FFXIV Online Store
Image via Square Enix

The set itself is stunning, I'll admit. It comes with four individual pieces, as opposed to some other NPC glamour sets that require you to wear the whole thing, although the gloves are connected to the chest piece, and the shoes are built-in with the pants, which is less than ideal.

On the plus side, it's fully dyeable with two dye slots, which is one-up on most of the previous NPC outfits when they were initially sold, although dye slots have since been added to a select few.

That sounds great, except that one of Zero's most recognizable features is conspicuously absent from the main set — her hair is sold separately.

It's not the first time we've seen this happen, but it is a relatively new idea for the FFXIV Online Store to sell hair completely separately as stand-alone items. Just over a month ago, G'raha Tia's outfit was added to the Online Store for purchase, with his hair coming separately as well. Previous to that, the NPC hairstyles always accompanied the outfit itself.

I'd consider myself pretty deeply entrenched within the FFXIV community, and yet I can't remember a single time when anybody asked for this. What I can remember is players asking for NPC glamours to come as individual pieces rather than a full-body set, but we were never talking about the hair.

Changing your hair and changing your glamour in FFXIV are entirely different features, each of which has its own limitations, particularly the glamour system. You can wear any glamour with any hair, that's always been the case. What we want is items like Gaia's frankly stunning heeled boots but without the need to wear the rest of the outfit in its entirety.

Regardless, if you want to get either of the parts of Zero's complete outfit, you can get them on the FFXIV Online Store now, and you can have both the hair and the outfit for $17. As salty as I sound, they are pretty nice and worth paying for if they fit your aesthetic. If you really want to go all in, you can even buy her Scythe as yet another separate item for $3.

The current Monopoly GO main event began on February 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET. Paw-fect Match is your first opportunity to receive Sweets Partners tokens, giving you an extra chance to get some dice rewards. Collecting these is the key to progressing far in this recurring minigame.

Golden Blitz - Inactive

  • Start Date: February 12, 2025
  • End Date: February 13, 2025

Monopoly GO's latest Golden Blitz event is currently inactive. The most recent iteration began in February and ended on February 13. These events only last 24 hours, giving you a limited time to arrange sticker trades. However, you can't trade golden cards outside these events, making them very important if you want to complete the current season's album. Here's a complete list of past Golden Blitz stickers if you want to plan for future events.

Special Event - Sweets Partners

  • Start Date: February 12, 2025
  • End Date: February 17, 2025

Monopoly GO's latest special event is Sweets Partners, a collaborative event where you and up to four other players partner up to build special structures and collect milestone prizes. Rather than competing against other players, you work together in pairs to obtain point tokens, spin a wheel, and advance through reward tiers ranging from dice and sticker packs to limited-time powerups. The grand prize is a Wild Sticker and an exclusive Valentine's-themed board token.

The previous event was a returning version of Peg-E's Prize Drop that features dice rewards. Rather than having multiple prize types, this one is entirely focused on rewarding you with dice. If you want a quick and easy way to farm a few hundred dice, this one is for you.

Monopoly GO Quick Wins list - February 13

Alongside your regular events and minigames, Monopoly GO also has a Quick Wins list that gives you a small amount of dice and cash. Each day, you can collect various milestone prizes for finishing all three Quick Wins, with a weekly prize usually consisting of five-star packs or Wild Stickers.

Here is today's Quick Wins list, updated on February 13, 2025.

Quick Win Rewards
Roll five times One-Star Sticker Pack
60 Sweets Partners tokens
Three progress points
Complete one Bank Heist Cash
80 Sweets Partners tokens
Four progress points
Upgrade one Landmark 15 Dice
110 Sweets Partners tokens

Monopoly GO Quick Wins list featured image

Monopoly GO's daily Quick Win tasks are among the most helpful ways to get dice, cash, and sticker packs as a new or experienced player. These rewards can make a huge difference between completing your seasonal sticker packs and being just a few cards short.

Today's Monopoly GO Quick Wins tasks and rewards

Monopoly GO has three Quick Win objectives you can complete daily. These are typically quick and easy tasks you can finish to gain some small rewards and advance through a weekly prize pool. While early week rewards are small, the grand prize is usually a Five-Star pack, Swap Pack, or a Wild Sticker if we're lucky.

Here's a complete list of today's Quick Win tasks and rewards, updated on February 13, 2025.

Quick Win Rewards
Roll five times One-Star Sticker Pack
60 Sweets Partners tokens
Three progress points
Complete one Bank Heist Cash
80 Sweets Partners tokens
Four progress points
Upgrade one Landmark 15 Dice
110 Sweets Partners tokens
Five progress points

What are Quick Win tasks?

Monopoly GO's Quick Wins are daily tasks you complete for weekly rewards. You'll receive five small prizes daily, including dice, low-tier sticker packs, or emojis. The end-of-week reward is the most valuable, ranging between a Five-Star pack, Swap Packs, or even a Wild Sticker.

Here are some Quick Win objectives you might encounter throughout your Monopoly GO playthrough:

  • Pass Go X times
  • Collect one sticker
  • Land on X space one time
  • Collect cash
  • Roll doubles X times
  • Upgrade X landmarks
  • Complete a Landmark Shutdown/Bank Heist X times

Since these are daily tasks, Scopely has designed them to be relatively easy to complete, even if you're a new player. However, you may still miss a few, especially if you're out of dice or don't get opportunities to open sticker packs.

How to find Monopoly GO's Quick Win task list

Monopoly GO Quick Wins button
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your Quick Wins list is available directly on your main Monopoly GO screen. After loading in and arriving on your board, tap the "Wins" button in the bottom left corner of your screen to find your Quick Win objectives. You'll also spot a timer until the list refreshes, your weekly progress, and a reward bar at the bottom of the screen.

How many Quick Wins can you miss?

