Resident Evil: Village Cosplay Conjures Up One of Lady Dimitrescu's Daughters
We all know about Resident Evil: Villages' Lady Dimitrescu and how the internet exploded in one massive thirst trap as soon as everyone laid eyes on the extremely "Tall Vampire Lady". Unfortunately, due to Lady Dimitrescu's elegant 8-foot tall hour-glass frame and those broad "I'll break you in half" shoulders, her daughters have been somewhat shoved out of the limelight and have had to lay in the shadow of her presence – until now that is. Feast your eyes on this wonderful cosplay of one of the daughters from Resident Evil: Village who might make you forget all about that tall woman. Maybe.
Kayla Erin, a cosplayer and Twitch streamer from Australia, has taken on one of the "daughters" who operate under Lady Dimitrescu's command and who also seems to love a bit of man blood as seen in the Resident Evil Showcase last week. Highlighting that man blood, Kayla splashes some gory crimson paint across her mouth for this stunning cosplay and also places in some scary contacts to make her eyes pop.
Pushing her Resident Evil: Village cosplay a bit further, Kayla even adds in the little details that include the hooded short cape with Victorian-looking brooches attached to it, a choker infused with a ruby stone, and a long-chained necklace with a number of strange items hanging from it. The only thing that's missing is all of those flies but I can see why Kayla would want to sit that one out.
It really is a stunning and well-made cosplay, so much so that it would surely give Lady Dimitrescu a run for her money. Speaking of which, I hope to see plenty of "Tall Vampire Lady" cosplays in the upcoming weeks that I'm sure will prove to be very interesting indeed. In the meanwhile, don't forget to give Kayla a follow on Twitter to see what she comes up with next and if you're into video games, cosplay, and dad jokes, check her out the next time she is live over on Twitch.
Throughout the Resident Evil Showcase from Capcom, fans not only got their hungry eyes on some gameplay for the title but we also got the reveal of the Maiden demo, which was announced and consequently released exclusively for PS5. During the demo, viewers may have gotten a teaser of the backstory about the mysterious Tall Lady, Lady Dimitrescu. If video game box art is your thing, Capcom revealed cover images that could possibly point to some spoilers for the game.
Resident Evil: Village will release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 7, 2021. A new demo called Maiden is available now for those with a PS5.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf Anime Series' Runtime Has Been Revealed
Witcher fans will already know that season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher has started production, which will hopefully release sometime this year, but there's more Witcher-related content on the horizon if you just can't get enough of it, and who could blame you. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an anime spin-off series, seems to have had its runtime revealed on Netflix. The popular streaming platform's placeholder page for the movie shows its duration is set at 1 hour and 21 minutes long. Unfortunately, if you're wanting to spend that time drolling over Geralt of Rivia or Yennefer, the anime spinoff will be focusing its attention on Vesemir, Geralt's mentor.
Redanian Intelligence, who know everything Witcher-related, have shared on Twitter an image of the Portuguese Netflix page with the caption "Thanks to @Medievilpt who caught this, we now know the length of 'The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf' 2D anime film, written by @BeauDeMayo"
Thanks to @Medievilpt who caught this, we now know the length of 'The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf' 2D anime film, written by @BeauDeMayo pic.twitter.com/ihPnQzPOE3
— Redanian Intelligence: The Witcher (@RedanianIntel) January 22, 2021
In charge of the animated series is the Witcher team Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo and animating the show itself is Studio Mir, behind Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender. We do know the show is set before Geralt became the monster slayer he is now and will focus more on Vesemir during his period on what he got up to and also how he actually became a Witcher. The Witcher: Blood Origin, the prequel series which was announced back in July, is set to become even bigger with the introduction of a group of talented writers known for a wide range of works ranging from Swamp Thing, Carnival Row, Moon Knight, Snowpiercer, Mandy, Iron Fist, and many more. According to Redanian Intelligence, Netflix is looking to cast Aquaman and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa as the lead character in The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Hopefully, we will get more information on The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf that will include an actual release date but like so many TV shows and movies right now, the pandemic has made planning anything a hell of a lot of hassle. Stay tuned to DualShockers for more interesting witchery news coming soon.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World Trailer Points to Q2 2021 Launch
A brand new trailer for ININ Games' and Studio Artdink's upcoming Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World has been revealed today. Alongside that, a release period has been revealed as well as prices and a physical release.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a full remake of Monster World IV. A side-scrolling adventure game that remains true to the original from 1994. The trailer showcases the game's cell-shaded 3D graphics that is paired up with 2D gameplay with the world being presented from different perspectives during cutscenes. Voiced by Ai Fairouz, the protagonist, Asha sets out to free 4 spirits being confined by evil forces. She's joined by Pepelogoo.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World has been created with original members from Westone Bit in tow, this includes the original creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa. Shinichi Sakamoto is on the team for composing new and improved music and sound effects, Maki Ōzora for the updated character design, and Takanori Kurihara as the game's creative manager.
ININ Games launching this means that the studio has been ramping its portfolio some more. Previously it's seen Bubble Bobble 4 Friends launching on the Nintendo Switch, and Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! on Switch, PC, and PS4.
The game's slated to launch sometime in Q2 2021 and will be available on PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Last year it was also said to be heading to PC. While the game will be available to purchase digitally, a physical edition will also be available.
With the physical edition, consumers will get an exclusive copy of the original Monster World IV bundled in with the 2021 version.
There are also 3 exclusive editions that will be available at Strictly Limited Games. The Limited Edition is a physical copy of the game along with a copy of the original game. The Collectors Edition will have the game, the original game, and a world map, the OST for both versions of the game, an artbook, and a squishy ball styled after Pepelogoo and "more". As for the Mega Collector's Edition, all of the above is included, but with figurines, a pin, a vinyl sticker, and "more."

