PCGamesN Saturday, March 5, 2022 9:25 AM There's a bizarre legacy to the final few encounters of Final Fantasy XIV's original main story, which has left the trial Camp Westwind, and the dungeons Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium an uneasy fit with the MMORPG's modern content. As previously announced, the devs are revamping those encounters for patch 6.1, and in the most recent Live Letter, they've explained exactly what form that content will take. Cape Westwind will no longer be an eight-player trial - instead, it's going to be a solo quest battle. If you want to see it again, you're going to need to check it out in New Game Plus. Castrum Meridianum is dropping from an eight-player dungeon to a more traditional four-player dungeon. Praetorium gets an even bigger change, though, as it's now three separate encounters. The start of the dungeon through the Gaius battle will now be a four-player dungeon. The Ultima Weapon battle will now be a four-player trial called The Porta Decumana. And the Lahabrea fight will now be a solo quest battle. RELATED LINKS: The best MMOs on PC, FFXIV Reaper job guide, FFXIV Sage job guide |
PCGamesN Saturday, March 5, 2022 7:56 AM It's already one of the best FPS games to release on PC recently, but some Halo Infinite players have wondered when the series' beloved campaign co-op and Forge map creation modes would be released. Now developer 343 Industries has given the best indication yet of when these modes will be added, although there will be a wait. Halo Infinite is one of the best new PC games from the last few months but the FPS launched without two major features - co-op in the campaign and the Forge map creator. Developer 343 Industries has recently said that Forge mode would not be available until the multiplayer game's Season 3, and a new Waypoint blog post has confirmed this - as well as an update on co-op. According to the blog, 343 has been "making great progress" on Halo Infinite's 4-player campaign co-op, but acknowledges that "it's going to take more time". 343 had previously suggested that co-op would launch with Season 2, which the post confirms as starting on May 3 - but now says it "will not be able to ship Campaign network co-op" on this date. PCGamesN Saturday, March 5, 2022 6:46 AM Halo studio 343 Industries has finally confirmed the Halo Infinite Season 2 start date, the season's theme, the first Battle Pass rewards, and even its name - Lone Wolves. The FPS game's new season will kick off in May, will include the return of a fan favourite mode, and will even have story content. Halo Infinite is one of the best new PC games from the last few months but some players have complained about the quality of the game's first season and its available features. 343 Industries has detailed improvements to Big Team Battle and the online store, but the biggest changes sound like they will come in Season 2 - which 343 has now revealed. Halo Infinite multiplayer's second season will arrive in May and will be titled "Lone Wolves", referring to a hunter-tracker group of Spartans described as "fierce, rugged, and prefer to work alone". There will be new skins, maps, modes, and even "narrative content" - which was leaked last week. RELATED LINKS: Halo Infinite release date, Halo Infinite system requirements, Halo Infinite ranks |

Siliconera Saturday, March 5, 2022 8:00 AM A Koei Tecmo fan survey for those who have played Atelier Sophie 2 includes questions about a possible English dub. In addition to basic questions such as which platform version you purchased, the survey also asks fans to rate various aspects of the game. There's also a section of the survey where fans can freely provide feedback and suggest changes. https://twitter.com/KoeiTecmoUS/status/1499912175510384642 The survey opens with a series of standard questions, such as age, gender, and country of residence. Following that, the survey asks where you first learned about Atelier Sophie 2, and why you decided to buy the game. Most of the questions are multiple-choice. Then, the survey asks for feedback on the game itself. Features range from the story, characters, and graphics, to more specific aspects like difficulty, port quality, and the amount of content in Atelier Sophie 2. Interestingly, there are two questions that are specific to the localization of Atelier Sophie 2 and an English dub. One question asks fans how important it is that a game is localized in their own native language. Another question asks whether or not fans would prefer having English voices in-game. The second question also allows users to answer that they'd like to have both Japanese and English voices. Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is immediately available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC. If you're interested in learning more about the game, you can also check out our review. The post Atelier Sophie 2 Survey Asks if Fans Want an English Dub appeared first on Siliconera. |
