Kotaku Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:19 AM Over the weekend we got our first look at how Starfield will play. Now, director Todd Howard has shared a bevy of more granular details in a new interview with IGN. The main takeaway is that Starfield is bigger than any of Bethesda's previous games, and aims to let you do everything from roleplay as a space chef to… |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:42 AM AMD is giving away Saints Row for free with Radeon RX 6000 GPUs, and specific models also include Forspoken, and Sniper Elite 5. Dubbed the Radeon Raise the Game Bundle, the offer could give players a reason to pick up a current-gen graphics card instead of jumping on the next-gen bandwagon later this year, especially if you're planning on picking up any of the included games. The AMD Radeon RX 6000 bundle covers the company's full range of RDNA 2 GPUs, from the entry-level RX 6400 to the RX 6950 XT. To receive a copy of all three games, you'll have to pick up one of the red team's best graphics cards, as lower-spec options will either come with just Saints Row and/or Forspoken. Participating retailers include the AMD store, Microcentre, and Newegg, while UK residents can also snag the deal at Scan Computers. The Radeon Raise the Game deal gives AMD the opportunity to promote features like AMD FSR, an upscaler that aims to help gaming PCs boost fps at higher resolutions. The promotional page highlights the RX 6000 ray tracing and the benefits of using a FreeSync gaming monitor. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:40 AM The Starfield character creation options gives players the freedom to create their own avatars by utilising robust features that haven't appeared before in a Bethesda game. If the character models in the recent Starfield gameplay are anything to go by, it looks like avatars from diverse backgrounds can be created without having to rely on Starfield mods. The Starfield character creation system makes it easy to design diverse characters due to the way it handles skin tones and body types. This makes it possible to build characters that weren't possible in Bethesda's older RPG games, which should mean a greater variety of NPCs across the space game, too. In addition to your character's appearance, you also need to consider their Starfield traits to give your character some personality and different skills. We don't know every single detail about the character creator in Starfield, however, there's enough information to start theory crafting your perfect protagonist. Here's everything you need to know about the Starfield character creation system. RELATED LINKS: Starfield release date, Starfield ship design, Starfield Game Pass |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:28 AM Looking for a rundown of the most prominent Starfield voice actors? Bethesda may be returning to the age-old RPG tradition of silent protagonists for Starfield, but that doesn't mean this highly anticipated space game won't still feature a universe chock-full of colourful characters with the voices to match. Here's everything we know about Starfield's cast so far. Back in 2021, Todd Howard revealed that over 300 Starfield voice actors had been hired to deliver 150,000 lines of dialogue. However, the studio has been remarkably tight-lipped on exactly who we can expect to hear as we journey across the Settled Systems. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:20 AM Many Starfield factions live in the Settled Systems, all with wildly different ideologies, areas of expertise, and fashion senses. So while this upcoming space game will likely play into the fear of the unknown that's synonymous with the inky black expanse of the cosmos, it's still your fellow humans who pose the greatest threat to your survival. When you begin your voyage across space, you are doing so on behalf of Constellation, one of at least seven different Starfield factions. As a new Constellation recruit, it's your mission to seek out and expose the secrets of the known galaxy. As a result, you may come face-to-face with one of the other factions during your travels, and first impressions are vitally important. Because we don't want you to make a fool of yourself, we've pooled together every scrap of information we have about each of the Starfield factions, including details of what role they played during the bloody Colony War that happened 20 years before the events of Starfield take place. While some factions live in one of the many Starfield cities, others roam around the Settled Systems, and one is so secretive that we only know of them by name. One last word: we're not sure if all of these factions will be joinable, so it might be that some are major players that you can join, while others are minor factions that you can't truly align with. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:16 AM Moving around in VR can be immersion-breaking, but a new gaming chair could help you run around in Oculus Quest 2 games while sitting. Dubbed the SitWalk VR Controller, the seat features a disc you can move with your feet, meaning you won't need to think about joysticks or jumping around your living room. Over on Kickstarter, the Oculus Quest 2 compatible gaming chair promises to boost immersion while using the best VR headsets. It'll supposedly achieve this by adding locomotive controls to the chair's base, almost like a big d-pad for your tootsies. Spinning on the seat acts as in-game 360 degrees movement, so you won't need to deal with any weird tank controls like in those old Resident Evil games. The company behind the contraption, Vaxis Inc, says it'll "reduces motion sickness and space limitations," two factors that could be a virtual reality barrier. A demonstration video uses Half-Life: Alyx to demonstrate the chair's abilities, but without trying it for ourselves, it's hard to tell whether it's an effective solution. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:58 AM So you want to know about Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires? Creative Assembly confirmed that it's working on a new, big map combining all three strategy games via the official Warhammer III FAQ. The studio states that, "We will release a massive combined map that will be a huge free DLC for owners of all three games." We also now have more details on when Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires is coming. Creative Assembly published another developer blog post in June 2022, this time dedicated exclusively to the new mode, going into more detail as to what "phase one" would entail as well as offering a narrowed release schedule. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:05 AM So you want to know about Starfield's cities? If there's one thing we do know about Bethesda's highly anticipated RPG game is that there will be cities. Four main cities, to be precise, although we're not sure how many minor settlements and stations will be scattered among the space game's 1,000+ planets. While more information has been revealed thanks to the recent Xbox and Bethesda showcase, we'll find out more about Starfield cities and the rest of the game as we get closer to the Starfield release date in 2023. Neon, Akila, and New Atlantis are three locations that have all been given 'location insight' developer videos. These short vignettes are light on in-game footage, but do feature Starfield design director Emil Pagliarulo giving viewers some insight into each city, what the settlement's primary purpose is, along with some backstory. Here's everything we know about Starfield cities so far. RELATED LINKS: Starfield release date, Starfield ship design, Starfield Game Pass |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 9:56 AM When is the Starfield release date? It was officially going to be November 2022, but Bethesda has recently announced a Starfield delay into 2023. We'll have to wait a bit longer for the first new Bethesda series in 25 years. Regardless, that's still cause enough to scream so loud with excitement that we could be heard in space. The eventual Starfield release date will see the beloved Fallout and Elder Scrolls studio leaving the ground and heading out among, well, the stars. A whole field of stars, in fact. You might even call it a star field. What has the studio found there? That's what we're looking to work out, as the first meteorites filled with information begin to fall from the sky. Bethesda's online-only title, Fallout 76, disappointed us as much as it did fans of the post-apocalyptic games series. However, Starfield is a surer prospect in some ways: a single-player game, just like Skyrim and Fallout 4 before it. In other ways, it's bolder and stranger - a completely new universe, whereas Fallout and The Elder Scrolls are rooted in decades of established lore, locations, and creatures. Here's everything we know about Starfield. RELATED LINKS: Starfield release date, Starfield ship design, Starfield Game Pass |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 9:50 AM It's not out until December, but the creators of Dead Space would "love" for their upcoming next horror game to become "the start" of The Callisto Protocol franchise - even as the team distances itself from its roots as a PUBG spin-off. PCGamesN spoke with Chris Stone, the chief creative officer at Striking Distance Studios - and the animation director on Dead Space - about the developer's plans for The Callisto Protocol beyond the first game. Stone told us that "we'd love for The Callisto Protocol to be the start of a franchise." Furthermore, the team has "no shortage of ideas" for where to take a possible sequel. Nevertheless, he confirmed that Striking Distance is right now "just 100 percent focused on making The Callisto Protocol the best game it can be" before the team truly thinks about moving on to a sequel. |
PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 8:59 AM So you want to know about the Minecraft recovery compass? The recovery compass is one of the many, many, additions to the Minecraft 1.19 The Wild update that was released a few weeks ago. It's not as scary as The Warden, not as creepy as the Deep Dark biome, and it doesn't have the appeal of the new Minecraft frogs, but the recovery compass is a very handy item to have on you after dying unexpectedly. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:44 AM Assassin's Creed Valhalla is coming to an end, with its next DLC marking the end of the story of Eivor. Yes, after almost two years of hacking, slashing, and pillaging, Ubisoft's long-running, open-world viking game will close out at the end of 2022, with a final chapter which players will get for free. It's been a long road for our burly, Nordic heroes, beginning with the original Valhalla in 2020, followed by the Wrath of the Druids, the Siege of Paris, and most recently, the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC in March. Ubisoft, however, is looking to the next era of Assassin's Creed – in a livestream celebrating the series' 15th anniversary, the developer explains that a "very special event" will reveal "the future of Assassin's Creed" this September, likely marking the announcement of upcoming games, as well as the "last episode of the story of Eivor." Nevertheless, this free, last chapter will hopefully serve as a fitting end for our favourite Norse warrior. No specific release date has been set, but we expect Eivor's final outing to focus on her latter day exploits, possibly taking place in Vinland, the Viking name for coastal North America. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 7:53 AM Someone has found a way to use the Steam Deck as a Gameboy Camera screen, and it's beautifully pointless. While most players will likely use the portable to play the best PC games, there are a few retro enthusiasts that are going out of their way to use old tech with Valve's handheld gaming PC. Assembled by Reddit user emil10001, the Steam Deck Gameboy camera setup doesn't use emulators or fancy cartridge adapters. Instead, a capture card acts as a bridge between Valve's machine and the Analogue Pocket, a reimaging of the classic console that mimics Nintendo's original hardware. The result? Well, the Deck is then able to display the retro accessory's software, meaning you can technically take pictures using the portable powerhouse. It's worth noting that emil10001's efforts are actually in response to melinte, who first used the process to connect a Steam Deck to a VHS recorder. That's right, you can actually watch old videotapes on Valve's dinky rig, but you'd have to strap the player to your pack and carry around a generator to watch them on the go. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 7:40 AM Minecraft is an incredible sandbox game that allows players to do nearly anything they can imagine. That's just the base version of the game too; when you start looking into the world of Minecraft mods it becomes even more fantastical, as this Mario Kart mod shows. You can have little gameplay changes like being able to ride on a phantom, introduce visual adjustments like making the mobs into Lego figures, or even make the game feel brand-new by changing how bosses work. Thanks to a new mod, you can also now enjoy the pleasure of Mario Karts in Minecraft too. Cirelectric, who also made the aforementioned Lego mod, is back on Reddit again posting about their "Standard Kart Resource Pack." It's based on Mario Kart, which is pretty obvious, but has a few key differences to keep things interesting. Our favourite little tweak is the fact that if you land in water, a propeller appears on the back of your vehicle to help keep your kart moving. It's a lovely little detail that helps to make it all feel a bit more believable, and it also means that if you're the kind of person that likes to design race courses, this pack will allow you to make them amphibious race tracks. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 7:06 AM Starfield, the upcoming open-world game from Bethesda, will feature combat that's inspired by the independent strategy hit Faster Than Light, and beloved PC classic MechWarrior, according to a recent interview with game director Todd Howard. Speaking to IGN, Howard references the fact that, as well as customising your ship in terms of abilities and appearance, you will also have to manage its weapons systems and power output, ensuring not to overload, or neglect to maintain, its various components – just like FTL. "Your ship has different power systems," explains Howard. "That's a little bit of FTL there in terms of deciding how much power to put into the three different weapon systems. Then you've got your engines, shields, and grav drive, which is what lets you jump or escape out of certain situations." On close analysis of Starfield's ship building, the three weapons systems that Howard refers to appear to be laser weapons, ballistics such as bullets or bombs, and target-seeking missiles. The ships are then further broken down into the engine, the shield, and the gravity drive components, with each one drawing different levels of power from your main reactor. You can also add different modules – living spaces, landers that help you safely touch down on rough terrain, additional shields, and extra power generators – though these do not seem to draw on the ship's overall output, and likely won't have to be as painstakingly managed as the weapons and engines. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 7:00 AM Warhammer 40K Darktide is scheduled to arrive in September, and the four-player co-op will feature Nvidia DLSS, Reflex, and ray tracing support. The bundle of green team GPU tools will help fans balance performance and fidelity within the Space Marine romp, matched with low latency tech that should enhance gameplay for FPS game enthusiasts. In a press release, Nvidia says it has entered a partnership with Warhammer 40K Darktide developer Fatshark to bring GeForce abilities to the shooter. The green team claims its AI upscaling tech will help boost fps on RTX graphics cards, which includes upcoming RTX 4000 GPUs. If performance isn't an issue, or you're planning to pick up an RTX 4090 when it arrives, you'll likely be more interested in the game's ray tracing tricks, as they'll help breathe life into Games Workshop's universe. Fancy visuals and frame rate boosts aside, Warhammer 40K Darktide also packs Nvidia Reflex, the company's latency weapon. Its inclusion aims to facilitate a snappier first-person gameplay experience, something that'll make all the difference if your setup includes one of the best gaming mouse options on the market. However, it appears that HDDs may soon disappear from portable PCs entirely. |

PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 6:01 AM Intel Arc GPUs are slowly, but surely, making their way into the gaming PC scene, and the company just unveiled its A380 desktop entry in China. While its entry-level graphics card targets a 1080p 60fps experience, its affordable price tag could help the blue team claim some ground within the budget builds scene. Highlighted by Videocardz, the A380 Intel Arc GPU packs 6GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 96-bit memory bus. It's also got higher bandwidth speeds than its mobile counterpart at 192GB/s. Benchmarks provided by the company suggest it's capable of running games at 1080p 60fps with medium settings enabled. In addition, Intel says the card supposedly outpaces AMD's featherweight contender, as it's supposedly 25% faster. than the Radeon RX 6400. There are plenty of low-spec graphics cards already on the market, and Nvidia is scheduled to release its GeForce GTX 1630. Yet, the Intel Arc A380 card's spec and the price could tempt budget build enthusiasts, as it comes in at 1,030 yuan (roughly $150 USD). Of course, that's providing the desktop option actually makes its way overseas any time soon, as the company is still dragging its feet with its Arc gaming laptop graphics chips. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 5:39 AM Steam Next Fest for June brings the chance for many fantastic indie games to show what they've got to players, and the Metal: Hellsinger demo is proving the hit of the show. It's a unique rhythm-based FPS game that's basically Doom meets Guitar Hero - or alternatively, if Doom was even more heavy metal. Metal: Hellsinger was revealed all the way back in 2020 and it looked promising even then. It's clearly inspired by Doom - it's a first-person shooter where you fight demons in Hell with a metal soundtrack, after all - except mixed with a rhythm game like Crypt of the NecroDancer. The demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest and it's already proving the hit of the event, as according to Steam it's riding high at the top of all three charts - 'popular upcoming,' 'most wishlisted,' and 'daily active demo players.' Given that the project is led by David Goldfarb, game director of Payday 2 and lead designer of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, it's no wonder it's getting attention - especially when the gameplay is so unique. |

PCGamesN Wednesday, June 15, 2022 6:54 AM Trying to find the best Genshin Impact Xiao build? Xiao was introduced in the Genshin Impact 1.3 update, adding a five-star Anemo polearm user to the game. Xiao is an adeptus, a magical being bound by contract to protect Liyue from daemons and evil gods. His elemental burst unleashes his Yaksha, a powerful spirit which slowly eats away at Xiao's life force while it's active. Anemo characters don't have a lot of Genshin Impact elemental reactions, though this doesn't appear to hamper Xiao's DPS output. Xiao specialises in dealing massive amounts of damage to multiple enemies at once, taken further with the Swirl elemental reaction which works with Cryo, Hydro, Electro, and Pyro. Xiao has been designed from the ground up as a DPS dealer, so if you need someone to do all the heavy lifting in your party, this may be the character for you. Players have a chance to pick up Xiao in Genshin Impact 2.7 update - here's everything you need to know about how to create the best Genshin Impact Xiao build. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:06 AM Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, a sidescrolling beat 'em up that aims to recapture the spirit of the TMNT arcade games from decades past, is both incredibly simple and a breath of fresh air. It's a basic button-mashing affair that offers nothing new, but that facilitated a good old chinwag that I didn't know I needed. It was something I really appreciate, when my go-to multiplayer games, such as Warzone and Destiny 2, demand my constant and unwavering attention. Lasting about three hours, Shredder's Revenge won't become your new time sink, but it's an undemanding arcadey jaunt that you can enjoy while munching on pizza with pals. Or, ya know, over Discord while everyone is surrounded by takeaway tubs in their bedrooms. |

Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:20 AM V Rising, the vampiric survival base builder and surprise hit of 2022 so far, has just got freshly minted Steam Deck Playable status - courtesy of an update to the Deck's Proton compatibility software. As per Valve's changelog for the Proton 7.0-3 update, V Rising is among several games (including Age of Chivalry and the original Vermintide) to gain sufficient compatibility with the Steam Deck for the second-highest rating of their review programme, just short of Verified. Technically, V Rising has been lowercase P-playable on the Steam Deck since late May, when these software improvements appeared on the 'Bleeding Edge' branch of Proton Experimental. Now, though, the update has graduated to the main, stable Proton branch, so you don't have to risk the potential wonkiness of a work-in-progress. I've given V Rising a try on the Steam Deck and it does indeed work, though it's quick to show why it only got Playable status and not Verified. |

Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:30 AM McDonald's Japan will have a special collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam's Char Aznable. Exclusive meals and drinks modeled after the mecha anime show will appear in Japanese outlets for a limited time starting from June 22, 2022. The new tie-up will introduce two new meals inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam. The Red Garlic Teriyaki burger will place pork patty and smoked bacon in red garlic buns. The Newtype White Triple Cheeseburger, modeled after the "White Devil" Gundam, will have creamy white cheddar cheese separate the beef patties. The Double Cheeseburger Sausage Muffin and the Spicy Double Cheeseburger, which had appeared on previous occasions, will also re-appear on the Japanese menus at the same time. The collaboration will also feature McFizz and McFloat drinks with a Red Energy flavor that combines honey with guarana seeds. The staff will pour these drinks into cups that feature either Char Aznable's Zaku II or Z'Gok. The Japanese McDonald's YouTube channel has also uploaded new commercial videos featuring the tie-up with Char Aznable. The Spicy Double Cheeseburger, Red Garlic Teriyaki, and the Newtype Triple Cheeseburger each has its own 15-second video. There is also a 30-second trailer where Char shows all three meals in the same video. [tnm_video layout="mnmd-post-media"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BjRJORXk1k[/tnm_video] These exclusive meals will start appearing at McDonald's Japanese outlets on June 22, 2022. While McDonald's Japan stated that the meals would appear for a limited time, it has not specified a date when it will stop selling them. Two new Gundam games for PC and consoles are under development as of this writing. The action RPG SD Gundam Battle Alliance will release on August 25, 2022. The free-to-play first-person shooter Gundam Evolution will be available sometime in 2022. The post McDonald's Japan Will Feature Gundam's Char Aznable appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:01 AM It's great when a game can capture a moment. TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is especially good at it, because it nails its goals across the board. It perfectly pays tribute to the 1987 cartoon series in an earnest way via maintaining the aesthetic and offering loving references. But at the same time, it's calling back to the 1989 arcade game by offering that sort of experience, only with more modern quality of life adjustments and conveniences. Channel 6 is under attack! The Foot Clan and Bebop are wreaking havoc. Naturally, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Splinter, and April come in to save the day. However, this is no isolated incident. The head from Krang's android body is also there, and Shredder's minions were there to reclaim it. What follows is a series of "episodes" in which our heroes beat down familiar minions from the 1987 series, watch as the exo-suit parts are recollected, and hopefully thwart enemies' evil plans. You know, while also collecting newspapers, nasty looking bugs, and VHS tapes for rescued supporting cast members. The people at Tribute Games previously worked on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, and you can tell while playing TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. There's the same feel to it. This is a combo-heavy game that encourages players to constantly beat up on opponents. (If you do so together at the same time, you might even trigger a team attack.) But while there is that, there's a benefit to thinking before button-mashing. You can use charged attacks and dodge, and there are varying super attacks that rely on Ninja Power. (Though if you are going through the campaign, you'll need to increase your Power Level via playing to unlock these extra actions.) It also very much encourages cooperating with others. Not only are there those team attacks, but you can share help by "cheering" someone up or go to an ally about to die and "wave pizza" near them to revive them. Stages are filled with the sorts of nods to the original 1987 animated series people would expect. The stages go around New York City, with the group traveling to each one in the Party Wagon. Each location acts as an "episode," with pacing designed to both feel like an entry in the show and a beat'em up along the lines of Streets of Rage. Stages could have hazards, like