In Monopoly GO, completing all three Quick Win objectives daily will grant you 84 progress points a week. You only need 74 points to get a week's grand prize, allowing you to miss up to ten points worth of tasks.

Monopoly GO Quick Wins points
Screenshot by Destructoid

However, one day gives you 12 points, so you can't miss a full day. Instead, you can have one day to complete the first task and skip the last two or two days to miss the third objective. As long as your missed tasks don't exceed ten progress points, you're in the clear for the week's end.

Tips for completing Monopoly GO Daily Quick Wins

Your exact strategies to finish your Quick Win tasks will depend on the day's objectives. While some days rely heavily on your dice rolls, others focus on upgrading landmarks and collecting stickers. That said, below are some tips for ensuring you complete all three of your daily Quick Win tasks and get your weekly grand prize:

  • Log on every day, even for a few minutes. Missing one day automatically locks you out of the weekly grand prize until the following week!
  • Try to finish your objectives early in the day so you don't forget about them later.
  • Plan your dice rolling, sticker trading, and money spending carefully. If you upgrade your landmarks before it appears as a Quick Win task, there's a chance you won't be able to finish it unless you have enough dice to collect more cash.
  • If you're not active in the sticker trading community, ask a friend or family member to swap one-star cards for sticker-collecting tasks.
  • If you run out of dice and need to complete a task like passing Go or rolling doubles, use resources like events, tournaments, and free dice links to obtain some more.

Good luck finishing your Quick Wins and grabbing some weekly prizes. Whether you're completing a Partners event or want to snag a five-star pack, hopping on and completing these is one of the easiest ways to get valuables items each week, especially if you're a new player who doesn't have access to thousands of dice and tens of thousands of levels worth of profile upgrades.

How do Races Work in Verse Piece

Races in Verse Piece give you specific passive bonuses just like traits do. Races don't increase your stats, but they can multiply your damage and give you some unique buffs. For example, the Vampire race lets you lifesteal health back when dealing damage. Also, rerolling your race is a lot more difficult because you need Race Rerolls to do that.

How to Reroll Races

  • Adventure Shop location in Verse Piece
  • Adventure Shop menu in Verse Piece
  • Race storage and Race Rerolls as shown in the materials inventory in Verse Piece

You can reroll your race by using Race Reroll materials from your inventory. When rerolling, you will have to confirm if you want to reroll a Legendary, Mythical, or Exotic race. You can get Race Rerolls either by opening chests, fishing, trading, buying them from the Adventure Shop NPC, or by redeeming Verse Piece codes.

How to Store Races

To store your race in Verse Piece, you will first need to expand your race storage. For this, you will need a Race Storage material, which can be obtained in the same way as Race Rerolls. With at least one unlocked slot in your race storage, you can then click on the race in your inventory to switch it out with the race currently on you.

Verse Piece Race Progression

In the beginning, try to get either Reaper or Arrancar so that you can improve the damage of your Sword and Fruit. Once you get a bit more Race Rerolls, try to get either Demonic, Vessel, or Vampire. If you are lucky early, or if you start obtaining more and more Race Rerolls, try to aim either for Contractor, Shadow, or Dragonic, as they are the best races in Verse Piece.

That concludes our Verse Piece race guide and tier list. If you want to check out more of our VP content, then visit the Verse Piece section of Destructoid.

A player using the Cid V2's F move, Atomic, in Verse Piece Roblox Experience

Swords in Verse Piece are your best damage option in the late game. However, some swords are straight out better than others. One of those swords is Cid V2, and what's even better is that grinding for it is very straightforward. So, if you want to know how to get the Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece, follow our guide below.

What is the Cid V2 Sword in Verse Piece

  • Preview of the Cid V2's M1 combo in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Cid V2's Z move in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Cid V2's X move in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Cid V2's C move in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Cid V2's V move in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Preview of the Cid V2's F move in Verse Piece Roblox experience

The Cid V2 sword is one of the most powerful swords you can have in Verse Piece. Overall, Cid V2's kit has more damage than Sung Jin Woo's, but its M1s deal slightly less damage. Another thing with Cid V2 is that its V and F moves have very long animations. Still, Cid V2 is the easiest to get meta sword in Verse Piece because of how easy it is to clear the Shadow Castle Dungeon.

Move Details
Z (41,900 Damage) You do several slashes around you
X (51,900 Damage) You slam and then make a flurry of slashes around you
C (42,800 Damage) You become invulnerable and start slashing in a huge area around you
V (62,800 Damage) After a brief channeling, you spawn a huge tornado with beams coming from the ground, dealing massive damage
F (134,100 Damage) After a very long cutscene animation, you basically detonate a nuke around you

How to Get Cid V2 Sword in Verse Piece

In Verse Piece, you can get the Cid V2 sword by interacting with the Cid's NPC at the top of the clock tower in Frost Town. However, you will need the following materials to obtain it: Cid V1 sword, 10k Gems, 2 Cid's Eyes, Shadow King trait, and the Shadow Garden title. Gems are most easily farmed by defeating bosses in the Verse Piece Dungeons. For each of the other materials needed for Cid V2, we dedicated a separate section further in the guide.

How to Farm Shadow Fragments

Shadow Fragments in Verse Piece drop from enemies inside the Shadow Castle Dungeon. However, you get a lot more Shadow Fragments per run when clearing the Shadow Castle Dungeon on the Hard difficulty. On average, you will get around 300 Shadow Fragments per run, which takes around a minute to complete. At that rate, you can purchase most of the Cid V2 components in around half an hour of grinding the Verse Piece Shadow Castle Dungeon.

How to Get the Cid V1 Sword

There are two ways to get the Cid V1 sword in Verse Piece. First is by purchasing Cid V1 from the Event Exchange NPC on Starter Island for 1000 Shadow Fragments. The other way is to hope to get it from the Cid Boss in the Shadow Castle Dungeon. However, the odds of that happening are only 1%. On average, it takes four Shadow Castle Dungeon runs on hard difficulty to get enough Shadow Fragments and buy Cid V1 without having to rely on luck.

