The Outer Worlds Has Surpassed 4 Million Sold-In Units
It was in 2019 when Obsidian Entertainment teamed up with Take-Two Interactive's Private Division label to release The Outer Worlds. The RPG promised to be a little on the old school side, and seemed to deliver for most fans looking for something akin to older Bethesda-style RPGs. After two expansions, a Switch port, and next gen versions, the game has continued to sell.
In the latest Take-Two Interactive quarterly report, it was stated that the game has now surpassed 4 million solid-in units during its lifetime. For reference, the game was said to have reached the 3 million milestone back in May of this year, meaning that in less than a year's time, the game has at least shipped 1 million more units. It's an impressive number for a mid-budget new IP, especially considering the game has been on Xbox Game Pass since launch.
The Outer Worlds is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. A sequel to the game has been announced for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will be published by Microsoft following Obsidian's acquisition by the company.

Weird West Gameplay Demo Showcases Abilities, Survival Mechanics and More
An extensive new gameplay demo for WolfEye Studios' Weird West has been released which sees the development team going over different mechanics. From the outset, it's an immersive sim but with role-playing and action adventure elements as players traverse a dark fantasy version of the Wild West. But there's quite a lot going on beyond choosing a character and making choices.
For instance, Weird West offers some survival mechanics. After taking down a band of hostile coyotes, the player can sift through their remains and cook the meat to recover health (it's also noted that bullets are short supply so you need to be careful with those). Jane Bell, the bounty hunter, also has different abilities to unlock which offers more diversity to one's play-style.
Weird West is currently slated to release this Fall for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. For more details on the five playable characters, head here and stay tuned for more gameplay in the coming months.
Bungie and Ubisoft Collectively File A Lawsuit Against A Subscription Website That Sells Hacks
Ubisoft and Bungie have recently filed a lawsuit collectively against a website that sells hacks on a subscription for games like Rainbow Six: Siege and Destiny 2. The lawsuit has been filed in California – as originally noted by PCGamer.
Both plaintiffs have pressed a number of charges against Ring-1, which has been accused of selling hacks for these games. Among a number of obvious copyright and trademark voilations, the perpetrator has also been accused for using key art for these games.
Both plaintiffs are demanding revenue earned by the website from selling cheats, but the amount hasn't been ascertained just yet. Speculation suggests that it could be in millions, but it seems that we will have to wait for more details to emerge to see how this lawsuit takes shape. Recently, Activision pulled down a number of promotional videos for an ML-powered cheat for Call of Duty that claims to even work on consoles.
A New SteamDB Listing For Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection Has Surfaced Very Recently
A new SteamDB listing has surfaced very recently, titled Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection. This collection, as reported by PCGamer, update Half-Life 2 with all of its episodes to a modern standard, but the catch is that the collection isn't being done by Valve – instead it's a fan-production of sorts.
The creator behind this collection – Filip Victor, is the same one behind Half-Life 2: Update mod which released back in 2015. The creator seems pretty excited about his new project, that it will put his previous work to shame. Details on the release date are non-existent, but the SteamDB listing is a great jumping-off point for speculation on the matter.
Of course, it's entirely possible that Valve never greenlights this project despite a listing – but projects like Hunt Down the Freeman and Black Mesa do instill some hope that the game will indeed see the light of day. Half-Life is one of the most influential games of all time, and it's no surprise that legions of dedicated fans still hope to see Valve make Half-Life 3.

The Wayward Realms is an Open World Fantasy RPG Made by Former Elder Scrolls Leads
Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay have some pretty impressive stuff in their resume, having been creative leads of The Elder Scrolls' earlier entries in the past, and the duo is now directing a new open world fantasy RPG. OnceLost Games' The Wayward Realms is promising some pretty interesting things, and it seems to have some grand ambitions. According to the developers, in fact, it's an entirely new breed of RPG, which they've dubbed "the Grand RPG."
The game's Steam page reveals interesting details about the game. It is set on a collection of islands collectively known as the Archipelago, populated by many races, factions, and kingdoms, all vying for supremacy above all others. The Wayward Realms will apparently place quite an emphasis on choice and consequence mechanics, with a virtual Game Master dictating how the plot and the game's world will react to player choices. Meanwhile, class-based progression, deep role playing, and customizable combat are also being promised.
A release window hasn't yet been announced for The Wayward Realms, and it's unknown if it's planned for any platform other than PC. You can check out its teaser trailer below, and its Steam page for more details.