open manholes to fall into or telegraphed missiles occasionally raining down. Foot Clan members may be engaged in daily activities in the background, before leaping into the fight. Beating up certain landmarks can reveal characters like Irma, Vernon Fenwick, or the Punk Frogs. Finding them unlocks opportunities to find collectibles in stages for them for points. Also, each stage can have challenges like avoiding being hit by certain projectiles or clearing it without using a specific attack. At the end of each area, a classic foe like Rocksteady shows up as the boss. It generally feels fantastic! Every stage is essentially a love letter to the show, complete with little callbacks if you pay attention. There's only one time I didn't have a good time with TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is when aerial enemies were involved. Certain stages involve the team on hoverboards and skateboards. When it comes to characters' aerial attacks, it means they perform a dive kick while in midair, rather than launching into an aerial combo. It means constantly picking at a foe, hoping to get the positioning right and nail one or two hits. (Unless you're Donatello and perform his special, in which case the AOE takes out everybody adjacent to and above him.) This also meant one boss fight felt a bit more frustrating. Not because it was especially challenging, but because you had to deal with those flying foes. But really, aside from those enemies, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is quite balanced. There are three difficulty levels going into it. Both basic opponents and bosses telegraph their attacks, so you can properly respond to them. The more ordinary foes are both color-coded and carry weapons, to help make them easy to distinguish. Health-restoring items come up at handy moments, which means it feels as manageable alone as it does with other people. The Arcade Mode feels like going into an arcade and playing, due to the lack of a save state, no need to unlock moves, and keeping track of lives. The campaign feels more relaxed, as it encourages someone to replay, perhaps test out other characters, and take their time. I was disappointed to find you don't get multiple save files for the Story Mode. So once you start an adventure, you pretty much need to keep continuing it or lose everything you've done. TMNT: Shredder's Revenge feels like a time capsule. You can tell going into it that the people at Tribute Games deeply respected the source material. They did their research, both in terms of watching the show and playing past titles. It is also absolutely evident that they worked on similar sorts of games, because it often feels as fluid as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. There are a few situations that frustrated me, but it's genuinely a joyful experience. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 16, 2022. Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:30 AM After multiple delays, there is finally a Digimon Survive release date. Bandai Namco announced the strategy game will appear on July 29, 2022. This comes after the company promised it would appear in Summer 2022. The announcement is also accompanied by a new trailer showing off gameplay. The new video begins with Takuma and the group in a new, hostile area. Shuuji, one of players' allies, warns that people could die if they explore the area. It then shows Takuma making a decision that does result in the ground giving way below his feet. After that, the video shows how the in-game smartphone works. Someone could use it to explore the environment. By carefully looking around, a person could discover hidden items. It is also used to navigate the world and go from place to place. Around the 50 second mark, the Digimon Survive release date trailer looks at one of its strategic battles. Takuma tries to protect Koromon from a hostile Digimon. This prompts Koromon to evolve into Agumon to fight back. Here's the full trailer looking over the game so far. The Digimon Survive release date is July 29, 2022. It will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The post Digimon Survive Release Date Falls in July 2022 appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 10:00 AM Square Enix announced another FFXIV free login campaign began on June 15, 2022. The goal of these events is to allow people who used to play a chance to stop by again. This way, they can sample new content and perhaps get back into the MMORPG again. For this latest iteration, folks who log in then have 96 hours to play for free. As usual, you need to meet certain conditions to take part. You have to own FFXIV and have an inactive account before taking advantage of the June 2022 free login campaign. This means you can't be a current player and have paid for a subscription in the past 30 days. If you own multiple accounts and one of them is active, you can't take part. Also, you can't try it out again if you were suspended or had a canceled account. So if someone starts playing on June 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. ET, they will then be able to play for free until June 19, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The 6.15 patch is out now. The current FFXIV free login campaign will run June 15-30, 2022. Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 9:35 AM More people can try out Disgaea 6, as a demo is now available for both the PS4 and PS5. This is for the "complete" version of the game, which means all additional content is present. There is no trial out for the PC version of the game, even though it will also appear alongside the two console iterations this month. There is a trailer to help explain what to expect from the Disgaea 6 Complete PS4 or PS5 demo. It notes how Zed, a zombie that keeps increasing in strength, fought and defeated a God of Destruction. Then, it shows off the traditional, turn-based gameplay as it goes over how Zed got so strong. If this demo follows in the footsteps of the Nintendo Switch one, it should cover the beginning of the game and allow save data to be carried over. Disgaea 6 Complete will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 28, 2022. The base game is available on the Nintendo Switch. You can also already get the PS4 version in Japan. The Disgaea 6 Complete demo is out for the PS4 and PS5 now. The post Disgaea 6 Complete Demo Released for PS4 and PS5 appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 9:00 AM The annual Monster Hunter orchestra concert will return in 2022, and it will take place both physically and online. Capcom and Promax will hold the concert in a hybrid format on August 27, 2022. This concert will have both physical and online audiences. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the conductor Hirofumi Kurita will return to perform tracks from the monster-hunting game series. The webpage also confirmed that the set list will include new tracks from Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. As of this writing, Promax has yet to open sales for the live streaming tickets. Once the tickets are available, they will cost 3,500 yen (~$26). Prospective buyers will also have to consider additional fees from the streaming platform. Capcom and Promax have been holding Monster Hunter orchestra concerts annually since 2014. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the 2020 edition to take place without a physical audience. However, it also marked the first time Capcom launched a global live stream that people from almost all countries could watch. The 2021 concert also took place exclusively online. Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert 2022 will take place at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 17:00 JST (4 AM ET). Siliconera Wednesday, June 15, 2022 5:00 AM The hack-and-slash action title Lollipop Chainsaw may be getting a revival soon. Yoshimi Yasuda, the former CEO of Kadokawa Games, announced via Twitter that his new company was planning on revitalizing the game. While details are still scarce, Yasuda urged fans to wait and look forward to the game's release. Dragami Games is a video game publishing company founded on May 13, 2022. It was formed after Yasuda and fellow Kadokawa Games company director Satoshi Fuyuno split from the company. Though relatively new, Dragami Games employs around 20 former Kadokawa Games employees. More importantly, the company also holds the IPs of games such as Lollipop Chainsaw, the Demon Gaze series, Relayer, and √Letter, among others. https://twitter.com/yasudaD5/status/1536826749623095296?s=20&t=vq_6t9wVd9M6UjgzZ10ZuA Interestingly, Lollipop Chainsaw celebrated its tenth anniversary just one day after Yasuda's announcement. https://twitter.com/yasudaD5/status/1536460905948450816?s=20&t=4HnIBRhvG5l_-cgcOdHnLQ Lollipop Chainsaw, originally released in 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture under Goichi Suda aka Suda51. Yasuda served as the game's publisher at Kadokawa Games. American screenwriter and director James Gunn also helped write Lollipop Chainsaw, and recently appeared at the game's tenth-anniversary celebration along with Suda. It's still unclear whether Grasshopper Manufacture will develop the game's revival project. Lollipop Chainsaw is available to play on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The unannounced Lollipop Chainsaw revival project is currently in the works. The post Dragami Games is Planning a Lollipop Chainsaw Revival appeared first on Siliconera. |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, June 15, 2022 11:00 AM Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is available for free on GOG. This deal is being offered as part of GOG's Summer Sale, which is running until June 27. You'll have to act quickly though, as The Pirate's Curse is only free for another 24 hours . The offer expires on June 16 at 9 AM ET. The Pirate's Curse is the third game released in WayForward's signature Shantae series. Although the original and Risky's Revenge were good games, it was the third installment that elevated Shantae to new heights. Upon release, the game received critical acclaim and is still regarded as one of the best platformers of its generation. For some, a particularly appealing aspect of this deal is that it's DRM-free through GOG. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management, and refers to the process in which publishers can restrict access to their products even after you buy them. For example, if you buy a game on Steam you only have access to that game on one acco... |
