Minecraft mod lets you live your Dance Dance Revolution fantasy

Minecraft Redstone is easily one of the most entertaining things to see working. Despite being fairly straightforward when it was first introduced, things have changed so much since then that you can do nearly anything with it now. We've seen a few different games ported into Minecraft already, including Minesweeper, but today's video shows off a working Dance Dance Revolution.

No Man's Sky Endurance update adds new missions, bridge and vast bases

No Man's Sky's new update, named Endurance, is transforming the space RPG once again by adding a host of visual, mechanical, and quality-of-life changes, including bigger bases, new Nexus missions, and a fresh expedition called Polestar.

We'll start with the smaller stuff; the little tweaks and additions that contribute to No Man's Sky's rich, alluring atmosphere. First, you can now add portholes, windows, and externally mounted observation decks to your ships, allowing you to bask in the universe from the comfort of your freighter. There are also some new atmospheric elements in the form of interstellar black holes and nebulae, and asteroid fields are now a lot denser, with thousands of drifting, deadly rocks able to appear on-screen at once.

The last League of Legends patch before Worlds, 12.14, has been previewed today by the lead designer at Riot, and it's a hefty one.      Latest WoW Dragonflight Alpha build revamps Shaman talent trees

Shamans have a long history in World of Warcraft. They were one of the original nine classes available in the initial MMORPG launch back in 2006, and at the time were only available to Horde players (Alliance, meanwhile, had the exclusive rights to Paladins). Nowadays they're open to both factions, and have a solid place in any raiding party.

For the newest expansion, Dragonflight, Blizzard are completely reworking the talent system. Instead of a pick-from-three option every 5-10 levels, full on talent trees are making a return for the first time since Mists of Pandaria. Each class will have four trees - a core class tree that every spec will be able to access, and three specialisation trees. In addition, all classes will have a number of baseline abilities that any spec will learn automatically. So far we've seen the new trees for Rogues, Hunters, Death Knights and Priests - but now it's time for Shamans to take their turn up at the plate. A full official breakdown is not yet available, but we'll quickly run down some of the more notable changes.

Terraria 1.4.4 update to endgame item divides fans

Terraria lead Andrew 'Redigit' Spinks is teasing several new features for the Terraria 1.4.4 update, and one proposed endgame item change has divided fans, causing a sense of consternation among some players of the crafting game while proving popular with others.

Spinks, who is the lead developer at Re-Logic working on the indie game, loves to respond to fan suggestions on Twitter and Reddit, often giving very succinct replies confirming that he is taking an idea on board or sometimes offering cryptic replies to hint at upcoming concepts or items related to fan queries and theories.

The item in question is the Ankh Shield - an endgame accessory which combines the Obsidian Shield with the Ankh Charm, which translates to a combination of eleven base items in total. Once crafted, the shield offers immunity to knockback, damage from fire blocks, and most debuffs in the game. However, it doesn't currently offer petrification immunity. One fan asked for this feature to be added, to which Spinks responded, "Sure."

Thankfully, the company is actively developing new software functionality that should help you to avoid losing your data or worse.

All Elden Ring crystal tears locations

Want to know where to find the Elden Ring crystal tears? Just like the Estus flasks in Dark Souls, you start the game with healing flasks that you can refill at Sites of Grace. However, this isn't the only type of healing item available - the Flask of Wondrous Physick is a customisable alternative.

These Elden Ring crystal tears are not to be confused with the Elden Ring golden seeds that upgrade the number of charges you have for your Crimson Flask and Cerulean Flask. There are plenty of crystal tears you can find in The Lands Between, and their effects trigger simultaneously every time you take a sip, and you can swap them at any Site of Grace. We'll go over all of the crystal tears' effects and where you can find them to use with your Flask of Wondrous Physick.

Assassin's Creed players are planning a huge online funeral

Assassin's Creed players are planning a huge funeral for the stealth RPG, after Ubisoft announces that on September 1, the multiplayer servers for a variety of its older titles will be closed for good, including Assassin's Creed 3, Brotherhood, and Revelations.

As originally reported by GamesRadar, over on the Assassin's Creed fan Reddit, user FarlandsDesign has constructed an intricate programme, spanning six separate weekends, for commemorating the games that are due to be closed down. First, players may pay their respects to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the AC2 spin off which was the first in the series to introduce a multiplayer component. On July 23 to 24, and July 29 to 30, players are encouraged to log into Brotherhood's online mode and play for at least an hour, starting at 7PM GMT.

