PCGamesN Thursday, August 7, 2025 9:34 AM What are the Battlefield 6 classes? One of the most fundamental parts of the Battlefield experience is its class system. With the Battlefield 6 release date approaching and one of several BF6 betas on our doorstep, it's time for players to gear up and prepare for what's to come. The audience meets a criminal protagonist, watches them rise from street-level thug to a position of wealth and power, then sees their inevitable fall from grace. PCGamesN Thursday, August 7, 2025 7:38 AM While we wait for more news and a closer look at GTA 6, you can check out the recently increased GTA 5 system requirements for 2025. The graphical improvements introduced in the enhanced edition bring some long-desired features, but at the cost of elevated system requirements over the original 2015 specs, particularly for the recommended requirements. You won't need the best graphics card from our buying guides to get Grand Theft Auto 5 running, even with the big performance upgrades that arrived with GTA 5 Enhanced. Ray tracing, FSR, and DLSS support for the game have, however, pushed the game's original system requirements way beyond what was originally demanded, and in so doing, relegated older gaming laptops and PCs to the legacy version of the game. There's no real downside to running the legacy mode if you just want to experience the single-player campaign, but anyone hoping to dive into GTA Online should be warned that legacy and enhanced edition players have no crossover. Columbus Circle announced it will sell a Switch 2 Type-C Wired LAN Adapter in Japan. It is expected to launch in September 2025, with Amazon Japan showing a September 19, 2025 release date. That product page also said it will cost ¥2,728 (~$19).
Currently, if someone wants to go with a wired LAN connection on a Switch 2, they would need to have a dock nearby and connect the cord to that, but this adapter will offer a different option. After plugging in the accessory to either the upper or lower USB Type-C port on the console, it would be possible to directly plug the LAN cable into that. The package only includes the adapter and no additional cables.
The package offered some additional details. It noted it is USB 3.0 compatible. It also said it supports up to 1,000Mbps. Below that, the package noted that it isn't just a Switch 2 device. It mentioned the Switch and Switch Lite too.
Here are the official photos:

We already know that, as a whole, Wild Hearts originally appeared as an Omega Force approach to the monster hunting game genre. It pulled in Japanese mythology, involved unusual takes on beasts, and incorporated building structures into the expedition and attacking process. We also thought it was really good! Wild Hearts S is doing the same, only now it's running on the Switch 2 for the first time. It's still a neat game with fascinating lore, but it doesn't run as well on this system. However, it does give us an above-average Monster Hunter-like to play while we wait for the console's library to expand.
Wild Hearts S follows the Monster Hunter sort of pattern, even though it is an original work by Omega Force and Koei Tecmo about hunting monstrous, otherworldly beings known as Kemono. Your character is a hunter who headed to Azuma in search of such challenges, and learns there is a remaining village of hunters like them there called Minato. After an encounter with a strange man named Mujina ahead of a fight they fail, they are saved and given the power of Karakuri to establish camps, prepare for hunts, reach new areas, and face Kemono.
In terms of gameplay, Wild Hearts S does feel like other monster hunting games. There are multiple weapon types, with melee ones such as a Karakuri Katana, Nodachi, Bladed Wagasa, Clawblade, Maul, and Karakuri Staff, as well as a few ranged options like the Bow and Canon. I especially like the Bladed Wagasa, as it doesn't feel like any weapon from these style of games due to being a bladed umbrella not unlike Setsuka's weapon from Soulcalibur. These all feel rather unique. However, while moves feel more methodical in a game like Monster Hunter, I sort of feel like Omega Force borrows more from Musou titles to make attacks more combo-reliant and swift.
Karakuri structures play a large part in these fights, further helping to set Wild Hearts apart. Hunts involve constructing towers to find the monster. Basic items, such as crates, springs, and stakes, can be used to block creatures, jump for an aerial attack, or grapple onto them. Creating things like Bulwarks and Shield Walls allow you to defend, you could create a Pounder or Repeater Crossbow for extra firing support, and it's even possible to prepare healing for your hunting group with Healing Mist or Healing Vaporizer. I will say it is a bit frustrating sometimes to get construction done in a frantic fight if you aren't working alongside other players. However, in ideal circumstances, especially with the Wild Hearts S Switch 2 version allowing parties of four instead of three, I found it isn't as much of an issue.

