New Sanrio Anniversary Plush Wear Crowns

Sega and Sanrio announced more plush to celebrate certain mascots' 20th and 50th anniversaries, which means new stuffed animals of Kuromi, My Melody, and the Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala. All of them will appear in Japanese arcades starting on November 21, 2025. There's no word yet on if or when we could see them worldwide, though they do sometimes show up on online storefronts like Amazon.

All four items in this collection feature the same chibi design and matching accessories. Each character has a gold crown on their head. My Melody and Lala both have pink ribbons around their necks, while Kuromi and Kiki wear blue ones around theirs. They are all about three and a half inches tall. As the Little Twin Stars and My Melody were both created in 1975, these are in honor of their 50th birthdays. Kuromi is the youngest character at 20, as she debuted in 2005.

Here's how all four of the Kuromi, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala anniversary plush will look:

While we haven't seen as much anniversary merchandise and events for the two Little Twin Stars characters, lots of things tied to Kuromi and My Melody appeared. There are tons of new plush. Watches were sold. There was even a new stop-motion animated series on Netflix called My Melody & Kuromi.

The anniversary plush of Kuromi, My Melody, and the Little Twin Stars Kiki and Lala will debut in Japanese arcades starting on November 21, 2025, and we don't know if Sanrio and Sega will make them available worldwide.

Newest Shonen Jump Manga Is Called Gonron Egg

Shueisha announced a new manga series is now running in Weekly Shonen Jump as of October 26, 2025, and it is available in English worldwide via MangaPlus and Viz Media. It is written by Shuhei Tanizaki, who previously worked on Kaijuu no Buki Shokunin

Gonron Egg follows a young human named Gonron who finds a Drakarch egg named Ohma. In this world, Drakarchs from Gandala now rule over everyone and everything, enslaving humans to do their bidding. Ohma, being a susceptible egg, is dependent on Gonron for warmth and protection. He's fallen to Earth due to being the child of the peaceful usurped king. However, Gonron is currently a slave under the Drakarch Abrolom, so he needs to balance survival with looking after the egg. The pair work out a partnership. If Gonron cares for Ohma and fights to defeat his enemies, then Ohma will help Gonron find his abducted sister and help humanity.

We should see more English manga show up regularly on MangaPlus. Back in October 2025, Shueisha announced Weekly Young Jump series will start getting simulpub releases. That started with Bungo: Unreal, a sports manga and follow-up to Bungo.

Gonron Egg is a series that will appear every week in Weekly Shonen Jump, so the next chapter of the manga will appear on November 2, 2025.

First Duel Night Abyss Figure Is Based on Psyche

The new free-to-play game Duel Night Abyss isn't available yet, but Good Smile Company already confirmed on social media it will make a figure of the character Psyche. It will be based on her standard Chrysalis' Daydream appearance. She is a scythe-wielding character who will be present in the title at launch.

Since the Psyche figure is so early in development, there are very few details about how it could look. It will be a 1/7 scale size item. This means she'll likely stand at about a foot tall. She's in the works at the Good Smile Arts Shanghai branch. The initial image only showed concept art for the character, so it's unknown if the final pose will look identical to that or if there will be another position used.

Here's that announcement image from Good Smile Company:

There are two trailers for Psyche online to help offer a bit of a comparison. First, here's one of the standard Psyche: Chrysalis' Daydream look in Duel Night Abyss, which is the look the figure is based upon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK2m5WObRzY

Since there's no gacha in Duel Night Abyss, Pan Studio and Hero Games will make money based on cosmetics. One of the initial ones will be a Lustrous Minuet Reverie skin for Psyche that will be sold in the shop through Myriad - Summer Dreams Aflutter. Here's how that looks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKkloh2_HeA

Duel Night Abyss will be available on PCs and mobile devices starting on October 28, 2025, and a Psyche figure is in development.

Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement: Melodies Across Time Soundtrack Debuts in 2026

Square Enix announced that there will be a Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement: Melodies Across Time CD based on new versions of songs from the game's soundtrack. Those tracks will be performed during the concert of the same name during shows on January 17-18, 2026. The CD will debut in Japan on January 14, 2026nand worldwide in January 2026, and the official site already included a link to the North American storefront's product page. It will cost $32.99/¥4,180. This comes after Square Enix confirmed there were projects in the works to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary.