Diablo Immortal patch notes: New Helliquary boss, F2P eternal crests

The latest Diablo Immortal patch notes are here for the July 20 Diablo Immortal update, which adds a class change feature along with a new Helliquary boss, a hoard of new legendaries with a focus on DoT effects, and the first way for players of the RPG game to earn the elusive eternal legendary crests without spending real money.

Players can now change their character class once per week, at no cost, from level 35 onwards. When doing so, you will be granted a set of placeholder gear, and there is also a one-time option to undo the change should you realise that you've made a terrible mistake. Blizzard says "there are no current plans to allow players to purchase the ability to change classes more frequently."

A new Helliquary boss has entered the fray - the rather toothy Gorgothra the Claimer. In case the name hasn't clued you in, Gorgothra is a gorgon-like foe with "petrification rays, bilious venom, and serpentine strikes." Gorgothra arrives on August 2, and the update post says that her power level dwarfs that of previous Helliquary bosses Lassal and Vitaath, which will no doubt worry some players who still aren't sure when they are going to be ready to fight Vitaath, the Helliquary's second boss.

The best FARA 83 loadout in Warzone

Want to know the best loadout for the FARA 83 in Warzone? The FARA 83 has been making the rounds recently thanks to a newly discovered 'zero recoil' build. It's been a long time since the FARA 83 was considered one of the best assault rifles in Warzone, but this newest build could return the gun back to its glory days.

For most players, the best FARA 83 loadout is a strong off-meta pick thanks to its impressive recoil stability. Whether aiming at players from up close or from a distance, the FARA 83 always manages to remain steady. While this loadout performs well on Caldera, we highly recommend using it on Rebirth Island to get the most of its close-range capabilities.

Overwatch 2 beta easter egg hints at new fox support hero

Overwatch 2 is already getting new damage and tank heroes in the form of Sojourn and Junker Queen respectively, but hints of a new, fox-themed support hero have also continued to appear, first in the game's Xbox Showcase trailer, and now in a mysterious line of code buried at the end of the beta.

Jump to a certain point in Overwatch 2's official reveal, and you can briefly see a blue-tinted, ethereal fox skipping away from a band of pursuers. That arrived on June 12, with the beta following shortly after on June 28 – Sojourn and Junker Queen were both playable, but there was no further mention of anything even vaguely fox related.

Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels expansion is out and reader, I am in love. Firmly leaning – shoving, really – into the base game's arcadey side, it's a gleefully silly collection of physics-mocking race events across an eye-catching tangle of twisting, looping tracks. In between challenges, and flashbacks to covering the floor of my grandparents' house with ribbons of orange plastic, I've also been testing how the DLC's new skybound setting performs on PC.

Jonat is wandering around in the pitch black while everyone sleeps, even though he is: a) afraid of the dark, and b) a baby. This here is Clanfolk, a settlement sim about a family of Scottish tamagotchis. The first thing you'll be screaming at me, as if I have not noticed, is how recognisably Rimworldy it looks. You're right. Considering RimWorld cribbed plenty of its own notes from Dwarf Fortress and Prison Architect, it might feel incongruous to criticise Clanfolk for clinging too tightly to the hem of its inspiration. Sadly, it's true. It is a drier, slower and more bucolic take on the exact same game.

Yakuza 8 Images

The first in-development images of Yakuza 8 appeared in a recent office tour video, confirming the return of a few key characters. The video appeared on the YouTube channel of Japanese YouTuber and celebrity Mikuru Asakura, who visited the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio offices in order to discuss a cameo in the upcoming game. Additionally, the video showed how the company performed motion capture for its games. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The video starts with Asakura meeting with the CEO of Sega Sammy Holdings, Haruki Satomi. After discussing whether Asakura would be interested in appearing as a cameo character, Yakuza 8 producer Masayoshi Yokoyama gave him a tour of the studio's offices. Notably, the office tour offered fans a glimpse at the studio's development process, from character modeling to motion capture.

Towards the beginning of the tour, we can see several developers working on environments, character animations, and event scenes. One event scene featured Yakuza: Like a Dragon protagonists Ichiban Kasuga, Koichi Adachi, and Yu Nanba. Yokoyama added that footage of the event scene had never been released to the public before. Interestingly, Kasuga appears to have a new hairstyle and is only wearing a tanktop.

You can check out the Yakuza 8 images in the video below (images appear around the 9:58 mark):

https://youtu.be/5BZpiZ3HrCA

RGG Studio confirmed the development of a Yakuza: Like a Dragon sequel back in October 2021. In an interview, Yokoyama revealed that the sequel would take place several years after the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. News of the sequel's development came after the departure of Yakuza series producer and studio head Toshihiro Nagoshi.

Yakuza 8 is in development. There is currently no confirmed release date or platform.