In general, the additional number of players seems great! Especially when you're early on in Wild Hearts S on the Switch 2. I was playing in the best circumstances, which was right at launch and tackling early quests initially. I'm still not having too much trouble finding at least one person to work with, especially if I play during peak after-work and evening hours. I don't want to get into spoilers, but I will say I started seeing fewer people around when I got to when I unlocked the Harpoon Karakuri. So people might start seeing fewer folks later in the game as players fall off. Especially since there isn't cross-play, so you're only working with other Switch 2 owners who also picked up Wild Hearts S and not folks who own it on other consoles or PCs. On the plus side, we can just hop in and not need to worry about an EA account this time around.
But the big compromise with Wild Hearts S is that it doesn't look as good on the Switch as the original game did on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The framerate is the biggest issue. Which isn't surprising, as I experienced FPS issues on the PS5 back when I went through the game on there. While our hunters, some NPCs we meet, and Kemono may look good, the environments everyone is running around in don't always look great due to the sacrifices that needed to be made to even get the game running on the system.

![]()
Though, in a way, I suppose I'm even thankful that Wild Hearts S is even on the Switch 2 and playable considering everything. I wanted to play it on a handheld gaming PC at launch. The Steam Deck can't run it. While I did notice more prevalent FPS drops in Handheld mode on the system, it was still playable and enjoyable! It's quite a success in that regard. But again, you do need to know going in that it might hiccup a bit or not always run as well as it would when docked.
In many ways, Wild Hearts S is currently filling an important gap on the Switch 2, as it is the go-to monster hunting multiplayer game on the system. The decision to up the player count for this version helps cement that role. Especially since it does act as a definitive edition with the Karakuri Edition extras and post-launch updates included. However, frame rate issues still exist here, only they feel more evident than on the PS5 and are especially notable when in a group of four, it doesn't look as good as it does on other consoles, and some effects from attacks or weather conditions aren't look great. I do think Wild Hearts S is worth playing and is a solid addition to the Switch 2 library, but recommend trying the demo first. Especially if you primarily play the system in handheld mode.
Wild Hearts S is available on the Switch 2, and the original game is on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

One of the many Kickstart missions in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 4 requires you to unlock your Starship Troopers mode and defend the Outpost from bugs.
This particular mission is part of the Sweep and Hold campaign, which is the second of the three Kickstart quest sets. Compared to other quests, the game makes it slightly easier with the location, which might vary. Typically, you'll want to open the map and look for a bug icon. There should be three of them on the map for a given round.
How to defend an Outpost from bugs in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 4?
The outpost over here doesn't necessarily mean the Outpost, which is located on the south-east edge of the map. These are different bases that the bugs have captured, and your job is to clear out the hordes.
Once you land, you'll be assigned the objective: clear out 20 bugs. For this, you don't necessarily have to kill the bigger bugs. You can easily target the smaller bugs that can be killed with melee attacks. The entire task of eliminating 20 bugs is pretty straightforward, but you'll have to be careful.
![]()
These spots will be active hotspots for players to land. The zones are great for finding OXR weapons as well, which is part of more quests. Hence, heavy enemy fire should be expected at these locations. To complete the objective, you'll have to repeat the process twice.
If you die without killing 20 bugs at one go, you will have to do the entire process once again. Your achievement counts only if you have killed 20 or more bugs at once without being eliminated. To increase your chances of success, it's best to team up with your friends. While some of you should focus on the enemies, others should take care of the bugs. This will help the entire team complete the objective.
Once you repeat and complete the objective for the second time, you will get 15,000 XP, and go one step closer to finishing the first set of Kickstart missions in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 4.

There are lots of unique gameplay mechanics you might not be aware of until you get a quest asking you to interact with them in Fortnite. One such mechanic is Capture Points, an obscure but useful feature you can use to earn solid loot.
A key mission you need to complete asks you to claim Capture Points in different matches. It's not too tough to get done once you know what Capture Points are and how to find them, so here's how to claim Capture Points in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where to find Capture Points in Fortnite
![]()
Capture Points appear all around the island in Fortnite, so you can come across one just about anywhere. To find one, look for the small white flag icon on the map. Unlike most other icons, this one doesn't appear right away, and instead only pops up once you're decently close to one.
