Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

We've seen Dragon Quest VII quite a few times, what with its PlayStation debut, 3DS remake, and now the Reimagined release headed to consoles and PCs worldwide. Each one's offered a little something different, with Square Enix this time streamlining some elements, adding new content elsewhere, and going with a design direction that involved physical dolls being used as main character models. To learn more about this latest take on the tale, Siliconera spoke to Producer Takeshi Ichikawa about the project, as well as the new Dragon Quest Eden manga.

Jenni Lada: This is the third time we'll be seeing Dragon Quest VII again. Which elements of the PlayStation and 3DS versions did you prioritize when preparing Dragon Quest VII Reimagined?

Takeshi Ichikawa: Although many aspects of this title have been completely reimagined from the ground up, its core narrative and the original version's unique atmosphere remain intact.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dr2m22qnx_Q

One of the already shared Dragon Quest VII Reimagined updates and changes is the new segment with an older version of the character Kiefer returning to the party. How did the team decide this would be a good narrative direction and implement it into the game?

Ichikawa: Kiefer makes a certain decision partway through the story, and because we believe many players were eager to see the developments that follow, we decided to add it as a new episode.

It was confirmed that there will be streamlined elements. How did you determine which scenarios to omit in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined and how does this then influence and alter the overall plot?

Ichikawa: In our effort to streamline the overall story progression and provide a more engaging narrative, we decided to cut subplots that have little or no direct relevance to the main scenario. However, this wasn't merely a matter of trimming. We reimagined the experience to deliver fresh scenarios even for players who have already played Dragon Quest VII, incorporating changes such as converting certain scenarios into optional content that can be played at any time after the stone tablet is assembled, as well as adding new episodes, including the adult Kiefer scenario.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci-wjJWNYV8

The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined class system will allow character multiclassing via moonlighting with another job. How did you ensure this would be balanced, and does this mean the class skill acquisition will be more like the PlayStation version than the 3DS remake?

Ichikawa: As the story progresses in this title, each character can equip two vocations simultaneously. With the addition of this moonlighting feature, each vocation was rebuilt to better highlight its unique identity. While the hybrid skill system from the PlayStation version is not included, the spells and abilities learned in each vocation have been completely overhauled. We hope you enjoy this revamped vocation system, which offers a distinctly different experience from before.

We know dolls for the main cast of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined were made, but did you also construct dolls for any other major characters? Also, what will happen to the dolls now that the game is finished?

Ichikawa: Dolls were created for the six party characters, while other characters and monsters were produced directly as in-game models. The dolls are currently on display at various events.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31LHVBj3uuM

The Dragon Quest VII manga will return with Dragon Quest Eden in Japan. Did the Reimagined team do any consulting work on the adaptation?

Ichikawa: While we have shared details of how this title has been reimagined with the artist and the manga editorial team, the manga adaptation is being produced as an independent work in its own right. We hope you will enjoy each version for what it offers.

What did you learn from the Dragon Quest VII Reimagined development process and how would you apply that to future games in the series and Square Enix titles?

Ichikawa: While I cannot speak about other games, I believe that developing this title taught me both the challenge and the appeal of preserving the original's strengths while reimagining it as a modern game.

The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined remake is available on the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026.

Final Fantasy Nendoroids Cover FFI and FFXIV Characters figures nendoroid

Good Smile Company revealed during its Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase that it will begin working on figures of Final Fantasy characters, with ones from FFI and FFXIV among the first three. It also confirmed that the Chocobo classic series mascot will be part of the first Nendoroid batch. There are no release windows for these yet, but the Warrior of Light will appear first.

The Final Fantasy Chocobo and FFI Warrior of Light Nendoroid figures are both based on the classic designs. This means the hero is quite colorful and inspired by the Yoshitaka Amano art. He's shown holding his sword and with his horned helmet. Meanwhile, the Chocobo Nendoroid features its wide-eyed, chibi style and expression that appeared in early games and games like Chocobo's Dungeon spin-offs. No accessories were shown with the bird mascot.