There's no teaser video offering examples of what these new takes on songs from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack will sound like. However, we do know what the tracklist looks like. In some cases, the renditions involve medleys of tracks. 10 total will be available.

Here's the full list:

  1. "Presentiment / Chrono Trigger"
  2. "Secret of the Forest / Wind Scene"
  3. "Courage and Pride / Frog's Theme"
  4. "Lab 16's Ruin / Robo's Theme"
  5. "The Day the World Revived / Lavos' Theme"

  7. "Primitive Mountain / Ayla's Theme"
  8. "Determination / Wings That Cross Time"
  9. "World Revolution / Last Battle"
  10. "To Far Away Times"

You can also see the cover art image of the album, which shows all the party members on stage performing with various instruments. Here's how that looks:

The Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement: Melodies Across Time CD of songs from the soundtrack will debut on January 14, 2026 in Japan and in January 2026 worldwide. The JRPG is available on the SNES, DS, PlayStation, PC, and mobile devices worldwide.

netflix logo

A television universe of video games and characters that millennials grew up with is forming, and I'm not mad at it.

With several critically acclaimed gaming adaptations already in out and even more in the works at several networks, Netflix is now tapping PlayStation legend Crash Bandicoot for an animated series, according to a report by What's On Netflix.

crash bandicoot game pass august 2024
Screenshot by Destructoid

Not only that, but a top animation studio is the one behind it: WildBrain Studios, who recently worked on all three seasons of the recent Sonic the Hedgehog Netflix series, Sonic Prime, and may be primed to tackle another iconic 1990s gaming icon.

Netflix has released adaptation successes such as Arcane, Castlevania, Cyberpunk: Edge Runners, and The Witcher, and has several others in the works like a BioShock movie and Assassin's Creed series, so it's clear that video game stories being brought to a new medium will be the new normal for a while. And I'm totally cool with it.

This may not have been the case years ago, because it took decades and several terrible projects for networks to start producing some solid video game adaptations, in both TV and movies. But things are trending in a proper direction, spearheaded by series like HBO's The Last of Us, which has been honored with nine Emmy Awards to go with 40 nominations in just two seasons. Prime Video's Fallout, with its season two coming in December, is also worth a shout for its one win and 16 nods.

Crash Bandicoot and the whacky world around him began on the PS1 way back in 1996, and it's rife with potential as an animated series, too, so we may be in for some more peak when it's ready in a few years, if this report ends up being accurate.

Master Chief in Halo Infinite

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's official Twitter account today tweeted a Halo screenshot featuring a call to action to "[finish] this fight" and "destroy the flood" by joining ICE. Anyone familiar with Halo's lore should be able to quickly identify this as the most blood-curdling recruitment bait ever.

https://twitter.com/DHSgov/status/1982819431894901043

The Flood serves as the most dangerous antagonist throughout most of the Halo series, an invasive alien species capable of taking over any other biological organism in a matter of seconds and causing their societies to collapse in not much longer than that. Likening this species to ICE's target, illegal immigrants, through a screenshot from a game that many possible ICE recruits grew up playing, can be considered beyond foul by many who oppose the current administration.

Military organizations have used the popularity of video games to lure young people into enlisting, but comparing migrants to the worst threat of the Halo universe feels like someone in an office was tasked with getting across just the most racist message possible.

The White House also dressed up Trump as Master Chief for Halloween, which is as scary as you'd imagine

And this isn't even the only instance of Halo being used for strange Halloween-time messaging, as just a few hours prior, the White House reacted to a GameStop tweet that declared "the end of the console wars," and accompanied that with an AI-generated (but of course) image of Donald Trump wearing the Master Chief outfit.

https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/status/1982638578913206632

I expected more from GameStop, a company that should know how the "console wars" began long before the PS2 and the original Xbox's clash. Still, the worst part is the White House's official account, which thought it a good idea to spearhead a recruitment campaign via the face of an infamous draft dodger.

