Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Dying 2 Know Set for July 1st, New Infected Teased

Even after a few trailers during E3 2021, Techland will soon have more details to share on Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The developer confirmed that the next episode of Dying 2 Know arrives on July 1st at 12 PM PT. Animation director Dawid Lubryka told Game Informer that the team hasn't revealed all of the different Infected types and there will be "something new" on the next episode.

Senior technology programmer Lukasz Burdka also provided some new details on multiplayer though. When players jump into co-op with others, they'll enter their world and get to see how their choices have shaped it. But how does this work alongside the player's own choices? As Burdka notes, "The host makes all the decisions, and our players experience them. So you can witness how the world of the host changes as a result of their choices, and you can compare this outcome to your own world.

"So all choices and their consequences stay with the host – they don't affect your solo campaign, but you get to keep all the player progress you've made and all the loot you've found." How this progress will be reflected, whether it's in the player's own level or the different upgrades and tools they unlock, remains to be seen. Perhaps we'll get to see this in action on the next episode of Dying 2 Know as well.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is currently set to release on December 7th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC.

Steam Has Reportedly Put Restrictions On Region Switching Ahead Of Summer Sale

Valve has reportedly put certain measures in place on its Steam marketplace to prohibit customers from using its regional pricing and buying games for cheaper. In a tweet from SteamDB's Twitter account, it's been reported that customers will now only be able to switch their region of residence once every 3 months.

Payment methods also need to belong to the selected region to avail the benefits of Steam's regional pricing guidelines. Many users have obviously been using these guidelines to buy games on the marketplace for cheap, so this move isn't entirely surprising. Furthermore, it comes right before Steam's annual Summer Sale kicks off, which is known for hosting some of the biggest discounts of the year.

The Steam Summer Sale starts today at 10 am PT and will be running up until the 8th of July, and interested folks should definitely be on the lookout for deals and discounts on the latest PC games.

Konami has recently launched an open beta for a new football game that they're creatively calling New Football Game, which will allow participants to play the game starting June 24th at 00:00 UTC up to July 8th at 00:00 UTC. In a blog post on Konami's official website, the developer announced that an online performance test is available for its new football game.

"Please note that gameplay mechanics, balancing, animations and graphics are all under development and will be improved before the official launch," Konami writes.

Interested folks can directly hop on either the PlayStation Store or Microsoft's Xbox store to download the game and start playing right away. Most likely to be called PES 2022 in the future, the open beta is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

The purpose of the open beta is to test the network performance in online matchmaking across various regions. There's still no cross-platform play as of yet, but players within the same console families can play together across generations. Windows 11 Announced – "The Best Windows Ever for Gaming"

Microsoft has officially unveiled Windows 11, and they're claiming it's going to be "the best Windows ever for gaming" and will boast "superior graphics, amazing speed, and an incredible selection of games." Several technological breakthroughs that Microsoft have made with the Xbox Series X/S are going to be included in Windows 11 as well. One of these is Auto HDR, which will natively add HDR to games built on DirectX 11 or higher that did originally have it.

Windows 11 will also feature DirectStorage, which was introduced last year as part of the Xbox Series X/S' Velocity Architecture. "With DirectStorage, which will only be available with Windows 11, games can quickly load assets to the graphics card without bogging down the CPU," writes Sarah Bond, CVP, Game Creator Experience and Ecosystem. "This means you'll get to experience incredibly detailed game worlds rendered at lightning speeds, without long load times. 'DirectStorage Optimized' Windows 11 PCs are configured with the hardware and drivers needed to enable this amazing experience."

The Xbox app is now also going to be built into the operating system, which means easier access to Xbox Game Pass, while cloud gaming is also going to be directly added to the app as well.

Windows 11 is launching this Fall, and it will be a free upgrade for all Windows 10 users. You can check out an overview video of the new OS below to get more details on it.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S This Fall

Kerbal Space Program 2 is currently in the works, and if it doesn't get delayed again, will be launching next year. Before that, however, Private Division and developer Squad are revitalizing the first game and bringing it to the new consoles in enhanced fashion.

It's been announced that Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this Fall. An exact release date hasn't been confirmed. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will run at 1440p, while on the Xbox Series S, it will target a 1080p resolution. There's no word yet on what frame rates the game will be targeting.

The game will have full mouse and keyboard support as well, while apparently, the "additional system memory on these consoles results in a more stable game experience and allows for an increase of part count on player's crafts and contraptions." You can also expect upgraded shaders and textures.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition will cost $39.99. If you already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, however, you can upgrade to their respective next-gen versions for free.

Oddworld: Soulstorm Listed for Xbox by Retailer

Oddworld: Soulstorm launched as a PlayStation consoles exclusive earlier this year, but more and more it looks like that timed exclusivity period is about to come to an end. Earlier this month, the game was rated for Xbox consoles in Brazil, which was followed a few days later by a similar ESRB classification.

Now, as spotted by Pure Xbox, Greek retailer The Console Club has listed Oddworld: Soulstorm for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The listing mentions a release date of July 6. Though it's certainly possible that the details on the release date might not be entirely accurate, given the context of previous reports, it seems an Xbox release for the platformer might well be around the corner.

Currently, Oddworld: Soulstorm is available for PS5, PS4, and PC. In our review of the game, we called it "the best and most welcoming game in the series, not to mention the best rounded out one." You can read our full review through here.
