Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Saturday, June 28, 2025 5:54 PM ![]() Yes, yes, you're reading that headline right. Yet another Battlefield 6 leak has taken place, if you can believe it, showing 15 whole minutes of the game that we all know exists but hasn't really been shown off in an official capacity. This follows on from the leak in March, and even just last week, which might have confirmed the presence of a battle royale mode. This latest leak offers something new though: the return of Rush mode, a mode that's appeared in a number of previous Battlefield entries. |

That doesn't paint a full picture though, and in a showcase held yesterday, they showed off a bunch of upcoming games, some of which they made themselves, others they're serving as publisher for. I didn't want to spend more than $20 per each amiibo, and I felt shock when I started to see the price tag for these teeny Nintendo accessories creep up. For the amount of use I get out of them, quality of the items, and general size, I basically stopped buying after getting the Noah and Mio Xenoblade Chronicles 3 set. But I caved for the Sidon amiibo, since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom character is among my favorite from those entries. Due to that decision, I'm starting to think the new amiibo design and direction might make it worth the extra investment.
The Sidon The Legend of Zelda amiibo is $29.99, which makes him at least $10 more than these figures used to be. ($15 if we count the older designs that used to be $14.99.) However, there are some additional design elements that immediately cause it to stand out from older ones without even removing the character from the packaging. Sidon is taller than older amiibo by a few centimeters. He's in a more stable position on the base with less translucent plastic holding him in place, and there are more tiny plastic accents present in places like his crown.
![]()
![]()
![]()
Once out of the package, I found the paint job on the Sidon amiibo to be superior to that of other figures. There's a lot of fine detail work on the character, from the spots on his tail, the webbing between his toes, the color of his fins, his fingernails, and his silver jewelry accents on his crown, belt, necklace and and gloves. This is especially evident when posed next to his sister Mipha, as the paint on his ankles and wrists is far more delicate than hers and exposes the skin and fabric, and his trident is more detailed. His trident was a bit droopy compared to hers, but that was coming out of being slightly bent in the packaging.
I think the difference is especially striking when he's posed alongside a Zelda amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While the most impressive parts of her paint job involve the barrette in her hair and the gold accents on her shirt, it's not a great figure! There's not much definition on the gloves or boots with mine, her eyes aren't that detailed, her boots are bland, and the pose isn't very adventurous. Sidon is much more dynamic in comparison and, even though his more aquatic elements do hide his eyes a bit, they're more intricate and his facial features are better defined.
![]()
![]()
The only downside is, as I mentioned before, the trident. The paint on it is great. I love that the size is so large that it falls off the backside of the amiibo base and it extends as far as it does. I'm just a little annoyed that the packaging meant it's a bit bent at the moment. I hoped leaving it out on a shelf for a while would be enough for it to perhaps straighten out. However, it does seem it will need a bit of outside intervention to fix that issue.
I'm sure this is probably a slippery slope, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom Sidon amiibo is pretty great. It convinced me that maybe these new ones could be worth a little extra. At the very least, I'd be more willing to consider them on a case-by-case basis.
The Sidon The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom amiibo is available.

Title Update 17 is yet to arrive in EA FC 25 at the time of writing this article, and it might first seem like an insignificant late-game patch. Yet, it offers a potential solution to a burning issue in the community: a nerf to those who constantly love to spam the tackle buttons.
If you have ever come across someone who makes more tackle attempts than passes, you'll know how infuriating it is. If you're someone who does this, you'll know how overpowered it is. After nine months following the game's full launch, EA Sports seems to have finally paid attention to what the larger part of the community wants.
EA FC 25 Title Update 17 might make tackle spamming obsolete
While you'll still have to depend on timing your tackles properly to win the ball, EA FC 25 will be trying to differentiate between a well-timed and mistimed one. In simple words, tackle spamming is the act of pressing the tackle button frequently without caring about accuracy. In an ideal world, this should be a poor choice (imagine VVD not timing a single tackle in real life!). However, many players have used the 'broken' system to their advantage, often using the CDM to make the tackles.
This specific set of sentences from the upcoming patch notes will be music to the ears of many.
In fact, this is the only gameplay-related change in Title Update 17, and it's a pretty easy one to understand. Apparently, defenders in the current build will land a second tackle instantly after a failed tackle attempt.
Once Title Update 17 goes live, your defenders (or midfielders and attackers, for that matter) will have to be precise with their tackles. On paper, there shouldn't be any instant attempt at a second one. Moreover, your players will take longer to transition out of their failed tackle attempt animation. Once the patch goes live, the penalty for a mistimed attempt will be much higher.
![]()
In all fairness, EA FC 25's gameplay may be far from ideal, but there have been changes since January of this year. However, there's a lot more room to improve, and one key area is going to be addressed very soon.
The patch is yet to go live, and it's the perfect time for all to shore up our tackling skills. Come next weekend, your performance in the Champions Finals could entirely rest on how well you can manually tackle and defend when required.
If you're interested in the rest of the patch notes, here's what you need to know