How to Grind for Cid's Eyes

Similar to the Cid V1 sword, Cid's Eyes can drop from the Cid Boss in Shadow Castle Dungeon on Hard difficulty. However, it is better to purchase Cid's Eyes at the same Event Exchange NPC for 2500 Shadow Fragments. Keep in mind that you need two Cid's Eyes for the Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece, and the maximum amount of Shadow Fragments you can have at a time is 2500. So, you will have to leave the dungeon to purchase one Eye and then continue to grind for another.

Rerolling the Shadow King Trait

The Shadow King trait can be obtained by rerolling your traits at the Trait Reroll NPC in Frost Town. However, keep in mind that the Shadow King trait is an Exotic trait in Verse Piece, which means you only have a 0.025% chance to get it. For that, you will need a lot of Gems potentially, so make sure to either sell your excess materials at the Adventure Shop or farm some Boss Rush dungeons.

Obtaining the Shadow Garden Title

To get the Shadow Garden title in Verse Piece, complete the Shadow Castle Dungeon 10 times on the Hard difficulty. You shouldn't try to aim for this title, as you will get it simply by farming for the Cid V1 sword and the Cid's Eyes. Also, you don't need to equip the title before heading to the Cid's NPC and claiming the Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece.

How to Upgrade the Cid V2 Sword in Verse Piece

You can upgrade the Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece by talking to the Blacksmith NPC on Blacksmith Isle. Each upgrade has a 10% chance of success, and it costs you one Enhance Stone to try your luck with it. On average, you need around 50 Enhance Stones to upgrade Cid V2 fully. Enhance Stones drop from any chest in Verse Piece. However, the best way to farm Enhance Stones is by fishing.

That sums up everything you need to know on how to get the Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece. If you are looking to really round out your build in the late game, then check out our Verse Piece race and trait passives guides.

Avowed Companions

When I first stepped into Avowed's wondrous world during my preview, I was mesmerized by its ever-changing combat system and breathtakingly beautiful world. I was sure that it would have the makings of one of the best RPGs of 2025, and now that statement holds true with my full playthrough.

Obsidian Entertainment has once again released a masterpiece, continuing the phenomenon that is the Pillars of Eternity series. Although Avowed isn't the third entry of the series that we had hoped for, it still captures the look and feel of this franchise by bringing us back to the enchanting world of Eora. Even if you aren't familiar with Eora and the events of POE, you don't have to worry about getting lost in its lore, as Avowed is more or less considered a standalone piece. Avowed begins like any other dark fantasy, where the threat of great evil plagues the world, corrupting animals, people, and the Living Lands. As both a Godlike and the Envoy of Aedyr, you must use your deity powers to end a contagion known as "Dreamscourge."

Avowed (PC, Xbox Series X|S [reviewed])

Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Publisher: Xbox Game Studios

Released: February 18, 2025

MSRP: $69.99

You can think of Dreamscourge as a zombified fungal plague with a fantasy twist, similar to The Last of Us' Clickers, but slightly more colorful. While their designs are pretty grotesque to look at (that opening shot of an infected creature still haunts me), there is some beauty in it. Particularly, the Godlike features shown in character customization allow you to use this fungal-like design to create a hero unlike any other. This mechanic alone is one of the reasons why Avowed's customization is different from other games, placing vibrant spores on your face and hair. It can be a bit distracting, but fortunately, you can turn it off to get a good old-fashioned RPG character look, should you wish.

There are classic role-playing backgrounds, from an Arcane Scholar to a War Hero. Each origin story heavily influences the dialogue choices you get, which can either benefit you or lead to some trouble. Regardless of the background you choose, everyone receives the same starting weapon and equipment. There will be plenty of tools to unlock during the beginning stages, which I immensely enjoyed as someone who often has difficulty picking a single one.

The diverse array of weapons, abilities, and classes is exactly why I hold Avowed in such high regard. Too often, we are restricted to our classes in RPGs, limiting our strategies and making the experience feel tedious with the same tools over and over again. Avowed plays out much differently, where you can switch between loadouts and combine weapons that usually never mix together. A perfect example of this is my go-to "Wizard with a Gun" build that places a grimoire in one hand and a gun in the other. It made me feel like I was playing a Call of Duty-like fantasy RPG, a concept that I never would've imagined before playing Avowed.

Fighting an enemy in Avowed
Screenshot by Destructoid

When this build didn't come in handy for specific combat scenarios, I would just switch to my other loadout to better fit the situation. Is there an enemy too far away? Just swiftly change it to your bow and arrow loadout, and voilà, you are now a wizard-turned-archer. I've said it once before in my preview, and I'll say it again: this mechanic is something I've always desired in RPGs, and all video games, for that matter. I've run into too many scenarios where I wished I had a bow and arrow or some magic to take advantage of an enemy's weakness. With Avowed, I don't have any problems with this, especially since you can hold a ton of weapons at your disposal and swiftly send things over to the camp with a simple click of a button. Being encumbered has always been the bane of my existence, but thankfully, it won't be an issue in this title.

Though you'll have plenty of weapons to use, enemies can still be overwhelmingly brutal. I felt fairly confident in the beginning stages of Dawnshore until I reached the ruthlessness of the second region, Emerald Stair. This area makes the game a lot more challenging than it already is, but there's no shame in lowering the difficulty when the going gets tough. I'll admit I was struggling on Easy mode at this point, despite grinding and collecting upgraded gear. It just goes to show how challenging Avowed can be, whether with a significant increase in enemy numbers or the sheer strength of one opponent's strike. I'm sure many Pillars of Eternity fans will appreciate it, given that POE and POE 2's combat experience was definitely harsh at times but still satisfying when you come out victorious.

