A remake of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for Nintendo Switch also released in March — you can read our review here.
According to Nintendo's recent financial results, Pokemon Sword and Shield are now the third best selling Pokemon games of all time. The pair have now sold 18.22 million copies in just nine months and sit just behind Gold and Silver in the lifetime sales chart. From Nintendo's nine-month earnings report, it was revealed that Sword and Shield has sold more than 16 million copies since its November release, becoming the biggest highlight in an already strong fiscal year for the company. The latest NPD data, the latest installment in the long running series has the highest launch month dollar sales in Pokemon franchise history. And for the month of November, Sword was the third best selling game, the double pack including both titles ranking at fourth place, and Shield being in fifth place. However, if you combined those sales then total it would bring them to the number two spot.
Pokemon Sword and Shield released for Nintendo Switch on November 15th, 2019. Meanwhile check out our in-depth review for the game here, in which the News Editor states that "Sword and Shield are a lot of fun, even if the series is experiencing growing pains with the transition to home consoles." While no other information has been given other than event details, there's a very good chance that a brand new patch will be revealed during this showcase. Considering that event plans for Final Fantasy XIV had been scaled back or cancelled due to the pandemic, it's great to receive any exciting news regarding the MMORPG.
For those who have already invested in next-gen consoles, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida has revealed his desire for the title to come to PS5 and he believes it could still come to Xbox consoles according to an interview published in July.
The most recent patch, Patch 5.4, will add several new quests and dungeons including a fight against Final Fantasy VII endgame superboss Emerald Weapon. Patch 5.2, Echoes of a Fallen Star, released on February 18th and featured new main quests, a new raid dungeon, new general dungeons, and VII's other endgame superboss Ruby Weapon. The previous Shadowbringers update, titled 5.1 "Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty," introduced a brand new NieR Automata-themed patch featuring new gear, a new dungeon, new game+, and the Fellowship.
Announced by Square Enix and Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida via a press release, Final Fantasy XIV has now surpassed 18 million registered players in total. This number is comprised of players across all of the game's platforms which include PS4, PC, Mac, and even the PS3.
Meanwhile, be sure to check out our official review of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers here, as well as our E3 2019 interview with Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida here. Shadowbringers is available now for PS4 and PC on Amazon.

Soul Calibur VI Reveals Classic Soul Edge Fighter Hwang in New Trailer
Hwang, who made his debut in Soul Edge and (including that first appearance) has only been playable in three main Soul games, finally makes his triumphant return in Soul Calibur VI. He's also the fighter who served as the basis for Yun-Seong, another wielder of the Chinese sword.
However, as shown in the trailer above, their fighting styles are completely different. Hwang is faster, tighter, and more polished compared to Yun-Seong's largely self taught style.
Launching on the same is DLC pack 14, which will feature brand new content for the character creation mode. And beside that release will be free content update 2.20 featuring a brand new stage, battle adjustments for all characters, Seong Mi-Na's classic costume parts, even more Tekken themed outfits, new Mitsurugi and Nightmare episodes, and more.
In other Soul Calibur VI news, both Setsuka and Princess Hildegard von Krone was revealed to be coming to the game as its latest DLC fighter, as a part of the Season 2 DLC pass. Other returning fighters from the franchise include Yoshimitsu, Voldo, Seong Mi-Na, and Astaroth (who were revealed during EVO 2018).
2B from Nier: Automata also made an appearance in the weapons-based fighting game. 2B is an android and the protagonist of NieR: Automata. She wields two swords as her primary weapons, although she also wields spears and combat bracers. Her pod support system helps her in battles by allowing her to glide, and attack enemies from a distance.
On the official Japanese website, Bandai Namco warned players about NSFW creations, specifically that if you make an inappropriate character in the Create a Soul mode, you may get banned from online play.
Dualshockers very own customizable characters Bowsette and Boosette were a very big hit, with players crying out asking where they can find a guide for the two characters for a Soul Calibur VI build so they could do it too. You can check out our guide on how to make Bowsette and Boosette in Soul Calibur VI's character creator here. You can also check out our review of the game here, which declares that it's "undoubtedly one of the finest fighting games of this generation."