It's time to dance the night away during BitLife's Thunda From Down Unda challenge. Throughout this challenge, you'll play as an attractive Australian male who's one of the best dancers around. Things get a little wild here, but that's what makes this event fun.
Table of contents
BitLife Thunda From Down Unda challenge guide
BitLife's Thunda From Down Unda challenge has five objectives to complete:
You only need BitLife's base game features to complete this challenge. Although having God Mode to change your looks stats can help with the second objective, you're not required to use it and can easily raise this stat through other means.
Be born a male in Australia
The first task of BitLife's Thunda From Down Unda challenge is to be born a male in Australia. If you don't have an Australian male available in your Lives list, create a new character whose starting gender is male and whose starting country is Australia.
![]()
To make this challenge easier later, try to make a character with high looks stats from the get-go. Ideally, they'll be born with over 90 percent stats, allowing you to visit the gym a few times to boost them in your childhood and teenage years. Otherwise, if you want to make things harder, you can begin with low stats and progress from there.
Achieve 100 percent Looks
There are two parts to achieving 100 percent Looks stats during this challenge. Not only do you need to reach this level, but you need to maintain it until you finish all five objectives. Otherwise, its green checkmark will disappear, returning once you hit 100 percent again.
You can raise your character's look stats by going to the gym and walking. If you need a quick boost, visit the salon to get waxed, work on your tan, or get your nails done. In extreme cases, you can even get plastic surgery. I'd suggest leaving this task for last, just in case it drops by a few percent by the end.
Become an exotic dancer
Once you're ready to become a dancer, head to your full-time job list and scroll down until you see Exotic Dancer. It'll appear with a peach emoji beside its name and show up near the bottom of the list. There are no education or work experience requirements, but you will have a much easier time landing this position if you have high looks.
![]()
If the job doesn't appear right away, close and reopen your BitLife app or age up and recheck the list. The job list is completely random, so it may take a few years or resets for it to appear.
Hook up with a coworker
After landing a job as an Exotic Dancer, you can head into the Job menu to find your list of coworkers. From here, you'll have options to befriend, compliment, and talk to your chosen coworker, allowing you to raise your relationship stats.
The key to hooking up with a coworker is to check if they're single. To do this, select Ask Out and, rather than asking them out, check their sexuality and marital status. Although taken NPCs can still say yes to your advances, your odds are higher if they're single. Once you find someone you're interested in, head back into their menu and pick Hook Up to initiate the advance. Succeed in this once to knock out this task.
Go to the club
The last task of BitLife's Thunda From Down Unda challenge is to go to a club. This one is simple, as it only requires you to head into Activities, scroll down to Nightlife, and visit any bar. Doing so completes the challenge as long as your looks stats are still 100 percent, rewarding you with a random cosmetic to use on any character you wish.
Are you close to finishing the Challenge Vault? Be sure to check out how to complete BitLife's Time After Time challenge to get one step closer to unlocking Superstar Mode.