On the bright side, you'll have the help of your four companions in Avowed, all of whom have distinct powers to add to their uniqueness. While Kai can clear out debris with his fiery skill, Marius can ease the stress of the hunt by showing points of interest nearby. Giatta is my personal favorite, as she has helped me out of a pinch more times than I can count. Support characters can sometimes be a hit or miss (I'm looking at you, Donald Duck from Kingdom Hearts), and Giatta certainly falls under the former. Companions, altogether, are an eccentric bunch that frequently conversate with each other at camp and in battle. I found myself listening to their conversations many times, as it provided much more insight into their backgrounds and personalities.

Speaking to Giatta in Avowed
Screenshot by Destructoid

One aspect that I particularly enjoyed about the teammates is how they put in their two cents during major decisions. Every time I was stumped on a choice, there was typically an option to ask for their opinion on the matter. If I wanted someone who was a bit more level-headed with decisions, I would go for Kai. But, if I felt like being chaotic, I would see what wild thing Yatzli had to say.

I was impressed at how impactful decisions ended up being in Avowed's storyline. There are a lot of opportunities to be evil or good, affecting how characters react to you and the outcome of quests. Even a minor choice you make during the tutorial phase influences a future side quest, either making it easier to complete or adding another objective to the pile. Companions will also comment on how you approach specific situations, expressing their feelings towards your actions.

Besides the decisions, I was also surprised by how much is packed into Avowed's map, where not even 25+ hours could scratch the surface. I was always getting caught up in its many side quests, including deciphering treasure maps and helping the locals take out a formidable foe. Plus, free-roaming events frequently appear that don't tie into any specific mission; they're just there to give you more content. I was walking around and stumbled upon some folks gravedigging, which led me to a powerful new tool by the end.

Region of Emerald Stair
Screenshot by Destructoid

You'll encounter a significant amount of these scenarios wherever you go, and it's made exploration much more inviting. I like having an extensive map with hidden treasures and storylines rather than one that looks big and beautiful but somehow feels empty. This is not to say that Avowed's world isn't visually pleasing because it is, as every region comes with its own unique charm and environmental features.

There are many more topics I could go on about the game, but it's probably best for you to experience it for yourself. Avowed is one of the best RPGs I've played in 2025, and I'm not even much of a role-playing genre fanatic. If that's convinced you enough, hop into the game on Xbox Game Pass Day One or PC.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Twitch Drop rewards

Twitch and developer Warhorse Games have combined forces to reward viewers with exclusive drops for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and here's how to get them.

For some years now, Twitch users have been able to claim Twitch Drops for games they play. Such content can include exclusive skins, armor, outfits, weapons, and much more. These limited-time campaigns run only a short while and require only you to watch a participating game being played. In some cases, you may need to jump through multiple hoops first.

Sign up and watch to claim Kingdom Come 2 Twitch Drops

There are many steps to climb on the way to your drops. The quick-and-dirty instructions are below, but read on for more details:

  • Create a Twitch account
  • Create an account at PROS
  • Watch a participating Twitch Drops channel long enough to earn a reward
  • Connect to your PROS account via Kingdom Come 2's in-game menu
  • Complete the story mission Laboratores
  • Check your personal loot chest for the rewards

You must have a Twitch account to claim Twitch Drops for Kingdom Come 2. Of course. If you don't have an account, head to Twitch and sign up.

Once that step is finished, navigate to the Drops & Rewards page by clicking on your user icon at the top-right of the screen and choose "Drops & Rewards" from the drop-down menu. Now, click on "All Campaigns" and select Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in the list. If it's not there, that means the campaign has ended.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - Twitch Drop rewards - campaigns page at Twitch

The Rewards menu includes DLC you can earn and instructions. For the most part, all you need to do is find a Twitch channel participating in the campaign. Typically, streamers with Twitch Drops enabled will include that info in their stream title. Check the "How to Earn the Drop" section to see how much you must watch to earn each reward. For those who want to avoid spoilers, leaving a stream running on a TV or laptop in the background at the lowest resolution is a decent idea.

How to add Twitch Drop content to Kingdom Come 2

To add earned content to your game, the Kingdom Come 2 Twitch Drops campaign requires you to sign up at an intermediary website called PROS. After creating an account, click the purple Connect button on the Twitch Drop campaign page and sign in to PROS (if you need to). Click the Inventory tab on the Drops & Rewards page to view your progress. Once you watch a participating channel enough to earn a reward, click the white Claim Now button on the item's icon to acquire it.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: a villager carrying a sword looks towards the camera, as soldiers and other villagers mill about in the background.

Things are going pretty well for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the follow-up to Warhorse Studios' pretty successful 2018 RPG. In fact, it looks as though the new sequel is already due to hit a pretty significant milestone, and so soon after release, as well.

According to the latest financial report from Embracer Group, Deliverance 2 not only sold well after it launched – selling a million copies in the first 24 hours – it's also said to be "fast approaching" the two million mark.

https://twitter.com/embracergroup/status/1889924036244771044

The report goes on to say that it's had an "especially strong performance on Steam." Indeed, when checking the latest figures from SteamDB, we can see the game peaked at 256,206 concurrent players a few days ago. At the time of writing, things are going swimmingly with over 140,000 players in-game.

Embracer also says the company believes "the game will continue to generate substantial revenues over the coming years," with a focus on "quality, immersion, and appeal."

Mods on their way, as well

This notion of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's ongoing success being based on things like immersion is an interesting one. Especially when you take into account that Warhorse recently announced official mod support is on the way.

A recent post on Steam from the developer doesn't go into great detail about modding the game but does promise "more details on how you'll be able to create, tweak, and expand your medieval adventure." Keep an eye out for updates on that front. In any case, it's going to be interesting to see how people are going to be modding the game going forward.