As for the FFXIV Nendoroid announcements, three figures are confirmed. Estinien Varlineau, G'raha Tia, and Y'shtola Rhul are in development. Since they're still so early along, only concept art for all three of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn members showed up in the presentation.

Here's how all five of the upcoming figures will look:

Here's the full presentation:

The Final Fantasy Nendoroid figures are in development for FFI and FFXIV characters, with the Warrior of Light pre-orders opening in March 2026.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Heads to Switch 2 as Endless Ragnarok

Cygames shared a Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok reveal during the portion of the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase dedicated to Switch 2 games. It will show up on July 9, 2026. The trailer that showed up during the presentation confirmed new content, as the characters Beatrix and Eustace already appeared.

Granblue Fantasy Relink started as something of a development hell game, as Cygames announced the action-RPG all the way back as Granblue Fantasy Project Re:Linkbefore getting its official name in December 2018. After choosing Gran or Djeeta as your avatar, they and Lyria, Vyrn, and their allies head to search for Estalucia. However, things don't go smoothly due to an incident with Bahamut and monsters ruining their airship and leading to world-saving adventures.

The two confirmed new characters are established ones who we've seen frequently appear in Granblue Fantasy and making cameos in the Granblue Fantasy Versus series too. Both are part of The Society. She's a swordswoman and human who uses swords when she fights, and she's known for being tied to the dark element in other installments. Meanwhile, Eustace is an Erune who attacks with guns and deals earth damage.

Here's the full Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase trailer for the game:

Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok will come to the Switch 2 on July 9, 2026, and the original game appeared on the PS4, PS5, and PC.

Bandai Namco announced two JRPG ports during the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, with Digimon Story: Time Stranger coming to the Switch and Switch 2 and Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition showing up the Switch 2. Both will appear in the next few months. They're the two major releases from the company from this latest showcase, and they'll follow the Tales of Berseria remaster launching in February 2026.

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition will appear first, even though it only showed up in a compilation trailer and the other game had its dedicated segment during this showcase. It will appear on May 22, 2026. The teaser footage showed both the base game and DLC content.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger will show up on the Switch and Switch 2 on July 10, 2026 and be the third Bandai Namco JRPG we'll see soon. Both digital and physical copies will appear. If someone gets it on Switch 2, they'll be able to choose between a Performance Mode (1080p and 60fps) and Quality Mode (4K, 30fps, HDR).

Kyoto Xanadu Is Nihon Falcom's New Xanadu Game

During the February 5, 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Nihon Falcom announced a new Xanadu game called Kyoto Xanadu. It will release in Summer 2026. It will be both a Switch and Switch 2 game.

Upon joining Hirasaka Academy, Rei finds himself being trained and prepped to head into the Great Labyrinth: Xanadu and conquer it. It will be a 2D side-scrolling platformer with Castlevania style labyrinths at some parts, but also more traditional, 3D spaces for the larger boss fights.

Here's the full Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The footage from the game highlights the mix of platforming, 3D boss fights, and day-to-day relationship and stat-building at the school.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse Sequel Heads to Switch

During the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Square Enix revealed a Paranormasight sequel. Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse will come to the console on February 19, 2026. Pre-orders will open later today after the eShop update.

In Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse, players will be at Ize Bay investigating a mysterious phenomenon and legend. Apparently, a mermaid was rumored to be in the area. While underwater, our lead sees himself. We'll meet a number of people who are all in the town at the same time for different reasons. By interviewing them and investigating the situation, we'll better understand what's going on and discover the truth of the legend. This will even mean searching underwater.

Here's the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase trailer highlighting the game, its new elements, and hints about the urban legend and supernatural stuff that appear in its story.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Xf9RxOAh8

The original Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo was a multiplatform release. The adventure showed up on the Switch, PC, and mobile devices. It also inspired a manga spin-off. The manga hasn't appeared worldwide, but everyone could find the original adventure on different platforms everywhere now.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse will come to the Switch on February 19, 2026. We don't know if other platforms will be available yet.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Switch 2 Version Revealed

Now that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is on the Switch 2, Square Enix used the February 5, 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase to confirm FFVII Rebirth. The second part of the trilogy is on the way and will arrive on June 3, 2026, and there will be a "boost" function like the one present in the Remake release. Pre-orders start today.