Soul Calibur VI is available right now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and you can pick up your copy by heading over to Amazon.

Here is How Cross-Gen Saves Will Work for Cyberpunk 2077
Many people out there might be treating the release of Cyberpunk 2077 as a next-gen game since it is releasing after the launch of both the Xbox Series X|S and PS5. However, there are still plenty of folks out there who will still be playing on their trusty Xbox One or PS4. With that said, if they were to upgrade their hardware sometime in the middle of their playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, here is how they would transfer over their saved data to a new system.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account shared some details on how to transfer over saved data for both the PS4 and Xbox One systems.
Attention console players!
If you start playing #Cyberpunk2077 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you will be able to continue playing it on a corresponding next-gen console. Here's how the cross-saves will work:
PlayStation: https://t.co/F3fi6akL5L
Xbox: https://t.co/0ghoo3JptD pic.twitter.com/W24u6WzXxB— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) November 27, 2020
For Xbox One players who have upgraded to the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, the process is incredibly simple thanks to Microsoft always being an innovator in cloud saves and Smart Delivery. All players will have to do is to make sure that they are connected to the internet so that their saved data will be uploaded to the cloud or connect both connect both consoles to the same network and use the system network transfer option.
For Playstation owners who have upgraded to the PS5, there are three different options to transfer over save data. The first is to connect to your PS Plus account and to upload your saves to cloud storage. Then on the PS5, download that saved data from the cloud onto the console. The second option is to transfer the data via a LAN cable or WiFi connection. The final option would be to use a compatible storage device to copy and transfer over the data to the same account on the PS5.
Cyberpunk 2077 releases for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 10. A version of the game that has been optimized for the Xbox Series X|S and the PS5 has been announced, but an official release date has not been provided. The optimized version will be free for all owners of the game.

PS5 Owners Are Reportedly Getting Banned For Selling PS Plus Collection Access to PS4 Users
The PS Plus Collection is a new deal PlayStation is providing its PS Plus subscribers. The service provides subscribers with a "greatest hits" selection of games to play. It is such a good deal, users have been selling offer their access to the service via a loophole.
The loophole tasks PS5 owners with logging into the user account of PS4 owners on the PS5. After doing so, the collection of games will then automatically unlock for the PS4 owner.
VGC pointed out that in Sony's Marketing for the PlayStation Plus Collection, the service is only intended for owners of the PS5.
eBay users have begun to sell access to the subscription. A user has already made over £100 by charging £5 to unlock the PS Plus Collection on other user's PS4's.
According to a popular Chinese forum, Sony has already begun to bring the hammer down on people in the region for utilizing this loophole. Both the ones selling access to it as well as the PS4 owners who are purchasing access to it.
Thousands of PSN accounts have been banned, and according to community discussions, these accounts are concentrated in HK(@PlayStationHK ), and have in common the receipt of Sony's PS Collection service for PS Plus, which contains serveral PS4 games for free. pic.twitter.com/ECWPRgVuO2
— 王之乎 (@zhihuwong) November 26, 2020
Users have stated that the bans will last two months and any PS5 console that was involved in the loophole has been blocked from using any network services.
The PS Plus Collection has a fantastic catalog of games to play. Whether it's The Last of Us Remastered, Persona 5, Bloodborne, or God of War, there is no wonder PS4 users would want to take advantage of this loophole. Those were some of the best games of the generation!
If you are currently a PS5 owner and a member of PS Plus, then you have access to the subscription service.

SaGa Frontier Remastered Announced For PS4, Switch, Steam, Mobile
Square Enix announced SaGa Frontier Remastered for PC Steam, PS4, PS5, Switch, iOS, and Android. The game is coming in Summer 2021. You can find below the reveal trailer. The reveal happened at the Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe 2nd anniversary event, at the end of the stream.
Saga Frontier was first released by Sqauresoft in 1997 on PlayStation 1. Like every SaGa game, it features multiple protagonists. SaGa Frontier, after its title screen, lets you pick between seven protagonist with their distinct storyline: Emelia. Red. Blue. Asellus, Lute, Riki. And T260G.