If you haven't played it yet, Deliverance 2 carries the story on from the first game, putting you back into the boots of Henry. Actually, if you do want a quick reminder of what happened in the original Kingdom Come before you step into the sequel, you can check out the handy Story Recap video.

best project mugetsu clans tier list

Updated on February 13, 2025: Reworked the Tier List for Update 2.5

There are a lot of clans in Project Mugetsu that are great when combined with a specific race but there are also some that are generally powerful. I'll be taking a look at all clans and rating their power, flexibility, and whether they're broken or should just be rerolled. Here's my Project Mugetsu clans tier list.

Best Clans in Project Mugetsu

project mugetsu clans tier list

I'll be ranking clans in Project Mugetsu from the Meta SSS tier and S-Tier all the way to D and Reroll tiers. Note that most of the competitive community is using Mythics and War Powers at minimum so you should aim for War Powers or higher as soon as possible. Here's what each tier means:

  • SSS Tier: Filled with Meta clans that are either overpowered overall or have broken abilities. Stick with these clans.
  • S Tier: The second most powerful set of clans. Don't reroll these clans unless you have a Robux clan save slot.
  • A Tier: Strong but more specific and dependent on your race to be S-Tier.
  • B Tier: Highly race-specific clans or those that are underpowered compared to the higher ranks.
  • C Tier: Extremely underpowered clans that could use a buff.
  • D Tier: Fine to start out with your first 5 rolls but I would reroll as soon as you can for higher tiers.
  • Reroll Tier: It's worth it to reroll Uncommon clans for at least Rare ones in your first 5 rolls and Common clans don't give any benefits.

Most of these are objective ratings but keep in mind that some are subjective and bound to change and personal preference. Let's highlight some of the main clans for each tier in more detail.

SSS Tier Clan Highlights

Name Rarity and Roll Chance Ranking Reason
Yhwach Transcendent (0.005%) Probably one if not the strongest clan in the game due to the Almighty skill that just lets you avoid M1 damage 20% of the time. Also, you can just recover from a one shot with a single skill.
Gojo Transcendent (0.005%) Between the chance to dodge M1s, the massive AOE Domain slow for free comboes, and the Hollow Purple nuke, this might be one of the best offensive clans in the game. The best part is that it works with any race.
Haschwalth War Powers (0.1%) Haschwalth punches way above its rarity and is easly the best War Power for two reasons. First, the Lesser Almighty is incredibly powerful for avoding damage. Second, the Scales of Balance are a broken ability that swaps your HP with your opponent so if they almost one shot you, you pop this and now they're about to be one shot.
Ikomikidomoe Transcendent (0.005%) Crushing Spiritual Pressure is so good and the eating buffs make this the best Hollow progression clan in the game.

S Tier Clan Highlights

Name Rarity and Roll Chance Ranking Reason
Uryu War Powers (0.1%) There's a lot to like here but the most broken ability is Antithesis that just heals you back to full if you're one shot or take a lot of damage.
Ginjo War Powers (0.1%) Just an excellent mix of powerful abilities for both PVP and PVE but it's focused a bit on Fullbringers so if you're not using that it drops off.
Zaraki and Kurosaki War Powers (0.1%) Excellent PVP clans that pretty much do a similar thing it's just that Zaraki is focused on its M1 mode for crazy sustained M1 damage and Kurosaki is focused on Mugetsu for that burst damage.
Urahara War Powers (0.1%) One of the best PVE clans because of the potions ability to make them cheaper and you get a lot of Spiritual Pressure for grinding.
Joestar War Powers (0.1%) Just a set of powerful buffs that are great for any race but not broken. The Time Stop isn't as good as you might think because it's easily exploited but that's not what makes Joestar good, it's all about those various buffs that combine into a strong clan.
Nimaiya Transcendent (0.005%) While it can slightly compete with other War Powers, Nimaiya is easily the weakest Transcendent and even some War Powers are better but it's still a decently strong general clan for no specific race.

A Tier Clan Highlights

Name Rarity and Roll Chance Ranking Reason
Starrk War Powers (0.1%) You'll see that a lot of A-Tiers are specifically really powerful and Starrk is the first focusing on using Los Lobos (Guns). Otherwise, there's not much point in playing him.
Le Vaar War Powers (0.1%) Powerful if you have Deathdealing similar to Arruruerie's focus on Menoscar.
Arruruerie Mythic (1%) Incredibly powerful if you're going for Menoscar so focus on that, otherwise it's a much lower tier.
Tu Odelschwanck War Powers (0.1%) Excellent buffs to Sonido and Cero that make it pretty competitive.

B Tier Clan Highlights

Name Rarity and Roll Chance Ranking Reason
Cifer Mythic (1%) I wanted Cifer to be higher but it's just a decent set of passives with a strong Cero, nothing worthy of A-Tier. Still, it's a pretty great Mythic.
Gilga Mythic (1%) One of the best Mythic for Hollows.
Shihoin and Unohana Legendary (4%) While these are pretty great Legendaries, almost everyone I see is using War Powers so Mythics and Legendaries fall off quite fast. I would recommend rolling for a WP as soon as you can.

That's it for my Project Mugetsu clans tier list. Check out our Project Mugetsu codes for free goodies to get you started.

Warframe Lavos Prime build

Lavos Prime is here, and if you want a build for the dark alchemist to take on most of the content offered in Warframe, we have you covered. Below is a build that will consist of mods, subsumed abilities, Archon Shards, and weapon choices.

This is going to be a late-game build in Warframe, given that some mods and setups are not available until after Whispers in the Walls.

Best Lavos Prime build in Warframe

This build will turn Lavos more into a weapons platform. Since his abilities are more about inflicting status effects or having utility, this will make builds that use Galvanized mods or Condition Overload very powerful.

So, to start, here's a mod setup for Lavos Prime:

Aura: Corrosive Projection

Exilus: Sure Footed

Warframe Lavos Prime mods
Screenshot by Destructoid

Mods:

  • Catalyzing Shields
  • Augur Reach
  • Rolling Guard
  • Fortitude
  • Stretch
  • Fast Deflection
  • Vigilante Vigor
  • Streamline

Arcanes

  • Arcane Aegis
  • The second Arcane slot can be put in with anything for your playstyle.