While the first part of this Final Fantasy VII retelling focused on the opening act in Midgar, with Cloud joining Avalanche, meeting Aerith, seeing Sephiroth again, and setting out on a journey, FFVII Rebirth will send Nintendo console owners out into the larger world. They'll start to head to places like Costa del Sol, Gold Saucer, and Nibelheim as they learn more about Cloud's path, what happened to Sephiroth, and the new threats to everyone. It also marks the full playable debut of Red XIII and Yuffie as allies, with Cid and Vincent also making appearances. This portion closes out with the Temple of the Ancients section.

Here's the full Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase trailer for the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08qdAc3jh8Y

This second part of the Final Fantasy VII trilogy is already available on two platforms. People can play it on both the PS5 and PC

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the Switch 2 on June 3, 2026, and FFVII Remake is available on the Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

The Adventures of Elliot Heads to Switch 2 in 2026 release date

During the February 5, 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Square Enix confirmed a release date for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. The 2D-HD action-RPG will show up on June 18, 2026. A new trailer also appeared highlighting additional gameplay footage from the JRPG, which showed off the different ages we'll visit when time-traveling through the years to save the last human kingdom.

We already had an idea that The Adventures of Elliot was on the way this year. When Square Enix announced it during July 2025, it confirmed that. It also shared a demo to offer initial impressions and opportunities for feedback. (Said Debut Demo is still online.) During the game, we'll follow Elliot and a fairy named Faie as they go through the past and present to protect the Kingdom of Huther from hostile beasts.

Here's the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase trailer that includes the latest The Adventures of Elliot footage and release date reveal and latest gameplay footage.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xfxIcWTBIY

This isn't the only recent 2D-HD game from Square Enix for the system. The company also released Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake in October 2025 and Octopath Traveler 0 in December 2025.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales release date is June 18, 2026, and it will be available on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Horizon Hunters Gathering heroes

For a few years, we've heard rumors of Guerrilla Games working on a multiplayer game set in the Horizon universe, in addition to the already-announced Horizon Steel Frontiers MMO.

Today, it's finally been revealed. Horizon Hunters Gathering is coming to PS5 and PC with full crossplay, and it's honestly looking very intriguing to me. It seems to have a lot going on, but the basic gist of it is that it's giving off the vibe ofMonster Hunter gameplay with some twists on the formula.

Horizon Hunter's Gathering gameplay screenshot
Image via PlayStation

Players choose from a roster of "uniquely skilled Hunters, each with a different playstyle and weapon, and fight in coordinated co-op with friends or alongside NPCs against a deadly machine threat." The devs call the combat "tactical, reactive, and skill-based," and at the center of what the game is all about.

It also incorporates a roguelite structure at times, as players collect abilities and buffs while out on a hunt. Defeating enemies will unlock things like perks and weapon upgrades, and each run means finding the best combo of power-ups to succeed against the biggest bad guys.

The development is early and ongoing, but there are two game modes so far: Machine Incursion, which is "a high-intensity mission in which waves of machines pour out from underground gateways, led by a formidable boss," and Cauldron Descent, "a longer, multi-stage trial where ever-changing rooms push Hunters to their limits—from brutal machine encounters to hidden doors that promise power and rewards for teams prepared to open them."

There's also a home base social space of sorts, called Hunters Gathering, where you can build your own customizable camp site, upgrade your gear, and find other players to play with or just emote and hang out.

I know that the cartoonish, Fortnite-like aesthetic will likely turn off many players right away, but I kind of dig it. I'm not entirely sold on the game at all yet, but it's definitely on my radar. While I think Sony may overestimate the Horizon franchise just a bit, I can't deny that I see the potential in this specific spin-off.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi_kz4MDG1o

There's a playtest happening at the end of this month on both PS5 and PC, and you can sign up by opting in to the PlayStation Beta Program to try it out and help the game in its development.