Moreover, this Remaster adds an eight protagonist, Fuse. He appeared in the original game and was a recruitable party member. Now he's a proper protagonist. Square Enix published A special trailer dedicated to Fuse too. Moreover, the trailer features Fuse voiced, but the game is voiceless.
The remaster also adds new events that didn't make it to the original PS1 SaGa Frontier. On Twitter, Akitoshi Kawazu said more info on SaGa Frontier Remastered is coming on the December 15 SaGa stream.
While time didn't permit us to cover it then: Back at Tokyo Game Show 2020, SaGa Series Director Akitoshi Kawazu mentioned the development teams were working from home on several projects. Moreover, he mentioned they should be able to announce more for the series 30th anniversary soon. Turned out SaGa Frontier Remastered was one of these projects. The SaGa official site is accessible here.
SaGa Frontier Remastered Trailer, Fuse Trailer, Kawazu Tweet:

Saga Frontier Remastered is one of the projects celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series. Other projects include the Collection of SaGa remasters on Nintendo Switch. Lastly, these past few years, Romancing SaGa 2 and 3 were both remastered as well. They're masterpieces you should definitely try out. Plus, I'd recommend starting with Romancing SaGa 3 as it's easier, and the games are unrelated story wise.
Romancing SaGa Re univerSe is also out in English now. It's an extremely player friendly gacha game and you should definitely try it out if you're a fan of the series.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 1st Anniversary Stream Summary
On November 28, Sega, Atlus and Vanillaware held a special live stream for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, celebrating the first year anniversary of the game. The stream is over. We're now polishing the article, adding several details.
The stream featured multiple seiyuu from the game. Jun Fukuyama who voices Renya Gouto. Kaoru Sakura, who voices Natusno Minami. Mutsumi Tamura, who voices Tsukasa Okino. Takayuki Ishii, who voices Takatoshi Hijiyama. They were all wearing the one year anniversary t-shirt. The stream MC was Tomomi Isomura, as usual with Atlus related streams.
First, through the intro, they quickly introduced 13 Sentinels for those who didn't hear about it. Most notably the nominations and awards the game won so far were listed. They mentioned it got nominated at The Game Awards 2020 for best narrative. Personally I would have nominated it in everything. Be sure to vote for the game.
13 Sentinels is currently on sale, 39% off as a san kyuu to the fans.
Note that this article contains spoilers.
First Segment Seiyuu chat about their favorite scenes and lines in 13 Sentinels
That segment was particularly funny as the seiyuu commented each scene being played back.
Kaori Sakura: When Yuki Takamiya meets Natsuno Minami again at Sakura High School for the first time. Stream timestamp: 12:30. The seiyuu jokingly noted how they're polar opposites with Takamiya wearing a long skirt and Minami always being in bloomers. They also mentioned how Takamiya is super cute despite being a Sukeban. Kaori Sakura likes how they say "let's see each other at school tomorrow", but then they each get tangled in various events. She also really loves the picture with the two of them when they were kids.
The seiyuu noted how Takamiya's hair was really short back then. And how it takes years for it to grow long enough to turn into a poytail. Meaning once Minami told her she'd look better with long hair, she pretty much stopped cutting her hair for years.
Jun Fukuyama: When Gotou Renya stops the taxi in a stylish way after getting out of the Shikishima building.
Fukujun explained it's impressive because it shows how confident Gotou is overall. And how most taxi wouldn't stop for a high school student. Fukujun also said if it was him trying to stop a taxi in high school, he'd be so stressed his hand would be shaking. He loves the contrast between Gotou's uncouth way of walking, like if he's always in a hurry, but his stylish gesture just for calling a taxi.
Fukujun added that his way of stopping a taxi is similar to Gotou's. Taking the pose, Fukujun: "Most taxi actually don't stop when you do this lol. So I just end up raising my arm normally". The seiyuu jokingly all posed to show how they stop taxi.
Takayuki Ishii: Hijiyama gets jealous and punches Ogata after Okino confesses to him. When they recorded the Prologue demo, the script didn't talk about Yakisoba Pan or Okino yet. IT only said "Hijiyama is like a cool big brother". As such, so Ishii first though Hijiyama would be a really cool and serious character. Not a comedy type one. But he really liked how he turned out.
