Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, September 30, 2025 6:24 AM ![]() Yesterday, a group of moneyfolk including private equity firm Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, and Donald Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners unveiled plans to acquire Electronic Arts for an estimated $55 billion. The buyers are committing $36 billion of their own equity (briefly and inexpertly, "equity" is the value of your assets after you deduct anything you owe), including the value of the PIF's existing investments in EA. They're making up the rest of the total thanks to a $20 billion loan from JPMorgan Chase Bank. How will they manage that massive debt? According to the Financial Times, who cite unnamed insiders, they're gambling on the deployment of generative AI tools as a gigantic cost-saving measure. |

Unlike other expansions, the Deluxe Pack will be available for a limited time, and this guide will help you stay updated.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack ex end date countdown
All A4 packs introduced to Pokémon TCG Pocket are available for an unlimited time. Once they're added, you don't have to worry about the packs getting removed. Deluxe Pack ex is different in this regard, as it will be available for a month. We have a countdown marking the date and time.
The countdown is based on the following timings.
This is the exact date when the Deluxe Pack ex is scheduled to be removed from the game. We have exactly one month to open it and find the cards. There's only one pack to open so that you can focus entirely on it.
As of this writing, we have no information on whether the other A4 packs will also be removed. Deluxe Pack ex is the completion of the A4 series. As things stand, the older packs are all set to continue after the start of a new series.
There are over 379 cards to obtain from the Deluxe Pack ex. You can find plenty of base cards and their new illustrated versions. The packs also offer many ex cards initially introduced during the launch of Pokémon TCG Pocket.
For veterans, it's a great pack to find rare items, while beginners can find some staples commonly used in plenty of decks.

Sir Oofie is the first character everyone begins with in Megabonk, and with the right build, he can do some incredible things.
When I started playing with the armored knight, I didn't enjoy. His sword feels incredibly sluggish and takes a lot of effort to work well. Get too close to enemies, and you'll take damage. However, most of Sir Oofie's limitations can be managed with the right build.
If you want more builds, you can check out our big list of best builds, as well as additional character-specific builds, right here!
Best Megabonk Sir Oofie build
Sir Oofie, despite his limitations, is the easiest character to build. His default weapon, the Sword, is unlocked by default. The character is also available from the get-go and is perfect for learning the basics. You'll have to buff his signature weapon to find success with him.
The Sword slashes through multiple enemies simultaneously, gaining 1% armor per level. The passive is helpful for beginners, as having high armor value will preserve your health better. The scaling is reliable and offers good survivability in the later stages. However, there are clear issues with the Sword.
Its attack speed is low initially, and you'll also have to aim correctly. The weapon is very slow to use and has low base damage. There's no Knockback by default, which is another problem. Let's first look at the best possible build.
Aura is my favorite choice for the second slot. With the Sword and Sir Oofie, you'll want consistent level-ups. Aura farms XP passively, and it smoothens the scaling process. It also cares for enemies near you, so that's a bonus. The Bone or the Lightning Staff works well for the extra weapon slots. The latter can strike enemies with lightning and cause them to freeze for a few seconds.

When it comes to Sir Oofie, speed is a problem. That applies to our knight and his weapon. Attack Speed allows you to increase your number of swings and empowers the Sword. Damage is also a good choice as it reduces Sword's time to eliminate enemies.
Due to the lack of movement speed, Agility is a must-have for Sir Oofie. His kit forces you to be constantly on the move. Higher movement speed will allow you to relocate quickly and better navigate the map. There are plenty of items to go for, but the Beefy Ring is almost mandatory.
You'll translate overheals to direct damage with Beefy Ring. Stacking overheals with Sir Oofie isn't difficult, as it comes as part of his kit and suggested build. The extra damage will be beneficial for dealing with elite enemies like Stage Bosses.
Try to be on the defensive at the start since you're yet to build your armor. Once you have leveled up, focus on improving the attacking potential of your weapons. This can be via buffs to your attack speed or damage.
When it comes to tomes, keep your eyes out for Agility, as that will allow you to move quicker and pick up more XP. Your focus will be strictly towards defense, attack speed, and damage. Everything else can be ignored if you're going for this particular build for Sir Oofie.
There are plenty of amazing builds to choose from regarding Megabonk, and we already have our list of the best ones.

CL4NK is my favorite character in Megabonk if I want to deal damage from distance, and there's a perfect build for him.
Certain characters inside the game are confusing to use. CL4NK is the exact antithesis. His kit is simple, fun, and offers plenty of range. As long as you can stay away from the enemies, survival will not be a problem. To make matters even better, I have the perfect build for him.
If you want more builds, you can check out our big list of best builds, as well as additional character-specific builds, right here!
Best Megabonk CLANK build
Before we begin our deep dive into the build, we must understand CL4NK's strengths and weaknesses. He has one of the smallest health and armor pools, and you'll be dead pretty quickly if the enemy gets in proximity.
Thankfully, it's a straightforward task to keep enemies away from CL4NK. His best build involves the Revolver, which is his signature weapon. Of course, you'll first need to unlock and purchase Revolver, which will allow you to unlock CL4NK. To unlock Revolver, you'll have to kill 7,500 enemies. Then, spend the required Silver, and the weapon will be yours.
Here's a build that you can run to have plenty of success with CL4NK.
Let's now understand the build in detail. The revolver is an auto-choice and CL4NK's signature weapon. The gun does projectile-based damage from a distance. It fits in perfectly with CL4NK's kits and fires multiple bullets to take down more than one enemy simultaneously.
![]()
If you're going for a crit-focused build (which you should), you'll gain +1% crit chance with the Revolver per level. After a particular stage, you'll be guaranteeing crit with every hit. You can't have two Revolvers, so I have gone with Bone. The Bone is excellent at clearing swarms; you don't need to aim.
If you have unlocked more weapon slots from the shops, you can go for the Lightning Staff or the Bananarang. I prefer the former as it can add an element of AoE to your kit. Enemies struck by lightning also freeze temporarily, allowing you to keep your distance.
With CL4NK, you'll want to get your tome selection on point. Either Quantity or Damage can work. Quantity will increase the number of projectiles you fire, leading to more damage. If you're using the Revolver+Bone combination, having Quantity should be a priority. Damage tome can be a good choice if you use a weapon that doesn't fire projectiles. It raises the base damage of all your attacks and scales up with your build.
The Attack Speed tome has been included, keeping Revolver in mind. The Revolver has many strengths, but its rate of fire isn't among them. The Attack Speed tome will take care of that problem. You can go with any three/four options listed above for items. Try to go for options that raise crit damage/damage/attack speed.
CL4NK is at his weakest in the early game. You'll want to keep your distance and constantly move on the map to avoid getting cornered. Your aim is to improve Revolver's damage and attack speed, and go for a solid second weapon that preferably fires projectiles.
Charge Shrines is the best choice on the map as it buffs his weak stats. Moreover, you'll want to avoid wasting any upgrade related to crit chance, which will increase gradually when you level up with CL4NK.
That should do the task for the gunman. If you're looking for more build options, we have some excellent alternatives for you to use in Megabonk.