This setup will seem unconventional since you're using a lot of shield-recharging mods and Catalyzing Shields to exploit shield gating essentially. It's strong even after nerfs, just to prevent full immunity.

You only need some range and efficiency so that your abilities can connect with more enemies and be cast more often, synergizing with Transmutation Probe.

Best subsume abilities for Lavos Prime

For this build specifically, here are the following abilities you can use. It's also best to replace Vial Rush since it can disrupt the flow of this build.

  • Lycath's Hunt - If you plan on using weapons with several elemental damage types on them, this will be the best choice.
  • Nourish - You can never go wrong with this ability. All your weapons get Viral, plus you get the occasional AoE burst.
  • Wyrd Scythes - This is like a Viral damage version of Catalyze that primes enemies with guaranteed elemental procs. Since you remove cold for Vial Rush, this is a good alternative.

Warframe Lavos Prime shards
Screenshot by Destructoid

Best Archon Shards for Lavos Prime

Since Lavos acts as a weapons platform for this build or an elementalist, these are good uses for each shard. Mix and match to your liking with these abilities:

  • Crimson: All embed bonuses
  • Amber: Casting Speed
  • Emerald: Increase max stacks of Corrosive Status by +2(+3 Tauforged)
  • Topaz: Increase Secondary Critical Chance by 1%(1.5% Tauforged) every time you kill an enemy affected by Heat status.
  • Violet: Gain 30%(45% Tauforged) Primary Electricity Damage.

Best weapons for Lavos Prime

These weapons are the best ones to use because they can inflict several status effects and benefit greatly from elemental damage stack builds.

  • Acceltra (Prime)
  • Alternox
  • Amprex
  • Arca Plasmor (Tenet)
  • Astilla (Prime)
  • Basmu
  • Bubonico
  • Cedo (Prime)
  • Cinta
  • Corinth (Prime)
  • Felarx
  • Tenet Glaxion
  • Fulmin (Prime)
  • Gotva Prime
  • Higasa
  • Ignis Wraith
  • Lenz (Prisma)
  • Phage
  • Phantasma (Prime)
  • Shedu
  • Synapse
  • Tenet Flux Rifle
  • Torit
  • Trumna (Prime)
  • Akarius (Prime)
  • Atomos
  • Tenet Cycron
  • Epitaph (Prime)
  • Grimoire
  • Laetum
  • Ocucor
  • Plinx (Tenet)
  • Spectra Vandal
  • Staticor
  • Any melee weapon with a status chance above 20%

Lavos Prime build playstyle

Playing this Lavos Prime build requires good timing and placement of your abilities and survivability.

You can take a good amount of damage before the Shield Gating stops working. Once your shield stops charging or when your health bar becomes gray, perform a dodge roll right after the Shield Gate wears off to activate the invincibility of Rolling Guard. This will refresh the recharge loop for Shield Gating to work again.

While fighting enemies, cycle your abilities to inflict unique status effects, with Transmutation Probe being cast last. Doing so in a crowd of enemies can reduce the cooldown of your abilities significantly.

Spreading procs will make all enemies susceptible to damage if you have Galvanized Savvy, Galvanized Shot, or Condition Overload.

Survivability and spreading elements is good for solo play and group play, being more of a support role.

A player posing next to Vergil in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Traits are one of the essential parts of your character progression in Verse Piece. Traits boost your damage and increase your stats, while some allow you to unlock weapons that make leveling a breeze. Find out which traits to go for when rerolling with our Verse Piece traits guide down below!

Verse Piece Trait Tier List

Verse Piece traits tier list for the Vergil Rerun update that goes as follows: S+ tier: Monarch, Rejected Zenin S tier: Betrayer, Chosen One A tier: Demon Lord, Shadow King, The Alpha and The Omega, Rage Revenge, Fisherman, Honored One, Soul Punisher B tier: Zenin, Heavenly Restriction, King, Zoldyck, God-Like, Spiritual, Armageddon C tier: Divine, Special Master, Weapon Master, Hunter Dawn, Super Human, Super Neutral

Defense stat bonuses are exponentially stronger if you pair them up with a race such as Half Cyborg.

How do Traits Work in Verse Piece?

In Verse Piece, traits multiply your damage no matter what Weapon, Spec, or Fruit you are using. This increase in damage becomes much more noticeable when you boost them with the right trait passives. Most traits in Verse Piece increase your stats as well. Some traits give you titles, like the Honored One, while others, such as Zenin and Heavenly Restriction, are used to acquire Maki and Toji weapons.

How to Get Traits in Verse Piece

The Reroll Trait NPC in Verse Piece
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can reroll traits in Verse Piece by paying five gems to the Traits Reroll NPC. You can find them on the Frost Town island. There is a safety feature when rerolling that requires you to confirm if you want to reroll Legendary, Mythic, or Exotic traits, so reroll without worries. You can see your current trait in Verse Piece, the damage multiplier, and the stat points it gives you in your character menu.

How to Store Traits in Verse Piece

In Verse Piece, if you want to save one of the traits you rolled for later use in getting a weapon or a spec that requires it, you can store it in your trait storage. Keep in mind that you first need to unlock trait storage slots by using the Trait Storage material.

You can purchase Trait Storage from the Adventure Shop on the Merchant Island or trade for it with someone. Later, you will want to have at least one trait storage slot because it allows you to save your current trait before rerolling.

Verse Piece Trait Progression

When you just start out in the Verse Piece world, try to get traits like God-Like or Spiritual because of the stat boost they provide. For the mid-game, Zenin and Heavenly Restriction boost your damage while allowing you to obtain legendary-tier weapons, so go for them. However, later on, Mythic and Exotic tier traits are the way to go if you want to stay competitive in Verse Piece.