GTA 5 Modder is Working on a Burnout 3 Remake in Los Santos, Check Out the Trailer
GTA 5 has received quite a lot of strange mods since its launch on PC back in 2015, however, it seems this is never going to end as gamers' creativity will never give up for more unique mods. Recently, LucasRPDJ revealed that he's working on a Burnout 3 remake in GTA 5 and its in-game trailer already looks impressive.
Originally launched back in 2004 by Electronic Arts, Burnout 3 is one of the critically-acclaimed action-packed racing titles that made a name for Criterion Games. That being said, the series never received a new entry since 2008's Burnout Paradise. Now, if you are really missing another Burnout game, you might find it interesting that a GTA 5 modder tries to remake Burnout 3 in Los Santos.
According to LucasRPDJ, the modder behind this project, the Burnout 3 mod will bring a new arcade driving style to GTA 5 that makes it feel more like a Burnout game. Other than that, the modder will add some new UI elements that give off Burnout vibes. The mod will feature a unique list of cars and might feature a functional online mode where allows players to race against each other. The only big feature from Burnout 3 that won't be available in the mod is the car destructions, which I hope LucasRPDJ work out something similar for it until he finishes the project.
It's yet to be revealed when the project will be finished and whether it will be launched in public or not. Given that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive often don't have an optimistic look towards mods, especially the ones that could cause them some licensing troubles, it might be a bit tough for LucasRPDJ to launch its mod publicly when it's ready.
GTA 5 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year.

Microsoft Flight Simulator UK and Ireland World Update 3 Delayed
Asobo Studio has announced that the UK and Ireland world updates that are to be heading to Microsoft Flight Simulator have been delayed. This has been explained to be because of the new photogrammetry cities being created. However, the studio believes the issues will be sorted soon with the release of the update due to be launching a week later than originally planned.
In a blog post published on January 21, Asobo Studio details the situation. The update is said to be "massive" and will offer players new aerials, new DEM, 70+ POIs, 5 airports, 2 landing challenges, and 5 brand-new photogrammetry cities. However, the photogrammetry is a new process and data source for the studio, and tools are needing to be updated to work with the game.
However, the team at Bing Maps is working to ensure the tools are working, and Bluesky, the data provider, is also hands-on with trying to resolve any issues. One of the key parts of the update is that players will be able to fly over a full 3D London. Other additional places of interest are showcased through some screenshots, including, Forth Bridges in Scotland, Blarney Castle in Ireland, and Windsor Castle in England.
The blog post also detailed that last week, players should have seen 15 new products added to the in-game marketplace, with 6 additional products being updated. One of these new products is the Eurofighter Typhoon jet that can be purchased for $19.99.
Recently Microsoft Flight Simulator has been updated to introduce real-time snow to the game through using Meteo blue data. During the announcement for that update, the studio said that it wants to "evolve this [Microsoft Flight Simulator] into the most accurate sim possible". The game has become the fastest growing in the franchise's history,
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on PC but has been confirmed to be heading to Xbox Series X | S this year. The World Update 3 should be available at some point this week. If you're curious about what we thought of the game you can check out our review here.