Players fighting in Menace

MENACE is the latest turn-based tactics adventure to go live in 2026, and you have to make a key decision in the very first minute. You'll need to pick four squad leaders to form your initial set of armies that will be key to completing objectives and missions.

All eight squad leaders have their own strengths and weaknesses. Since we will be at our weakest when starting, it's essential to pay attention to the initial pick. Let's look at which four squad leaders you should ideally pick.

Best starter squad leaders to pick in MENACE

All eight squad leaders can be solid additions for your units, but here are my four favorite choices.

Jane Darby

Darby in Menace
Screenshot by Destructoid

Jane offers 110 Action Points, which is the joint-highest at the start of the game. Higher Action Points allow you to enjoy more turns during a battle. Her Accuracy (80) and Discipline (75) ratings are pretty good, while offering 5% Critical Chance and 12% Defense.

Her Growth Potential is more than decent at 5, and the 40 Supply Cost is pretty moderate.

Charles Lim

Lim in Menace
Screenshot by Destructoid

Lim is one of the best budget picks when starting MENACE. He offers 100 Action Points along with 75 Discipline, 5% Damage Reduction, and 5% Defense. He lacks a Critical Chance modifier, and 65 Accuracy is towards the lower end of the spectrum.

While some of his stats might not be impressive, Lim offers 7 Growth Potential and Promotion Tax of just 10. His Supply Cost at 20 is pretty low as well among the starting squad leaders (however, there are cheaper ones).

Renu Rewa

Rewa in Menace
Screenshot by Destructoid

Rewa is my pick for a mobile unit. While Achilleas is a better pick in terms of abilities and stats, Rewa is far more affordable. Offering 100 Action Points, Rewa has 70 Accuracy and Discipling, 2% Critical Chance, and a moderate Supply Cost of 40.

However, she lacks Defensive abilities, which could be a slight worry. While her Promotion Tax is manageable, the Growth Potential of 5 is a bit of a headache. That said, she's a well-rounded and balanced pick at the start.

Tekko'Beo Tech

Tech in Menace
Screenshot by Destructoid

My final recommendation and pick is Tech, who looks like a solid all-rounder. This infantry unit leader offers 100 Action Points, 25% Damage Reduction, and 14 Hitpoints. The Accuracy of 65 could have been better, but his Supply Cost at 20 is pretty manageable.

Like Rewa, Tech has a low Growth Potential of only 3, but you don't need to bother much about that when you're just starting.

Three Runners in Marathon.

Today marks one month until Bungie's extraction shooter Marathon launches, and a new leak teases that the game may be a lot more competitive than most additionally thought.

According to dataminer X0X_Leak via MP1st, Marathon will have a loot-based ranked mode, where your scoring and climb through the ranks is based on the value of the gear you extract with in this dedicated competitive ladder.

Marathon promotional image
Image via Bungie

"Progress is made based on the credit value of the loot found during the run, and players must meet or exceed the set score target to make progress," the leaker said. Listed ranks found in the files include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Pinnacle, with rewards including cosmetic items.

"To play ranked mode in Marathon, crew members must select a zone, assemble a loadout that matches or exceeds the gear ante, and purchase a Holotag to set the score target with," the report said, claiming that these Holotag items will be required to enter a ranked match.

There's different kinds of rarities of Holotags, and the higher the rarity, the better credit towards your score target will be. But as you rank up, your required score target will also get higher, meaning there's a lot of risk and reward at play.

I'm not much of a ranked gamer myself, but I feel as though something like this is missing from a game like ARC Raiders. While Embark Studios' title found its niche with casual players, and that's largely why it became so popular, Marathon could offer a similar experience for those who wish to play solo while also offering a sweaty ranked mode for the most dedicated FPS grinders to climb through.

Marathon launches on March 5, but Bungie has said the game will have a free open weekend for players to try it out before then. With rumors of a potential new PlayStation State of Play next week (where the ranked mode may be confirmed), it could happen in the days following.

The post Marathon will reportedly have a ranked ladder, and that could help put it over the top for sweaty extraction mode fans appeared first on Destructoid.