The global version of Persona 5 The Phantom X has a few essential differences from the early access and regional versions, and it also relates to Romance.
If you have an account on the Chinese version, Romance is possible with any character that you've recruited. You can improve your bond with the character via different means and gradually unlock the Romance. While that system, by and large, is present in the global version, Romance isn't currently available inside the game.
Table of contents
Will Persona 5 The Phantom X have Romance?
It's more than likely that Romance would eventually come to Persona 5 The Phantom X. As I said, it is still present in the servers in Taiwan, Korea, and China. Those with accounts in those servers should still be able to access them (but progression won't carry over).
I believe we should also get the same feature globally. SEGA has released a roadmap of content we can expect to come in July and August. The roadmap doesn't have an exact mention of Romance, but we are going to get more in-game activities and minigames. I won't be surprised if Romance is one of those additions.
![]()
Once added to the game, Romance will largely depend on you increasing your Synergy Levels with your characters. This is usually done with the Synergy Menu. You can increase your bonds with your characters by giving them their preferred gifts and unlocking various rewards along the way.
How does character synergy work in Persona 5, The Phantom X?
Character synergy is a measure of how much you interact with a character. You can do so using the Synergy Menu, where you get to know their preferred gifts. Once you level up the bond of a character significantly, you'll unlock the ability to romance them.
If the global version adds the Harem Route, you can romance multiple characters inside the game. This is based on how it worked in the early access servers, so there could be some changes globally. The global version might also have fewer characters as of writing, but you can still check out our tier list to build up your team properly.

5-star characters are the rarest ones you can find in Persona 5 The Phantom X, and you can get up to two of them for free (and without having to rely on your luck).
While you can grind and earn resources to unlock contracts, it takes a significant amount of time if you're playing free-to-play. Your best source of a guaranteed 5-star is in the form of Plans and the Beginner's Banner. If you manage to complete Lufel's Business Plan 1, you can pick one of three characters: Ann Tamamaki, Ryuji Sakamoto, and Morgana.
Let's take a look at which one to pick among the three.
Which 5-star should you pick first in Persona 5 The Phantom X?
Before taking a look at the best pick, it's essential to understand that you get not one but two 5-star character selectors. One of them is obtained by completing Plan 1, as I mentioned above. The second one is obtained when you pull on the Beginner's Banner 50 times. You'll need a total of 40 Golden Tickets to do so. Personally, completing five pulls on the beginner banner is easier.
Between the three, I will advise you to choose Ann Tamamaki ahead of the other two characters. Typically, a team comprises three roles along with a navigator. Out of these three spots, there has to be at least one leading DPS character who will take responsibility for dishing out damage.
![]()
At the time of the global launch, we have a special banner with Ren Amamiya (Joker) as a highlight character. He is, by some distance, the best DPS character to use. Joker dishes out incredible damage even at his base level and signature weapon. However, you'll have to get lucky to find him.
The best alternative is to use your 5-star selector for Ann Takamaki, aka Panther. She's not as good as Ren and will also require her signature weapon in the long run. However, she's one of the best characters to pick for free. She's genuinely good at both clearing story content and bosses, so let's look more at her abilities.
Ann is well suited against mobs due to her AOE attacks, and also against bosses due to her single-strike abilities. Her Highlight attack deals a lot of damage to all enemies alive, while buffing her for the next turn. Considering how easy it is to obtain her, she's the clear favorite. If you do end up pulling Ren, you can opt for Morgana for better team-building and synergy.