Joe Biden Gets The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Treatment in This Short Video
On January 20, 2021, Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America through the Inauguration that was televised throughout the day. The inauguration took place before noon where President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris stood before the world and were sworn in, hands on the bible and everything. Later that day, Joe addressed the nation while standing inside the Lincoln Memorial, and one user saw Skyrim meme potential.
Twitter user @NostalgicVGEdit, otherwise known as Videogame Edits saw a meme opportunity for Joe Biden's introduction. As you can see from the embedded tweet below, the video shows a camera going through the Lincoln Memorial entrance and finally stopping in front of Biden waiting patiently. But by throwing Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim UI on the screen, it gives the shot a whole new style.
— Videogame Edits (@NostalgicVGEdit) January 24, 2021
The video —despite it's Twitter compression— has pretty everything you'd expect from Skyrim, the first-person feeling floaty camera, the footsteps crunching with the movement, the compass marker at the top of the screen while also being animated to fit, the "new location discovered" pop-up, and even the objective marker above the President of the United States. What ties this together even more. is the "A to talk" prompt that activates Joe saying, "Hello".
I'm not sure about you, but I'd also have liked to have seen a level-up bar appear upon discovering the Lincoln Memorial as that used to be how I lazily levelled up my character. But it's sure to bring a chuckle to those who are fans of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
While The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development, Bethesda is now also working on an Indiana Jones game, but it's been said that development on the next installment in the franchise wouldn't be hampered by Indiana Jones.

Hitman 3 Will Receive Ray-Tracing Support on Xbox Series X and S
Since its release earlier last week, Hitman 3 has impressed a lot of gamers and stealth fans with its rich gameplay. The game managed to stand at top of the UK's boxed sales chart at launch week, with its launch digital sales setting a new record for the whole franchise. Now, it's great to hear that IO Interactive sees this stage as just the beginning for Hitman 3 with more content coming in the near future.
Speaking to Xbox Wire, the chief technology officer at IO Interactive, Maurizio de Pascale, says that the development team sees Hitman 3 as a live game and the launch date is just the beginning of this new journey. According to de Pascale, the team behind the game has already started working on adding Ray-Tracing support to the game, and Microsoft's Xbox Series X|S consoles will surely receive this feature when it's ready to launch.
IO Interactive had already revealed that Ray-Tracing support will be added to the PC version as well, sometime after the game's launch. Now, this might be a little bit concerning for PS5 owners as the developer hasn't talked about a Ray-Tracing update for Sony's new console yet, but since PS5 supports this feature similar to Xbox consoles, the developers will probably bring it to Sony's 9th-gen gaming platform as well.
While part of the development team will continue supporting Hitman 3, probably a major part is now working on Project 007, a brand new IP from IO Interactive that was revealed a few months earlier.
Aside from its successful financial launch, Hitman 3 also received some spectacular reviews from various outlets around the world. Kris Cornelisse from DualShockers gave it an 8 out of 10, even though it isn't the type of game he would like usually.
Hitman 3 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, Switch, PSVR, and PC.