Chappell Roan standing in front of Human Bill and slashing sword in fortnite

Many of the quests you'll be tasked with in Fortnite ask you to track down certain characters. Bosses are some of the more common NPCs you'll need to find, but they're also some of the toughest to locate, as is the case with Bigfoot and Human Bill.

One of the essential main storyline missions you're given to help free The Order asks you to find and fight one of these two imposing foes. You're not given any information about how to locate them, though, which makes it a fairly tricky feat to tackle on your own. If you're stuck, here's how to hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina's favor in Fortnite.

Bigfoot location in Fortnite

Boss spawn locations marked on fortnite map
Screenshot by Destructoid

Bigfoot is one of the bosses you can find and beat on the Fortnite island, which unfortunately means he doesn't have a fixed spawn location. Instead, he rotates between many different possible spawn spots, making him a tough foe to find in each round. All of the locations where we've seen a boss spawn on the island are as follows.

  • East of Sus Studios
  • Ripped Tides
  • Close to Wonkeeland
  • Classified Canyon
  • Latte Landing
  • At Humble Hills
  • On the hill east of Humble Hills
  • Painted Palms

There may be additional spots where Bigfoot and other bosses can spawn, but so far, we've only ever encountered them at these eight locations. We'll keep searching and add any other spots we uncover here, though. The boss icon also sometimes pops up underground at Innoloop Labs, but there's no way to access the marked spot or see which boss it is, so this location seems to be a glitch.

When you're in the general vicinity of a boss, the marker for them will pop up on your mini map. It's a skull with a crown on it, and it marks their location as they wander around the nearby area. You can only see this icon when you're fairly close to a boss, not by viewing the overall map from afar, so there's no way to know which of the possible spawn spots have a boss and which don't, except for manually checking each one.

Boss icon marked on map in fortnite
Screenshot by Destructoid

Before the Feb. 5 update, Bigfoot wasn't a boss, and instead existed as a special NPC you could only see from afar near the Tiptop Terrace area. Whenever you'd try to get closer to him, he'd disappear, but now, he's a full-on boss who can pop up all over the island.

If you did spot him before this update, you might be tempted to go looking for him there, but he doesn't show up around the forest area anymore. Instead, he sticks to the boss spawn locations only, as he's now been upgraded to a formidable foe.

Human Bill location in Fortnite

Human Bill is a boss just like Bigfoot, which means he also has a randomized spawn spot in each round. He can appear at all the same spots where you might encounter other bosses, which include:

  • East of Sus Studios
  • Ripped Tides
  • Close to Wonkeeland
  • Classified Canyon
  • Latte Landing
  • At Humble Hills
  • On the hill east of Humble Hills
  • Painted Palms

Hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina's favor in Fortnite

To complete the hit Bigfoot or Human Bill to tag them for Carina's favor quest so you can free The Order, you need to strike either Bigfoot or Human Bill once. You don't need to hit both of them, and since finding bosses on the island is rather tough, it's best to just wander around and battle whichever one you come across first rather than specifically seeking out one over the other.

You can strike these bosses with any weapon you wish. A Pickaxe works just as well as any gun for the purposes of this quest, although both bosses and their loyal henchmen will become angry with you as soon as you hit them, so be prepared to fight or run away as soon as you're done striking one of these two characters.

PokePark PikaPIka Sparks stage show

Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebration is ramping up for some big announcements later this month, but one of my favorite facets of it may be the new theme park that just opened in Japan.

When I first saw pics of PokéPark Kanto, I thought it looked a little cheap, with a bunch of Pokémon statues lining a forested area. But the videos coming out of Japan today make it look like an absolute blast, whether you're a child or a grown-up child (like me) who grew up on the series.

Photo via @taku_pika_pika on X/Twitter

Japanese social media was flooded by the most adorable pictures and videos, and I can't get enough of it. It's all so wholesome and cute. There's a Pikachu stage show called PikaPika Sparks where a bunch of people in electric rat costumes dance around, and it's amazing.