I've come across a Capture Point near the northeast end of Outpost Enclave and near the west end of Resistance Base, but there are plenty more scattered all across the island. They're all marked with a tall post with a ring or purple flags hanging around it.
Claim Capture Points in different matches in Fortnite
To claim Capture Points, you need to stay close to the point until the purple flags raise all the way to the top of the pole. It's quite similar to the old Loot Island system, where you had to stay in the circle right at the center of the floating island until the flag was fully raised and your loot dropped. You need to claim one Capture Point in two different matches to finish this task.
All you need to do is stick close to the pole with the flag until you've fully captured it. It only takes about 20 seconds or so to stake your claim on any Capture Point, so you don't need to defend it for very long.
If any enemy players enter the circle while you're capturing it, your progress is halted until only one player is left in the circle. This means you'll need to eliminate them unless they decide to run off and leave you alone.
What do Capture Points drop in Fortnite?
![]()
Capture Points drop an array of random loot, but never anything that special, so you won't find Boons, Mythic Weapons, Exotic Weapons, or other such items here. Instead, you'll generally get Rare quality items, healing tools, some gold bars, and ammo.

With 2XKO closing in on its closed beta in September, we got a chance to talk to the game's Director, Shaun Rivera, at Evo, about all aspects of the game ahead of release. There was a lot to discuss, and although we have already touched on Yordles, we wanted to share the entire topic, as it addresses many questions the community was curious about.
Note: Portions of the interview have been edited to remove repetition and enhance the reading experience.
Hey Shaun, great to see you again! Let's talk 2XKO. Finally, closed beta, after all these years of development, you've just announced Vi. How are you feeling right now?
Shaun Rivera (Game Director for 2XKO): Beyond stoked. I mean, looking at this booth that we have here at EVO, everybody is playing, having a good time, and then being able to hit that closed beta on September 9 and start our journey on PC. It's very exciting.
Awesome! So, let's talk about the roster because everyone wants to talk about it. We see you have eight characters going into closed beta, but there has been a lot of fanfare about you having eight human or humanoid characters. Can you talk about the direction of choosing these eight characters and why you decided on these eight to start you up?
Rivera: Yeah. You know, I talk a little bit about this sometimes, but for us, we want to make sure that we're making a character that is going to be somebody's main, that they're going to fall in love with, and it's going to be their jam. For us, mechanical and thematic diversity are really important. And when we're having this roster, we want you to see, for VI, for example, 'yo, I love boxing. I just want to punch the hell out of somebody. I want to sway a little bit.' This is my character, and the same with all of our characters; we want to find something that people will latch on to, that they'll love, and they'll be able to explore, and then go from there.
Obviously, as I mentioned, the roster is very humanoid at the moment. I know a lot of people have been very vocal about something like a Vollibear or another more beast-like character. Is there any reason that you decided on these more humanoid characters to start, and is there an opportunity for something a bit more different to come out of the roster in the future?
Rivera: Yeah, absolutely great question. I wanna start by saying, of course, humanoids are easier, right? And so, for us, we know everybody wants a larger roster, so we want to get a lot more characters into the game. We're working hard on that. But also, I kind of want to take a step back for a second and recognize that League of Legends, the IP, has just an insane amount of variety when it comes to mechanics, thematics, and size and shape, right? And I think, over time, we want to take advantage of that.
Another complaint I've been seeing a lot is that there are a lot of characters here that were in Arcane. Do you think that's a fair comment? Would you not consider that when making those characters into reality?
Rivera: Honestly, I think it would be unfair to say we don't consider that at all, but I think there's a reason that these characters are in Arcane to begin with, right? They're relatable. They have amazing stories, amazing kits. And when we see them [we think] what could we do [with them] in a fighting game? We get mad excited? And so, yeah, I would say that's a small consideration. But really, we think these characters are freaking amazing.
How is the team looking at future character introductions? What kind of time scale are we looking at until the ninth character gets revealed?