Skater XL Optimises and Adds Community Created Warehouse Map
Easy Day Studios has announced that a brand-new community created map has been added to the skateboarding game Skater XL. The map is available to download for free and comes to the game alongside a bunch of other items available to install through the in-game mod browser.
Players will be able to download the new Warehouse map that has been created by community member, Yaky. the level brings a bunch of outdoor skatepark aesthetics to an indoor setting, such as palm trees, and neon signs. The park itself is ripe with ledges, hips, rails, and quarterpipes for players to chain tricks, or just focus on specific spots.
While the map itself was created by Yaky, Easy Day Studios has worked to optimise the level while keeping it true to the creator's original vision. You can watch the official trailer for the map below, seeing exactly how big it is, and what to expect should you download it.
In December last year, Easy Day Studios updated Skater XL to version 1.1 which introduced a library of mods that could be easily installed directly from inside the game. It was revealed that over 1 million mods had been downloaded in a single day with over 250 mods being available to choose from.
Along with the Warehouse map, Easy Day Studios said over 50 new additions have been added to the mod browser. This includes a bunch of gear to kit your skater or board out with. Griptape styles, decks, wheels, and clothing are some of the available items you should be able to apply to the game on whatever platform you're running.
The game's unique gameplay was touched on in an interview with DualShockers and boasts a very skater-themed soundtrack. It's also been responsible for getting 2 members of DualShockers back on a physical board, myself included now.
Skater XL is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch port is in the works, although the release date according to a recent Q&A is still to be decided.

Hitman 3 Takes the Number One Spot in UK Boxed Charts
While Hitman 3 was having a confusing rollout on PC, that didn't seem to kill off the hype for the game. The game has surpassed its predecessor and has claimed the number one spot on the UK boxed charts (via GamesIndustry.biz). Launch sales for the title were up 17% compared to its predecessor.
Breaking it down further, the PS5 version of the game was the most popular version. It accounted for 49% of sales while the Xbox version of Hitman 3 counted for 27% of sales. The PS4 version made up 25%.
These numbers only take into consideration physical sales. Many copies of Hitman 3 were also purchased digitally and are not reflected in these numbers.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons dropped down to the number two spot. However, it should be noted that it was only beaten by about 800 copies. The sales for Animal Crossing: New Horizons dropped 8% week-on-week. The game has been out for almost a year now and it continues to do monster numbers. It hasn't reached Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in total sales yet, but I think it might eventually surpass it.
Many PS5 titles dropped into the list this week. Spider-Man: Miles Morales jumped up 161% and made its way to the number five spot. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War also jumped up 56% with the PlayStation version driving many of those sales. Assassin's Creed Valhalla went up by 7%. However, the PS5 version skyrocketed by 174%.
Finally, Ring Fit Adventure was able to slide its way into the top ten again. It jumped from the number ten spot last week to the number seven spot this week. Ever since the global pandemic hit, this game has routinely been hard to find. I guess plenty of people want to get their exercise in at home.
If you would like to take a look at the top ten for the week ending January 23, take a look at the chart below provided by GamesIndustry.biz.

Hitman 3 Level Finished in a Mind-Boggling 9 Seconds
How long does it take to assassinate two targets in a densely populated stage in Hitman 3? Apparently only nine seconds.
Yes, you read that correctly. Less than one week after the conclusion to the "World of Assassination" trilogy released, speedrunners Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus finished the Dubai stage titled "On Top of the World," in only nine seconds under the "Any%" category. The feat was accomplished by simply shooting the two targets while they talk to others in attendance immediately after they spawn. Sounds easy right?
It is certainly easier said than done. Although it is hard to imagine anyone finishing the stage quicker than that, the runners are still trying to optimize their time by more accurately lining up their shot according to VG24/7. The time has officially been verified by speedrun.com. However, being that they assassinate their targets in plain sight, they fail to receive the "Silent Assassination" rank. Don't worry, that feat has been accomplished in only 17 seconds so it is not too far behind. If there was any doubt that Agent 47 is the world's greatest assassin, I think this solidifies it.
To the excitement of many fans, Hitman 3 has launched to quite favorable reviews, currently holding an 88 out of 100 on Metacritic. In Dualshockers' own review we awarded the game an 8 out of 10, saying "When all the pieces line up and your plans come together, the end result is a delight to witness," and "For those who are already fans… this should be just what the unusual doctor with the barcode tattoo ordered." Developer IO Interactive also revealed on Twitter that the game had the series' most successful launch to date, boasting high review scores and revealing that the final game in the trilogy had the biggest digital launch in the franchise's history.
Hitman 3 is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch and PC.