But that's just a small part of what PokéPark Kanto has to offer. As you walk around the area, performances take place featuring all sorts of Pokémon-costumed theme park workers, and there are countless little Pokémon scattered about everywhere for you to take pictures with.

And merch. Oh, the merch. This place is going to make absolute bank. There's mini plushies of just about every original 151 Pokémon you can think of, Mickey Mouse ears-like headbands featuring Eeveelution ears, clothes, drinks, Pokémon-themed food, and more. And I want to buy all of it.

Below I've shared some of my favorite PokéPark Kanto posts that I've found on Twitter/X this morning alone:

https://twitter.com/Bulbagarden/status/2019024278503514337

I love this adorable Vulpix:

https://twitter.com/hiiiichan51/status/2019233851512602756

And there's even a theme park employee dressed as Nurse Joy who can heal your friends:

https://twitter.com/tamachankamoyo/status/2019216904301473829

Needless to say, this theme park is going to be a smash hit, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more pop up. This first iteration in Yomiuri Land in Tokyo has a waitlist to even get in, so be prepared to wait for quite a while if you're looking to book a plane ticket.

FC 26 Future Stars

The first set of leaks for Team 2 of the Future Stars promo has started appearing online, and FC 26 players could expect some fantastic cards in the days to come.

EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about week two, and we have the first week of cards currently available in Ultimate Team. These cards will be replaced soon with the new additions, so let's look at which names are expected to be part of the promo.

All FC 26 Future Stars Team 2 players (leaked)

The list of leaked players for now is small, but more names are expected to appear closer to the release.

  • Vuskovic
  • Pele
  • Antonio Silva
  • Dani Olmo
  • Doumbia
  • Gareth Bale
  • Andriy Shevchenko
  • Camile Abily
  • Eden Hazard
  • Dean Huijsen
  • Lennart Karl
  • Smith
  • Fermin Lopez
  • Riccardo Calafiori
  • Beever-Jones
  • Uzun
  • Tiernan
  • Reale
  • Odobert
  • Kroupi
  • Pepi
  • Andreia Jacinto
  • McGlynn
  • Nico Paz
  • Gelhardt
  • Sangare
  • Mokio

Of the leaked names so far, Doumbia and Olmo are expected to arrive as Flashback items. Like the first week, Team 2 will have special cards for active footballers and former legends. The cards released via SBCs and objectives will be easier to obtain as there's no element of luck. The Future Stars SBCs released so far have been significantly cheaper compared to what we had during TOTY.

FC 26 Future Stars Team 2 release countdown

Team 2 will directly replace the Team 1 cards, and they will be released on Friday, Feb. 6. The following countdown will expire once Team 2 cards are in packs.

[hurrytimer id="1174161"]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 10am PT
  • 12pm CT
  • 1pm ET
  • 6pm UTC
  • 7pm CET

This has been the usual pattern that EA Sports has followed when it comes to promo releases. It will be interesting to see which names get leaked and who eventually makes it to the full launch.

Chappel Roan dancing in front of the order's cell in fortnite

One of The Seven is present on the Fortnite island, and it's time for you to help her escape. It's a daunting task, though, so you'll first need to ask The Order how to free her from her cell to figure out what needs to be done.

Tracking down a specific character is one of the trickiest tasks you can tackle on the island since it's quite large and there are many different NPCs wandering around it. This particular character is especially difficult to locate since she's hidden away in a small prison, so if you're stuck on this quest, here's how to ask The Order how to free her from her cell in Fortnite.

The Order location in Fortnite

The order location in fortnite
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can find The Order trapped in a prison cell beneath Lethal Labs. This POI is a pretty complex one, with many buildings, rooms, and levels to navigate, so tracking down the right spot can be fairly tricky.

The Order's cell is located near the southwest corner of the area, right underneath the building located there. The easiest way to get to her is to head inside the building from any door, then look for the staircase leading down. If you have the quest tracked, you'll see a small diamond icon once you're by the stairs, leading you right to her cell.