Honored One is the best Mythic trait because of the title you get with it, while Rage Revenge offers slightly more damage. Your end-game goals should be Monarch, Rejected Zenin, and the Betrayer, as they are the best traits in Verse Piece.

This is it for our Verse Piece traits guide. If you are looking to claim some freebies, including free Race Rerolls and Storage, then check out our list of Verse Piece codes.

Wuthering Waves Sonata Effects

It is your Resonators that make up the heart of your account in Wuthering Waves, and having the strongest ones can make all the difference when tackling the game's most diabolical challenges. If you're wondering who's worth pulling or saving up your precious resources for, here's a breakdown of the best characters in the game.

Best Characters in Wuthering Waves

This list isn't strictly ranked from best to worst, but in general, the characters near the top tend to have a stronger impact on most teams compared to those further down. However, Wuthering Waves is a game where synergy is king, and the right team composition can make any Resonator feel like a top-tier pick. Some characters thrive in specific setups, while others are more universally powerful. Just because someone is lower on the list doesn't mean they won't be a game-changer in the right hands. Keep that in mind as I go through the best Resonators the game has to offer.

Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper in Wuthering Waves

Shorekeeper is the ultimate team buffer in Wuthering Waves, elevating your squad's damage output to incredible heights. While she does provide decent healing, her real strength lies in boosting Crit Value, covering both Crit Rate and Crit DMG, which turns any DPS character into a powerhouse. Her only catch is that her Concerto generation starts off slow in a team rotation, but once she gets going, it's smooth sailing from there. If you want your team to hit harder than ever before, Shorekeeper is a must-have for your account.

Camellya

Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Camellya is an AoE damage dealer that doesn't mess around and doesn't have many limitations Unlike Jiyan, who is incredibly reliant on his Resonance Liberation, Camellya doesn't rely on her Resonance Liberation to dish out massive damage. Instead, her Resonance Skill is an easy-access nuke that makes her one of the hardest hitters in the game. Her lightning-fast Concerto generation allows for a rapid, high-action playstyle that rewards skillful swapping in the right hands. While she's easy to pick up and deal serious damage with, true mastery of her playstyle requires effort because many of her attack chains rely upon channels, which can be dangerous against certain enemies.

With her Sequences, particularly S2 and S6, she doesn't just compete in DPS, she dominates, especially at S6. Her Concerto is mainly used to boost her own DPS, but because she gets it so fast, high-skill players may find ways to use it for swapping instead of empowering her nuke.

Carlotta

Carlotta in Wuthering Waves

Carlotta brings the highest single-target damage in Wuthering Waves, all while maintaining a safe distance as a ranged DPS. Her ability to freeze enemies with her Resonance Skill, even bosses without diminishing returns, gives her an edge in crowd control. She's already powerful at S0, but upgrading her to S2 or S3 makes her an absolute force to be reckoned with, dramatically improving her sustained DPS. The best part? Her ranged attacks mean she can avoid a lot of the dangers that melee DPS face, giving her a distinct advantage in high-difficulty content.

Jinhsi

Jinhsi in Wuthering Waves

Jinhsi wields one of the largest, easiest-to-access nukes in the game thanks to her Resonance Skill. Her Concerto generation speed might not be the quickest, but with the sheer power of her Era of Unity mechanism, she doesn't need to rely on it for Intro/Outro swaps. She fits into both quickswap and hypercarry compositions, making her incredibly versatile. Her airborne playstyle doesn't just look cool; it actively negates enemy attacks from grounded foes, trivializing some encounters like the Crownless. If you're looking for a high-damage character that can handle a variety of situations, Jinhsi is a top pick.

Verina

Verina in Wuthering Waves

Verina is the second-best support buffer in the game, though in some team comps, she's the absolute best. While she doesn't enhance Crit Value like Shorekeeper, she makes up for it with significantly stronger healing and a massive ATK% buff. Her Concerto rotation is also one of the fastest in the entire game, especially at S2, ensuring she can enable Intro-based teammates rapidly and keep the team in top form. She also offers low-damage Coordinated Attacks, which can be a game-changer for certain compositions. Best of all? She's free to obtain through the Character Selector all players are given at the start of the game, making her an easy recommendation for any player.

Zhezhi

Zhezhi in Wuthering Waves

Zhezhi is a top-tier support who excels at buffing two of the best DPS characters in the game, Carlotta and Jinhsi, thanks to her Outro Buff. She also brings high-damage Coordinated Attacks and some of the fastest Concerto generation around. Like Jinhsi, she can stay airborne for most of her rotation, making her nearly untouchable in certain fights. Her inherent skill, Flourish, allows her to battery her teammates' Resonance Liberation, ensuring they always have their most powerful moves ready. If built correctly, she can even be a main DPS in her own right.

Sanhua

Sanhau in Wuthering Waves

Sanhua is a free-to-earn character who brings the absolute fastest Concerto generation in the game. This allows teammates to activate their Intro Skills at an incredibly rapid pace. Her rotation is quick and efficient, dealing strong burst damage while setting up the rest of the team. She also provides a direct buff to Camellya, one of the strongest DPS units available, through her Outro Skill. If you need sub-DPS who enables rapid Intro swaps and smooth team synergy, Sanhua is a fantastic universal option for any team comp.

Xiangli Yao

Xiangli Yao in Wuthering Waves

Xiangli Yao is a limited-time free character with an incredibly reliable freeze mechanic that locks enemies in place. His sustained DPS output is strong, and his burst potential via Resonance Liberation ensures he's always a threat. He's easy to use, highly effective, and comes with substantial crowd-control capabilities. If you were lucky enough to grab him during his release window (version 1.2), you have a character who can keep enemies at bay while dealing solid damage. Don't hesitate to build him if you require a top-tier DPS.