Mutsumi Tamura: The scene with Okino and Hijiyama from the future discussing and being lovey dovey. Mutsumi Tamura mentioned that the Vanillaware staff didn't tell her at first that Okino and Hijiyama are lovers. The first two recordings, she asked about it, and didn't get an answer. And then she received the script for this scene and was like "they're totally doing it!!"
Second segment: Results of the fan survey
Favorite characters fan poll
10: Kisaragi Tomi. 9: Kurabe Juuro. 8: Ogata Nenji. 7: Fuyusaka Iori. 6: Miura Keitaro. 5: Yakushiji Megumi.4: Tsukasa Okino.
3: Natsuno Minami
2: Hijiyama Takatoshi
Fukujun jokingly was like "I'm a popular seiyuu, my char definitely gonna be first".
1: Shinonome Ryouko
Fukujun joking: "Well, I'm a popular seiyuu, I'm sure Gotou was like 11th".
Then the ranking from 11th to 30th was revealed, and Gotou really turned out to be 11th.
Fukujun joking: "If you look at the ranking this way, Gotou is at the top"
Favorite Start Marker location
5: Yakushiji. 4: Ogata. 3: Juuro. 2: Shinonome.
The seiyuu: "this'll turn into a fetish discussion right?"
1: Fuyusaka. Way higher votes than the others. The seiyuu explained it's cool and cute, and she feels like the perfect invincible JK.
The ranking trolled and and first made it as if Hijiyama won, before switching to Fuyusaka.
Gotou was 11th again. Hijiyama was 12th.
Fukujun invented a pretty cool story on the spot about Hijiyama hugging Okino from behind and activating his marker if he had it on his arm. Kaoru Sakura said Okino should have his marker on ring finger.
Next segment: Favorite scenes and dialogue lines from the characters whose seiyuu were present on stream: Gotou, Okino, Minami, Hijiyama.
They had a lot of fun voicing the scene when Okino tied up Hijiyama. They did multiple retakes because it's supposed to be a serious scene but they'd made it have too much sexual tension. Mutsumi Tamura voiced a certain line from it live too. She said she usually doesn't voice characters acting sexily like this so she was really hyped.

Talking about Hijiyama fan favorite scenes, they showed the scene where Hijiyama is eating three Yakisoba Pan but with the English dub, and how it sounds super erotic. So Takayuki Ishii did it too, parodying it and making it even more erotic. The seiyuu were shocked how they found the cool translation "My Yakisoba Pan Angel" for "Yakisoba Pan no Kimi". Timestamp:
Next was the goods announcement segment
First, they mentioned the new books released on November 28, 2020 for the game's anniversary.
Next were the upcoming goods. Last thing is a BJ towel.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Upcoming figures: Fuyusaka Iori Nendo. Two different Minami Natsuno and BJ figures.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 1st Anniversary Goods
New manga, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Kochira Sector X. A comedy SD 4-koma manga.
Headphones.
More goods including ultra cute plushies. The art were used for the shop specific preorder goods in Japan.
We'll add more details for this segment once the stream ends.
The next segment was the Live Concert segment:
It was a really cool medley of the game's masterpiece of an OST. Included Miyuki Inaba IRL singer Fuu Ito with the full version of her song. Seaside Vacation.
After the concert, Fuu Ito shared some comments. She was really happy to be part of the game and to be at its events (she was at the previous spoiler talk with fans as well, doing a similar short concert).
After the concert, a brand new OST album was announced. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Remix & Arrange Album -The Branched-. Basiscape is also making a new song for Miyuki Inaba. The album releases on February 27, 2021. The album cover will be handled by 13 Sentinels artist Yukiko Hirai.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 1st Year Anniversary Stream Final Segment, Stream Ending
Each of the seiyuu shared some final words.
Fukujun: incredibly happy to be part of this project, wants more people to discover the game, looking forward to to books, manga etc.