The cell you're looking for is a grey box surrounded by technological-looking orange wall panels on all sides. The Order is dressed in red and black, standing right in the middle of the small prison. Once you're in the right area at Lethal Labs, you can't miss it.

Ask The Order how to free her from her cell in Fortnite

To complete the ask The Order how to free her from her cell quest, approach the screen in front of the cell, then press the button that pops up next to the "Ask The Order about the cell key" option. As soon as you do, this quest will be complete, and you can move on to the next mission in the storyline.

There's still a bit more work to do before you can actually free The Order from her cell, and it's important to get the other missions in this series done if you want to keep up with the main storyline as it progresses. You'll need to return to the same cell later to actually free The Order from captivity, so be sure to remember where this spot is so you're ready to tackle that task when you do get to it.

Ask the order quest objective in fortnite
Screenshot by Destructoid

If you're up for some additional quests, there are plenty of important ones to get done around the island. Next, you might work on finding Human Bill, uncovering the mystery with Carina by completing her quests, eliminating a henchman, and confronting Vengeance Jones or Heroic Hope about the Dark Voyager.

Lana running to a cliff edge with a robotic aircraft gliding past in the distance

Planet of Lana, the 2023 puzzle-platformer, is back and that means you can expect three things: gorgeous landscapes, top-tier puzzles, and a continuation of Lana and adorable Mui's story. Whether you're returning to the technological story or are new to its beauty, you can try out Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf with Wishfully's upcoming demo.

Planet of Lana released in May 2023 as a puzzle-platformer that used the iconic 2D side-scroller format, blending the old with the new with its beautiful art style that captured undisturbed nature and terrain against a technological underbelly that demanded to be explored. Planet of Lana showed the childlike wonder and how the world literally expands as you explore it; where the game isn't just a fight for survival against the elements, animals, and the threat of something new, but how we can overcome anything if we hold onto hope.

It's an underrated puzzle-platformer that wields the nostalgia of Rayman and Oddworld, the beauty of Journey, and the emotional impact of INSIDE and Shadow of the Colossus.

The original story showed Lana traversing across various biomes; where civilization is non-existent, and nature and technology runs rampant. It demonstrated the stillness of a natural world that's been tainted by advanced technology. Though, this mechanical corruption only needed a soft touch, and that's where Lana came in. Her drive to save her community, paired with the inseparable bond of Mui, an adorable cat-like companion, harmonized beautifully with Planet of Lana's themes of resilience and hope.

This sequel will have new ways to solve puzzles and scale walls, expanding on Lana and Mui's abilities while balancing stealth and problem-solving as seen from the first game. While the original had the isolation of Wall-E and the appearance of a Studio Ghibli title, Children of the Leaf may be inspired by Princess Mononoke as promo images feature a sort of deer god (Forest Spirit). You can expect a calming and powerful soundtrack in this title that tugs on the heartstrings, just like the original.

Children of the Leaf is the sequel of Planet of Lana, a direct continuation of Lana's story. The mystery of Mui's powers takes a step into the spotlight. The narrative has moved on from the threat of robots going against humanity to how power in the wrong hands can destroy tradition and sever community. The store page briefly describes the divide between tribes, likely through factions using technology for all the wrong reasons. It's a story that should resonate with us—now more than ever—what with the everchanging technological landscape that threatens our very jobs.

If you're interesting in trying the sequel out, the demo for Children of the Leaf will drop on Feb. 11, on PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Disney Dreamlight Valley's first update of the year is nearly here, and it's set to introduce quite an iconic duo to the valley. It's been a while since we've gotten fresh content, so The Puppy Love update is looking like a great start to the new year.

There's quite a lot to this update, including a new Realm to explore, new faces to meet, a fresh event to tackle, and much more. If you want to start exploring as soon as possible, you'll need to know the exact time and date when the Puppy Love update will be released for Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The Puppy Love update for DDV will launch on Feb. 11 and is expected to be released at 8am CT. The launch date is confirmed, while the time is not, but since all recent updates have gone live at this time, we can expect that this one will too, as long as there are no unexpected delays.

