Genshin Impact 2.6 livestream time – here's when it starts

It's nearly time to say goodbye to the era of 2.5, as developer Mihoyo confirms that the Genshin Impact 2.6 livestream time is locked in for this Friday, March 18. The stream will go into detail about everything coming in Genshin Impact's next update, including the new character Ayato and the release date.

As always, Mihoyo has kept the full details of what Genshin Impact fans can expect to see in version 2.6 under wraps, but a few big details have either leaked out or been confirmed. The biggest addition, of course, is Kamisato Ayato, Ayaka's older brother and a blue-haired Hydro sword user. We should hopefully get confirmation of everything we expect to see in Ayato's banner during the stream.

It also looks like Anemo-based support character Venti might get a banner rerun at some point during the 2.6 release, which will be welcome news to any players who missed him the first time around. There are also rumours that YoimiyaKazuha, and possibly Klee and even Ayaka herself may get rerun banners too.

Destiny 2: what is the Nightfall weapon this week?

Want to know what this week's Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon is? Each week you've got a chance at a different weapon for completing Nightfall Strikes, and ever since Season of the Lost, fan-favourite legacy weapons from the original Destiny have been added to the rotation. Two new weapons were introduced into the pool in Season of the Risen, so it's more important than ever to know in advance the Nightfall weapon schedule.

In case all these words are new to you, Nightfall: The Ordeal is a playlist available in the Vanguard menu, alongside the basic Strike playlist. Each week, a different Strike is chosen as the Nightfall, and offered in five escalating difficulties, with harder enemies, challenging modifiers, and enemy power levels cranking up.

The coveted Nightfall weapons have a chance to drop from any Nightfall Strike difficulty, but it's far more likely at higher levels. Your best bet for farming each week's Nightfall weapon is to set the Strike to Master difficulty, according to YouTuber Aztecross. You should also note that there's no automatic matchmaking above Hero difficulty, however, so you'll need to get a squad together.

It's nice when good things make big numbers, so it's nice to hear the boast that Elden Ring has sold 12 million copies. Considering the latest game from the makers of Dark Souls launched less than three weeks ago, it's an impressive big number indeed. They also mention plans for "more of Elden Ring as an IP [. . .] in hopes of expanding beyond the realm of games," which I guess could mean anything from a novelisation to hats. Yes, please do clothes. Make Fashion Souls real.

Elden Ring Global Total Sales

Bandai Namco announced total worldwide sales for Elden Ring have surpassed 12 million units. Sales for Elden Ring in Japan have also surpassed 1 million units. Additionally, the president and CEO of Bandai Namco Entertainment, Yasuo Miyakawa, has expressed interest in expanding the Elden Ring brand. However, Bandai Namco has yet to elaborate on how it plans to incorporate other styles of media into Elden Ring as a brand.

Elden Ring has become the biggest new IP launch in Europe since 2016, unseating Ubisoft's The Division. Additionally, the title had sold more than a quarter of a million units within Japan during its first week of release. And this only accounted for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game, with the full number now available.

Elden Ring wouldn't be the first FromSoftware IP to receive extended pieces of media. Bandai Namco released a series of official Dark Souls comics, following the global success of the series. Additionally, Bloodborne, a non-Bandai Namco-related IP, received a comic set within the universe of the game.

Elden Ring is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can read our review of the PC version, which includes PlayStation 5 impressions.

Final Fantasy XIV FFXIV New Endwalker Story Content Planned

In a Famitsu magazine interview, Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) scenario writer Natsuko Ishikawa revealed that the team plans to release a new story related to the main plot of the Endwalker expansion. Ishikawa also explained the meaning behind some key lines from the ending scenes of the expansion. Additionally, producer Naoki Yoshida offered a few hints as to what kinds of battles players may face next. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

Editor's Note: This article includes spoilers for the events of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.

During the interview, Ishikawa revealed that Emet-Selch's last lines to the player were in fact a message to the rest of the FFXIV staff, to continue creating stories with the material they've set up. Ishikawa explained that she didn't want the team to feel that the story was over. Lead story designer Banri Oda added that several continents already exist in the world that the players have not yet explored.

Furthermore, Ishikawa revealed that a new "complementary" story relating to the events of Endwalker is already planned for FFXIV. Specifically, it will be a detailed and smaller-scale story. It's unclear when this new story will appear in future updates. Notably, Ishikawa also mentioned that, had Hermes not started the Final Days, the world may have become similar to the one shown at the end of The Dead Ends dungeon.

On the topic of battles, Yoshida addressed concerns about whom the player will fight next. Yoshida stated that there are still various possibilities, as past Final Fantasy titles have even led players to fight against the personification of the Void. However, Yoshida also clarified that he doesn't think continuously inflating the scale of the story and making stronger bosses is a good idea.

Final Fantasy XIV is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The Little Ladies Day event is ongoing and will take place until March 31, 2022.

The Global Wonder Station is in Jubilife City, though players could not enter it at launch. However, with version 1.3.0, the patch notes state that it is now possible to trade Pokemon on the internet through the Global Wonder Station, which implies Wonder Trade is now possible.

Syberia The World Before Review 1When Benoît Sokal passed away during the development of Syberia: The World Before, it was a hard blow to his fans and people looking forward to continuing the series. The game is visually wonderful, has great characters and voice acting. Plus there are plenty of enjoyable, logical puzzles, and it's decently lengthy to boot. But it also ends on a very jarring cliffhanger, which stings all the more since we're not likely to get another game now that the series' main creative force is no longer with us. There's a hell of a lot to enjoy here, but be warned that you'll likely walk away feeling emptier than you'd like. Syberia: The World Before has a truly easygoing narrative pace, even for an adventure game. There are no mustache-twirling villains turning up the heat under our protagonist. The world isn't ending. There's no mystery with lives hanging in the balance. For the most part, the game has more of a slice-of-life focus where series ...