Yeah, so I definitely don't want to spoil anything, but I want to underscore that we think 10 is not the ideal number that we want to be at, and we want to make more champions more quickly. I'll also say that we're not just, just a reminder. It might be obvious, but I really want to call it out. This isn't our fourth or fifth or sixth fighting game, in the sense that we have some designs we can use, and we can polish them up a bit, or things like that. We're really making everything from scratch, but we're also a team that's learning as we go, and we're going to learn a lot. Come September 9, in closed beta, we've learned a lot from our alpha labs.
And so we're both learning. We're growing as a team. We're making these from scratch, and we also want to make sure they're real. They're really deep, right? You can pick it up; it's fun, and through playing, you can explore a lot. So yeah, we want to make more [characters] quickly. We want to build that roster up for sure.
It's also a fair assessment that it's different. Making a champion for League that already has all that infrastructure, all those mechanics, you are building something from scratch. I don't think many people are aware of that, mainly because I'm aware that creating a character for a fighting game, balancing a character for a fighting game, is a lot more difficult and a lot more time-consuming. So I just wanted to ask what the team's thoughts and feelings are going into beta. Do they feel the balance of the game is good? Do you think it's in a good state, or are there still some micro adjustments that you need to make in that regard?
Rivera: Yeah, great question. We're feeling really confident and excited going into closed beta. This might not be fully accurate; it's more of a high-level statement. However, if you look at Alpha Lab One, we really wanted to push the boundaries of offense and see where that takes us. This is about as far as we want to go. And we definitely went past and found where our line was. For Alpha Lab Two, we wanted to push on the other way, on the defensive side, right. And, we went a bit far and we found out where our book end was there.
And then for a closed beta, we've definitely dialed it in to a really good spot. It was really important for us to find those bookends on both ends of there. And yeah, I'm really excited. Look, let me give you an anecdote, right? The day before we flew out, it's the end of the day, people are getting ready, they're getting ready, and we're, yo, let's run some games real quick. We'd stay after work, run, and scream, and the matches were super hype. Everybody was doing a lot of different stuff... It's a whole vibe right now. I think the team is really feeling the energy, and I think the game is in a really great spot.
I also wanted to discuss more about the 2XKO IP. Obviously, it's very league-focused right now. There are 150 champions to choose from. It's hard to know which one to work on next. Do you ever consider in the future that there might be space for an original character that is exclusive to 2XKO, and also, if you were to do that, what would be the thing that you would have to prioritize to make sure that it makes sense to be in the game?
Rivera: Boy, that's a really layered question. So let me try to take it apart a little bit around the original characters. I think that's something our team could do really well and execute on in a sick way. I think that, given our roster size and some of the stuff I chatted about earlier, we have a ton of players who are waiting for their main League of Legends Champion. And we often hear, 'Y'all are crazy for not putting this. Why is this champ X, Y, or Z not in the game?' It's because there are so many sick ones. But I think that if you make a brand new character from scratch, this character has to be really good, way better than normal, because this character could have been a slot that all these players were waiting for, because they're waiting for one specific champ.
So it actually has to be better than all the potential champs that could be coming that people are waiting for, right? It really has to exceed expectations. And so there's definitely a time and a place. I think it's something we're excited about in the future. I think right now, we've got a lot of bangers to choose from the League roster, so I'll probably start there.
I mean, just throwing it out there, Sett seems a given eventually, right? He's already built to be an arena fighter. But I was wondering of the roster that you currently have. And I know you can't talk about a lot of things, but is there any champion from the League of Legends roster you would love to get into 2XKO?
Rivera: I would love... That is a really hard question to answer...
You only get one.
Rivera: I only get one!? Okay... It. Let me think. Let me think for a second. This is a hard, is a hard question... I'd have to go Malazahar, and I just want to be clear, even though I'm talking about Malz, it's neither confirmation nor denial, that's in the game or not. I want to be super clear. I'm just speaking from the perspective of a character I like, and I love Malz... I'm often curious, hey, how could that work in a fighting game? It's actually your question, exactly. And how could it work in a way that's both fun, not super frustrating, to play against, and also cool to watch, and maybe play with in a duo with. And so that's something that, yeah, Malz would be my favorite.