DDV has a very reliable update release schedule that has stayed consistent since the game first launched, so although we usually don't see an official release time announcement, the time updates have dropped have remained the same, making it fairly easy to predict. The Puppy Love update is mostly focused on introducing two fresh faces to the valley, but there are also plenty of other additions releasing with them. Here's everything we know about this update so far.

  • Two new characters – The titular characters Lady and the Tramp from the film of the same name are the stars of the Puppy Love update. This one seems to be themed around love between the two characters, likely to tie in Valentine's Day since it's shortly after the update launches.
  • New Realm – A fresh Lady and the Tramp-themed Realm can be opened and explored by players with this update. In this Realm, you'll find the small town the puppy duo call home, complete with iconic spots from the film like Tony's Restaurant.
  • New quests and rewards – There are loads of new quests to tackle and prizes to earn along the way. First, you'll need to work through a series of missions inside the Lady and the Tramp Realm to recruit both pups to the valley. Once you've got them in your village, you can move on to their friendship quests, which help you unlock the many exclusive rewards each character has to offer.
  • New Star Path event – A new Star Path event, called Paw-fect Romance, is launching with this update. Some of the items you can earn throughout it include Darling outfits from Lady and the Tramp, Dream Styles for Mickey and Minnie, clothes from The Great Mouse Detective, Tony's Restraunt from Lady and the Tramp, floral furniture, and the Flower Puppy Companion.
  • New Premium Shop items – The Premium Shop is getting a fresh batch of new goodies you can buy with Moonstones, including a Spring Cherry Blossom set you can use to change your Dream Castle skin, as well as Chez Remy, Scrooge McDuck's shop, wishing wells, the courtyard in the Plaza, Goofy's Stalls, and even the Valley Visit station. The shop is also getting a new feature called evolving items, which are assets like tools that slowly upgrade over time as you use them to take on a new appearance.

There's plenty to get done around the valley while you wait for this update to arrive. If you haven't yet, you'll want to work on swiftly finishing the Winter Warmth Star Path, as it's set to end with the launch of the Puppy Love update. This event has lots of tricky tasks for you to tackle, like digging for special crystals underground, cooking a fairly fancy dinner, and selling snowman building material.

Dune Awakening characters fighting

Augments have been added to Dune Awakening as part of the Chapter 3 updates, allowing you to customize your endgame builds by modifying your high-tier gears.

The Augmentation system lets you improve your armor and weapons by increasing their power. However, your enhanced gear parts will have less durability, which makes it a fine balancing act. This guide will provide you with all the required information for you to improve your T6 gear parts.

How to unlock Augments in Dune Awakening

If you've just started playing Dune Awakening, there are plenty of hours of content you'll need to clear. The Augments only work at Mk6 tier (or tier 6), and you'll need to reach that point by clearing main and side quests. You can add Augments to gear that are at Plastanium-tier only.

  • Play the new Challenge Mode testing stations that are repeatable events. Completing them will help you to get various schematics and Augment blueprints.
  • You can use the blueprints to craft the Augments with the required resources (more on this later in the guide).

To start earning the schematics and blueprints, you'll need to participate in the Challenge Mode testing stations. You can find the testing stations on the Overland Map, and they have difficulties from 1 to 100. To get the best rewards, you'll need to reach Level 40; all levels beyond that point only raise the difficulty.

It's advisable to play at higher difficulty levels since you'll have a better chance of getting higher-quality blueprints. All blueprint and schematic rewards are random.

How to craft Augments in Dune Awakening

Once you've obtained an Augment blueprint, you can start the crafting process. You can craft exactly one Augment with the blueprint. If you want to craft the same Augment again, you'll again need to find its blueprint.

To craft, you'll either need the Advanced Garment Fabricator or the Advanced Weapons Fabricator. If it's an armor, go for the Garment Fabricator. If it's for a weapon, go for the Weapons Fabricator. Once the crafting process is complete, you will need an Augmentation Station.

The Augmentation Station can be built with 15 Spice Melange and 75 Plastanium Ingots. The station allows you to slot in augments on any gear/weapon of your choice (as long as they're eligible).