Microsoft and Xbox's recent amplified push towards multiplatform availability and third-party console production indicates a major strategic shift in the companies' console department. Reasons for owning an Xbox are steadily reducing, and the question remains if Microsoft is even going to make its own consoles anymore.
Microsoft surely isn't giving hope to Xbox owners
In the previous year or so, Microsoft has made tremendous progress in achieving software multiplatformity, whereby its games are launching or being ported to all platforms under the sun. What were previously first-party exclusives that never left the bounds of the Xbox ecosystem are now multiplatform titles and franchises stretching from the Xbox to PC to even its former adversary, the PlayStation.
Microsoft's push for having its games on as many platforms as possible has significantly eroded the reasons for owning an Xbox console. After all, you can own a PlayStation nowadays, play all the fantastic PlayStation exclusives (timed and permanent), and still be able to tap into Microsoft and Xbox's first-party offerings.
Add to that the ability to simply purchase a Game Pass subscription on your PC, and you've got even less of a reason to purchase an Xbox. You can even hook up an Xbox controller on your PC, which might just be the only first-party piece of hardware that Microsoft is going to continue to produce.
Most recently, outside of multiplatform pushes and Game Pass advocacy, Microsoft has been partnering with third-party hardware manufacturers to produce sponsored hardware that is being marketed as Xbox, though it retains little of the original console's branding, save the name.
![]()
The first official partnership was announced during this year's Xbox Showcase, where Microsoft confirmed it would be going hand-in-hand with Asus to produce a new version of the ROG Ally handheld, titled... the ROG Xbox Ally.
"This is an Xbox," Microsoft's promotional trailer said, noting how one could play anything on Xbox's repertoire via software solutions that allow access to the console's games via Game Pass and similar software services, alongside Steam and countless other game platforms.
This platform singularity that Microsoft seems to be striding towards gives even less reason for one to purchase a proper Xbox console, now that you can combine the powers of the Windows (also Microsoft-owned) and Xbox platforms into one, playing all your Xbox games and then some.
Recent leaks also indicate that Microsoft is partnering with Meta to produce a sponsored Xbox variant of the Oculus VR (Meta VR) headset, which is in stark contrast to Sony's move to make its own Sony-branded PlayStation VR hardware in-house and not in partnership with established VR producers. Sony's handheld is also an in-house production and not merely a sponsored piece, further solidifying the company's proprietary stance on production, whereas Microsoft appears to be slowly drifting away from making its own hardware.
Which begs the question of this article: could Microsoft be giving up on making its own consoles? The signs say that yes, it is at least moving in that direction.
Software over hardware is the new Microsoft deal
Microsoft and Xbox are actively negligent of first-party exclusivity that Sony believes is the biggest console seller, to the point that it deems certain franchises or games "unportable" for long periods to sell as many consoles through them as possible.
They are promoting software solutions (Game Pass service, bridging the gap between console and PC) rather than first-party hardware. Game Pass, in particular, has turned your gaming PC into a console-running powerhouse, seeing as there are few Xbox-only games left, if any, that cannot be played via Game Pass on PC. By engaging with multiplatform availability, Game Pass, and removing the necessity to even own a proper console at home, Microsoft seems to be giving up on the console production game almost entirely.
![]()
Compared to PlayStation, which as a company has nowhere near the software capacity as Microsoft (the latter is, after all, the owner and producer of the biggest operating system in existence), Microsoft can afford to make this move into software and leave hardware to its partners and corporate allies.
Since it can bridge the gaps and connect consoles and PCs directly via software solutions, Microsoft does not have to produce its own hardware.
All it needs is to license its software to partnered hardware producers, such as Asus or Meta, and that's that. They can even mass-produce these Xbox-capable partnered devices to gain as much market share as possible, which could institute a major shift in how console content is consumed.
At the end of the day, Microsoft and Sony are two vastly different companies, and, at least after this upcoming generation, I think it's safe to say that we won't have dedicated Xbox consoles anymore and should get used to stuff like the ROG Xbox Ally as soon as possible. On the other hand, PlayStation is here to stay, and could become the sole proper, traditional console people have at home.

Steal a Brainrot is taking over Roblox like nothing we've seen before. It reached over 1 million players in a remarkably short period, and we anticipate it will continue to grow. To maximize your chances of obtaining the Brainrot you love, you will need to migrate to a Private Server.
Roblox private servers let you play exclusively with people you choose. To create one, you'll need to spend Robux. Alternatively, you can join a server hosted by another player.

Steal a Brainrot Private Server List

Below is a list of the best and safest Steal a Brainrot private servers where you can grind safely and with peace:
The Recommended servers are community-moderated servers with set rules that help keep the server clean and fun for everyone. The Unnamed servers are private servers with no rules and are owned by a random player.
Why play on Private Servers in Steal a Brainrot
The advantage of playing on Private Servers is that there are rules, and not everyone can enter. Some servers even have special Boosts, like better Luck (3x, 4x, 5x) or have better spawn chances for rare Brainrots. Playing on them gives you the biggest chance to get the Brainrot you want.
How to join a Private Server in Steal a Brainrot
Fortunately, you don't need to dig through Roblox settings or the Steal a Brainrot experience page. Just use one of the private server links, and the game will launch directly into a private server. However, please note that these links are public, so the server may be full when you attempt to join. If that happens, you can either wait for some players to leave or try a different private server. Either way, you'll get to explore the three seas with far fewer players around.