. Kaoru Sakura, who voices Natusno Minami. Mutsumi Tamura, who voices Tsukasa Okino. Takayuki Ishii, who voices Takatoshi Hijiyama
Kaoru Sakura: Wants to erase her memory and replay the game. She loves Boy Meets Girl stories like this.
Takayuki Ishii: Really happy to have been called for all these event. Don't look at spoilers and walkthroughs, just play teh game if you haven't yet. Try it out if you played the previous games like Odin Sphere etc.
Mutsumi Tamura: I don't play games much but really enjoyed it. Was a really good epxeriene. You can always play in Easy mode too. Wants more and more people to enjoy the game.
Tomomi Isomura wants to do more events like these. Hopefully there will be more.
The stream ended with a special video of all the fanart and messages sent in by fans. Yo ucan watch it below:
That's all. Stay tuned as we'll be polishing this article and add several details. Personally, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is one of my favorite games of the decade. So that was a really great and fun stream to watch. I'm surprised Sega didn't announce a Switch port though. However though, I would have liked a simple port, but not the usual enhanced version that adds a female character voiced by a popular seiyuu. I don't have the time to play the game again anytime soon, even if it's a masterpiece.
You can grab 13 Sentinels on Amazon if you haven't yet.
The usual end of stream shot with everyone, and the anniversary cake:

On November 27, a few hours after publishing a boss fight gameplay video for Project Eve, Shift Up published a new press release for its AAA action title, hinting the game is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. New details and screenshots were revealed as well. If you're interested in the boss battle footage, we analyzed it beforehand.
Here's the interesting thing. When Project Eve was first revealed, Shift Up announced the game for PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. However, these platforms aren't mentioned at all now. Instead, as we explained in our previous coverage, Shift Up now stated the game is developed "to show maximum performance on various platforms including consoles". And how the company aims to be a "global multi-platform developer". Project Eve has no release date estimate and looks far to be launching anytime soon. It's very likely development switched focus from PS4 and Xbox One to their successors PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The new Project Eve screenshots include multiple shots of its currently revealed protagonist. For now, we know Eve uses a sword as her main weapon, and is fighting monsters called NA-tives. Eve is chara designed by Kim Hyung Tae, founder of Shift Up, who previously did the chara design for Blade & Soul. The screenshots also show multiple environments in the post-apocalyptic world of Project Eve. The screenshots also reveal Eve will be able to change outfits.
Shift Up also makes mobile RPG Destiny Child, which is currently celebrating its 3rd anniversary. Moreover, another game, online TPS Nikke the Goddess of Victory, is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android. The game's character designer is KKUEM. Shift Up is currently recruiting for both games.

Pokemon Announces Plans to Celebrate the Franchise's 25th Anniversary in 2021
Believe it or not, Pokemon is set to turn 25-years old in 2021, which is just a shocking thing to actually write out. Luckily, it sounds as though The Pokemon Company isn't going to let this momentous anniversary pass them by lightly and has now announced some initial plans for the occasion.
Coming from the official Pokemon Twitter account recently, it was revealed that the franchise will hold some sort of "celebration" in 2021 to mark the series' 25 years of existence. As for what this celebration might look like, details weren't given right now, but it was said that more will be shared soon.
Need one more thing to be thankful for today, Trainers?
Our Pokémon 25th Anniversary celebration kicks off in 2021!
Stay tuned for more details #Pokemon25 pic.twitter.com/Vx4YstcFYj
— Pokémon (@Pokemon) November 26, 2020
Obviously, the most notable thing that could come from this 25th-anniversary celebration would be the release of a new Pokemon game. Considering there wasn't a new installment in the series this year outside of the expansion pass content for Pokemon Sword and Shield, it stands to reason that 2021 will see the arrival of some sort of new entry in the franchise. Personally, I'm wagering that The Pokemon Company and Game Freak will have some sort of remake of a past installment. Outside of Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, the last time a remake was released was in 2014 with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Perhaps it's time we finally see those Diamond and Pearl remakes that fans have been begging for in recent years.
Regardless of what might happen in 2021, it's good to know that some major Pokemon news seems to be on the horizon. Considering how packed next year's game release slate is already looking, the potential arrival of a new set of Pokemon titles just makes the year look even brighter on paper.