So, going back to the roster, because I think this is super important for the game. When looking at the archetypes that you have. You have the brawler, you have the Zoners, you have some tanks, and you have Braun with his support and his build. Are there any archetypes you feel you still need to add to the game that are currently missing? Or do you feel you're at a point where it's balanced enough? And the next part is just taking the feedback, working on new characters, and then going and seeing how things go from there?
Rivera: It's the latter. I would say, there's always more we want to do, right? And we're just getting started. A great example is Echo—what archetype is this? Is this a rush-down character? Is it kind of a tricky character? I think one of the benefits of our game and and the strengths of our team is, we can take, , an archetype you might love, look at this champion, what they're known for, and elevate it in ways that only a fighting game can... we managed to get into a spot that's just, feels unique and fun. And I feel all of our champions have something to offer in that thing.
How amazing would it feel for you next year if 2XKO is on the grand stage at EVO?
Rivera: Honestly, it will feel amazing. I mean, it'd be a dream for me. You know, I'm a fighting game player and fan my whole life, right? Travel competence, as I can remember. But honestly, I want to be really clear: we have to earn our spot, right? And everybody listening, reading, you'll tell us if we've earned it or not, and we're gonna keep working hard until we do.
Last question, when can console players get to play?
Rivera: Look, we got nothing but love for console. But I'll say that right now, our focus is to stand this thing up globally on PC, ensure stability, and then keep adding more people. We want to keep it going from that point forward. We're not going to turn it off, obviously, maybe a maintenance here and there, but like, we're keeping it on. And so when we have more to share with the console, we'll share it, but we're just taking our first step here.

There are many formidable bugs wandering around the island in Fortnite, but none are as dangerous and deadly as the mighty Queen. She's a tough one to find and defeat, but slaying the Queen is a crucial quest you need to get done.
This is one of the trickier quests you'll face, as the Queen isn't always present for you to defeat. Instead, you must work to summon her, then engage in a mighty boss battle to take her out. If you're having trouble finding this foe, here's how to slay the Queen in Fortnite Chapter Six, season four.
Table of contents
Queen location in Fortnite
![]()
You can find the Queen at multiple infested POIs around the island. The locations where you can find her are marked with a small white bug icon that looks exactly like her. You can check for this icon on the map upon loading in to see where she's at.
The Queen can only appear at three locations, including The Hive, Ranger's Ruin, and Demon's Domain. The loot you get for defeating her varies at each location, so choose where you fight carefully depending on what type of rewards you're seeking.
You'll know a Queen is nearby if you see a health bar with the phrase "Neutralize the threat!" above it. Once you take out bugs and pods around the area to fully drain this bar, it will be replaced by one that says "Slay the Queen!" instead, as she appears to defend her fellow bugs.
Slay the Queen in Fortnite
Once the Queen appears, all you need to do to get rid of her is fire at her with everything you've got. Other players, both those on your team and the enemy team, can also attack her, so taking her down can be a group effort. There's no special trick or method for defeating her, so just keep attacking her until the health bar is completely drained.
What does the Queen drop in Fortnite?
![]()
The Queen drops one of three special Medallions and a Mythic Weapon, depending on where you find and face her. The three Medallions you may get for defeating her are as follows.

As an Italian-American, I have a bit of a predilection for mafia stories. The Sopranos, The Godfather, Goodfellas—I've had a taste for them all. But I've somehow avoided the Mafia games throughout my life, up until now.
Mafia: The Old Country is my first game in the franchise, and if it's anything to go by, I should be diving into the rest of them soon. This game is a beautiful romp through what feels like a classic mob script, with a unique setting, excellent performances, and tight pacing that was a joy to experience.
It's all about respect…
![]()
Mafia: TOC is a stunningly linear game, especially for 2025. The third-person, singleplayer-only story campaign is quick, feeling like an on-rails adventure through each tumultuous chapter, but I found its lengthl just right in the end. I finished the game in just under 12 hours, and the story told was an engaging one of crime and corruption, as you may expect, but also about love and family.
Set in early 1900s Sicily, you play as Enzo Favara, a boy sold to a sulfur mine at a young age who finds himself embroiled in the Torrisi crime family over the course of his adult life. The game's story feels like it could have been ripped from a mob movie decades ago, but the time period and setting set it apart, offering up some truly unique weapons, vehicles, and locales.