Taylor Lautner in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1

Taylor Lautner, perhaps best known for his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight movies, is set to return to his glory days of werewolves (sadly, no vampires have been confirmed) in the newly announced upcoming Amazon series Taylor Lautner: Vampire Hunter

Let's face it, while Lautner has gone on to feature in a few movies and TV series since his breakout role as Black (Grown Ups 2, The Ridiculous 6, Home Team), he is definitely remembered most as part of the will-they-won't-they love triangle between a werewolf, a vampire, and an infuriatingly moody teenage girl.

Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson in the Twilight movies
Image via Summit Entertainment

In what seems like an attempt to bring back his now grown-up fans, Variety has revealed that Lautner will be starring in a new series… As himself.

Brought to Amazon by Tornante (the studio behind Bojack Horseman, which gives me some hope), Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter will bizarrely follow on from Lautner's appearance in the Twilight films (in a fourth-wall-breaking kind of way), with Lautner wrapping up filming on Breaking Dawn Part 2 before teaming up with a "real-life" team or werewolf hunters to, I'm assuming, save the world from the lycanthrope threat.

There are several levels of irony here, not least of which is the fact that the series will center on Lautner fighting the very creatures that made him famous. There's also set to be a love story (hopefully with someone more palatable than Bella), and still maintaining his Hollywood career during the day.

Taylor Lautner in the Twlight movies
Image via Summit Entertainment

Honestly, the final aspect might be a bit of a stretch. Lautner has had arguably the least significant Hollywood presence of the main Twilight cast since the last movie wrapped, but that's why the Bojack connection makes me hopeful. Bojack Horseman is a masterpiece of a tragicomedy, very much centered on the storyline of a struggling former star who has lost his way, so fingers crossed Amazon can pull this off.

The main protagonists of GTA VI

During a recent interview meant to answer questions about Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two Interactive's CEO delivered a scathing rebuke to the enduring opinion that video games might inspire their players to commit violent acts. As one of the "video gamers" mainstream media seems to fear, I found his bluntness refreshing.

Strauss Zelnick is confident GTA 6 won't drive people to commit copy-cat crimes

Grand Theft Auto GTA 5 pointing from behind cover
Image via Steam

As part of the hype for the upcoming release of GTA 6, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick sat down for an interview on CNBC's Squawk Box program (the interview's paywalled, so I'm getting a lot of my information from VideoGamer, who covered it) The discussion touched on a few interesting subjects, including how the company has dealt with the new administration's tariffs on overseas imports and the publisher's stance on using artificial intelligence in game design.

Eventually, the interviewer asked if Zelnik was worried that GTA VI could drive its players to commit acts of violence in the real world. Only someone tired of answering this question could craft an answer like Zelnik's. After clarifying that he "wasn't worried" about GTA VI fans going out and destroying snowmen, he dropped his opinion on the "Do violent video games cause violence?" debate like it was a chunk of red-hot lava.

Well, to be clear, entertainment doesn't create behaviour. Entertainment reflects behaviour. Entertainment gives people an opportunity to release feelings and engage in feelings. Entertainment tells stories. The notion entertainment creating behaviour has been tested and disproved over and over again. We have a test case: when you watch TV and movies of any times they're very realistic looking so I'm not worried about photorealistic video games

GTA has always been the poster child of the violent video game debate

Michael in GTA V
Image via Rockstar

The debate over violent video games has been raging for decades, and GTA has always been a prominent topic of discussion. Every GTA game has had its turn in the pillory, accused by pundits and politicians of inspiring horrific acts of violence. I still remember the days when Jack Thompson, ex-lawyer and anti-video game crusader extraordinaire, was filing rapid-fire lawsuits against Take-Two, warning cable news viewers their kids will become killers if they play GTA, and even sending mean-spirited letters to Strauss Zelnick's mother.

Research into the supposed link between violent video games and real-world acts of aggression, like this one by the University of Oxford, has thoroughly disproven the notion that playing violent video games makes people violent. Unfortunately, most anti-video game commentators are allergic to facts, and I'm willing to bet the issue will rear its ugly head again when GTA VI finally comes out. Hopefully, responses like Zelnick's will help this frustrating false debate back to the retirement home.

a lootbox in Overwatch

General sentiment has been down on Overwatch since the number 2 was added to it. A lot of the reasons why are completely valid. But it always felt like a Bizarro-world take that one of the problems was the REMOVAL of Loot Boxes. Blizzard's corrected that now.

In a massive presentation announcing most of Overwatch 2's plans for the year, Blizzard discussed a lot of upcoming content. New heroes, new modes, and a new Perks system for the main game all look to be fundamentally interesting additions. Many fans are excited, be it in the YouTube comments or on the Overwatch subreddit. They're even happy to see the return of Loot Boxes.

"At least the loot boxes will feel rewarding rather than emptying your wallet."

Loot Boxes have been a controversial topic for more than a decade, ultimately ending up with a lot of games axing them due to a number of factors. One of the largest being the overwhelmingly negative response to their inclusion in games. However, Blizzard's removal of them in favor of a more typical Battle Pass was met with a tidal wave of comments like "I can't believe I miss Loot Boxes," primarily due to the poor reward system implemented with the Overwatch 2's many changes.

The interesting part of this is the fact that Loot Boxes won't be for sale, at least not in most Western markets. There is a lot of speculation that the whole thing returning was done for the game's return to China, in partnership with NetEase. The sentimental and legal conversations around Loot Box-type mechanics over there is very different. But for the rest of us, these will be regularly earned rewards. You can obtain them from weekly objectives and during events, as well as part of the Battle Pass. Free versions of the pass will reward 1 Legendary Loot Box, guaranteeing one of the highest-quality skins in the game. If you buy the Pass, you'll have an additional 2 Legendary boxes to pick up on.

While it's easy to be skeptical upon hearing this news, this seems like a good thing overall. Extra rewards for players are never a bad thing. Nobody really wants to pay for voice lines and sprays, but getting them as random rewards just feels better. This seems like a fundamentally solid compromise and a beneficial addition as the game tries to right its course moving forward.
