Siliconera Monday, December 12, 2022 8:30 PM Nintendo showcased Emblem Roy from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. He will appear in the upcoming Fire Emblem Engage, set to release on January 20, 2023. Roy is a brave and resourceful prince, in the tracks of becoming an intelligent lord. He is a balanced Emblem, capable of withstanding and dealing a lot of damage. https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1602207436344946688 The Emblem Ring tied to Roy starts in possession of Diamant, leader and Crown Prince of Brodia and older brother of Alcryst. Roy is eager to fight alongside Diamant in protecting the peace that Brodia has been trying to achieve in their campaigns against Elusia and the Fell Dragon. In Fire Emblem Engage Roy is an Emblem, a character that can be paired with regular units to enhance their stats and offer new ability options. Named the "Emblem of Binding," Roy allows its user to survive hard-hitting attacks thanks to its powerful defensive options, along with offering powerful offensive area of effect attacks with his flames. Because of this, Roy is best suited as a frontline attacker and paired with vanguard fighters. https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1602208030149423104 Thanks to his Link Skill Endurance, any unit using the Emblem of Binding can withstand mortal damage as long as their current HP is above 30% of their maximum. Lance Buster is Roy's link weapon, and it allows him to revert the Weapon Triangle and easily defeat Lance users, which have an advantage against Swords under normal circumstances. His Engage Skill, Transcendence, temporarily increases the unit's level and enhances their stats. Finally, Roy's signature Engage Attack is called Young Lion's Crimson Dancing Flame. It delivers a devastating fire attack over 3 spaces horizontally in front of him, creating scorching flames that prevents the enemy's advance. If used by members of the Divine Dragon lineage, the attack range increases 3 spaces beyond its original. Jun Fukuyama will voice Roy in the Japanese dub of Fire Emblem Engage. He is best known for his roles as Joker in Persona 5, Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass, and Iscarion Colchester in The Diofield Chronicle. We still don't know who will voice Roy in the English dub. Fire Emblem Engage will come out worldwide on January 20, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch. The post Fire Emblem Engage Videos Show Roy Is Still Our Boy appeared first on Siliconera. |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, December 12, 2022 9:58 PM For fans of Overwatch 2 who have gotten used to the slow balancing of the Overwatch sequel, we have news. And for those who are tired of the dominant Sojourn, Doomfist, and Roadhog, there's good news for you, too. Game director of Overwatch 2, Aaron Keller, has stated a hotfix for Sojourn, Doomfist, Roadhog, Ramattra, and Tracer is on the way. This will, presumably, be a mixture of buffs and nerfs, with some of the heroes on the list overperforming and others underperforming. Sojourn is certainly not on the list of underperformers, and she will likely be one of the characters to get toned down a bit. At the start of Season 2, Sojourn was reworked slightly to move the power from her one-shot railgun to her primary fire. However, this just shifted her strengths around and didn't actually change much, with some arguing this has made Sojourn even stronger. Meanwhile, Doomfist received an absurd amount of buffs in an effort to make him a more powerful frontline hero, so he wil... |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, December 12, 2022 8:00 PM High on Life may be a comedy game, but its PC version is actually more demanding than you might be imagining based on that alone. The game has a 49GB install, so it's not exactly a tiny download. Instead, this is a fairly graphics-intensive game with large areas and a massive amount of unique assets. Performance for me was a bit all over the place, however. I played the game at 1440p using a 3090 and 2600x. Smaller areas gave me an easy 120 fps but things weren't so simple in larger areas. There were plenty of times I dipped into the 40s, so the experience wasn't quite perfect. There's a lot of variance, however. I'd get upwards of 90 fps at times as well. The framerate jumped around constantly, so don't expect easy high framerates. I assumed it was due to my CPU bottlenecking me, but High on Life appears to more heavily make use of the GPU than the CPU, as my GPU was often running at full bore and my CPU was only at 60-70%. But the game is stable... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, December 12, 2022 7:00 PM When Space Marine 2 was revealed at The Game Awards last year, it was like a cannon shot going off in the Warhammer community. After all, it had been 10 years since the first game. Many fans likely never thought they would see a sequel to the underappreciated hack-and-slash game. But Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive clearly we're going to let sleeping marines lie. A year later, and they delivered again with the first Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gameplay trailer. Hacking? Slashing? Oh, we have that. In Space Marine 2, Lieutenant Titus returns in his quest to secure the highest kill count on Orks. From what we can see in the Space Marine 2 gameplay trailer, he's making some good headway. Titus, a super-powered armored badass, slashes through hordes of oncoming enemies. With a plethora of guns, as well as the iconic Warhammer Chainsword, Titus leaves many bodies in his wake. The trailer offers a good idea on what typical gameplay will be like. Titus has access to... |