Working for Don Torrisi and his sometimes cliché underlings, Enzo climbs his way through the ranks of the organization, doing the family's dirty work and coming into his own as a man who started with nothing and becomes a man of respect.
And when it comes to respect, unlike many bloated open-world games these days, Mafia: TOC respects your time as a player (it even lets you skip long driving segments if you wish), wrapping itself up properly in an ultimately satisfying story conclusion. It's as long as it needs to be to tell an engaging tale.
You can replay chapters at any time and revisit locations in a semi-open world setting if you choose to do so, but I found myself happy with the game and ready to move on once I finished it. It was refreshing to open up a world map in a game and not see hundreds of icons and objectives to finish.
...but it's also about loyalty
![]()
Mafia: TOC's gameplay segments are sorted into a couple of different styles, including gun combat, one-on-one knife fights, driving, horseback riding, and stealth. None of these components are spectacular on their own, but their varied pacing throughout the game's events creates a very solid package where nothing feels out of place or too much of a slog at any given time.
The knife boss fights are fun but a bit too easy for my tastes, although I played on normal difficulty. You can attack, parry, dodge, and break the enemy's guard, but everything is pretty telegraphed and simple to execute.
Where the game truly shines, though, is its characters and the actors behind them in the story they tell. Everyone speaks with an Italian accent, oftentimes slinging Sicilian slang that you will be googling the translations of (I now know how to say cocksucker and several other curse words) throughout. It evokes memories of classic mob films in the past, and it's a good time.
The game clocks in at $50 for its base edition, which I think is fair. You're along for the ride in a classic mafia story, playing and growing as Enzo, and once the tale is complete, you're free to complete it by finding a variety of collectibles around the Sicilian countryside and cities, or move on to something different.
![]()
After finishing Mafia: TOC, I will remember it fondly as a solid solo game experience, and I wish that we could have more games of the same ilk. It doesn't waste any time with open-world bloat, it tells a compelling story, and gives you the option of being a completionist if you choose it.

Deadly bugs have overtaken the Fortnite island, and it's up to you to rid it of these relentless pests. There's a lot you need to get done to help this cause, but one of the most important tasks is increasing your OXR Rank.
This unique gameplay system is quite unlike those that have appeared in most other seasons, so it can be a bit tricky to navigate. Understanding it is crucial for success, so here's how to increase your OXR Rank in Fortnite.
Table of contents
What is OXR Rank in Fortnite?
![]()
OXR Rank is a gameplay system that essentially reflects your status with the OXR group. If you played Chapter Six, season three with the Hero Rank system, you should have a solid idea of how this one works.
The OXR is a resistance group fighting against the bug invasion that has overtaken the island. It's your job to help their case, and to do so, you need to work on your OXR Rank. The higher your OXR Rank is, the better the loot you have access to. You're rewarded each time you rise to a new rank, and certain areas also become available to you once you're promoted.
How to raise OXR Rank in Fortnite
You can raise your OXR Rank by performing key gameplay tasks throughout each round. There are many different ways to increase it, but it generally goes up over time as you work on trying to win the round. All of the ways you can raise your rank are as follows.
All OXR Ranks in Fortnite
There are five OXR Ranks, with each one granting you access to progressively better items and loot around the island. In each new round, you start off as a C rank. These ranks are:
OXR Rank rewards in Fortnite
![]()
Each time you rank up, an OXR Drop Pod filled with weapons, loot, and other surprises will be sent to your location. All Drop Pods are guaranteed to have one Super Soldier Boon. There are four different variants of this special Boon, and all of them can only be obtained from the OXR Rank system.
The Super Soldier Boon effects stack, so each time you get a new one, you also retain the abilities of the previous ones you acquired. This means that with rank S+, you have access to four powerful buffs from these Boons.
Reaching rank A also gets you access to OXR Bunkers around the island, which are secret areas filled with powerful Exotic Weapons. When you reach rank S+, an OXR Drop Pod containing a Mythic Weapon will be sent to you.
If you want to feel like a true member of the OXR, be sure to work on unlocking all battle pass rewards. There are some iconic characters who are part of this organization featured on it, so if you unlock them, you can play as one of the official characters who are part of it.