The third party responsible for a lot of disappointment is Microsoft itself, which likely has enough muscle to DMCA these posts out of existence, or to at least convince the White House to remove them. But we've yet to see a reaction from the company, if it is to have one. In any case, this is likely to lose the upcoming neat-looking Halo remake a lot of favor among many of its fans.

The main Kingdom in Super Fantasy Farm

There is an optimal starting building order in Super Fantasy Kingdom, despite the game being a roguelike. You need to complete certain requirements to properly set up your kingdom and ensure a good influx of resources.

This guide applies to the best building order for the Human Kingdom, which is the first of the two playable Kingdoms in the game. The Undead Kingdom, which you unlock after defeating the second boss, has its own game flow and building logic

Early game building order

If you're just starting in Super Fantasy Kingdom, the ideal order in which you should create buildings is:

  1. Tavern
  2. Lumberyard
  3. Quarry
  4. Fisherhut
  5. Sawmill
  6. Goldmine
  7. Hunter
  8. Smelter

After you have a Smelter, start upgrading your units with Ingots and defining a strategy with other buildings for your run. From this point, the best building depends on the units and strategy you want to pursue. For instance, you can get a Farm to recruit the Monk and make Beer later, or you can opt for the Elemental Tower to sacrifice units.

Human Kingdom in SFK showing a Port built towards east.
An advanced building order with Ports. Screenshot by Destructoid.

Upgrade your castle and build extra Houses whenever you have the resources to do so, since they will give you extra Workers to gather more resources. When the cost to build a new house reaches 32 Wood, it's best to get more Workers by upgrading Houses for four Gold.

Always place buildings close to their respective resource. Lumberyard next to Trees, Quarry next to Rock, Goldmine next to Ore, and so on.

Advanced building order

As you play Super Fantasy Kingdom and expand your territory with Glory, unlock new Outposts, Witch bonuses, and additional starting resources, you can improve this building order slightly.

With the Witch's Aid, start your game with at least three Stones and three Gold. Then, use Outposts to get another two Gold. With this setup, you will have three Stone and five Gold total, enough to repair your Castle twice. This will let you carry enough Wood to build three houses before you even build the Goldmine, which will significantly speed up your early game.

You can also replace the Hunter with the Port once you build the road from your Kingdom towards the shore. Fishing will be a great resource to level up your Units quickly. You can build it before the Goldmine to make the most out of it as early as possible.

BO7 Little Caesars

Pizza is a classic gaming snack, and Call of Duty is a classic game, so why not combine the two?

Black Ops 7 and Little Caesars had the same exact idea. And as part of this year's collaboration, gamers can unlock special skins and prizes in CoD with their orders at the delicious Detroit-based pizza chain. It's a win-win situation.

Here's what we know so far about the Black Ops 7 Little Caesars collaboration.

Black Ops 7 Little Caesars codes

Little Caesars BO7 double XP codes
Image via Little Caesars

The BO7 collab with Little Caesars works the same way as it did last year for Black Ops 6. From Nov. 3 through the end of 2025, any order of $3 or more through the Little Caesars app or in-person will reward a code for "Dual Double XP, plus a shot to win exclusive in‑game rewards like operator skins, calling cards, emblems, and battle passes."

Like last year, each code redeemed will reward double XP tokens along with the random chance at even more items, like the anticipated pizza-themed operator skin, and even battle pass codes for those who have the most luck.

If you order in person, the code will be found on your receipt along with a QR code. If you order online through the Little Caesars website or app, the code will be emailed to you. You can then sign up and input the code on callofduty.littlecaesars.com to get your rewards.

The fine print on the website says that you can earn up to 40 hours total of double XP, there are 19,653 prizes available throughout the event's duration, and they range in retail value from $4.99 all the way up to $99.99. The promotion is only available in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

For now, hold off on ordering your Little Caesars until Nov. 3 and afterward if you're looking to stock up on items like the skin above, double XP codes, or other Little Caesars-themed cosmetic items, but make sure to grab them before 2026 rolls around and the promotion comes to an end.
